The Masaki family temple, for over two centuries the hidden valley remained hidden as the world changed and not always for the better and there were close calls that they would interfere in the affairs of state, like when Zaft nearly fired that GENESIS weapon on Earth or Requiem if not for those who wish to stop it, like the three Alliance ships, also known as Terminal.
So far, these are internal matters that's being resolved by the natives of this world and so far, they have been successful. However, external matters (meaning the galaxy), are slowly creeping closer to Earth and could come under threat soon, and they are not ready to face the greater danger that lies beyond their shores.
Still, one person is gathering the power and the strength of this world to face the scourge that lurks beyond. He is gathering allies and resources, choosing people worthy of his trust, creating a power base to gather the strength of this world to face the oncoming scourge and it's not easy.
If one look at Shinto Shrine priest Katsuhito Masaki, he looks like any ordinary grandfather figure running the shrine temple, only this was nothing more than a disguise as the long live man of 900 years would still look like in his thirty's. He's enjoying hot tea with his wife Airi as they discuss a certain friend who arrived home three years ago and is already making a name for himself in the Cosmic Era.
Katsuhito remarks "The stars are slowly gathering around him" as he looks at the tablet on the table showing the Earth Alliance new Mobile Suit, the Star Build Strike pitted against Zaft, Rising Freedom and it was duel that could have ended with the Freedom blown apart.
A supposedly Zaft propaganda to showcase Coordinator superiority against Natural but was upended with an Earth Alliance new mobile suit and its Natural born pilot. Supposedly the battle was a loss for the Star Build Strike according to their state sponsored news media, seeing that it violated the weapons restrictions.
But because the test was point gained and point loss, and it sustained no battle damage so there was no loss of points all through that violent obstacle course, where not even a scratch was found. Some analysts say it was an unfair test since the Star Build Strike had to go thru weapons fire and other mobile suits and then face off with the Freedom, but at the other side say it was a fair test because COMPASS takes in only the elite of the elites and not a mediocre pilot.
Major Ranma Saotome of the Earth Alliance Seventh Fleet has proven himself capable to stand toe to toe among the elites of Zaft.
Now Analyst from major robotics institute and companies were asks for their opinion on the battle and one of them was Chief engineer of Morgenroete, Erica Simmons and The Deep Space Survey and Development Organization or D.S.S.D. chief scientist Selene McGriff. Both said that this was a major coup for the Earth Alliance and that no matter how you look at it, the battle was a major victory for the Star Build Strike and its pilot.
Erica Simmons said that lately the Earth Alliance were showing off technological marvels that belong to the realm of science fiction now becoming science fact.
Marvels that Morgenroete now confirmed from sources that, soon to be revealed new alliance ships will have gravity generating devices not rotating sections to simulate gravity, energy shields not Lightwave barriers, inertial dampening field, hardlights technology and holograms that look and feel real. All of that was supplied by a company called Overtechnology, a completely unknown company that appeared only two years ago.
Selene McGriff also added, the Star Build Strike was a creation by a fourteen-year-old boy named Sei Iori the young genius and now Director of Robotics for Overtechnology and who originally designed the famous GAT-105 Strike when he was only 10 years old and that DSSD was interested in collaborating with him to design a new suit for their Voiture Lumiere propulsion system but he disappeared and now he reappeared with a new mobile suit.
Overtechnology creation and its duel against the Rising Freedom was downright impressive along with Major Ranma Saotome exceptional piloting skills, which shows a picture and a video showing him in a Zaft base in a martial arts exhibition, seen him removing his shirt to reveal a body that many women remark that he must be a descendant of Adonis and that more than a dozen web forum is discussing him and a number of envious reviewers asking why this Natural has this kind of body.
Katsuhito can smirk at such remarks were words from people envious of Ranma. The Plants Supreme council approved Saotome entrance to COMPASS and a photo of Ranma holding hands in hand with President Lacus Clyne who is looking up a bit because Ranma is a little taller than Lacus and where a reviewer posted
"Is it me, or…do they look great together?" the replies were in the thousands
"Don't they look such a lovely couple my darling?" Airi remark in agreement
Airi Masaki, Chairwoman Galactic Academy is on Earth visiting Yosho a.k.a. Katsuhito Masaki
"Now, now Airi, the young lady is already engaged to Mr. Yamato. It would be inappropriate for Ms. Clyne to change lovers my dear, and I doubt Ranma would approve of that happening because of him"
"Still, I believe that Ranma is a better partner for Tenchi grandchild" one side of the table is a cup of tea still hot and made for another but is absent in this life for a long time.
"Have you read Washu report on Ms. Clyne?" Yosho ask and Airi nodded
"It's still undetermined, but she believes that Ms. Lacus possesses the same Light Hawk Wings like Tenchi can" Airi sounded serious, and it is a serious matter for the family
"None of Tenchi children and grandchildren have inherited the wings and it's been two centuries since… Tenchi pass away," he heaves a guilty sigh
"Why didn't we sent more people to help him, Seina, Ranma and his friends on that rescue mission was beyond foolish and it cost Tenchi life and nearly lost everyone's lives Seina and Ranma especially"
"Please darling, don't blame yourself for what had happen to Tenchi" Airi said comforting her husband
"We all thought that we put an end to the universe's eternal criminal, only to discover that… Kagato transferred his consciousness to a clone body, at the other end of the galaxy and planned a trap for Tenchi and the others"
"A trap for those who uses the Light Hawk Wings" he added
"Tenchi died, but Ranma put an end to Kagato, once and for all' but at the near cost of his life"
"Koh-Oh-Yoku, the Lightning Eagle Sword, practically an equivalent to Tenchi Light Hawk Wings which is unheard of" Airi shake her head "Earth seems to produce powerful individuals of immeasurable talents" Airi remark
"But not for two centuries, yet I believe that humanities nexus will put an end to this world internal conflict and bring about the new age" Yosho declared remembering his talk with Washu before she left for the Plants
"Ranma is humanity's nexus, he is by definition, the order, the fate and the chaos rolled into one, and it is no accident that he meets the child of destiny and the dream of humanity, and they are getting along quite well…especially for the child of destiny it would seems"
"Washu referred to Lacus, as the Child of Destiny" Yosho stated
"You gave Ranma the Tenchi-ken" Airi noticed the shrine of Tenchi Masaki where the 'Sword of Heaven and Earth' once placed beside the shrine of their grandson but no longer there.
"Only those of noble blood can wield it, and only one of Tenchi descendants can barely summon the blade and yet it confirms the direct lineage to Tenchi" Yosho said
Airi agrees and adds "It would take sheer willpower to summon the Light Hawks Wings from the Tenchi-ken,"
"No child of Tenchi whether they stayed on Earth or migrate to the stars, has ever come close to releasing the full power of the blade nor recreate the wings themselves"
Airi add "I wish we had not put a genetic lock on the children who chose to stay on Earth"
Yosho nodded in agreement "An unfortunate necessity should they accidentally awaken their powers, or someone tampers it, it could be catastrophic. Fortunately, the children who became coordinators have shown no changes at all. Yet Washu believes that Lacus may have the potential to fully release the wings with or without the Tenchi-ken"
"Lacus is a variant of a Coordinator" Airi said
"Aura Maha Khyber, Accords!" Yosho practically spat "That woman, she purposely endangered Lacus mother. Well, by the time Washu arrives at the Plants, everything will change, and the will of the SEED will be fulfilled"
Cosmic Era 75
The border of the Plants controlled airspace
Approaching Zaft controlled space is a fleet of Earth Alliance spaceships from the Eight Fleet in full regalia, on an unusual escort duty, for within the center of their formation is a vessel called the Ryo-Ohki which is an understatement because it looks like an oversized Jack star only its four-tip spike with a dome at the cross moving with unknown propulsion.
The Eight fleet confirms the hand over to Zaft and move away from the border as it says goodbye to Ryo-Ohki, and it confirms with a reply of 'thank you and may your journey be safe my friends'
The Zaft fleet was perplexed at the vessel they were now escorting to the Plants as it looks nothing like any other vessel they know.
This unusual parade did not go unnoticed as news crew ships identified it as the Ryo-Ohki that carries the famous and by a few, infamous geneticists who taught renowned names such as Gilbert Durandal and Ulen Hibiki, is coming to the Plants.
When Lacus informed the Plants Supreme Council that Washu is coming to the Plants, the eugenics lab was ecstatic to have the famous recluse coming over and hopes that her assistance will help resolve their problem.
Many members of the council question why she's associated with the Earth Alliance and that strange ship moving like the Overtechnology transporter, Warren.
They have a few hours before Washu arrival, Lacus, Kira and Ranma are inside the council chamber to answer and asks some questions.
Ranma first explained "Washu association with the EA started after the purge of Blue Cosmos members, and currently she's responsible for Overtechnology R&D division, and the spaceship Ryo-Ohki is her personal creation, perhaps one of the best spaceships in the world" 'In the universe actually' he thought
He also adds "Her being a geneticist is just one field of science that's on her belt. I can't explain the others but I know the Earth Alliance is benefiting from her immensely, something that Blue Cosmos would want to covet but failed due to the fact that they can't find her for years, along with a number of people that went into hiding with her and now, with the reforms initiated in the Atlantic Federation, and certain laws regarding civil rights have been restored and new ones to strengthen and enforce it are into law. They will make their presence known soon enough.
Now, as for Washu coming here, she is coming here on my behalf and whatever help she may give you, will depend on her. Still, you should expect her to ask for compensation to her services"
"Compensation!?" Hari Jagannath look infuriated by Ranma presence here in council chamber
"As I said, she is coming on my behalf and her services are not free. Or should I call her and cancel coming here?" It was a threat of epic proportions. As the day before, in an unofficial meeting, Ranma explains that he found out about their treaty violation thanks to an insider in the eugenic lab and are quite unhappy that they have a spy but don't know who.
"You could have just asked me first"
"And you might have said no" Eilleen Canaver said
"And you are right, I would say no, with my own reasons and my right to use my DNA as I see fit" Ranma replied.
"The survival of our species takes precedence over mundane individual rights" Jagannath replied angrily, and it was not helping the council, and they know it.
"Oh, really?" Ranma sounded sarcastic "That is amazing, coming from a people who believe that they are an evolve new species but, unable to fix themselves without this mundane individual help" he pointed to himself which embarrass Jaganath for that remark
"Tell me now, are there no more avenues of solution to your problem that you resorted to use, other than what Durandal proposes?" Ranma asks and everyone was silent, and that very much confirms it
"Major Saotome" the head chief geneticist and from Washu information, his name is Shawn Aster, blond hair, dark complexion and green eyes and one of Washu former student and he looks like he's shaking badly.
"The chromosome we found in your DNA is unique and it is helping us bridge the connection between the DNA Natural's unaltered genes and Coordinators. Please forgive me that I must report to you, that we successfully produced over 100,000 viable embryos in a span of…of only seven days" By everyone's reaction, this was the first they have heard such a high number in birthrate.
Ranma already knew of this, and he was silent about it and then asks, "You were able to produce that much from my blood alone?"
"Yes, unfortunately we have hit a wall" Shawn replied as he showed DNA result on the viewscreen
"We replicated your unique chromosome pattern as best we could…the possibility of you ordering us to destroy your DNA was likely, and at first it showed some promise but," he hesitated to continue
"But what?" Lament asks
"The replicated chromosome pattern shows instability, lowering the success rate of viable embryos to one out of ten, and yet even with the successful ones, it showed undesirable results." He reported
"There are deformities in the fetus during growth and eventually they die." He said solemn
"The lab had tried everything to replicate it for weeks, nothing works. As if a component of the chromosome only exists in Major Saotome DNA and no one else we know has it"
"Doctor Aster," Lacus call his attention and asks, "Is there nothing else that can be done?"
He shakes his head "We have done everything we could, our science here is far above any found anywhere on Earth and yet, we cannot replicate this for some reason!" He was angry and frustrated at the continuous failure of their lab.
Aster looks back at Ranma and then he did something surprising. He put his hands on the table and bowed his head towards Ranma and practically pleading to him
"Major Saotome, the eugenic lab will pay you any amount you want. I beg your forgiveness in the act of slight on your person and that I beg you again, let us have your support for the survival of my people!"
That display of humility was surprising even for Ranma
Ranma blink once, blink twice as his brain is processing on what just happened 'Did he just caved in?' he look to Lacus and Kira and they were surprised to this admittance
"If this guy is bowing his head to me, then you guys are in more trouble than the Alliance thought you are" he whispers to Lacus and Kira
"I have to agree with you on that, Ranma"
The council was in an uproar, Aster has just admitted that they have used every means necessary baring unethical means to increase their birthrate and it's still dropping into dangerous levels
Before this went on Ranma cellphone silently vibrate in his breast pocket, and it to alert him of a message. He read text and then quickly stood up
"Washu is now inside the colony!" Ranma declared
"What? That's impossible. It will take two hours for them travel to the Plants, and what do you mean inside?" Jagannath said
"If she wants to, she would've been here already and not doing a parade" Ranma replied and quickly walk out of the chamber along with Kira and Lacus right behind him
"If I know Washu, she's just outside the council hall"
"How would you know?" Kira asks as they walk outside the sound of a cat cry reverberated all around and Ryo-Ohki is seen circling around the council hall at speed of a fighter plane and stirring the wind.
"How in the world did it get inside the colony?" Kira asks as he keeps track of the ship zipping around without making any turbulence wake
"Incredible!" Lacus remark in amazement while Ranma just smiled at everyone reaction in Washu showing off
"Madam President, I do believe we need to tell Zaft not to shoot at Ryo-Ohki, and also, secure the landing ground for her" Lacus just nods in agreement
A few minutes later, at a specified landing ground and secured perimeter by Zaft as Ryo-Ohki hovers above the landing ground and in a flash of light and chimes (think of the Stargate SG-1 Asgard transport beam) people appear below where there was no one.
"Teleportation" Ranma declared
That demonstration of technological superiority was amazing and downright disconcerting as it continues to deposit people, luggage and other items on the ground. Now as for the people, some are clearly soldiers, especially the towering green giant in full body suit, a nasty looking gun on his back, that no one recognizes the weapons model and that helmet with a gold faceplate.
"Ranma, who are they?" Lacus asks
"They are Spartans, seventh fleet Special Forces group who will be shadowing Washu for the duration of Washu time here. Excuse me" he walks forward towards them first before they officially meet up.
Upon seeing Ranma, the stood straight and saluted and Ranma return the salute
"Major Saotome"
"Good to see you again Chief" Ranma saluted as he greeted them
"Sorry that I ask for your assistance. I know you have other missions more important than bodyguard work"
"It's no bother Major, this is our duty" the Chief said
"Ranma" Washu called his attention
"Washu" acknowledge and gave a hug and then and look at the people in hooded robes "Did you asks the tailor to make them Jedi robes or something?" there were muffled amusement
"Seriously though" Ranma looks to two of them who look excited and anxious as they keep looking towards Lacus and Kira. Looking in the hood, he confirms who it is
"Can I ask you to hold on just a little longer?" his eyes look behind him "I know you waited for this day to come, and they have only seen you in pictures"
The two nodded as the third one step up and know who it is "I'm sorry ma'am, but he's not here, not for a long time" Ranma apologizing
The third one look despondent at the news as the other two comforts the third as Ranma look to Washu and she nodded "It's time"
Ranma headed back to Lacus and Kira and they have questioning look on their faces and with a gentle hand gesture "It's nothing serious" he said
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, the third one was a bit sad that, her son is not here at the moment" he answered
"Her son?"
"Yeah, I think she live here a while back with her son and husband" Ranma explained but not revealing who the woman is, at least not yet.
As the welcoming ceremony was about to begin, Ranma handed Lacus and Kira the bouquet of red and yellow roses, something Ranma asks them to be prepared. From what Ranma told them the red and yellow roses has a meaning in them like, the yellow roses meanings are 'remember me' and 'welcome back' while the red ones are obviously, for 'love'
When the greeting finally began, Lacus and Kira was about to present Washu the flowers to her but instead, Washu directed it to someone else
"Kira, Lacus you should give these to those two, they waited so long to meet you two" Washu gesture to the two and when they did Lacus came first to greet them and introduce themselves to their guest.
"Welcome to the Plants, my name is Lacus Clyne, and this is Kira Yamato"
"Welcome to the Plants" Kira greeted
"W-We know who you are" one spoke a woman voice trembling
"We waited aaaa, long time to see you again" two spoke to Kira which is also trembling
"Eh?"
Without another word the two people in robes gave Kira and Lacus a hug which startled them both and sounded like they were crying
"My little angel" one said
"My boy, my little Kira" two said
"EH!?" both felt their heart skip a beat for this had never come into mind and even in their dreams of two people they thought were dead. The two robes' individuals took a step back, remove their hood and pull down their face mask to reveal two people they only recognize in pictures
"Sophia Loren Clyne and Via Hibiki!"
"Helllo…Lacus"
"Kira…"
"Mother..." both Kira and Lacus said together as their eyes glazed over with tears and they started hugging and crying it was an emotional reunion.
Meanwhile, across the globe, this scene is being shown live with captions of who the people are.
It is a scene of epic consequences for everyone.

A teacup was drop on the floor shattering it, as Cagalli Yula Attha is looking at his brother Kira hugging their birth mother who they thought was killed by Blue Cosmos years ago. Cagalli was practically in tears and in disbelief when the caption says Via Hibiki that identifies the woman and rushed to her desk to look at the photo of a woman cradling two babes in her arms
"No, no way, no it can't be" she mutters and with an angry order to her staff
"Prep the Kusanagi for launch, were heading for the Plants, NOW!"
"Cagalli calm down" Colonel Ledonir Kisaka Cagalli military advisor who was there to give his opinion in Washu spaceship and he's completely stump and then, the revealing of Cagalli birth mother and Lacus, both supposed to be dead but she's alive and well.
"Calm down? You want me to calm down? My mother is alive all this time and so is Lacus mother is alive as well. What the hell is going on up there!?" she demanded as tears still flowing down her cheeks
"Have the Alliance been keeping them prisoner all this time? I want answers!"
"That's the reason why we need to be calm and ask for more information before doing something rash. Cagalli, this is being staged by the Alliance for some reason"
"Being staged? What do you mean…no, it can't be" Cagalli attention was on tv screen where a third person revealed herself to Lacus and she and the other councilor know who she is all too well.
"That's, Lenore Zala" she mutters in her breath in disbelief "Athrun mother…she supposed to have died when Junius 7 was destroyed!"
Members of council who know Lenore were in disbelief at what they were seeing with their own eyes even as some members know her well is hugging and crying with her in joy and elation of her being alive.
Washu guarantees her identity, saying that she and the others are under the care of Washu people and that the current Earth Alliance command is aware of their existence for years. She also said that a few are in EA secret detention centers, charged for war crimes.
"What is going on?" was Cagalli question gritting her teeth
"Get me the Atlantic Federation ambassador!"
Aprillius City Council Hall
"What is going on?" was also Kira question while in a roller coaster of emotions as he looks towards Ranma who is just standing by the side quietly watching them as one of the hooded people walk towards him and start talking to Ranma as if they were long time friends
"You have been gone for god knows how long, and the moment you come back you dive into a war that was none of your business, led a coup to take the EA away from tyrants, help rebuild it, and now we found you here of all places" said the woman who is removing her Jedi robes to reveal a stunning beauty and made Ranma smile.
The woman, dark brown eyes, long braided dark brown hair that reaches all the way down to her ankles, fair complexion and a stunning body that goes well with her blue skirt and the light green blouse she's wearing which hugs her body and shows how slim her waist and large breast are.
'I don't remember her having that bigger breast, she must have grown a lot' he thought
"Ranma, eyes on me and not on my chest" she chides him
"Gach! I'm not looking at," he stops and bit his lip which the woman giggles in amusement
"Kasumi" he whispers with such affection in the tone
"Ranma-kun" she greeted as she hugs him and with a surprise to Ranma, she kissed him on the lips and Ranma responded back as he held on to her hips
'Well, this is very nice' he remarks as he savors the kiss 'My God, the taste of cherry red, wow!'
"I have waited for a long time to do that with you"
"Have you now" he teases as they sway together
"Oh, yes" she replied smiling at him
"Here I thought you would marry Doc. T back in Japan, I mean"
"Ranma!" she shakes her head "It didn't work out"
"I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me"
"No, it was a long time ago" she heaves a sigh remembering those days like they were yesterday
"How have I waited for him to… and even confronted him and still," she couldn't continue and just buried her face in Ranma chest muffled her words, but Ranma can hear them well enough
"That fool! I couldn't get a decent answer. He was hopeless jerk!"
"I'm so sorry" he covered her in his arms
She looks up and wipe the tears "It's ok, I am over him"
"So, you are here now, and you are Washu apprentice?" Ranma ask and add
"Washu showed me that graduation photo of her top students and you are practically at the center seated with Washu hand on your shoulder and another on Mrs. Clyne" Ranma remembers
"It's a well-known fact, that the top student in any class is at the center of any school photo. You and Sophia is in that center, but you"
"Yes, I am one of Washu top student" Kasumi declared "My skills and abilities are beyond that of Ulen, Gilbert or Aura, that bitch of #$%&" that last part is a surprise to Ranma as she never once heard Kasumi curse like a sailor before
"Kasumi please be civil there are children here" Sophia exclaims as she steps forward with Lacus Kira and Via by her side
Kasumi, however, was fired up from anger at mentioning Aura name "She almost killed you sister. and nearly ruined Lacus life if Washu hadn't step forward and repair the damage she had done!"
"Sister?" Lacus look at her mother for answers "Mother, what does she mean by that, about your life endanger and nearly ruin mine"
"Kasumi was adopted on my side of the family, and believe it or not, she is my big sister" Sophia said
"Big sister? but she looks no older than I am" Lacus pointed out. In fact, Lacus mother looked like she didn't even age from the many pictures Washu sent her
"That's true Lacus, we don't really look and feel our age" Kasumi answered
"Reason for that is, both of them are Natural born Coordinators" Sophia pointed out
"What!?"
Before Lacus could ask for more information, Washu step up and clap her hands to get their attention "Everyone, there is a time for that later, but right now we need to settle in and have a talk with the council" she said and look to Kasumi
"Kasumi, could you call down Ryo-Ohki and Ranma please watch over her for me?"
"Of course, Ms. Washu" Kasumi replied and look to Ranma smiling sweetly
"Could you keep me company?" she asks, and he nodded
"For you, always" Ranma then turn to the others
As Ranma and Kasumi Walk towards Ryo-Ohki, Lacus felt a tinge of jealousy when she sees Ranma hand behind Kasumi hips and her arm lock on his. She was shocked to see them both kissed like lovers and that her blood started to boil hot so suddenly in seeing such affection towards Ranma by this woman named Kasumi
"What a lovely couple" Washu suddenly remarks that will probably douse gasoline into the fire
"Kasumi is a much better choice than her sister Akane. I never really approve of that violent tempered tomboy attitude toward Ranma, he deserves better"
"Akane? Ranma ex-fiancée is Ms. Kasumi her sister?" Lacus queried for information
"You heard about her eh, well Kasumi is the oldest of three sisters, Nabiki is the middle child, Akane the youngest of the three" Washu said explaining
"There was an agreement between their father's and Akane was pushed to be Ranma fiancée but, that didn't work out, so Kasumi accepted the engagement instead"
As Kasumi and Ranma are now below the ship, Ranma talk to the personnel that came with Washu
"Is this all of it?" he asks, and the one who manage the personnel replied
"This is the last cargo sir" he saluted in respect
"Good. Kasumi, you can call Ryo-Ohki down" he said to her, and she nodded
"Ryo-Ohki, you can come down now!" and with a loud miyah! Cry from the ship, and then it glowed and suddenly it began to shrink right before everyone's eyes and when it was small enough a flash occurred, and an object was falling into Ranma arms, catching it.
"I got you Ryo-Ohki!" It looks like a child in kindergarten clothes with cat ears, and she looks cheerful and happy in seeing Ranma again after so long saying "Miyah! Miyah!"
"I miss you too, oh yeah here you go, your favorite treats a carrot sandwich" he said and pulled out a carrot sandwich from somewhere and immediately she grabbed it and began devouring it.
Everyone is stunned silent, and if this was a cartoon their eyes would be bulging like dinner plates, and their jaws hitting the floors by what they just witnessed. The spaceship that was floating up in the air just a while ago is gone, replaced by a strange child with cat ears of some kind and it's in the arms of Major Saotome.
Washu explained to the council that Ryo-Ohki is one of her children, her creation and a marvel of her brilliance as the greatest scientist in the universe, which is arrogant and yet seeing that kind of technological achievement, they can't help but agree.
