The next day
A Celebratory banquet for the future parents as more of their friends arrived to congratulate Lacus and Kira on being future parents and they see that Lacus was practically glowing with love as a child is growing in her wound.
Ranma is sitting pretty by the side smiling with Kasumi by her side
"They will make great parents, I am sure of it, but" Ranma remark but the last part holds some concern
"Are you worried about them?" Kasumi asks and Ranma nodded
"The bonds between those two, will be stronger than ever. The worrying part is that they will be quite determined and eager to bring a peaceful world for their child to be born to"
"Is that so bad?"
"It is, if you start acting reckless and get yourself killed by doing it" he answered
"Like we were or, should I say, just like you in the old days?" Kasumi tease and Ranma chuckled
"Guilty as charged"
As the party went on, Ranma noticed Washu and the others gesturing to them to follow her to her lab via the subspace dimension door.
Guarding the door to the lab is the Spartan team while Ranma, the Angels and the Master Chief are discussing something important inside.
"I take it you are all worried about them?" Ranma inquire
"Isn't that obvious?" Washu said
"We all have the same thoughts, and I am just as worried about Lacus going to Foundation and near that…woman and her hellspawn!" Sophia spat, and Via agree with her
"I don't like it as well Sophia. Aura was a fellow classmate of ours and to think that she purposely tries to kill you is disheartening"
"She is up to something!" Sophia exclaims
"I agree with you on that ma'am, but the problem is, we don't know what that is" Ranma added
"If we follow the schedule, in two weeks from now, COMPASS forces will be heading for the Kingdom of Foundation to finally deal with Colonel Michael once and for all. But my instincts are telling me that COMPASS is walking into a trap" Ranma said
"Do you have a reason for it?" Washu asks curious
"Yeah, a dreamscape I had several weeks ago, and it linked together with Lacus and then to Kira for some reason, and there, I found an intruder which I beat the shit out him, and no it's not that old fart of a bastard Freddy. I didn't recognize him at first, but when I received the mission assignment to the Kingdom of Foundation yesterday, I have a name for the face, and it's Orphee Lam Tao, Chancellor of the Kingdom of Foundation, and he was intruding on Lacus dream and maybe doing it for quite a while"
That was concerning for everyone especially for Washu, Sophia and Via. Fears were vindicated
"Ranma, are you sure of this?" Via asks concerned
"Oh yeah, and I know it was him because I got intel from E.A.I.A. (Earth Alliance Intelligence Agency) last week about Orphee Lam Tao being rushed to the hospital weeks ago, after they found him beaten to a pulp in his own room one night by an unknown assailant" Ranma chuckled at that
"That perverted bastard is still in the hospital after the whoop ass I gave him" pounded her chest proudly
"If this is a trap for COMPASS, how do we stop it or how do we stop Lacus from going there?" Sophia asks worry in her voice to the point of hysteric
"I do not want my daughter near that woman or any of her children!"
"Sophia, calm down" Washu placing a hand on Sophia shoulders
"We need to tread carefully, for there are things hiding in the shadows and being rash will not help us or Lacus"
"I know Washu. I-I just want to keep my daughter safe, and with the baby coming," Sophia voice shaking in worry
"As do we all Sophia" Washu said, and everyone agrees
"Well, if we can't stop the trip, maybe we can delay it a bit" Ranma suggested
"What would that do, Ranma?" Kasumi asks
"Give us enough time to figure something out" he said and look to the Master Chief
"Chief, if we let this mission to Foundation go forward as scheduled, what do you think will do?
The Chief answered "They want a quick end to the conflict, because they are fighting for the peace that they want their child to live in. There is no doubt, they will get reckless, especially commander Yamato"
"Agreed" Ranma look towards the others
"Our current concern now is the remnant of Blue Cosmos, primarily Colonel Michael and his group is the most active among the 12 remnants scattered across the globe"
"What do you suggest Ranma?" Kasumi asks
"We need to deal with Michael, and once he's gone, we try to convince the others to surrender peacefully and then deal with Foundation" he answered
"I don't think that all of them are as rabid and fanatic as Michael" Ranma thinking loadly
"But how do you get them to surrender?" Via asks
"One problem at a time Mrs. Hibiki. But for now, let's delay the trip with a slow wedding planning and where they will go for their honeymoon next"
When plans for a wedding ceremony were being made, Lacus and Kira were hoping for a small ceremony with family and friends attending. However, the mothers and Washu, have something else in mind, and yet will still honor their wishes of having only family and friends attending.
They just didn't say how big a family is attending, especially Lacus family on her mother's side.
A day later,
To Ranma annoyance she is still a girl and continued being drooled over by men and a few women, some with envious looks from other women on the streets wasn't helping. Worst of all, the Internet is buzzing like crazy with pictures of her, every time he comes out in public, with a different wardrobe that makes her look like a super model and together in arms with an equally beautiful woman.
Today, Kasumi is visiting the eugenics lab with Kamidake as her mobile supercomputer and Ranma acting as her bodyguard and this time, she's wearing another uniform that looks like it came from the wardrobe of Takao, from Azur Lane, and it practically hugs her shapely form.
Meanwhile, Washu is entertaining visitors from the Orb Union that arrived at Washu residence just half an hour ago and they are quite anxious to meet several people who were brought to the visitor's hall where two groups meet the people they are anxious to see.
Hall 1: Standing before Via Hibiki is Caridad and Haruma Yamato. Caridad and Via are sisters, both held back their tears until the two hug each other and finally cried together as they greeted each other.
"Sister, are you well?" Via asks tears flowing as Caridad felt amused with the question
"I should be the one asking that, not you Sis, I thought you were dead!"
"I had to go into hiding, otherwise I would have endangered the children" Via replied, as Caridad break away from the hug and wipe the tears away
"Well, you know Kira he is safe and," she steps to Cagalli side and slowly pushes her forward seeing that she's hesitating, and she can feel Cagalli heart racing fast.
"Let me introduce to you, your daughter, her name now is Cagalli Yula Attha" she announced
"Cagalli, let me introduce you to your mother, Via."
Cagalli felt like her legs weakening before the woman who she only had seen in photos is right before her. She is now looking at her and Via gently touching her hair, looking at her while tears of joy were still flowing down her cheeks.
"You have your father's eyes" she remarks which made Cagalli finally let out her emotions and finally gave her a hug and called her, "Mother"
"My little girl, my little Cagalli" she whispers and finally a dam of emotions breached.
Hall 2: It was the same scene in another room, where Athrun Zala met her dead mother along Dearka Elsman and Yzak Joule with Ezalia Joule his mother. The question racing thru Athrun mind is where was she all this time?
"I thought you were dead, mom, where were you?"
"I was on another…hiding in an Alliance detention center and, where it is…its complicated" Was Lenore Zala answer which was puzzling.
"Complicated, what do you mean, complicated?"
"I wasn't mistreated or harmed or anything…it's a long story, one that I am not allowed to disclose anything in agreement with the Alliance and…once Washu business with the eugenics lab is done, I must return with her back to Earth Alliance territory."
"Why would you want to go back, you are home mom!" Athrun exclaimed angrily at the thought of her leaving as his mother cup his son face and look at her.
"Athrun, listen to me" she said.
"Please understand, I can't stay, and I won't because so many people who are relying on me and are relying on the Alliance for protection, from far more dangerous people than Blue Cosmos."
"Relying on the Alliance for protection? Mother, I don't understand."
"Calm down Athrun" Lenore him calms down a little "In time you will, but for now I am here for you"
Lenore looks at her son and heave a sigh of dismay "You are too young to carry so much burden on your shoulders, as do you friends" she looks towards Yzak and Dearka
"It's a burden I would gladly carry, if it means and to end this conflict" Athrun replied
"Sadly true, you have to face conflicts after conflicts of your parents own making, and I am afraid that another is brewing and this time it is centered around Lacus and Kira and I fear for her safety"
"Lacus? Why would you be afraid for her safety?" Athrun thinking about his investigation on the Kingdom of Foundation and using an incident with the country's prime minister as a distraction, Athrun was able to acquire information that was disturbing and finally put two and two together.
"Is this about her…being an Accords?" Lenore was surprised by that.
"You know about that?"
"I was in the Kingdom of Foundation, investigating them, the queen, Aura Maha Khyber and her children."
Lenore nodded as she knows who they are "I see"
"Sophia, Lacus mother have been…eloquently cursing Aura name with such colorful…words. Her favorite of calling Aura, the queen bitch from hell and her children, she calls them hellspawn of evil, and those are just the ones that I could say and other names that I will not mention because it's too foul" Lenore said and a bit amused
"Queen bitch from hell?" Yzak repeated in surprise in hearing it
"Hellspawn of Evil? Well, that's a first" Dearka repeated the word "Normally a Natural would call a Coordinator a hellspawn but,"
"Sophia and Aura have a history with each other, well they were once friends but no longer. Calling her a bitch is well… it's deserving, and she doesn't like the Idea of her daughter going to Foundation where Aura is, especially when Lacus is pregnant and admittedly, I share her concerns as well." Lenore declared
"Everyone seems very protective of her Lenore" Ezalia was curious
"Everyone who is related to Lacus and Kira, no more so than Sophia, Washu and Major Saotome" Lenore added the last person in a mutter, but everyone heard her
"That Alliance guy who beaten Kira in that certification test?" Dearka points out and is still in disbelief that he beat Kira in a one-on-one match.
Ever since that test, Zaft wanted access to the Star Build Strike and analysis of the pilot capabilities using the fight data. To say that the scientists and engineers at the robotics and cybernetics department was peeved that their mobile suits were beaten by a mobile suit based on a child toy of all things, and the idea of using a kind plastic that's strong, durable, lightweight and radiation proof was something they never thought of, and it would have solve the weight issues since the heavier the suit has become the more power it needs to move it.
They were even bewildered when they found most of its internal components are based off on the 105 Strike and close to that of the Freedom. There were also other systems they believed to be part of the Plavsky Particles Systems, and though they can reproduce minute pieces of the system, they can't reproduce particle itself which is a completely unknown form of energy.
Then there was the pilot, a person with spatial awareness equal or above that of Kira and in the chaotic mess that is the battlefield, he's practically in control, so much so that GiNN and Zaku pilots can't keep up and were helpless in the test despite their efforts to overwhelm him.
They grudgingly acknowledged Saotome skills and abilities and when they rewatch the fight with the Rising Freedom. They can't believe that there is a pilot in the Earth Alliance, that is not an Extended, with a level equal to Kira Yamato, and wonders where was this guy during the war because they never even encountered him.
"So, what about him?" Dearka asks dismissively
"He's, well right now he's a female, thanks to Washu which I find very disconcerting that she can actually do that, I mean, make a person switch genders with a bucket of water," she was about to start when she first gave words of advice that needs to be heeded
"Athrun, Dearka, Yzak and Ezalia, please for all that is holy, do not piss off Washu by calling her a ghoul, old hag or any other name. So please, don't make her angry, otherwise she may do far worse than changing your gender so please, show her the respect she deserved"
The four looked at each other and they nodded in agreement which made Lenore feels relieved at that "Oh, thank goodness! Now thankfully, that particular creation of hers was something she rarely used on others, but most of the time on the Major… everytime he has a 'foot on his mouth disease' like what happen a few days ago. Though I do hear rumors that it was recently used as a punishment for sexual deviants, miscreants, pedophiles and rapists."
"She used that on others?" Ezalia asks her thoughts of what that might be
"In rumors and stories" she cleared
Lenore tells a story from what she heard, about several sexual deviants who kidnap a child and… violated her. Lenore face darkened that the criminal were all caught and sentence with a punishment regarded as an 'eye for an eye', where Washu was called in to exact the proper punishment, which is the gender changing water poured on them, and though it was not permanent, it was enough to make them regret the harm they did when they were thrown into a den of sex starved criminals in prison somewhere and well, they get the idea.
"Poetic Justice indeed" Ezalia remark
The others felt like all the blood ran down their feet. If something like that was being used to punish sexual violators then it's poetic justice to let them go through the same pain, brutality and humiliation of their victims. They didn't want to wonder what else can Washu do to punish criminals. Thankfully, seeing how uncomfortable they are, Lenore returns to the subject.
"Ok, now where were we? Oh right, Saotome is a Major in rank yes, but she's deeply connected to Overtechnology and from what I understand, Ms. Washu would never come here to the Plants unless Major Saotome approved it, and the Alliance command would always agree with her. So, Washu coming here to the Plants, is by Major Saotome word alone, and that includes me, Via and Sophia"
"He has that much influence and he's just a Major. Who is this guy?" Athrun questioned with concern in his voice
"I'll say" Yzak agrees "that Washu lady, Kira and Lacus mother and that woman named Kasumi, they solve the sterility problem that's taking the eugenics lab forever to solve, and they did it in an hour, like it was not a problem for them!" Yzak said in disbelief of what happened, but eugenic lab confirmed it.
"And you say that, she wouldn't come here without Major Saotome approval? It sounded like she's being treated like she's royalty or something, Mrs. Zala" Dearka remarked
Lenore acknowledged "I agree with you on that, Dearka"
"So, who is Major Ranma Saotome really, and why does he have such influence over so many people that the Alliance would just bow down to him?" Ezalia questioned
"I know very little about him from conversations I have with Ms. Washu. However, I do know that he's highly respected and I believed that he influenced several reforms in the Earth Alliance and numerous policy changes in the Atlantic Federation, which makes him invaluable to them. Then, there is Ms. Kasumi Tendo, for not only is she Washu apprentice but also considered as a miracle worker in her own right, and she is one of the Major Saotome fiancées."
"Don't you mean fiancée, mother?" Athrun corrected but Lenore said otherwise
"No, I clearly said, Kasumi is one of the Major fiancées…as in plural, as in more than one… which is Washu told me about it"
Athrun, Dearka and Yzak and his mother had to blink several times on the information
"How the hell did he get more than one as fiancée? Is that even legal" Dearka asks in disbelief and a little envy
"Nobody should be that lucky," Dearka sounded complaining. He followed reviews in forums in the social media, on their opinion about the Japanese beauty that's Kasumi Tendo, and they rated her as ten over ten as one of the most beautiful women in the world.
"A question you should ask him, Dearka. What is important is that he is someone that Washu has great confidence in, and if they ask Ranma to protect Lacus at all costs, then Ranma would do it without question, without hesitation and to the death if need be"
"They have that a high confidence in him?" Ezalia said curious
"It wouldn't be just them" Lenore tells them "I know many people knows him as much as Washu and Ms. Kasumi does, and when they talk about him…they keep their guard up to those who don't, and you can hear it in their voice, the reverence and respect for him that makes him look like a savior"
Lenore looks back to her son "Athrun, if you have information about Foundation, it would be best to tell them now," Lenore said as she heaves a sigh "Everyone is trying to find a way to dissuade Lacus decision to travel to Foundation, no more so than Sophia herself who is frantic"
Athrun nodded "Alright, but I don't know if what I gathered is enough to convince her since I pulled out from my mission a bit early"
"Anything that could help, and thank you Athrun"
An hour later, in a secured conference hall, Athrun showed what he found and some of it confirms information they have about the Accords. What they do not have is a link to 'Destiny Plan' where the supposed Role of Lacus Clyne and her predestined mate, the man she was going to fall in love upon first sight and devote herself to, Orphee Lam Tao.
What Athrun brought was damning.
Two people, Accords, genetically engineered to fall in love with each other without question and will become the guiding rulers like some king and queen and that Aura children, members of the elite group known as the 'Black Knights' acts as the elite guards and enforcers of their will to humanity.
"So, Washu, will Lacus automatically fall in love with this asshole at first sight?" Ranma asks so crudely
A question everyone would like to ask as well, and that includes Lacus herself because she is not exactly thrilled to find out that she's genetically programmed to fall in love with some guy against her will.
Washu snort at the idea "Like I would leave something like that in her DNA" Washu put held Lacus hand who is beside her at the conference room
"You don't have to worry about something like that from happening Lacus" Washu assured her "you are not some statues created to be loved"
"But Destiny Plan,"
"Destiny be damned, you have the freewill to choose to love and to fall in love with any person of your choosing. It is as some would say 'Your God given rights' unquote" that brightens her up as Washu look towards Kira who still seemed worried but now relieved as Lacus and then look towards Ranma when she spoke up
"She's still vulnerable to psychic intrusion, Washu" Ranma said
"Psychic intrusion?" Kira looks to Ranma
"Can you remember what I told you a while back, about… going to the beach and what you should bring with you for fun?" Ranma question mischievously
"The Beach?" both Lacus and Kira remembers that dream too well and blush like tomatoes
'Yep, they remember'
"Wait, but that was," Ranma didn't give Kira a chance to inquire further
"We somehow ended up having a mental connection through our dreams for some reason, and I saw an intruder was in Lacus' dream that he shouldn't be there. As did I" she admits as Ranma look at Lacus with seriousness
"Answer me honestly now, how long have you've been seeing his face in your sleep, Lacus?" Ranma held up a photo of Orphee Lam Tao and she was a bit shaken to the face haunting her dream.
"Several times, for the past six months but, but lately he hasn't shown up…right after you beat him up" that made Ranma smile in gleeful satisfaction
"What are you guys talking about?" Athrun asks curious as do everyone
"Dreamscape, Orphee Lam Tao was trying to influence Lacus by intruding through her dreams several times, charming her bit by bit. Being able to do this is easy, if the person is also an Accords. That bastards been taking advantage of Lacus, thru her dreams" Ranma felt her blood boil
"Wait, that was you who sent him to the hospital, thru his dreams?"
"Yeahhh, that was me" he admitted
"They can enter someone's dream?" Athrun doubts as it was unbelievable
"I know only one who can and as for the others, well who knows. But we do know that they are telepathic and if this information is correct. Then they are telepathically link to each other and that means they can coordinate in the battlefield better than we do"
Lacus felt sick to her stomach, and her mother Sophia by her side is giving support as Kira is simmering in anger.
"Lacus calm down" Sophia comforts her daughter "calm down Lacus, getting all work up is bad for the baby"
"I know, I'm sorry, it's just that," Sophia pulls her daughter into her arms shushing her to calmness and then look to Ranma and ask
"Can you help her?"
"To guard her thoughts? Easier said than done but not impossible, but I am more worried about Kira here?"
"Me?"
"No disrespect commander, but you are an open book of emotions and there are far too many things going through that head of yours that a telepathic attack could cause you to lose control of yourself in the battlefield" Ranma look to the other members of COMPASS before speaking his concern
"The Kingdom of Foundation could be a bigger threat to COMPASS than Michael, and if we go up against the Foundation Black Knights as we are…we may lose most of you in one fight alone." He said and that caused most of members of COMPASS skeptical
"I wouldn't disregard Ranma assessment if I were you" Washu spoke up in Ranma behalf "He knows what he's talking about, so take his word as gospel"
"Thank you, Washu"
"Ranma, why would you say we would lose a fight with the Black Knights?" Kira asks
"Gut feeling, using telepathy in a battlefield is kinda feels like a plotline in some comic book villain when I was a kid, and I suspect that there is more to these guys which we need to investigate further. So, too me to know what they are capable of, I need to piss them off and make them show me what they got, if I decided to meet them"
"Piss them off?' Dearka repeated
Washu explained "What he means is, he's going to gauge their abilities, and that's by provoking them to show their skillset, a classic tactic for a martial artist facing a new opponent"
Ranma then asks "Washu, you analyzed Lacus DNA before you did the repair and undid what Aura has done. What can you tell us about them?"
With a flick of a wrist a holographic image of Lacus DNA before and after her repair is shown
"If you based their abilities on what I found in Lacus DNA well, we discussed this before, and I went thru hundreds of simulations, possible and probable outcomes just to make sure and…Captain Kirk got it right on the mark"
"Who's Captain Kirk?" Athrun asks for not recognizing the name. Ranma smiled and answered
"Just someone who a while back, once upon a time, dealt with genetically engineered humans similar to Accords and he said that 'superior abilities, breeds superior ambition's' which is quite applicable to Aura Accords than to most coordinators which, you guys are lucky you didn't cross that line"
"How so?" It was Washu answered Kira question
"Aura efforts succeeded in making supermen yes, they are stronger, faster, agile, quick to react and adapt to any situation. In theory"
"In theory," Dearka repeated as Washu continue to explain
"As children becomes adults, chemical changes will occur, well, we just call it puberty and for an Accords, they will be displaying unforeseen traits that Aura did not consider it would happen or just ignored it completely"
"Such as?"
"Such as high aggression, savagery, arrogance and a lack of conscience and if you factor in a human being's emotions like envy, jealousy, anger, hatred …well, all of humanity worst traits will multiply by a factor of ten, and I know Aura is teaching them or telling them that they are created to be the superior beings and that they will lead the world as gods. That kind of education, will make a child grow up looking down than on others, like they are beneath them" Washu said in finality
"Someone like that with telepathy to boot is dangerous" Ranma remark
"Telepathy, is that even real" asks a skeptical Dearka
Ranma took a deep breath as he mentally concentrated to yell words using his thoughts only
'Telepathy is real because, I experience it before and if you can hear my thoughts, then please raise your hand…and say altogether 'Athrun swings the other way, he's in love with Kira, Cagalli chest is flat as a cutting board and… Ranma Saotome is in love with Lacus, and she is carrying his child. LONG LIVE Ranma, the greatest stud muffin in the universe!"
It took everyone thirty-seconds to process what just happen and the reaction of some of them, is hilariously predicted.
"HEY! I'm not Gay and I am not in love with Kira!" Athrun blushing red as he shouted indignant
"My chest is not flat, you jerk!" Cagalli shouted back growling at Ranma but when she looked at her breast and compared it to hers, she felt defeated which is the funniest reaction from them.
"You are in love with Lacus, and she's carrying your child!?" Kira looking shocked and outraged as he turns to Lacus as she started denying
"Kira! I am not carrying his child!" she protested
Ranma was stifling a laugh at their reaction and everyone who heard Ranma thoughts raised their hand, and they tried not to laugh at his antics
"Greatest stud muffin" Luna muttered giggling a little as do most of the ladies. Well, except for Kasumi, she's just smiling at Ranma and he's sure as the sun, she's going to have an earful from her later on.
"Oh yeah, what you just heard is my mental shout trick and it's not telepathy per se. But if you can hear that, then they can hear your thoughts or send their own thoughts and false image to you and that is dangerous" she said
"Unfortunately, it takes time to teach you on how to guard your thoughts… and no, putting an aluminum foil hat on your head is not going to shield you from them Miss Meyrin Hawke!"
"Wow! You heard what I thought?" Meyrin asks stunned
"No, I heard you mumbled thru your breath about aluminum hat" Ranma answered
"Oh"
"Ranma" Washu called him and offered him "I think I have something to help shield their minds from prying thoughts"
"That would be great Washu"
Ranma looks to Lacus and asks "Ms. Clyne, given what we know now, I believe it's best to delay our mission to Foundation after your wedding and honeymoon. Though I would prefer you not go there until next year after the child is born, if that's even possible" He looks to Washu and Sophia, and both give a slight nod of what Ranma has in mind.
Lacus however, was not sold to the idea of delaying their trip "We can't delay anymore, not with Colonel Michael amassing his forces in the buffer zone between Eurasia and Foundation and start another conflict"
"With all due respect, we will be allying with the very people who invade your dreams. To me, this guy, uhmn, excuse me for my foul language but 'He's a fu*ng rapist' coming into your home every night like he owns the place. Aura, tried to kill your mother before you have even been born" she pointed
"These people's intention towards you is mostly unknown, but it is clear, that they want you because you are an Accord"
"But" Ranma quickly cut her off
"Going there will be like handing you over to them on a silver platter, can we really say, who is the bigger threat here?"
Everyone went quiet, trying to process everything and Ranma continued
"Mr. Zala, knows more about the Kingdom of Foundation because he has eyewitness testimony on what's beyond that façade they show to the world"
"He's right" Athrun replied in agreement with Ranma "Walk around the outskirts of the city and you will see what they don't show. That place is nothing more than smoke and mirrors"
"There is more here that we don't know yet and I am not fond of walking into a trap as the next person" Ranma sat down thinking about something 'we need more information'
"Washu, how would you like to visit a former student of yours and say hell-o?" she asks mischievously
"Just two of us to say…hell-o" Washu asks surprised by the offer
"Yep!" Ranma sounded enthusiastic
Washu gave that smiling face that sent shivers down the spine of Sophia and Via backs for they know what that expression entails, pain. Kasumi knows what that looks on Washu face several times, and it doesn't bode well to people Washu dislikes, and Aura is currently number one on the list of people she disliked.
"Oh Ranma, I would be delighted to come with you and visit Aura and say hell-o" and then the two started cackling like villains with evil schemes in mind and for reasons unknown, everyone can see the two darken figures like a shadow and the only thing they can see is their glowing red eyes and horns growing.
"Ok, that's kinda creepy" Dearka muttered which everyone nods in agreement
"We are in a well-lit room and all I can see is black is shadow and glowing red eyes" Kira baffled
"S-should we be worried about this, Ms. Tendo and, what do they mean by saying hello?" Ezalia asks Kasumi who is shaking her head
"Not hello but hell-o, which I believe is a code word for hello to you and we have come to make your life a living hell. So, worried? Well yes" Kasumi remarked and sigh of dismay
"I really wish Ranma didn't have to involve sensei in whatever scheme he's planning" Via muttered and is in thought
"What's wrong sister?" Caridad asks
"Oh, I am just thinking if Mr. Iori has the Warren spaceship prep for launch, then we grab our kids and fly us far from here, preferably at the other end of the galaxy, far from the fireworks those two will light up" she said of course they took that as a jest with the situation they are in.
Well, Via wasn't joking and so was Sophia
"My sentiments exactly" Sophia added
A while later after the meeting
Inside Washu subspace Laboratory
Ranma is in one of Washu testing field which is the size of a continent which Washu added and where the climate and environment is similar to Ohkayama Japan, including a Lake and a house similar to that of the Masaki family home as well.
"I guess, this is a good a place as any" Ranma is wearing a shinobi costume, Blue-and-white, puff sleeve tunic with swans on the skirt and a sash that holds her wakizashi, thigh-high tabi, sandals with shinguards, hand guards with metal wristbands, and a choker.
'It's just like Kasumi, shinobi outfit' Ranma thought but it's not Kasumi Tendo that Ranma is referring to, but Princess Kasumi of the Mugen Tenshin clan and one of Genma Saotome victims of marriage arrangements scams in order to learn their martial arts and as always, steal anything value without them looking, which is one of the reason why we bail out quick when he stole several of the clans precious scrolls.
'Stupid ass pops!' angrily he thought

Like most of the fiancées chasing after him, Kasumi was no exception, and she came to Nerima to kill him and Genma, recover what was stolen before heading off to the Dead or Alive or DOA tournament. At least, that was the plan except that Ranma defeated her and found out why she tries to kill her (stupid Panda Baka fault again, as usual!) so to stop her from trying to kill him again, Ranma returned the stolen scrolls his father took and offered his assistance in the DOA tournament.
She however, declined Ranma went with her anyway despite the possibility of getting killed in one of the most dangerous bloodsports in the world.
Ranma however, found himself enjoying going up against the best of the best in the world and being the tournament wildcard, he wasn't exactly welcome by the tournament host and even tried to have him killed or expel him.
Luckily for him, chaos follows Ranma everywhere which brought down the DOA tournament to its knees along with the island it hosting.
After that, Kasumi and Ranma parted ways with a kiss, and she disappeared in a shower of cherry blossoms. Last he heard, she was still on the run as she is still regarded as a nukenin or a runaway shinobi, and that was 200 years ago.

"Reminiscing the past?" said by someone and it was Kasumi Tendo and she's seeing Ranma putting on the Megen Tenshin princess kunoichi costume.
"Thought I could work out here wearing this. She wore something like this"
"Every dress you were is always looks good on you" Kasumi complemented
"Thanks, this is the only thing I have to remember her by" Ranma started her kata and it's an Anything Goes version of the Mugen Tenshin clan martial arts, something Mugen Tenshin princess taught Ranma in their brief time together and Ranma made improvements to the art.
After her kata, Ranma took a seat under an umbrella and a table of refreshments where Kasumi brought it out and was watching and waiting for Ranma to finish and asks her something
"Ranma, can I ask a question"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Were you really in love with Lacus?" she asks, and Ranma suddenly stops her and slowly turn towards her
"Why do you ask me that?" Ranma asks her as she's surprised being asks of that
"Well…in all the years that I have known you, there is only one time I know, that you would drop everything except for that day when your mother called you in for a family emergency. That day, where you essentially chase after another girl, and that one really tried to kill you just to take back what your father stole end her engagement to you. You defeated her, told her story as to why and then let her go and off she went, then you followed her despite Akane protest" Kasumi detailed
"Now, two hundred years later, I found out that you volunteered to be a member of COMPASS…is there a reason in joining because from what I heard, you have no faith in COMPASS whatsoever. What changed?"

Ranma knows that Kasumi has a sharp mind even from back in Nerima and that she is not some delicate flower just because she does most of the housework. Ranma found it admirable that she gave up her dream to be a doctor, just to keep the Tendo house from falling apart and with Nabiki helping with the house finances with her betting pools and other means to make a buck during school.
It took Ranma a while for him to realize how much the two sisters kept the Tendo from being kicked out of their home and being there with his pops didn't help matters much. Feeling guilty about it, Ranma went to his mother in Juban to ask for help. Help Kasumi and Nabiki to realize their dreams, of Kasumi becoming a doctor, the Nabiki get into the best college in Japan to learn business and commerce.
Nodoka Saotome, who is Ranma is a woman who is quite loaded with money despite her eccentricity of her old fashion appearance, she is by far, one of the wealthiest women in the world unbeknownst to his idiot husband, so supporting Kasumi and Nabiki is not a problem for, in fact, she welcomed it after hearing Ranma explanation as to why he wants to send the two sisters to college.
They kept this a secret from the two freeloading fathers, but circumstances forced them to make some changes to the plans (namely Ranma supposed death) Nodoka would follow thru, for Ranma sake, she will put the two sisters to college anyway, but when the two sisters decided to go snooping one day to find out how Ranma died, and it was a journey of discovery and a gateway to the galaxy if they so ask it.
The two sisters told their father that they will be with Ranma grieving mother in Juban for a while, which is true. Soun would have objected in fear of Akane cooking and she doesn't want to come with them, believing that Ranma is faking his death and he's somewhere with one of his floozy fiancée's.
When Kasumi and Nabiki eventually returned home, they announced that they decided to stay in Juban full time, and with Nodoka blessing, they will attend university college which Ranma mother will pay all expenses right after Akane graduated from highschool.
Another surprise is, Nodoka will be adopting the two sisters but will keep the family name. the surprise did not end there as Nodoka declared that the name Genma Saotome is stricken from the family tree, right after she divorced him. This reverted Genma family name back to Genma Rokubungi and forbade him to use the Saotome name ever. Genma protested and Soun as his friend to back him up. However, having a sword so close to their throat and an army of police SWAT surrounding them, they changed their minds.
Now without Kasumi and Nabiki present, Soun Tendo problems come into light as he's been reliant on Kasumi and Nabiki from keeping the house from falling apart and though Akane do help from time to time, she was not all that good, especially in cooking…ah well. Now with two sisters gone, Soun and Genma had to find a way earn some money and there are two ways to do that, one is to get a real job which they won't do because they don't have any other skills, the other is to open the schools to the public and accept students who wants to learn their martial arts, which is difficult to get anyone enthusiastic about martial arts, especially if you are not a government supported institution, which is what they were after all along.
Ranma knew all along, that Genma and Soun dream to unite two schools was a plan to scam the government of financial support by declaring Anything Goes Martial Arts as a national treasure, and to do that, they needs several criteria to pass, one of which is the age of the school from the day it was founded to present, and it needs to be centuries old or several generations. With Ranma death, their plans fell apart and the idea of marrying of one the girls to a rich family went nowhere when Kasumi and Nabiki is under Nodoka protection which left only Akane and one particular rich family in Nerima wants Akane and that's the Kuno.
To say Akane wasn't happy about it was an understatement, so she beat the crap out of them with mallet and multiple heavy objects smashed on them.
Genma would later flee the Tendo house and was never to be found when police came to arrest him. The reason, his desperation due to financial difficulties (meaning he's flat broke) so break into Nodoka home and tried to force her to take him back one night.
Fortunately, Kasumi and Nabiki were there and beat back Genma which surprised him that the sister knows martial arts and at a level higher than him.
A day later, an arrest warrant was issued and as always, when the police came knocking on the Tendo house looking for him. The last record of him was when Elder Cologne locking his panda curse and that he was sold to a Zoo in San Diego by Akane, in order to pay the bills, the cost of repairs to the house and for her college tuition.
Kasumi and Nabiki would have gladly given her the money to pay for it, but her pride got in the way and Nodoka wants nothing to do with her, after Akane made abhorrent remarks about his son during one prayer vigil Nodoka is having for his son. It offended her and couldn't forgive her disrespect and Kasumi and Nabiki agreed, Akane went too far.
This was the last time the sisters would see each other.
Nerima fell silent when every martial artist left the district and eventually, the Tendo school of Martial Arts faded into the background. Noise of society

"Kasumi, do you remember the day we first meet, on the day, me and my dad arrived and your father introduces us to you three sisters and asks me to choose anyone I want but…you and Nabiki pushed Akane forward to be my fiancée?"
"Yes, I remember that" her voice has a touch of guilt in it. The awkward introduction in the bathroom was hilarious but it painted Ranma as pervert in Akane eyes.
"We shouldn't have done that to you and Akane, I'm so sorry Ranma"
"What's done is done. I never wanted to make a choice among you anyway because it felt it wrong, wrong on choosing from the three of you without even considering your feelings about it, but if had to choose one…I would have chosen you"
"Oh my, surely you jest" Kasumi blushed at Ranma confession and covering her face in embarrassment as Ranma sat down beside her and hold her hand to let Kasumi see Ranma smiling
"Thinking about those times Kasumi, I would choose you because…well, you embody so many of the great things the women and girls I've known in my life"
"What? Did you just say women, and how many?"
"This, was before I meet you and well, you could say that…I do have…experience with…girls… and women 'ahem' since my junior high days"
"Reallllly? Wow I did not know that" Kasumi said one of her brows was twitching and then she remembers something
"Junior High? In Tomoeda, same as your cousin Touya, Touya Kinomoto"
"Same place, same school as Ryoga went to junior high as well, my time there was cut short, but it was delightfully memorable"
"Short but delightfully memorable?" Kasumi look at him surprise "Why are you telling me this?"
"I need to get things out and come clean with you because you deserve to know, who you are saddling on"
"You are confessing?"
"In a way," Ranma stood up as she continues "back then I was a kid of fourteen… and in love with a woman which was my first love. She was also my homeroom teacher and well," she's thinking back slightly swing back and forth most likely thinking about the past that made her blush red at such fond memories and then she stated
"I don't know how but, I got to third base with her…and she was a married woman during that time"
"Third base, with a married woman!?" Kasumi grew a tick in her forehead at such a scandalous act.
"Wow Ranma, you had an affair with your homeroom teacher who is a married woman and without anyone even knowing about it, least of all you got to third base with her. I am impressed" Ranma sweatdropped in Kasumi sarcastic reaction while smiling
"Oh God, she's going to kill me'
"Hey! Hey! We ended our affair before anyone else found out and I didn't want Shuko to get into trouble because of me, and God Almighty! It was painful to part ways with her, but it had to be done, for her sake and mine!"
'Shuko, could Ranma mean that woman?' "Ranma, who is Shuko?" Kasumi inquired
"Shuko, Shuko Suzuhara, she was my homeroom teacher…and she was my first love" he answered honestly
"Of course, your first love" Kasumi smiled but it wasn't a smile of promised pain but something else. An understanding, for like Ranma, she had a first love, but it went nowhere.
"I haven't heard any news of her, before I went to a coma, I asked Touya in my Astral form to check up on her when he visits Tomoeda from time to time. Touya told me that Shuko move on to Wakayama with her daughter, two years after I left with pops for China"
"I see"
"And that's where I learned my lesson" Ranma remark
"What lesson?"
"Be careful who you I fall in love with," Ranma thinking about Lacus
"Yes, I fell in love with Lacus, and yes, I wanted to see her in person and now I've seen her, work with her, know her and the people around her including the man she loves, and that's Kira, it was then, that I said to myself… stop, it's time to stop and walk away" Ranma confessed
"Ranma"
"This isn't new to me Kasumi; I fell in love with the girls I like but they love someone else, so I take a step back. Pretty much getting used to it" Ranma shrugs
Ranma remembers some of the more memorable ones in his life This seems to be a running theme for me, from Shuko, Madoka, Michiru, Belldandy, Hikaru and lastly Kasumi my Mugen princess'
I know how to take a bow, not like Orphee Lam Tao, he is an intruder trying to insert himself into Lacus life" he said "Guys like that will hurt Lacus and everyone around her, and it's my job now to keep her safe and beat some sense into that asshole, one way or another"
Kasumi heaves a sigh "you always think of others than yourself"
"And you know that it always ends badly for me and other people when I think only of my own self-interest which…it usually does!" Ranma exclaim
Kasumi agrees "Letting her go, it was the right choice"
"It's also painful. Takes a while to ease the pain and I never get used to it" Ranma remark
"And you Kasumi, you are amazing" Ranna said praising
"Ranma?"
"You and Nabiki have done well for yourselves and then some. However, I was surprised that you became Washu apprentice, you are practically like a daughter to her and Nabiki joining Galaxy Police, that's a first I heard of it" Ranma remark in surprise by that news.
"Do they know what they are getting themselves into when they recruited Nerima's infamous Ice Queen?" Ranma question but humorously
"Ranma, Nabiki is not going to use the GXP for her money-making schemes…. well, maybe" she said unsure at the end
"I didn't even know she join GXP, until Washu was trying to blackmail me with Nabiki stash of photos me…which is strange because I clearly remember that I destroyed all of that stuff days before I disappeared!" Ranma annoyed at that
Kasumi giggled a little "You should know that Nabiki always keeps a backup file in case you destroyed her original stash"
That made Ranma realize something "Of course, backup files, everybody keeps…everybody has back up files put away for emergency?" he muttered the last sentence with a realization 'I can't believe that we never considered that!'
Ranma shake her head "We always have a backup plan!" he exclaimed and look back to Kasumi
"Kasumi, what's are the chances, that Durandal has a backup plan squirreled away somewhere, should he fail implementing Destiny Plan the first time?"
Kasumi knows Durandal character during her time studying under Washu when she taught eugenics years ago among the brightest of students and one thing that she knows about Durandal is,
"Yes, Durandal always have a backup on everything" She answered
"So, there is more than likely, that another quantum supercomputer with the Destiny Plan in it, is out there somewhere, waiting"
"Implementing it requires an enormous amount resource. Durandal has that during his tenure as the Plants chairman" Kasumi surmise
"It's more than likely, that sympathizers to Durandal cause is working with Aura in secret…it has to be someone in a position of power to support them should they make their move, and I can only think of one person who can give them that kind of support"
Kasumi has an idea who Ranma is talking about "You are not thinking about the chairman of national defense are you, Hari Jagannath?" she guesses as the man is antagonistic towards Ranma since day one.
"Ranma, I know you have issues with him," Ranma quickly cut her off as she explains
"Zaft takes orders from him, he control Zaft budget, can acquire resources and divert manpower with no oversight, and he has a strong opposition of me joining COMPASS since day one. I can bet you good money, that he's convincing others to be on his side when Aura make a move"
"Would they really support him and Aura and risk another war?" she was doubtful
"Kasumi, look what's been happening for a month and a half now" Ranma pointed out
"They just found out, that the Earth Alliance Forces has advance technology that surpass their own, we help Coordinator's restore their ability to reproduce but the next generation will be no different to Natural born children and that's not gonna go down well with many purists living here and soon enough, they will find out that the NEW seventh fleet is capable of faster than light travel and that we already have offworld colonies in operation. So yeah, they won't like what they will see, and they will be more than willing to go along with him just to defend themselves against the Alliance"
Kasumi nods in agreement "That is a problem"
"We need to confirm it though, so I will ask the Master Chief to do a recon and (spider sense is tingling) …ah crap!" Ranma curse
"Ranma, what is it?"
"Excuse me for a moment" Ranma disappears in a shower of cherry blossom petals
Hiding behind a doorway stood Lacus watching and listening to their conversation, when Lacus got into Washu laboratory which is supposed to be intruder proof and only authorized individual can enter and if one tried to, you get evicted by being teleported a hundred feet above the air, five miles away above an artificial sea where you will be drop totally naked.
Ever since they took residence, several attempts to spy on Washu were stopped this way. The Spartans knew the individuals who were spying and ingeniously herded them to enter Washu lab while still guarding the rest of the residence and making sure they don't place any listening devices which is useless due to the anti-surveillance field.
How Lacus got in, the doorway let her in because, like Mihoshi, she is after all, Washu grandchild. Now when she entered the lab, Lacus called out "Hello" and a computer voice interface system responded to her, inquiring her intention and Lacus responded, asking where Major Saotome is located and immediately the computer pointed her to where Ranma was with lights on the floor and neon arrows appearing out of nowhere.
She arrived just as Ranma was confessing to Kasumi about Ranma having an affair with a married woman who is his homeroom teacher in middle school which was shocking as much as scandalous as Ranma admitted that he's in love with Lacus and that made her heart skip and her face blush red and then he shatters it when Ranma is ending pursuit, that he will stop himself from falling in love with her.
After going thru a roller coaster of emotions, Lacus was in her own world when she was surprised when a hand was placed on her shoulder and waking her up from her dreamworld
"Lacus?"
"Ranma!" her heart jumps in surprise when someone sneak behind her
"You do know it's rather rude eavesdropping on other people conversations, right?"
"I'm sorry" she apologizes as Ranma shook his head
"You have a knack for getting close to me unnoticed, like ninja" Ranma remark "come one, you might as well hear what I have to say"
"W-what?" Ranma took her hand and led her in
Lacus look uncomfortable sitting under a patio table in a place with a house and a private lake. It looks and feels like they are outdoors on Earth.
"Lacus" Ranma called attention
"Y-yes?"
"How much did you hear?" Ranma asks her calmly
"Uhmn, when you said you had an affair with a married woman in middle school, and that you are stopping yourself from falling in love with me, after that…I was in a daze"
"I see" Ranma then look down to her face to face
"Let me asks you this Lacus, are you in love with me?" Lacus went wide eyes in asking her that and in front of his fiancé Kasumi of all things and her thoughts were racing to answer him
I-I like you, but I can't say that I'm in love with you. Though, I do owe my life to you for saving me several times. I guess…y-you are a remarkable person that I admire you alot"
It was then that Ranma leaned down some more closer to Lacus and Lacus she can see how really cute Ranma girl form is, her deep blue eyes (and it's glowing with ki), luscious red lips and a pearl complexion with no trace of makeup at all, and that radiates her natural beauty, and the scent of perfume was intoxicating, plus what she's wearing, that scandalous outfit…she finds her quite attractive that it's making her blush and try not to look down on her cleavage which are quite large…
'WHY ON EARTH WOULD I BE LOOKING DOWN ON HER CLEAVEGE OF ALL THINGS?!'
"Now, Lacus are you sure that you are not attracted to me?" Ranma quite seductively asks and a mini Lacus in her head screaming at her thoughts mentally slapping her from her stupor
'Snap out of it Lacus! Get a hold of yourself, you have Kira, and you are pregnant with his child, and we don't swing… that… way. But then, I can see why men drool all over in just seeing her female form… Oh God! I want to jump on her! COME TO MAMA!' screamed her inner self that tried dissuade her but failed and that's where she snaps out of her trance
"YES, YES! I am sure" she answered almost yelling and that made Ranma choice easier
"Good" Ranma was satisfied "To be honest, my feeling to you is…more like having a crush on you, which makes it easier for me to let go"
"Let go?"
"I can't fall in love with you Lacus, and I won't go chasing a romantic relationship with you that could otherwise hurt you and Kira" Ranma said with brutal honesty
"Yes…that would be bad" she admitted
"So…friends, just friends?"
"Yes, just friends" she agreed but with a bit of pain in her heart
Afterwards, Ranma went back practicing her Mugen Tenshin style martial arts (Anything Goes version) that he learns from Princess Kasumi and Kasumi Tendo and Lacus watch her go thru the routine which is amazing because…
"How is she able to move above water like that?" Lacus asks
"She's sending her ki to her feet and transferred it to the water and…honestly, I don't know how he does it, but it's making the water solid as the floor we stand on"
"That is amazing" Lacus remark and then she sees Ranma disappears in a shower of petals and reappears back at the dock
"Is that teleportation?"
"In a way, it's a ninja skill only the Mugen Tenshin practitioner is capable of doing though why there's a shower of petals after she disappears is beyond me" Kasumi answered
Afterwards, the three of them talk about what could probably be a problem, the possibility that Durandal has a backup server for Destiny Plan hidden somewhere which points to supporters in Zaft and a possible cooperation with Foundation and this made Lacus disconcerting.
"You are suspecting Hari Jagannath is conspiring with Foundation to restart Destiny Plan?"
"Of all the members of the Plants Council, he's the most likely suspect, and the only one who has access to the resources Aura needs to force the world into submission"
"Ranma, you can't accuse a member of the Plants Supreme Council of collusion with the Kingdom of Foundation without evidence" Lacus told her
"I know this is a bit of a conspiracy theory, but the man is in a position of power to start a coup and take control of the Plants with forces in Zaft that could be loyal to him"
"He won't do that. The people won't forgive him… unless he could justify it" Lacus mind raced to think of what could give the man a good excuse. It was the same for Ranma
"And I can bet you good money, the excuse will have to be something tragic, destructive and will give him justification to retaliate"
"So, what do we do Ranma?" Lacus asks
"We need evidence to prove that he really is dirty and expose others conspiring with him"
"I think I know someone who can help us investigate in the background" Lacus offered
"That would be most appreciated, so that we can focus our attention on Foundation and Michael"
Ranma suddenly felt a sensation, "I think I'll get a better wardrobe now; I'm feeling the change back to my male form is coming" and with a shower of Sakura blossom, Ranma disappears.
In one of the rooms, Ranma remove her outfit just in time for the change back to the male form and sit at the side of the bed as he put on his shirt and heaves a sigh of relief and a bit of sadness
'You did the right thing Ranma' said the gentle female voice of Tsunami
'Still, breaking this doesn't get any easier' he sighs 'this made me remember so many of them in my life"
"Quite a row of lovely young ladies I might add, most of them are your fiancées" Tsunami remark 'you really do know how to pick them' Tsunami giggled
"Not all of them, I seem to be quite lucky getting engage to a number of lovely women, present company included of course"
"Oh, you are such a flatterer!" Tsunami replied playfully
"Honestly, I have been worrying about them ever since I left Earth 200 years ago, and when I heard Kasumi and Nabiki life turn out that they are doing fine, I felt relieved to know that they followed their dreams, and no one told me about them heading towards the wider galaxy"
Ranma smiled "Kasumi became a doctor and then Washu student learning more advance science and Nabiki joining GP, I never felt so proud of them, living their lives the way they wanted, but the rest,'
"So, you've asked Touya to look in on the others" Tsunami adds
Ranma nodded "I know Shuko lived peacefully with her daughter in Wakayama and princess Kasumi well, she is hard to track down since she's a ninja and the others… I wish I knew, and I hope they are safe and lived a full and peaceful life"
"So many lovely ladies with charm, grace, kindness and understanding, not like that last girl who has the grace of a Bull in a China shop and the understanding of a toad" Tsunami critique the last person Ranma knows who she is talking about
"There are some good points about her Tsunami" Ranma defended but Tsunami heaves a sigh as she says otherwise
"You would always defend her, I understand that but I find her character boorish, especially when she continuously accusing you of perversion which is not true and though you have your own faults and failings, it does not give her the reason or excuse to commit violence upon you, and never once have you struck her back, for you are anything but a true gentleman…so much like Tenchi"
In the realm of Ouritsuju, Tsunami looks down on the viewing waters and can't help but compare Ranma to Tenchi "All of those women, they see something great, something special about you, and that Akane cannot see it because of her hatred towards boys as a whole. Though we can blame the environment she grew up, and how she was nurtured, and though she has started to show feelings for you eventually but…could we really say those are the feelings of growing affections to you or is she being possessive?"
"Possessive, what do you mean Tsunami?"
Tsunami shows mental images of Akane hitting, punching, slapping, bashing and throwing things at Ranma and this irate Tsunami to no end
"Ranma, she continues to hit you for the flimsiest of reasons and wrong conclusion. She accuses you of flirting towards other girls who are simply just talking to you, even those who were innocently asking for directions because they got lost. Seeing this, her first act is committing violence towards you and any form of affection you show her, she believes it has ulterior motives in mind"
Ranma, those are the acts of a troubled girl. A troubled, possessive, insecure, abusive with an inferiority complex, and who seem relish in the pleasure of hitting you, and you know it's true," said Tsunami
"All the women in your life have admirable traits. I saw none of those in her and she could not see what a good man you truly are"

Several times Ranma, Genma and Soun ended up hospitalized for a month due to food poisoning. She made the effort to make hot water, but other than that nothing else was made by her, well nothing edible

Via was troubled "Washu, I am not sure that bringing Kira and Cagalli to Tabletop and seeing their father is a good idea, especially Kira," Washu wants none of it as she interrupts her
