Chapter 3

Reishin Amara- Not an Elf as you will learn later.

Dragon lord Syed 101- I can see the appeal for that.

MarauderPrime12- Not an Elf as you'll find out in the next two chapters.

edboy4926- I could do that, but I think the history about the Banished would be more than sufficient to tell people about the insanity that was the Halo universe.

I'm not sure Chief would allow Slipspace technology to be given to the Earth Federation so easily. Even if he was, its so advanced technology that it'll be lifetimes before Humanity in Gundam can achieve Space Flight. He might help with dealing with the corruption in the Earth Federation though.

Austin- I'm not using the Banished stranded on the Ark. Yet. And I don't know if I should do the Flood or not because that's opening a can of worms I don't think is worth opening up unless its like a final villain or something.

Also, Voridus (The Brute that unleashed the Flood on the Ark) is still alive along with his brother, Pavium. In fact, they're the reason that Atriox is back in the Milky Way galaxy from the Ark in the first place.

Jetslinger333- Oh no. They won't have access to UNSC technology, yet and I don't think the Pelican had a slipspace drive. If it did, why didn't Fernando use it to escape from the very beginning? That would be an interesting plot point though. Chief learns they have UNSC technology and are trying to decipher its secrets, meaning he has to stop them before it's too late.

Robo Reader 21- The Banished will be a main enemy in this fic, though whether they go for the Jupiter fleet or Side 3 first is something I'm holding on for now.

RedRat8- And I never intended to insult you mate. No need to get defensive over it. Also, yes, the woman is a canon character, but she isn't from Halo or in Gundam UC. Here's a hint, she's from a children's cartoon and I had to put her in because of a bet.

TheJSmooth- Maybe. I don't know if canon UC allows me to do so, though. Granted, I could make up a scenario. That would be cool though.

Zeon Officer

"What the hell is going on?" Demanded the Zeon officer in charge of the entire base as several squads surrounded the main building of the base, where both the main communications equipment for the base was along with their prisoners. He was in the middle of making a report to high command concerning their findings when he was informed by a solder of a situation on the base. When he arrived, he found the situation before him.

Grabbing the highest-ranking officer around the building, a sergeant, the Zeon officer demanded to know what was going on.

"Captain Kahn, an unknown hostile in green armor managed to breach the command center by itself. We sent a squad to take it down, but we lost contact with them." Said the sergeant as he looked towards the building. "We're preparing to storm the building now." Kahn just scowled at that as he knew what the unknown hostile was. It was that green armored machine they found earlier. Somehow it woke up and was now wreaking havoc in his base, which was the exact opposite of what they needed right now.

This military base had no Mobile Suits of its own that can deal with that machine, nor did they have any Magella attack tanks. All they had were a few Dopp Fighters and several recon airships. Nothing really adequate to deal with this machine. As Kahn thought about what to do with the limited resources he had, a shout came from one of the soldiers aiming their guns at the building followed by gunfire. Looking to the source, he saw all the soldiers firing blindly at the main entrance of the command center. Seeing the undisciplined nature of his soldiers firing into the building, Kahn tried to restore discipline to no avail. Eventually, they all ran out of ammo, which did the trick of restoring discipline. Once the smoke that came from the gunfire faded away, the Zeon soldiers saw that they had only shot at a bunch of empty containers that were pushed towards them via a cart.

As the Zeon soldiers were figuring out what to make of this, a glass window from the command center's upper floors broke and, through it, came forth the green armored machine. As everyone was looking at the machine in shock, it tossed a grenade into one group of soldiers and the slaughter began.

As the tossed grenade went off, taking out the entire group of soldiers, the machine man fired its assault rifle at another group, expertly firing one bullet at a time as one bullet was all that was needed in order to kill a single Zeon soldier. After finishing off its sixth man, the machine focused on another group of soldiers. By this time, the Zeon soldiers got rid of their shock and fired upon the machine, hoping to bring it down. Unfortunately, to their shock, a field of yellow enveloped the machine as their rounds hit it. Like a protective blanket, the yellow field deflected their rounds, protecting the machine. After dealing with another group, the machine focused on the last group, which contained Captain Kahn, and fired at them. While his soldiers fired at the machine, hoping to kill it, Kahn took cover behind a jeep. The screams of his soldiers as their shots did nothing but hit the yellow field caused Kahn to grit his teeth. His men were dying and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Men that fought for Zeon's independence were given an easy assignment by being assigned to this base, only to die at the hands of an unidentified monster that they found near the perimeter. Well, if they were all going to die, then the least that Kahn can do is bring it down with them.

Pulling out a grenade, Kahn readied himself as the machine monster finished off the last of his soldiers. As it approached where he was, Kahn got out of his cover and tossed the grenade at the machine monster, the pin gone. Seeing the stick grenade coming at him, Master Chief grabbed the grenade before tossing it back to Kahn. The Zeon officer was in shock at seeing the grenade caught so quickly that he didn't have time to react to the grenade hitting his forehead, sending him to the ground, dazed. As he came to, he noticed the grenade next to him and tried to get away from it, but it was too late. The grenade exploded, killing Kahn.

With the last of the soldiers gone, Chief looked around for any more hostiles. Seeing none in his immediate vicinity, Chief went towards the hanger bays. After finding them and seeing the one destinated as Hanger two, Chief went there. Walking towards the hanger doors, Chief forced them open and saw the Pelican, still in one piece, and a bunch of UNSC crates and weapons all around it. The occupants of this base must have kept most of the equipment in this hanger for one reason or another. Seeing tools around some weapons and equipment, he guessed they tried to examine them here. A stroke of fortune for him, really as they can use all the equipment they can get. Marching towards the Pelican, Chief spoke to Joy and asked her if it was operational.

"One moment, Chief." Said Joy as she accessed the Pelican's systems remotely. "Hmm…a few rough spots here and there, but it's still flyable. I just need to be uploaded to the pelican's systems and I can get it working. You should do it now. I should have it ready to go by the time you and Fernando arrived with that woman."

"Understood." Said Master Chief before going inside the Pelican and inserting Joy into its systems via the cockpit.

"Oh, so this is what it feels like to be in a ship." Said Joy as her chip was inserted into the Pelican's. "Feels roomier here than in your suit. No offense." Chief took no offense at that and began to leave the hanger to get Fernando. Once he was gone, Joy went to work on repairing the Pelican and having it flyable for them. As Chief left, he noticed the other hangers and realized they may contain fighters that the survivors of the base may use to pursue them. Deciding to take them out of commission to make things easier for them, Chief went inside the hangers to destroy the fighters. Upon entering, he saw the fighters and was immediately perplexed by them.

Few minutes later
Fernando

"Okay, that should do it." Said Fernando as he finished patching up the woman. After finding a med kit, Fernando went to work on patching up the woman. After disinfecting her wounds, he applied bandages to the cuts and applied medical ointment to the bruises before covering them up with bandages as well. Sighing, he looked at the woman, still unconscious, and wondered what the heck she was. She looked like an Elf with those ears, but he never heard of an Elf-like race in existence back home. All the aliens' mankind ever faced were radically different from humans. Very different. As he was wondering, Master Chief arrived at the prison cell and told Fernando that the path was clear.

"Everything is all set. Joy is fixing the Pelican right now." Said Master Chief before going over to the woman and holding her bridal style. "There haven't been any hostiles on my way here, but keep an eye out. There may still be a few more soldiers out there." Fernando just nodded at that before following Chief out of the room and eventually the building. To their luck, they made it to the hanger without any issue and upon arriving to the Pelican, Fernando went to the pilot seat while Chief reinserted Joy back into his armor after setting the woman down comfortably on one of the Pelican's seats. After telling Fernando that he needed to bring back most of the UNSC crates and weapons back onboard, Joy spoke up.

"Oh, I rather enjoyed my time in the Pelican. Oh well." Said Joy with a slight pout before changing the subject. "So, this refugee camp. I've uploaded the location of it based on that soldier's directions. Hopefully, those refugees won't mind having us there. Right?" Chief didn't say anything as he walked out of the Pelican. Just before he got out, he overheard the woman saying something from her seat. Most of it was gibberish, but a few things he could understand. One of them was a name. Edalyn.

Later

Refugee Camp

"I think I found it Chief." Said Fernando as he flew the Pelican, in his sights was a large camp filled with people. "Should we land here?" Walking towards the cockpit, Chief could see the camp and saw just how run down it was. Metal sacks and tents were everywhere surrounding a church in the middle of the camp. Seeing all this, Chief saw that it must have been the refugee camp that the soldier spoke about. After some contemplation, Chief ordered Fernando to land near the camp. Once he did, Chief opened the bay doors of the Pelican and jumped out once the Pelican landed. Once he did, he saw people congregating towards the Pelican. Some were in awe of the ship, but others were nervous upon seeing such a massive ship land near their camp. Eventually, a few of them walked over to the massive green armored soldier that was Master Chief and spoke.

"Uh…what brings you to this camp?" Asked one of the men that walked towards Chief nervously, intimidated by Chief's height and armor. Looking at the man that spoke with his golden visor, Chief spoke up.

"I have a wounded individual with me. She needs proper medical treatment." Said Master Chief. "We also need food and water. If you can provide that for us, we're willing to provide you with something in return within reason. Just name it." Upon hearing that, the men looked at each other before speaking.

"This woman with the Earth Federation or Zeon?" Asked one of the men. Upon hearing that, Chief just shook his head. "Alright, we'll treat her, but you have to do us a favor first. You got to hide that ship of yours from plain sight. The Zeons come here every now and then to inspect us because of how close we are to their base. So, if you would hide it them…" Upon hearing that, Chief nodded.

"Understood." Said Chief as he radioed Fernando and told him to find a place to hide the Pelican after he took the woman to a doctor. After getting inside the Pelican and picking up the woman, Chief watched Fernando take off with the Pelican to find a safe spot for it. Once the Pelican was out of sight, Chief looked at the gathered crowd and spoke up.

"This woman needs proper medical attention, do you have a trained doctor here?" Asked Chief as he held the woman bridal style. The refugees just looked at each other before one of them directed him to their only doctor.

Later

Master Chief

"I must admit, I've never seen a human being this healthy before." Said the doctor, a doctor Stone, as he treated the woman given to him by the Master Chief. "Knife-shaped ears and pale skin. You think she's an Elf, but such things are not possible, yes? She's extraordinary. If only I could ask her some medical questions when she wakes up, I think she won't like me asking such questions. Far too personal, I imagine." Master Chief just stayed silent as he watched the doctor work. As he did so, various refugees were looking at him in awe and fright, mainly because he was armed and how massive he was. Master Chief ignored all this while Joy was communicating with Fernando, who had just hidden the Pelican and was on his way back to the refugee camp. As the doctor worked on the woman, he spoke to Chief.

"So, are you with the Earth Federation or the Principality of Zeon?" Asked Stone, trying to start a conversation with the Master Chief. Upon laying his eyes on the Master Chief, Stone was shocked at the man's size and armor. Even more so when he just gave him a wounded woman and told him to patch her up. "Because that armor doesn't look like anything from either faction."

"Neither." Said Master Chief as he looked at the man's work. "I don't even know what those two factions are." Upon hearing that, Stone stopped working for a minute, and frowned, before going back to work.

"Are you joking with me, sir?" Asked Stone. "The Earth Federation is the premier government for all of humanity. It's the top dog in the Earth Sphere. And the Principality of Zeon is the rogue government that opposes them. They're the ones responsible for the war going on right now. How can you not know about either of them?" Master Chief just looked at Stone before speaking.

"I'm not from here." Said Chief simple, causing Stone to stop and look at him in shock. Before Stone can comment, Chief continued. "Focus on the woman. After you've finished treating her, we'll talk more about me. But not before." Stone just sighed at that before nodding, realizing the woman still needed him. As he worked, Stone looked at the Master Chief and couldn't help but be fascinated with him, wondering what he meant by that he wasn't from here.
