Chapter 7

Okay, so far the reviews are saying no to Primal with the exception of one. The poll will still be up for three more chapters including this one, so please vote there to decide if Primal should be added or not, even though it's likely that it won't be.

Austin- I don't know about doing a Primal story myself, but I'll see what I can do.

R reyes- I have no idea what you're saying in the middle and end, but thanks for clarifying what you meant by your past reviews.

Robo Reader 21- I personally think Minovsky Particles won't do much, if at all, to Halo technology, even UNSC technology because, like you said, it's literally centuries ahead of anything UC Gundam has at its disposal at the moment. Maybe a bit impactful to shields, but the shields in Halo can be improved to ignore it once people figure out what Minovsky particles are and then finetune them to minimize, if not outright eliminate, the impact they have on energy shielding.

Lilith is apparently in her late forties when Owl House started, so I'm guessing she's at most forty-seven. So I think she works?

That's why the poll is there. I figured most people wouldn't want Primal in any way, but I figured I will be fair and have a poll in place to see if I'm wrong and if people actually want it.

Spooks- I honestly believe the people that don't want Primal here will also not want Gargoyles as well. But I don't know.

7/30- Update due to criticism.

Lilith

"This isn't so bad." Thought Lilith as she conversed with the crew of the ship she was on, which she learned was called the White Base. An odd name, but perhaps it was a human thing. Speaking of humans, Lilith was conversing with some rather young ones. Children, surprising Lilith and Fernando as this was supposed to be a military vessel. Why were children here? Regardless, it was clear to the crew that they weren't hostile and began to intermingle with both Fernando and Lilith. Master Chief, however, was currently showing combat recordings of his fights against the Zeons with Bright Noa after the man recovered from his stare-down with Master Chief. No doubt after that, they'll negotiate with each other about them staying on the White Base along with conditions and whatnot. Honestly, she should be there, but Master Chief, whom she learned was the title of the green armored warrior, told her to stay with Fernando, the human with a beard, and converse with the crew of this ship.

He said that he can handle himself and that they are needed here. To help calm down the crew of this ship and make them see that they weren't a threat to them at all. That, at least, was what Fernando said. He claimed that, since the crew was mostly children, they were easily frightened when facing things they don't know of or know about. Thus, it's their job to try and make them see that they're not enemies or something to be feared. Besides, since they were planning on staying on this ship, they may as well make friends with the crew of the ship. Right?

She saw the logic in his argument and thus helped Fernando in improving relations with the crew of the White Base. Though she wasn't bristling with experience when it came to making good first impressions with people, it was only recently that she could claim to have such experience, she made remarkable progress in doing so with the crew of the White Base. Particularly, she was becoming on friendly terms with a short boy by the name of Hayato Kobayashi. He was the first of his crew to approach them, the rest being a bit scared of them because of their affiliation with Master Chief, who stared down and scared Bright, their leader. It was because of this, along with past experiences with people outside of their crew, that many of them were reluctant to interact with Lilith and Fernando, despite Chief not being there and them being much easier to interact with. Hayato, seeing how unresponsive his fellow crew were to Lilith and Fernando, despite them trying to open up to them, decided to open up to them. He didn't like how scared the rest of the crew was in interacting with the none scary elements of the people that Amuro brought with him, so he decided to be brave and show them that these people were genuine in their stated intentions and thus spoke with both Lilith and Fernando. It also gave him an opportunity to show them off with his bravery and that he was braver than the others by doing this. Upon, seeing Hayato speaking with them, and having a pleasant time from the looks of it, more and more of the White Base crew was joining in on conversing with Fernando and Lilith.

That was all a few minutes ago and the White Base crew grew comfortable being around them, seeing that they weren't a threat to them, to the point that they were comfortable having kids around them. Truth be told, they didn't initially plan to have kids around them, but three little children came barging into the hanger where Lilith and Fernando were along with a young girl in a pink uniform barging in after them. Apparently, they wanted to know what the fuss was going on in the hanger and ran towards the hanger to see what was going on. Initially, the girl that came for them was fearful for the children's safety when they barged into the hanger bay and saw the big airship in it along with its crew, but that soon passed when the kids saw Lilith and began interacting with her excitedly and Lilith did nothing but smile nervously at the children as they were fascinated with her. The reason they were fascinated with her and not Fernando was because of her indigo hair and her pointy ears, both things that they haven't seen before on a human being. Thus, they were fascinated with her.

"Why do you have pointy ears, lady?" Asked the only girl amongst the three kids that were all over Lilith as she tried to stay calm and answer their questions while everyone else was gathered around her.

"Well…" Started Lilith, unsure if she should tell them the truth or not. She had no idea how they would react if she told them that she was a Witch, the name of her people. From what Luz Noceda, one of the only humans that she held interactions with, humans thought of Witches as evil and only females for some reason. There were a few stories that depicted Witches as good, but generally, they were depicted as evil beings and the villain of stories. Thus, she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to tell them what she really was. Fearful of the potential danger to her life, Lilith was about to tell her a lie when Fernando gave her a look of reassurance, telling her that it's okay and that she'll be safe from harm if she told the truth. Biting her lip, she told the truth.

"I'm a Witch." Said Lilith, causing everyone to look at her in shock, even Fernando. That wasn't something that he expected. A Witch. Like the magical kind? That…was something he needed to tell Chief about. Lilith, meanwhile, was a bit surprised with the looks that she was getting from everyone. They weren't hostile like she thought. They were more akin to disbelief than anger and hate.

"Witch? You're a Witch? You're kidding me right?" Asked Kai incredulously, voicing what everyone was thinking. "What? Can you do magic or something? Because I'm sort of skeptical that you're a Witch if you can't." Everyone nodded their heads at that and looked at her in anticipation for her to show proof that she was a witch. Lilith grew uncomfortable at the stares, especially the ones from the kids, who looked at her in awe at her declaration of her being able to do magic.

"Well…" Now Lilith was nervous. She used to be able to do magic. Quite freely, if she was honest, but there was one issue to that. One that left her unable to perform the magic that her people were capable of producing. One that was a result of her own actions. Actions that she regrets deeply as they caused great suffering and pain to her family.

"I…I wish I can prove it to you all, but I have a condition that prevents me from using magic the same way as most of my people can do." Said Lilith in honesty, seeing no point in hiding that part of her condition to them. When people drew looks of disappointment at her declaration, she elaborated. "Forgive me, but there's a curse upon me that prevents me from utilizing magic like the rest of my people. I can still do magic, but there now has to be a catalyst for me to do so and I, unfortunately don't have such a thing on me at the moment. I'm afraid those Zeons must have taken them from me when they captured me." Upon hearing that, people just shook their heads at that while others just sighed in disappointment.

"Aw, I wanted to see magic." Said the little human child with a pout. It tugged at Lilith's heart a bit that the child was so disappointed, but what can she do? She didn't have the things that she required to cast spells on her at the moment. She was about to apologize when one of the young boys, a dark skinned one, spoke up.

"Does it have to do with your pointy ears?" Asked the dark-skinned child as he tilted his head while pointing at her ears.

"No. This, however, is one of the conditions of my curse." Said Lilith as she cupped her right eye, a mark of shame because of an action that she committed long ago, but one she endured willingly. "The curse changed one of my eyes to Gray along with a streak of my hair Gray as well. I…I don't want to reveal everything about my curse to you all right now, but I assure you it won't affect anything I can do for you all too much. I can still be of use to you all." Upon hearing that statement from her, everyone looked at her funny or frowned, causing Lilith to blink in confusion. Was it something she said? She was about to ask when Fernando spoke.

"Eh, not to be rude, miss but you got two green eyes. And your hair is all indigo." Said Fernando, causing everyone to nod in agreement as they looked at Lilith's hair, seeing it all indigo. Upon hearing that, Lilith widened her eyes in shock before grasping her right eye in shock as well as parts of her hair, feeling them a bit. After a few seconds of this, she asked someone for a mirror she can use. Upon hearing that, Fernando went inside the Pelican and rummaged a few things before bringing a data pad over to Lilith as a substitute for a mirror. After taking it from Fernando and looking at her reflection, Lilith couldn't help but gasp in shock when she saw that her right eye iris wasn't grey, but mint green like her left. In addition, every part of her hair was indigo. No streak of gray was there at all. Stunned beyond belief at this, Lilith wondered what this could all mean. Could this mean that…that her curse was gone?

"If…if I'm cured then is Edalyn also…" As Lilith thought about what this all meant. Calming herself, she was about conduct a low level spell to see if she was capable of doing magic as that was the only way to check if she was cured at the moment when alarms blared out throughout the hanger, notifying the crew that they were all needed at their battle stations.

"Well, look at that, we got combat to do." Said Kai as everyone began scrambling to their battle stations. "Well, this has been exciting at all, but we got some battling to do. Catch you later. Hopefully, you'll show some proof you're a Witch, lady because no way I'm calling you that unless you show some magic." With that, Kai left with everyone else, leaving Fernando and Lilith. Even Hayato left them, but not before politely telling them goodbye and that he hoped he'd see them soon. Once everyone was gone, Fernando looked at Lilith and asked a question.

"So, is it true? You can do…magic?" Asked Fernando as he looked at Lilith as she still looked at her reflection, deep in thought. She did, however, hear the question and nodded. Upon seeing that, Fernando sighed as he wondered what to say to Chief about this. Magic. Like actual magic! And he thought life was already complicated enough as it was.

"What exactly did I do to deserve all this?" Thought Fernando as he thought of his past life choices.

Meanwhile

Bright

"Unbelievable." Said Bright as he watched the combat footage of Chief fighting Zeon soldiers, both in their own base and in the refugee camp. After recovering from his little stare-down with Master Chief, Bright had him follow him deeper into the ship, away from the critical and essential parts of the ship as he still didn't trust him with an armed escort. After finding an empty room of little consequence, Bright was then shown the evidence that Chief had regarding his fighting with the Zeons. Although they all should be called slaughters then fights with how quickly the green armored soldier dispatched all the Zeon soldiers without even a hint of effort from him on every occasion. It was both terrifying and awe-inspiring to see. Depending on which side was on the receiving end, of course.

After watching it all, Bright looked at Master Chief as he looked at Bright.

"Do you believe me now?" Asked Master Chief as he looked at Bright while the man's armed escort looked at him uneasily, having seen his fight in the recordings and being scared at the prospect of fighting him.

"Yes, I do believe I've seen sufficient evidence to back up your claims." Said Bright as he composed himself again.

"And add reasons why I shouldn't provoke you." Thought Bright as he looked at Master Chief before speaking up.

"You wish to join my crew, yes? In exchange for mutual protection and cooperation?" Asked Bright as he looked at Chief, who simply nodded.

"Yes." Said Chief as he looked at Bright. "But with several conditions. No sharing of military secrets between us. Nor any hidden attempts to study our technology. Any attempts will be met with hostility, even if it means hostilities with two governments." Bright, upon hearing that, looked at the soldier before nodding in understanding.

"I see." Said Bright. There was no question in his mind that this soldier will follow up with that threat. From what he's seen of his mannerisms so far, he was akin to a machine in how he willingly obeyed military procedures and protocols, even if it's to his detriment. He had no doubt that he'll follow through with them, even if it meant danger to him and his companions. Whether he do it because of them or not was something that Bright wasn't sure of and he didn't want to take the chance. Not when it's clear to Bright that this single soldier can wipe out his entire crew without breaking a sweat. Even if he didn't know about their Mobile Suits, all he had to do was venter deep into the ship and they can never use their Mobile Suits against him. Not without critically damaging their ship. Thinking about his position along with his crew, Bright made his decision.

"Very well. In return for mutual protection and cooperation, I welcome you aboard my ship." Said Bright before extending his hand towards Master Chief. "I promise you that my crew will uphold our end of the agreement so long as you do the same. In addition, in the same of trust and cooperation, we'll not inform the wider Earth Federation about your advanced technology until I deem it necessary."

"Understood." Said Master Chief as he nodded at that, knowing what the man was doing. "Do you require assistance at the moment?" Bright just shook his head.

"Not at the moment." Said Bright. "We're currently on our way to a Zeon base in the region. The same one that you were held captive, I'm assuming, given there's only one Zeon base here. If you wish to help, you're welcome to, but I don't think it's needed. Especially after you crippled them with your escape. Correct?"

"Indeed." Said Master Chief. "Dozens of their armed personnel were killed during our escape along with several of their fighters. Resistance should be minimal. Still, I'm at your disposal if you require our assistance, which may be needed given your crew seems to be only containing young men and women." This was true, while Chief was on his way here, he noticed the crew of this ship was only composed of young men and women still in their teens. Joy didn't like seeing so many young men and women here and expressed it to Chief, who responded in kind, saying he didn't like it at all as well.

"I know." Said Bright, not liking the idea of sending young teens into battle. "But trust me, we have weapons that will ensure little fighting between us and the Zeons. In fact, their appearance alone should be enough to cause the Zeons to surrender at the sight of them and allow us to steal their supplies." Upon hearing that, Joy and Chief were curious about what he meant by that. Did he mean a WMD? Unlikely, given the massive destructive potential of such weapons? A biological weapon or a psychological one? Either way, his statement drew their attention.

"You're sure of that?" Asked Chief. "Things can go wrong with such plans and teens aren't exactly the most disciplined of soldiers when plans go awry." Bright frowned at that, knowing he was right.

"I know, but I have faith in those I select to go out there." Said Bright. His tone, though stoic, held enough frustration in it that Chief saw that the young man was frustrated at sending teens in the first place at all like he didn't want to do it in the first place. Seeing this, Chief wanted to know why there were teens here in this ship in the first place along with not a single adult so far that was over their twenties.

"If you're sure that you don't need our help in assisting in taking that base, I'll be with my people." Said Chief. "If you don't mind me asking, will we be able to see you perform in battle?" Bright, upon hearing that, thought about it all for a few minutes before giving his answer.

"Yes." Said Bright, realizing that, if they're staying here for an extended period of time, they'll eventually find out about their Mobile Suits. Knowing that, he decided to let them see them from a distance, but keep them far away from the hanger that contained them. Willing he was to accept their help, he wasn't going to let them anywhere near the Mobile Suits or the essential systems of the White Base. "I'll let you see from the bridge of the ship, but only if you agree to be unarmed while you're there in addition to having a large escort be around you at all times. Is that sufficient?" Master Chief just nodded at that.

"I'll leave someone behind to guard our ship as a precaution." Said Chief, causing Bright to nod in understanding. With that, everyone left for the hanger. As they left the room, Bright took one of his escorts and ordered them to inform the bridge to have them raise their alert level to one and for everyone to head to their level one battle stations. With that done, he escorted Master Chief to the Pelican to pick up his people, well one, as one of them had to stay behind to guard the Pelican, so they can see this weapon that Bright spoke of. One that should easily define what is the key weapon in this universe at the moment.
