Chapter 20: Battle of Friends and Sisters!
AN: Welcome everyone to the premiere of Season two! This time we're starting off with Julio Vs Kila! There will be a few new cards from both so look forward to that and a special one for Julio at that. Nothing else to say so let's continue on.

Three Days After the Duel With Brutus
"Julio!" Neptune called out and Julio came into the living room from his room with IF on his shoulder. The others were in Koneko's room chatting. Kila and the candidates weren't there, however as Kila's parents had come back and she went home. However, she and her parents had talked about the situation they were in along with his parents to vouch for it. They were shocked and were against it at first but Kila managed to convince them though her step mom did have to convinve him but they also made Julio promise to watch her back. Unfortunately, her father and stepmother couldn't see Duel spirits as that was something she got from her birth mother. Currently it was just him in the house as his parents had taken Koneko to her school for a conference of sorts.
"Yeah?" He asked before he noticed all the cards spread on the table.
"Look I made a new deck! Can you check it over?" She said showing him the deck and Julio took it before checking it over.
"Hey, not bad. You actually took my advice when building this." Julio said.
"I can listen! Especially when it's something I really want to do!" Neptune said.
"Yeah, but it's rare you do." IF brought up.
"Well, you can test it out later. We're heading off to Kila's." Julio said. "She wanted me to come over and to bring you guys too thoyugh I'm not sure why."
"Could just be because our sisters miss us." Neptune said knowing full well Nepgear does at the least.
"Could be." Julio said but he had a feeling what it was really about. He then walked to Saph's room and knocked on the door and after a bit Noire opened it.
"Is something up?" Noire asked.
"Yeah, Kila wants us to head over to her place about something." Julio said.
"I wonder what for?" Vert said as she floated over with the others close behind.
"Our sisters probably just wish to see us is all. Despite seeing us every day." Blanc said.
"They just love you is all." Compa said.
"We'll find out soon." Julio said as the group followed him briefly stopping to grab his new black hoodie from the coat rack as his jacket had been destroyed and put it on before they entered the garage where Julio's D-Wheel awaited them. He grabbed hs helmet and placed it on before switching it on as the spirits climbed into the small seats and got into his pockets or sat on his lap and drove off.
Several Minutes Later
"Here we are." Julio said parking in front of a large rather nice looking home and took off his helmet and shook his head to fix his hair and switch it off. The girls floated of of him as he opened the compartment to see the Dogoo.
"Really?" Julio said as it hopped out. "Fine. Just don't break anything." He said and it gooed in response as he put his helmet in the compartment.
"Oh, he's here." Neptune said as she floated down and patted the Doggo on his head as Julio walked up to the door and knocked and after a minute it was answered by a pretty woman about 5'6 and a petite build. She had emerald eyes with sleek black hair that went to her upper back. She wore a dark brown top with black pants and white socks with black sandals on.
"Julio! It's good to see you." She said and hugged the teen.
"Hey, Madison." Julio said hugging Kila's step mother. "Kila called me over for something."
"Really? I wonder what it is?" She said and footsteps were heard as Kila came over with the Candidates in tow. "Oh, Kila."
"Hey mom." She said and looked at Julio. "Glad you could make it."
"Always." Julio said entering with the CPUs and Makers.
"Is this a private thing?" Madison asked. "I can leave you two be."
"It's not a private thing. You'd notice anyways." Kila said as she pulled out her deck. "It's done." Julio was silent for a bit before he grinned.
"Guess it's time." Julio said. "Ready to go down?" He asked with a grin.
"Wait what's going on?" Compa asked.
"It's time for a duel! Friends against friends! Sisters against Sisters! Dragons against Magical Girls!" Julio said in excitement. "I've really been looking forward to this."
"Same here. You guys up for this" Kila asked looking at the Candidates.
"Sort of. I'm ready but I'm nervous." Nepgear answered.
"Yeah, we're up against our sisters." Uni muttered.
"Plus he has that big scary dragon." Ram said.
"Uh huh." Rom said.
"I'm not using Grim Requiem so don't worry about it." Julio said firmly. He had decided he'd only ever use Grim in a duel where his life is on the line. He feared what could happen otherwise. "Dark and Dark Requiem are fair game but not that dragon."
"O-Okay." Rom said looking relieved as did her fellow Candidates.
"By the way...What is this?" Madison asked looking at the Dogoo.
"That's Dogoo. Don't worry he doesn't leave trails and he's very calm." Julio said as Doggo gooed at Madison who let out a aww as she patted him on the head to his delight before turning to Kila and Julio.
"Since you two are planning on dueling did you invite your other friends?" Madison asked.
"Yes. Hazel can't make it though as she has to meet with her coach. Dan's doing something for the school." Kila said and a car pulled up and from it exited Lisa. "Lisa said she could make it."
"Talk about timing." IF said.
"Sorry I'm a little late." Lisa said as she entered the house.
"It's fine. We haven't started yet." Kila said.
"Well, if you two are gonna duel please head into the back." Madison said. "I'll be watching too. I've been curious about these cards you possess."
"You're more then welcome to." Julio said before looking around. "Where's Ray?"
"Work called him in today." Kila answered. "So it's just us." She said as they exited the back door of the house into a large backyard plenty large enough for a duel. Lisa and Madison walked over to some seats on the patio and sat down to watch the duel as Julio and Kila walked to the center of the backyard and took out their decks and handed them to each other.
"It's been quite a while since they've dueled." Madison commented.
"Really? How long?" Lisa asked.
"Since before all this began. They had last dueled and it ended in Julio taking a narrow win." Madison said.
"So, she's looking to take victory here." Lisa concluded as they finished shuffling and returned them before placing them into their duel disc and walked to opposite sides of the yard and faced each other activating their duel discs.
"You can take the first move. Ladies first after all." Julio said and Kila nodded.
"Let's see how you handle my new deck." Kila said.
"Let's see how you handle mine. I've made some edits since my duel with Kobura." Julio said before they had a small stare down and broke it by speaking.
"DUEL!" The two shouted.

"I'll start things off by summoning Magician's Valkyria!" Kila said summoning the female spellcaster. "Next I set two cards and that's it."

"My turn. I draw!" Julio said drawing his card. "I activate the spell card One For One!" Julio said playing a spell that showed a pink flower with a red monster beneath it. "With this I send a monster from my hand to special summon a level one monster from my deck or hand. I Special Summon Maker Beth!" Julio said and a girl standing at 5'5 with dark purple hair and amethyst eyes appeared. She wore a pair of black jeans with a purple shirt under a white sweater. She wore white sneakers. She wielded a sharp dagger that was on her hip.
"My first time appearing in a duel. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said looking at Julio with a grin.
"Nice to meet you too." Julio said.

"Alright, starting things of strong!" Neptune said with a grin as she moved to the field growing to her full height.
"Via her effect I add United We Stand to my hand!" Julio said taking the card from his deck.

"You see my dear friend Beth her has quite the effect. She's an in-archetype Tuningware!" Julio said and Kila's eyes widened. "If she's being used for a Synchro Summon then she can be treated as level two!"
"But you don't have a tuner...Wait." Kila said in realization.
"Yep. Via the effect of Crystal Shard I can special summon it to my field from the grave!" Julio said and the shard appeared glowing faintly.

"I tune my level four CPU Neptune and my level two Maker Beth with my level one Share Crystal!" Julio said as the shard turned into a single ring that surrounded Neptune and Beth who turned into six stars. "Goddess of the Land of Purple Progress! Come forth and help those you call friends!" Julio chanted as a light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! CPU Purple Heart!" Julio shouted and Neptune shot out of the light and readied her blade.
"Feels good to be in a duel again!" Neptune said with a grin.

"Since I used Neptune as material Purple Heart gains 500 ATK until the end of the turn and can attack twice! Furthermore Beth's effect increases the ATK of the monster summoned by an 500!" Julio said as a large purple aura surrounded Neptune.

"Attack me and find out." Kila answered.
"Neptune take out her Valkyria!" Julio said and Neptune rushed forward.
"Trap activate! Protection of the Goddesses!" She said playing a trap whose art showed the Candidates defending an assortment of girls with IF and Compa notable among them "This trap activates when you attack! With this that attack is negated also I draw a card and if its a CPU or Maker I can special summon it otherwise it goes straight to the graveyard!" Kila said drawing her card. "I drew Nepgear! Which means I Special Summon her!" Kila said and Nepgear moved to the field though she was nervous.

"Neptune can still attack!" Julio said. "Neptune attack Valkyria once more!" Neptune rushed forward ready to continue her attack.
"Trap activate Magician's Selection!" Kila shouted and Neptune's attack collided with a barrier. "This negates that attack and destroys the monster with the lowest attack points!" She said and the barrier began to glow and lightning began to crackle around Neptune causing her to cry out in pain.

"I really hate that card." Kila grumbled. It always let him pop off the next turn. She then looked at the cards she drew and one caught her eye. "...This card...I need to wait for the right moment to play this." Kila thought to herself before picking a card in her hand. "I special summon Share Crystal since I control Nepgear!" She said and the blue crystal appeared.

"Now I tune my level three CPU Nepgear with my level three Share Crystal!" Kila said and the crystal floated to Nepgear.
"Time to go all out!" Nepgear said and held the crystal to her chest which erupted into three rings that surrounded her turning her into three stars.
"Candidate of the Land of Purple Progress! Arise and show the power of the next generation!" Kila chanted and a light shot through the pillar. "I Synchro Summon! CPU Purple Sister!" Kila said and Nepgear shot out of the pillar transformed and summoned her weapon

"Yep. This'll be even tougher this time around." Kila said.
"Well, I'll try my best." DMG said with a confident grin.
"I know you will. Now I'll equip her with Magic Formula!" Kila said playing the Equip Spell which caused a pink aura to surround Dark Magician Girl.

"Nepgear attack Neptune!" Kila shouted and though she seemed reluctant about it Nepgear rushed forward and swung her blade which collided with Neptune's. "Now her effect activates! She gains 1000 ATK since Neptune has a higher level!" She said and a purple glow surrounded the Candidate and she began to push her sister back.

"I activate my trap! Zero Gravity!" Julio said playing the trap which forced all the monsters on the field onto their knees. "This changes the battle positions of all monsters on the field." Julio said.
"I set three cards and end my turn." Kila said setting the cards. "Nepgear now loses her attack boosts."

"Looks like it's my turn." Noire said moving to the field.

"I tune my level four CPU Noire with my level three Share Crystal!" Julio said and Noire took the crystal and held it to her chest causing it to explode into rings turning her into four stars. "Goddess of the Land of Black Regality. Come forth and show your strength to your foes!" A light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! CPU Black Heart!" Noire shot out of the pillar of light and landed drawing her sword.

"Next I'll banish CPU's Might to destroy the face down on the left." Julio said and Noire's blade glowed and she slashed cutting through the card revealed to be Magic Cylinder. "Thank Ra you did not have that last turn!" Julio exclaimed.
"What does that do again?" Compa asked.
"Negates the attack of a monster and inflicts damage equal to the ATK of the monster." Vert answered. "So if she had used last turn when Neptune attacked..."
"He would have lost right there and then." Blanc finished.
"That would have been lame." IF muttered.

"Now Noire take out Dark Magician Girl!" Julio said and Noire nodded rushing forward.
"I activate Negate Attack!" Kila said as the heavy wind shot out and forced Noire back.

"I draw!" Kila said drawing her card. "I switch my monster to attack mode." She said and the two monsters rose to their feet. "Nepgear attack Neptune." Kila said and Nepgear shot forward and her blade collided with Neptune's sword. "Her attack increased by 1000!" A purple flow surrounded Nepgear and she began to push Neptune back before forcing Neptune back and slashing her causing her to cry out in pain.

"Via her effect I send Junk Barrage to the grave to prevent her destruction." Julio said and the orange glow disappeared.
"You still take damage but don't forget it's doubled!" Kila said.

"Are you okay Neptune?" Nepgear asked as Neptune fell to her knee.
"Yeah, just stings a bit." Neptune said getting up.
"Dark Magician Girl attack Noire!" Kila said and Dark Magician Girl nodded and shot up before raising her staff charging up a pink blast. "Dark Burning Attack!" She shouted and DMC fired the pink blast at Noire.
"I activate my Trap Card Card Defense!" Julio said discarding a card and the wall of cards appeared deflecting the attack. He then drew his card.

"Next I summon CPU Blanc." Julio said and Blanc moved to the field turning into her full height. "With her effect I'll change Nepgear to defense mode." He said and Blanc threw her hammer and it collided with Nepgear causing her to cry out in pain.
"Sorry Nepgear." She apologized.

Julio said and Blanc took the crystal and held it to her chest causing it to explode into three rings that surrounded her turning her into four stars. "Goddess of the Land of White Serenity! Come forth and show your unrivaled brute force to your foes!" He chanted as a light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! CPU White Heart!" He said and Blanc shot out transformed and her axe on her shoulder. "Since I used Blanc as Material she gains 500 ATK and can't be destroyed by battle twice per turn. Plus I draw a card due to Share Crystal." Julio said as a blue aura surrounded her and he drew his card.

"His deck has improved a lot. Normally Kila would be the one more on the offensive but Julio is forcing her back." Madison said patting the Dogoo on his head.
"Man, this is rough." Uni said seeing the dangerous situation they're in.
"Yeah, the only one not on the field is Vert and all we have is Nepgear and DMG." Ram said frowning.
"Mr. Julio can be intense." Rom said worried.
"Don't give up yet. I'm far from done." Kila said determined. "I activate Waboku!" Kila said and a blue glow surrounded her monsters.

"I draw." Kila said and looked at the card she drew. "...Spellbook Inside the Pot...Getting more cards into his hand isn't a good idea but I need some in mine." She thought to herself before playing it. "I play Spellbook Inside the Pot. We both draw three." Kila said and they both drew.

"Since she was summoned I can weaken a monster you control by 500. I choose Neptune!" Kila said and Neptune fired a small barrage of bullets at Neptune who blocked most but still stumbled back.

"I then activate Premature Burial and summon Share Crystal from my Grave." Kila said and the crystal appeared.

"Um, Julio back to the duel." IF said pinching his cheek drawing his attention.
"Right, sorry." He apologized.
"No problem. It's not a serious duel anyways." IF said smiling drawing notice from all but Madison who couldn't see.
"Those two sure are closer." Noire muttered.
"It's nice though. Seeing Iffy talking more to other people than us." Neptune said.
"Anyways…" Kila said wanting to change the topic. "I tune my level three CPU Uni with my level three Share Crystal!" Kila said and Uni held the crystal to her chet causing it to erupt into three rings turning her into three stars. "Candidate of the Land of Black Regality. Descend and display the power you possess!" A light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! CPU Black Sister!" Kila said and Uni appeared from the light summoning her cannon. "Via her effect she gains 500 ATK and if she destroys a monster by battle she can attack twice. Also I draw a card." Kila said drawing a card as a red aura surrounded Uni.

"Now Uni attack Noire! Please." Kila added noticing her expression and Uni raised her rifle and fired a barrage of green blasts at her sister.
"Trap activate! Nation's Guards!" Julio said playing a trap which showed a few men dressed in robes of varying colors from purple, to black, to green, and white. They also had the symbols of each nation. "When a CPU or Maker Monster I control is attacked this prevents their destruction from battle. Also, if the attacked monster was a CPU Synchro Monster I draw a card." Julio said drawing a card.
"You still take damage." Kila said as the bullets collided with Noire.

"Nepgear attack Neptune!" Kila said and Nepgear nodded before raising her weapon and aiming it at Neptune.
"Multiple Beam Launcher!" Nepgear shouted and fired the purple beam that engulfed Neptune causing her to cry out in pain as she shattered and the beam continued on.

"Trap activate Defense Draw!" Julio said and a orange barrier appeared blocking the attack. "This turns that damage to zero and lets me draw a card." He said drawing his card. "Also due to Purple Heart's effect I'll add Share Crystal to my hand." Julio said as the card ejected from his graveyard.

"Dark Magician Girl destroy Noire!" Kila said and Dark Magician Girl nodded and jumped into the air before raising her wand and made a slashing motion causing a sharp wave of pink energy to slice through Noire causing her to cry out in pain and Julio to grunt as he took damage.
"I'll add CPU Neptune to my hand thanks to Noire's effect." Julio said and took the card as it ejected.

"Saw Noire before I appeared. Looks like we're in a bit of trouble." She commented.
"Not really. Ya see how many cards I have in my hand?" Julio said and she nodded at that.
"Good point." She said and they turned back to Kila.

Julio said and paused looking at the scared twins and felt guilt. "Hey, Scarlight." Julio said drawing his attention. "I know you hate pulling punches but please just this once can you hold back on the flames?" Julio asked gesturing to the twins and Scarlight almost seemed to sigh but nodded. "Thanks. Now if you will." He said and Scarlight raised his flame covered fist and slammed it into the ground sending flames that seemed very restrained and went over all the monsters on the field and though it was hot the twins found it didn't hurt at all as they shattered. The flames then went to Kila and she let out a small hiss as she took the damage.

"Via Blanc's effect I'll add the Share Crystal I just sent to the grave to my hand." Julio said taking the card from his grave.
"Via Rom and Ram's effects I'll add Share Crystal and Uni to my hand." Kila said taking the two cards from her grave and Uni reappeared.
"What's happened since I was gone?" Uni asked.
"Well we're currently getting pushed back." Nepgear answered.

"Also since they were destroyed I can place them in my Pendulum Zones!" Kila said and placed them on her duel disc causing the two to appear once more floating up in blue pillars with the number one und Rom and the number eight under Ram.

"This feels kind of weird." Rom said looking down.
"Since I have both in my Pendulum Zones you can't target or destroy them with card effects." Kila said and Julio tensed at that.
"That's gonna be a problem...Plus I don't know what their effects do." Julio muttered. "Whatever. Scarlight attack her directly with Crimson Hell Burning!" Julio said and Scarlight fired a heavy stream of flames at Kila.
"I activate my trap. Half Shield! That damage is halved." Kila said as a shield appeared holding back the flames that still lightly scorched Kila.

"I activate The Eye of Timaeus." Kila said playing a spell which showed a green dragon with its eye glowing. "With this I target a Dark Magician Monster I control and Fusion Summon a monster that lists the targeted monster as material!" Kila said and from the sky the dragon on the card descended with a roar and Dark Magician Girl jumped up towards it and a flash occurred. "I summon Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!" Kila shouted and the light subsided revealing Dark Magician Girl sitting upon the dragon with knight armor that didn't look too protective. She also had a sword and shield.

"Fair point." She conceded. "Anyways, this monster is cool and all but how does it help her here?"
"Simple. By discarding a card in my hand I can destroy a face up card on the field." Kila said sending a card from her hand causing Dark Magician Girl's sword to glow pink and the dragon to roar and fire a blue beam of energy and Dark Magician Girl yelled firing a pink beam from her sword causing the two to mix before colliding with Scarlight who roared as he was engulfed and destroyed by the beam.

"Trap activate Counter Gate! This negates the attack and lets me draw a card and if its a monster I can Normal Summon it." He said drawing his card. "I drew Maker Valve so I summon her!" He said and the Maker appeared. "Via her effect I reveal Maker Ubi! So you take 400 damage!" Julio said and Valve fired a couple of blasts from her gun that hit Kila but hardly hurt her.

This time around their decks have changed completely, they have completely different strategies and cards in their decks they don't know about. So they have to be more aggressive and willing to take risks." Madison explained.
"How do you know so much? Did you used to be a duelist?" Lisa asked.
"Yes and no. I duel but I dedicate my life to the more psychological part of the game." Madison answered. "But enough about me. Let's focus on this duel."

Julio said and IF quickly avoided the blast and sent several glowing blades at the dragon who roared as it stabbed into it causing it to fall to its knees disorienting DMG and allowing IF to jump up slash her blades through the dragon causing it to roar in pain as it shattered and blew DMG back who screamed out as she shattered to. Thankfully Kila didn't take damage due to Spirit Barrier

"Rom's effect increases my life equal to half of Scarlight's attack." Kila said and a blue glow surrounded her. "Also, You take damage equal to half of Neptune's ATK!" Kila said and Ram raised her staff before firing a bunch of icicles.

"I have to end this here. I've used up almost all of my defensive traps and since all my Crystals were banished I can't go into the other CPUs...I need to draw a level four." Julio thought to himself and drew the card. He looked at it and smiled. "Since I control a Maker Monster I can special summon Maker Insomnia to the field." The young woman appeared and let out a yawn.
"Oh, where am I here?" She asked looking around and noticed the group around. "Oh, a duel."
"Hi." Julio said drawing her attention.
"Oh, you're Julio." She said. "I'm Insomnia."
"Nice to meet you." Julio said.
"Can we finish this? I wanna head back to my room." Insomnia muttered only to get a small smack on the back of the head courtesy of Valve. "Ow!"
"Don't be rude! You know full well you should leave your room more often." Valve said glaring at the girl.
"Hey, it's alright. Don't worry this duel's gonna be over soon." Julio promised.
"Alright, then let's defeat them." Insomnia said in an attempt to be cheery but it came out forced.

"I could go for Dark but…" Julio thought to himself. "With these two monsters I build the Overlay Network!" Julio said and the portal appeared and the two turned into streaks of light that flew into the portal. "Loyal warrior with cursed eyes and a deadly blade. Strike down your opponent with a swift slash!" He chanted and from the portal a female figure hopped out. "I Xyz Summon! Maker Mayra!" The girl was beautiful and pale standing at about 5'3 with a very slender figure. She had cherry blossom colored hair that was pulled into a long ponytail with a white bow and had pale gray eyes. She wore a red kimono that went to just above her thighs and was bound tightly with a white ribbon. Up to her thighs were black tights and matching sandals. On her hip was a sleek ruby red sheath with cheery blossom designs that held the red hilt of a katana. Around her orbited two glowing lights. She turned to Julio her eyes blank as if she was a doll before she knelt.
"I am Mayra...Are you my duelist?" She asked and Julio was caught off guard. Her voice was rather soothing and calm but it was emotionless and almost empty.
"Um...Yeah. Name's Julio. It's a pleasure to meet you Mayra." Julio said.
"Very well. As you are my duelist you are also my lord and I will serve you as a warrior till my last breath." She said rising up and turning to Nepgear ad gained a mildly surprised look on her face. "My opponent is a CPU? No matter...I will strike them down al the same."
"Um...No need to go too hard. This is a very friendly duel and nothing more." Julio said and Mayra looked at him before nodding.
"Understood. I will make it painless." She said and drew her katana in a quick action revealing the sleek silver blade that was a little over two feet long.

"I feel a bit uncomfortable." Nepgear said.
"Yessy...She's intense." Compa said a bit scared.
"This new monster of his is quite lovely to look at." Madison said. "But...She seems rather emotionless."
"Yeah, it's a tad offputting," Lisa said but she was very curious about what she did.
"Is she new?" Kila asked.
"Yep. Her card appeared just yesterday...And she's definitely gonna strike you down. Mayra attack Nepgear!" Julio shouted to the confusion of all but Mayra who readied her blade and shot forward at speeds they couldn't track until she appeared in front of Nepgear who quickly slashed her weapon causing it to collide with Mayra's sending sparks everywhere.
"What's the point of this?" Kila exclaimed.
"When Mayra attacks an opponent's monster with greater attack I can remove an Overlay Unit and bring the attacked monster's attack down to hers!" Julio said and an Overlay Unit disappeared causing the aura around Nepgear to disappear. "Furthermore she gains attack equal to the amount lost!" He said and the purple aura appeared on Mayra and she began to push Nepgear back. "Also, if the monster's ATK was greater then their original ATK that monster loses the same amount again!" He said and Mayra's eyes glowed and a silver aura surrounded Nepgear and she felt herself growing weaker.

"Well, I lose." Kila said with a sigh but she smiled nonetheless as Mayra with a display of skill disarmed Nepgear and sliced clean through Nepgear who gasped as Mayra sheathed her blade causing Nepgear to explode.

Julio Wins
"That took awhile." Julio said as Compa turned into her chibi size and the others appeared while Uni and Nepgear reappeared as Rom and Ram turned to their human selves and floated down to Kila.
"What happened?" Neptune asked.
"We won." Compa answered.
"Awesome! Who got the win?" She asked before noticing the presence of the new Maker who approached them. "Who's this?" Neptune asked curious but she ignored her and walked to Julio.
"I have accomplished my task my lord." She said surprising the girls then and they gave him looks and he gave them a just as confused look.
"Yeah, job well done Mayra...You can just call me Julio by the way." Julio said as he stared into her blank eyes.
"Hmm...I prefer lord." She answered her tone signaling she'd be sticking to it. She was staring at him as if expecting something.
"Um…" He said.
"...I desire a pat." She answered and Julio got what she meant and blinked. He was a bit caught off guard by the request as he didn't think she'd like that but he complied and raised his hand before gently patting her on the head a few times and drew a small smile from the girl.
"...That's pretty cute." He thought to himself.
"Thank you. I will be waiting for you to call on me again." She said and disappeared.
"That girl was…" Noire said and trailed off.
"Empty?" Blanc suggested.
"No...She seemed happy at Julio patting her on the head…" Noire said.
"I guess one-track-minded? She only really seemed to acknowledge Julio." Vert said.
"Yeah it was weird." Julio muttered as Kila walked over. "That was a fun duel."
"Yeah, safe to say it's the best we've had." Kila said with a grin. "Only thing missing was Dark."
"Yeah, part of me wanted to go for him but Mayra more fitting to bring in both to take the win and to show her off." He said.
"Yeah, she's strong but...Off." Kila said.
"She doesn't seem to have much of a personality. Like a doll." Nepgear muttered. "But her eyes...They glowed and I fell weak like they drained me."
"No real point in discussing it though." Julio said. "She's on our side so we can always ask in the future."
"True. If she's as loyal to you as she says it wouldn't be a problem to do ask her." Kila said. "Must have been a shock for to call you her lord though."
"Tell me about it." He said. "I didn't expect her to be calling me that but she didn't seem keen on calling me anything else. But no real point in forcing something that doesn't need to be."
"Yeah, not really a problem. Just probably gonna catch people off guard is all." Noire said as Madison and Lisa walked over.
"That was quite the duel." Madison said. "Your cards are quite potent and you two have built your decks well to suit them."
"We've been preparing them both to battle our enemy and for the tournament." Kila said. "Of course we keep looking at ways to improve them."
"Especially since not all of our blank cards are revealed yet." Julio said.
"Either way you guys are crazy tough now." Lisa said. "Me and Dan are definitely the weaker members of the team."
"Nah. Dan's still got a few tricks up his sleeve plus you haven't shown us all you got. I can tell there's more to your deck." Julio said.
"You noticed?" Lisa asked in surprise.
"Yeah. I could tell that you had a lot more tricks during our duel." Julio said.
"Well...Yeah I do still have some stuff I've been keeping on the down-low." She admitted.
"Hope you don't pull punches when we have our rematch." Julio said and Lisa smiled.
"I won't. I'll go at you with all I've got." Lisa said hiding the feeling of unease she felt at that statement. "It was nice to see the duel but I need to get going. Aunt has something to tell me apparently."
"No problem. Glad to see you." Julio said and Lisa gave Kila a quick hug before heading into the house to leave.
"So, Julio care to stay for lunch?" Madison asked.
"Sure. Was thinking of getting something to eat after this anyways." Julio said. "Plus my duel spirits are probably hungry after that duel." He then proceeded to get sounds of agreement as they entered the house.
Several Minutes Later
"Thank you for this information Lisa." Vernice said as she looked over footage on Julio and Kila's duel. They were in Vernice's room and Lisa was sitting on a seat while Vernice sat on her bed. "This Kila girl is extremely capable."
"She uses the Candidates well." Lisa said. "Both of them do."
"Indeed. I can no longer send our standard duelists to attack them." Vernice muttered. "Perhaps we should focus on the one called Dan for now."
"From what Julio says Dan still has some things to show." Lisa said.
"Then we will see soon. It is still early so I will send someone to engage him." Vernice said. "Also, I have a little job or you."
"What is it my Lady?" Lisa asked.
"Someone in our ranks has fled. I need you to find him and if necessary defeat him then return him to me for punishment." Vernice said with the last word very cold sending shivers down Lisa's spine. She already felt sorry for the fool as Vernice despised traitors.
"Where is he?" Lisa asked rising to her feet.
"Gamindustri." Vernice said surprising Lisa.
"Wow...I've never been." Lisa said excitement going through her body.
"Go to the portal room and Tamara will send you to Planetpune where he is currently hiding out." Vernice said and Lisa nodded but before she could leave Vernice spoke again. "Lisa...I can sense your unease."
"...I can't help but feel guilt in stabbing them in the back like this...They trust me and I'm selling them out...Make no mistake my Lady I will be ready when the day comes but please don't ask me to toss aside my guilt because I will not be able to." Lisa said and Vernice shook her head. This girl was far too kind hearted to do that and she liked that about her.
"I will not. I will simply ask you to work past it because if you don't it will cause you even more pain when all is said and done." Vernice said and Lisa nodded before exiting her room. "Now, to look into who will duel Dan."
Gamindustri
"So, is it nearly ready?" Uzume asked entering the Sharicite room.
"Yes we merely need to wait until it stabalizes on its own. In three days time you will be able to go and assist Neptune and the others." Histoire said. "Alright, I can't wait to go and beat some bad guys down." Uzume said in excitement.
"Now let's...ABABABABABABABABA!" Histoire began to shake and let out strange sounds.
"Eh! Histy what's happening?!" Uzume exclaimed as the older Neptune ran in.
"Hey, what's happening?" Neptune asked before Histoire's eyes glowed blue and an image of a much smaller Histoire appeared. "Oh, it's the tiny Histy!"
"Hello! It is a pleasure to see you after a while." The smaller Histoire said her voice more high pitched and cuter than normal Histoire's. "Plutia was very insistent to call."
"Hi Histoire!" A rather slow voice said and a cute girl dressed in pajamas appeared next to the small Histoire. "Is Neppy there?"
"No. She is currently handling a situation and is another world." Histoire answered.
"What? Is she in trouble?" The girl asked in worry.
"Yes and no. She is currently battling our enemy in that world but she is receiving aid from a teen and his friends there." Histoire said.
"How so?" Mini Histy asked.
"I can explain in time." Histoire said.
"Well, if Neppy needs help...I'll go and help!" Plutia said surprising hte Histoire's.
"Absolutely not! You are needed here!" The Mini Histy said and Plutia's eyes darkened.
"I'm helping Neppy Histy." She said her tone slow but very dark and the Mini Histy flinched.
"V-Very well. I'll have the others look after things here." Mini Histy said. "I'll open the portal but you'll have to wait three days."
"Okay. I'll be seeing you soon." Plutia said all smiles again as the connection ended.
"On one hand its great to know we have a very powerful ally on their way...I feel nervous." Uzume said.
"Yes but the more help you all have the better." Historie said before yawning. "Anyways, I am going to go rest. making the portal is very tiring." She said and floated off.
"So, wanna go eat at that pudding place?" Neptune asked.
"Sure. Wanna take B-Sha and Umio along?" Uzume asked as they exited the room.
AN: God this took a while to finish but I got it done within January as I said and it's a very long one with a duel that was in the making for a while that featured a lot of new cards.
So, let's get to those new cards.
Maker Beth
ATK: 500 DEF: 300
Level: 1 Light
Warrior/Effect
If this card is used for the Synchro Summon of a CPU or Maker Monster you can treat this card as a level two. If this card is sent to the GY for the Synchro Summon of a CPU or Maker Monster increase that monsters attack by 500.
Pretty simple card used as another method to summon the CPUs and give a slight buff. Also she is based off of Bethesda.
Protection of the Goddesses
Trap/Counter
When an opponent's monster declares an attack negate it also draw a card and if its a CPU or Maker you can Special Summon it to your field otherwise send it to the graveyard.
Just a simple battle trap that can also net you a free summon.
Nation's Guards
Trap/Normal
When a CPU or Maker Monster you control is attacked that monster is not destroyed by battle. Also, if the attacked monster was a CPU Synchro Monster draw one card.
Again a simple battle trap that gets you a free draw.
Oracle's Wisdom
Trap/Normal
If you control a CPU or Maker Monster your opponent cannot target or destroy cards in your Spell/Trap zone until the end of the turn.
A card made to protect your spells and traps. Not much else to say.
Candidate's Potential!
Trap/Normal
Target a CPU Synchro Monster you control, that monster gains 1000 ATK for every monster on your opponent's side of the field. Also if the targeted monster is the only monster you control and your life points are lower than your opponents the targeted monster can't be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
This card is meant to act as a massive comeback card as you can see. Nothing else to say.
Maker Mayra
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1300
Rank: 4 Dark
Warrior/Xyz/Effect
OVU: 2
Requirements: 2 Level Four CPU or Maker Monsters
If this attacks an opponent's monster with greater ATK: You can detach one Xyz Material from this card and make the attacked monsters ATK equal to this cards ATK, then this card gains ATK equal to the amount lost. Also if the monster's ATK was greater then it's original ATK it loses ATK equal to the amount lost.
If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect you can detach one Xyz Material instead.
Now I had a lot of fun with this cards effects, design and overall personality of the character. You'll also notice she's not named after a company. This is due to me having other plans for companies and me wanting to make this card more unique. Plus she'll be getting a lot more in the future thanks to the Rank Up cards Julio has and the future Rank Down card.
