Chapter 22: Speeding Up!
AN: Hey guys back with the next chapter. Long story short I got my Fate Fic up finally so I focused on that and then I started struggling to sleep so I took a break to get my sleep cycle back in check. This one's not too so I can get it up in under two months. Got nothing else to say so let's get right into it.

One Hour Ago
"Thanks for your help with this." A man said to Dan as they exited a classroom. The man was about 6'1 and had some muscle on him. He had black hair with golden brown eyes and dark skin. He wore a black suit with a white collared shirt and tie.
"No problem Professor Chase." Dan replied. "I know that there's a lot of complaints towards Julio and soon Kila regarding their new cards."
"Indeed. However, the rulings on this are very clear cut. They are capable of being played on the system meaning they are a part of the database and two 17-year-old teens would not be capable of hacking it without notice." Chase said. "The most that could happen is that Industrial Illusions could have them come into their company so they can create copies to silence complaints. Even then they cannot force them to should they wish to not share them." Dan nodded at that. They had discussed this and come to the decision they shouldn't at least not until they beat their enemies. The CPUs, in particular, said they'd only ever be fine with Kila and Julio using their cards and maybe their other friends if it came down to it.
"Well, I'm gonna go. Call me if ya need me." Dan said.
"Very well. Good luck with that qualifier in a couple of days." Chase said.
"Thanks, sir." He said with a smile before walking away. He walked until he exited the school and waved at the guard before walking to the parking lot where his car was and a couple of others. He walked to the car when a black dome surrounded him. "...Well this is annoying."
"You don't sound bothered." A cloaked male commented as he appeared.
"I've seen this happen with Julio and participated when he fought that big guy. I assume you're here because I'm his ally?" Dan asked activated his duel disc.
"Indeed. Our leader wishes to test your strength and sent me." The man answered activating his own.
"You better be tough otherwise you're in for a bad time." Dan said as they shuffled their decks and drew their cards.
"DUEL!" The two shouted.

"I activate the spell card Speedroid Scratch!" Dan said playing a speel which showed a hand using a coin to scratch a card. "With this I send a Speedroid from my hand in order to add another from the deck to my hand." Dan said. "I send Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice and add Speedroid Double Yoyo to my hand." Dan said adding the card to his hand.

"Next I summon it." Dan said and a large mechanical yoyo appeared. It carried to large saws via electricity. "With its effect, I can Special Summon Tri-Eyed Dice from my graveyard to the field." He said summoning the dice.

"Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings. Strike down our enemies at light speed!" A light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Dan shouted and from it emerged Clear Wing who appeared with a roar.

"I send the top card of my deck to the Graveyard and then I can Special Summon a Battlin' Boxer from my deck to the field in Defense Mode. I summon Battlin' Boxer Glassjaw!" He said and a very large muscular man with green skin appeared with a yell.

"Battlin' Boxer? This could be dangerous." Dan muttered remembering the first time he dueled against this deck and lost due to a certain monster's effect blindsiding him.
"Next I summon Battlin' Boxer Headgeared." He said summoning a smaller but still muscular man with red headgear on his head. "With his effect I can send a Battlin' Boxer from my deck to the grave. I send Battlin' Boxer Counterpunch." He said and Dan tensed recognizing the card.

"Next I activate the Field Spell Molten Destruction." He said and Dan's eyes widened as a large volcano erupted from behind the man and lava dripped from it as ash fell from the top of the dome. "With this, all Fire Monsters gain 500 ATK and lose 400 DEF." He said as a red aura surrounded his monsters.

"Isn't this gonna draw attention?" Dan asked and the man shook his head.
"Our leader upgraded it to where anybody who can't see the dome in the first place can't see any of us at all. In other words, we're completely invisible." The man explained. "She did so to prevent any interference whatsoever.
"Good to know." Dan muttered.
"Next with these two I build the Overlay Network." He said and the two monsters turned into streaks of red light and flew into the portal. "I Xyz Summon Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke!" He shouted and from the portal jumped a very large man wearing a Greek/Roman-style outfit and wore an iron mask. He also had a shackle on his right arm that went to his neck. He wore wooden balancers on both sides along with a weight balancer on his back. Two glowing lights traveled around him.

"Yoke attack Clear Wing!" The man shouted and the monster rushed forward and threw a punch with his left hand.
"Continuous Trap activate! Burning Sonic!" Dan said and a red barrier appeared blocked Yoke's attack causing the man to stumble back. "This negates your attack and equips onto Clear Wing boosting him by 500." He said and a red glow surrounded Clear Wing who roared.

"I activate his effect. I target Clear Wing to lower their ATK by 800." Dan said and the boomerang began to spin. "I then activate Clear Wing's effect. When a level five or higher monster is targeted with a Monster Effect he can negate that effect and destroy that monster. Dichroic Mirror!" Dan said and Clear Wing roared as their wings glowed and sent out streaks of light that engulfed the monster causing it to shatter and a glow to surround Clear Wing.

"Clear Wing attack that Lead Yoke!" Dan shouted and his dragon roared before rushing forward a green cone of wind surrounding him and collided with the boxer who yelled in pain as heavy winds sliced into hi and also sliced the man across his arms causing him to let out a small hiss of pain but pushed pass it as Yoke flung Clear Wing back cracking his chains to do so.

"When a Battlin' Boxer monster would be destroyed I can remove an Overlay Unit from Yoke instead." The man said as an orb disappeared. "Also he gains 800 ATK." The man said as the boxer yelled as the red aura increased.

"Not at all. Since I took battle damage I can Special Summon Battlin' Boxer Veil to the field." He said and summoned a man with orange padding wielding a large shield on each arm. "With him I regain all the life points I just lost." He said as a green aura surrounded him causing Dan to tense. "Also I activate the effect of the Battlin' Boxer Glassjaw removed from Lead Yoke. When he's sent to the graveyard via a card effect I can add a Battlin' Boxer from my graveyard to my hand. I'll add Battlin' Boxer Switchitter." He said, taking the card.

"I draw." The man said, drawing his card. "I summon Battlin' Boxer Switchitter." He said and another boxer appeared though he had a hood over his head. "Next via his effect I can special summon a Battlin' Boxer from my grave. Return Glassjaw!" He said and from a portal emerged the large boxer and a red aura surrounded the two monsters.

"Now using my three monsters I build the Overlay Network!" He shouted and the three turned into three red streaks of light. "I Xyz Summon! Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus!" He shouted and from the portal emerged a blue and gold armored man. He had two large shields on his arms sort of like wings and the number 105 on one. He landed next to Yoke and two orbiting stars appeared around him along with a red aura.

"I don't remember what this card does...Can't take any chances." Dan thought to himself before activating a set card. "Trap activate! Half Unbreak." Dan said and a large bubble appeared around Clear Wing."This'll protect Clear Wing from being destroyed by battle and halves all damage I take."

"I'm aware of the cards this deck possesses." Dan answered. "That negation trap could be a massive problem so I'm taking precautions now."
"Smart move." The man said as he indeed had that trap set. "I'll attack Clear Wing with Lead Yoke!" He shouted and Yoke shot forward slamming his fist against the barrier sending shockwaves that caused Dan to stumble.

"I activate Hi-Speedroid Re-Level. I'll banish the Double Yoyo in my graveyard to increase Clear Wing's attack by 500 times Double Yoyo's level. It was level four so Clear Wing gains 2000 ATK!" Dan said and a burning orange aura surrounded Clear Wing who roared. "Also it makes his level equal to the banished monster."

"Next I activate Mystical Space Typhoon. I'll destroy the trap to the left." Dan said and a heavy wind blew forth and collided with the face down causing it to spin up in the air revealing Glassjaw being punched in the face by another smaller boxer with blue gear. "Yes!" Dan said and the man let out a sound of annoyance.

"Clear Wing attack Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Dan shouted and Clear Wing shot down roaring but the man smirked.
"Since a Battlin' Boxer is in battle against an opponent's monster I can activate the effect of Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus! By removing one Overlay Unit I can negate the effects of my opponent's monster and that Battlin' Boxer isn't destroyed by battle. Furthermore, you take the damage I take!" The man said and Dan's eyes widened as Star Cestus jumped in front of Lead Yoke and blocked Clear Wing's blow with the shields holding Clear Wing back before using his left arm to grab Clear Wing and slammed its other fist into the dragon's face causing Clear Wing to roar in pain as it flew back.
"Clear Wing!" Dan cried out as the dragon landed on its back.

"I draw." The man said, drawing his card. "Lead Yoke attack Clear Wing!" He shouted and Lead Yoke rushed forward and threw a punch.
"Trap activate! Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!" Dan said and the metal scarecrow appeared and blocked the attack. "This negates that attack and instead of going to the grave it just resets itself." He said and the scarecrow lowered down.

"I activate the effect of the Tri-Eyed Dice in my graveyard. By banishing this I can negate the attack of your monster." Dan said and the blue dice appeared to block the punch the monster threw causing him to fly back.

Dan said, sending the two cards away. "I'll add Pot of Greed to my hand." Dan said and the card ejected from his graveyard to his hand. "Next I'll activate it." Dan said, drawing his cards.

"Trap activate. Follow Wing!" Dan said, revealing what appeared to be a pair of glowing wings in space and they appeared on Clear Wing and folded into a sort of shield. "By targeting a Synchro Monster I control I can equip this card to it. With this Clear Wing can't be destroyed by battle or card effects. It has other effects but they won't apply here."

"I draw." Dan said, drawing his card. "I activate Twin Twister." Dan said, playing a spell which showed two tornados. "With this I discard a card and destroy up to two spell or traps on the field. I'll destroy your field spell and the face down on the left!" Dan said discarding his card and two twisters shot out of the card one smaller that shattered the face down revealing it to be another trap that showed two boxers but they were noticeably smaller than the Battlin' Boxers. However, another much larger one appeared and ripped through the entire area around them buffeting the two of them and likely would have blown them away if it hadn't been for their monsters. Once the twister disappeared the volcano was gone and the rain of ash was gone and the monsters on the man's field lost their red aura.

"Now I activate Shock Surprise!" Dan shouted. "With this I can banish up to two Speedroid Monsters in my graveyard and destroy the same amount on the field. I banish Razorang to destroy Lead Yoke!" Dan said and a bolt of lightning shot out and collided with Lead Yoke who yelled out in pain.
"I'll detach an Overlay Unit." The man said and Lead Yoke let out a yell and flexed, dissipating the lightning along with shattering his restraints allowing him to stand at his full height.

"That's fine. I summon Speedroid Gum Prize." Dan said and the machine appeared unfurling from its gum pack mode.

"Now I tune my level one Speedroid Gum Prize with my level seven Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Dan said and the machine turned into one ring surrounding Clear Wing.
"So, you're going for that dragon of yours." The man guessed. "It'd be for naught. I have Counterpunch in my Graveyard and in the event he negates it Cestus can make it to where he'll take the damage I take. My face down is also an attack negation if I feel unsafe."
"Not at all." Dan said, surprising the man. "Storming machine who rips through the skies, descend and lend me your might!" Dan chanted and a light shot through the rings. "I Synchro Summon! Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake!" Dan shouted an almost dragon-like roar was heard but it sounded distinctly mechanical and from the light erupted a very large mechanical drake with blue armor and glowing green wings similar to Clear Wing's and looked to be kites. There were several glowing lights along its almost chain-like body. It landed next to Dan and roared.

"What the hell is this? Ahh it hardly matters. It's nowhere near enough to beat my monsters and finish me off this turn." The man said.
"You sure about that?" Dan asked with a grin confusing the man. "With the effect of Gum Prize I can send a card from the top of my deck and if it's a Speedroid it increases Kitedrake's attack by 1000." Dan said and took the card from the top of his deck and smirked at the sight of it. "It's Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice. Kitedrake's attack increases!" He said and a green glow surrounded the machine who roared.

"How does this help you?" The man asked and Dan smirked.
"Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake's effect activates! If this card is Synchro Summon I can destroy all other cards on the field!" Dan said and the man's eyes widened as Kitedrake roared and it shot into the air as the red lights began to glow with its wings changing from green to red as well before firing dozens of red beams of light down which ripped through the entire field and sliced through all of his monsters who let out yells as he they shattered and ripped through his face down revealing it be Negate Attack while ripping through Dan's Scrap-Iron Scarecrow

"Now you're wide open. Kitedrake attack him directly." Dan said and Kitedrake roared and a red of energy generated in its mouth and fired it at the man causing an explosion and the man yelled in pain as his life reduced to zero.

"That was rough. Glad I managed to evade him using Counterpunch against me." Dan muttered as a black portal opened up and the man to it of his cloak destroyed revealing he had dark hair and green eyes and was tan but there were burns along his body. He looked barely a couple of years older than Dan himself.
"Nice duel...It'll end differently if we duel again." The man said to Dan and entered the portal.
"Yeah we'll see about that." Dan said as the portal closed and the dome disappeared. "Glad I came out of that unscathed. Time to get home and call the others about this." Dan muttered as he walked to his car.
Present Time
"And that's it." Dan said, finishing explaining to Julio and the others who were sitting on his bed. They had called Hazel and Kila and put it into a group chat so they could all talk. They tried calling Lisa but she didn't answer.
"Least your okay." Kila said. "We should leave a message to Lisa just in case and Hazel be sure to watch out in the event they decide to test you out as well."
"I will. We can tell Lisa when we see her tomorrow." Hazel said.
"I wonder why they decided to test you. Think they're afraid you could do something like I did with Dark?" Julio asked.
"Possibly. It's a connection we all share plus that Fusion Dragon guy. They could want to figure out a way to draw out the power and make him even stronger." Dan suggested.
"That's certainly a possibility." Vert said. "Perhaps we should look into it ourselves when we get the chance? Having access to that for Dan and Lisa would be an immense advantage."
"Problem is Juliy had to almost die to be able to access it the first time and let that guy take over." Neptune pointed out. "I highly doubt any of us would be okay with the idea of pushing Dan and Lisa to that point."
"That's a good point." Noire said.
"Almost killing your friends and having an evil force control them? Just sounds like a terrible idea." Blanc said bluntly.
"Yeah, it'd be awesome if they got dragons like me but you couldn't force me to do that to them." Julio muttered leaning back against his wall with Thump hopping onto his lap and the Dogoo next to him. "Also, I should mention I had received blank cards out of nowhere and the cards I used to summon Grim Requiem appeared from them."
"So, I should keep an eye out for any? Thanks for the heads up." Dan said.
"No problem. Tell Lisa when you see her tomorrow." Julio said.
"I will. I need to get going, Dad's calling me for something." Dan said.
"Alright, see ya." Julio said.
"See you tomorrow." Hazel and Kila said together and Dan hung up.
"I'm gonna get going too. Bye." Hazel said hanging up.
"You sure you don't wanna join us?" Kila asked Julio.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I'll be fine and if I get attacked I'll let you know." Julio promised.
"Alright. See you later." Kila said.
"Bye sis!" The Candidates said from the other line and they hung up.
"So, what are you going to do tomorrow?" Noire asked the teen.
"I'm heading off to a place for D-Wheels. IF wanted to check it out and because she can't go alone I decided to go ahead." Julio answered.
"Wait just the two of you?" Vert asked.
"Yeah. I've been wanting to check it out and since Julio's not busy I decided to ask him." IF answered and upon noticing the mischievous expression on Neptune's face she spoke up. "It's not a date. We may be going alone but it's just the two of us hanging out like friends. Plus, even if it were like that it'd be hard to go out on a date when there's this small problem we're dealing with." IF said gesturing to her chibified height.
"Good point. Be kinda awkward to be going to date places alone and seemingly talking to yourself." Blanc said.
"God that'd look sad." Julio said thinking about how it'd look. "Anyways, yeah we're leaving by ourselves tomorrow."
"Alright, hope you two have fun." Compa said brightly.
"Well, you two be sure to be careful. If they attacked Dan then they'll be likely to attack at any time now." Noire said.
"We will. I'm gonna make edits to my deck to function without you guys so it's gonna be more Xyz based." Julio said.
"Really? I'm quite curious about this deck." Vert said.
"I don't have it built yet so I can't exactly show you. I got an idea for it though." Julio said. "Plus I've been feeling like using them lately."
"Well, show us when it's done." Neptune said.
"Julio dinner's ready!" He heard his mother call out.
"Coming!" Julio said gently moving his sleeping bunny off of him and next to the snoring Dogoo and got up from the bed stretching. "Alright, let's go eat."
"Good I'm starving." Neptune said floating up and landing on his shoulder and he walked out with everyone following.
Side Adventures 2: Tour
"And here we are!" Valve said proudly as she and her friends along with Dark exited a portal into a large courtyard. Dark looked around and saw the base was quite large, easily the size of a large school. He also noticed it was almost sunset.
"Quite impressive. How long did it take you to build this?" Dark asked as he looked around.
"A week. It'd have taken us longer but the Heroes sent some Machine monsters to assist us and they cut down the time it'd take to make a base of this size." Valve said. "C'mon. There's a lot to show you."
"You can handle that. I'm heading to my room." RS said nonchalantly and walked away.
"Sorry but you'll have to do it without me as well. I've gotta go check on them." Ubi said.
"It's fine. You have an excuse unlike her." Valve said annoyed and Ubi walked towards a door and entered it.
"What about you Acti?" Valve asked the small girl.
"I'll go with you." She said and Valve nodded.
"Alright, let's go." Valve said and was about to lead Dark but paused and pulled her pistol out. "I almost forgot." She muttered and flicked a switch before aiming at the portal and shooting it, switching it off. "Okay, let's go."Valve said and walked over to a very large set of doors and with strength surprising for her petite frame pushed both open with little effort with Acti walking next to her. The large hallway was of similar size and it was easily large enough for Dark to walk with little effort.
"You've prepared for this." Dark commented.
"Yeah, some monsters are pretty large so we took it into consideration. Thankfully you're not particularly big." Valve said. "Would you prefer I show you everywhere or just places I'd imagine you care about more?"
"The latter." Dark growled out and Valve nodded.
"Alright, we're closest to the place you'll be able to get food and even live if you want." Valve said and led the large dragon down the hallway with Acti walking alongside her. They continued walking until they arrived at the large door that Valve opened revealing it led into an extremely large field that led to a large forest. "This is for the larger monsters who prefer to hunt their own prey like Scarlight and Gandora."
"Hmm...I wouldn't mind fighting with them." Dark growled.
"Good. I look forward to defeating you." A deep, king like voice said and in front of him, Scarlight landed which showed the considerable size difference between the two. Valve and Acti appeared to be a tad nervous but Dark looked unfazed. "Looks as if they convinced you. Though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised as these are the allies of our duelist."
"Scarlight." Dark growled at the dragon in greeting. "It should have been no doubt I'd join them. Julio is above all my priority. Joining them will simply increase the odds of protecting him from our enemies."
"A fair point. In any case, welcome my friend." Scarlight said holding a claw out that Dark took in his own and the two shook briefly. "Join Gandora and I when you are done with this tour. After all it's been quite a while since the three of us have seen each other in person." Scarlight said and with a flap of his wings flew off towards the forest.
"You two seem to get along." Acti said.
"He and I have been acquainted for a few months at this point after Julio's older sister gave him Scarlight. He may come off as intimidating but he's kind at heart to others that aren't his enemies. The only annoying part of him is how arrogant he can be though I won't deny he can back that arrogance up." Dark growled before looking at Valve. "Shall we continue?" He asked.
"Yes. Follow me." Valve said and he followed Valve and Acti inside and began to lead him down the hallway which had several doors. "Little heads up these doors lead to spare rooms for any future guests to sleep in." Dark simply nodded observing the area as they walked along turning a corner every now and then. They kept the place similar to a school for sure. They could have made it more futuristic. He knew full well of the technology available in this world but chose a much simpler design. As they walked Valve pointed out places like a mess hall for humans or humanoid monsters, a large library with computers, armory, and even an infirmary. While he didn't particularly care for them he did admire the amount of effort put into this base. This continued until she arrived outside a large door.
"Alright, I'd say this is probably one of the few things you'd be interested to see." Valve said and opened the door revealing a very large duel field. It had the necessary equipment for duels and Dark even noticed it had the means to create an Action Duel. Dark also noticed a door that led to a weight lifting off to the corner of the field. "This doubles as a training ground for hand to hand combat and duels. We also use it for tests involving measuring the power of a spirit."
"What do you mean?" Dark asked.
"Basically, how difficult it'd be to manifest in the human world." Valve explained. "In the event, we need to personally head into the world we can check what monsters would be capable of materializing. Also, it'll be helpful if Julio ever gets to the point he can use his abilities to summon us or the CPUs in the real world."
"I do recall that being possible for humans with a strong connection to duel spirits...I don't doubt him or really any of his friends could do it." Dark said.
"We can assist him with that once we're ready to bring him here." Valve said.
"Uh huh. I want to meet him in person. He was very nice." Acti said with a smile. Dan chuckled at that.
"That he is. Didn't used to be that way though." Dark said.
"Huh? Was he different?" Acti asked.
"Yes he was...He was very quiet and very closed off to most others...Only ever showing a smile around his family or friends, well friend. For a while all he had was Kila. Eventually, he changed for the better and became friendlier with others and soon gained more friends." Dark said almost nostalgically.
"Wow that really doesn't sound like him." Valve said in surprise and Dark heard footsteps which caused him to turn his head and saw Mayra entering the room. "Oh, hi Mayra."
"Hello, Mayra." Acti said and Dark was confused who this was but he sensed quite a bit of power from her.
"Greetings Valve. I'm merely here to practice as usual while I wait for my card to appear for our Lord." Mayra answered and turned to Dark who studied her. "Who is this dragon?"
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. He's Julio's ace monster." Valve said.
"Then it is a pleasure to meet you." Mayra said bowing deeply. "As you are our Lord's ace you outrank me which means I will follow any orders you may have." Dark was uncomfortable at this point.
"There's no need. I may be his ace but that does not mean there is such a thing as rank among us. On the battlefield, we are equals who fight alongside each other." Dark growled. "My one and only goal is to protect Julio. Nothing more."
"Then we share a common purpose. I will dedicate my blade and life to our Lord." Mayra said, raising her head. "I promise you that."
"Hmph. Then I expect you to keep your word." Dark said and Mayra walked past the three and went to the center of the field.
"Come on. We should leave her be." Valve said and Dark and Acti nodded following her. "That's Mayra. She's yet to form into a card for Julio but I can assure you that she'll be a valuable force for his deck."
"Yeah she may be the strongest Maker here." Acti said brightly.
"She seems rather...Odd." Dark commented.
"Yeah that's just the way she is. I'd tell you why but that's personal to her." Valve explained and Dark nodded.
"Is there anything else?" Dark growled.
"Hmm...I think there's one more thing you'd like to see." Valve said and was about to start walking again when Acti yawned. "You sleepy?"
"A little. Walking in that forest for as long as we did and running from that dragon made me a bit tired." Acti said and upon realizing what Valve was implying spoke up in a stubborn voice. "But I'm not tired enough that I need to go to bed though!" Acti said with a stubborn look on her face that caused Acti to smile at how cut it was. Dark watched the child and chuckled before reaching down and gently picking her up from the collar of her coat causing her to let out a squeak of surprise and placed her on his neck where she quickly balanced herself. "Woah! That surprised me."
"Um you sure you want to carry her?" Valve asked.
"She's quite small and light. It will hardly be an issue. Also, I know how stubborn children can be when it comes to situations like this. I've been with Julio since he was born." Dark said.
"Wow, that long?" Valve said in surprise.
"He must trust you a lot." Acti said adjusting her place on his neck.
"And I trust him." Dark replied and Valve began to lead Dark along the hallway and the two turned a corner when Valve accidentally bumped into a girl she recognized as Insomnia.
"Ow...Valve watch where you're going." She muttered.
"Sorry...Surprised to see you out of your room." Valve noted.
"I'm just getting a meal." Insomnia said before noticing the large dragon before her. "Oh...Hello."
"Greetings." He growled.
"Hey Insomnia." Acti said waving from atop his neck.
"Looks like a nice ride." Insomnia said smiling at the small girl. "I'll be going." Insomnia said before walking rather sluggishly past them.
"That girl." Valve muttered. "That's Insomnia. She's rather...Neetish for a word."
"I suppose that's an apt description." Dark muttered as they continued walking until they arrived at another large door and Valve opened it revealing a very high tech room with several computers and a large machine in the shape of an arc.
"This can transport us almost everywhere in the Spirit World." Valve explained. "Obviously places, where the extremely strong monsters reside, are out of the table."
"Quite useful." Dark noted.
"It is. Great for getting supplies or helping out others." Valve said when the arch glowed and from it exited a young woman who sighed. "Hey Blizzard." She said and the girl looked over to notice the trio.
"Hey Valve." She said her voice tough sounding. "I see you found and recruited that dragon of our duelist."
"Yep. Just showing him around." Valve said.
"Well, pleasure to meet you. Hope we can all keep working together." Blizzard said yawning.
"Did your job go bad?" Acti asked.
"Nah it was nothing sweetheart. It went well, just tiring. Those zombies can be annoying especially when they don't stop coming." Blizzard muttered.
"Zombies?" Dark asked, curious.
"Yeah. It's what we do. Take jobs from other monsters and complete them either for straight-up money, resources, or intel. It's also how we're paying back the Heroes for their assistance." Blizzard explained.
"Don't worry. If you don't want to do these we won't force you." Valve assured him but Dark shook his head.
"I will assist. However, only in combat situations." Dark said simply.
"Alright. That's pretty much the same conditions Scarlight and Gandora gave." Blizzard said. "Anyways, I'ma get to bed...Should probably get Acti there too." Blizzard commented seeing the young girl dozing off but quickly waking herself up.
"I guess I should take her to bed." Valve said and Dark reached up and gently took the girl off of him and lightly placed her into Valve's arms. "Thanks."
"It's no issue. I will be heading to the forest." Dark growled and stomped off.
"Honestly...Looks intimidating but he seems like a softy." Blizzard commented.
"Yeah...Still need to be careful around him though." Valve said shifting Acti to hold her better as Acti had dozed off completely. "See ya later. Gotta take her to bed."
"Right. Later." Blizzard said and the two walked off in different directions.
A Couple Minutes Later
"Oh, hey welcome back." Rs spoke up as Valve entered through a door into a room. The room was decently sized with a kitchen, a small dining room with a small table and four chairs. It was connected to a living room with a couple of couches one of which RS was sitting on and a TV that had a game console hooked to it. There was a small hallway which had a few doors
"Hey...For goddesses' sake how many times have we gone over this?!" Valve said, glaring at the girl who was clad in a white towel that hugged her figure. "You need to put some clothes on after a shower."
"I thought I'd be alone for a hit longer." RS said, shrugging.
"That's no excuse!" She exclaimed loudly and Acti squirmed in her arms.
"Careful you'll wake her." RS said with a smirk.
"Grr…" Valve growled.
"I side with her." Another voice said and Ubi walked in glaring at the towel-clad woman who sighed. "We've gone over this. In these shared quarters of ours, you must follow the rules established."
"Fine...I'll go get dressed. I was heading to the mess hall anyways as I doubt any of us feel like cooking right now." RS muttered heading down the hallway and entering a room on the left and shutting the door behind her.
"That woman sometimes annoys me." Ubi sighed.
"Yeah but she comes through when we need her to. How are they?" Valve asked the woman.
"They are well. They miss me at times though." Ubi sighed.
"You know full well you can take time off and stay right?" Valve asked as she carried Acti down the hallway with Ubi following and opening a door for her and entering a room with light icy blue paint and a bed with white bedding. There were a few dressers with one holding a few books. Valve gently set Acti on the bed and just as gently took off her coat leaving her in a small white dress and removed her boots and hat before gently picking her up allowing Ubi to lift the bedding. She then tucked the small girl into the bed who let out a soft sound.
"I am but we are currently in pressing times and my help is needed." Ubi said as they quietly exited the room. "I trust Margaret to look after them. Right now my friends are in need of me."
"You're not wrong." RS said as she exited her room dressed in her usual outfit minus the jacket. "Wanna join me?"
"Sure. I'm hungry." Valve said.
"I could use a drink." Ubi agreed and the three exited the living quarters locking the door behind them.
AN: God this took so much longer then I wanted it to and it kind of pisses me off but I decided I wanted to also use this chapter to give a little more of the Makers and what they're up to. Honestly, you'd think being stuck at home would give me more motivation or something to work on my fics but nope it honestly hurt it at times. Next time I feel I'll take longer then I want I'll leave a chapter telling you guys.
Anyways, let's get to the reviews.

The answer is yes thanks to Vernice and her group causing problems in time with their frequent use of their portals which caused the time zones of Gamindustri and Julio's world to sync up.

4. I was very much referencing him. He'll appear sooner than the tournament of course but he'll be playing a good role there. I do intend for him to face off against Julio after he gets more than a few powerful additions so giving him a boss monster would probably be a good idea.
5. Thanks for the OC and I like her quite a bit especially since I've been wanting a few villain OCs. She seems like she'll be quite the challenge for sure down the line. I'd say you should come up with chants as their your OCs and custom cards but I am willing to write them since this is my story.
Alright. That's it. Once again thanks for the reviews. I really appreciate them. The next chapter will be a kind of date chapter between Julio and IF. It will, of course, feature a duel but its gonna be a different kind for me to write and feature a different build if his deck.
Also check out my Fate Fic. I'm having a blast writing it right now and I am accepting OCs but I'm pretty strict on them over there. It's gonna be pretty intense down the line but right now I'm just getting it going and setting things up in story.
Oh, and also everyone be careful out there with this virus going along. You guys have probably heard it enough so I'm not gonna write much about it. Just follow the guidelines, wash your hands, buy supplies but don't panic and start fights over it like idiots and only leave home when you need to. Also make sure the sources you get involving this are credible. Remember this virus is bad but it's not anywhere near as bad as some people are making it out to be.
