Anyways, here is the next chapter of A.N.D.S.F. I hope you all enjoy the chapter. I had a blast writing this one. So, I hope you all like it as well.
Anyways, I've been getting a lot of comments asking for a specific pairing or assuming that a pairing is in place. I am going to say this now; I don't have a pairing yet. Not because I don't want to. Its just I haven't yet decided who is going to be the love interest for Naruto. There are so many characters that would mesh very well with Naruto. Anyways I decided to write each female character as if they COULD develop into a partner for Naruto. I'll just have to wait and see as I continue to write the story.

Chapter 7: The Glorious Glory Seeker
Metro City, Beat Square
Same Day, 9:30pm, With Naruto:
Nighttime in Metro City. Despite being here for over a month now, Naruto hasn't really explored Metro City's night life and what it has to offer. This all changed after obtaining the new information about Bosch's whereabouts. Once he made up his mind, he made his way back home. He bid the sisters goodbye and decided to wait for nighttime. While he took his training gear earlier in the day, he decided to try something new.
Now for one, Naruto was never known for his fashion sense, nor did he ever care for it. However, with all the times he's spent with the sisters, and combine with their love for shopping, it has caused his wardrobe to expand as well.
Once he got into his complex and into his apartment, he emerged from his room 10 minutes later with a new look. While his headband, brown/tan pouch, and sandals remained on him, he had new items. First was the mask. Similar to his teacher, Naruto had a black face mask that covered everything from the nose down. Next came the jacket. Gone was the black jacket, and now is replaced with a red zip-up sweater, with a black flame-like pattern at the bottom. With the zipper down, a black t-shirt was seen. The shirt had the kanji for kitsune placed above where his heart would be. It was also colored orange.
His hands were covered in black leather gloves, the gloves were seen to also have a sun and crescent moon design on the palms, the sun on the right and the moon on the left. Both were colored red. His orange cargo pants was replaced with combat pants. This pair of pants was also orange but had a black belt and black kneepads on it. His pouch still had all his gear. Lastly, there was something strapped to his back. What looked like a black kendo stick was actually a sheath for a sword. A chokuto to be exact.
This is Naruto's new and improved "mission" attire. His outfit was heavily influence by his old teammates. With the face mask and gloves paying tribute to both Kakashi-sensei and Sakura respectfully. The chokuto and the glove's design were a tribute to Sasuke and also himself. He really missed the red and black cloak that he once used. So, when he saw a sweater with a similar design, you better believed he purchased it.
With this new outfit, he not only can hide his identity, but his stealth, which was already really good before, was overall improved as well. For now, as he begins to head out, he kept his face mask down. It would've made him stick out more than if he had it on. He leaves the complex through the main entrance and made his way first to Beat Square. While making his way, Naruto begins to think back to what Luke told about the night life. Naruto, before heading home, paid Luke a visit to give an update on Bosch's status and possibly advice on how to handle the streets during the night.
Flashback, 6:30pm, Luke's gym:
When Naruto entered the gym, he was notified that Luke was heading home a little early today due to a lack of "advance" students. Knowing Luke, that meant that he didn't feel like teaching newbies the right way to ball their fists, or how to avoid breaking a foot after landing a kick. Naruto thanked the receptionist and made his way towards the locker rooms. Here we see Luke almost ready to leave. He was sitting down with his street attire, holding a duffle bag on his shoulder, still looking at his phone.
"Hey Luke." Naruto walks up to him. Luke hearing his name, looked up and immediately put on a smile. "Hey Naruto. What are you doing here at this hour? I thought today you were with Chun Li?" Since Naruto essentially enrolled in their classes at the same time, all three sat down and worked on a schedule.
"Actually, I came by to let know about something. It's related to Bosch." The smiles were gone. This was serious and Luke knew it. Naruto began with explaining on what he did, his encounter with the Canary Crate Gang, what the boss told him of Bosch, and finally the meeting as to where and when it's happening. After his explanation, Luke began to think, resting his chin on his hand.
"Man, that's a lot. What is he doing? Anyways, if you want to try and intercept him, I'm not going to stop you. I would've love to join you and possibly crack some Mad Gear skulls, but Guile needs me to go on a joint mission with him overseas." That sucks, while Naruto wasn't expecting Luke to help, this does mean that he won't be here for more in-person advice afterwards.
He then looks at Naruto. "Listen Naruto," he got serious again, "The city's not the … friendliest place at night. I normally wouldn't recommend anyone to walk around without a care in the world at night." He pauses, getting up from his sitting position, before continuing,
"However, I know you Naruto. Your practically a graduate already of my course. All we need is an assessment or two before I can declare that. Your strong, but don't let that strength cloud your humanity. Watch your step and be wary of everyone. Not just for your own safety, but for normal citizens as well. " Despite knowing some of what he is saying, Naruto is glad that Luke is giving this talk.
"I don't know if this is considered bad, but I see you as a close friend Luke. I thank you for being concerned for me. I will be careful, I promise." Naruto flashes his foxlike smile at Luke. Luke smiled in returned. He adjusted his bag and began to head for the doors of the locker room.
He pauses before turning his head to Naruto, "When I'm done in Nayshall, perhaps we can set up some time to hang out. A new game was released, and I could use a partner. What do you say?" He asks. Naruto, a little surprised about the invitation, nodded his head, "Sure, we can do that." Luke smiled, before opening the door to head out.
"I'll call you later. And remember, don't be afraid to shoot me a text. See you around Naruto." With that, Luke left. Leaving Naruto in the locker room alone.
Flashback Ends, Back with Present Naruto:
As Naruto arrives at his destination, the last of the memory finished. He'll have time to play with Luke later, right now, he has more important things to deal with. Now he would've just headed straight for the location of the deal, but he came to Beat Square for one reason.
Only it appears they are la-"Yo, Naruto! Sorry that I'm late, I forgot some equipment." It was Zack. He was making his way towards Naruto, dress in all black, with a hood on as well. He had on the same backpack he did the first time they ever met.
Now some would wonder why Zack was here, the truth was that Naruto forgot that tonight was the night they were going to, what was it again, "Collab". Zack was going to live stream again in Metro City, visiting some street performers, and wanted Naruto around to both protect him, and also to help promote him.
Having completely forgotten about it until he left Luke's gym, he had to quickly explain that he was unable to do it, however, after telling him that he was seeking out Mad Gear Gang, Zack not only insisted but begged Naruto to let him go with him. It turns out that Zack thought it would "content gold" to see some old gang members receive a well-deserved beating.
"Hey Zack, I also just got here so do worry. You ready?" While not late, Naruto was in a rush to get there on time. Zack then took out a camera, placed it on the table before messing around with it "Hold on I haven't started my stream yet. Give me like 5 minutes to do an intro and then I'll be done." Sighs, Naruto really hoped he was kidding.
"Listen Zack are you sure you want to come along. It can get dangerous. " Naruto asked again, he wasn't entirely sure if this was a good idea, Zack has no experience with fighting. Zack nodded his head, "Very sure, this is going to be a great thing for both of us. I get my content, and you get to put yourself on the map!" Zack states now opening his backpack to check on the tech inside it.
Naruto rubs his head, "And why do I need to do that again?" Naruto wasn't entirely sure if he liked the idea yet. His abilities were still very much not at maximum capacity. While he is more than capable of facing some of the elites here, he isn't even close yet to his original form.
*Sigh*"Naruto, that time you fought those Mad Gear members to protect me our first day was not only very popular for my stream, but you started to earn fans. Just last stream, when I mentioned you, more people tuned in to learn about you. You have fans, admirers. All fighters, whether it be up-incoming ones or established need some publicity. I know you aren't the most tech savvy, but I can help you with that." He states, hoping to get his point across. "This world is evolving. With more access to the internet, people are able to learn more, connect with each other, and seek entertainment. Fame can do wonders for someone, especially for someone like you. If you get more famous, you can have more influence, and do a lot of good with it."
Despite at first not liking it, as Naruto continued to hear Zack speak, he started to agree. Even back in his time, those that had fame and support were able to move mountains. Naruto also knew that it was his own fame and fans that let him become the symbol of peace for his time.
Nodding his head, he looks back at Zack, "Alright Zack, you got me. I'll let you tag along." With a "Yes" from Zack, he continue to set up to go live.
:"Alright, for now though, I'll simply introduce myself and then you. Do you prefer to go by name, or do you want a stage name?" A stage name. Hmm, well for some protection, Naruto didn't see any harm in that, "Sure I would like a nickname. Do you have one in mind?' He looks at Zack, who begins to think, "Honestly, a good nickname needs to be noteworthy. For your style I think it needs to sound badass, also I think it should only be one word…." As they continue to think, Naruto remembered a certain friend of his that he could use.
"How about, Kurama." Since he was doing a tribute of his teammates, why not also give tribute to his lifelong partner. "Kurama, I like that! Good name. Ok, so let me change the title… readjust the sound, aaaand done! Alright we are going live in three, two, …" With that Zack begin to introduce himself again to his viewers.
Zack made sure to angle the camera away from Naruto so to keep him hidden. "What is up my beautiful gamers! I am here live in Beat Square once again. Now before we begin, I do have a special announcement." He cues Naruto to get closer. Naruto did as he was told, first placing the mask on, and then appearing next to Zack.
"Now, many of you may have remember that man who came in and protected from getting beaten. Well, a lot of you wanted him to make an appearance again, so here his is!" Naruto is now in the middle of the shot; he also sees a screen next to the camera that have messages moving at a rapid pace. He takes a peak at the viewer icon.
"Wow, there are a lot of people here. *Ahem* Hello everyone if you are wondering, yes, I'm friends with Za-Barracuda here. Anyways my name is private, so please call me Kurama." Over 8,000 people were watching them right now! He new Zack was somewhat famous but that is ridiculous.
Zack came back into frame, "As the title suggests, Naruto is going into the underbelly of this city! As he takes on some gangs and cleans up the streets, we'll be tagging along watching him go to town on these punks. Once I place you all on my shoulder, Notifications and donos will be turned off. I'll get to them towards the end of the stream. Anyways, after that, we'll be visiting some local street performers before calling it a stream." Zack continues on before finally setting the camera on his shoulder and they began to head out.
Metro City, Alley Mad Gear's Street,
9:45pm, With Naruto:
Woah, what happened here? After getting slightly held back, Naruto has finally made it to the location of the deal. Before turning the corner on the street, Zack broke off from Naruto, getting a better vantage point on the roofs. As Naruto made his way closer and closer, he was expecting some gang members to meet him halfway, yet as soon as he got to the ladder that was going to the base, He say a lot of bodies.
From what he can see, none were dead. All of them were breathing, but almost all showed signs of a beating. Did Bosch do all this. What are you up to? Before he can continue, he hears a scream,
"Where is that bastard. *GRRR* Mad Gear! Find that boy, he couldn't have gotten fa-". A masculine voice was heard as several members of the gang began to appear.
"You there! Your with him aren't you. Well, at least the boss will get one of you. Boys take care of this punk." All of the gang members wearing cardboard boxes began to charge at Naruto, who immediately got into his stance.
One gang member threw a diving kick at him, which Naruto simply ducked under it, than knocked away the punch of another member, before using his knee to block a kick from a third. He then threw a back elbow at the first gang member that did the dive kick, knocking him down, before using the same leg he block the third guys attack to land a side kick on gang member 2. He then came back to the third guy, blocking his punch with his forearms, before grabbing the extended arm and throwing him into two trashcans, breaking them.
When the first guy began to get up again, Naruto landed a jaw-breaking high knee, sending the gang member super high into the air. Before hitting the ground, Naruto grabbed the leg of the guy he just hit and threw him hard at two other gang members that tried to jump him from behind. The second guy, who this time pulled out a knife, swiped at Naruto's head, which Naruto caught. Trying to break out of his iron grip, Naruto then crushed the wrist, getting the gang member to drop the knife, and then landing a kick to the thigh, before using the same kick to hit his head, sending him flying into a chain-link fence.
Four more members appear, but right as Naruto was going to continue, a female voice was heard out loud, "Mad Gear! Stop." A blonde female, wearing a red headband, black chocker, a red swimsuit top, blue hot pants, black leggings, and high black boots, was leading over 15 other Mad Gear members towards Naruto.
"Hey punk, are you with this Bosch guy? You got something going with him?" Ok at least this one is more civilized. Naruto knew that he was probably going to win if everyone was going to fight, but he really needed to learn more about what's going on first. "I heard of him, so what if I am?" He states staring into her eyes.
Almost like she knew that challenging him now was not going to end well, she began to take out her phone, "Man, whatever," she paused before showing Naruto her screen, which had a picture of a very expensive looking bag, "That Bosch guy was carrying a bag that looked like this, right. This is something very valuable that belongs to us. And HE stole it." Why would Bosch steal from them? He didn't seem like the thieving type. "So, you're going to help track him down for us and get him to bring it back, safe." She pauses, before looking at him from head to toe, " If you don't know him, then you are gonna have to do us a favor. I want you to help us get back what's ours. You better get it soon, or else all of Mad Gear will turn you into nothing but PIG SLOP. YOU HEAR ME!" She gets into his face to try and scare him, but to her shock, it wasn't working.
"Listen, lady, I may be fairly new here, but you don't scare me. I'll tell you what. I get that bag back, you'll tell me everything you know about Bosch, ok? Need I remind you that your boys weren't exactly winning against me just now." Its true and she hated to admit it. Despite trying to hide it, she was a little scared at how easily he was dealing with them.
"*Auugrh* Fine, but you got exactly three days. You hear me, THREE. DAYS. Don't have it by then, deals off." She says her piece before backing off and waving her gang away. She looks back at Naruto, " You better hope that it comes up soon, or you'll never have a peaceful day again. Now, get out!". With that, she climbs the ladder leading to the rooftops.
With that, Naruto begins to walk away, not before some members tried to scare him before they two were forced to eat asphalt. Once he got out of Mad Gear's Street, he waits for a bit, before he sees Zack climbing down a fire escape from a nearby building.
"Damn man, talk about a beating, I know that it appears that you solved it diplomatically, but it was still very nice to some of those assholes eat shit." He then shows his phone, which had a poll on, "Chat really was scared for you, when they saw who exactly you were picking a fight with, many betted against you. Mad Gear is very feared and powerful still." He states before putting it away.
"But look at you, walking straight into the belly of the beast, with no fear at all." Zack states, cheerfully congratulating Naruto by slapping him on the back, "I am wondering, have you ever been scared of death? I mean, that one guy pulled a knife on you." Naruto shook his head, "Damn man, I mean sure it makes for good content, but I can't lie that my heart rate increased when I saw that."
"Don't worry too much Za-Barracuda, I've beaten way stronger fighter back in Japan. I guess you can say that I was born to fight." It was entirely false, being trained since 8 years old to kill is considered taboo in this day and age.
With they began to walk away towards Beat Square, Naruto bids Zack goodbye, before heading home and figuring out what he needs to do tomorrow.
The Next Day, Beat Square, Metro City,
February 6, 2009, 10am: With Naruto:
The next day, after a bit of training in the woods outside Metro City, Naruto began his tasks for the day. Naruto decided to stay in his training gear, minus the mesh shirt and instead a white one with an orange swirl the middle. He already canceled plans with Li Fen and Chun Li as these matters were more important. Naruto made his way towards some police officers that were located just outside his complex and asked them if they have seen Bosch.
When he approached the first one, a white male that was a bit rotund he asked, "Excuse me officer, is it ok if I ask you if you've seen this person." He shows the officer Bosch's ID for the gym. "So, this is him, huh?" He opens his phone and begins to type, after a bit he receives a message, "Well, I got good news and bad news. Good news, he isn't at the morgue, so he is alive. Bad news is I've never seen him before, nor is he in our data banks." Naruto nearly face-faulted. Was this the protectors of the people?
He thanked the office before moving on to his partner, just on the other side of the street. "Well, if I was running away from the Mad Gear Gang, I'd probably head over to the Canary Crate Gang's turf in Chinatown. They aren't that strong, and they are enemies of Mad Gear. I suggest looking over there for him." With that Naruto headed back to the Canary's base on the rooftop.
The gang members, still remembering the last interaction, didn't do anything to provoke Naruto. Once he got to the rooftop, he made his way to the boss, whose name he discovered was Boluo. "Why the hell would we know where he is. I haven't seen him since yesterday. I still can't believe he raided Mad Gear. He must be insane." Well, that wasn't much help, but Naruto decided to see if they can help him with something else.
"Look Bosch took with him a bag that was very important to Mad Gear, this lady said that they want it back, do you think you can help me with that?" He took out his phone and showed him the bag, "So that's the bag that he made out with. Hmmm. I dunno where Bosch is, but I might know someone that can help you. Head over to Skywalk Lane and track down this man," he gives him a picture of a man.
"Trust me, he's perfect for this job." With that, Naruto took his leave and made his way over to Skywalk Lane.
Skywalk Lane, Metro City,
10:30am, With Naruto:
As he got to his location, he had a couple of skirmishes, mainly of gangs and drones that malfunction, but after a beat down of the first 3 groups, the rest seemed to be avoiding him. It stands to reason that despite the thrill of fighting in these people they know their limits and refuse to be embarrassed.
After a bit of walking, looking at the beautiful view of the bay, Naruto finally spotted the guy he was looking for. He was a fairly skinny guy, with a full yellow jumpsuit, a black beanie with old school googles on them. His hair was long and dyed blue near the tips, his shoes/boots were white.
Naruto approached his stand, "Hello are you Counterfeiter Leonardo?" Naruto states fairly loudly, causing the man to cringe at Naruto, "Counterfeiter? Can't say I take kindly to that particular title. Sure, I see counterfeit brand to marks vistin' from outside the cit-, ok you got me there." Well at least he's self-aware.
"Regardless, you obvious know that but still stopped by. So, how can I help?" Naruto then explains that he needs a bag and shows him the picture.
After looking at it for a bit, Leonardo speaks, "Huh. All right, consider it commissioned! This is going to be fun." Well, that was easy. Naruto then waits for the plan. " Alright, some of the materials are difficult to get. But if you are willing to help me and put in the work, I can do the rest free for you ok." So, he will do it for free so long as I get him materials. What's the catch? This is going way too smoothly. There has to be something else wrong here.
"Alright, give me your number, and I'll sent you the locations and items I need. Ok?" With that, Naruto left to go look for the items.
Skywalk Lane, Metro City
Same day, 1 hour later, With Naruto:
Ok, so there was a catch. Turns out, Leonardo wanted him to essentially take the items from random people in the streets. Now he know why it was free. Anyways, luckily, all of the items can be found on the many, many gang members in Metro City. That's what he did for most of the hour. Once he got enough items, and thinned out the population of street thugs, he made his way back to Leonardo.
"Perfect! The damages sustained will give the bag more character. I mean look at how worn out the leather is. Yes, sir this bag is going to look nice." He states, collecting the materials before looking back at Naruto. "This only leaves one thing. When I was looking into the clasp's design on the bag, I noticed that it was handcrafted by and Artisan in Italy." Naruto face faulted. ITALY! He has to go to Italy to get that stupid clasp. "Don't worry, there is a festival there and she will be present at the Colosseo. I pulled some strings and she agreed to meet you."
Ok, that solves one problem. "I'm sorry to say this but you are going to have to find a way to get there. I hope its no problem.?" Naruto recovers from the face-faulting before responding, "No, no, its fine. I actually just got something perfect for that." He won't say but he recently went into one of the biggest casinos in Metro City and won a 10 year all exclusive private jet for an unlimited uses between then.
His luck with the sinful games is unreal and he loves it.
He bids Leonardo farewell and begins to head home to begin packing for the plane ride to Italy.
Colosseo, Italy,
February 7, 2009, 12pm, with Naruto:
The Monthly Gladiator Festival is an event that was recently been a part of the regular schedule for the Colosseo. From all around the world, fans of this ancient form of entertainment gather to watch some of Rome's best modern-day gladiators duke it out. This is where we find Naruto. He is currently being dropped off at the Colosseo by his taxi.
The Colosseo, is arguably the most respected tourist spot ever in Italy. It was only made more famous by the Gladiator Festival held every month. Apparently, the person that runs the festival is a very wealthy and respected woman who also participates in the main events.
While admiring the beauty of the building, Naruto made his way inside. When he joined what appeared to be the line for the guests, a random guy, holding a clip board and a radio walked up to him.
"Hey your Kurama, correct?" How did thi- oh right. To keep his identity a secret, he told Leonardo his name was Kurama. Naruto can only assume this man works for the artisan that he was meeting today. "Yes, I am". The man talks into his radio in Italian before motioning Naruto to follow him.
Naruto was taken into a different part of the Colosseo, one where other men and women who appeared to be fighters, were gathered. They were in a large locker room, with two doors on each side leading to a male and female changing room/bathroom. This room was full of lockers, and it also had well-sculpted statues of famous Greek and Roman gods.
The same man that guided Naruto, stood in front of everyone to get their attention. "Alright everyone. As you all know, the main event today is slightly different from the rest. The Glory Seeker, the one that makes this festival possible, is hosting a new type of match, where the reward is the hand in marriage with them." Eyes widen, heart stopped. Naruto couldn't believe what he just heard. No, this was a mistake, he was only here to meet the Artisan.
What the hell did that stupid counterfeiter do!? Before he panics again, he hears cheers and whistles from the men and women.
"Now, in each of your lockers, there is a Uniform that all contestants must wear to participate. Once everyone is changed, we will begin the event. Everyone will enter in pairs, with each pair given a chance to defeat a random opponent, beat the opponent, and you then face each other off for the hand and marriage of The Glory Seeker!" Panic, began to consume Naruto, he had to get out of here. Before he could even make a break for the door, the man again spoke out.
"Of course, The Glory Seeker is also the most talented Artisan today, meaning that the winner will not only receive her hand in marriage, but also a random project of her own creation.
Why. Why can't things be simple! Leonardo, you are so getting it when I get back to Metro City. Of course, the Artisan is the one that also wants marriage. Why wouldn't they be.
With that, Naruto knew that he had to stay. He went to his locker and pulled out the uniform. It was a spartan set of armor, with the helmet, chest plate, a belt with metal pieces acting like a curtain, a cloth skirt like bottom wear, metal arm guards, a shield, and a Javelin. "FYI, for my men and women, you can choose to keep the chest piece off, I only state that for my ladies, please keep your sport bras on. Everyone needs to keep the helmet on. And also, NO SHOES, either traditional sandals, or foot wrappings if you must wear something." The man states explaining the dos and don'ts with the uniform. With that, everyone began to change. Women and men went into their respected changing rooms, before coming out in their new gear.
Naruto himself decided to forgo the chest-piece, deciding to go topless. He also didn't take his shield nor his Javelin. Reluctantly, he removed his sandals since he was told his were too modern. Decided to forgo the other sandal and instead put on foot/ankle wraps. When everyone was done, the same man paired them up. He continued to make pairs until he called out, "Kurama!" Naruto stepped up, "Alright I see that you are going without the chest piece, bold if I do say so, now since we are uneven, you will not get a partner, if you win the battle, you will then have to face off against the Glory Seeker herself. Got it?" Naruto nodded before being placed at the very end of the line.
What followed the next hour and half were fights between the challengers, and any of the random opponents, both man and beast. It was not a lucky day for the challengers. Not a single one won their match. Finally, it was Naruto's turn. The man with the clip board then took Naruto to the entrance of the Colosseo arena and told him good luck. As Naruto walked out, the previous two were seen limping back into the tunnel.
Once Naruto left the tunnel, the crowd, mainly the ladies, were cheering him on. From their point of view, Naruto's body was extremely chiseled. While his muscles weren't too big, they were very defined and hard. Leading to some… extra reactions from the women in the crowd.
An announcer was then heard, "So far, No one has been able to win today. For the final challenger today, he comes all the way from Metro City, KURAMA!" Naruto raised his arm up as he looked around the stadium, leading to loud claps. The Announcer than continued, "His opponent today, He is undefeated with 15 wins in a row today, let me hear the crowd, LUCIUS, THE LION!" The crowd exploded. Cheers and screams were all that Naruto could hear. from what he was told, this particular lion was the pet of The Glory Seeker and is one of if not the most difficult opponent any of the challengers could've faced.
On the other side of the tunnel, a gate was lifted, and out came a MASSIVE LION. Normally, Lions are about 3-4ft standing on all fours, this lion in particular was standing at a shocking 6ft tall on all fours. Its massive black mane was also adding more volume and size into the mix. Around its neck was a collar like accessory that had long spikes on it. The lion also had a golden crown on his head, just above the eyes. This lion was fear and intimidation incarnated.
Its loud low growl was heard as he began to get closer to Naruto. "Alright now, the rules are simple, the first one to pin the other and hold them their for 5 seconds, wins. Are the fighters ready!" The lion lets out a mighty roar, signaling that he is ready.
Staring into Naruto's eyes, it was challenging him to hold his ground. Naruto knew that once he locked eyes, he wouldn't look away, since looking away was a sign of weakness to alpha like animals. Instead of getting ready, he takes one step forward towards the lion, getting a growl sent in his direction. Then, he decided to release some of his K.I. Definitely not enough to be super noticeable, but just enough to create an air around him.
Naruto then took another step, than another, and another. The lion let out a snarl like roar, no longer moving closer, but instead lower his body in a pouncing motion. Naruto then got into the face of the lion and all he was doing was staring into its eyes. You are no longer the alpha around here kitten. Naruto then back up slightly and got into a fighting stance. Signaling that he was ready as well.
"Well won't you look at that, no fear is seen on the Challenger's face. With that, let the final round of the event, BEGIN." A medieval style was horn blown to signal the start of the match.
The lion moved first. It pounce about a dozen feet into the air, closing the distance between them in one leap. Its claws were bared as it was fully intended on using its size and weigh to pin Naruto down. Naruto though was too quick to get trapped. He dived out of the way, but once he saw the lion land, he sprinted at the lion, then shoulder tackled him like one of the American football players. The Lion roared at the hit and was sent rolling back several dozen feet on its side.
The crowd, who were at first shocked, quickly began to cheer at the now very interesting fight. "WOW. Not only is Kurama elusive, but he also appears to have the power as well! Stay in your seat's folks, WE HAVE A MATCH." Every time challengers faced Lucius; they lose before they could even blink. So, to see someone not only avoid him, but also return a hit with force, was a total shock.
The lion recovered, getting back into his pouncing stance, letting another roar. He then stared at Naruto. Naruto, deciding to play into the role, held his hands out, almost like he was waiting to catch, he lower his stance a bit as well.
"Well, Lion, I'm here. SO COME AND GET ME!" He release a little more K.I. to make his challenge more threatening. The lion didn't hesitate. Instead of leaping, it began to sprint at Naruto. Naruto then, to the shock of everyone did the same thing. When they were about to clash, at the last moment, Naruto slide on his back, getting under the lion, then he planted his two hands on the ground, lifting his legs to his chest, and then launched a double kick to the underbelly of the lion. This sent the lion up in the air, but Naruto followed after it, continuously kicking him in the air. Eventually after a couple of kicks, they were both roughly 25-30ft in the air. He then maneuvered around the Lion so that Naruto was now over him. Naruto raised his leg up in the air and brought down on the top of the lion's head, finishing the with, "Kurama's Barrage!". The Lion was sent flying back down, slamming against the floor of the arena. It appeared to of been knocked out, as it wasn't moving, but still was seen breathing.
Naruto then landed just a couple feet away, he then placed his foot on top of the lions back, essentially pinning the beast. With his hands raised, the horn sounded, ending the round. The Crowd was shocked. No one has even come close to defeating Lucius today. When the shocked settled, cheers and claps were all was heard all throughout the arena stands.
"INCREDIBLE! With a great display of strength, speed, and technique, KURAMA HAS WON THE ROUND!" more cheers and screams were heard after the announcer made the win official. Naruto got off the lion. And walked back towards the center of the arena. Basking in the cheers of the crowd. He isn't going to lie, he kind of missed this.
"ALRIGHT then folks. Its time for the !" The Crowd continue to go crazy as the announcer stated it. " Since Kurama has defeated his opponent, and doesn't have a partner, to win the final round, Naruto must now face the very person who started all of this, please welcome, THE GLORY SEEKER, MARISA!" after that, the gate that Lucius came out of rose again, telling Naruto that is where not only his opponent, but also the reason he came here to begin with.
As the crowd continues to show their enthusiasm, Naruto was getting impatient. He really wanted to get this over with. But wasn't going to lie, he was interested in seeing the type of woman that was both interested in organizing this festival, but also participate in it. She had to be strong.
Then he saw her. His eyes widen in pure shock. Strong was beginning to look like an understatement. She was tall, standing well over 6ft 5in. She is definitely the tallest women he has ever seen. She had red hair the appeared to be cut to resemble the same spartan helmet she has in her hand. Her outfit consisted of a black and gold sports bra, a golden chain on her neck, black and gold padded leather fingerless gloves, a black battle skirt that was held in place by a golden belt, red wrappings on her wrists and ankles, and lastly black padded foot and ankle protectors.
Now she definitely looks the part of a warrior with her outfit, but one key feature about her, other her height, was her build. Now he's seen his fair share of beefy fighters in his past. The Raikage and his brother, Octopops, were some examples, but he has NEVER seen any female that looked like this women standing at the entrance. She makes THOSE two look skinny. Her shoulders, her arms, legs, and chest were very defined. He was certain that her bicep was bigger than his own head! Her bare feet, arms, and legs rippled with every movement she made.
In all honestly, he was caught staring, which from Marisa's perspective, was enough to break the ice. As she grew closer, she let out a lough laugh, before looking back at Naruto, "So you must be Kurama. You defeated Lucius, huh." With a Greek accent, she began to approach the still downed Lion. She rubbed his side, trying to wake him up.
Thinking she was mad, Naruto replied, "Umm, sorry about that? I didn't mean for him to get too injured." He stated before she laughed again, Lucius slowly got up, and moved more to the side, laying on his stomach and licking his fur.
"Lucius is a clever and strong boy. He's taken beatings like that before and recovered just fine. Do worry about it, it was a match after all." She states getting back up and heading towards Naruto again. "Now then. Kurama! May you remove your helmet, I believe our match deserves a more…personal approach, don't you think?" She states, reminding him of the rewards if he was to win their match. Don't get him wrong, its not like she's ugly, but he has to say she wasn't…exactly his type. Though he sees no harm in her request, so he removed his helmet. As it came off, he realized that his hair was matted down and had sweat on it. So, as he removed it, he shook his head from side to side.
*SQUEALS* "Oh my god he's so handsome!" Many more comments and squeals were heard from the crowd as more some women began to have nosebleeds as well. A perfect body and a handsome face, count them in.
Well, isn't he a looker. Marisa can't really deny it, this Kurama guy is very attractive. She started to walk at him again, once she got close enough, she began to go around Naruto, essentially inspecting him. A little smaller than what I like, but very good definition. A good set of abs, arms and legs are nice and lean, back is very chiseled. Hmm, I think I like what I see.
Naruto on his part, felt like he was being inspected by a lioness who is waiting to sink her fangs into him. Sweat began to form as well as a light blush as she also places her hand on his back, and rubs his shoulder, before moving back to standing in front him.
"I must say, I was hesitant at first. You seemed a little small for my normal tastes." Small? I'm not small! She's just way too big. Ouch. Note, Naruto doesn't like being called small, "However, I know Lucius, and it takes real strength to defeat him. So, I will give you a chance. If you can defeat me, I promise you won't regret the reward." You have my hopes up Kurama, please do not disappoint. She then steps back further, motioning the announcer to begin the next match.
"Good luck Kurama, may our match be fun, and our future secured!" With a smile, she moves towards Lucius, rests her helmet next to him, before coming back to the center. The announcer took this as his cue to begin the introduction.
"ALRIGHT! It is time for the main event! This challenger, who came from Metro City, has earn the right to face off against Marisa." The crowd begins to get loud, "Now, the rules are simple, this will be a straight up brawl, all and any techniques, forms, and Chi attacks are allowed. The winner is the one that knocks the opponent down and they stay down for 10 seconds. First fighter the does it, wins!" Ok, seems straight forward. I just have to brawl and keep her down.
"Will our challenger finally be the one to win that ever elusive prize, or will Marisa, continue her reign of dominance at the Colosseo. Are the fighters ready?" The announcer asks. Marisa gets into traditional Pankration stance, Naruto follows suit getting into his own personal stance, a combination of Wing Chun and Sanda. "I, Marisa, am ready!" She states clashing her fists together before returning to her form. Naruto, seeing that he needed to do something, readjusted his pose a couple of times, going through a series of slow-moving chops, "I, Kurama am ready as well!". Finishing his statement, he returns to his original stance.
"LET THE FINAL ROUND, BEGIN!" the horn from before was heard once again, signaling the beginning of their match.
Marisa made the first move. She immediately channeled Chi into her fist and did a light jump before throwing the punch downwards towards Naruto. Naruto jumped backwards in time before it landed. What he wasn't expecting was that she was able to close the gap afterwards, by again, channeling Chi into her leg, and lunging forward with a front kick. Naruto placed his arms in front to protect but was still send sliding back on his feet. Steam was seen floating away from Naruto's arm guards. Damn, that actually hurt to block. Those muscles really weren't just for show. I will need to match that. Naruto was genuinely surprised at the force she hit him with. While not as strong as Sakura, it was still a lot.
Meanwhile, Marisa, began to analyze what see has seen so far, Impressive, he not only dodged my Phalanx, but also braced for my Quadriga as well. This is going be fun.
"Ha, Ha, Ha, Hah! I hope you are planning to attack soon because I am just getting started!" She began to channel Chi again, this time it was for her signature, Gladius punch. Once she gathered the max, she lunged forward, clearing the distance between then very quickly.
Alright, she isn't hold back now. If I'm right, her body can take some hits. Let's see how far along my own physical body has recovered. Naruto didn't have the most raw strength, but he was deceptively strong. He channeled Chakra throughout his body and lunged forward as well, both their fists clashed as they met each other halfway.
A loud crash was heard, it sounded almost like a car accident, a shockwave was also released when both of their fists connected, startling Lucius, who was knocked onto his back after trying to withstand it. When neither back down, both staring deeply into each other's eyes in the spirit of the battle, Naruto pulled back and threw another. She did the same, their fists once again clashed, making a loud sound again, but not nearly as strong. This continued for the next few clashes, neither was giving the other an inch. However, due to his speed and agility, Naruto was eventually getting the upper hand in their melee. For every punch they clash, Naruto snuck lighter, quicker chops and palm strikes to her body, effectively trying to wear her down.
Marisa realized this too, so she switched tactics, she gets into a defensive stance, placing both arms on either side of her face. Naruto decided to aim low and go for a gut check, but when his attacked connected, she reacted almost immediately, landing a sweeping kick which caused Naruto to stumble, giving Marisa enough time to channel Chi again, and began her combo, She first threw a low uppercut, Naruto bracing for the hit, placed his arms in front of the attack in an x-shape, only for her fist to break through landing a hit right on his chest, sending him into the air, however, he didn't get too high, before she brought her second fist in a downward hammer punch, sending him back into the ground hard enough to bounce off of it, before receiving a enhance spartan kick to the side, sending him in the away from Marisa for about 15ft.
Many thought the fight would be over, Not only was that all of her most powerful techniques, but she also wasn't holding back. "And down he goes! Ladies and Gentlemen, what else were you expecting. This match looks to be over." Marisa began to walk towards Naruto, wanting to make sure she didn't do any permanent damage. *Sigh* And here I thought I found the right one. Naruto was face down, and not moving, she was now standing over him, getting ready to lean down, as the announcer got number 4.
When her shadow moved over his head, Naruto's eyes sprung open, while laying down, he rotated his body, landing a double sweeping kick, not expecting it, Marisa was still able to catch herself with one knee and arm, however, while she did that, Naruto followed, though, spinning around while getting up, than lunged forward with a high knee. It connected with her face, sending her flying back nearly as far as she did him. She finished sliding, ending with her facing the sky and breathing heavily.
"WOW! the challenger Kurama just landed a vicious attack on Marisa; this match is still on!" The crowd began to cheer again, this glorious match has not ended yet. Marisa open her eyes again, and stood up again, however, she only got to one knee before she began to spit blood. She raised her head to show that blood was coming from her mouth. She then wiped it off with her wrist. Dear god, that hurt really bad. H-how does he not have even a single bruise?! As she looked back at Naruto, she was looking at the areas where she connected her attacks. No signs of damage was seen at all, he didn't even seem fazed at all! It's almost like he wasn't hit at all.
The announcer got to number 6 before Marisa, got up and stood on her two feet, albeit a bit wobbly. "Both fighters have landed a knockout blow, now the game has changed to who has more left in the tank!" It was true, despite knowing she can take more, she was tired from all the lighter hits that Naruto landed on her during their melee. She was not built for long battles, and she knows it. The longer this fight goes, the more likely she will drop due to exhaustion. She needed to end this right now.
She got into her stance, gathering Chi all around her body, but mainly focusing on her fist again. " I must say Kurama, you have been my toughest opponent yet, let's end this with one last attack!" She was getting one of her favorite finishers, The Javelin of Marisa, charged and was fully intended on landing it. While she knew Naruto could try and dodge it, she needed to take the risk to end the fight now.
Naruto got into his stance from the beginning as well. She's right. This will end here, but not how she intends. The crowd was sitting at the edge of their seats, this was it, the potential end of the best match in a long time.
"HERE I COME!" She finished channeling her Chi and rushed at Naruto's direction. Naruto also channeled Chakra into his body and charged at her as well. This was looking like how they first clashed at the beginning of the fight. She launched her fist at Naruto, fully intending on Naruto to do the same. However, Naruto once again pulled the rug right from under her. Instead of following through, he pulled his fist back, and pivoted on his back foot, causing the fist to just barely fly past his head, while still spinning, Naruto gathered Chakra into his elbow and connected right in the diaphragm o Marisa.
She only saw stars when the attack landed, she once again caught herself on her knees before sensing energy from behind her, she gather Chi in her other arm, spun on her knee fully intending on matching the attack. As she spun around, it was too late, a blue orb of energy, was seen in Naruto's hand, it was roughly 4ft in diameter and was glowing in a blue energy, before the attack landed, she heard Kurama state, "Sorry about this, RASENGAN!" the Rasengan hit her right in the chest, A violent whirlwind of wind and shockwaves was sent, she was sent flying backwards with the attack still grinding away at her chest. When her back hit the walls of the arena, a spider crack with the imprint of her body was seen as the attacked exploded.
When the smoke cleared, she was firmly imbedded into the wall, before falling out of it, and landing face-first onto the arena ground. The Announcer, who was so amazed at what he witness, forgot to start the count, and thus began it. "IN-INCREDIBLE! I have never seen an attack like that. MARISA is down, I repeat, MARISA is down, 1! 2! 3!" The announcer started to count, however, at the same time , Marisa opened her eyes. Moving her arms to her side, she tried to push up, but her arms felt so weak, they were shaky, and eventually, she fell again onto the ground. She rolled so that her back was not lying on the ground, the whole arena got a glimpse of the vicious looking mark on her sports bra. A big spiral shape marking was seen where the attack hit her.
She rested on her elbows, desperately trying to find the strength to get up, however, by the time the announcer yelled the number 9, she gave up deciding to just lay down and breathe in and out. I, I lost. Heh, even though he beat me, I can't help but like him more. The announcer yelled 10, signaling the end of he match. "WHAT A STUNNING UPSET. Marisa's winning streak at the Colosseo has officially been BROKEN!" The crowd, who were extremely shocked at the ending, now began to cheer for the new champion of the Gladiator Festival. "Congratulation Kurama, you won the gladiator festival main event. Please join up here for your ceremony." Naruto did as he was told.
For the next hour, Naruto was seen taking pictures with his new fans, some even congratulated him on his marriage. This continued well until the end of the festival.
Colosseo, Italy,
Inside the main Locker Room,
3pm, with Naruto:
All of the fighters that once populated this place had gone and left. Leaving only one locker still open. Here, we catch our blonde hero, stepping out of the male's bathroom, with a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair and skin had visible moisture on it.
*Phew* "What a day…" Naruto never would've expected the day to go how it did. For one, participating and winning a fighting competition wasn't on the list. Nor was earning the right to marry the very person he came all the way too Italy for.
Naruto then shuddered. Right, he still has to deal with that problem. The whole reason he stayed in the locker room for as long as he did was so that he can have some alone time to think of a way to worm his way out it. He can't simply say no to the marriage proposal, at the same time, he doesn't want to be married to someone that he doesn't even know!
While he thinks on it, he begins to take out his normal clothes. The announcer told him that the armor set was his to keep. Not wanting to be disrespectful, he accepted it. Naruto grabs his boxers and pants and began to put them on. With the towel, he used it to dry his hair. All of this kept him occupied, before the sound of the locker room door being open, and a female voice was heard in the locker room, "Ah ha. There you are Kurama." Oh no. It was Marisa, she still had her own battle gear on and was making her way towards Naruto, while carrying a bag with her stuff in it.
Naruto began to sweat. Turning around, all he can do was awkwardly wave at her, "Heeeyy Marisa, w-what are you doing here at this hour?" He maneuvered hmself so that he was now in the middle of locker row as she continued to get closer. "What do you mean, I was looking for you of course…" She then walks closer to him, closing the distance between them, she then leaned in so that their faces were a couple of inches apart, "Afterall, we much too plan!" She then wrapped her arms around him, picking him up as if he weighed nothing, tightening her embrace of him, keeping is face up against her chest.
"I just contacted my grandmother today right after our match, she had two other suitors in mind, but since you came in the picture, she has now shifted her attention to the wedding." She then placed him down, which Naruto was thankful for since he was struggling to breathe.
"I already have my dressed picked out. Now we need to find something for you, do you want to appear in a suit, or rather in a set of armor? Also, I will need your opinion of what flavor of cake we should order, oh and we should also look at a guest list. And we can't forget the venue, I was thinking of hosting it right here in the Colosseo…" Like a crazed bride to be, she was already motor-mouthing different questions related to the ceremony. Naruto's head began to spin, "Umm, you sure seemed to have a lot planned out." Marisa looked at Naruto as he stated it, he was seen lightly scratching his right cheek, as sweat began to form on his forehead.
"Of course, I have. I wanted to get married for some time now. I wanted to have EVERYTHING planned out so I can spend the next few months getting to know my future husband," She then looks back at him, getting a teasing look in her eyes, as she moves forward, Naruto starts backpedaling, before his back hit the back wall of the locker room, he tries to move to his left, but Marisa's hand blocks Naruto from moving on either side. She the leans down, causing Naruto to gulp.
"Which reminds, me," Marisa then uses one of her hands to lean Naruto's head up by his chin, "We haven't even introduced ourselves on a personal matter yet." Her eyes become half-lidded, as she begins to lean downwards, the height difference between them was almost comical, "I must say, you didn't exactly fit my dream suitor, but I do like a strong body. And it also helps that you are look very tasty." She states as we continues to hold Naruto face in place with her fingers.
Naruto has never encountered a moment where he needed to reveal his jutsu too someone, and he was really hoping to keep it that way, but RIGHT now, he really considered using the Substitution jutsu. This was moving way too fast! She clearly has no problem with it, but he definitely wasn't ready yet.
Right as their lips were to connect, Marisa stopped. She backed up and began to laugh. "Ha, Ha, Ha. You should see the look on your face!" Naruto was left speechless. "Don't get me wrong Kurama, you are still a very tasty looking piece of man that I would love to taste, but I was just having some fun now." She then backed up, and began to grab a towel, wiping away the left-over loose dirt from her face.
All Naruto could do was utter a simple, "Eh…". Marisa then turned around and began to take stuff out of her bag, "I knew you didn't enter the festival with the intention of marrying me. I received a list of the fighters for today, each one had a comment section where they were told to propose themselves to me, or try to butter me up," Then then begins to slip out of her gear, without caring that Naruto was still in the room.
Naruto seeing that her bare back was beginning to expose itself, he looked away, " When I got to you, I saw none of that, so it told me right then and there that you came here for a different reason." She then removed her skirt, revealing that yes, she did have underwear, before grabbing another towel and wrapping it around herself.
Naruto, seeing that she was now covered, coughed in his hand to recover his train of thought before explaining, "T-that's correct. I actually came here so that I can get some of your artisan work." He explains, also relaxing his body again. She then nods, before walking closer, " I see. So, you are interested in my hobby. No worries, what were you looking to obtain?" Naruto then showcased the picture of the bag he had with him, but mainly pointing at the buckle design.
She leans in to get a good look, "Oh I see. That particular design was actually one of my first ever works to be mass produced. I took great pride in that since it was the first time anyone showed love for my work." She then dug into her bag for a few moments, before taking out the medallion she wore during their fight. "Here she is, I stop making that particular design a while ago, however, I kept one on me as to remember my first success." She then looks at Naruto, before beginning to play with it.
"Normally, I'd be worried about who I give it too. It's supposed to represent someone that is considered a true warrior. However, after our fight today, I can safely say that you've earned it." She then motions Naruto to get close so that she can hand it over. As he got close and moved his hand to grabbed it, she pulled it back.
"However, I do ask you of one thing." She then goes to one of the benches in the middle of the row, motioning Naruto to follow her and sit down. Once they both sat down, she began once again.
"While I was joking about the whole, marrying you on the spot, I wasn't lying about growing interested in you. Power and strength, regardless of appearance, are what really get my going," Naruto gets nervous again as she gains that look in her eye again, "You Kurama, have done something that no other man has done yet. Even if we don't grow close enough to marry, I still really want us to continue talking." Oh, this is something that Naruto can get behind.
She continues again, "I know based on your style that Pankration may not be for you, but I really want to continue our matches. So, if I give you this medallion, will you promise to visit every once and awhile. Who knows, maybe even in a couple of months, we really will form something nice." She states before slapping his bare back a little too hard, startling him.
Coughing into his hand, he recomposed himself responded, " I would really like that, Marisa. Sorry about not really being interested in marrying you, its just not something I have planned in my near future." While he was grateful things weren't that serious yet, he did feel bad that he essentially rejected her.
"Ha, Ha, Ha, hah. Don't worry about it Kurama. Like I said, all I want is for us to stay friends. I have a good feeling that knowing you will be a lot of fun." She states while flashing her smile. Naruto also smiled back. Marisa then hands over the medallion, gets up, and begins to head for the women's bathroom.
"Well Kurama, it was nice meeting you, if you want, we can go grab some dinner together, I know a fantastic place just a couple of miles from here." Naruto nodded in response, she then walks back, giving him a card. "Give me a call in about 40 minutes. I can come pick you up at your hotel. My number is on the card, add me to you contacts. I'll see you soon, " Before turning around fully, Naruto stopped her.
"Actually Marisa, Kurama is my stage name. I use it to keep my identity a secret. My real name is Naruto. Naruto N. Uzumaki." She smiles at him, and he returns it. A new level of trust was form almost immediately She then begins to head back to the women's side again. "Thank you, Naruto, I'll talk to you soon!" She states before turning the corner of the restroom, leaving Naruto alone in the locker room. He finished getting dressed and began to call the taxi again to pick him up. As he made his way back to the hotel, his mind drifted back to the strong redhead he met today.
Despite the outgoing nature, she was very nice. I guess I have another friend/teacher now. With that, Naruto decided to stare out of the window, looking at the different buildings before thinking of what to wear for the dinner.
