Today was so bright and nice outside,
It helped her recent annoyance subside...
...
This sudden rhyme,
Venti must have rubbed on her, after all...
*He has been visiting her a lot recently,
Making sure there's no issue with...
"Alder Knight Frederica, let us in! You got mail!", familiar voices were suddenly heard from the direction of the nearby window, two Wind Spirits now floating behind the glass, a familiar ornate letter casket hovering between them, "Cavalry Captain Kaeya sent you a new report!"
Oh, right, she almost forgot,
It was almost time for the routine report...
*Yet, it arrived way earlier than she anticipated...
...
...
She should let them in now, it wouldn't do to have them wait,
Especially not when they agreed to help, acting as letter carriers...
*This way, not only is this still a written report,
But it's way faster than other methods of transport...
...
...
"You finally let us in!", the Wind Spirits said as soon as she let them inside, looking and sounding a little annoyed, before their eyes suddenly turned Crescent and pointing down, "...But we are glad to find out that Barbatos had such an IMPACT on you, Alder Knight Frederica~"
They soon added in great amusement, before becoming quiet once again,
As Frederica couldn't help but feel confused about them highlighting the word "Impact"...
*It's as if the word had a special meaning, one that she did not know...
...
Or they were just being playful, as they usually do a fair amount...
...
...
It was high time she checked Kaeya's report...
*And once again, skipping the formalities...
...
...
The Hydro Archon, commonly known as "Lady Focalors" to the Fontanians, is now dead.
...
This was clearly a worrying...Uh, unusual way to start the report...
*For an Archon to die, what could have happened...?
...
The Cavalry Captain surely wrote a summary of events...
...
As you are already aware, during the last few weeks, more and more people joined the rebellion, their aim to stop the Hydro Archon's killing sphere.
As no surprise to the rebellion forces and a big shock to a few rich and pompous fools, Lady Focalors began attacking indiscriminately.
...
...
"Lady Focalors is doing everyone a favor by getting rid of such disgusting rats that pollute our city."
Serves those conceited fools right, finally getting the punishment they deserve~
...
...
Somehow, we managed to conduct the perfect plan to surround and trap the Hydro Archon in a "detached location". With her access to Primordial Sea Water cut off, it became easier for us to overpower her.
Yet, since she is still an Archon, the plan wouldn't have succeeded without sacrifices on our side. Many people had died, before finally the mad Archon was slain.
This recent crisis is now known as "Carnage of the mad god", summarizing it to: "The Archon got insane and tried to murder all the Fontaine citizens, but got defeated with everyone's collective efforts.".
...
...
It honestly wasn't surprising that things ended this way...
*For an Archon to suddenly start attacking her own people,
It reminded her of a certain memory…
...
The Primordial Sea, which once existed on the surface of the planet, is now located under Fontaine.
There's a Melusine legend which states that originally, the water was crystal-clear and sparkling and was actually the place where most life in Teyvat first originated from.
Which begs the question, when did it change so drastically and why...?
...
...
Could the Hydro Archon's current rampage have something to do with the change in the water...?
*If it is, then…It's truly worrying.
...
...
Did the Hydro Archon truly go insane...?
*Or was it somehow...Really due to the change in the water...?
...
...
Alder Knight Frederica, I am sure you are now wondering wherever the Hydro Archon's sudden madness is truly the case.
Me and Diluc wondered about it too...Especially due to what happened after Lady Focalors' death and even during it.
First of all, there was no sudden power overflow as usually happens when a god is killed. Instead, her death was fairly peaceful.
Second, after the Hydro Archon's death, it suddenly started raining all over Fontaine. Even now, it has no indication of stopping.
And third, the one known as Lady Furina suddenly fell unconscious. She is now comatose and no one knows the reason why.
...
...
This was certainly weird...
*Just what was actually going on in Fontaine...?
...
Me and Diluc wondered on the reasons why it turned out this way and came to the conclusion that could explain most of it: Arlecchino, otherwise known as "Father" of the House of the Hearth and "The Knave" of the Fatui Harbringers, gave the killing blow to the Hydro Archon.
From the information I found during my time in Sumeru, this woman is a descendant of the Crimson Moon Dynasty, the first rulers of Khaenri'ah.
...But to my surprise, she didn't seem to care once she found out I am from the Alberich Clan of the Eclipse Dynasty...? All she really cared about is asking for the Hydro Gnosis in exchange for her help during the recent crisis.
...
…
"Father" of the House of the Hearth…
…
The rebellion members seem to include the "House of the Hearth" orphanage, led by someone known as "Father".
Somehow, both the place and its administrator sound highly suspicious, so I am going to look further into this. Diluc already promised to join me in my investigation.
...
...
This orphanage and its director could be affiliated with the Fatui.
*And knowing this organization, there could be a nefarious reason for them joining the rebellion.
...
Just what could the Fatui be after this time...?
...
...
It was fortunate that she didn't seem to have any animosity towards Kaeya,
But the realization that soon, the Tsaritsa is going to get yet another Gnosis...
...
...
She also told me something interesting during our last talk. Arlecchino, I mean.
Apparently, when she struck Lady Focalors with her spear, the Archon showed her a grateful smile, as if she was glad to finally be able to die.
This clearly contradicts what happened prior with her sudden rampage, as most of Fontaine sees her as a tyrant, while only a few look at the inconsistencies and say that she must have been innocent all along.
People even say that the sudden and seemingly endless rain must be due to the Hydro Archon getting revenge on the Fontanian people for getting killed!
...Similar to the Tyrant's Final Fury we had in Mondstadt, which turned out to be something entirely different...~
...
She heard a report about the Field Tiller before, yes.
*But the news of the Hydro Archon being grateful to be killed,
Could the change in the water really be the case of her sudden insanity...?
...
Perhaps, similar to what happened to Dragon of the East Durin...
...
This is not all.
Upon dying, Focalors also asked to find someone called "Neuvillette". Yet, no one in all of Fontaine seems to know who this person is. There are no records of him even existing!
All the inconsistencies that happened up until now tell me that memory manipulation must have occurred.
You understand what this means, right, Alder Knight Frederica...? To find out the truth of what recently happened and still happening in Fontaine, we need a Descender's help.
Our Honorary Knight is going to have a lot of work ahead of them. Perhaps I should prepare some kind of reward for them...? But what would be the best thing to give them, I wonder...
...Looks like Diluc has an idea or two...? He is currently looking over my shoulder and telling me to stop getting sidetracked...Looks like he doesn't have an idea, after all.
He says the best gift we can give the Traveler is getting their Twin back by their side. That's not something that can be easily done, even for me who is technically part of the Alberich clan.
...Oh, well, I will think of something else until the Traveler arrives.
Please, get them here as soon as possible. Some people are starting to get mad due to the constant rain.
