Summary:

Reginald Cornelius III has returned to Chicago for the holidays and prevents a couple of robbers from ruining Christmas for a local children's daycare.

RC can't believe the changes in his old neighborhood since he became a FLAG employee. The area was unsafe with criminal activity, and the people were scared. When RC first joined FLAG, he and the neighbors prevented a blockbusting operation with the help of Michael and KITT.

The neighborhood is now a safe and happy place where children can play without fear, neighbors exchange friendly hellos and occasionally help those less fortunate.

It's Christmas Eve during the day, and RC is relaxing at his mother's home. He's happy to be back, even if it's only for the holiday season. The smell of freshly baked sugar cookies makes RC hungry. He attempts to steal one off the baking sheet. RC's mom caught him in the act and shooed him away (after she allowed him to eat a cookie). "The cookies are for the children at the daycare," she lectured.

RC finishes the cookie and goes outside after grabbing a jacket. There's a chill in the air, indicating that snow will soon fall. He's about to head over to his father's garage when he notices two men near a street Santa Claus asking for donations of toys and money for the daycare nearby. RC noted the men looked nervous. They looked around their surroundings and then at a glass globe with money inside on a table beside Santa. He walks casually toward the men while remembering what they looked like. One man was white with a brown leather bomber jacket, jeans, and black running shoes. The other man is black, wearing a red parka, jeans, and white running shoes.

Suddenly, the man with the red parka knocks Santa off his feet, and the other grabs the globe with the money inside it. They run in opposite directions. "Oh! Hell no!" RC said out loud as he began to chase the man with the globe. The robber pulls out a gun from his front jacket pocket and shoots blindly behind him. "OH SHIT!" RC stops and flattens himself onto the sidewalk. Fortunately, the bullet missed. He gets up and resumes the chase, not thinking about what may happen. The robber runs into an alleyway. It's a dead end, but RC sees a stairway above and runs up the stairs. From the top of the stairs, he leaped off and landed on top of the robber. They both fall hard onto the ground. RC is stunned but recovers quickly. The robber is unconscious, and the globe is nearby undamaged. By this time, several neighborhood kids showed up with two police officers.

The kids cheered as they recognized their Street Avenger from a few years ago. Santa, who turned out to be the daycare owner, thanked RC for saving Christmas for the kids. The globe, which had five hundred dollars inside it, was returned to Santa. RC gave another five hundred dollars out of his pocket to give the kids at the daycare new toys to play with and a special holiday meal with all the trimmings, including their favorite dessert - the sugar cookies RC's mom made earlier.

Back at FLAG inside the garage, Michael watched news reports about the Christmas Street Avenger on KITT's monitor. He and KITT are pleased and proud of the young man who never lost his desire to help out the old neighborhood.
