Twins Missing in Dual Wworlds chapter 4: Floating upwards.

I don't own Gravity Falls nor Amphibia: Gravity Falls is owned by Disney and Alex Hirsh and Amphibia is owned by Disney and Matt Braly.

Mabel woke up when she felt water leaking on and under her.

"MABEL, get up!" Hop Pop said.

"What is going on?" She swam to the stairs, finding the basement to be totally flooded.

"The pipes sprung a leak." He said swimming to help her to the stairs to get away from the water.

"Thanks, Hop Pop."

"Welcome, Mabel."

"What is going on here?" Polly asked, rushing to the door.

"I heard a ruckus." Sprig said, right behind his little sister.

"The basement is super flooded," Mable said, having to twist her hair to get some of the water out of it. She misses having good shampoo.

"Where are you going to sleep?" Polly said.

"I don't know." She said, fishing for any of her supplies that happen to be floating on the surface. She wasn't very concerned about her homework while here, but any hope of her finishing it just went down like a rock.

"Couch is no palace but is comfy." Hop Pop offered.

"Can she stay in my room?" The boy asked.

"I used to room with my brother," Mable says.

"I don't know. Bein' friends is one thing, but roommates? Ya think ya know someone until they're in your space and you're in theirs, and ya can't stand how they whistle all the time, and they complain whenever ya clean your web crusties out." Hoppop started to get loud, "Yes, I have to do it in our room! It has the best light-" He was interrupted by Mabel.

"Trust me. I got this. My brother was super annoying. We just used effective communication strategies."

"Whatever you say." He said, slowly sinking into the water. "Whatever you say."

Mabel just laughs at Hop Pop's words.

"Come, I don't think I've shown you my room yet."

"I don't believe you have," She followed him.

"Come along, let's hop to it."

Mabel laughed as she happily hopped behind the pink skinned frog.

"This is my room, I'll have to get your bed in, but we can do it later. That is my hammock, and these shelves hold my action figures." He said, showing off the straw toys.

"They're so cute! Do they have names?"

"Well, this one is General Bogbreath, Captain Krusty, and Major Longlegs." He said, pointing at each.

She smiled. Telling him how she likes to make stuff.

"Thanks, maybe we can make something sometime soon." Sprig offered.

"I'd like that."

"Sprig and Mabel."

"Mabel and Sprig." She said, trying to find out how to make it sound better.

"Sprabel for life." The two said in unison.

"Hey, I've noticed that you and Polly don't seem to hang out with other kids," Mable observes

"Yeah, Kids around here don't get me." He said, staring off into space.

"I'm sorry," She said. "I kind of had the same problem." Mable replies, a bit weirded out by the staring.

"And Polly is a baby, so we don't get many chances to socialize. Well, at least we got each other. "

Mabel was going to object, then thought for a second or two, "That is true."

"So what do human roommates do?"

"Well-" she happily told him all the chaos she and Dipper got up to.

"Wow, you live the most amazing life I have ever heard." All the Stuff from Gravity Falls sounded amazing.

Mabel, not realizing the truth in the small frog boy statement, then asked, "Really?"

"I never fought a demon before," Sprig said, voice full of envy.

"Ya. But you live in a world with giant bugs!" She said, unaware of one of Dipper's adventures without her.

"Yours doesn't?"

"No. but we do have dinosaurs." She said, "MY Grunkle save my pig from them."

"What is a dinosaur?"

She gave a laugh in response, "Oh, just giant lizards."

"WE have those."

"That sounds like fun," Mabel said.

"Don't worry, they only attack in the Lilypad forest."

"Where is that?"

"Just east of here." He said, pointing in that direction.

"I probably should avoid going there, this girl doesn't need to die before going home."

"I get that, the secret is to run fast."

She giggled, "It usually is."

"Hey, do you have another sweater?"

She paled. "I don't!" This was probably the most serious problem she had dealing with since she found herself off of her home plane of existence.

"I'll see if we got any materials."

"Thank you so much." If she was going to be stuck here, she might as well look good while doing it, so the gesture meant the world to her.

He went to another room and asked Hop Pop. "Hey, Mabel, I got some yawn." He said.

She hugged him. "You're the best!"

"Would you mind saying that In front of Polly?"

"Sprig, you're so silly."

"No, I am not, I am a frog." He said, punching the air, trying to appear tough.

"Awww, you're adorable when you try to look intimidating."

He pouted at this.

She hugged him and then got to work on her new sweater.

He didn't see anything too exciting here.

She made a green one with a pink leaf. "What do ya think?"

"Interesting design," Sprig said, having nothing to say.

"Thanks! Want one?"

"Sure, that sounds like it be fun." He likes free stuff.

Mabel was so happy, "Yes!"

He smile, so unaware of how much he would need. "Ominous."

The next day:

Mabel was still happily knitting. Spring was squirming since she keep the light up all night.

Mabel turns to see this, "Oops, sorry about that."

"It is okay, Roomie." He lied.

"I promise to be more respectful."

And that night, when Sprig said he was tired, she immediately packed up her knitting supplies for the night. Sprig felt a cold breeze and close the window. Mabel was a little warm and only getting warmer over the night. The next morning she told Sprig about the heat.

"It didn't feel so bad to me, I'll see what I can do.*

Mabel gave the most Mabel of answers, "Why not wear a sweater to bed?"

"I guess I can try that."

"Thank you." She said.

"Your welcome, Mabel."

Later that night.

Sprig was dealing with the crusty between his toes. Mable suggested he hang them out the window so the breeze will dry them easily and he could see how far he could throw them. As he did so, he found that he immediately froze due to the wind. She decided to go to the bathroom and brush her hair while he does it instead, it was an eternity to the ever-impatient sprig.

The day after:

Mabel had art supplies everywhere.

"Kinda messy here." Sprig said, dodging an easel that was there for some reason.

"Really? Sorry about that."

"Hehe, it's cool." He fake laughed.

Mabel cleaned up. "What if we designate one corner for the supplies? That way it isn't in the open?"

"We can do that?" Sprig asked.

"Of course. Why wouldn't we? "

"It is our room." Sprig replies

"And that's why we need to communicate. Like me and Dipper did."

"I will keep that in mind."

This made her happy.

The third day:

Sprig was working on something since Mable had been so nice.

"Hey kids, how have things been going?" Hop Pop asks

"I think it is going well, but we have some growing pains."

"The fact that you say it's well is a shock. I had thought you'd drive one another insane."

"I admit I don't think it would work without Mabel." Sprig confessed to his grandfather.

"Neither do I. How is it working?" Hop Pop asked, quizzical.

"A few problems, but we make it work."

"How so."

"Mabel is a good listener."

"That's actually a happy surprise to these old ears." The elder frog said.

"Thanks, she even made me a sweater." He said.

"Oh, that's actually really nice."

"Yeah, maybe we will stay roommates after you fix the leak."

"Really?" He was surprised by this, most of all by his grandson.

"I think it will work, we will have to ask Mabel."

"Well, good luck, kids."

"Thanks, Hop pop.'

"Anytime, Sprig," he went down once more to work on the leak.

Mabel was making outfits for the dolls.

"Hey, Mabel, whatcha doing?"

"I am making some uniforms for your dolls, I mean, err, action figures."

"That is so cool." He went under the dresser to grab something, "Does this help?" He said, holding out a small painting of what they look like in life.

"You have no idea." She said, realizing she had a lot of corrections to her work to do.

"Sprig and Mabel." He chanted.

"Mabel and Sprig." She continued.

"Sprabel for life." They chant in sync.

They high-five each other. Mabel with her hand and Sprig with his tongue. Mabel wasn't one hundred percent totally disgusted by the action.

"Ywwr the byst." He said with his tongue out. They said they were happy to have each other.

To be continued…

Grunkle Ford is a genius.

Which character do you find the funniest?

My response: For which show? I think for Amphibia Polly, for Gravity Falls Soos.
