"Hey Mabel, want to help with the family shrug."

"Oh do I! I don't even know what it is but I am excited." She said.

"It meant to show the family members from the the Planter side of the family both alive and sadly departed. Well, I am glad to see someone interested in it for once."

"You guys aren't?!" Mabel asking the other two who just shrug, she thought the Plantar family was so fun.

"It's soooo boring." Polly said slowly.

"Why is that?" Mabel asked.

"They just don't appreciate their heritage."

"I don't have much heritage. Well… at least that people have told me."

"Well, why don't you learn about the Plantars then?" Hop Pop motioned for her to join him.

"Awesome!" Mabel jumped into the seat next to him.

"Now where to start?"

"At the beginning?" Mabel said, getting a little too close to Hop Pop.

"Well Plantar history only go back a thousand year." Hop Pop said.

"Why's that?" Mabel asked confused.

"Well, does your family history go back more than a thousand years?" Hop Pop tilted his head in curiosity.

""I dunno. My parents never really talked about our family." She awkwardly rubbed the back of her head. "It's a miracle they sent us to visit our Grunkles at all."

"That's a shame." Hop Pop shook his head.

"I never knew why." Mabel sighed, she likes when family were closer.

"Is it this a human thing?" Hop Pop continued.

"No. I think my family just didn't like each other."

Hop Pop held her shoulder in response.

"Maybe learning about our family will make you feel better." Hop Pop said, as the other two were paying attention.

"Thank you!" Mabel's eyes lit up, Polly and Sprig went back to being Lazy thinking Mabel problem would deal with itself.

"Now the first Plantar is Stem Plantar. She was a traveler until she decided to settle down here in Wartwood."

"Thats so cool!"

"She was the one who started this farm and even built this very house!" Excitement filled Hop Pop's voice.

"Whoa! How'd she do that?" She asked, handing over one of the glue bottles to Hop Pop, noticing how the bug bottle thing Hop Pop was holding was empty.

"Through hard work. She survived hot summers, freezing winters, dry autumns, and wet springs." He pulled out a picture of her. "Giant snakes, frogs eating bugs." The painting was very faded, so all Mabel could see was a vague frog shape, with an orange top, pink where the head was, and brown down with a bit of green in the middle.

"She must have been strong!" Mabel leaned in.

"I suppose, but alas, she didn't leave too many records aside from those." Hop Pop sighed.

"Wonder why she didn't."

"Probably was shy or something." Sprig cut in.

"Maybe. Do you have anything else of hers?" Mabel asked.

"Fraid not other than the house itself." Hop Pop shook his head.

"By the way, Mabel, did you know you're not the first member of the plantar family to not be a frog."

"Really?!" Her eyes lit up.

"Yep, a few generations ago they adopted a newt named Emma."

"For real?" Mabel's mind was going a mile a minute. Her face showing it, by going 80 smiles an hour.

"Yessiree." Hop Pop pulled out a picture of her.

"Wow!" Mabel went to help glue on the next piece… only to find the bottle empty. "Drats! We're out of glue."

"How about this, you help organize everything while I go get some glue?"

"Can do Hop Pop!" Mabel said, gave a salute.

"Thanks Mabel, I think leaving you in charge won't backfire." Hop Pop gave a hearty laugh.

Once he was out of earshot, "That might have been a first mistake." Sprig said, planning something.

"Our ancestors are so boring!" Polly whined..

"They didn't do anything weird. Or different. Or fun. I mean, look at this. Even this painting's making me feel depressed." He went. Yet, as he leaned on it, a small part pushed went into the wall, revealing a secret pathway. "What the... Whoa!"

"Sprig you broke the house!" Polly accused.

"Where does this go to?" Mabel asked.

"I dunno!" He leaped in front of her. "I've never seen this before…"

"But you live here!" Mabel counted.

"Yeah? Your point?"

Mabel smiled and bolted inside. "Uncharted territory! Let's go exploring."

"Mabel! Wait up!" Sprig and Polly immediately gave chase.

They found an mad scientist lab, and a training room, and our story continue to the next one.

And eventually, they found themselves in a wide, stone room… only for the floor to buckle below them. "G'ahh!" Mabel yelped as they were dropped into the third layer in the planter house.

"Okay Mabel, where are we now?" Polly asked.

"I don't know but I love it!" Mabel's eyes scanned the room. It was filled from top to bottom with looms, threads of all colors and sizes, sewing needles and kits of all kids, amongst other things. In other words, it was a seamstress' paradise.

"Is that some kind of giant loom?" Polly asked.

"It totally is! Whoever made this room, must be a fellow seamstress, yes, yes, yes ,yes." She said, doing a little dance kicking her legs up. Mabel then ran up to it.

"Why did my great, great, great aunt need one of those? Why does anyone need one that big really?" Sprig scratched his head.

"Because it's cool! This is so going in the Mabel Journal." She promised

"What's a loom?" Polly asked.

"It's used for sewing." Mabel answered.

"Oh, that's why I've never seen one." Sprig added.

"Yeah! It requires more than one brain cell, observe!" Mabel got on the controls and started knitting.

"So it's above my pay grade?" Sprig tilted his head.

She poked him with a needle in response.

"Owie." Sprig cried out, "Oh the pain!"

Mabel looked down laughing,

"So uhh what exactly are you doing now that Sprig pulled another lever." Polly asked.

"He what?! When?!" Mabel eyes widened

"Yeah, we really need to stop letting him out of our sight..."

"Thats it I'm making him a leash."

"Good luck, tell me how it goes." Polly said.

Mabel ran to investigate what Sprig did… only for giant knitting needles started to fall and rise from the ceiling.

"We gotta get outta here!" Polly yelled out. "But how? The door way is too far for us to hop."

Mabel thought quickly, "I got it!" Before she started knitting as quickly as she could.

"Woah, huh, woah." Polly jumped back and forth as she did a mild shift dance to avoid the needles.

Mabel threw her makeshift bridge down. "Let's book it." Before they crossed it, just as the room collapsed.

"That was too close." Polly said.

"Look! An exit!" Mabel point at the doorway ahead.

"Let's get to it." Polly said. They ran through back to the living room. "I blame you Sprig."

"Saaaame." Mabel cried out.

"Everyone is so mean to me." Sprig said dramatically.

"Because you never think before doing things!"

"She's right bro."

"What the worst that can happen." He said dismissively.

"Death." Mabel reminded him.

"By your sister." Polly added.

"And me." Mabel added.

Sprig gulped.

"Well at least we got out, take that death traps."

"If Hop Pop asked what happen blame Sprig." Mabel declare.

"Yeah...wait a second." Sprig taking a second to realize what it meant.

"Great idea."

"If Hop Pop asked what happened, we blame Sprig." Mabel declared.

"Yeah! Wait, what?!" Sprig's eyes widened in realization.

"Great idea." Polly smiled.

They happily wait to explain what happen to Hop Pop, who wanted to experience it himself. "Here we go again." Mabel laugh.

Actions have consequences.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Is Mabel a foil to Anne?

Would you want to see Anne fight Luz in Death Battle?

Why did you mention Anne here?

Are you happy Bill Cipher won against Discord in Death Battle?

What inspired you to use Mabel for this story?

My response: You axolotl questions.

Her Grunkles, but yes.
You know it.

Merry Christmas to you.

I bit, be boring if she was a perfect copy of Anne.
Why would I want to see two characters I like, want to murder one another?

I have my reasons.

Of course, I watch it three time.

I was watching Amphibia season 3 and thought what if the Planters meet Anne during that season, and one thing lead to another.
