Scrooged Nami

Chapter 1

In 1840s, a poor looking town is celebrating the special time of the year; Christmas. Everyone in town was exciting...except one.

Walking along the streets, is a lady with orange hair and brown eyes, wearing very expansive business dress, long beautiful coat and poke bonnet. Her name is Nami Scrooge.

"Merry Christmas!" 'Santa' said as he rings his hand bell while standing near pot, "Merry Christmas, one and all!"

Nami Scrooge walk pass the poor homeless group when one of them notices her, "Penny for the poor, ma'am? Penny for the poor?"

Nami Scrooge just glare at him before moving on. A while later, she arrived at her counting house and look at the sign with her name on it along with other name.

"My dear partner; Starfire Marley. Dead few years today." Nami Scrooge said before smile, "She was the best. She robbed from the widows and swindled poor." She then, sweeps snow of her sign, "She left me enough money to pay for her tombstone. And I have her bury in the wasteland!"

With that, Nami Scrooge enter her counting house while a young adult blond hair and blue eyes man named Naruto Cratchit wearing worn suit, is writing on book while his blue hair and lavender eyes girlfriend named Hinata Belle, wearing a dark brown bodice with long, light aquamarine sleeve, a brown knee-length skirt, white apron and black ballet flats, is scrubbing the floor as best as she can with very cold and non-soapy water.

"Mr Cratchit, make sure the debt notices are ready by tomorrow." Nami said as she taking off her coat.

Naruto Cratchit got off his desk chair and made his way towards his boss, "Tomorrow is Christmas, Ma'am."

"Then, gift wrap them." Nami said as she hang her coat.

Seeing Hinata Belle's shaky cold hands, Naruto Cratchit took a deep breath, "Excuse me, Miss Scrooge? Hinata Belle's hands are getting freezing. I think it would be better for her job if we can warm up the water and add some cleaning soaps?"

"If that's what you wanted, then you have to pay...800% funds!" Nami Scrooge said.

Quickly, Hinata Belle got up and pull Naruto Cratchit away, "That won't be necessary, Miss Scrooge. I can still do my best."

"Smart girl." Nami Scrooge said before went towards her desk and start working, "Let's see now. Tsunade Kato owns me 268% credit on her debt. Then Dexter owns me 349%. And Sweet Apple Acres owns me 999%." Nami Scrooge giggles before hugging all the bags of money, "Money, money, money! Money-money-money-money-money-money-money-money-money!"

Just then, the door open and a Luffy; Captain of Straw Hat Pirates, enters with his crew; Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook and Jinbe.

"Merry Christmas!" Straw Hat Pirates said.

"And merry Christmas to you guys as well." Naruto Cratchit said.

Nami Scrooge hears them as she writing in her book, "Bah, humbug." She muttered.

"Merry Christmas, Nami Swan!" Sanji said with pink heart shaped eyes.

Nami Scrooge growls before slam her book shut, "What so merry about it?!" She asked as she make her way towards others, "Let me tell you what Christmas really is. A day people throwing away their MONEY! And if anyone said otherwise, will have to pay me the fund of say; 80 pounds!"

Zoro rolls his eyes a bit.

"But ma'am, Christmas is the time of giving. A time to be with your family." Hinata Belle said.

"I say; Buh, Humbug!" Nami Scrooge said.

"Well, I don't care!" Luffy said, "I say; Merry Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

"Well said, Luffy!" Naruto Cratchit said while clapping.

Nami Scrooge turn and glare at her worker, "Naruto Cratchit, what are you doing?!"

Naruto quickly stop clapping, "I was...just keeping my hands warm, ma'am." Then he went back to work with Hinata went back to scrubbing.

Once her workers went back to work, Nami Scrooge turn and glare at Straw Hat Pirates, "And what are you guys doing here?"

"Well, we come to give you this." Jinbe said as he hands wreath to Nami Scrooge, "And Luffy wanting to invite you to join our crew."

"Oh right." Nami Scrooge said, "The invitations you, Luffy, keeps going on every time you see me."

"Yep." Luffy said.

"To join the pirate crew." Nami Scrooge said.

"That's right."

"And travel around the world."

"Yeah!"

"And where are no money to care for?"

"Yep!"

"And I have to abandoning my counting house and all my money?"

"Awesome, right?!" Luffy asked, "so, wanting to join?"

"You really are a Moron, Pirate!" Nami Scrooge said as she open the door, "You know I care nothing but money. Take your cheap wreath." She quickly give the wreath to Robin before pushing the pirates out, "Now, get out! Out! OUT!" Once she push them out, Nami Scrooge slam the door hard, "Humbug." She muttered as she walks back to her desk.

Just then, the door open a bit and Brook pop in, "Merry Christmas! Yo-Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho! He then, hang the wreath on the door handle and went off.

"And a Bah Humbug to you!" Nami Scrooge said in annoys as she went back to work.

Naruto Cratchit and Hinata Belle laughs a bit as they work.

"Those pirates. Always cheers people up for Christmas." Naruto Cratchit said.

Just then, the door open and two people, Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble, enters.

"Good day." Fred Flintstone said as he and his partner went towards Nami Scrooge, "Have I the pleasure of addressing Miss Scrooge, or Miss Marley?"

"Starfire Marley have been dead for years. She die few years ago, this very day." Nami Scrooge said.

"Oh, well," Fred Flintstone started, "We have no doubt that her generosity is well represented by her surviving partner." Fred Flintstone clears his throat, "At this festive season of the year, Miss Scrooge, it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the poor and the destitute."

"Are there no prisons or poorhouses?" Nami Scrooge asked.

"Plenty of those, Ma'am." Fred Flintstone said.

"Oh, good. For the moment, I was worried." Nami Scrooge said.

"At this festive season, a few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the poor some food and drink and means of warmth." Fred Flintstone said as he took out his red notebook, "What can we put you down for?"

"...Nothing..." Nami Scrooge answered.

"You wish to remain anonymous, then?" Barney asked.

"I wish to be left alone!" Nami Scrooge said, "I never make myself merry and I can't afford to make ide people merry. I supporting those I mentioned. Any of these poor and destitute must go there."

Fred and Barney were shock at this before Fred says, "But many can't go there, ma'am. And well, many would rather die."

"Then let them die!" Nami Scrooge said, "It's just means I'll get MORE MONEY!"

"But, money isn't everything." Barney said.

Nami Scrooge deeply gasp in shock, "Are you out of your mind, shorty?! MONEY IS EVERYTHING!" Nami Scrooge took a deep breath to calm down, "You need to realizes that in the real world, the only thing that's more important, is money and plenty of it. Now if you don't mind, we have work to do."

"Oh, of course, Miss Scrooge." Fred Flintstone said, "Pardon us." With that, Fred and Barney quickly leave the counting house.

But just before they reach the door, "Hold it!" Nami Scrooge called out.

Fred and Barney stops and turn to see Nami coming towards them, with a bit of hope that she chance her mind.

"Because you've disturbed me in my working hours...I'll take THIS!" Nami Scrooge said as she quickly took the donation box from Barney.

Everyone was shock as Nami Scrooge pouring money out of the box, into money sack, before throw the empty box back to Barney.

"B-b-b-b-b-b-b..." Barney tries to say before Nami Scrooge grab him and Fred by shirt and kick the door open.

"Now, get out!" Nami Scrooge said as she throw them into the pile of snow.

Once she close the door, Nami Scrooge giggles greedily, as she took out coin and give it a big kiss.

(Evening)

Nami Scrooge and her workers are about to finishing up their work when a door open gently and a 10 years old female version of Naruto with a homemade crutch, peak inside, "Hello?"

Nami Scrooge turns to see a little girl and got angry as she grab the nearby cane, "Stupid beggars! I already said I'm not giving any of my money away!"

The girl got scared as Nami Scrooge is about to hit her with the cane.

"Miss Scrooge, no!" Naruto Cratchit said run over, "That's my little sister." He carefully, pick up his sister.

"Oh. You have a sister?" Nami Scrooge asked in a bit surprise, "I thought you were the only child." She then take a good look at Naruto Cratchit's sister, "She nearly look like you."

"Yeah. We definitely got the looks from our father's side." Naruto Cratchit said, "This is my sister; Naruko Cratchit."

Nami Scrooge put the cane away before firmly look at her workers, "I'm guessing you two, want a day off tomorrow."

"If quite convenient, ma'am." Hinata Belle said.

"It's not convenient, and it's not fair." Nami Scrooge said, "If I were to dock you two, a half a crown for it, you'd think yourselves ill-used. And yet you don't think me ill-used when I pay Cratchit 15 shillings a week, and Belle 8 shillings a week, for no work."

"Well, even so, Miss Scrooge." Naruto Cratchit started, "Why opening up tomorrow? Other businesses will be closed. You'll have no one to do business with. Well...it will be a waste the expansive coals for fire."

"Or waste money for water bills for my cleaning work." Hinata Belle added.

"It's a poor excuse to pick a woman's pocket every December 25th." Nami Scrooge said as she putting on her coat and bonnet, "Still... I suppose you two made a valuable point... Very well. Take the day."

"Thank you, Miss Scrooge!" Naruto Cratchit and Hinata Belle said as they put on their coats while Naruto Cratchit put on his top hat and Hinata Belle put on her bonnet.

Once everyone out of the counting house, "But here all the earlier the next morning." Nami Scrooge said as she lock up the door.

"We will, ma'am." Naruto Cratchit said.

"Good. Cause if you're late, you'll pay me 120 pounds." Nami Scrooge said.

"We'll make it, ma'am." Hinata Belle said.

"Very well." Nami Scrooge said before went off.

"Merry Christmas, Miss Scrooge." Naruko said.

"Humbug!" Nami Scrooge yelled.

(Done! Hope you like it. I bet you're wondering; 'Why did I changed the last names?'. Well, Since it's Christmas Carol style story, I used the names of its characters' name to go with X-over characters to fit in nicely As for Belle one, I have someone else doing Isabell part but not as lover, so I use her 'Belle' name for Hinata as extra character and cleaning worker in counting house.
