Mabel was painting fake nails onto the scarecrows when she heard sprig rambling about a shell. So she went over to investigate.
"Hey Mabel, working on those painted toenails on the scarecrow?" Sprig asked.
"Gotta get them looking fabulous."
"Can't argue with crazy."
"Exactly."
"Oh look what i found, a blue moon shell." He said showing it off to her. It was shiny, with sparkles in it.
"Shiny!" Her eyes widen at this.
"You know it! And you know who's gonna love it? Ivy! Tomorrow's her birthday. And this is the perfect gift." He said showing it off
"Morning, kids! Time to start the chores. Whoa! Is that a blue moon shell?" he gasps in amazement. "Amazing! You know, some frogs live their whole lives never having seen one."
Polly called them suckers.
"Anyway, enough dilly-dallying. Chore time! Bessie's waste ain't gonna shovel itself." he said handing them a shovel before walking off. Mabel shiver at the thought of that.
"Well, don't wanna get this thing dirty." He said placing it on the fence
"You're just gonna leave it on the fence?" Mabel asked.
"Why not, I don't think anyone would steal it. Why do you?" He asked, eying her up.
"I was thinking more it could fall off and break. Duh."
"Oh Bessie dropping that actually could happen."
"Like shells are fragile dudes." She lost more shell trying to fuse them with sweaters.
"Okay your made a good point. Well back in the house you go."
"Good idea Sprig."
A frog wave high as he was walk by the front of the Plantar property, "Hey Mabel."
"Hey Gunter." She wave to the yellow soft spoken frog.
