"Now kids we have less than one month until the mountain pass will clear. Once it does we will start our journey out of this Valley and hopefully find a way home for poor Mabel." Hop Pop declares.

"Maybe I'll learn if any of the girls got here as well." Mabel didn't want that, if so they must be so lonely.

"More Mabel's?" Polly asked.

"No. Not me silly." She pats the ball-shaped frog head.

"That's good, I don't think this world is large enough for two Mabels." Sprig said. She playfully smacked his head. "Hop Pop Mabel being a bully."

"Anyways...you know what the best way to start a quest is?" He asked.

"Adventure?" Sprig asked.

"Weapons?" Polly asked.

"Research!" Hop Pop declares.

The kids all groaned and complained. This stick one go, where the kaboom? Said another, this is Dipper all over again.

"Come, come on, gang. What if Mabel gets bitten to death by a venomous snake fly before she can go home." One of those is a bit away. "She could be eaten by camouflaged sod skink." A sod skink eating the snake fly from before, "Or crushed to death by a sand liger." One liger appears and then crushes the skink. "Or..." He was interrupted before he could mention something even worse.

"Hey hey hey," she said. "Let's just go. I can add more to my journal." She honestly wants him to stop before he accidentally kills more animals.

"That's the spirit. We're here." He said, stopping Bessie. "We are a bit out so we should leave before it gets dark, or else." He was as ominous as most people around here.

"Or else what?" Mabel asked, unaware of the secret.

"The door to this place is set on a sunlight timer. It opens when the sun rises and deadlocks when the sun sets. We will be trapped for the night." he warned.

"That sounds like something Dipper and Grunkle Ford would come up with for one of their games." She always found them oddballs, but then again at the end of the day, they were her oddballs.

"Well it's serious, someone ate the emergency snacks." He said. Both Polly and Sprig blame each other for this misdeed. At this point even Mabel wasn't sure which it was, she might have but it got stuck in her braces.

"Do we have to be here? you realize all you do here is read other people's cool adventures." Sprig complained. He honestly did not see the benefit of researching as opposed to getting experience in the field.

"And prepare for our own. Okay, I am picking up what you're putting down."

"Wait! Wouldn't we be better off getting experience by diving headfirst into deadly situations?" He was unaware of how bad of an idea that was. He also forgot Mabel had been through a late night and needed some time off.

"Trust me, from experience, that's a terrible idea," Mabel told him. "Dipper and I barely survived a lot of the things we encountered. And a lot of those times we only survived thanks to things we learned from Grunkle Ford's journals."

In her mind, she hears Dipper's voice say, that right 'we' learn in equal parts, yes siree.

"Maybe if we learn more about the archives look at a plaque, 'Mycroft Newtback, archives founder. This structure, originally Newtback's home, was turned into the public archives after he died violently attempting to travel beyond the valley.' Good enough for me." Hop Pop was totally wrong if he thought that would be comforting.

"Ditto," Polly said.

"Same here." Mabel would try. Sprig would try but was clearly not open to the idea.

"A mix of adventure and research. Now I sound like my bro." Mabel laughed, at how far she had come. It's amazing what you can do when you have to.

"I think that there is a section for written journals on the west side." Hop Pop said. He knew how much her journal meant to her.

"Sounds like a good thing for me to check out." She would have to ask Hop Pop if she could take one home with her, and give a souvenir to the boys.

"I am going to be into these books titled Explosives for Dummies," Polly said. "I am going to make something explode."

"Why are you looking at me when you say that?" Sprig asked.

Mabel covers her mouth at this, before saying, "Have fun."

"Oh the older ways, I did not know of these." He said in a happy voice.

Mabel laughed at their antics, but part of her knew she had to get down to business at this point.

She found one called "Barrel Journal". It was an old book older than Hop Pop even, and he is very old. This got her attention. Deciding to read through it a bit. Mabel thought Jackpot this guy was from Newtopia, what were the odds? "Awesome sauce!" It started with him meeting someone named Lief. "Could this be a story of a forbidden love?" Apparently she was some kind of guardian gardener. This book wasn't very well edited. Mabel then imagined what it would be like.

Barrel POV:

"So you're the royal Gardener, it's a pleasure to meet you." The tall, strong, handsome frog said, looking at the innocent, pink frog, with luscious orange hair.

She turned and smiled. "It sounds so formal. Call me Lief!"

"My friends call me Barrel because my name is Barrel, my enemies call me 'Ahhhh, not you'." He said. He quoted the cries of pain of the enemies of the throne.

She snorted at that. "Nice to meet you, Barrel."

"Nice to meet you Lief, are there any tunnels here?" He needed to make sure the new fa, fa, fa, stupid animals would not escape if they happened to be placed here.

"Not that I'm aware of." She never looked but she did spend more of her time here so that is a good reason.

"Excellent, we are getting some animals transferred here, and we don't want to escape," Barrel explains himself dutifully and professionally.

"Maybe I can help? Helping you guys is kinda my job."

"You think you can help take care of them, it is hard to do that and secure the ground." And more importantly, he did not want to do so.

"All the more reason for me to help you. Wouldn't be fair to expect you to do it alone." She was so sweet, what happened? The last bit looked different like it was added later.

"Thanks, I got plenty of training in fighting animals but they normally don't go past step one, hit them. Step two repeats step one." It was very effective.

"Maybe try a more gentle approach." She was so kind.

"You mean the other end?" He asked, showing off the handle of his giant hammer.

"No no silly," She laughed, gathering some vegetables from her garden. "Let's bribe them with food."

"I wonder what it eats." He didn't know anything about this beast.

"Let's find out together!" How I miss that in her.

"Thanks the beasts are from [word illegible}, the king himself found them."

"Then I'm thinking, something orange."

"They actually look like they are made of plants yet move."

"Really now, this should be interesting."

"I probably could tackle it down, for the glory of Amphibia." I do anything for my home.

"Stop. You're scaring the poor baby." The giant did not seem to like me for some reason.

"I never thought of that," I said, grabbing the bottom of the cage and single-handedly having the front wall open up for the living grass creature. "Out you go, you can't go home but you can't stay there."

Leif offered it a welcoming hug. She was the most trusting person ever. It looked down at her since it was easily five times her size. "Hey, little guy. You ok?" She just smiled. It put its hand on her as if trying to figure out exactly what she was. She touched it back trying to show it didn't need to be afraid. IT picked her up for a lack of a better word palm, paw, leaf, nobody knew.

"You okay up there?" Keeping these things from hurting anyone was part of my job.

"This is amazing!" She laughed at the situation most would be horrified of.

"I would so, do that," Mabel said to herself.

"Be careful, we don't know what that thing's intent is." He said.

"I think if he wanted to hurt me he already would." She must be insane. She never changed.

"Remember it from a strange land, and I was always told something something keep an eye on strange things." I forgot the rest.

She gave out a giggle at him. "You sure don't seem to worry much about the job. She remarked, observing the strange creature.

"You seem pretty brave for a mere gardener." He said, "The prince should be here soon."

"I haven't met the prince before. What's he like?" She asked him curiously.

"He is kind and strong, he has a great sense of humor, and Mabel, Mabel, Mabel!" The voice Mabel imagines changes to the voice of Sprig. Mabel groaned in annoyance.

"Look, I made sock puppets." He said he must have gotten one of her socks that didn't fit for some reason anymore. It was not like she was getting bigger, no she was the same cute girl she always was.

"That's… great. Now if you don't mind this is getting good."

"Come on Mabel, don't tell me you don't want to see what the inside of a giant bat nest looks like." Sprig said the young frog did not know that Bats live in caves, not nests. Although Mabel had yet to see a cave big enough for one. Why did he not understand she was tired and needed a break?

"As fun as that sounds, which it really doesn't, all I want to do right now is read this book." Mabel wonders if she was ever this bad with Dipper, nay she is too charming for that.

"Come on Mabel, what can a book give you that you can't get from life-threatening real-life experience?" Sprig asked. The young frog's heart was in the right place, sadly the thing between his hat and his neck was kinda empty at the moment.

"Easy. Experience at a much faster pace. Plus without the threat of death." She had been in too much danger lately, she earned a day or two without having to see her life flash before her eyes for once.

"Doesn't life or death experience build character." He said, before Mabel could respond Polly spoke.

"What does this page say, this book will self-destruct in five seconds." Boom. Polly was covered in soot. "That is amazing." Polly's antics were odder than normal to Mabel. She just wanted to read in peace.

"Sprig leaves Mabel alone, she behaves herself." This was so rare for Hop Pop, he did not want this kind of behavior to be discouraged.

"Thanks, Hop Pop." Mabel didn't want to fight today.

"Just remember this when it is time to do chores." He reminds the Pines girl.

"Whatever you say is silly." She 'always' did a good job on her chores.

"Mabel did you know there are five different types of boom shrooms." She said so excited. When Mabel didn't respond, Polly shrugged and went to another book.

Now where was she before Sprig rudely interrupted her? Right. The prince was coming.

A couple of heralds with trumpets came, playing their instruments to introduce his majesty and his royal highness. You always had my respect, why not was it one way?

Leif turned her head to look over, seeing a large Newt man approach.

He was a giant easily twice the size of Barrel. "Barrel I see you made a friend." He said walking over to her. "I am Prince Andrias. I don't believe I have the pleasure of meeting you."

"No, I don't think we have. My name is Leif. I was just helping out with these sweet creatures."

He gave out a hardy laugh, "Don't let their demure nature fool you, their strength rivals even some of our strongest [illegible writing]." He said.

"But they don't seem Violent." She always was good with plants.

"Remember demons can wear smiles as well as Angel, or maybe they're just wimps with really good gyms." The young prince chuckled.

"Nah I can tell. They have kind eyes."

"Your optimism is inspiring." He complimented her.

"It's not optimism. The world just isn't a bad place, silly."

He smiled, "I like this one."

She smiled back at him. They would be the best of friends.

"I am curious about what they eat." He was always more curious about the place he went than his father the king.

"How about we work on finding out together?" Lief offered.

"That sounds like a swell idea, Leif."

"Aww, thanks Drias."

Mabel went down a few more chapters...

Leif and Barrel went to Andrias to invite him to hang out.

"My old man is busy with a mission, so I see no reason not to," Andrias said. He wouldn't upset his father, but learning about how his city works was a part of his job.

"That's the spirit!"

"By the way Barrel, how's the hammer?" He asked.

"Working like a charm, I haven't needed to charge it even once since your father gifted it to me?"

"It should take 50, 35, 67, 45 different designs to get the right one."

"Wow, that's a lot of designs!" Lief exclaimed.

"We are hoping to have it be a standard issue by the time of my reign." He said, "So Leif, where exactly are we going to hang out?"

"There's this wonderful forest not far from here."

"I admit I never left the city limits before."

"We'll now have as good a time as any."

"I suppose you happen to be right," Andrias said.

I then said, "She is the smartest frog I know."

"I'm the only frog you know ya goofball."

"She got you there." The prince announced.

She grinned at that. "Come on. Before the guards make their rounds

Andrias naturally took the lead of the three knowing where all of the guard toads would be.

Lief took a ride on his shoulder.

Barrel smiling looking around, "These trees should be bigger up close." He said. Some were purple bark, some orange, some yellow.

Andrias enjoyed the view, "They sure are a break-taking sight, although reports that a lot of these plants don't last long for some reason."

"That's too bad. Maybe we can help them?"

Andrias thought on it, "I would, but I can not lie to you, I wouldn't even have the faintest of ideas on where we could even start." He was the brain of the trio, so that was a bad sign of her plan.

"Maybe but I'm great with plants."

"Okay, what's the plan then?" Andrias asked.

"Let's collect some samples to start."

"Umm my only tool is a hammer and I see no nails." I remind my frog friend.

"Then you should think a bit more creatively," she showed him how he could use the hammer to knock down stuff.

"I am here at breaking stuff." He said. Why couldn't I be more? The strange writing added.

Mabel felt bad for him. Understanding how he felt, she always felt like she could be put to the side during adventures.

One of the leaves shot up to me grabbing my arm, "Lief are they supposed to do that?"

"I don't know. I've never seen these."

"Where did they come from?" I asked, oh right from the king travels.

"Good question," she looked at Andrias.

"Well..." The next few pages went missing.

Mabel went to the first available page, "Here I'll help you in the sewer Lief." How did we get here?

"Thanks Barrel. I knew I could count on you."

"Anytime, I think you can fix the problem, Andrias?"

"But of course!" He claimed.

"Great to hear, don't worry that massive Alligator will hunt in our city no more."

"Ya, they're causing too much trouble." Lief agrees.

"Yeah, think they have something to do with all those orphans running the streets lately?" I try to help, but there is only so much for one toad to do.

"There is a distinct possibility for that," Drias said.

"I feel bad for those kids. Forced to steal to survive, without their parents," Leif said sadly.

"Hopefully the profit from the next few missions should be enough they won't have to." Drias trusted the system his family started.

"That's wonderful," Lief said.

"I know, my old man works hard with his associates."

"Too hard on that and not enough on the people. Sadly." Lief said, egging on Andrias.

"He may seem like that, but he works on a much larger scale than us." Drias always knew more than I did.

"Guys guys can we not fight?"

"Right, Sorry about that Barrel." She apologized.

"No harm Lief," I said. She wasn't a smart toad-like I am. Lief was glad that I was able to keep the peace, one of the best peacekeepers. "Now where are they?" They had a moment of peace. "We have to be back before sundown." I didn't want to get caught, I had a reputation to uphold.

"You worry too much silly," Lief said, she always was able to leap before she looked.

"And you don't worry enough." As a royal guard, I had a responsibility to perform.

"I think between the two of you you're just right," Drias said.

Lief rolled her eyes at this, "I couldn't agree with me." She did deep down, no need to reveal it.

"You're the best." I was glad to have them. I MISS THEM.

Mabel wondered what happened, these guys seemed so close, yet these cryptic warnings were making it seem good, did the three of them not get a happy ending? That unpossible.

The walls while they are close, and the beast will arrive. "Everyone stayed close," Drias ordered, he was the best tactician of the lot of us. The water started to bubble and they were coming up. Lief ready her slingshot, Andrias got a net since his fire sword did not work against something that can go underwear, and I keep my trusty war hammer. The beast came out roaring, nearly three times Drias' own size, and had to be four times as heavy. A massive red alligator appears from the water.

Lief dodged from the thing swiping at her, she tried to blind it with some mud.

Barrel and Andrias try to push the beast back by grabbing it by the front limbs. Lief knew she would have to be the distraction. Only for it to try to crush her under his tail, but Lief was faster.

"That thing is fast," I said. "We will need to be faster."

"I'll get the net ready!"

Drias spoke, "It's too big to be captured that way."

"So what do we do, Drias?"

"Let's try to blind it first." He could tell the thing was looking at them.

Luckily everyone's favorite gardener aims and fires a bag of sand at the massive monster. The monster tried to protect himself but it didn't work.

It roars and sends them back at this. "We have to close his mouth," Drias said.

Leif decided to try using this really strong vine she'd found in the forest.

"My uncle used to wrangle with them, they are great at closing mouths, only okay at opening them up again."

"I'll help." Drias said, "Hurry, it is harder to grip than I expected."

Leif saw something on the alligator, it looked like a long piece of wood coming out of the beast. Between the foot and ankles.

I recognized that look, she knew something they missed, "Lief what is it?"

"Something is stuck in his leg!"

Drias spoke, "Well we got another round to go, get a good grip Barrel."

"I am counting on you two," Lief said.

I was struggling holding down its tail, "And make it fast."

"You know it, Barrel!" She got ready to bounce. As soon as it was held down she jumped on it and pulled out the large thorn.

It got free, it glared at me and Drias then looked at Lief nodding its head in what seemed to be a form of respect. Then swam away from them towards the opening water of the city. Probably to leave. Leif sighed in relief.

Mabel noticed one page was sticking out as if it had been read multiple times. She decided to skip to the good part.

WHY DID LEIF AND ANDRIAS FIGHT LIKE THAT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT THERE WAS A FIGHT. IT ALL HAPPENS SO FAST. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY FOUGHT OTHER THAN THEY WERE LOOKING FOR THIS. A poorly drawn picture was made, she could tell that was in fact the music box. This made her go pale. He wrote some more, suggesting that it was the most important object in the world to the Amphibians, and she kept it in her sock drawer.

She would have to keep it close, Hop Pop and the gang knew she had it but maybe that was not wise if it could separate those three. She needed more info on it, and with Dipper and Grunkle Ford in another world, it was up to Mabel Pines to find it out. Help us all.

As long as no plantar does something stupid to make her mad at them.

"WE ARE TRAP!" Sprig yelled while Mabel blamed her brain for that.

Mabel was scared by the thought. "What?"

"That door just won't open." He said, pulling on the door handle to prove the point. They were stuck in here.

"Okay, this is bad, it's not like we will die here," Mabel said.

"Guys, reading these moldy, old books ain't gonna prepare us for squat. What we need is a daring escape from an old, underground library!" He said.

The family was convinced. "What we need is you putting that piece back." Hop Pop told his grandson.

"Put...it...back...now," Polly said.

"Fine kill joys., not like I had a brilliant plan.." He stops hearing the sounds of a piece of glass shattering. "Oh no."

"I blame you, bro."

Mabel then yelled, "How could you be so selfish, seriously dude what?"

"Don't worry it is an easy fix, achoo." He accidentally sneezed on this. They watched in horror as the glass disintegrated. "Was it an accident?"

"Mabel we can yell at Sprig later, right now that is not accomplishing anything. We might have to wait for someone to visit the archives." Hop Pop said.

"Oh and when will that be?" She smiled thinking that would be an easy way to fix this mess.

"Let's see, not counting us, the last people here came two years ago. Okay, time to panic."

Mabel was freaking out, she needed to get out here if she ever wanted to get to Westwood, to get to Newtopia, to get to

"Enough of this negativity! Come on, guys. This is our call to frog-venture right here. Did you forget who we are? This gang has been through a lot. And we're gonna make it through this too!" Sprig gave an inspirational speech.

"Yeah, that's my brother." She said positively.

"I mean, we better. 'Cause if we don't, we'll be trapped here for weeks. No food, no water. Until they find our dehydrated, mummified bodies clawing at the door."

"Yeah, that's my brother." She said more negatively.

"Yeah, I probably could have ended that speech earlier." The young frog boy put his hand behind his back to rub.

Mabel wondered what to do.

Polly tries to break down the door with her body, but sadly toad she is not.

"Oh I got an idea, I just need to use my reading glasses." Hop Pop said. Mabel went over to watch. "Now I just need to." He placed the glass there and it came out of the hold cracking causing him to fall due to the light glare. "I know this isn't the time but those were my best pair."

"It's not your fault Hop Pop," Mabel said it was the best plan they had so far.

"Can't you just use your tiny magic box to make a light Mabel?" She asked. Polly forgot that it was supposed to be called a phone.

"Sorry, I didn't bring it." For some reason Dipper made her leave her phone at home when going to the library, and she must have made it a habit.

"Sadly I don't have any way to set anything on fire." Plus fire is hard to use as a light source. "We better hurry the light won't come out of the light forever." The youngest reminded them.

"Right. Let's split up and look for other exit points." Mabel said, walking to a bookshelf.

"Wait a minute, light is coming out for the contraption, correct?" Sprig said.

"That's right." Mabel said, "Your point?"

"Mabel, that means it is a hole, one of us can go through it."

"Right!" She looked up. "It's a small hole. We'll need to send Polly or I will have to go up."

"Got it." She tried to leap, but she didn't even come close to it. "Come on stupid non-legs."

"If I was five teen years younger I could easily." Hop Pop said.

"Maybe we can build a staircase out of books?"

"Good idea." She said, "I knew you were the smart one."

Mabel grinned. She's never been called that before.

"Okay get the heavy books at the bottom, and those with legs should use them to lift," Polly ordered.

"Come on everyone!" Mabel said, "Chop Chop." She said making karate chops on her hand.

"My tongue can hold them together at the base."

"Amazing, it almost makes up for you making this situation in the first place."

"Let's get to work, gang." Hop Pop said.

The group swiftly built up a staircase, as they worked they learned that Mabel was struggling to keep her part of the tower up.

"Mabel, are you okay?" Hop Pop asked.

"It's so heavy…" Mabel was able to flip a toad on his back barehanded, how was this so hard?

"I think I should take it," Polly said.

"Are you sure?" She was larger than the baby, but not stronger she forgets.

"Don't let my size fool you, I am nothing but upper body strength." She said, flexing to show off her muscles. Mabel reluctantly let her.

"You'll have to make the leap. Are you ready?" Sprig asked. Mabel responded with a simple nod, mentally preparing herself for all of this.

Polly and the rest of the planters held tight not wanting to let the books fall down. "You almost there Mabel," Polly said. She believes that the human would have the muscles to do this.

"Careful." Hop Pop added, wanting the best for her. He knew she wasn't a good hopper and was over her head.

"You got this." Sprig said. He said as she got to the top. His mind didn't imagine for a second she would not be able to finish the job.

It was rocky. "This is as high as Mabel." Hop Pop warm.

"It is all you girl." She declares.

"Then we got to go now." Mabel bends slightly and leaps upwards, leaping above her limits. Her fingers missed her target by a few inches causing her to know she was unable to make it before her fall.

Her eyes widened in horror. She fell on the carpet of the library, with a loud and painful thud. She screamed. Her left arm felt like it was on fire.

"Oh no. Polly, Sprig helped Mabel sit up." They rushed to her,

"My arm, it's it's hurts." She said crying out, after all she had been through she broke her arm.

Hop Pop tried to comfort her. "Breath Mabel. I'm here. I'm here."

She grabbed him, "It hurt so bad." She never had a broken arm before.

"I know kiddo. I know," He looked at Sprig and Polly. "We need to find a way out to get her medical attention."

"Stupid archives guys, what moron turns their house into a library anyways?"

"Polly that is it." Hop Pop said.

"What is?" She asked, "Did you finally go senile?"

"If this is a house it has to have plumbing." Hop Pop said.

"I get to be dirty?! Oh yeah!" She said excitedly. She was enjoying the idea of going down a towel way too much.

"Yes, you do. Now go get help!" Mabel said, trying not to pay too much attention to her sore arm.

Polly rushed out, she happily swam until she saw a bit of sunlight, rushing out of the water and getting to the ground. "Don't worry Mabel I got ya." She said, rushing to Bessie. "Hop Pop wouldn't want me to do this but it's a family emergency." She said rushing the door with Bessie. This causes the door to go boom, allowing the Plantar clan to get out free.

"Get Mabel on, I'll drive," Polly said, trying to get behind the driver's seat.

"I'll drive Hop Pop, you help make sure Mabel doesn't have any broken Skin." He told his granddaughter to take the reins himself. They all held Mabel in tight to keep her safe. They all were worried for her and hoped she would recover. Mabel was crying. In so much pain and scared and her brain couldn't catch up.

They got her to the doctor, who used silkworms to make her a cast.

Mabel was thankful for this. The doctor said welcome, and told her to try not to swing that around unless she absolutely positively without a doubt had to. Mabel was brought home feeling tired. They all were. "That was awful." Mabel cried out in pain.

"I am sorry, I really did think that would be a peaceful day." Hop Pop promise.

"It would have been if it wasn't for Sprig." She blamed him since it was his fault.

"I am sorry." Mabel couldn't even face him at the moment. "I just thought if we actually experienced and did actions it would actually help." He tried to explain.

"IT DIDN'T SAVE YOUR PARENTS." Mabel blurted out, revealing something major.

"How did you know?" Sprig asked, not believing it.

Mabel stopped realizing what she just said, "I asked around when you went camping." she looked at Polly and Hop Pop's faces, "If I betray your trust I am sorry."

"Mabel, while I would rather you talk with us about it, you shouldn't feel like we are hiding things from you." Hop Pop said.

"I am sorry." Sprig said.

"I know Sprig is dumb but we can talk this…" Polly was interrupted by Mabel.

"I'm going to bed." She told the family.

"Need help?" Hop Pop asked, he hoped Mabel wouldn't do anything she would end up regretting.

"Yes, thank Hop Pop." Mabel knew he could be counted on. He helped her up as best she could. Trying not to bump into her arm. She put on a brave face and thanked him. She went to the sock draw looking at the music box. She wonders why the girls stole it, or how exactly. "Hop pop. Are you sure you don't know anything about it?"

"I don't but I got some people who might. Some contacts." He said.

Mabel held it out to him with her good arm. "Then, please. Bring it to them. I want to go home." She wanted to be like Dipper she couldn't, so having someone who could do the job made sense.

"I will, I promise." He said. "You know you're a lot more responsible than I would have thought when we first met."

"Really?" Mabel couldn't help but wonder why he thought of her originally.

"Yeah, you honestly seem like a troublemaker at first." The old frog gave out a hardy laugh at this.

Mabel snickered at that. "I guess I can see why you'd think that. I've always been told I'm too silly. But I do mean well."

"I know what it's like not to be taken seriously, when you reach a certain age people think for some reason you're just senile."

"Pah that's crazy talk

"Think it's crazy talk, hullabaloo, and nonsense too."

"For what it's worth. I think you're pretty cool."

"Thanks, you sleep tight ya hear."

Mabel hugged him and then went to bed. What happened today kept her from finding a sound sleep. She couldn't help but wonder if Sprig might be trouble, or if she just needed some time to think. She tossed and turned. Not feeling safe. What if Sprig was relentless on the trip and got them all killed? Her imagination, once her greatest friend, was now her foe, as her mind raced, of all the bad stuff that could happen. Mabel made a decision that she needed some time away to think and clear her mind. She made herself a little bag for her. She would see if the mayor would do her a little favor. She left before morning.

Polly found the note and she couldn't believe it. Mabel was gone and could be anywhere.

Sweaters for life ya.

Bessie is, isn't she.

I never seen that show.

Amphibia: Has to be Wally, and Gravity falls: Soos (If he not McGucket).

I rather doubt it.

I wish we have more of it, and I don't want to be in it.
