As Corviknight stepped into the arena, he brought out his sword, though he didn't use it to transform it like Aggron did, it began to glow with dark energy as he held it in his hand.

"Oh boy! Looks like we get to see his weapon of choice! And from the looks of it, it's a sword drawing with dark energy. Would this be the source of the strength draining energy that the rumors say it is?" Gliscor said as he watched the match.

In response, Tropius brought out his sword that was hanging from his hip, a hatchet that seemed to have flora covering the handle, seemingly alive, but at the same time, the sharp end was like metal, a mixture of both nature and metal itself.

"And we got a hatchet folks! Though what does this hatchet do I wonder? We will see!" Gliscor commented, anticipating what Tropius would do with such a weapon.

"You're in over your head, but I won't deny. Taking water from your land was a good strategy to keep myself from being captured by Aggron's detachment of soldier once. And I'll do it again with you out of the way… Or should I say, you will grant us free access to it without resistance any longer" Corviknight said, trying to taunt him.

This struck a nerve in Tropius, he was fighting for something noble, and yet this freeloader was trying to get to him.

"You're the one who will have no future, you shall bear the weight of your crimes by letting my whole tribe use you as a slave in return for all that you've done, along with all the other pokemon in this wretched kingdom" Tropius threatened Corviknight, before he took out what seemed to be a handful of seeds.

Tropius threw them in the air, as a gust of wind scattered them all over the arena.

"Hmph! What, are you setting up some sort of trap?" Corviknight said, knowing that Tropius' forte was of using grass type moves.

"It's tradition to give life and scatter it in the winds in response to make up for the death, or tragedy of another" Tropius said as he finished.

"It won't matter, because whatever that tradition is for, it will surely be for yours" Corviknight said as he flew up in the air suddenly.

Tropius followed, chasing after Corviknight and threw his hatchet at him.

Corviknight dodged to the side easily, slashing the air as a wave of aerial dark energy was headed straight for Tropius.

Tropius then ducked underneath the slash, charging right at Corviknight, seemingly reaching his hand out to him.

"Fool! You're- Gah!" Corviknight was about to deliver another attack, but felt a sharp pain as he was slashed across the back.

The hatchet that Tropius had thrown had been beckoned back, before grazing Corviknight's back.

The hatchet had returned in Tropius' hand before the tribal chief delivered a hard knee right into Corviknight's helmet face, causing the dark type to see stars.

Before Tropius can deliver another blow, Corviknight propelled himself backwards to make some distance.

"Unbelievable… That hatchet of Tropius can travel in any direction that Tropius controls!" Gliscor commented.

"Insignificant weed… You may have tricked me, but that won't work on me anymore… But you know what's funny? I get stronger with each wound you deal, so maybe you should think about how many attacks you can injure me with, before you strike" Corviknight said, delivering a flurry of dark slashes in the air.

Tropius managed to dodge some of them, but Corviknight was relentless and did not even slow down as he kept trying to deliver waves of dark type slashes in his direction.

There was no room for Tropius to counter, so he had no choice but to keep dodging, at most, he hoped that Corviknight would get tired.

"You need my land more, and once I become king I will make borders and save my whole tribe from parasites like you!" Tropius said as he kept dodging and deflecting.

Corviknight smirked and charged up some energy, before releasing it from his sword in a flurry of dark orbs that charged right at him.

Tropius dodged them all the same, but not before he felt a sharp pain as one of the slashes had wounded him, and saw an opportunity with Corviknight stopping his attacks.

"Getting tired? Because I am just beginning!" Tropius yelled before he threw his hatchet once more.

Corviknight however, caught the hatchet, and threw it right back at Tropius, which stopped right before it could hit him.

"Fool! My own weapon can never harm me!" Tropius said as he used his hatchet to try and deliver another blow at him.

Corviknight dodged, and went right behind Tropius.

"The real fool here is you…" Corviknight calmly said, before the same dark orbs that he had used were closing in on Tropius.

"W-What… But… I dodged them earlier…!" Tropius screamed, as the dark orbs had surrounded every direction he could escape from.

"While you were not looking, you didn't realize the orbs I was using were tracking you down the whole time, they didn't stop following you. Now die!" Corviknight said, as the orbs began picking up speed.

With no other choice, Tropius tried destroying the robs with his hatchet, but it was clear that he wouldn't be able to get all of them.

Tropius felt each orb that managed to attack him, causing him to fall to the ground.

But just before that, he threw his hatchet one last time, which Corviknight flew to the side, missing him.

"Did you really think the same trick would work on me? …!" Corviknight said, before he felt vines wrap on him.

Tropius had landed on his back on the arena's floor, lifting himself up with his arms before giving a snarky response.

"Yes I do" Tropius said deviously.

The hatchet had wrapped themselves around his neck, ensuring he wasn't going to be able to escape the attack.

"N-No…!" Corviknight yelled as the hatchet was coming back to his direction, right at his face.

Before he could be dealt with a life threatening blow however, he shielded himself with one arm, with the hatchet, being buried and leaving a nasty wound on it.

Not being able to keep up the flight, Corviknight was barely able to land with grace as he was forced to land on his shoulder.

Tropius recalled his weapon back towards him as the two got back up.

"The next blow I'll deliver will have to suffice to end your life, I don't care about you living or not. I fight for my people, while you seek to bring back dead gods from a bygone era" Tropius said as he pointed his hatchet at Corviknight.

Corviknight didn't feel deterred however, and looked at the nasty wound on his arm, and decided to bandage it for now with some wrappings.

"I admire you, you'll do anything just to win, just like Aggron does. But here is where you both fall short. You lack the strength to actually achieve what must be done. You may think gaining the crown will solve your problems? Think again, because your tribe will no longer be your priority, you're just being selfish by pursuing the crown" Corviknight said as he held his sword tightly, glowing with even darker energy than before, stronger from the several blows that the orbs had done on Tropius.

"I don't need your admiration, and I suggest you worry about your own problems. This kingdom is corrupt, and I will change it by force if necessary. I will heavily tax the people of this kingdom for even daring to be parasites of my land, and this time it will be our turn to take. We've given everyone what we've needed, but none of them gave us anything in return. You will see Corviknight, you will see that my conviction is more justified than yours!" Tropius yelled back.

The two then began rapidly delivering blows, their weapons clashing against each other as the two kept pressuring each other each time, waiting until one of them flinched from the contest of speed and power.

Tropius had to admit, he was getting tired the longer this went on, and felt the fiery sword's dark flames lick his skin, burning him a bit the longer they went on.

"You may be keeping up, but you will eventually tire and lose your strength!" Tropius said, feeling cautious of the black flames that was coming from Corviknight's weapon.

"Oh really? You think you can best me huh? I will relish and destroy your village when you lose!" Corviknight said, watching out in case that vine trick would appear again.

As their weapons kept hitting each other, Corviknight simultaneously summoned orbs of dark power again, homing in on Tropius as he kept attacking him.

"There is no escaping this one Tropius, you will step down this instant!" Corviknight said, certain of his victory.

The orbs were about to surround Tropius, and it seemed like it was over for him.

"You think I'm going to give up that easily? You're not the only one with a trick up their sleeve Corviknight, but don't worry, you will meet Aggron soon" Tropius said, before using his leaf storm to summon leaves, shielding him from the orbs.

"...!" Corviknight was shocked that even he could use his power while attacking as well. He thought nobody else had mastered attacking with different ways at the same time, but now he had met his match.

After the orbs had been destroyed by the AOE barrier, Tropius aimed the rest of the leaves right at Corviknight.

"Perish!" Tropius yelled, using all the power he had to finish off Corviknight.

Unfortunately for Tropius however, Corviknight had summoned dark energy that acted like a shield, but took most of the brunt of the attack as it hit, sending him flying a few feet before he slowed himself down with his foot.

Corviknight panted a bit, it was visible that he was heavily injured by now, but somehow the dark type bird smirked.

"Hmph… You still find the time to smile at a time like this? You must be really brave or stupid to think you can still win in your current state" Tropius said, unimpressed by him.

"On the contrary, I think with how much I injured you earlier? You hurt me enough to the point I think I can get rid of you with one last blow, and it'll be over" Corviknight said with confidence.

"Oh? Is that it? Then let me turn things around" Tropius said before he pulled out what seemed like a banana from his grass skirt, and began peeling and eating it.

Slowly, his wounds began to heal.

"With this, you are finished. You'll never be able to beat me. I can heal while you remain injured, and I doubt you can beat me with one blow now" Tropius said, throwing the peel away.

Corviknight frowned, this was going to be a problem, but decided to bluff anyway.

"And what makes you think that I can't kick you out of this competition even with you being fully healed?" Corviknight taunted.

Tropius gave it a thought… He did have to admit that Corviknight's attacks were all getting stronger each time he managed to hit him with one of his attacks.

What's more, getting close to that sword and handling him in close range didn't do him any favors from the burn marks on his arms.

"You're right, I can't handle you like this…" Tropius said as he closed his eyes.

"So step down now and I will be merciful to your tribe, I might even thank you for sparing me what resources you have" Corviknight said.

"... Which is why I will not fight fair" Tropius said, closing his eyes as he sensed the seeds he had thrown earlier.

The seeds all began growing rapidly, making a jungle out of the arena.

"What the… I can barely see everybody! The whole arena is covered in plant life! It's like Tropius himself brought his home directly into the arena! I'm afraid I might get lost! Or worse, get attacked in the confusion if I enter!" Gliscor said.

"What the hell… Show yourself coward!" Corviknight said as he searched around for Tropius.

Suddenly, a vine moved and shot towards him, trying to restrain him.

"You little…" Corviknight said, before he cut the vine.

As soon as he slashed at the vine however, another took it's place, which he did… And another… And another.

"You want our resources so badly? You'll get it. Feel the wrath of nature!" Corviknight heard Tropius say from somewhere in the makeshift jungle.

"You cheap bast… N-No…!" Corviknight realized a bunch of flowers opening up with weird seeds, before they all began shooting at him.

Corviknight screamed as he was hit with several seed bombs, as several explosions could be heard by the audience as they watched what seemed to be small explosions in the jungle.

Corviknight managed to survive, several vines holding his arms and legs wide open, with him refusing to back down, he looked like he could faint any moment now.

"You're finished Tropius, victory is mine. Choose your words carefully, or else I might do something I'll regret. Either way, I can kill you with one last command from this jungle I created, and you can't see me. You lost this match" Tropius said, hiding behind one of the trees and taking it easy, even eating fruit.

As Corviknight was still restrained, he felt stronger… Breaking all the vines in one pull, and then flapping his wings very hard, creating not just a gust of wind, but something even stronger.

"You seem to forget for a flying type, even nature can get destroyed by itself!" Corviknight howled as he began to create a hurricane in the whole arena.

"W-Whoa… We're experiencing a whole hurricane here folks! But at least we can now see inside it…!" Gliscor said as he hung onto an audience member's chair, nearly flying off.

Even Tropius was having a hard time, the tree he was leaning against had been uprooted and flown into the hurricane.

"I don't even have to use my strongest attack on you now that you've hurt me enough. I got to give you credit for that, but your pitiful tribe will have to fend for itself. Goodbye, Tropius" Corviknight said, as he dragged his sword on the ground and spun before slashing upwards, creating another hurricane but with a dark energy surrounding it..

"Ngh… No… This can't be happening…!" Tropius tried to fly, to get away from both hurricanes, but he was being sucked in so hard that he couldn't escape, and was trapped inside the first hurricane.

"Oh no! Does Tropius have a way to get out of this one!? He's got to right?" Gliscor asked the audience.

Even the crowd was unsure about what was going to happen, but Tropius looked like he was getting dizzy, and being hit by the debris was not helping at all.

"Your hopes are for naught, I win" Corviknight said as the dark hurricane had merged with the first one.

Tropius screamed as he was hit by several powerful dark type gales of air, with each of them might as well be as strong as one of Corviknight's strongest blows.

The crowd felt a bit concerned as the hurricane died down, and saw Tropius crash back on the ground, dizzy, but barely conscious.

"Let's count this down… 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8… 9… and… 10! Our winner and potential king is… CORVIKNIGHT!" Gliscor said, announcing the winner of the match.

"Hmph… And all I had to do was bluff and let myself get hurt to get an easy victory" Corviknight said, scoffing at Tropius' form.

Gliscor went over to Corviknight.

"Corviknight my good bird, how does it feel to win this match? Were you anticipating everything that happened? Did you plan this all out when you fought him?" Gliscor asked him.

"I gotta admit, this pitiful tribal chief thought he could take me? I let everything happen. You even explained that I get stronger the more hurt I was. If only he took what you said seriously, he would have stood a better chance. And of course, since I let myself actually get to the point of being hurt but still in this damn game, I was able to take him out seriously. So remember this, the rest of you should fear me, because I will be a danger, no matter how close you are to winning, I can take your hopes of victory away from you in a few attacks, no matter how much you think you're doing well against me" Corviknight said, pointing at all the other contestants.

A lot of the others were unfazed, but for Simisear and Audino? They gulped… Corviknight was right, if they fought him, he would just grow more dangerous the closer they are to beating him.

"Amazing! And what about Tropius? Do you intend to humiliate him just like Appletun did to Aggron?" Gliscor asked.

"Of course… I plan to humiliate him, that is a promise. And as for my rival, he has gotten so low that I honestly find it embarrassing to associate myself with him anymore" Corviknight said as he thought of Aggron.

"Well… Heh, I suppose I can't blame you with what history you have together… But let's not delay, it's PUNISHMENT TIIIIIIIIIIME!" Gliscor said as Corviknight smirked, and turned his attention to the still dazed Tropius.
