You've turned back to being nice.

Of course you did. That was quite predictable.

You let the goat woman hug you after she tried to trap you inside the Ruins forever and then threw fireballs at you. You listened to the skeleton's pointless jokes and appreciated the other skeleton's what-he-calls-puzzles. You gave the royal guard leader her water after she tried to kill you for nothing and you didn't even blame her for her hilarious defeat. You visited everyone in their houses and became friends with them. You were gentle to the royal scientist, even after learning that she had put you in life-threatening danger by creating her killer roboter just so she could act as your rescuer and feel a little less like the trash she is. You hugged my best friend who had not only failed to destroy some humans for me, but who also had not hesitated a second to kill his own father. And of course, you spared each and every monster along your way, while none of them had spared you.

In other words, you performed as a perfect pacifist once again. You must feel so great. But... actually you don't, am I not right? You lack all those deep emotions. In your first pacifist run, I could feel a lot was going on inside you although I was still very weak. Now, although I've become much stronger since then, I sense almost nothing. No happiness. No playfulness. Not even fear or sadness. You act more like a roboter which has been programmed to mercy everyone. You act soulless. And that's just the point.

You are soulless. Your SOUL is mine.

But now you did it. You saved my best friend, followed the monsters through the barrier and told goaty that you wanted to stay with her. Finally, at the end of your quest, you allow yourself a gleam of hope again, and now that goaty has brought you to bed and put a pie onto the floor for you, you even manage to fall asleep peacefully with a smile on your face.

When you wake up the next morning, the first thing you do is to eat a big piece of pie as breakfast. It tastes excellent. With a good mood, although you still feel tired as if you hadn't slept much, you get out of your bed and your sleeping room and search for goaty, who must surely have long gotten up by now.

That's when you find the fresh pile of dust in the kitchen.

Well, let's just say this little discovery abruptly changes your mood. You try to unleash a scream which doesn't come out of you, and you run out of the kitchen, out of the house, out of... wait, there's another pile of dust on the street. Be careful, partner. You almost overlooked it! You spew in the middle of the street, directly next to the dust. What a pity, thinking how much love goaty must have put into your delicious breakfast pie. It seems that you can't bring yourself to move one step further. But there are so many more attractions to see out there! Instead, you slowly go down on your knees and finally fall unconscious.

...

...

...

Now that's kind of boring. I give you a little bit of my power, just enough to wake you up again.

"Everyone?" is the first thing you whisper, scarcely audible. Fortunately I don't need ears to hear you. You don't even have to speak to communicate with me..

"Of course, partner", I reply softly from inside of you.

"You... you know... that I can... reset this..."

"I'm counting on it."

"So you can do it... again...?"

"Good guess, congrat!"

"But why... why are you doing this...?"

I don't bother replying to this. Isn't it obvious? The plan couldn't be simpler. You'll save them all again, I'll kill them all again. And again. And again. Until I'm bored and you're out of willpower. As soon as my determination outpowers yours, I can stop you from resetting, leave you alone in the Underground and finally move on to the next world to destroy.

After waiting for my answer for a few minutes without getting one, you reset the timeline and make another perfect pacifist run. In the end, when goaty brings you to bed, you don't allow yourself to sleep. Haha. That's your ingenious plan to stop me from taking over? First of all, you will have to sleep sometime anyway. And second of all, I don't need you to sleep to take over. I can do it at any time. So now you will have to watch at full consciousness how I kill them.

You reset again.

This time, however, you choose not to stay with the monsters in the end, maybe hoping to be far enough away from them before I can do any harm. Needless to say that I still turn them all to dust.

You reset.

During this run, you do not go into the True Lab. This changes something. Goaty and the others don't prevent you and the king from fighting later in the throne room. In the end, you can leave the Underground, leaving a dead goatman behind. I don't interfere. I want to see if you can live with this compromise. Almost all monsters saved, but you'll never see them again and they're still trapped underground. You live with it for three days. Then your bad conscience wins and doesn't allow you to resign yourself with this ending. I knew it.

You reset.

I'm starting to get bored. When goaty tries to hug you in the Ruins, I quickly take over and ram your knife into her chest.

You reset.

You immediately throw your knife away and proceed without a weapon. I let you leave the Ruins and walk through Snowdin and Waterfall without interfering. When you escape Undyne to Hotland and she catches her heat-stroke, I take over and pour out all the water of the water cooler in front of her eyes.

You reset.

Now you forget to throw the knife away. This time, I take over during your date with Papyrus. His final words were: "WOWIE! YOU HAVE REDDENED YOUR EYES FOR ME! THE COLOUR OF LOVE! HOW ROMANTIC! AND YOU HAVE BROUGHT A KNIFE SO WE CAN SHARE OUR SPAGHETTI!"

You reset.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention all your senseless bidding and pleading for my mercy during all those runs. Now, however, you seem at the end of your tether. You fall down to your knees as you realize that you will actually never get a happy end again. For a few minutes, you're just sitting there on the bed of flowers, staring upwards into a gleam of light from the surface. I wait for you to accept your defeat, but instead, you decide to go for the confrontation.

"So you're Chara.", you mutter slowly. "You're the one who poisoned and killed yourself just for revenge. Why? Why did you give up living for that? You were a human, weren't you? Why did you throw your life away? I can't understand it!"

"I don't know anymore. It's too long ago. I don't really remember how it was to be a human. And I don't really want to."

"In this case", you reply and I can sense a sudden new wave of determination inside you, "there's only one solution, right?"

You don't speak it out loud, but I can sense all your thoughts anyway, so I know what your "solution" is.

I can't help it. I'm roaring with laughter, and I have to use your body for it. But of course, that idea is very much your style, isn't it?

You want to solve it like a true pacifist.

You want to save me. Me and my poor SOUL.

That gives me a completely new challenge. How the heck can I punish you for being so foolish?

While I think about that, you can again have the control over your body as you slowly stand up, ready to go through the Underground once again.
