Title: Of Nature and Robotics

Opening up near a pair of doors within the Orb Duel School, Lisa was looking around cautiously for any signs of punks and/or delinquents who might try attacking her. So far, there were no obstacles in her way, which was a very good thing…for them. Regardless, Lisa still had to remain vigilant; believing an ambush could be lurking around any corner, and so used some techniques she picked up from her Uncle about stealth and scouting the area around her, which, again, led her to a pair of doors.

"This is so odd," murmured Lisa, "I can't believe how barren and quiet the school is with nobody else wandering around. It feels almost foreign to me now. Still, I have to press on; this whole school is counting on us to free it from Sergey and his minions," She continued to stare at the doors, "I guess this place is as good as any to start."

After taking a deep breath, Lisa opened the doors and found the gym. Inside, some punks were seen making a mess of the place, such as knocking exercise stuff over, etc.. Frowning, Lisa entered the gym and allowed the doors to slam themselves shut, which naturally caught the attention of the gym punks as they stopped what they were doing and turned to face the intruder.

"Hey, who's there!?" demanded Gym Punk 1.

"Why, it's a girl with pink hair, that's what!" Gym Punk 2 pointed out.

"Nah, man! More like it's the 'princess' of Orb!" proclaimed Gym Punk 3, grinning deviously.

"Who are you guys calling a princess?" huffed Lisa, "I'm no princess at all—in fact, I hate being called a princess. I'm someone who was competing in my first major Duel Monsters tournament ever and came close to claiming the championship title, at least until you lousy jerks and your boss attacked and took over this school for no apparent reason!" She pointed at the group of enemies hatefully, "That's unforgivable, and I'll make sure you all pay the price for it."

"Enough talk now!" snapped Gym Punk 3, before giving a command to his allies, "Let's get her, boys!"

With that said, the three punks immediately lunged at Lisa, but she slipped through two of them and flipped their legs back, causing them to trip forwards onto the hard floor. But before she could react, Gym Punk 3 grabbed her from behind, and, using his brute strength, held her in a tight grip around her torso, trapping her arms at her sides. The other two punks quickly got back up after their fall and moved in to further restrain Lisa. Thinking fast, Lisa threw her head back hard and smashed into Gym Punk 3's face, making him stumble back slightly while clutching onto his nose/mouth, and, using the momentum, she leaned back and brought both her legs up, delivering two powerful kicks with her metal boots right into the faces of the two punks. The force of her attack caused the punk holding her to trip backwards and fall down, breaking his grip on her. Getting to her feet, she loomed over her fallen attacker with a sneer.

"Had enough, or are you thirsty for more?" Lisa challenged harshly.

"I think you've shown plenty already," responded Gym Punk 3, seemingly smirking without a single care in the world, "Besides, even though I'm down and out, the view is more than worth it."

Lisa quickly realized that where she was standing gave the third gym punk beneath her a perfect view up her skirt, which, to state the obvious, got her explosively mad as her face turned bright red. Bringing her foot crashing against Gym Punk 3's face in reflex, she knocked the peeper out while leaving a large foot mark in the middle of his face and swirls for eyes.

"Lousy perv…" spat Lisa, before, quite literally, spitting on her defeated opponent. Recomposing herself, she turned towards the lone arrogant-looking punk with short blonde hair, who was standing nearby and staying out of the brief fight, "Now, it's just you and me, buster. Ready for me to give you a nasty bump or two? Just say the word, and I'll make it quick and 'mostly' painless."

"That won't be necessary," The punk, named Miguel Aiman, declined, shaking his head. He then walked over to a nearby table and picked up a Duel Disk that was laying on it, "I'm far more interested in engaging with you in a duel."

"A duel?" repeated Lisa.

"Yes indeed, a duel. If you manage to beat me, I'll give you a piece of information of your choice—actually, as much info as you'd like. However…" continued Miguel, as his mouth formed a very sly grin, "If 'I' happen to win the duel, then you won't be leaving anytime soon."

He finished that part while eyeing Lisa up from head to toe. Upon hearing that condition, Lisa overheard a locking sound, to which she turned around and noticed that the rest of the gang were back on their feet and had sealed all of the gym's exits, effectively trapping her inside with them.

"So, I'm stuck in here with all of you?" said Lisa darkly, before turning to face Miguel with a cold, sinister smile now on her own face, "Or, perhaps… are you all stuck in here with 'me'?"

"Pfft! Whatever," dismissed Miguel, activating his Duel Disk, "Come on, princess of Orb!"

Annoyed over being called a princess again, Lisa activated her own Duel Disk in response, signaling the start of the duel.

"Duel!" Both duelists announced at once.

(elsewhere…)

Within another hallway of the school, Ms. Simmons and Mr. Kisaka both were leading Zack and David around to try and find the students and staff being held captive. So far, they weren't having the best of luck. During the search, David's mind began to trail back to his final conversation with Gabriella before he and everyone else left for Orb.

"Dave?" pondered Zack, when he saw the thoughtful look on his friend's face, "Is something the matter?"

This got the attention of both Ms. Simmons and Mr. Kisaka, as they stopped leading and turned to face David with curiosity and concern all written on their respective faces. Initially uncomfortable by the looks he was getting from people he greatly respected, David surrendered and decided to make a confession.

"Well… It's about my decision to come here," he admitted.

"What?" pressed Mr. Kisaka.

"Your decision to come here?" added Ms. Simmons.

"Dave, what are you talking about?" asked Zack, talking a little bit hard.

"Let me explain," David requested, trying to expand on his explanation, "This mission is the biggest challenge I have ever faced yet, and, if I may be so bold, I cannot help but feel uncertain if I'm up for it. After seeing Gabriella's reaction especially, I'm starting to second guess whether I would be able to follow up on the promise I made that I would return," He then looked down at the floor, "Zack-senpai, Erica-senpai, Ledonir-senpai… I want an honest answer from the three of you… Did I really make a big mistake in making such a promise to someone who thinks the world of me?"

There was no immediate response from Zack, Ms. Simmons, and Mr. Kisaka, but it was clear the three felt sympathetic towards David. All of a sudden, there were sounds of quiet snickering going on.

"(なんだ?) Nanda? (What?)" uttered David in Japanese.

"We're not alone," realized Ms. Simmons.

While a fairly obvious statement, she was right about that. On cue, several more punks started showing up, having overheard and/or eavesdropping on the confession made by David. Some of them even started making fun of him over it…

"Awww," Classroom Punk 1 said in a mocking way, "Did you hear that, boys?"

"Is he too scared to be here?" threw in Classroom Punk 2.

"Wah ha ha ha ha ha ha! What a crybaby!" cracked Classroom Punk 3 meanly.

And the other punks burst into loud, obnoxious, and cruel laughter over their statements about David. As expected, the aqua blue-haired boy was far from being happy with his feelings on the matter being insulted. Before he could say anything about it (or, rather, ask where the remaining students of Orb were), somebody else managed to beat him to it…

"That's enough of that, you guys!" A male voice called out.

Emerging from behind a corner was a punk with orange-like hair and seemed to have a sense of honor. Rather surprisingly to David, Zack, Ms. Simmons, and Mr. Kisaka, the punk, named Heine Westenfluss, was shown to actually not be very happy with what his comrades were saying about David.

"Just remember what your objectives are," said Heine firmly, "Under Sergey's direct orders, we are to make sure nobody finds the captives. And that means we have to defeat these intruders."

"You know where the students and staff are?" interrupted Ms. Simmons, which earned her a nod from Heine.

"In that case, you will lead us to them!" demanded David.

"Unfortunately, I cannot do that," refused Heine, shaking his head, "Instead, I'll make you a simple offer," As he laid out the terms, David, Zack, Ms. Simmons, and Mr. Kisaka all listened, "If you can defeat me in a duel, I'll take you to some of the prisoners without fuss," He frowned a little bit at what he said next, "If I end up winning the duel, however, then…you guys will be our prisoners, and it won't be a fun experience."

"Hold on there a sec," cut in Zack, frowning suspiciously, "How do we know you'll keep your word on your promise?"

"Hm?" quizzed Heine.

"We've made enemies with a lot of people who made similar promises only to go back on them whenever it suited their purposes," recalled Zack, clearly not trusting Heine, "What if you are not any different from them?"

"Zack-senpai, I need you to stay out of this," requested David, causing Zack to stop talking and look slightly miffed. The aqua blue-haired boy readjusted the glasses on his face and gazed at Heine, "These are terms I'm going to accept. This guy might break his promise, but we really don't know that for certain."

Zack growled a little bit, but ultimately found himself agreeing with his friend's wise words. With that being said and done, he (Zack) stepped out of the way as David motioned his right arm about and activated his Duel Disk.

"It's time to duel!" he declared (LP: 4000).

"Come!" added Heine, with his Duel Disk already activated (LP: 4000).

And thus, a second duel commenced.

"The first turn is yours, if you so wish to take it," offered Heine.

"Here I go!" nodded David, accepting the offer while drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn One: David Xadashi (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Morphtronic Cameran", "Morphtronic Smartfon", "Morphtronic Celfon", "Morphtronic Rusty Engine", "Gadget Driver", and "Morphtronics, Scramble!"

His drawn card was the 'Morphtronics, Scramble!' Trap Card, which pleased him. The rest of his hand, meanwhile, contained 'Morphtronic Cameran', 'Morphtronic Smartfon', 'Morphtronic Celfon', 'Morphtronic Rusty Engine', and 'Gadget Driver'.

"My first card!" announced David, taking a card ('Morphtronic Celfon') from his hand and placing it onto his Duel Disk, "I Summon 'Morphtronic Celfon' in Attack Position!"

Appearing onto the field was the large, yellow cellphone, which morphed into its robot form (Level: 1/ATK: 100/DEF: 100).

"I activate 'Celfon's' Attack Position effect!" continued David, "Once per turn, during my Main Phase: I can roll a six-sided die," As he explained the rest of the effect, the screen on 'Morphtronic Celfon's' torso lit up and started blinking random numbers about in Russian Roulette-like style before slowing down, "excavate that many cards from the top of my Deck, and if I do, Special Summon 1 excavated Level 4 or lower 'Morphtronic' monster, ignoring its Summoning conditions, also shuffle the rest into the Deck."

The screen stopped blinking numbers, with the ultimate result being a three.

"Good! I got a three" acknowledged David, drawing three cards and looking them over, "Now I get to reveal the top three cards of my Deck and Special Summon a Level 4 or lower 'Morphtronic' monster from among them."

The cards were 'Morphtronic Map' (Spell Card), 'Morphtronic Datatron' (Effect Monster Card), and 'Extra Shave Reborn' (Trap Card). Without wasting a second, David took the middle card and held it out.

"I Special Summon the Level 3 'Morphtronic Datatron'!" he announced.

Appearing onto the field was the large orange lighter which morphed into its robotic humanoid form (Level: 3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 600). After shuffling the remaining two cards back into his Deck, David continued with his turn—and what better way to do so by using 'Morphtronic Datatron'?

"I activate 'Datatron's' Attack Position effect!" yelled David, while holding up his 'Morphtronic Datatron' Effect Monster Card, "Once per turn: I can Tribute 1 monster; I must inflict 600 damage to my opponent."

'Morphtronic Celfon' immediately turned into a ball of fire, launching and striking Heine and inflicting slight damage to him (LP: 4000 → 3400).

"Then," continued David, "I'll activate the effect of 'Gadget Driver'!" He took a card ('Gadget Driver') from his hand and sent it to his GY before looking up at his opponent, "(Quick Effect): I can send this card from my hand to the GY, then target any number of 'Morphtronic' monsters I control; I must change the battle position of those targets."

'Morphtronic Datatron' turned from its robotic humanoid form back into its lighter-like form (ATK: 1200 → DEF: 600).

"With it now protecting me, you won't damage my LP so easily," remarked David, "However, by switching its current position, I can also access its Defense Position effect!" 'Morphtronic Datatron' started to fire off another jet of flames, "Once per turn: I can inflict 300 damage to my opponent."

"300 more damage!" recoiled Heine.

From there, he got hit by the flames, which caused him to wince before the fire attack died down shortly after (LP: 3400 → 3100).

"T-That was a good first turn," admitted Heine weakly.

"There's still more!" As he said that, David slotted a card into his Duel Disk, "From my hand, I'll activate the Equip Spell, 'Morphtronic Rusty Engine'!"

"'Morphtronic Rusty Engine'?"

"It's basically a double-edged sword," The aqua blue-haired boy explained, as the 'Morphtronic Rusty Engine' Spell Card materialized face-up on the field. From there, a wire materialized from the face-up card and extended until it plugged into the back of 'Morphtronic Boomboxen', energizing it considerably, "I must equip only to a 'Morphtronic' monster. If the equipped monster is destroyed: I must inflict damage to each player equal to its original ATK," He then took another card from his hand and slotted it into a Spell & Trap Zone on his Duel Disk, "I Set one card and end my turn."

A face-down card materialized on the field.

"It's my turn!" declared Heine, drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Two: Heine Westenfluss (LP: 3100)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Gate Blocker", "Spam Mail", "Vigilante Gata", "Skill Successor", "Distrain Card", and "Vigilante Zeni"

A few seconds after looking at his drawn card, he placed it onto a Monster Zone on his Duel Disk.

"I Summon 'Vigilante Zeni'!" Heine went on, as the device lit up.

Appearing onto the field was a small samurai in a blue robe with a metallic eyepatch (Level: 4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200).

"Next, I'll activate my monster's effect!" As Heine spoke, 'Vigilante Zeni' allowed its ATK to drop down to 0 (ATK: 1600 → 0), just before a new monster began to appear, "I can make this card's ATK become 0; I must Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower 'Vigilante' monster from my hand. Come, 'Vigilante Gata'!"

Appearing onto the field was a small robot with red sirens on its head (Level: 3/ATK: 800/DEF: 800).

"My Level 3 'Vigilante Gata' tunes Level 4 'Vigilante Zeni'!" commanded Heine.

'Vigilante Gata' spun around and around before turning into three Synchro Rings, which overwhelmed 'Vigilante Zeni' and turned him into four orbs of light as a Summon Chant followed…

"Cut through the twisted black fog of doubt and reveal the truth!" chanted Heine, as the symbols 4 + 3 = 7 were shown briefly just before the four orbs of light within the three Synchro Rings turned into a massive beam of light, "Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 7! 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!"

Appearing onto the field out of the beam of light, was a robotic samurai with a type of coin shooter on its back (Level: 7/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000).

"The first effect of 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!" declared Heine, taking a card ('Skill Successor') from his hand and sending it to the GY, "I can send 1 card from my hand to the GY, then target 1 monster my opponent controls; I must destroy it, and if I do, inflict 400 damage to my opponent!"

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' fired a round of gold coins from his shooter towards 'Morphtronic Datatron', striking the monster and causing it to explode from destruction. David braced himself from the explosion's backlash as he took minor damage (LP: 4000 → 3600).

"But the effect of 'Morphtronic Rusty Engine' now activates!" reminded David, "Since the equipped 'Morphtronic' monster was destroyed, both players will take damage equal to its original ATK!"

The face-up 'Morphtronic Rusty Engine' exploded, clouding the field with a thick layer of smoke and causing both players to take damage respectively (LP: 3600 → 2400)(LP: 3100 → 1900). Soon, the smoke faded away, and Heine was shown to not be impressed by his opponent's attempt at counterattacking.

"With only 2400 LP remaining, you won't be able to survive a direct attack from my monster," criticized Heine, before entering the Battle Phase, "'Marksman Heiji Type 0', attack the opposing player directly!"

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' obeyed, firing another round of coins, this time at David.

"That loser had no chance!" jeered Classroom Punk 2, "There's no way he can get out of an attack like that!"

"Boys, let's get ready to haul some prisoners to the basement!" announced Classroom Punk 3, "We're gonna have a good time torturing them for information and so much more!"

Or so they both thought…

"Reverse card, open!" announced David, as his Set card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "'Morphtronics, Scramble!', activate! When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack while I control no monsters: I must target the attacking monster; I must negate the attack, and if I do, Special Summon 1 'Morphtronic' monster from my hand."

A barrier formed around David, preventing the coins from hitting him. When the attack ended, he took another card ('Morphtronic Cameran') from his hand and readied it in-between the index and middle fingers of his right hand.

"With your attack negated, I'll Special Summon 'Morphtronic Cameran' in Defense Position!" David went on, placing the card onto his Duel Disk (sideways).

Appearing onto the field was a large, red and black camera-like monster (Level: 2/ATK: 800/DEF: 600).

"For now, I'm very well protected from your 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!" proclaimed David.

"This is no ordinary monster, pal," cut in Heine, rather sharply, "No ordinary monster!"

"Huh?"

"You don't seem to realize that the first effect of 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' is not a 'Once per turn'-based effect," The orange-haired punk pointed out, before taking a card ('Spam Mail') from his hand, holding it out, and then discarding it, "This time, I'll use my monster to destroy your 'Morphtronic Cameran'!"

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' threw more coins, this time at 'Morphtronic Cameran'. When the coin projectiles hit the target, nothing seemed to happen to the camera-like robot monster.

"What?!" gasped Heine.

"That's too bad," grinned David, "Just to throw some words back at you, my 'Morphtronic Cameran' is also no ordinary monster; it has an effect while it is in Defense Position," While explaining the effect, Heine listened in frustration, "'Morphtronic' monsters on the field cannot be targeted by effects. It means you cannot use your 'Marksman Heiji Type 0's' effect to blow 'Cameran' up or practically any of my monsters."

"Tch… I guess that's very smart…" winced Heine, but only briefly, "Still, I'm not finished! The card I sent from my hand to the GY was an Equip Spell called 'Spam Mail', and I'll use this time to activate its second effect!" He drew a card, "If this card is sent from the hand, Deck, or field to the GY by a card effect: I can draw 1 card, and if I do, reveal it, then if my opponent controls a face-up card of that type (Monster, Spell, or Trap), they return 1 of them to the hand."

His drawn card was a Trap Card called 'Broken Blocker', to which he held out to show the opponent.

"I've drawn 'Broken Blocker', a Trap, so you must return a face-up Trap Card you control back to your hand," Heine stated, as David listened, "But since you don't control one, you return nothing to your hand," He entered his End Phase, "From there, I'll settle my turn here."

(elsewhere…)

In the gym, the duel between Lisa and Miguel was beginning now.

"The first turn is yours, hot shot!" offered Lisa.

"Well, you're too kind," retorted Miguel, "It's my turn!" He drew his first card, "Draw!"

Turn One: Miguel Aiman (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Ojama Duo", "Ojama Red", "Ojamuscle", "Ojama Blue", "Angel Baton", and "Ojamagic"

His drawn card was a Spell Card called 'Ojamagic', and the rest of his hand contained 'Ojama Duo', 'Ojama Red', 'Ojamuscle', 'Ojama Blue', and 'Angel Baton'. Adding the drawn card into his hand, Miguel took and held out the 'Angel Baton' Spell Card.

"I activate the Spell Card, 'Angel Baton'!" began Miguel, then drawing two cards and sending one card ('Ojamagic') from his hand to the GY, "I must draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card. And by discarding it, I'll activate the effect of the 'Ojamagic' sent to the GY!" As he explained away, three cards ejected from his Deck, which he took and added into his hand—which now contained 'Ojama Duo', 'Ojama Red', 'Ojamuscle', 'Ojama Blue', 'Ojama Yellow', 'Ojama Black', 'Ojama Green', 'Ojama Trio', and 'Ojama Country', "If this card is sent from the hand or the field to the GY: I must add 1 each of 'Ojama Green', 'Ojama Yellow', and 'Ojama Black' from my Deck to my hand."

"S-Say what?" recoiled Lisa, good or bad, it was unknown, "'Ojama' monsters?!"

"I see you haven't heard of these rare monsters," teased Miguel, taking a card ('Ojama Red') from his hand and placing it onto his Duel Disk, "Well, let me show you what they are like in terms of both skill and power!" On cue, the Monster Card known as 'Ojama Red' materialized face-up on the field, "I Summon 'Ojama Red' in Attack Position!"

Appearing from the face-up card and onto the field, was a small, red creature dressed in a yellow cape and, what appeared to be, a red speedo (Level: 2/ATK: 0/DEF: 1000). Despite her earlier shock, Lisa actually didn't look scared of this monster. If anything, she had a look on her face that mixed both annoyance and confusion together into one emotion.

"You're kidding me, right?" deadpanned Lisa, "A monster with 0 ATK? I was expecting your monster to be scarier."

"Scary, huh?" grinned Miguel, "If you want scary, then watch this!" While speaking on, 'Ojama Red' started doing a dance of sorts, "When 'Ojama Red' is Normal Summoned: I can Special Summon up to 4 'Ojama' monsters from my hand in Attack Position," He then motioned his left arm (with the Duel Disk) about, "Come out, 'Ojama Yellow', 'Ojama Black', 'Ojama Green', and 'Ojama Blue'!"

From a puff of pink smoke on the field, four more silly-looking creatures of different colors (Yellow, Black, Green, and Blue respectively) in pairs of red speedos appeared as the smoke died down (Level: 2/ATK: 0/DEF: 1000) x4. All five 'Ojama' monsters posed together in fighting stances in an attempt to intimidate the opponent. An unamused Lisa, meanwhile, was unsure of whether she should burst out laughing or simply cringe over facing those monsters. Ultimately, she merely closed her eyes, brought her right hand to her forehead, and let out an exasperated sigh.

"There's more!" announced Miguel, taking a card ('Ojama Country') from his hand and bracing it near the unopened Field Spell Zone, "From my hand, I'll activate the Field Spell, 'Ojama Country'!"

The scenery around them transformed into a village filled with many more 'Ojama' creatures going about in their antics.

"Are you freakin' kidding me?" groaned Lisa, becoming even more annoyed, "Are those things of yours even real monsters?"

"Once per turn: I can send 1 'Ojama' card from my hand to the GY; I must Special Summon 1 'Ojama' monster from my GY," explained Miguel, not paying any attention to his opponent's frustration or the insults aimed at his monsters, "However, what I'm going for is the second effect of my card…" He pointed at his five monsters, "While I control an 'Ojama' monster, I must switch the original ATK/DEF of all monsters on the field!" A cocky grin formed on his face, "As a result, my five 'Ojama' monsters will have their DEF set to 0, and their ATK set to 1000!"

The five 'Ojama Brothers' flexed their cartoony muscles as they grew stronger (ATK: 0 → 1000) x5. It was also then two Set cards materialized on the field behind the five monsters.

"I Set two cards and end my turn," The voice of Miguel finished, as he was shown easing up his battle stance, "Now tell me, princess of Orb, are you capable of fighting the 'Ojama' archetype? Just remember that your own monsters will have their ATK/DEF switched with each other like my own monsters."

"Oh, I'll take those scuzzbuckets of yours down, lickity split!" insisted Lisa, drawing a card, "It's my turn! Draw!"

Turn Two: Lisa Drake (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Naturia Pineapple", "Naturia Stinkbug", "Naturia Synthesis", "Naturia Guardian", "Naturia Cherries", and "Vision Synchro"

Her drawn card was a Trap Card known as 'Vision Synchro'.

"Sweet! I've drawn 'Vision Synchro'!" thought Lisa, looking mighty pleased as she then looked at her opening hand, "And I have an excellent hand, too."

Her hand contained 'Naturia Pineapple', 'Naturia Stinkbug', 'Naturia Synthesis', 'Naturia Guardian', and 'Naturia Cherries'. Lisa added the drawn card into her hand, and then took out another to play.

"From my hand," she announced, raising her card up, "I'll Summon-"

"Stop right there!" interrupted Miguel, causing Lisa to stop mid-Summon, "Before you play a card, allow me to activate one of my face-down cards."

"Face-down cards?" repeated Lisa, before scowling, "What if I were to say no thanks?"

"I insist you let me!" As he said that, Miguel pointed to the left Set card, causing it to flip face-up and reveal itself, "I activate a Trap, 'Ojama Trio'!" He smiled while explaining the effect, "I must Special Summon 3 'Ojama Tokens' to my opponent's field in Defense Position. They cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon, and each time 1 is destroyed, its controller takes 300 damage."

Lisa watched as copies of 'Ojama Yellow' (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0), 'Ojama Black' (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0), and 'Ojama Green' (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0) each appeared on her own field.

"'Ojama Tokens'?!" cried Lisa.

"And there's still more!" reminded Miguel, as the right Set card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "Next, I'll activate a Trap, 'Ojama Duo'!" While he went over that card, Lisa gasped while looking shocked, "I must Special Summon 2 'Ojama Tokens' to my opponent's field in Defense Position," On cue, copies of 'Ojama Blue' (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0) and 'Ojama Red' (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0) appeared on the opponent's field, "These Tokens cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon, and each time 1 is destroyed, its controller takes 300 damage!"

The five 'Ojama Tokens' turned and all did a little dance for Lisa to try and amuse her, who was left humorously stunned by what happened just now.

"I just blocked off all your Monster Zones!" Miguel bragged, "That means you can't Summon anymore monsters until those Tokens are gone. But each time they go down through destruction, you'll take 300 damage per Token!"

Lisa growled in annoyance as she looked at her hand again before taking two cards from it and slotted them into separate Spell & Trap Zones on her Duel Disk.

"In that case, I'll Set two cards face-down and end my turn," concluded Lisa, as two face-down cards materialized on the field in-front of her, "This wasn't what I was hoping for on my first turn…"

Alas, it was what it was…

"It's my turn!" announced Miguel, drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Three: Miguel Aiman (LP: 4000)
Deck: 48
Current Hand (2): "Ojamuscle" and "Polymerization"

The card drawn was the 'Polymerization' Spell Card.

"It must suck that you can't Summon any monsters at the moment," Miguel went on, "You're basically like a victim left stuck in a maze," He then held out his drawn card, "I activate a Spell Card from my hand, 'Polymerization'! I fuse 'Ojama Yellow', 'Ojama Black', and 'Ojama Green' together into my ultimate monster, 'Ojama King'!"

'Ojama Yellow', 'Ojama Black', and 'Ojama Green' each were absorbed into the Fusion Vortex behind them (as a result of the 'Polymerization' Spell Card being on the field). Once the Fusion Summon sequence had finished, appearing on the field was a huge, white 'Ojama' monster wearing a crown, a green cape, and (of course) a red speedo (Level: 6/ATK: 3000/DEF: 0).

"Dammit! Without a monster of my own, I'm in a position of being directly attacked!" thought Lisa.

"Next, I'll activate the second effect of 'Ojama Duo'!" declared Miguel, as a card ('Ojama Duo') ejected from his GY and faded away into oblivion, "During either player's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: I can banish this card from my GY; I must Special Summon 2 'Ojama' monsters with different names from my Deck."

"Grr… Not again with those creepy monsters!" complained Lisa.

"That's right," confirmed Miguel, taking two cards ('Ojama Yellow' and 'Ojama Pink') from his Deck, "From my Deck, I'll Special Summon 'Ojama Pink' and another copy of 'Ojama Yellow'!"

Appearing onto the field was another copy of 'Ojama Yellow' along with a rather fat, pink 'Ojama' with three additional eyes—one on his head, the other two by his ears (Level: 2/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0) x2.

"While having an ATK of 1000 and 3000 won't be enough, I'm gonna change that with this card!" continued Miguel, holding another card ('Ojamuscle') out, "Spell Card, 'Ojamuscle'! I must target 1 face-up 'Ojama King' I control; I must…" Focus went towards the 'Ojama' monsters on Lisa's field, then the other 'Ojama' monsters on his own field, "…destroy all 'Ojama' monsters on the field, except the targeted 'Ojama King', and if I do, it gains 1000 ATK for each monster destroyed this way!"

"So, every other 'Ojama' monster we control is destroyed, which serves to make 'Ojama King' strionger!" thought Lisa.

Sticking his tongue out, 'Ojama King' slurped by each and every other 'Ojama' monster on the field, including the five Tokens on Lisa's side before gulping them down, and growing a huge set of muscles (ATK: 3000 → 12000).

"And don't forget one little thing," Miguel teased in a sing-song tone, "From the effects of my two Trap Cards, 'Ojama Trio' and 'Ojama Duo', you take 300 damage for each 'Ojama Token' that's destroyed!"

'Ojama King' let out a huge burp as the resulting shockwave struck and battered Lisa about (LP: 4000 → 2500).

(elsewhere…)

Back in one of the hallways, David and Heine were still dueling, while Zack, Ms. Simmons, and Mr. Kisaka each watched from the sidelines.

"In the honor of my new friends, I cannot afford to lose this duel," thought David, before drawing a card while talking out loud, "It's my turn! Draw!"

Turn Three: David Xadashi (LP: 2400)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (2): "Morphtronic Smartfon" and "Pot of Greed"

On cue, the 'Pot of Greed' Spell Card materialized face-up on the field.

"I activate the Spell, 'Pot of Greed'!" announced David, drawing two cards, "I must draw 2 cards!"

Both cards were 'Synchro Strike' (Trap Card) and 'Twin Big Shields' (Trap Card), and the rest of his hand contained only 'Morphtronic Smartfon'. Nodding, David made another move…

"From there, I'll banish 'Morphtronic Celfon' from my GY!" he went on.

A spirit of 'Morphtronic Celfon' briefly appeared before vanishing into a blue streak, and appearing on the field was a familiar smartphone which immediately morphed into a robot (Level: 1/ATK: 100/DEF: 100).

"From my hand, I'll Special Summon 'Morphtronic Smartfon'!" The voice of David said knowingly, as the above mentioned scenario briefly played out. Even after that, he still was far from being done with his turn, "Next, I'll activate its Attack Position effect!" On cue, an electronic die appeared on 'Morphtronic Smartfon's' screen and began rolling, "Once per turn: I can roll a six-sided die, excavate that many cards from the top of my Deck, add 1 excavated 'Morphtronic' card to my hand, also shuffle the rest back into the Deck."

The rolling soon stopped on a two.

"I've rolled two!" rejoiced David, drawing the top two cards and looking them over. He then took one of them ('Junk Box') and returned it to his Deck, "By excavating the top two cards of my Deck, one 'Morphtronic' card among them will be added into my hand while the remaining cards will be shuffled back into the Deck," On cue, the 'Morphtronic Boomboxen' Effect Monster Card materialized face-up on the field, "Appear now, 'Morphtronic Boomboxen'!"

Appearing out of the card and onto the field, was a red and white boombox—which morphed into its robot form (Level: 4/ATK: 1200/ DEF: 400). It was then both 'Morphtronic Cameran' and 'Morphtronic Boomboxen' hovered upward as 'Morphtronic Smartfon' started transforming.

"Level 1 'Morphtronic Smartfon' tunes Level 4 'Morphtronic Boomboxen' and Level 2 'Morphtronic Cameran'!" boomed David.

'Morphtronic Smartfon' turned into a single Synchro Ring which 'Morphtronic Cameran' and 'Morphtronic 'Boomboxen' both dove into, turning into six orbs of light as a Summon Chant from David echoed throughout…

"Docking strength with courage to protect the world's peace!" chanted David, as the symbols 4 + 2 + 1 = 7 were shown briefly just before the four orbs of light within the trio of Synchro Rings turned into a massive beam of light and struck down on the field around him, "Synchro Summon! Envoy of love and justice, 'Power Tool Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field out of the beam of light, was none other than the trusty, yellow, robotic dragon (Level: 7/ATK: 2300/DEF: 2500).

"Now, I'll activate 'Power Tool Dragon's' first effect!" As David announced that, his Deck immediately shuffled before ejecting a card in the middle of the stack, "Power Search!"

He drew the card and looked at it for a moment, acknowledging what he picked up was a very good card for most situations such as this one.

"I activate an Equip Spell, 'Double Tool C&D'!" exclaimed David, "I equip this card onto 'Power Tool'!"

'Power Tool Dragon' got electrified with power as its ATK went up (ATK: 2300 → 3300).

"I must equip only to a 'Power Tool Dragon' or Level 4 or higher Machine 'Morphtronic' monster I control," explained David, "While equipped…"

He went over two big effects written on the Spell Card in-question:
-"During my turn: The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. If it attacks, I must negate the effects of the attack target during that Battle Phase!"
-"During my opponent's turn: My opponent's monsters cannot target monsters for attacks, except the equipped monster!"

"Since it's your turn, 'Power Tool Dragon' has 1000 more ATK!" realized Heine.

"Yes, and I'll take advantage of it and attack 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!" declared David, entering the Battle Phase, "Crafty Break!"

'Power Tool Dragon' obeyed, diving towards 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' and striking it with its new drill arm. The enemy monster exploded from its destruction.

"'Marksman Heiji Type 0' has been vanquished!" smirked David.

"Ngh…" winced Heine (LP: 1900 → 1000), but quickly recovered, "However, my monster's destruction activates his second effect! If this card leaves the field, and all the monsters that were used for the Synchro Summon of this card are in my GY: I can Special Summon all of them."

Within seconds, 'Vigilante Zeni' (Level: 4/ATK:1600/DEF: 1200) and 'Vigilante Gata' (Level: 3/ATK: 800/DEF: 800) both returned to the field in defensive stances.

"And now, for the last move!" said David, unfazed, taking two cards from his hand and slotting them into his Duel Disk, "I Set two cards!"

Two Set cards materialized on the field, and, with it finally being the End Phase, 'Power Tool Dragon's' ATK returned to normal (ATK: 3300 → 2300).

"I end my turn!" concluded David.

"That means it's my turn," declared Heine, drawing a card, "Draw card!"

Turn Four: Heine Westenfluss (LP: 1000)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (4): "Distrain Card", "Gate Blocker", "Broken Blocker", and "Dark Mirror Force"

Just then…

"As it's your turn now, the next effect of 'Double Tool C&D' activates!" cut in David, "You now must only attack 'Power Tool'. Also, you will have to beware of my Equip Spell's second effect if you do try attacking."

Heine raised an eyebrow.

"At the end of the Damage Step, if the equipped monster battled an opponent's monster: I must destroy that opponent's monster!" David confessed.

"Great…" grunted Heine, but managed a smile afterwards, "I have to admit though, I compliment you on getting this far in the duel—but this is where I'm going to regain control of the duel!" He took another card ('Distrain Card') from his hand and held it out, "Spell Card, 'Distrain Card'! If my opponent controls 2 or more Set cards in their Spell & Trap Zone: I must target 1 of them; it cannot be activated this turn, also I must inflict 800 damage to my opponent each time they activate a Set Spell/Trap Card."

With the 'audience'…

"If both of Dave's Set cards are useful, he wouldn't be able to use one of them," Zack was saying to both Ms. Simmons and Mr. Kisaka, "And losing 800 LP just to activate a Set card isn't what I'd call a picnic either."

"About the only good thing right now," reassured Mr. Kisaka, "is that David controls 'Power Tool Dragon' and has it equipped with 'Double Tool C&D'."

Back on the field, a dismayed David watched as the left Set card of his sparked for a few seconds before becoming unresponsive, meaning it had been targeted by his opponent.

"From there" Heine went on, "My Level 3 'Vigilante Gata' tunes Level 4 'Vigilante Zeni'!"

Once more, 'Vigilante Gata' spun around and around before turning into three Synchro Rings, which overwhelmed 'Vigilante Zeni' and turned him into four orbs of light. The symbols 4 + 3 = 7 were shown for a brief amount of time before the four orbs of light within the three Synchro Rings turned into a massive beam of light.

"Synchro Summon!" shouted Heine, "'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!"

Emerging from the beam of light and onto the field, was a second copy of 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' (Level: 6/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000). David stared at his right Set card, trying to make a decision on whether to activate it or not. Deciding to take the risk, he pointed at the Set card using his right hand.

"I activate a Continuous Trap, 'Twin Big Shields'!" announced David, as the face-down card flipped up and revealed itself, "If a monster(s) is Special Summoned to my opponent's field: I must activate this card by targeting 1 monster I control; it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects twice per turn. When that monster leaves the field, I must destroy this card."

Two large shields materialized on the field, protecting 'Power Tool Dragon' in the scenario it were to be attacked or destroyed by a potential card effect.

"By activating a Set card on the turn 'Distrain Card' was played, you'll take 800 damage!" reminded Heine.

The face-up 'Distrain Card' Spell Card charged itself with electricity and fired it at David, striking him and causing him to cry out in pain (LP: 2400 → 1600).

"And there's also the first effect of 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!" Heine went on, taking a card ('Broken Blocker') and sending it from his hand to the GY, "You remember it, don't you? I can send 1 card from my hand to the GY, then target 1 monster my opponent controls; I must destroy it, and if I do, inflict 400 damage to my opponent."

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' hurled more coins at 'Power Tool Dragon', striking one of the shields and destroying it.

"Thanks to 'Twin Big Shield's' effect, my monster's destruction is negated twice per turn!" recalled David.

"In that case…" frowned Heine, taking another card ('Gate Blocker') from his hand and sending it to the GY, "Sorry to have to say this, but I'll just keep using my monster's effect until you can't defend 'Power Tool' any longer!"

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' hurled even more coins at 'Power Tool Dragon', striking the other shield and destroying it.

"The third time will end your ace monster!" declared Heine, discarding a third and final card ('Dark Mirror Force') before motioning his left arm (with the Duel Disk) about, "Take this! 'Marksman Heiji Type 0', finish off 'Power Tool Dragon'!"

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' hurled coins a third time at 'Power Tool Dragon', which, this time, looked as though it was going to work.

"I'll save 'Power Tool' by the way of its second effect!" interrupted David, hold up his 'Double Tool C&D' Spell Card before sending it to the GY, "If this card would be destroyed while equipped with an Equip Spell(s), I can send 1 of those cards to the GY instead."

The coins struck 'Power Tool Dragon', but it was able to withstand the attack and survive.

"Of course, I already knew about that effect," nodded Heine. He then held his right hand out, "Now then, I might not have anymore cards to discard in order to use 'Marksman Heiji Type 0's' effect, but you can watch as I instead activate the second effect of 'Skill Successor'!"

A card ('Skill Successor') ejected from his GY before fading away into oblivion.

"During my turn, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: I can banish this card from my GY," Heine explained, before pointing to his 'Marksman Heiji Type 0', "then target 1 face-up monster I control; that target gains 800 ATK until the end of this turn."

With 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' being the target, he started glowing all golden yellow as his ATK went up (ATK: 2400 → 3200).

"'Marksman Heiji Type 0', destroy 'Power Tool Dragon'!" ordered Heine, having entered the Battle Phase.

'Marksman Heiji Type 0' obeyed, hurling a final set of coins at 'Power Tool Dragon'. 'Power Tool Dragon' got hit, but this time there was no way for it to avoid being destroyed, which David knew well. A few seconds later, 'Power Tool Dragon' sparked a few times before finally exploding from its destruction. David braced himself from the explosion's backlash as he took major damage (LP: 1600 → 700). Also, with 'Power Tool Dragon' gone, the face-up 'Twin Big Shields' Trap Card was also destroyed.

(elsewhere…)

Inside the gym, Miguel was grinning with triumph, while Lisa was scowling in defiance. The other gym punks watching…were just impatiently waiting for an outcome to happen.

"I activate the monster effect of 'Ojama Pink'!" Miguel declared, drawing a card, "If this card is sent from the hand or field to the GY: I can activate this effect; each player draws 1 card, then each player discards 1 card, then, if I discarded an 'Ojama' card, I can choose 1 opponent's unused Monster Zone, and it cannot be used until the end of my opponent's turn."

Lisa nodded firmly and drew a card of her own. These were the cards drawn by both players:
-Miguel: 'Ojamarking'
-Lisa: 'Ancient Radiance'

"Now, we discard a card from our hands," reminded Miguel, immediately sending his drawn card ('Ojamarking') to the GY, "Go on, discard a card."

Without complaint, Lisa discarded her drawn card ('Ancient Radiance') like her opponent did.

"Guess what? I discarded an 'Ojama' card!" taunted Miguel, "That means one of your Monster Zones will be disabled until the end of your next turn!"

Lisa's Duel Disk malfunctioned a little bit, disabling one of the Monster Zones and preventing usage for a temporary amount of time. Speaking of whom, Lisa simply waited for the end to come.

"Battle!" announced Miguel, entering the Battle Phase, "'Ojama King', attack the princess of Orb directly!" From there, 'Ojama King' jumped straight into the air, "Flying Body Attack!"

'Ojama King' fell towards the seemingly helpless Lisa, aiming to squash her flat.

"It's all over!" laughed Miguel.

"Not yet, it isn't!" retorted Lisa, before pointing towards one of her Set cards, "I activate a Trap, 'Naturia Synthesis'!"

The face-down card flipped up and revealed itself.

"The effect of this card is simple to use," revealed Lisa, taking a card from her hand, "If I control no monsters: I must Special Summon 1 'Naturia' monster from my hand," She placed the card onto her Duel Disk (sideways), "I Special Summon 'Naturia Stinkbug' in Defense Position!"

Appearing onto the field was a large, green stinkbug with cartoon eyes (Level: 3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 500).

"Very well, I'll simply crush your bug!" dismissed Miguel, "'Ojama King', destroy 'Naturia Stinkbug'!"

'Ojama King' obeyed, again diving into the air. 'Naturia Stinkbug's' eyes widened as it let out a high-pitched shriek over the fact it was about to be squashed flat by a huge, overweight monster.

"I think not!" cut in Lisa, removing the 'Naturia Stinkbug' Tuner Monster Card from her Duel Disk, holding it up for a few seconds, then sending it to the GY, "When a 'Naturia' monster I control is targeted for an attack (Quick Effect): I can send this card from the field to the GY; I must negate that attack, then end the Battle Phase!"

Suddenly, 'Naturia Stinkbug' let loose a green mist, causing 'Ojama King' to cough and choke from the stink before falling onto the ground, being unable to complete its attack. 'Naturia Stinkbug' then shattered into shards of glass as per its effect.

"That lousy stinkbug," grumbled Miguel.

"That's too bad, you actually almost had me there," chuckled Lisa, before drawing a card, "Next, I'll activate the second effect of my Trap Card, 'Naturia Synthesis'! If a monster Special Summoned by this effect leaves the field: I must add 1 'Naturia' monster from my Deck to my hand."

The card she drew (or added) was the 'Naturia Rosewhip' Tuner Monster Card, which made her feel pretty pleased.

"Say, I don't mean to interrupt your little sense of triumph, but could you do me a quick favor?" requested Miguel.

"A favor? What's that?" asked Lisa suspiciously.

"Could you look down at your Duel Disk for a moment, please?"

The pink-haired girl looked down, and saw that not one, but 'four' of her Monster Zones were now blocked off.

"What's the deal?!" Lisa demanded in shock, before looking up at Miguel, "I thought by the effect of 'Ojama Pink', only 'one' of my Monster Zones was blocked off!"

"Well, it is," claimed Miguel cockily, "However, three more have been disabled. This is by the effect of my 'Ojama King'," Focus briefly went towards the 'Ojama King' Fusion Monster Card on his Duel Disk, "I must choose up to 3 of my opponent's unused Monster Zones. Those zones cannot be used!" He looked back up, "You know what this means, right?" When no response from Lisa was given, he went on, "It means you can only control 'one' monster, now!"

(elsewhere…)

Back within one of the hallways, David was in a very dire situation; he had lost 'Power Tool Dragon', and his LP were currently at 700.

"I'm being truthful when I say this, but overall you did put up a good battle," acknowledged Heine, "Unfortunately, you only have one more turn before I finish you off. Once I win, I do believe you and your friends know what will happen."

With the audience…

"Is this really the end?" wondered Mr. Kisaka, "Will Orb really remain under the control of Sergey Volkov?"

"Dave…" whispered Ms. Simmons.

Suddenly…

"(番号! お前は決して勝ちません!) Bangō! Omae wa kesshite kachimasen! (No! You will never win!)" The voice of David said in Japanese, which caused Ms. Simmons to look up in surprise. On the field, the aqua blue-haired boy then clenched his right hand into a fist and looked long and hard at it, "I will not give up this important fight. No matter what happens in the next turn and beyond, I cannot allow myself to fall against you!"

"What determination this guy has, even in the face of a possible loss," thought Heine, who could not help but feel impressed. Still, he (Heine) was ordered not to lose in order to make sure the Orb Duel School remained under the control of Sergey, "Unfortunately, I control 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'. Even if you Summon another monster, I can simply use my own monster's effect on my turn to discard a card and destroy your monster while inflicting 400 damage in the process. To which, I'll be able to attack you directly afterward, winning me the duel."

"I won't let that happen," rebutted David, "I'm going to find a way to end things this turn!" To prove his point, he drew a card with a Destiny Draw, "It's my turn!"

Turn Five: David Xadashi (LP: 700)
Deck: 48
Current Hand (1): "Fallen Synchron"

"This is ridiculous," scoffed Classroom Punk 3, watching from the sidelines, "What can he do with only one card?"

Well, let's find that out… David took a quick look at his drawn card, and immediately knew what to do with it.

"Spell Card, 'Fallen Synchron', activate!" began David, holding his drawn card ('Fallen Synchron') out, "I must target 1 Synchro Monster in my Extra Deck: I must banish the appropriate Tuners and non-Tuners from my GY; I must Special Summon the targeted monster. During the End Phase, I must banish the Special Summoned Synchro Monster."

(elsewhere…)

In the gym…

"Even with only one Monster Zone, a single monster is all I need to defeat you!" declared Lisa, before drawing a card through a Destiny Draw, "It's my turn!"

Turn Four: Lisa Drake (LP: 2500)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (4): "Naturia Pineapple", "Naturia Guardian", "Naturia Rosewhip", "Naturia Cherries", and "Attack Reversal"

A few seconds after looking at her drawn card, she added it into her hand and looked up at her opponent.

"Face-down card, open!" began Lisa, as her final Set card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "'Vision Synchro'!"

"'Vision Synchro'!?" cried Miguel.

The other gym punks were murmuring to each other.

"Immediately after this effect resolves, I must Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster using monsters in my hand as materials, but return it to the Extra Deck at the end of this turn," explained Lisa, with, in between the index and middle fingers of her right, two more cards ready to be played, "These two monsters will do nicely."

At the exact same time, David and Lisa, with their respective Crimson Dragon birthmarks glowing, took and raised the following cards up:
-Lisa: 'Naturia Guardian' (Level 4) and 'Naturia Rosewhip' (Level 3)
-David: 'Power Tool Dragon' (Level 7) and 'Morphtronic Smartfon' (Level 1)

"From my hand, Level 3 'Naturia Rosewhip' tunes Level 4 'Naturia Guardian'!" announced Lisa.

"From my GY, I banish Level 1 'Morphtronic Smartfon' and Level 7 'Power Tool Dragon'!" added David.

The respective Tuner monsters (Lisa: 'Naturia Rosewhip', David: 'Morphtronic Smartfon') turned into Synchro Rings which the other monsters (Lisa: 'Naturia Guardian', David: 'Power Tool Dragon') dove/flew into. While this was going on, two Summon Chants were being said at the same time…

"The holy light of protection, shine now and become eternal life!"/"The courage and power to protect the future of the planet is a revolution!"

Both 'Naturia Guardian' and 'Power Tool Dragon' turned into orbs of light (four for 'Naturia Guardian, seven for 'Power Tool Dragon') within their respective Synchro Rings (Lisa: Three, David: One). Soon, the orbs turned into massive beams of light.

"Synchro Summon!" announced Lisa and David at once, "A regal birth, 'Ancient Fairy Dragon'!"/"Evolve, 'Life Stream Dragon'!"

Out of the beams of light and flying around their respective areas before stopping in mid-air, were the two respective Signer Dragons (Level: 7/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2100)(Level: 8/ATK: 2900/DEF: 2400).

(elsewhere…)

In the gym, 'Ancient Fairy Dragon' let out a roar to signal its arrival, and all of the punks, including Miguel, were looking up in amazement.

"Amazing!" breathed Gym Punk 2.

"'Ancient Fairy Dragon'…" uttered Miguel breathlessly, but quickly shook his head, "However, it doesn't change a thing," His started talking about his 'Ojama King' (ATK: 12000), "'Ojama King' has an ATK of 12000, and 'Ancient Fairy' only has an ATK of 3000!"

"Is that so?" quizzed Lisa, before making a card ('Ancient Radiance') eject from her GY, "I activate the third effect of my Trap Card, 'Ancient Radiance'!" She took the card and held it out to show the opponent, "I can banish this card from my GY, then target…" The 'Ancient Radiance' Trap Card faded away into oblivion from in-between her fingers, "…1 'Ancient Fairy Dragon' I control; I must switch its current ATK/DEF until the end of my opponent's next turn!"

Through that effect, 'Ancient Fairy Dragon's' stats both returned to their base amount (ATK: 3000 → 2100/DEF: 2100 → 3000).

"What?!" gasped Miguel, "You've switched your monster's ATK and DEF back to their regular amount? But why? As I said, it won't change a thing!"

"I'll show you it can," offered Lisa, entering her Battle Phase, "'Ancient Fairy', attack 'Ojama King'!"

'Ancient Fairy Dragon' obeyed, letting loose a roar, and diving towards 'Ojama King'.

"Has the princess gone loco?" gawked Gym Punk 3.

"An ATK of 2100 can't beat an ATK of 12000!" proclaimed Gym Punk 4.

Back on the field…

"You must be joking!" argued Miguel, "If you think a suicide attack is going to defeat me and 'Ojama King', you definitely need a reality check!"

"Then let me give it to you instead," interrupted Lisa.

"Huh?"

"From my hand, I'll activate a Quick-Play Spell!" The pink-haired girl went on, taking and holding out her final card ('Attack Reversal'), "'Attack Reversal'! I must target 1 monster I control and 1 monster my opponent controls; I must switch the ATK of those targets until the end of the Battle Phase."

The gym punks all watched in horror as the ATK stats of 'Ojama King' (ATK: 12000 → 2100) and 'Ancient Fairy Dragon' (ATK: 2100 → 12000) were swapped, leaving one on the weaker side ('Ojama King') and one on the stronger side ('Ancient Fairy Dragon').

"No way!" panicked Miguel.

"I hate to say I told you so, but…I told you so," reminded Lisa remorselessly, before giving an order to her ace monster as "Ancient Fairy Dragon', at the last second, stopped before reaching 'Ojama King' and retreating into the air, "Finish off 'Ojama King', 'Ancient Fairy'! Eternal Sunshine!"

'Ancient Fairy Dragon' obeyed, radiating a huge ray of sunlight from its body, causing the punks in the gym to shield their eyes. Miguel, however, instead screamed in defeat as he helplessly watched 'Ojama King' explode from destruction, and when the sunshine finally dimed, he collapsed onto his hands and knees as his full LP gauge was immediately depleted (LP: 4000 → 0).

DUEL RESULTS: Lisa Drake wins!

As 'Ancient Fairy Dragon' faded away, Lisa brushed her hands together in satisfaction before looking at the stunned gym punks.

"Well now, is there anyone else who wants it?" she asked, before cracking her knuckles with a cruel smile back on her face, "Come on, don't be shy… Step right up for the beating!"

This was a sign that Lisa was no longer interested in dueling the punks, but was requesting more of an actual street fight with them instead. Even if her request for a fight was refused, she would take them on in revenge for the Orb Duel School being attacked.

(elsewhere…)

Back in one of the hallways, David (LP: 700) and 'Life Stream Dragon' (ATK: 2900) both were facing Heine (LP: 1000) and 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' (ATK: 2400).

"I activate 'Life Stream's' first effect!" began David, regaining the LP he lost during the duel (LP: 700 → 4000), "When this card is Synchro Summoned: I can make my LP become 4000."

"Alright!" cheered Zack, "Dave's recovered all of his LP!"

"And 'Life Stream' is strong enough to destroy 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'," added Ms. Simmons, before easing up, "But…it will not defeat our enemy."

"Indeed," agreed Mr. Kisaka, "If David attacks, his opponent will be left with only 500 LP. Not only that, when 'Marksman Heiji Type 0' is destroyed, all Synchro Materials used to bring him out will be Special Summoned. Then, when David's turn ends, 'Life Stream Dragon' will be banished by the effect of 'Fallen Synchron'," He frowned over what would happen if the duel carried on further, "How is he going to win in one turn?"

"Don't forget that Dave still has one more face-down card," recalled Zack, as a faded image of the end of David's previous turn (with two face-down cards materializing on the field in-front of him) was superimposed over him (Zack) for a few seconds, "With the effect of 'Distrain Card' worn off, he can activate it. In fact, it might be the ticket he needs to pull off a win."

Back on the field…

"Battle!" yelled David, entering the Battle Phase, "'Life Stream', attack 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!"

'Life Stream Dragon' obeyed and flew towards 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'. Heine was just about to point out that he would still be in the game even if his monster were to be defeated. However, he never got the chance to speak up, mostly because David had beaten him to it…

"I activate a Trap, 'Synchro Strike'!" declared David, as his final face-down card flipped up and revealed itself, "I must target 1 Synchro Summoned monster I control; it gains 500 ATK for each Synchro Material used to Summon it, until the End Phase."

"Two materials—'Power Tool Dragon' and 'Morphtronic Smartfon'—were used!" remembered Heine, stunned, "It will raise 'Life Stream's' ATK by 1000!"

"That's right!" confirmed David, "'Life Stream Dragon' now has an ATK of 3900!"

From there, 'Life Stream Dragon' glowed as it grew stronger (ATK: 2900 → 3900).

"Now, 'Life Stream'! Take down 'Marksman Heiji Type 0'!" commanded David, as 'Life Stream Dragon' opened its mouth and started charging its signature attack, "Life's Beauty Howl!"

From there, the charged golden breath was fired towards 'Marksman Heiji Type 0', vaporizing him on contact and hitting Heine head-on. When the attack ended, Heine found himself collapsing onto a knee in exhaustion as his LP ran out (LP: 1000 → 0).

DUEL RESULTS: David Xadashi wins!

'Life Stream Dragon' faded away, while David closed his eyes and adjusted his glasses.

"I win," he said firmly, "Now…about our wager?"

The classroom punks watching were not happy at all, and looked like they were about to attack either on command or just because they felt like avenging Heine's loss even if he said nothing. Before anything could happen…

"Yes," Heine agreed, slowly standing back up. He wasn't angry, but he wasn't smiling either, "I lost this duel, so I will keep my word."

This statement left all of the punks, Zack, Ms. Simmons, Mr. Kisaka, and David all very surprised, indeed. Needless to say, the classroom punks were very, very quick to voice their objections regarding it. Their protests were loud and clear, but Heine was sticking to his decision.

"That's enough!" boomed Heine, causing the punks to fall into silence, "A deal is a deal, and I'm going to honor it," He looked back at the small group of heroes, "I'm going to lead all of you to where some of the students and teachers are being kept."

"Alright," nodded Ms. Simmons.

"Just one question," interrupted Zack, "How do we know your friends won't try to stop us on the way?"

"I'll make sure of it," replied Heine, before looking to his comrades, "I don't want any of you to interfere. Am I clear?"

"But, sir-!" argued Classroom Punk 4.

"Be quiet!" Heine barked, not taking any nonsense, "When we inform Sergey about our failure, I will accept full responsibility for my actions."

The remaining punks said nothing about that, but their silence also meant they would reluctantly obey their leader's orders—even if it would get them into very deep trouble with their main boss. From there, Heine turned to David and nodded, which signaled him (David) and the others to follow along to where some of the students and staff were being held captive.

(elsewhere…)

Meanwhile, the Astry trio were on their own search as well. As instructed by Lisa earlier on, their search took them all the way to the docking bay, where several M1 Astray Duel Runners lay unused along with several forklift vehicles. There were also several opened and shut crates full of supplies and Duel Monsters cards (both common and rare ones).

"This is the place," mused Mayura, "And it looks and sounds both empty and pretty quiet, too."

"Stay alert, you two," advised Asagi, "Sergey's so-called friends can be anywhere in this area, meaning we can be jumped at any given time."

"According to Lisa, we should be able to find Mr. Murdoch here," recalled Juri, "If anything, we should try to search for him first."

Mayura nodded, "I'm all for that," she accepted, "Let's go."

And the search for one of their teachers commenced. Throughout the search, the three Astray girls were on the lookout for possible ambushes, but there seemed to be none, much to their relief. Ten minutes later, they stopped by some crates to catch their breath.

"Where could Mr. Murdoch be?" panted Mayura, leaning against one crate.

"Could he not be in the docking bay?" pondered Juri.

Asagi jumped up and sat on top of one large crate. She was just stretching out her arms when she started to hear a sound of sorts.

"What in the world?" The wavy blonde-haired young woman froze, looking around in curiosity, "What was that sound?"

Another muffled sound ensued.

"I heard it, too," proclaimed Mayura, also looking around for the source of the noise, "But I don't see where it's coming from."

Juri just shrugged in response. Just then, there was a banging sound on the crate Asagi was sitting on, startling her as she immediately jumped off.

"There's a banging sound, now," realized Asagi, "It seemed to come from…" She then got an idea regarding it, "Mayura, Juri, there might be somebody inside this crate! Help me get it open!"

Obeying her best friend (and also group leader), Juri picked up a nearby crowbar and handed it to Mayura, who, with some minor help from Asagi, used it to pry the top of the crate open. Peeking inside, the Astray trio discovered a blackish blue-haired black man, aged 33, tied up and gagged. They immediately recognized who it was…

"Mr. Murdoch!" cried Asagi, quickly figuring out that one of her teachers was behind making the noise in order to direct her, Mayura, and Juri to where he was hiding, "Don't worry, sir, we'll get you out!"

Once Kojiro Murdoch (his full name) was out of the crate, he was immediately untied and had the gag removed, which allowed him to stand back up. Overall, he was happy and relieved to see Asagi, Mayura, and Juri.

"Boy, am I happy to see you three again," said Mr. Murdoch pleasantly, "Really happy," He then looked more serious, "Now, I need you to give me a hand in freeing the staff. A decent number of them are trapped in crates and a few are locked in the nearby closet and whatnot."

"Yes, sir!" The three Astray girls obeyed, saluting.

And the rescue operation began. It took several minutes, but soon they were able to free the staff from their prisons of either crates or the closet. Once they were free, they all started to have a conversation with their saviors.

"We're glad that you girls have returned, and likely with Lisa," praised Male Worker 1, "I honestly thought we were never going to see another friendly face again after we were locked up."

"Just what in blazes is going on?" questioned Male Worker 2, "Can someone tell me what exactly happened? Who were those guys, and why did they attack us?"

"They were probably members of a gang Sergey Volkov formed before laying siege on the school," figured Juri.

"Sergey Volkov?" pondered Mr. Murdoch.

"He's a Russian criminal who arrived in the United States not long ago," explained Mayura, "We three actually had a little encounter with him while in New York City…"

"And I have the scars to prove it!" exclaimed Asagi, bringing her right fist towards her chest while recalling her not-so-successful duel with the hulking Russian man, "Figuratively speaking, anyway," She lowered her fist while continuing to address Mr. Murdoch, "So, tell us, who were the ones who barged in here and locked you all up?"

"That would be us!" A new voice (male) interrupted, basically answering the question.

The Astray trio, Mr. Murdoch, and the docking bay staff all recoiled when they heard the voice, which, unfortunately, was followed by another pair of new voices.

"We knew you three would show up at some point!" A second voice (male) echoed.

"Don't go thinking you will be able to rescue Orb just like that, because we'll ensure it stays under Sergey's control," A third voice (female) finished.

Everyone turned towards a nearby opened cargo gate, where a trio of unknown figures were standing with their arms folded. The three youths seemed to be the same age as Asagi, Mayura, and Juri, but their identities were mostly concealed by faceplates from the helmets they wore, and they were decked out in different colored motorcyclist suits, which meant they were Turbo duelists, too…
-The first unknown youth wore black/gray with green.
-The second unknown youth wore black/gray with light blue.
-The third unknown youth wore black/white with pink.

"Them!" exclaimed Mr. Murdoch, pointing forth an accusing finger, "They're the ones…" He was referring to the three helmeted intruders, "…who barged into our station unannounced, then attacked and locked us up!"

The three Turbo duelists said nothing back, but based on their body language at the moment, they were indeed the ones who attacked the docking bay and were more than prepared to battle Asagi, Mayura, and Juri in order to keep control of Orb under the unstable hands of Sergey Volkov.

This is the final chapter to be posted before the end of the year. It was pretty rough overall for obvious reasons, but we just need to hang tight for a little while longer. But on a more positive note, the new chapter has been posted on Christmas Day! Have a Merry Christmas, everybody!

Also, some more news to share; before the first arc of this story is complete, the intro story for the final story of the main series "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sodor Chronicles" will see the light of day. It will be based on the short manga "TRANSCEND GAME", which happens to be set before "The Dark Side of Dimensions". I just thought I'd inform all of you about that, mainly because sodormatchmaker and I are very excited to begin working on adapting "The Dark Side of Dimensions" for Thomas and his friends' final adventure.

Oh, and one more thing… This is for John Wilkins: I understand you have stuff you want to tell me, but could you try to stay on topic when reviewing my stories, please? If you have any questions for me (about the series or in general), you can look me up on DeviantART (if you have an account there) and send me a note as I'm on that site with the username "SF64Rules91"; I'll do my absolute best to answer whatever questions you might have.
