A/N: This chapter takes place between Chapters 13 and 14 of I'd Eat Your Heart.

I hope you like a little angst with your sexy scenes lol

I also hope you have more patience than Rang does because we don't go below the waist in this one...

This chapter is in Rang's POV. The next one will probably be in Ga Eul's POV because...reasons ^^

Tags: kissing, nipple stimulation (sucking, licking, pinching, that sort of thing), unresolved sexual frustration

"What is it?" Rang rasped, gulping in air and resting his forehead on Ga Eul's cheek. She had abruptly stopped kissing him, though she was still straddling him, nearly lying on top of him, in the middle of her bed. She hadn't taken her shirt off...yet...but earlier she had exchanged the blue sweater she'd worn on their date to the movies for a short-sleeved yellow t-shirt he knew she slept in, complaining that she was getting overheated. Maybe, if they kept on like this, she would get hotter and hotter and...

"We've been kissing for an hour," Ga Eul observed, looking at the digital clock on her bedside table.

"Really? It felt like ten minutes to me. Let's do ten more hours," Rang suggested, tightening his arms around her waist.

"I can't," Ga Eul noted glumly, straightening up and fiddling with the hem of his untucked navy blue dress shirt. "I'm too thirsty, and my jaw hurts." She massaged the right side of her jaw.

"I can get you some water," Rang offered, and Ga Eul climbed off of him so he could get up. Rang's jaw also hurt a little; for someone with such a small mouth, Ga Eul had a strong tongue. The more aggressively he kissed her, the harder she kissed him back. They were in a constant competition to see who could ram their tongue down the other's throat first.

Or maybe that was just what happened when someone who'd never been kissed and someone who hadn't kissed anyone for a long time—who'd never kissed anyone who'd meant anything—got together and decided to go at it like rabbits during mating season.

Though 'it' in this context meant kissing, not mating, to Rang's chagrin.

He couldn't remember ever spending an hour just kissing someone. Any kissing he'd done before Ga Eul had been a brief prelude to sex, nothing more. But as sex was off the table for now, he'd taken it as a challenge to see how thoroughly he could devour Ga Eul's mouth and neck and nothing else. Which meant he'd gathered all the energy that would have gone into other endeavors and poured it into, well, his mouth.

Rang's jaw hurt. It hurt the way his muscles did when he'd been sparring with Yu Ri. That didn't mean he wanted to stop any time soon though.

He poured two glasses of water as he watched Ga Eul try to straighten the hopeless mess of her hair by gathering it into a bun. When he sat back down on her bed, Ga Eul smiled at him appreciatively and took a sip of her water. Then she threw her head back and gulped down the rest of it like she was chugging a beer. Now that her hair was pulled up and away from her face, he could easily see all the fading marks he'd left on her neck, plus some fresher ones. When they went out, she'd been cleverly covering the marks up with turtlenecks and scarves.

"Ah," she sighed, wiping her mouth on the back of her hand. "That was good. I think I need more."

"More kissing?" Rang perked up, taking a swallow of his own water.

Ga Eul gave him a doubtful look.

"More water." She thrust her glass out to him.

"You humans. So little stamina." Rang tsked, standing up and taking her glass.

"Well, as you said, you're stuck with me," Ga Eul replied, balling herself up and tucking her knees under her chin. From Rang's vantage point by the sink, she looked like a human hedgehog. He wanted to kiss her some more. Why were they wasting all this time drinking water?

He handed Ga Eul her second glass. She gulped that down too, water trickling down her chin and neck. Rang wanted to lick up the water dampening her throat all the way back to her mouth. Ga Eul wiped it on her arm before he got the chance.

"Why don't we try something else before you dehydrate?" Rang suggested.

"Like what?" Ga Eul asked. "Do you want to watch something?"

Oh, there were a number of things Rang might like to watch, but none of them were on TV.

"How about a game?" he replied.

"What kind of game?" Ga Eul asked, innocently curious. She pulled her over-sized t-shirt over her knees and rocked back and forth, adorably. He wanted to eat her slowly, taking time to savor every inch of her skin.

"A fox game. One where I do you a favor, and then you do me a favor," he answered.

"What type of favor?"

"Anything you want," he offered.

"I can ask you for a million won?"

Rang laughed.

"You can, but I'd have to grant you the favor, which I can refuse."

"Hmmm...Okay. What favor do you want to ask?"

"You first," Rang said, following his usual habits. He liked to make people owe him, so he always completed his favor first. "But no money," he added. "Not that I can't afford it, but you wouldn't like the exchange rate." He grinned mischievously.

"Oh, I was just kidding about that," Ga Eul said, averting her eyes. "Um…" She bit her chapped bottom lip. "Oh, I know." She smiled and looked up at his face. "I want to see your eyes."

His eyes? Oh. His fox eyes.

"You're looking at my eyes," Rang said, feigning ignorance.

"I know, but don't you have special fox eyes?" Ga Eul cocked her head. "Like...I thought I saw them glowing the other night."

"Special...fox...eyes?" he repeated doubtfully.

"Please." Ga Eul pouted. She leaned over and tugged at his dress shirt.

Rang sighed.

"You know, it's dangerous to look into a fox's eyes."

"Oh." Ga Eul frowned. "You mean if I just looked into them, something bad would happen to me?"

"No, but...you should be careful with requests like that."

"Why? You won't do anything to me," Ga Eul replied, stunning him once again with her level of trust in him.

"Ah, but still, don't you know that—" Rang cut himself off. He had been going to say that he could make her forget things or warp her thoughts, but there was no need to scare her. "Fine. I'll show you," he finished, deciding to just get the request over with. "Watch closely, or you might miss it."

Ga Eul gave an understanding nod, and he carefully watched her reaction as his left eye transformed from its usual dark brown to an amber flame, its pupil narrowing to a slit —awe, followed by delight. She uncurled herself and crept up to him. Reaching up, she touched her hand to his temple, as though she wanted to touch the eye itself.

"It's so pretty. But it's just the one eye?"

"Half-human, remember?" he reminded her.

"Oh...Yes, that makes sense...I like it. It's like fire." She took her hand away but continued to stare at his eye with childlike wonder. Her gaze made Rang feel exposed but not in a way he was used to. It was a weird feeling, having a human inspect his eye so curiously instead of recoiling from it.

"You must be really special," Ga Eul said, catching him off guard.

"Special?" he repeated.

Ga Eul nodded earnestly.

"Not just anybody could be a human and a fox. I'm glad I got the most special fox for my soulmate." She beamed and ruffled his hair affectionately. "You're the most beautiful fox I've ever seen."

Rang snorted.

"I'm the only fox you've ever seen."

"That's not true. I've seen Yu Ri and Shin-joo," she protested. "Anyway, thank you for showing me. Will you keep your eyes like that? I want to look at them a while longer."

She wanted to look at them longer? He had no idea why. He'd always hated his eyes. Out of everything human about him, he hated his one human eye the most. No matter how strongly he denounced the human part of him, his eyes always gave him away. Marked him as 'other.' He'd been grudgingly accepted among other foxes due to Yeon's influence and the lineage of his father, but he'd never been truly one of them. Even his bedfellows would stare when they thought he wasn't looking; he'd be buttoning up his shirt after sex and notice them watching him from the corner of his vision. For that reason, he'd started facing away from them when he got dressed and leaving the room with his back turned.

Now, with Ga Eul, he had the opposite problem. It was unnerving to have her look at a part of him that should have scared her and to hear her call it beautiful instead.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because my boyfriend's a human and a fox, and I like to see all of him," Ga Eul noted happily.

You haven't even seen me without my shirt, Rang wanted to protest, but he knew that wasn't what Ga Eul had meant. She was always trying to find out more about him, more of his history, his likes and dislikes. Dating her was like playing a constant game of twenty questions. He could only avoid answering for so long.

Well, at least he was used to playing games, and tonight he could use her curiosity to his advantage.

"If I agree, do I get my favor?" he asked.

"What do you want?" she asked.

He pinched her shirt.

"I'd like to see what's under here. Or don't I get to see all of my girlfriend?" he teased, and Ga Eul blushed. Nevertheless, she scooted up a little closer to him.

"Maybe not all of me, um, yet, but you can take my shirt off if you want." Hesitantly, Ga Eul raised her arms over head, and although he hadn't expected her to agree so quickly, Rang readily complied with her request. He slid the shirt up and over her head, his first glimpse of the smooth skin and lacy pink bra underneath making his mouth water. He could see the top part of her breasts, those delicious mounds curving up out of her bra.

Finally.

They had been sitting apart, but Rang tugged her back onto his lap and cupped one of her breasts over her bra, fingering the pink lace. Reaching behind her, he tugged her hair out of the bun she'd gathered it up in. Then he slid his hands under ass and hauled her up so he could easily press kisses to her chest and down the valley of her breasts. She was so warm on his lips, and he bet her breasts were warm too. Warm and full of her scent.

Excitedly, he asked, "Can I take this one off too?"

Ga Eul had been clinging to his shoulders, but she lowered herself back down to his lap. Her lovely copper hair spilled over her shoulders, but that wasn't what he wanted to touch at the moment, so he arranged it carefully behind her back, giving her time to answer. She cleared her throat.

"Um…do I get another favor?" she asked softly.

Rang nodded enthusiastically.

Whatever you want. Just take this stupid bra off. You're killing me.

"Will you take your shirt off?"

"Done," Rang agreed and reached for her bra straps.

"Uh-uh." Ga Eul batted his hand away. "Your shirt first."

"But I asked first." Rang pouted.

"You wanted to do my favor first last time."

"That was last—"

"Please?" Ga Eul asked. She gave him a coy look, and her hair fell over her shoulders again. She leaned forward so that if he looked down he had a tantalizing view of her chest.

Rang sighed elaborately.

"So demanding," he scolded but began unbuttoning his dress shirt. As much as he'd been trying to get her undressed, he'd been avoiding undressing himself, not because he was ashamed of his body—far from it—but he knew Ga Eul would get all emotional and ply him with questions once she saw the ugly scar on his abdomen, and he would prefer not to break the mood.

Sure enough, as soon as he got his bottom shirt buttons undone and pulled the shirt back to take it all the way off, Ga Eul gasped and asked "What happened?" in a hushed voice. No one had ever really commented on his scar before; no one had ever touched it the way she was doing now—gently, as though she thought the wound would still hurt if she pressed on it too hard. Then again, all of his prior experiences had been fast fumbles driven purely by lust. His scar was another feature, besides his eyes, that set him apart, though. Scars were rare among foxes, given that they were hard to injure in any significant way by human means and, if injured, healed quickly. To have a scar meant he had been wounded by another supernatural being. For the longest time, the scar had reminded him that he wasn't supposed to exist in the world, that even his own brother hadn't hesitated to kill him.

"I almost died," Rang answered dryly as he tossed his shirt on the floor, not in the mood to go into that particular story, even if he had smoothed things over with his brother.

"I can see that." Ga Eul gave him a worried look, then went back to inspecting the scar that tore up one side of his abdomen. Rang let her trace the scar tissue further up his stomach, drawing a strange shiver from him, then took her by the wrist and pulled her hand away.

"It doesn't hurt if that's what you're worried about."

Ga Eul frowned.

"That's not...I thought you were immortal. But you said you almost died."

"Nine-tailed foxes can die, but we're very difficult to kill, so we live for an unreasonable amount of time," he informed her.

"Oh." Ga Eul nodded. "I see."

"Anyway"—Rang tugged one of her bra straps down her shoulder—"isn't it time for you to take this off?"

"Will you tell me the story first?"

"The story?"

"Of how you got that." She pointed to his scar, and he knew he could probably refuse and she wouldn't press him on it, but it was easy enough to tell her a half-truth. Plus, he had a feeling she was procrastinating, and he would like to get that bra off of her sometime that evening.

"My punishment for killing all those humans was death." He couldn't help but smirk before his next words. "I escaped it."

"You didn't die?"

Rang shook his head.

"But you should have?"

Rang nodded, and suddenly Ga Eul broke into a smile.

"Well, then...I think you survived for a reason."

Rang snorted.

"I did survive for a reason. Do you know what that reason is?"

"What?"

He slid her second bra strap down with his thumb.

"So I can watch you take this off." He dropped his hand and gave her an amused stare. She stared back—unamused, tense—but after an eternity she reached for his hands and tugged them gently behind her back. She guided his eager fingers to the clasp of her bra.

"You can take it off," she said quietly, and Rang's smile grew. Hungrily, he rubbed the metal clasp and the soft fabric; when he unhooked her and her bra loosened in the front, letting her breasts spill out freely, he let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. She helped the bra slip down her arms and onto the bed, and then she was naked from the waist up.

Magnificent.

"Do I get to touch?" Rang asked.

Ga Eul blinked up at him shyly, one hand holding her wrist.

"Um, okay," she answered. She looked uncomfortable, possibly because he was openly gaping at her. Well, she was beautiful.

"Turn around," he ordered. "You can sit between my legs." She turned rather quickly at his suggestion, and he widened the space between his legs and greedily pulled her into him so that her back was flush against his chest and her hips were pinned in place by his thighs, her legs inside his legs. He draped his right arm lazily around her waist.

"Has anyone ever touched these before?" he murmured in her ear, hovering the fingers of his left hand over her left nipple.

Ga Eul shook her head, and he got even more excited, if that were possible. Not that he'd expected her to have done this with anyone else, but hearing her confirm it was intoxicating. The idea of her being completely his was undeniably alluring.

"Do you want me to touch them now?" he asked, wanting to hear her say that too.

Ga Eul hesitated a moment, then nodded.

"Yes or no?"

"Y-yes."

He flicked one finger over her nipple.

"Are you sure? That 'yes' sounded pretty weak to me."

"I'm sure," Ga Eul whispered.

Rang grazed two fingers over the same nipple. He kissed a few bruises on her neck, then pressed his lips to her ear.

"If you like pain on your neck, does that mean you like pain in other places?" he asked. He circled both of her nipples with his thumbs, watching the peaks redden and harden under his touch.

"I-I don't know," Ga Eul mumbled.

He pinched her nipples at the same time, and she squirmed.

"Do you like what I'm doing right now?" He pinched her nipples again, a little harder, then ghosted his fingers across the tops of them.

"Mmm," she whimpered. "Yes."

Rang cupped her breasts, wanting to feel the weight of them in his hands. Gently kneading them, he continued rubbing her nipples with his thumbs. Gradually, she grew less tense, but he wanted her to totally relax, so he brushed her hair aside and started kissing her neck again while alternately pinching and grazing her nipples. The combination of the two things seemed to do the trick, and he liked playing with her even more when she went limp in his arms. He liked how her head tipped back, completely exposing her neck. He liked how her arms fell to her sides, how open she was for him.

Ga Eul let him do whatever he wanted for several minutes, only occasionally murmuring and smiling. At one point, she'd gone so quiet and still that when she lifted her head slightly and said his name, it caught him off guard.

"Rang?"

"Hmm?" Rang kissed down the column of her neck.

"Will you show me something else?" she whispered.

"Like what?" he murmured. He picked one of the few spots on her neck that wasn't discolored and sucked on it.

"Um, don't you have claws also?"

Rang frowned even as he suckled her skin.

What could she possibly want with his claws? His eyes, he could understand. Seeing his scar was inevitable. But his claws?

"Rang?" she repeated, concern in her voice, and he realized he was taking too long to answer. He made a final nip at her skin and came up for air.

"Why?"

Ga Eul shrugged as much as she could, given that she was lying rather pliantly in his arms.

"Same reason I wanted to see your eyes." She turned her head so that she was gazing up into his eyes and smiled. "Still pretty."

His eyes didn't look pretty; she looked pretty with her neck arched and her hair fanned out like that. At least that was what he wanted to say.

Instead, he replied, "They're not for show. They'll slice you. They're like obsidian blades, but sharper."

"I'll be careful. I just want to see," she implored, and as he kept staring into her eyes, he could feel himself slowly caving.

He should probably tell her to put her shirt back on and get off of his lap for this type of thing—that would be safer—but he was afraid if he did that she'd leave her shirt on, and all of his hard work getting it off would be for nothing.

"Don't move," he instructed. "In fact, don't even breathe too hard. And whatever you do, don't touch them."

Ga Eul nodded.

Holding his hands out in front of her, he allowed his claws to grow out, and though she didn't otherwise move, she did crane her head forward curiously.

"I guess you're going to tell me I'm a vampire again," he joked, tilting his hands at an angle so she could see better.

"Can I touch your hands?" Ga Eul asked. "I'll be careful."

"Um, okay."

"What about the dull side?"

"What?"

"The top of your claws...isn't that dull? The way a knife has a dull edge?"

"Oh...Uh, yeah."

"Can I touch that side of them then? I won't touch the blade, um, the uh, you know, the sharp part."

"Okay," Rang agreed hesitantly. He still didn't quite understand why she was doing this. "Don't touch the tips," he added, "unless you want to stab yourself."

"Don't worry," Ga Eul said gently, taking one of his hands into her own and tracing his fingers soothingly. "I cook with knives all the time." He let her maneuver his hand and fingers however she wanted, but other than that, he held them deathly still. It shouldn't have been difficult, leaving his claws out for her perusal, but for some reason his heart rate sped up, and he could feel himself wanting to pull away the more she touched him. Maybe it was because, though he'd shown plenty of humans his claws, this was the first time he hadn't been threatening someone with them. His throat closed up. He felt cold.

In Rang's mind, suddenly, he was back in the village he'd grown up in, reliving the first time his claws had come out in public as a child; he'd gotten into a fight with some of the other boys in the village, and when he'd felt particularly threatened, they'd come out of their own volition, nearly slashing into one of the boys' skin. Rang hadn't actually hurt anyone, and he'd felt just as frightened by the claws' appearance as the other boys had. They had run home to their parents, and Rang had run home to his mother. He'd been crying as he'd recounted what had happened, but his mother had only grown livid, hitting him and screaming at him to put the claws away and never show them again.

At present, Ga Eul was still tracing up and down his fingers, up and down the dull side of his claws. It was too much. He didn't want her to touch them. He didn't want to look at them. He didn't know why he'd agreed to this. Rang hid his claws once more, then jerked his hands away. His eye reverted to its normal human appearance.

Ga Eul was so calm only because she felt in control of the situation. She didn't seem to grasp how quickly it could turn on her.

"Enough playing with the fox's claws," he announced. "Now I get to play with these." Without another word, he flipped Ga Eul over and pinned her on her back. He didn't want to show her anything else. He wanted her breasts in his mouth and her hands in his hair, and he didn't ask before devouring her right breast and guiding her hand to his head. He heard a sharp intake of breath and felt Ga Eul's stomach heave beneath him as he laved at her nipple with his tongue, swirling the little pearl around, but she didn't protest. She started running her fingers through his hair the way he liked, and he switched to tonguing her other nipple while massaging the first breast with his free hand. He loved feeling the rise and fall of her chest and how she squirmed underneath him when he pinched and pulled and kneaded and tongued her to distraction. It was like driving into her mouth with his tongue, only this time his tongue met no resistance, just firm but pliant flesh he could do with as he pleased. He sucked her peaks. He kissed down the valley of her breasts and around each one's circumference. Then he pinched her nipples so hard that she gasped, and even though her eyes were closed, her face twitched with desperation. He went back to sucking at her hungrily, and the pain in his jaw returned, but he didn't care. All the while, Ga Eul tangled her fingers in his hair—sometimes tugging, sometimes going lax depending on what he was doing, but always keeping her hand there.

Rang wanted to lose himself in the sensations, in her. If it was up to him, he would have had all of her clothes off already. His cock was straining against his jeans and the way he was rubbing against the bed only increased his frustration. Working towards that end, he kissed right below her breasts, then down her ribcage. He kissed every bit of her stomach, settling around her lower abdomen and rolling his tongue around her belly button. Then he kissed along the edge of her jeans, pausing occasionally to rub his tongue in firm circles on her skin. He continued pinching her nipples. He could smell her arousal, and he knew she must be wet already, her fluids dampening her panties. Maybe if he frustrated her enough, made her imagine where else he could put his tongue…

A sharp tug on his hair made him lift his head, jerking him out of his daydream.

"Um...could we stop? I have to go to the bathroom." Ga Eul's face was flushed, and as she said the words her voice was almost plaintive.

"You sure?" Rang grinned, sliding his hand up her thigh; he was much too needy to stop now. "Or do you need something else? I can grant you a favor." Unfortunately, that action had the opposite effect of luring Ga Eul back into their game. She scrambled back on the bed, pulling away from him and nearly kicking him in the process.

"I need to use the bathroom," she repeated, and Rang stared at the barely concealed panic on her face for a long moment before finally saying, "Okay. Did I do something you didn't like?"

"N-no, I just need to, um..."

"Use the bathroom?" he finished for her.

Ga Eul nodded. She tossed her shirt over her head and disappeared into the bathroom, shutting the door firmly behind her. With her exit, Rang flipped over on his back and blew out a sigh. He glared at the ceiling. His face was hot, his jeans were uncomfortably tight, and he honestly felt like Ga Eul had gotten more out of that game than he had. He'd shown her both his eyes and his claws, and he'd never shown a human that before unless he wanted them dead. Not that he hadn't wanted to touch her breasts, but the best part of her body still remained untouched, and having gotten her scent in his nose, he'd wanted the taste of her on his tongue so bad. He could already tell she was going to be so delicious.

Rang's cock twitched, and he squirmed, readjusting himself on the bed.

He sighed again.

If he had any hope of the bulge in his jeans going down, he should probably stop thinking about that before Ga Eul returned from hiding in the bathroom.
