Here's the next chapter. If you like to recommend any Pokemon (Kanto region for now) to join Charles' team, please leave a review. All of Charles' Pokemon and their names can be found on my profile.

Well, I woke up one morning and went to check my emails. I wasn't expecting many like one, two or even none, but imagine my shock when I saw my inbox filled with reviews for this story. It honestly made my entire day that so many of you have taken the time to read this story. Thank you so much all of you.

I'll try my best to reply to all your reviews, but if I accidentally miss one by mistake, please tell me to get new glasses and I will answer as soon as I can.

Thank you :)

pokemonking0924 - Thank you so much, I'm glad you are enjoying it so far. I honestly wasn't trying to make Charles clueless, but I suppose he can be for now. He is ten years old after all. All their Pokemon they currently have can be found on my profile.

Your suggestions are very interesting, and I like how you put the reasons for them. It will definitely help in the writing. All your suggestions have been added to the Potential Pokemon List at the end of every chapter.

In regard to your later review, don't worry. Charles needs to catch more water Pokemon anyway. Fishing might be fun to write about.

Djinn - Great to see you as always. Thank you for reviewing. I'm trying to find way in which Alice can benefit the team. So far, I like to think that's she's the team's navigator.

CandyQueen - Love the username btw. Your nidoran idea is brilliant. I believe I already had nidoran on the list of potential joiners for Charles, but I haven't considered Flo having her own. I think it would be very cute for the two to plan small dates for the nidoran. Thanks :)

Kunoichi69 - I'm so glad you are enjoying so far. I've got some plans for Alice don't you worry. I think that Apollo is a great name for growlithe. I hope you don't mind me stealing it.

The Fleur des Lis sister are one of my favourite characters to write, just because they're so different to each other, but get along so well. I doubt Fleur would ever stop being overprotective of her sister, but maybe she can start to open up a bit to rest of the team.

Krabby seems like a popular choice. Several others had recommended that Pokemon. I'll make sure to put it in. Also, I definitely write about the safari zone. The number of banned episodes in the first season of Pokemon is astounding. I'm actually considering of stealing the porygon episode, because I feel like that Pokemon didn't get the coverage it deserved after one tragically made episode.

SkullGreymonX – The handcuffs are actually a coincidence. Since I've only got into Pokemon recently, I'm only up to XY in the anime. The thought of tiny items for pikachu just sounded adorable. I'm debating whether Charles should get a fighting type at the moment. It does sound interesting to get a hitmonchan and hitmonlee and name them Jackie and Bruce.

Guest – As I said before, Charles being clueless about women was unintentional. I fix that later, maybe.

May I say that your review actually inspired the writing of this chapter. You'll see why in this update.

FishingGuy – Thank you for pointing that out. I probably should have done more research into magikarp. I honestly have no idea how I made that mistake. I might edit it later. Fishing seems to be a popular choice, so I'll make sure to include it.

Guest – Technically, Benny could be considered a wild Pokemon because he doesn't have a pokeball. I think the idea of him being in a pokeball never really crossed their minds. After all, why would you do that to your own family.

FartNinja – I'm sorry to say that Ash, Misty, and Brock won't be in this chapter. I was planning on meeting them on the St. Anne in a later chapter. This will take place shortly after the episode where Ash meets charmander. Sorry to disappoint.

Wow, a lot of reviews. Enjoy the chapter :)

Chapter 14: A Wild Eevee Appears

It had been some time since the team left Alice's town.

It was coming near to the end of the day, and they decided to camp for the night under the shade of a lone tree by a small stream. The Pokemon were playing in the grassy fields (except for Cleo who was taking a nap). The humans, however, were gathered around Alice's growlithe in deep thought.

The puppy Pokemon sat rigidly in the middle of them and stared straight ahead.

"What about Flame?" Flo suggested a potential name for Alice's Pokemon.

Alice shook her head, "No, too on the nose."

"Toby?" Charles suggested.

"Too casual," Alice denied.

"Rover?" Flo said.

"Too generic," Alice sighed, "this is too hard. Are you sure he doesn't want to give himself a name, Charles?"

He smiled kindly, "I'll ask him one more time," he said before turning to the stoic growlithe, "What name would you like to call you?"

("Sir, the name is growlithe 718152312, sir,") the growlithe replied in a way that reminded Charles of an army private.

Charles shook his head causing the other two girls to sigh.

"That's one serious Pokemon," Alice muttered.

Charles thought for a moment before coming up with a suggestion.

"What about Apollo?" Charles said making Alice look up at him.

"Apollo," she hummed, before she smiled, "that's a great one."

She turned to her growlithe, "Growlithe, from now on, I will call you Apollo. Is that okay?" she asked her partner.

("Ma'am, yes, ma'am,") Apollo agreed sternly.

"He agrees," Charles translated.

"Good," Alice smiled, "you can go and play with the other Pokemon now," she told him.

Alice expected him to run off immediately, but Apollo just sat there looking confused.

("Ma'am, I don't know that order, ma'am,") he informed.

Alice frowned when Charles translated what he said.

"It's not an order. I'm giving you permission to have fun," she told him.

Apollo shook his head dismissively.

(Ma'am, with all due respect, I have been trained to assist all officers across the regions in upholding the law and maintaining the peace…)

"I have an idea," Charles whispered to Flo before reaching for something on the ground.

(…I have no time for having fun and gam-")

Apollo stopped mid-sentence as Charles waved a stick above his head, his eyes trained on the stick at all times.

"You want the stick?" Charles said, noticing Apollo's tail wagging furiously.

("Yes, yes I so want the stick!") Apollo barked happily, jumping up and down excitedly.

"Then get the stick!" Charles shouted as he threw the stick into the field.

The growlithe leapt after it, giggling wildly as he ran through the grass.

Alice, Charles, and Flo watched him take off with large sweat drops.

"Remind me to buy some toys for him when we get to the next town," Alice said, making the others nod in agreement.

Cleo was laying on the grassy fields minding her business and enjoying the feel of the sun on her fur. She couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to enjoy her naps.

Cleo sighed contently.

Her ear twitched as she thought she heard something fly over her, but she just ignored it. Nothing was going to sto-

("STICK!")

Cleo was able to roll away in time before Apollo landed in the place she was laying just seconds before. The growlithe then took off further into the field, leaving a disgruntled looking Cleo.

("Stupid canine,") she muttered angrily.

She was about to back to sleep when she noticed something.

Approaching the area was a human. He had blue hair, fair skin, and smug smile that Cleo didn't like. He wore a pink shirt under a leather vest and a pair of sunglasses he wore on his forehead. What troubled her was the fact that he was creeping up on Pyro, who was sat picking some flowers, with a pokeball in his hand.

("Oh no, you don't,") she grumbled as she ran towards the blue haired human.

The blue haired boy smiled as he raised the pokeball to catch Pyro. But the instantly the pokeball was gone and a sharp pain struck his hand.

"AHHH!" he screamed as held his hand up to see several scratch marks.

Looking up he saw a Cleo hiss warningly in front of a startled Pyro.

"You did this, you stupid-"

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" an angry voice stopped the blue haired boy's insult.

He looked up to see Charles approach with Flo and Alice.

"That stupid meowth stopped me from catching that charmander," he complained, pointing at snarling Cleo.

"I think you find that Cleo was protecting Pyro from being caught," Charles shot back, picking up Pyro comfortingly, "maybe if you were a bit observant you would have known he is with us."

The blue haired boy growled in irritation for a moment before his face turned thoughtful and then smirked.

"I'm sorry. It looks like I was mistaken," he said making Alice and Flo roll their eyes, "Let's start over. My name is Damian," he introduced himself.

Charles raised an eyebrow, "Hello Damian, my name's Charles and these are my friends Flo and Alice," he said feeling a little sceptical of Damian.

"Hey," Alice and Flo greeted unenthusiastically.

"Nice to meet you," Damian said before his eyes laid on Pyro, "Ya know, I'm somewhat an expert on charmander and I've got to say that is the weakest looking Charmander I've ever seen."

"I beg your pardon," Charles darkly replied, his eyes narrowing in annoyance.

"Yeah, I used to have one and I tried my best to train it. I guess some Pokemon are unteachable," he explained dramatically, "I gave it to this kid. It was clear that he needed it more than I did."

Charles hummed sceptically.

"However, that charmander is particularly weak," he said pointing at Pyro who whimpered in sadness, "since I'm feeling generous; I'll take it off your hands and…do the best I can with it. What do you think, kid?" Damian ended with a smirk.

"No," Charles simply but firmly said.

"No?" Damian repeated, his smile dropping slightly.

"I have you know that Pyro, here, is very strong and I know what I am doing. Do you really think I'm stupid or something?" Charles told him, petting Pyro's head comfortingly.

Damian snorted, "Fine, if you won't give me it, I guess I'll just have to challenge you to a battle," he said pulling a pokeball from his belt.

Charles glanced at Alice and Flo and then at Benny who had just jumped on his shoulder. They all nodded in agreement.

Charles turned back to Damian, "Yeah okay," he agreed with a shrug.

"You could at least look a little intimidated," Damian muttered.

The two trainers stood across from each other in the grassy field. Cleo was surprisingly up for to battle. When Charles inquired why; she just shrugged and said why not. However, Charles knew that she wanted to stick up for Pyro.

Alice was on the side lines holding on to a nervous Pyro, while Flo had volunteered to referee the battle.

"Are the challengers ready?" Flo called out from her position.

Charles nodded and placed his goggles over his eyes.

Benny, from on his shoulder, turned to him.

("Show him why you shouldn't mess with us, Charles") he encouraged, making his brother smile.

"Can the challenger present his Pokemon," Flo told Damian who was casually tossing his pokeball in the air and catching it in the same hand.

"No problem," he said before he released his Pokemon.

Charles was quite surprised with his choice. It was adorable. It was a small, brown and white furred quadruped with a busy tail. It had large ears and big shiny brown eyes. It was one of Charles' favourite Pokemon: eevee.

Alice and Flo awed at how adorable the eevee was as it looked around his environment. Charles had to restrain himself for not rushing over to and hugging the Pokemon.

("Charles, you're sweating,") Benny deadpanned, fully knowing how much his brother likes cute Pokemon.

"Oh, sorry," Charles apologised sheepishly.

Flo coughed and focused on being a ref again.

"Alright battle be-"

But before Flo could finish the eevee turned around towards Damian, snarled aggressively and jumped at his face.

"No, not again!" Damian shouted before the eevee chomped down on his nose and started to scratch his face.

Damian screamed in pain and ran around the area in a panic.

Alice and Flo came up to Charles and observed the scene curiously.

"Wow, that's one angry eevee," Flo said, earning nods from the others.

"I haven't seen an eevee in a long time," Charles mused as he took out his pokedex and scanned the evvee still attacking Damian.

Eevee: Its genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element stones.

"Element stones?" Alice asked curiously.

"I think they are also called evolution stones, as well," Charles replied, "they are stones that allow certain Pokemon to evolve based on their types. For example, if Benny were to evolve into a raichu, he would need a Thunder Stone," Charles explained, making Benny look uncomfortable, "Eevee however can use different stones to evolve into different forms."

"Huh interesting," Alice mused, "so how many forms does eevee take?" she asked as she watched Damian try to pull eevee of his face.

"I'm not quite sure," Charles answered with a shrug, "In Kanto there are three main ones, vaporeon, jolteon and flareon, but I have heard that there were more."

"Wait," Flo said, "so there is vaporeon and flareon which are water and fire types, so surely the last one should be a grass type, like starter Pokemon. It seems like an odd development to have an electric type instead," Flo observed, ignoring Damian's pleas for help.

"I guess so," Charles said.

"I think having a ghost type eevee would be cool," Alice said.

"Yeah, but I don't think there's a ghost stone," Flo told her.

"What about a rock type stone," Alice questioned further.

"That's just a stone," Flo answered.

("So am I fighting or…") Cleo asked with a raised eyebrow turning away from the show for a moment.

Charles hummed as he turned to Flo, "Cleo wants to know if we're still battling," he translated.

Flo glanced at Damian and eevee for a moment.

"I think this might be another win for you, Charles," Flo informed.

"Cool," Charles said with a bright smile.

The team watched Damian running around in a circle. The eevee still firmly attached to his face.

("Are we going to help?") Benny asked.

"A couple more seconds," Charles answered.

A couple seconds later and they were able to detach eevee off of Damian's face. Said eevee was under the tree that they were previously sat under, as far away from everyone as possible. When Pyro tried to come and talk to her, but she just snarled at him making Pyro retreat.

Damian was having his wounds treated by Flo.

"OW!" Damian shouted in pain, "That hurt!"

"It would hurt less if you stopped moving so much," she answered patiently, but with an undertone of irritation.

"So, do you want to explain why Eevee attacked you?" Alice asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Why do you think I've got something to do with it?" Damian retorted, sharply moving his head towards her, "I was the victim here?"

Alice sighed, "I'm not interrogating you. It was just a question."

Damian tsked, "It's been like that since I captured it. That ungrateful thing," he muttered.

He suddenly stood up from the ground, "If you excuse me. I need to get going," he turned towards the eevee who growled at the sight of him, "Come here you stupid mutt. We're leaving," he called up at her.

("Come here and get me yourself, idiot!") the eevee shouted back.

Damian knew that she just insulted her and raised her pokeball ready to put her back into it. However, the pokeball was snatched out of his hand. Damian turned to see Charles giving him a stern glare whilst holding Eevee's pokeball in his hand. Benny's cheeks parked with electricity warningly.

"Yeah, you're not taking her anywhere," Charles informed to Damian's shock.

"What was that!?" Damian shouted as Charles pocketed the pokeball.

"I can't allow a Pokemon to go with anybody after what happened today," Charles explained.

"Why you-" Damian stopped when he noticed Charles' team surround him.

The message was clear.

Do anything to Charles or get more injuries.

Damian tsked and stomped away and out of sight.

The whole team sighed and turned towards Eevee still under a tree. Eevee was watching the spat, but when they looked at her, she turned away from them.

Charles and Benny shared a look before Charles walked towards her. When he was near the eevee, the evolutionary Pokemon glared at him deadly. This didn't deter him, however, and proceeded to kneel at a safe distance away from her.

"Hello there, my name is Charle-"

("You really think I care about your names?") the eevee interrupted.

"I thought as much," Charles said patiently while Benny frowned.

("So, you can speak to Pokemon?") the eevee observed.

"Yes, I thought you would be more surprised," Charles admitted.

("What. Do you want a medal or something,") she snarked.

("Hey, you could at least be little decent,") Benny told her, annoyed by her language.

The eevee snarled at him, ("Listen here, rodent. You done me no favours. Yeah, Daniel or whatever his name was, may have been a jerk, but you lot are no better. So just leave me alone.")

Benny was about to retort when Charles shook his head at him.

"Sorry for bothering you. We're going to have dinner in a bit, so please feel free to join us," Charles invited.

The eevee replied by turning her head away from them.

Charles sighed sadly and walked away.

"No luck," Flo said as Charles returned.

He shook his head.

Pyro looked towards Eevee sadly. He felt bad for her. It can't be easy being the Pokemon to somebody so horrible.

Pyro smiled as he thought of an idea.

('I'm going to be her friend,') he thought.

Eevee was pawing the ground out of boredom. She didn't know why she hasn't taken off yet. She assumed that boy in the hat would just track her down and drag her back and force her to do his bidding.

At least they decided to leave her alone.

("Hi there,") came a cheery voice from behind her.

She groaned audibly and turned to see that charmander from before.

("What do you want?") she demanded as looked away again.

Pyro was taken aback by her tone a little before his smile returned.

("I came to welcome you to the team. My name is Pyro and I was Charles' starter Pokemon,") he introduced himself proudly, ("What's your name?")

("Don't have one.")

("Would you like me to give you a name?") Pyro asked hopefully.

("No.")

Pyro faltered slightly. He wasn't expecting so much resistance.

("Would you…like to go flower picking?")

("I don't do cute stuff.")

("Really? Because you look cu-")

("Think very carefully. Do you really want to finish that sentence?") eevee threatened darkly.

Pyro gulped and nervously kicked the ground.

("Would you like to do any-")

("Listen, Kid,") Eevee said looking at him with irritated look, ("I don't want to do anything with you, nor will I ever want to do anything with you. So go away," she crossly told him before looking away again.

Pyro whimpered in sadness.

("Sorry for disturbing you,") he apologised before walking solemnly back to the others.

Eevee briefly glanced at him and saw how upset he was. For a moment she thought she was too hard on him, but then she ignored her guilt.

("You know he was only being nice to you,") a new voice made itself clear.

Eevee sighed and saw it was the meowth she was supposed to be challenging.

("Why can't anybody mind their damn business,") Eevee grumbled.

Cleo hissed in anger, ("Listen here fuzzball, if it were up to me, I would have destroyed your pokeball and leave you to mope far away from us. But since Charles has decided to save you miserable tail, you could at least show a little appreciation.")

("A little appreciation?") Eevee laughed mockingly, ("I didn't ask to be 'saved', I was fine as I was. Also, what's so great about him, he's only a trainer with his little band of brainwashed Pokemon. As if they weren't a thousand of them already.")

("We're different,") Cleo argued.

("Oh really, how?")

("We're not just a team. We're also a family,") Cleo told her before standing up to make her back, ("dinner is almost ready. Eat or starve. I don't care.")

Cleo walked off, leaving a grumpy eevee behind.

From afar, Hurricane, Echo Fleur, Lilly and Alette watched the scene.

("Oh dear, it would seem that she's not fitting in well,") Echo mused worriedly, ("What do you guys think of her?")

("I think she's lovely,") Lilly answered brightly.

("Lilly, you think everyone is lovely,") Alette said, making the shiny oddish blink in surprise.

("I do?") she asked curiously.

Everybody nodded.

Lilly then smiled warmly, ("Oh wonderful,") she cried merrily causing the rest to sweat drop.

("That's one way of looking at it, sis,") Fleur said, ("Well, I think she's rude and vile. I wouldn't be surprised if she were violent as well,") she said with a smirk.

("Oh, do you know who she reminds me of,") Hurricane said excitedly, ("She's like Fleur, but much cooler and less shouty.")

("WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, YOU STUPID BUG!") Fleur shouted chasing after the laughing butterfree, ("I HAVE YOU KNOW I AM DELIGHT AND WAY COOLER THEN THAT EEVEE!")

As the others watched the oddish chase Hurricane across the grassy fields, Apollo returned and dropped the stick in front of the other Pokemon.

("What did I miss?") Apollo asked.

("Where have you been all this time?") Alette asked in confusion.

The team were having dinner. The Pokemon have been given bowls of pokefeed and they were eating with gusto. Well, all expect Apollo who wanted to punish himself for leaving his post much to Alice's exhaustion.

Pyro, however, had not touched his food and stared down at it sadly. Charles noticed this and looked towards the place where the eevee was and frowned.

"It looks like we can't encourage her with food," Charles said to the others.

Flo smiled sadly, "I'm sorry Charles, I'm sure she'll come around eventually," she reassured.

"Yeah, these things take time," Alice said before turning back to Apollo, "please eat something," she persuaded.

("Ma'am, I cannot get away without being punished for my insubordination, ma'am") Apollo barked back as he turned away from his bowl.

"I'm assuming he said no," Alice tiredly said to Charles.

"More or less," Charles replied.

("Hey Charles, look,") Benny pointing towards the tree.

Charles turned around and was surprised to see Eevee approaching. The team blinked owlishly when they noticed her. Pyro smiled happily while Cleo raised a critical eyebrow.

Charles, however, was relieved that she was coming over to eat. He wouldn't know what to do if she-

The eevee placed one paw in Fleur's food bowl and slid it in front of her and started eating from it. Fleur blinked at where her food bowl had been before. She slowly turned to the eevee with a plain look.

("What on earth do you think you are doing?") she said, too furious to even shout at her, ("That is my food.")

The eevee shrugged, ("Thought you wouldn't miss it. I mean look at you. Your fat enough as it is.")

A deathly silence fell.

No Pokemon dared to speak as they waited for the inevitable.

….

….

….

….

("YOU HAVE SOME NERVE COMING OVER HERE AND SAYING THAT! I OUGHT TO BEAT YOU TO A PULP AND TURN YOUR FUR INTO A RUG!") Fleur screamed as she rammed the side of her face against eevee.

The eevee retaliated and pushed the side of her face against hers.

("YOU BEAT ME! THAT'S FUNNY! I'LL BE SURPRISED IF YOU CAN EVEN MOVE WITH LEGS THAT SHORT!") Eevee screamed back.

("FLUFF FOR BRAINS!")

("FATTY!")

("FURBALL!")

("STUMPY!")

("You see. Their very similar,") Hurricane said to Echo.

("Please lower your voice,") Echo begged him.

Pyro picked up his food bowl and walked towards them.

("Hey, it's fine. One of you can have my bow-")

("STAY OUT OF THIS!") Eevee and Fleur shouted at him, causing him to cower.

"Alright, that's enough!" Charles firmly ordered as he marched towards them, intending to break them apart. However, somebody beat him to it.

Lilly had crept behind them and sent her leaves down on their heads like a karate chop. The eevee and the oddish fell to the ground unconscious.

("Now, now. We should not fight during dinner time,") she scolded both of them before she returned to her meal.

The team looked between the knocked out Pokemon and the delicate Lilly who happily ate her meal.

Everybody became a little bit frightened of the shiny oddish from that day on.

Night had fallen and storm clouds covered the dark sky. Luckily, they had set up their tents and were dry from the rain that poured over them.

However, after she had regained consciousness, Eevee had decided to stay under the tree for the night despite Charles inviting her to come into her tent. He couldn't force her to do anything, so reluctantly he had left her alone.

The Pokemon were out of their pokeballs and Charles had given them small blankets for them while Benny slept with him in his sleeping bag.

Charles was awoken by the sound of something opening his tent and sat up to inspect.

"Pyro what are you doing?" he asked tiredly, instantly recognising the Charmander because of its flamed tail.

Pyro went stiff at being caught and turned towards Charles.

("Eevee didn't have much to eat, so I thought I give her some I left over,") he explained softly, holding up some pokefood.

Charles smiled and petted his head.

"That's very kind of you Pyro, but I can't let you out in the rain. Your flame might go out," he said.

Pyro looked sadly down at Charles' point, causing Charles to sigh.

"I'll give it to her. You stay and get some sleep, okay," he told him.

Pyro's expression brightened and he handed the food to Charles to take with him. Picking up a spare towel as well, Charles opened the tent and ran to the tree.

He found Eevee shaking near the trunk. At first Charles thought it was because she was cold, but a sudden crack of lightening and drum roll of thunder caused her to yelp in fright and hug herself tighter.

Charles leaned down and placed the towel over Eevee who looked up in shock.

("W-w-what,") she coughed, ("What do you want?") she asked in her usual bravado voice, although Charles could tell that it was all an act.

"Well, first of all, Pyro wanted to give you this," he placed the pokefood in front of her.

Eevee sniffed it and her stomach groaned in hunger.

She smiled briefly, ("Nice kid. Won't survive long in the wild, though,") she muttered.

"I also wanted to invite you again to stay in our tent tonight," Charles said calmly, causing the eevee to hum in annoyance.

("Like I said I don't nee-")

"My charity. I get it," Charles interrupted, "how long have you been on your own?"

She didn't answer.

"Quite a long time, I assume. Have you ever wondered what it be like to not be alone for once?"

Again, she didn't answer.

Charles sighed, "Eevee, you don't have to feel that your always against the world. I bet if you open your heart to others, you won't feel as lonely as you do. Trust is a difficult thing to establish. It's risky even. However, the only way you can trust somebody is to believe in your instincts and take the plunge. I really hope you would start trusting us, Eevee. We will accept with open arms and protect you from the storm."

Another roll of thunder boomed above their heads, causing Eevee to wrap herself with a towel tighter.

"Please consider coming in," Charles said before standing up and running to his tent.

Eevee watched him go. She looked at the food in front of her and then at the towel around her.

She sighed reluctantly.

A few minutes later, Charles heard a scratching at the tent door. Opening it up, he saw Eevee shivering in the rain, the towel still wrapped tightly around her.

She didn't say anything at first. She just looked down at the ground with a frown.

And then, in a quiet voice, Eevee said, ("Can I come in?")

Charles smiled and picked her up.

Eevee would have bitten him, but she was too tired and drench in rain to do so. She allowed him to dry her with a fresh towel and clean her feet of mud before giving her a blanket.

"Goodnight, Eevee," he whispered before he got into his sleeping bag.

Eevee laid down on the floor of the tent. She couldn't sleep, even if the blanket were warm, the sounds of the storm still frightened her.

Thunder boomed above her, causing her to jump up and yelp. Swallowing her pride, Eevee leapt into Charles' sleeping bag and snuggled against him. Somehow, the fact that somebody was there comforted her. It reminded her of when she would cuddle with her mother before she was taken away from her by hunters.

Eventually, the storm started to fade away and Eevee drifted off to sleep.

Morning came and Eevee was back under her tree. She was embarrassed when the other Pokemon in the tent woke up to her soft snoring (which Charles thought was adorable) and found that she crept into their trainer's sleeping bag. Fleur would have teased her if it weren't for her ever-vigilante sister presenting her from doing anything.

Eevee hummed as gazed over the others, always looking away when she thought they were looking at her. Her ears twitched when she heard the soft footsteps approaching.

A bowl of pokefood was put in front of her by a happy Pyro.

("Good morning,") he greeted with a bright smile.

Eevee sighed, ("Morning, kid. Thanks for the grub,") she replied flatly.

Pyro's smile grew larger but before he could continue the roar of a motor caught their attention. Charles looked up from packing his tent to see a motorbike with a side car drive towards them. He saw the familiar sight of Officer Jenny on the bike, but the person in the side car made him groan in irritation.

The bike stopped and Damian leaped out of the sidecar.

"That's him, Officer. He's the one who stole my Pokemon," he declared with a smug look.

Officer Jenny dismounted her bike and approached Charles with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, did you steal his Pokemon?" Officer Jenny asked

"Yes, but there was a good reason for it," Charles replied as Alice and Flo made their way over.

"Aunty Jenny," Alice said, "we had to. You should have seen how he treated Eevee," she argued.

"I'm sorry Alice," Officer Jenny said, "but he doesn't have a right to take away others' Pokemon no matter the circumstances," she turned back to Charles, "Please return Damian his Pokemon now or I have no choice but to arrest you," she told him seriously.

Alice tried to protest, but Charles shook his head at her.

"I'll just retrieve her now," he reluctantly said before walking over to where Eevee was.

Damian laughed triumphantly, "You see, this is what you get if you mes-"

"Sir, do you really think bragging in front of an officer is wise thing to do," Jenny sternly told him.

Damian gulped and stopped talking.

Eevee sighed when she saw Charles coming over. She stood up and waited for him while Pyro looked worriedly between his trainer and the eevee. Charles smiled sadly at Eevee once he was close enough.

"I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do," Charles apologised.

Eevee shrugged, ("It's fine,") she said as she placed the last piece of pokefood in her mouth, ("Thanks for everything I guess.")

("Wait,") Pyro said felling upset, ("what's going on?")

"Eevee has to go back to Damian," Charles explained to the fire type.

("What? No, she can't go b-")

("Hey kid,") Eevee interrupted Pyro, ("It's cool. Don't worry about me,") she reassured him as she walked up to Charles, ("let's get this over with.")

They began to walk back to Officer Jenny. It was clear that Eevee wasn't thrilled by the fact that she had to go back, but she took it in her stride.

"Anyway, Eevee," Charles started, "if you don't mind me asking. How did Damian capture you? You seem more than capable of escaping him."

("Him catch me. Don't make me laugh. I was caught by that pretentious idiot,") she told him much to Charles and Pyro's confusion.

"What do you mean?" Charles asked.

Eevee shrugged lazily, ("Some hunter caught me and then Damian bought me from him. To be honest, the most insulting part was that he only paid 116000 pokedollars for me. Do I look like a magikarp. I'm worth way more tha-")

"Wait one moment, Eevee," Charles interrupted, "Damian Pokemon from hunters?" Charles asked.

("Well yeah, he's got at least twenty pokeballs in his pack and that's not including the ones he's got on his belt,") Eevee answered nonchalantly.

Charles and Pyro shared a look.

"And Eevee this hunter. How would you describe them?"

Eevee thought for a moment, ("Nothing really stands out, he just looked like an evil Pokemon hunter. He also had a stupid name as well.")

"…so yeah, I've been travelling with them ever since," Alice told her aunt as they waited for Charles to return.

"I'm glad you sorted things out with your sister," Officer Jenny told her kindly, "and you get to go on your journey."

She then leaned in close to her niece with a teasing smile.

"So, is there any other reason you decided to join Charles. He's pretty cute," she implied, causing Alice to blush.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Alice sheepishly replied.

"Also, he's not the only one on the team," Flo reminded in an annoyed tone, making Benny, who was on her shoulder, sweat drop nervously.

The two Jennys jumped at her sudden arrival and gave her apologetic smiles.

Charles approached with pyro in his arms and Eevee walking beside him.

"Here she is," Charles announced before reaching into his pocket to bring her pokeball out, "and here's a pokeball."

"About time," Damian muttered as he made his way to grab the pokeball.

However, Damian noticed that Eevee wasn't snarling at him or anything. He looked down at her to see a smug smile on her face, causing him to frown in confusion.

"I've seen you tamed it," Damian muttered as he reached for the pokeball in Charles' hand.

However, Charles moved his hand away before he could snatch it.

"Hey! What's the big deal?" he angrily said.

"Oh nothing," Charles mused, "I was just wondering if should give back the other Pokemon I took from you."

The others looked at him perplexed expressions.

"What are you talking about? You didn't steal another Pokemon from me," Damian informed.

Flo glanced at Alice questioningly, but she shook her head, equally as confused.

"No, I'm pretty sure I did," Charles insisted causing Damian to growl in annoyance.

He reached for his pokeball holder on his belt and showed it to Charles.

"See, all six are here. Now stop lying and give me my pokeball," he demanded furiously.

"All six, huh," the cold voice of Officer Jenny interrupted them, "with Eevee's pokeball that would make seven. Which is strange, because trainers are only allowed six at all times," Officer Jenny leaned over Damian a stern expression on her face, "would you like to explain how you have an extra one?"

Damian gulped, "Err…well…I," he stuttered.

A squeak caught everybody's attention. They all turned to see that Eevee had made her way towards Damian's bag and opened the top with her teeth. With one malicious grin aimed at Damian, Eevee kicked the bag, causing it to topple over and a dozen pokeballs to fall out.

Everybody blinked at the amount of pokeballs. Since Pokemon Professors only allow trainers to have six pokeballs, any other pokeball they have in their possession must have come from somewhere else. Most likely through illegal means.

(A.N: I'm not quite sure if this is true, but let's just say it is for the sake of narrative. And my poor, poor typing fingers.)

"I can explain," Damian said to Officer Jenny's disapproving glare.

"You can explain in the station, young man," Officer Jenny told him as he got her handcuffs out.

After Officer Jenny took Damian back to the station, everybody celebrated their victory. Jenny had confiscated all of Damian's Pokemon except for Eevee. Eevee had thought about it for a moment and insisted that she stayed with Charles and his team. Most of the team was accepting of her. Pyro was the happiest of the bunch.

However, Cleo and Fleur were not too thrilled, but stayed silent for now.

Charles, Flo, and Alice were packing up their tents ready to leave when Charles noticed Eevee was stood on the side lines watching. He sighed and sat down next to her.

"So, why did you decided to stay with us?" Charles asked.

Eevee shrugged, ("Just felt like it, I suppose,") she said and then in a softer voice, ("I guess I also don't want to be alone,") she admitted shyly.

Charles chuckled and rubbed her head gently, "I think we'll name you Titania. How does that sound?"

Titania didn't reply as she was too busy enjoying his petting. However, she caught herself and pushed him away in embarrassment.

("D-don't touch me,") she ordered with a small stutter.

("Oh ho, what's this,") a mocking voice said from behind her, ("What's the matter tough girl, you like to be petted like a princess,") Fleur mocked, earning a growl form Titania.

("Listen here yo-") Titania stopped as she felt a deadly aura emit from somewhere. Fleur stopped as well, and they both turned to see Lilly smiling delicately, but dangerously at them.

("My, my, you two are not arguing again, are you?") Lilly sweetly asked, the deadly aura growing darker.

The two shook their heads in fright.

("Good,") Lilly said and instantly the aura was gone and the shiny oddish skipped away merrily.

Fleur and Titania glanced at each other, making a pact to nerve fight in her presence again.

Sorry it took so long. I was planning on a much shorter chapter.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it.

As I was writing, I pictured Eevee or Titania having the same voice as the English dub of Momoyo Kawakami from 'Majikoi ~ Oh! Samurai Girls'.

Anyway, see you next time.
