Arles, France. Our heroes had escaped the clutches of the evil Captain Chantal Dubois, and they had secured the Olympic Flame safely from the villains. They were here in the St-Trophime Cloister, admiring the pottery and craftmanship. During that visit, there was one hilarious yet satisfying moment. One of the Phryges heads was stuck in a pot, and the craftsman had to help pull out the vase. Thankfully, someone gave Asterix a bottle of grape oil and applied it onto the vase, successfully pulling out the Phryge's head from the vase.
"That was satisfying!" sighed Asterix in relief. "Who was the one who gave that bottle of grape oil to me during that commotion?"
"Beats me. I almost deal with this ever day due to me being overconfident and a little bit gullible and -" he was then interrupted by someone with a size that petite. "Excuse moi, may I help you?" Gaulois turned around and saw a little French girl. She was dressed in yellow, and looked sweet and innocent that even our heroes could not handle her pure heart of innocence.
"The name's Madeline. I heard those voices during that commotion, so I came to lend a helping hand. Enchante." replied the little girl. "May I join you on the adventure and help you?" Gaulois was struck by her cuteness. Her innocence was harder to reject, and Gaulois can't even bear her cuteness levels. How can he say no to such a sweet little girl? He thought, her pure soul must have higher qualities in regard.
"Welcome to the team, Madeline. We are glad to have you on board." Gaulois answered. Madeline felt excited, as she was ready to head for the City of Lights, where her dear home was located. Her home was a boarding school with eleven of her friends along with their caretaker, and she felt glad that she will meet them once again.
While venturing through the Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue, our heroes were amazed by the sights of nature and wildlife there while strolling through. They ran past galloping wild horses which were picturesque for painting subjects depicting courage and advancement, and several types of birds they would find in France. A flock of flamingoes flew past our heroes, leaving them in awe since they thought they would never find flamingoes here except in African countries. The heroes then visited one of the museums in Arles, with them learning about Roman Empire and their reign in France. When they were about to leave the museum, they found a letter lying on the floor.
"A letter!" exclaimed Gaulois. He quickly picked the letter and he showed it to our heroes. "Let's see what it reads." The others took a look at it, as they were confused where it leads to.
"To those Hats, Rooster and Heroes, you should stop acting like total zeroes. You have returned the artifact to Marseille's Museum; I have a surprise waiting at the Arles Colosseum! Signed, XXXX"
"Wonder what kind of surprise would it be?" said Gaulois. "Could it be something like my favorite food or an orchestra?" the Phryges looked at the letter and one of them felt worried. They knew that something worse will happen, like a trap ready to ensnare its unsuspecting victims.
"Follow me, that letter shows directions on which to go past by to the Arles Colosseum!" Gaulois said confidently and he and the Phryges led our heroes through the city of Arles. They first went past the magnificent Place de la République, secondly the divine Abbey de Montmajour, and at last, they found the entrance to the Arles Colosseum.
When they entered the Arles Colosseum, they were really confused. It seems that Gaulois was duped again, due to his overconfidence that lured him straight into that situation. "Hey, why would someone invite us over to the Arles Colosseum? Is it a surprise or something like that?" Gaulois asked.
"Wrong!" said a menacing woman in a colour scheme of black and white. "By the name of the Fatui, I must eliminate you!" She then appeared in front of our heroes, with her weapons at the ready.
"I knew it! You have lured us straight into another trap again!" yelled Gorgious. "Won't you bad guys ever learn?!"
"Greetings, you pathetic heroes. Welcome to your execution ceremony, the name is Arlecchino, and I will be playing the role of the executioner!" Arlecchino announced. "I must say that it is correct that we have lured you right into another trap. Your road ends here, and there is absolutely no way you will never succeed!"
"Wait, what about the crazy madwoman who is chasing after us in the Verdon Gorge Park? Do you work alongside her too?" Asterix then asked.
"Oh, you mean that French woman who is after you? She is trying to catch your friends in red, and they are those pesky little targets she wants to have for her collection! We work for our mistresses and we will make sure that you pathetic heroes will never win! In the name of the Fatui and our supreme leader Xi Jinping, we shall end your journey in an execution ordered by the Fatui!"
Boss - Arlecchino
Arlecchino was absolutely no pushover, our heroes were almost exhausted after trying to pin her down. Her fiery moves were too hot for our heroes to handle, and they sustained several injuries. All but one of the Space Goofs were defeated except for Bud who was nowhere to be found. Arlecchino then gave a wicked smile, preparing to finish them off. Just as Arlecchino was about to destroy them, Madeline was right behind her, along with Bud who was holding a rope. Madeline then quickly used the rope and used it as a lasso like her Spanish friend Pepito; and with perfect timing, Arlecchino's finishing attack failed to appear. Arlecchino was restrained by that rope, with Bud, The Phryges and Madeline running in circles rapidly until Arlecchino was fully tangled, unable to escape.
"Release me you fools! The Fatui shall not forgive your sinful acts for smearing the Harbinger Arlecchino and her Chinese followers!" Arlecchino yelled as she tried to untie herself. Asterix then sent Arlecchino flying with a powerful punch, ending her mission in defeat.
"You rotten little vermin!" This ain't over! We are not finished with you heroes because we have lots of villains coming on the way to destroy you fools for good! We will never forfeit!" Arlecchino shouted before disappearing into the sky with a twinkle.
"Serves you right, Ms. No-Good Arlecchino!" said Madeline. "Now hurry, before those bad guys go after us!" the heroes then hurried off, hoping to avoid any villains who will pursue them for defeating Arlecchino.
Meanwhile in the secret hideout in Paris…
"Not this again! They really have gotten away with everything!" Lila Rossi growled as she shook her fist in anger. "How can I keep losing to that filthy feathered fiend and those fools?!"
"Pathetic. That rooster is no better than that rabbit I hate." Said Chloe Boeurgouis. "Codename: Queen Wasp. Engaging in villain recruitment for extermination. We need to stop that rooster from carrying the legacy and success that rabbit has once brought to Tokyo despite the difficulties. Perhaps if I can bring in more villains to end that with a whimper…."
"You are speaking my language, madame." said Captain Chantal Dubois. "The game is not over yet. I may have lost to that rabbit on the way to Tokyo, but his rooster friend shall fail him when I intervene….."
