In Perpignan, our heroes have felt a rush of colourful flavors and energy as they were soaked up in the celebrations. Catalan themes were present in this area, since that area was once ruled by the Majorcan monarchy. Our crew admired the medieval buildings and the setting around the area of Castelnou while carrying the Olympic Flame to Paris. There, our crew searched for food and supplies in that picturesque village, with the Phryges up to their usual antics while seeking directions for their next destination in France.
Through the trips to the Casanyes Market, our crew had ourselves stacked with food, since Obelix was mainly hungry for them and they needed him to share food to regain energy for the entire journey to Paris. They also brought several items too, which could come handy in defense against potential villains who dared to attack them.
"Well by the time we get to our next destination in France, Obelix and the others will be stacked up with loads of food enough for the journey! Anyway, I wonder what lies ahead at Auch? Could it be something similar to what happened to my friend back before he went to Tokyo?" Gaulois spoke to Etno, he wasn't sure what kind of surprise would he receive from the Greek spirit Genos, and he wants to know what kind of item would he receive.
"Best not to think about it, save that for later." Etno assured Gaulois. "Right now, our focus is to bring the Olympic Flame to our next destination in France! Now let's get moving and enjoy the sights of Perpignan together!"
Just then, Candy spotted something from the distance with his telescope, and he gulped and shivered in fear. They were in real danger again, Captain Chantal Dubois and her officers are on the trail again, and she wants the heroes maimed for real!
"Not her again!" Candy exclaimed in shock. "I thought we have lost that crazy Frenchwoman for good!"
"She's persistent, you know!" Etno retorted. "Let's get moving before she hunts us down!"
The heroes then ran to look for refuge in order to escape from the villainous animal control officer. They ran past the Perpignan Cathedral, which they took another turn to find an alternative route to escape from her clutches. They ran past the River Basse in order to let Captain Chantel Dubois lose sight of the route they were headed for. At the Campo Santo village, the crew along with the Phryges then found hiding spots in order to evade capture from Captain Chantal Dubois. Once they have found their own hiding spots, they shivered with fear and stayed silent; fearing that they will attract the attention of Captain Chantal Dubois.
When Captain Chantal Dubois arrived at the Perpignan Cathedral, she was unhappy. She asked the locals whether they saw her crew or not, they gave several answers which was not the exact hiding spot where our crew was located. Captain Chantal Dubois fumed and she zoomed off, hoping to find our crew in order to capture and destroy them.
"Did we just lose her yet?" asked Madeline in a whispering tone.
"Maybe. That woman is one crazy hunter, by toutatis!" Asterix replied. "If only Getafix was here, he would definitely have a solution right now…."
"Tag! You're at it!" a voice came out from nowhere, scaring the gang in shock. They looked at the A Spanish boy dressed in red stood in front of them. The cheeky personality was evident by the smug grin shown on his face, and a Spanish hat to boot.
"Pepito! Stop scaring us like that!" Madeline retorted. "You know that we are being hunted by someone!"
"No need to fear, amigos." Pepito assured them. "I was wandering around in that area until that French policewoman showed up with her officers. I knew the directions where you guys were headed, but I never told her the exact location. I pointed in the wrong direction so that she will be misguided on the chase."
"Phew!" Gaulois said with a breath of relief, "Hopefully that woman will never shows up to capture us for good! Now let's get going, we have to get to Paris before we get captured!"
"Wait for it, amigos!" Pepito called, causing them to stop and listen. Pepito then asked the group, "You don't mind if I will help you on the journey?"
"Of course, We need someone like you who can think of any good plans to stop those bad guys who try catch us!" Madeline replied. "Welcome to the crew!"
"Gracias, amigos!" thanked Pepito with full of joy, "Paris, here we come!"
Pepito then joined the crew on their long journey to Paris. They first took a little rest in the Arab Quarter, with Gaulois discussing what to do next for our group in order to steer clear of any villains who pursue them. They went past the only gothic building in Perpignan, the Casa Xano. Unbeknownst to them, the villains are watching from the shadows by their camera drones, waiting for the moment for to summon villains to attack our heroes.
After going around some areas in Perpignan, our heroes felt tired by joyful when they arrived at the Castillet,\; Gaulois decided that it was the end of the trip in Perpignan for them. He has to get to his next destination with the Phryges. "Well, mon amis, I think that should be it. The next destination awaits us with the cargo trains headed for that area and – "
"Such a pity to hear pathetic words from ignoble foes including you." A voice came from nowhere, making the heroes shudder. They turned around to see a beautiful villainess knight with blue hair, with her flair and style more regal and chilling that even our heroes could feel the ice-cold touch from their toes.
The villainess then spoke villainously, "Of chivalry and vengeance, you will face a dance of doom in the flickering candlelight by me, Eula!" She then held a remote control that was supposed to activate something and threatened, "I have planted a bomb inside the Castillet, and there is absolutely no way you will never find that bomb to deactivate it! Hand over the Olympic Flame to me quietly and admit defeat, if you will."
"Not today, villain!" Rayman shouted back. "We will stop you and put an end to your evil scheme once and for all!" The heroes had to stop the bomb from destroying the Castillet, while trying to safeguard the Olympic Flame from her.
Boss – Eula
The Space Goofs tried to attack Eula first but to no avail. They were frozen in their footsteps by Eula thanks to her icy powers, and can't move to attack her at all. Etno then quickly shouted to Rayman and Pepito, "The bomb is somewhere in the Castillet, deactivate it quick or that place is gonna blow up into smithereens!"
Rayman and Pepito went off to search for the bomb with one of the Phryges. Madeline, Asterix and Obelix tried to hold off Eula by stalling her, yet Eula was much tougher than they have faced. Her attacks are too powerful to withstand for them, with Obelix trying to break the ice with his strength to free the heroes.
Inside the Catsillet, Rayman and Pepito searched high and low until they found the bomb. The bomb was located near the windows, and they knew just what to do. When they carried the bomb outside, they saw the heroes almost exhausted, with Eula preparing to finish them off. Unable to withstand the sight of their friends getting hurt, Rayman then quickly threw the bomb into the air, and the timer reached zero. The bomb exploded in the air, signaling that Eula's plans had failed. Upon seeing this, Eula tried to escape but was stopped short by Rayman using one of his hands to grab her. Eula was then dragged to see the irate looks of our heroes, with Asterix and Obelix preparing a crate for her. Madeline and Rayman quickly shut the crate once Obelix gave Eula a painful pounding and put her inside the crate, letting Pepito lock the crate creatively in the form of a password coded lock. Three police officers arrived on the scene, with Asterix handing over the crate to them.
"Wait and see, you ignoble fiends! We shall emerge triumphant unlike what happened to our humiliating defeat on the way to Tokyo previously! You will see that second time's not the charm! I will be back, and my cohorts will get rid all of you! They are on their way!" yelled Eula from the crate as she was taken away by the police officers in a crate.
Upon hearing this, the crew felt terrified. They quickly ran past the Palace of the Kings in Majorca, scrambling through the crowds to find a faster and convenient way of escaping. They soon found a cargo train, and the Phryges quickly formed a chain to let the heroes catch up onto the train in Carcassonne. One by one, all of them boarded the train and they have successfully escaped. Asterix and Rayman shut the cargo door to avoid getting detected by any potential captors. They were headed for Carcassonne, another medieval-looking location.
Looking from the distance, a shadowy figure was spying on them, watching their moves closely. Chloe Bouergouis has called down her villainous assistants to help capture our heroes for the mission, but they failed.
"Nahida and Yanfei to Queen Wasp. We have lost track of those no-goodniks, they have escaped straight over to Carcassonne." The voices from her communicator spoke. She then headed off to her base, reporting to her boss.
Meanwhile in the hideout at Paris…..
"How frustrating, those daring heroes are way much stronger than we have expected! And yet they failed to do so with that stinking bomb trick failure once again!" Lila Rossi raged as she watched the screens. "Yet you failed to capture them AGAIN?!" she then berated Nahida and Yanfei for arriving late to capture and destroy the heroes.
"Hey, is that your first time that you plot involving bombs failed?" asked a voice questioning Eula. It was another villain rising from the shadows, which was a bearded creature with a thick Russian accent. "Booba here. That's total Bolshevik of that situation. I cannot allow those foolish heroes to succeed again…."
"I tried to bomb the Grand Bridge in Shimane, yet that pesky little rabbit foiled my plans and prevented my henchmen doing so! I just can't stand that rooster too!" Booba replied. Just then, they were interrupted by Chloe Bouergouis (codename: Queen Wasp) wuth an announcement to make.
"Attention, I have found the rooster, the hats and their crew. They are headed towards Carcassonne, so be prepared and start dispatching villains to destroy that rooster and those heroes!" reported Chloe Bouergouis. "They will soon taste defeat when I send in my next batch of villains together….."
