Poitiers. Our heroes have arrived safely after another battle with a villain, and they have protected the Olympic Flame from being extinguished. They are well prepared to visit the attractions in Poitiers, from old-fashioned attractions await with new ones. They first visited the Cathedral Saint Pierre des Poitiers, with them admiring the old-fashioned church and getting to interact with a few locals who wished them luck on their way to Paris. The Phryges kept quiet, with them being silent in order to avoid causing chaos for ceremonial events. Later on, our heroes strolled through the Blossac park. It was a huge rainforest garden which could be great for the eyes of our heroes with lush scenery, they felt soothed when strolling through.
"Never knew that green could be good for the soul, especially for your vision too! The natural way is way better than you think! It pleases the eyes to enhance vision!" Candy added joyfully.
Just then, Rayman and Etno spotted something with their telescope they shared. There is another sign that tells them to run away and escape for real. Captain Chantal Dubois and her henchmen have arrived in Poitiers ready to track them down! Stunned by the sight of her, the crew quickly came to their senses and hurriedly escaped from the spot in order to lose track of Captain Chantal Dubois.
"How could this happen? That woman still never stops chasing us for real!" Candy yelped.
"Just keep running! We need to hide before she finds us wandering around aimlessly!" Rayman replied back. They found an old building, just the right size for our crew to hide! The crew quickly hid together and found several hiding spots inside the old church, providing themselves safety to avoid capture.
Captain Chantal Dubois then arrived at the Blossac Park, wandering where the heroes have gone to. She then spoke to her mistress on the communicator, "Mistresses, those heroes have headed towards an unknown area and I have lost sight of them. They could be headed for the Holy Cross Museum!" She and her henchmen then zoomed off in that direction hoping to find that rooster and his crew.
At the St John's Baptistery, our heroes then gathered together when they have realized that Dubois has lost track of them. Remnants of Roman columns and relics surrounded the church, allowing the entire crew to remain calm after hiding from Captain Chantal Dubois. They hunkered down to discuss their latest strategy. Knowing that Captain Chantal Dubois would be persistent in pursuing them along with other villains that pose threats, Getafix was worried that the villains are getting stronger and cunning every single day; the crew needed to exercise more caution and keep the villains at bay.
"Alright everyone, since the villains keep tracking us down, there is one reason that I must say to you all…" Getafix spoke with reason.
"Why is that the villains keep targeting us?" Gaulois asked.
"The Olympic Flame, that is the main target for them to extinguish it! Those villains along with the Really Rottens cheat in competitions with any methods possible; and they also want to extinguish the Olympic Flame since it goes against their code that is purely evil without morals!" Getafix replied.
"Where did you get those pieces of information from?" asked Gaulois.
"From Genos, of course. He has previously guided that Japanese rabbit who went to become a hero that saved the Crossover All Star Tokyo Laff-A-Lympics, despite the situation and challenges imposed by the villains and evil forces. He even strayed away from Beijing since evil forces have dictators running the edition that goes against the values that we treasure the most!" Getafix explained.
"Now that the villains lost track of us, what now?" Gaulois asked.
"How about we head to Futuroscope? We are gonna end our trip at Poitiers with a blast there!" Etno suggested.
"Futuroscope?" asked Bud. "What kind of place is that?"
"It's the theme park of the future! And you are gonna be marveled by the sheer sight of it once you get there!" replied Etno.
"Since France is also a place where everyone respects tradition and heritage, it still looks forward to the future too, just like Japan, America and others!" Gaulois added.
The crew along with the Phryges arrived at Futuroscope by train. While riding the train, they were worried that they might attract the attention of Captain Chantal Dubois, so they kept themselves a low profile in order to avoid capture. When the train arrived, they hopped safely onto the station to enter the Futuroscope Park. There were all kinds of attractions ranging from thrill rides to activity parks. The heroes have tried some of the rides since some of the members in the crew experienced motion sickness and acrophobia (fear of heights).
When they were enjoying all the fun there, a huge explosion occurred, causing the crowds to run away in fear. The crew then went over to investigate and see what happened. A little mean Russian girl and an imposing bear came along with high-grade weapons, making them villains that look imposing.
"What a pleasure to have meet you pathetic dimwits!" smirked the little Russian girl. "The name's Masha and this is my friend Bear. Together, we are the warmongers that love to destroy and live by our own rules!"
"Come on, why do you villains have to spoil the fun and crash our party?" asked Spirou.
"This park looks entirely boring, just like that stupid big city in the Far East we failed to take over! Then another winter festival came with more criticism that we hated the most, so we have to take those matters into our hands! We can handle those matters by being proper individuals that make decisions wisely!" added Masha.
"You don't look like proper individuals to us. What we see is thuggish bullies who would take no for an answer when it comes to hurting others!" Miguel replied back.
"Thuggish? What are you saying? You guys are the real thugs here so that we can take care of you for what you have done to us!" Masha replied back with the bear growling in a hostile manner to show its agreement with Masha.
"Petty, ain't it?" Rayman replied back assertively. "Guess you leave us no choice but to fight you thugs off from wrecking the entire park altogether!"
Boss – Masha and the Bear
The heroes along with the Phryges tried to find several weak spots in Masha and the Bear. Masha used high grade weapons to attack our heroes and used them by force. Several heroes were exhausted and they were in a pinch because Masha's weapons have missiles that have injured them with blasts. Rayman saw this and he needed to do something. He then noticed the Rabbids and that gave him an idea. When the heroes were almost at the brink at being destroyed by Masha, Rayman then put this into action.
"Say goodnight…. Proschay!" smirked Masha. Just then, Rayman's hands then punch Masha at the back, allowing the Rabbids to seize the chance and attack her with their weapons including their plungers. The Bear was also punched by Rayman's hands and was attacked by the Rabbids. The Rabbids then pinned Masha and the Bear down, allowing Dogmatix, Marsupilami, Asterix and Obelix to do the rest. When Masha and the Bear were weakened, they let Gaulois do the finisher like what the Japanese rabbit hero does best.
"All for one and one for all!" Gaulois hollered. "Taste my Majestic Musketeer of Magic!" He then landed the finishing blow on Masha and the Bear, sending them flying.
"That is Bolshevik! You stinky heroes are supposed to lose to me! I will never let you filthy losers defeat me again! Forever!" Masha shouted in defeat while being sent flying in the air along with Bear.
With the battle over, Rayman then explained the Rabbids tio our crew, and he decided to let the stay in Futuroscope since he was concerned that they will cause all sorts of trouble on the journey to Paris.
"Those are the Rabbids. They are my allies who were in the spotlight for a long time – but now it's high time I take charge and give them a good name they deserve!" Rayman replied.
"Where to next?" asked Madeline.
"To Chateauroux – we go!" Gaulois hollered with joy. The crew along with the Phryges thenm carried the Olympic Flame to their next destination, with new opportunities and friends that await them.
Meanwhile in the hideout in Paris….
"This can't be…! How was this supposed to happen when we have the resources and competence to accomplish such simple tasks?!" Lila Rossi was raging while seeing this happen.
"That little Russian girl and her Bear proved to be incompetent to destroy the rabbit while on the way to Tokyo previously. Maybe I should have never came up with that type of idea to begin with. Hiring the same villains can prove futile, they can still yield results if they are more competent however….." Arfoire replied. "Or maybe, I can hire the most competent villains I have hired previously on the way to Tokyo! They will never stand a chance once more!"
