Avignon. The next destination for our heroes. When they arrived there, they have found out the Totally Spies have gone missing. Getafix found a note and read it out loud. It was written that the Totally Spies have other important missions to undergo and they will be of assistance if they were to encounter powerful villains.
Venturing through the Palais de Papes, our heroes have gained new experiences while exploring the entire huge Gothic palace. The Phryges had one of their cohorts gone missing for a moment or two, leading the entire group to go on a hide-and-seek style search party. It took a few hours to complete and round up the Phryges so that they can resume their journey to Paris with the Olympic Flame.
While strolling across the Avignon Bridge, Papa Smurf noticed a piece of paper carrying cryptic messages, with hidden clues connected in a puzzle. said, "There is something I would like to show you to, which is a musical act that is located in the very heart of Avignon! Our friends have left some clues behind so that we could follow them to the place we will be gathering!"
"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go search for clues and we shouldn't keep ourselves waiting!" Gaulois hollered.
Across the Avignon Street, our heroes rested by the Pax a 'Eau Café while gathering clues to solve the mystery. They found the notes written by someone else, which required them to solve cryptic codes. Fortunately, the Smurfs had their expertise at hand which made them solve the clues one by one, and followed the path cross Avignon and went past its attractions whilst carrying the Olympic Flame.
Finally, they arrived at the Avignon Opera House where the clues they found led entirely to, and realized that they were about to meet their friends they have met previously. Spirou and Fantasio were glad to be back reuniting with their friends they have met during the journey with the Space Goofs and Inspector Gadget! They were then invited to attend the concert of French arias and choirs. The singers sung and high-pitched yet mesmerizing tones that evoked the classical style of the old days in France, which brought a tear to some of the heroes' eyes!
When the musical act ended, our heroes exited the opera and found out that the town center was a devastating mess! They went over to investigate and found a surprise! It was two child villains that were tiny yet tyrannical, with their statures that tell their enemies to back off since they wield destructive powers. They are going to interrupt the performances and destroy Avignon with their loud musical acts and antics!
"Bailu and Huohuo, at your service! We are gonna crash your pitiful party and rain terror on you cretins!" declared the child villains.
"Don't you villains ever learn?" Gaulois asked. "We have a city to reach for, or it will be sacre bleu to you if you don't heed our words!"
"Nimrods. What do you expect? We villains never learn and we are gonna destroy your pathetic brethren so we can have that Olympic Flame!" Bailu demanded.
Boss -Bailu and Huohuo
The two child villains unleashed their destructive power and rain terror on the entire town. People were running here and there to avoid the attacks. The heroes scattered in different directions and gathered makeshift weapons to attack Baliu and Huohuo. Getafix was hiding in a corner with Spirou and Fantasio until Asterix and Madeline came up with an idea: in order to stop them; make the opposite of the potion that empowers them. Getafix knew that type potion was in his bag, and he thought up of an idea and looked at Madeline and Asterix. Just as Bailu and Huohuo were about to combine their powers to create a devastating combo attack at the heroes and the Phryges, Asterix and Madeline threw weakening potions at them causing them to lose their powers in the process!
Bailu and Huohuo were shocked to find out that their attacks had been nullified! They turned from behind and saw Oggy, Jack, the Pink Panther, Stitch, Asterix, Obelix and Pepito cracking their knuckles. A violent beatdown was then engaged with the curtains covering up the fight scene, which showed the result: Bailu and Huohuo were defeated with bruises and bandages; and then they were put into a cage by Madeline, Asterix, Gaulois and the Phryges. The police came and took the cage containing Bailu and Huohuo away, with the heroes taunting and jeering them.
"Blast that infernal feathered fiend and his nincompoops! You better not get cocky, because this is just the beginning where we are gonna send more powerful baddies to destroy you for real!" Huohuo shouted in defeat.
"Yeah! We hate that little girl and her hats; and those filthy brethren of heroes!" Bailu yelled back.
"Not today, cretins! You baddies deserved that!" Rayman jeered in response.
Our heroes felt relieved since they have survived another round of villain attacks. The next destinations on their radar are Vichy and St Etienne, where they will be taking a rest before resuming their journey to Paris with the Olympic Flame. The Marsupilami and Inspector Gadget decided to rejoin Gaulois and his group, while Olivia, Rayman and the Pink Panther decided to leave Gaulois for Spirou and Fantasio's group. The journey to Paris will be long and arduous, with their much needed determination to make it there.
