New life as a Villain

Chapter One: Being good got him nowhere, now he'll take being evil for a spin

Allister Archer had only two pleasures in life; studying, and his favorite manga slash anime series Boku no Hero Academia. He still went back to it despite how it had ended, he needed something, anything at all, to keep his mind off of how utterly whack his life is when he's not studying for what he hoped would be a future that would get him and his family out of the hell that they were in.

Sure, Allister wasn't exactly fond of the way BNHA ended, at least in terms of certain implications. But he still loved the series. But it was still a great series with dynamic characters and a deep and very interesting lore. He even had extensive conversations with his closest friend about it when he (Allister) wasn't studying his ass off for the good career that he was hoping to get in the future.

Allister was getting back from watching anime with another friend, they were watching that new revamped One Piece Fish-man Island arc among other titles. The anime for BNHA was still going strong, although the manga had ended. Allister wondered what the new BNHA movie with that bad guy who styled himself after All Might would be like when it came out. Either way, he'll see it.

Just as he's seen literally everything else that BNHA has to offer. Allister's best friend has used him as a reference for a few details in a BNHA fan story he's working on; Allister's best friend wasn't aware of the lethality potential held by Kinoko Komori's quirk Mushroom, also Allister's best friend wasn't aware that Midnight dies during the first war arc. He thought Mineta had died there instead.

"He's the Sakura Haruno of BNHA, but with the pervy personality of Jiraiya, and Roshi from Dragon Ball," Allister's best friend once said in conversation with Allister about Mineta's character, "But unlike with Jiraiya and Roshi, Mineta isn't charming in a way with his pervy-ness. Why didn't Mineta get punished more? Shit like what Mineta gets away with in the series wouldn't fly here!"

It was a conversation that included a number of things they'd do to fix up what they saw as issues in BNHA, some of which Allister's best friend said he'd be tackling in his fan story which, among other things, would tear a few concepts a new one. Allister had wished his best friend luck in his efforts to bring certain unfavorable ideals to the forefront and tear them a new one.

Allister was at an intersection, pressed the signal button on the side of the pole next to him, then waited for the little man in the signal across the street to light up. When that little guy appeared, Allister made his way across the crosswalk, seeing a few vehicles waiting for the light to go green so that they could go on. But they had to let Allister pass.

...Well, a transport truck apparently didn't see that.

Allister was halfway across the crosswalk when the truck sharply turned the corner and drove right for him, and sure enough it rammed right into him, full force. Allister was sent flying by the force of that truck, although he landed hard on the roof of one of those hippy vans that actually were one of Allister's dream vehicles to own. But that doesn't seem likely now.

As traffic in that area came to a screeching halt, Allister as he started to feel himself slipping into oblivion scowled internally. He also bled internally, but he had just enough wit about him as he laid dying on the roof of that van to curse his luck. He was gonna hit the books when he got home, but that didn't seem likely to happen now. He was also worried about how this accident would be for the expenses for his family.

"Maybe we'll sue the asshole who did this to me," Allister thought as he blacked out, feeling himself calmly breathe his last. His last thoughts were of how he had tried all of his life to live good, to be good. His whole family was like that. ...And look where it got them. If the hell they had gone through was what good people got, then is being good worth it?

Maybe not here, but in the setting of BNHA, one can be bad and get away with it to a degree, at least if they're smart about it. Allister thought about how a lot of villains in BNHA screwed up and got beaten in the end, mostly due to issues they could have avoided if they were smart. Hell, even All For One got dumb in the end and was beaten. Dumb villains don't last in BNHA.

...But how far would a smart one go? How far would a villain who knew what to do, what to avoid, be able to go? That's a fan story idea that Allister bet his best friend would have been chomping at the bit to use. Allister would let him take the idea; Allister isn't a writer, he's a reader. But he bet that it'd be a very interesting read indeed.

Too bad Allister would never get the chance to read it.

...

...Or will he?

Allister awoke with a start in bed, but soon regained his bearings as soon as he realized that he wasn't laying dying on the roof of a vehicle he'd admitted he'd still want to have one of his own. He looked around, expecting to have woken up in a hospital room; he was gonna be pissed if his folks couldn't afford the hospital fees.

But he saw that he was in no hospital room. Instead, he had woken up in what appeared to be the bedroom of an elementary school aged boy. "Oh hell no, I ain't getting caught in a little boy's room!" Allister thought as he quickly got out of bed and stood on the floor. However, when he did all of that, Allister took pause as he realized something.

He shouldn't be able to get out of bed and walk around so easily after waking up following being hit by a truck like that. He also saw that he had nothing of any sort hooked up to him. Allister was now more confused, so he walked around his surroundings. He looked out the window, saw that it was late in the day for some odd reason.

As he looked around, Allister suddenly noticed that he wasn't as tall as he remembered being. That is when he looked into a mirror that was in the bedroom that he was in, and when he saw what he looked like, he realized that he had gotten the Isekai treatment, courtesy of Truck-kun. Of course it was Truck-kun, it tends to have that reputation in anime.

And speaking of anime, Allister realized that he had isekai'd to the world of an anime. Specifically, his favorite one, Boku no Hero Academia. He knew that because he saw who he had reincarnated as, he knew that said character exists in Boku no Hero Academia. However, it was a character that he wasn't exactly expecting to reincarnate as.

Samidare Asui, the younger brother of U.A. Class 1-A class member Tsuyu Asui.

Allister looked down at himself, saw that he wore a baggy sleep shirt, long sleeved with the sleeve ends hanging loosely about the wrists rather than cling tightly to them. The body was a somewhat dark hue of blue, and the sleeves were a darker hue of blue. The sleep pants he wore were the same color as the sleeves of the sleep shirt.

Looking out the window, Allister once again saw that it was late in the day. Was the boy he had isekai'd as sent to bed as a punishment? Was he sick and had to rest? Allister felt fine so he doubted that he was sick. But he woke up wearing a sleep outfit, so maybe he WAS sick but had gotten well enough to get up and feel fine.

Allister dared to leave his room and venture out into the house, the Asui household. He didn't like not having a full idea of what was going on, and he wanted answers.

...

When he got downstairs, Allister was on the stairs when he saw into the living room. Tsuyu was sitting on the sofa, in between Satsuki, who is Tsuyu's little sister, and Habuko Mongoose, who he remembered is a close friend of Tsuyu's. Habuko must have been invited over, Allister wouldn't be all that surprised.

Allister reached the base of the stairs when Satsuki saw him and called out, "Hey! Big brother woke up! I bet he's feeling better now!"

Satsuki's cry got the attention of Tsuyu and Habuko, who both turned to look at Allister. "Samidare, are you sure you should be up?" Tsuyu asked, "You were running a rather bad fever earlier."

"So I WAS in bed due to being sick," Allister thought, "But I feel fine now." Gently shaking his head, Allister replied, "I feel fine now. Or at least fine enough to come down to get something to drink." He looked to the TV. "What's going on?" Allister asked.

"Oh, there was a news report about All Might defeating a villain with a slime body to save two boys," Tsuyu replied, "A lot of other pro heroes who were on the scene were lambasted for just standing around and doing nothing."

Allister realized that he not only had isekai'd into the world of BNHA, but that it was right at the beginning of the series. Gently shaking his head, Allister went on, "Well I bet you will be loads better than that as a pro hero, sis."

Tsuyu chuckled a bit in sincere appreciation. "Thanks, Samidare."

"Yeah, Tsuyu here has told me that you've always been a good, sweet kid," Habuko remarked.

Satsuki put on a bit of a pouty face. "You're a goody-two-shoes who gets more ice cream than I do," Satsuki remarked, clearly just being a jealous young child.

Allister honestly had no idea what kind of characters Tsuyu's younger siblings were as they never really were fleshed out in the series proper. He guessed that things will play out as he gets used to his new life here. "...I'm not really feeling like having any ice cream right now," Samidare said, "Just something to drink will be sufficient."

"So I can have some of your ice cream?" Satsuki asked, looking and sounding hopeful.

Tsuyu chuckled a bit. "Satsuki, no," Tsuyu said, "That's Samidare's ice cream." As Satsuki looked a bit disappointed, Tsuyu and Habuko couldn't help but laugh. Allister also had to suppress a chuckle or two as he made his way into the kitchen to get something to drink.

...

As Allister sat at the table, drinking a glass of water, he had his eyes closed as he thought about his current situation. He died in his previous life, and was reborn into the setting of BNHA. And he had been reborn as Samidare Asui of all people. Wait, does this mean he has a quirk? Allister certainly hoped that it was the case, it'd be awesome to have a quirk!

Allister, his eyes still closed, focused on his within-self, seeing if he had or could feel the presence of any sort of power. He did, and recognized it as Frog, the quirk that Tsuyu has. It didn't surprise him that he has the same quirk as Tsuyu; he did isekai as Samidare who is Tsuyu's little brother, and it made sense for the same or very similar quirks to run in the family.

But Allister, to his surprise, saw that he had more than just the Frog quirk. In addition to that quirk, he saw that he had a staggering fourteen other quirks, giving him a grand total of fifteen quirks. And he wasn't even a brainless nomu monster or anything. Was this some sort of bonus that came with being a person isekai'd into this world? Allister put that trail of thought away for later.

For now, he focused on his other quirks. He recognized the first ones as Dragon, Gigantification, Hellflame, Overhaul, Super Regeneration, New Order, Earth Flow, Voice, and Whirlwind. The other quirks he had he didn't recognize; Sound Mind, Sound Body, Control Weather, Stamina, Acceleratle. Allister supposed that they were made for him upon his being isekai'd to this world.

Allister focused on the new quirks, figured out what they did. Sound Mind protected him from all manner of mind altering things, like mind reading, mind control, memory manipulation, and so forth. Sound Body kept him in peak good health, made it impossible to get sick or anything else that are along those lines. It also made health problems never gonna happen to him.

Control Weather is, as the name suggests, a quirk that lets him control the weather. It's basically a more flexible version of what the villain Nine has, and with a significantly lesser drawback of only making the user exhausted if used too much without rest or if too much power is used all at once. The exhaustion is basically like if he puts in a good solid workout of a few hours.

But the next new quirk, Stamina, negates the drawback to Control Weather by granting Allister unlimited stamina. It also removes the need to eat, drink, and sleep. However, it DID require him to have a meal and rest for eight hours once a month. He can do the required rest before then to more or less reset the timer. If played right, Allister will never truly tire out.

Lastly is Acceleratle. It's basically a super speed quirk, and from the feel of it Acceleratle is at a higher place than Tenya Iida's quirk, if only slightly. Allister knew full well what all of his other quirks he woke up with did. With the assortment of quirks that he had isekai'd with, Allister can be one of the strongest persons in the world. Isekai main characters do tend to be pretty OP, after all.

Allister thought that he could be one of the strongest pro heroes ever with the vast assortment of quirks that he had. He could do good, be good. Granted, a series of events were about to start that Allister, due to being Samidare Asui who is elementary school aged, won't be able to help out with, but that doesn't mean he still can't do something, anything, to help out, to be goo...

...Wait. Why should Allister be good?

In his last life, he and his folks all lived trying to be as good as possible, and they were barely able to get by. He and his folks were screwed over by things well beyond their control. And Allister was killed in an accident; knowing the luck his family in his previous life had, they'd probably get next to bupkis out of what happened to Allister.

And given his encyclopedic knowledge of the BNHA series, Allister knew full well that things were not going to be generous for the pro heroes and those on their side. Allister did NOT want those who he cared for to be screwed over. He had been screwed over enough in his previous life, so now he wanted to be the one to screw over others. He had a new life, he was gonna use it as he saw fit.

And since when was the lead character in an isekai actively wanting to be a villain? There were one, maybe two, examples of an isekai lead character being a villain, the rest all tended to be good guys on the side of good. Well, Allister knew what all was going on, knew pretty much everything. He was able to do things as he saw fit.

So he decided that he, after being screwed over so much in his previous life, would screw others over in his new life. He decided that he'd become a villain. With the powers that he had, plus an in depth knowledge of how things worked, Allister was certain of the fact that he'd be quite effective at the task of being a bad guy.

Allister would also know just what to do to avoid certain unfavorable things that happened in BNHA back in his previous life; he also wanted to do right by Izuku, he wanted him to have a better end than losing his powers and being given a knock off Iron Man suit as a pity gift. Allister already had a few ideas brewing, and he couldn't wait to get cracking on them. Of course, it would have to wait for a while, especially as the series more or less just started.

...But when he got cracking, Allister was going to make this world his, and fix a few problems along the way.

The next few days were spent secretly gathering up a pool of resources. Allister needed a base from which to operate. He also needed a financial supply, and most importantly some followers to help him carry out his task. Luckily for him, Allister with his knowledge of the BNHA series knew just what to do, as well as who all to collect.

Surprisingly, Allister's first acquisitions were the elite subordinates of Flect Turn, the villain from the third BNHA movie back in his previous life. Allister, while transformed into a dragon, was able to overpower Flect Turn's quirk and go in for the kill. He then was able to convince Flect Turn's elite subordinates to swear themselves to him.

Allister also wore what he could consider a male version of Ryukyu's hero outfit; a red sleeveless men's martial arts top, white baggy pants that match the theme of martial arts, and similar glove like items worn on his arms. The outfit also transformed with him, so that was an effort saver.

Allister was particularly glad to grab Beros, the girl with the quirk Longbow which lets her turn her hand into a bow which she can use to fire arrows at people. Allister, never showing his new elite subordinates what he truly looked like, made Beros his right hand follower. He then brought all of his new elite subordinates back to Japan.

After that, Allister was further surprised when he got control of the Shie Hassaikai. While wandering around in his base form of Samidare (he wore a hoodie, gaiter mask, and sunglasses just to be on the safe side), Allister came upon Eri running away from something. Looking ahead into the alleyway he saw Eri run out of, he saw Kai Chisaki casually walking, oozing confidence and self-assured cocky smugness.

Allister rushed Chisaki with Acceleratle, made physical contact with the back of Chisaki's head while saying his name to trigger New Order, then rushed away, far too quick for Chisaki to ever have a chance to keep up with. Allister then placed a rule that would kill Chisaki if he moved at all. The last thing Chisaki ever did was step forward by just one step, and he dropped dead.

When Allister felt the rule he placed on Chisaki release itself, he turned to Eri (who was so focused on running away from Chisaki she failed to even notice Allister; similarly she had no idea what he just did), who was hiding behind the corner of a building. Allister told her that she was safe now, that he would take her to some grown ups who he trusted. He ended up taking her to a police station and handing her off to some of the police officers, telling them she's a lost orphan girl and letting them take things from there.

After taking care of things with Eri, Allister took his subordinates with him and found the Shie Hassaikai hideout. By then, the Eight Bullets were aware that Chisaki had died as his body was found in an alleyway and it made the news, but no-one saw or had any leads on anything that would be of help in the case.

The Eight Bullets learned that it was Allister, using the moniker Felgrand, who vanquished Chisaki. Seeing a giant dragon was the one who killed the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, the Eight Bullets all bought the story easily. Allister then informed the Eight Bullets that he would be taking over running the show as it were, and veering it in a more profitable direction that would be less likely to catch the attention of the heroes.

Chronostasis, otherwise known as Hari Kurono, was actually fully on board with the plans presented to him by the dragon saying he and his subordinates were taking over the Shie Hassaikai. Hari did admit he wasn't entirely fond of the late Chisaki's plans as they not only ran serious risk of getting the pro heroes on the asses of the Shie Hassaikai, but also it was a bit of a money sink.

Allister, the new boss, saying he wanted to go in a direction that was less likely to get pro hero attention and will garner greater profits got Hari on board rather easily. Allister had also proved to be a far nicer boss to the Shie Hassaikai than Chisaki was. As such, all of the Shie Hassaikai had become Allister's posse of followers.

He had every last dose of Quirk Destroying Drug, both complete and incomplete, as well as all doses of the Quirk Restoring Serum, gathered up, citing how production on those items was going to be discontinued. He kept all doses of the Quirk Restoring Serum, but destroyed most of the doses of the Quirk Destroying Drugs, keeping only six bullets loaded with the complete form. He had a plan for at least one of those bullets.

A plan that saw him, under cover of night plus a heavy stormy rainfall summoned via his Control Weather quirk, break into Tartarus and make off with a rather important prisoner. Kaina Tsutsumi, the former pro hero turned villain Lady Nagant. He rescued her from Tartarus and, while dangling a promise to her to let her kill HPSC members who she saw as needing to go, got Nagant to swear her loyalty to him.

Allister felt that he was going to have fun. He lived all of his previous life trying to do good, trying to be good, and ultimately nothing came of it. Now he was gonna take being evil for a spin.

Approximately halfway between when All Might saved Izuku and Bakugo from the Sludge Villain and when Izuku and his classmates began their first year at U.A., Allister in a plain clothes disguise was near Dagoba Beach. He saw All Might, then in his true form of Toshinori Yagi, talking to Izuku while they were doing the beach clean up training.

Allister was glad to see that at least that part hadn't changed. But things in Japan were getting interesting, given that Allister's organization was actively working to build up strength as well as resources. True to form, focusing on building up wealth and not doing anything at all to actively antagonize the pro heroes allowed Allister's subordinates to avoid pro hero gaze for the most part.

Two lesser Shie Hassaikai thugs, neither of which had ever seen Allister at all, were caught by a lesser pro hero, but they honestly had nothing of value that the pro hero could have gotten. And the two thugs were recovered soon enough anyway. The pro hero and his allies didn't even make any sort of connection that could have spoiled things for Allister; it was basically just like a cop busting a drug deal, as those thugs were selling doses of Trigger.

Allister knew that he had to be careful, he didn't want to be found out so soon. Hence why he's taken to doing a little bit of recon. No-one would ever suspect a young boy simply minding his own business if he's seen wandering around the area of Dagoba Beach. And if Allister is asked what he's doing in the area, he'll simply tell them he got lost looking for a bookstore he wanted to go to. It's the perfect cover story.

Allister saw it as Izuku's destiny began to take hold. He knew that if things were left alone, then within due time this training will be rendered moot, and Izuku will get a knock off Iron Man suit as his only way to continue achieving his dreams. That did not sit right with a lot of people, and Allister intended on making sure that Izuku not only got power, but kept it.

He would also give Izuku a very grand villain to fight, a nemesis that will actually help to build the heroic renown of the greatest that Izuku's year at U.A. will produce. Izuku really is the best among his peers, and Allister intended on making sure that it stayed that way for quite a while yet. But it'll be a few months before Izuku gets into U.A., Allister still had time.

Time that he intended to make very good use of.

END, CHAPTER ONE

Author's notes;

This is a BNHA story idea I had where a guy with an overall crappy life is given the isekai treatment by Truck-kun and sent to the world of BNHA, being reborn with an assortment of awesome quirks because of course leads in isekais are OP as hell. But given his experiences in his previous life, where he tried to be and do good only to ultimately have a crappy life that brought him and his loved ones little aside from day to day getting by, he decides to be a villain in his new life.

So he goes around, gathers a strong following, and cements for himself a solid support base where he can try out being bad for a change. But he still intends to see to Izuku becoming not just a pro hero, but one of the best. He feels that Izuku was ripped off in the end of the manga series proper and intends to prevent that from happening. But will this desire of his screw him over in the end? Who can say? We'll see how it goes next time. Until then, take care.
