Pokémon: Pokédex no Isekai

Chapter Forty-one: Preparing for war

Professor Samuel Oak of Pallet Town, Kanto has been in the game for many years. He has seen many amazing things in his decades as a Pokémon Professor. However, even he was doubting that it would be possible to get every known species of Pokémon registered as caught. He never thought that it would be possible to actually complete the Pokédex.

But here he was proven wrong on that front. The team of Dawn Berlitz, Trip Berlitz, and Kenny Harris had between them gotten every known species of Pokémon registered as caught. They had been able to complete the Pokédex. Considering the fact that a good number of the Pokémon that they got are commonly thought to exist only in lore, that just served to make the grand feat that they had accomplished all that more impressive.

Oak actually had to hold back tears as proof of a dream held by Pokémon Professors the world over was right there in front of him. Dawn, as well as Trip, Kenny, and Mina, stood before him in the main area of his lab in Pallet Town, Kanto. "This..." Oak began, "...I'm not sure if I even have the words for how awesome this is. You kids had done something I was thinking I wouldn't live to see."

"Given that there's over a thousand different species of Pokémon out there," Dawn began, "I wouldn't blame you for thinking that."

"You guys really are impressive," Ash spoke up; in addition to Oak and the reborn trainers, Ash along with Brock and Misty were also at Oak's Lab. "Getting one of each Pokémon out there," Ash went on, "I doubt that anyone else could have pulled it off."

Brock, nodding once, remarked, "Yeah. What you guys did was amaz-"

"Umm, why is that weird Pokémon using a paint brush to coat a Magnezone with chocolate sauce?" Misty spoke up, pointing out a Silvally seemingly painting Trip's named Magnezone Hedonismbot with chocolate sauce. Hedonismbot was very clearly enjoying itself in the throws of hedonism.

"That's Dawn's Silvally Djambi," Trip said dryly, "And Hedonismbot told it to get the chocolate sauce."

"Wait, I don't remember Dawn getting a Silvally," Mina remarked.

"We got so many Pokémon so fast it was hard to keep track of them all," Dawn remarked.

"The Pokémon you guys have are..." Misty remarked, "...Eccentric."

"That's one way to put it," Kenny remarked with a shrug.

...

"WHAT?!" Brock exclaimed as he and the others all had lunch later, also Ash's mom Delia came over to join for lunch. "You mean to tell me that one of Ash's friends in Alola has a harem of girls?" Brock went on as he looked at the reborn trainers.

"Yeah, and Misty is one of the girls in Sophocles's harem," Kenny went on.

Turning to look at Misty, Brock said, "Seriously?!"

"Well, Sophocles is just..." Misty said, blushing with embarrassment, "...It's just that he has so much manliness that... heh heh."

Looking right at Brock, Kenny said with a sly look of knowing amusement on his face, "You wanna know Sophocles's secret, don't you?"

"Yes," Brock replied without missing a beat.

"Well I'm glad that things between Sophocles and Misty had been fixed," Ash remarked, "Granted, I wasn't exactly expecting Misty and that Selene girl to form a harem around Sophocles, but I'm glad that things had been fixed."

"Pika pika pi," remarked Ash's Pikachu, who sat next to Ash.

Sighing, Dawn said, "Yeah, the harem route was Kenny's idea."

"Well he's... umm..." Delia remarked, "...He's certainly a... creative young man, to say the least."

"Relax, Mrs. Ketchum," Trip said, "There's no need to be hesitant around the matter. Kenny's brain is a bag full of cat Pokémon. You can smell the crazy on him."

"Now I see where some of the Pokémon you guys have caught get their eccentric personalities from," Misty said dryly.

"Well, not ALL of the Pokémon they've gotten," Mina said, "Although Kenny's Pokémon certainly do know how to cringe up a storm with the best of them. Why, just the oth-"

"Oi! Captain Twerp!"

Mina was cut off when James and Meowth came running on over to where everyone was eating outside. It had been Meowth who had called out. Ash, Brock, Misty, and Pikachu, due to their history with James and Meowth, were on guard against them. Even Delia, and Oak to an extent, were on guard against James and Meowth. But Dawn, who sensed that something might be wrong, was alerted. "What's the situation?" Dawn asked, fully serious.

As Meowth panted a bit to catch his breath, James said, "There's a breaking news story coming out of the Sinnoh region! It's bad news!"

"Bad how?" Oak asked, still a little suspicious towards the former members of the long defunct Team Rocket.

"Those idiots Zed and Chandler held a press conference that aired all over Sinnoh on TV," James explained, "Where they had more or less proclaimed themselves as the Supreme Commanders of Sinnoh's overall military!"

The reborn trainers all looked an even mix of very alarmed and VERY pissed. Ash, Brock, Misty, Oak, and Delia, on the other hand, had no idea what James was talking about. "Umm... who are those two guys?" Oak asked.

"A pair of idiots whose sorry rear ends are gonna be kicked when we get back to Sinnoh!" Dawn said, "James, Meowth, where's the rest of the crew?"

"Everyone is still on board of The Big Beauty," Meowth said between greedy gasps for air, he was still trying to catch his breath.

Delia could tell that something was putting Dawn on guard more than she had ever seen anyone else be. "Umm, Dawn, young lady," Delia began, concern clear in her tone, "Is something wrong?"

Dawn settled just enough to notice the looks of concern on the faces of Delia, Ash, Brock, Misty, and Oak. Even Ash's Pikachu looked concerned. "...Sorry, I suppose an explanation is in order," Dawn said, "But trust me, this isn't gonna be an easy story..."

(ONE EXPLANATION LATER)

Dawn, with help from the other reborn trainers, spent the next few minutes telling everyone present all about the whole of the deal involving Zed, Chandler, and the rest of their group. "And now," Dawn said, her temper rising just a little bit, "Because of how those two idiots not only don't know how to keep quiet and to themselves but also don't know how to reign in their egos and prides, they've put an enormous target on Sinnoh's back for Team Heart to take aim at!"

"That's... that's horrible..." Brock said, the implications sinking in.

Turning to look at Oak, Dawn said, "Professor Oak, before my crew and I leave to return to Sinnoh, Trip, Kenny, and I are gonna have to change our parties around a bit. Is that alright?"

"I'm guessing that you feel that you kids are gonna be in for the fight of your lives when you return home to Sinnoh, huh?" Oak replied, his tone and expression as understanding as it was grim.

Dawn nodded once to Oak before turning to look at James and Meowth. "James, Meowth, return to The Big Beauty," Dawn said, "Let the rest of the crew know we're leaving for Sinnoh the moment that me, Trip, Kenny, and Mina get back to the ship from Professor Oak's Lab here."

James and Meowth, having caught their breath enough, nodded in the affirmative before they both turned around to return to The Big Beauty. "Before you kids go," Delia said to the reborn trainers after James and Meowth had taken off, "At least let me give you some lunches to go."

"I'm not sure if we have the time to wait for you to make them," Kenny said.

"Oh, I made them all in advance," Delia said, "I got to work on them as soon as I heard word from Professor Oak that you kids and your crew were coming to Kanto. Although I think I may have made a few too many lunches to go..."

...

As it turned out, Delia made a total of thirty lunches for the members of the crew of The Big Beauty. With the recruitment of Victor in the Galar region, the crew of The Big Beauty was at a head count of twenty-one (twenty-two counting Meowth), so it was only too much by a slight bit. But in addition to the crew of The Big Beauty, all of Victor's living family had also come along, as they were following Salvia and Freesia to Sinnoh.

That actually meant that Delia was a few lunches short, but Victor's family assured her that it was no big deal, they can get food from the kitchen on board of The Big Beauty. As the lunches to go were being carried up the drawbridge of the flying ship by the reborn trainers plus Ash, Brock, and Misty, they were met on the open air deck by Barry, Lucas, and a rather annoyed looking Paul.

"Hey Dawn," Paul said, "When we get to Sinnoh and you're done kicking Zed's sorry rear end, can you send him my way so I can take a crack at him myself?"

Dawn perked up, surprised by the air Paul was giving off. "What happened?" Dawn asked.

"The good news is that Paul's older brother Reggie, along with a number of other trainers who were arrested by Sinnoh's government for reasons similar to why Reggie was arrested, had all been released and cleared of all charges," Lucas said, "The bad news is that it's because all of them had been drafted by Zed to join and serve in the military force he and Chandler are building up."

"And Sinnoh's government is just letting them do this?" Brock asked.

Nodding once, Barry said, "I'm not sure how they're getting away with it, but Zed and Chandler both are getting more power and influence in Sinnoh. And this is saying nothing of how Team Heart has started issuing demands towards Sinnoh's government to hand over Zed and Chandler, as well as the rest of their group."

Dawn couldn't help but face palm at the sheer stupidity of it all. "It boggles the mind how Zed and Chandler are getting away with all of this," Dawn muttered. Straightening out herself, Dawn said, "I'll be sure to leave enough of Zed left over for you to have a shot at him, Paul."

Paul nodded once in thanks to Dawn for the gesture. Paul, as well as Barry and Lucas, also nodded hellos to Ash, Brock, and Misty. They would have loved to stay and chat, but they and the rest of the crew of The Big Beauty have to get going back to the Sinnoh region and clean up the mess that Zed and Chandler decided to make by not only ignoring the order to stay out of sight and keeping quiet, but also effectively trying to wrest control over the Sinnoh region from everyone else.

Within short order, the flying ship took up into the air and flew away, leaving behind everyone who they were talking to in Kanto. It's true that the reborn trainers had actually been able to complete the whole of the National Dex, a feat that many the world over were thinking simply wasn't ever going to be happening. There's no denying that having gotten one of each species of Pokémon registered as caught was simply amazing.

But unfortunately, the reborn trainers weren't able to properly enjoy having completed so daunting of a task due to what Zed and Chandler had done in the Sinnoh region. Dawn was SERIOUSLY wishing that the people of Sinnoh would have more common sense than to let those blowhards Zed and Chandler into positions of power and let them go about as they saw fit. Dawn swore that she was going to utterly decimate them when she got to Sinnoh.

Eventually, The Big Beauty landed in Sunyshore City in the Sinnoh region. After landing, the ship's drawbridge shot out, and the reborn trainers were the first ones off and on solid ground. To a lack of surprise on Dawn's part, she and the other reborn trainers were greeted by the sight of some of the trainers in the Sunyshore City trainer militia coming up to greet them.

Before Dawn was able to say anything, a familiar male voice called out, "Dawn, please tell me that you're here to remove Zed and Chandler from power!" Dawn looked over and saw that Reggie was among the trainers who came to greet her and the others. It seemed that word of Reggie being let out of prison was true after all.

"If you can lead me and the others to where we can find them, I'll be glad to," Dawn said dryly.

Trip would have spoken up, but he was cut off when, as other crew members came down the drawbridge, Paul rushed ahead, ran up to Reggie, and threw his arms around him. Paul sounded as if he was choking back sobs while his face was buried in Reggie's chest. For his part, Reggie gave an understanding smile as he gently patted Paul on the back.

Seeing that display reminded Dawn all the more of the fact that there was a LOT of cleaning up to do. And she knew just where to start.

...

Zed and Chandler were both supervising the training of the new recruits into the Sunyshore City trainer militia, which was now just a part of the total overall part of Sinnoh's overall military might which they commanded. With the troops that they now have authority over, they were bound to be able to bring down Team Heart once and for all and get revenge on them, and Chandler was going to have things there start by liberating the Hoenn region.

However, everything was cut off when a female voice was heard shouting (practically roaring with anger) out, "Tsukune, go pin down Chandler!"

"Deelia, you go pin down Zed!" a similarly angry male voice was heard immediately afterwards calling out as well.

Suddenly, Zed and Chandler were both rushed by two enormous dragon Pokémon that knocked them to the ground and kept them pinned, the Pokémon pinning Zed using its front left foot and the Pokémon pinning Chandler using its left hand. As the two men laid prone, helpless, and pinned, the reborn trainers came walking on up to the scene. "What the hell is wrong with you two?!" Dawn cried out angrily at the top of her lungs when she and the others got to the scene.

"Hey, are these your Pokémon?!" Zed said, getting back some nerve, "As Supreme Commander of Sinnoh's military forces, I command you to-HURK!" Zed was cut off when Deelia applied pressure by pressing down a bit on Zed's body.

"You and Chandler both are being removed and thrown into a jail cell where you'll be kept until we can fix the utter mess you both had made of things here, you jackass!" Trip snarled, "You two have no idea of just how badly the both of you had fucked up!"

"You can't remove us from power!" Chandler snarled, "That's mutiny!"

"Actually," Volkner said as he and Jazmina had jogged up to the scene, "Dawn can do so if she wants to. Old Sinnoh region law, and said law is still valid to this day, allows the current Champion of the Sinnoh Pokémon League to take full control of Sinnoh's military forces in times of crisis." Gesturing to Dawn, Volkner said, "Dawn here is the Champion of Sinnoh."

"But the boy is the one saying he's removing us from power!" Zed pointed out, "He doesn't have that authority!"

"I'm the one removing you two idiots, you idiot!" Dawn snapped, "Trip is just assisting me!" With help from Volkner and Jazmina, Dawn frisked Zed and Chandler, removed anything and everything on their persons they could have used to fight back, and then took the both of them away to be kept in a jail cell. Partly for their own protection because they still were technically under the protection of Sinnoh's government, but mostly to get them out of the way because hot damn are they nothing but utter loads to the forces of good fighting against Team Heart.

...

"Okay, what's the situation?" Dawn asked as she and a few others were having a war room meeting with Sinnoh government authorities and various personnel in what military forces the Sinnoh region had to fend off Team Heart with.

Pointing to a map of Sinnoh that laid on the table that everyone stood around, Flint of the Sinnoh Elite Four said, "Team Heart, now that they are aware that the members of Ericson's Company are all here in Sinnoh, are attempting to capture them all and whisk them away to Empire territory. Depending on the member in question, they'll be taken to a different region or territory that's under the banner of the Team Heart regime."

"This all could have been avoided if Zed and the rest of his ilk were supervised properly," Trip said in a snarl, "Why weren't they watched more closely?"

Shrugging, Volkner replied, "You tell me and we'll all know."

Pointing to various spots on the map of Sinnoh, Byron of the Canalave City gym said, "Team Heart is expected to try to send forces from outside of Sinnoh to invade at these four points as they're the easiest points for Team Heart forces from outside of Sinnoh to try to invade the region from. As for the native Sector of Team Heart here in Sinnoh, they're acting up even more. The security for certain persons has been raised to maximum just to be safe."

Dawn nodded once in understanding, as well as a bit of appreciation; one of the protected persons is her and Trip's mom Johanna. There's no way that Dawn would want Team Heart to get at her mom. "What spots can be covered closer to the inner area of region?" Dawn asked.

Pointing out various spots, Byron said, "All of these."

After Dawn took a closer look at all of those spots, as well as the spots that were the four that Team Heart forces from outside of Sinnoh would try to invade the region from, she nodded once in the affirmative. "Good," Dawn said, "Okay, here's what I'm proposing..."

Eventually, the forces that would be fighting against Team Heart's attempt on Sinnoh were spread out and set up. Each of the four points that forces of Team Heart from outside of Sinnoh would try to invade from got one of the reborn trainers plus a few top trainers among the defenders. Strong trainers from the crew of The Big Beauty (which was parked and kept in Twinleaf Town) were then spread out to various areas closer to the center of the region.

Salvia and Freesia, still in their disguises as Kanna and Tohru Kobiyashi, stayed in Sinnoh with Victor and his family, all of them under the guise of security assigned to defend Twinleaf Town from possibly being stricken by Team Heart forces. Given Twinleaf Town's position, it was highly unlikely that Team Heart would get to it until after they take most of the rest of Sinnoh anyway. Not that they would take any of Sinnoh anyway, of course.

Zed and Chandler, both stripped of anything they could use to fight back, were kept in jail in Sunyshore City. As for the rest of Ericson's Company, they were all moved to protective custody where other noted persons were kept, although Dawn made it VERY clear to them that they were to all behave themselves. The rest of Ericson's Company, all of them very pissed at Zed and Chandler for blowing their cover and putting them all in danger, obliged.

Once everything was set up, Dawn as she stood in Sunyshore City looked to Volkner and Jazmina. "So what can we expect when Team Heart forces from outside of Sinnoh come to try to invade the region to collect Zed, Chandler, and the rest of their group?"

"Spies friendly to me who are in Kalos reported over secure communication lines that Team Heart forces plan to have notable trainers in the regions they rule added to the forces being sent to try to invade and take Sinnoh," Jazmina explained, "As a case in point, Kalos Champion Serena is one such trainer, I got word that she got marching orders from the Team Heart authority over in Kalos to help beat down on Sinnoh."

Dawn was concerned about that; Serena owns multiple Pokémon of note, including more than enough legendary Pokémon to have a full party of them. Dawn, Trip, and Kenny each returned to Sinnoh with full parties of legendary Pokémon of their own, but it might be trouble if Serena is one of the elite outside trainers among the forces invading from where Mina is defending. "Do we have any idea where Serena will coming in through?" Dawn asked.

Nodding once, Jazmina said, "Yes, she'll be among the forces invading through here in Sunyshore City." Dawn sighed in relief internally; Dawn herself will probably end up battling Serena, and with the Pokémon that Dawn had brought with her, she was confident that she'll be able to deal with what all Serena will be able to bring to the table.

"We also got word that Champions from various other regions under Team Heart rule will also be among the forces invading Sinnoh," Volkner said. He then proceeded to explain to Dawn who will be invading from where; it did alarm Dawn a bit to hear that literally every Champion from regions that are under Team Heart's banner are expected to be mixed into the Team Heart forces that will all be coming to invade Sinnoh.

There will also be select other trainers of note from those regions as well; case in point, Kieran who had caught Ogrepon here in the Team Heart timeline will be among the Unovan forces coming into the Sinnoh region. But the worst of the enemy forces are predicted to be trying to get into Sinnoh through the points defended by the other reborn trainers, with the easiest among those forces going through where Mina and her backup are defending.

Dawn was beyond pissed that all of this was even happening in the first place. This all could have been avoided if Zed and Chandler had remembered to keep their prides and egos in check, if they had remembered to keep quiet and not do anything to let Team Heart know that they were in the Sinnoh region. But no, they just HAD to come out into the open and proclaim themselves as the top military authorities in the Sinnoh region.

Dawn checked her on hand team of Pokémon; she kept Tsukune, her named Palkia, on hand. But the rest of the party she had when she was at Oak's Lab, she rotated out. Even Chi-Chi, her named Infernape and the first Pokémon she ever got. Even Ezio, her named shiny Eevee, who had become something of a lap pet who cuddled on Dawn's lap as she sat in her special chair in her room back on board of The Big Beauty.

Given that Sinnoh was expected to face invasion from Team Heart along all fronts, the reborn trainers had to bring as much power to the table as possible if Sinnoh were to defend against the invasion and clean up the mess that Zed and Chandler had gone and made because neither of them had ever even heard of the concept of keeping one's ego and pride in check. Someone really needed to strangle those bozos with their own sphincters.

To that end to have as much power as possible, Dawn rotated in as many top Pokémon of lore as she could fit into her party as possible. Sif, her named Zacian, who was holding the Rusted Sword. Kurumu, her named Groudon, who was holding the Red Orb. Veldora, her named Koraidon, who was as strong as it was fast. Fangfang, her named Yveltal, whose ability to fly gave it an edge over Team Heart's many earthbound Pokémon.

Topping it all off was Odin, her named Arceus, who was holding a Pixie Plate. Those five, along with Tsukune (holding the Lustrous Orb) made up the party that Dawn was going into things here with. Dawn was hoping that this would be enough to let her aid in the fending off of Team Heart forces as they come to invade Sinnoh because idiots who were NOT supposed to let Team Heart know they were in Sinnoh... well, let Team Heart know that they were in Sinnoh.

After Dawn was done checking her party, she looked to Volkner and Jazmina. "Is there any word on how the others in my company are doing?" Dawn asked.

"Your brother Trip is aiding in the defense of Canalave City," Volkner began, "Your friend Kenny is aiding in the defense of Snowpoint City, and your friend Mina is aiding in the defense of the Battle Zone."

"Mina was sent to the Battle Zone?" Dawn asked; the Battle Zone is the small island that's part of the Sinnoh region, having the Fight Area, Survival Area, and Resort Area as towns. The Battle Zone, or as it's properly known here Battle Zone Island, is a bit far away for others to rush to if there is a need for aid to be given there.

It also would make for a very strategic stronghold for Team Heart if they're able to take it. Dawn was right away worried that if things began to turn sour when it comes to defending Sinnoh from the Team Heart invasion, it'll start over on Battle Zone Island. "I wasn't aware that Mina had been sent to the Battle Zone," Dawn remarked.

"Sinnoh's government needed someone to defend the Battle Zone," Jazmina explained, "And your friend Mina was chosen for the job. Not to worry, some of your other crew members are with her, and all of them are strong, capable trainers."

Nodding once in appreciation, Dawn said, "I know, but I still can't help but worry."

"What pisses me off is the fact that no-one kept an eye on those idiots Zed and Chandler," Volkner huffed, "Because of them, this entire mess is happening. What in blazes drove them to reveal that they and the rest of their group are here in the Sinnoh region? All that accomplished was putting a big target on Sinnoh's back for Team Heart to take aim at! Do those two idiots not care that their actions not only is going to get Sinnoh invaded by Team Heart, but might very well get a few people killed in the process?"

"Their prides and egos," Dawn began, her tone and expression equally dry, "Two things neither of them are capable of restraining or holding back in the least. And to answer your question on if the two of them care what their actions will lead to, if their past behavior is any indication, then I will have to go with no."

"I've seen people with unrestrainable prides and egos before," Jazmina said, "The petty nobles of the Kalos region. But they have one up on Zed and Chandler in the sense that the Kalosian nobles can actually be handled and dealt with easily due to being predictable. Those two idiots, there is by no means any predicting them."

Shifting in her stance, Dawn said, "There is also no predicting Kenny. But Kenny's unpredictability is charming in a way. Kenny is also, same as us, one of the good guys. An ACTUAL good guy, unlike Zed and Chandler who technically get that title solely due to technicality."

"And we still can't do much of anything to them because they're being protected by the authority of the Sinnoh region's government," Volkner said, "We were barely able to get them off of our backs about how we removed Zed and Chandler from their leadership positions in the region's military forces while we took over!"

Gesturing to Dawn, Jazmina said, "I promise you this. The people of Sinnoh will riot if the region's government doesn't give Zed and Chandler anything more harsh than a slap on the wrist for what their utter stupidity had led to." Dawn could not blame Jazmina for saying that. Dawn was also not able to shake from her mind the image of Kenny actively (and very enthusiastically) taking part in the hypothetical riots Jazmina just mentioned if they were to occur.

Dawn also imagined herself taking part in said rioting, albeit with nowhere near as much frevor as she was imagining Kenny showing during the hypothetical rioting. Dawn looked on ahead, knowing full well that the greatest fight she's had since she was first reborn into this world is coming right for her, for the Sinnoh region as a whole. Her nerves and resolved steeled, Dawn Berlitz, the Champion of Sinnoh and Monarch of the World Coronation Series, braced herself to defend her home region.

(Opelucid City, Unova region)

Bianca, the Boss's Assistant of Team Heart and public face ruler of the Team Heart Empire, was in a meeting room located in a Team Heart government building located in Opelucid City in the Unova region. Bianca sat in on the meeting where the Officer Staff members for the Unova Sector of Team Heart had a meeting discussing the impending invasion of Sinnoh. The security for the meeting room, for the government building as a whole, had been raised to the maximum, given that Bianca herself was there.

"Regions and other territories under the Team Heart banner sent what forces they could while still having sufficient force to maintain control of their lands," First Captain Jahzir said, "Even Unova and the Delacore Islands had sent what forces we can spare."

"Among the Unovan troops of Team Heart members are notable Unovan trainers," spoke up Third Captain Trinity, "Including Unova Champion Nate. We also were able to send Kieran, the boy from Kitakami which is also a Team Heart territory. Kieran owns the legendary Pokémon Ogrepon, and Kieran upon learning his troublesome older sister Carmine is in the Sinnoh region became rather eager to bring her back here to Unova."

"To try to save her from the punishment we're going to dole out to her?" asked Fourth Captain Nolan.

Second Captain Mei gently shook her head in the negative. "No, I got it from Nate that Kieran wants to be the one to personally turn Carmine over to Team Heart authority. It's clear that there is no loss of love between those siblings."

Admin Wolfgang, who heard all of this, had a contemplative look on his face. "...Kieran and I are of a kind. More than he can guess."

"Considering that we've gotten word that Dawn Berlitz and her companionship have all returned to the Sinnoh region," Admin's Assistant Betzabe said to the rest of the Officer Staff, "Team Heart will be needing as many of its territories' strongest trainers of note as possible if we're to be able take the terrorists who had managed to gain refuge in Sinnoh."

"Ideally, it would have been better if we had saved Sinnoh for last in terms of regions to take," said Captain's Assistant Natalie, who served under Jahzir, "We would of had a few more regions worth of strong trainers and men of Team Heart we could spare to send to help try to take Sinnoh then. We're going into things here with less than a full deck."

"Given that Dawn Berlitz and her companionship had heard of Team Heart's current aims for the Sinnoh region well before we were able to begin carrying them out," said Captain's Assistant Mateo, who served under Trinity, "No doubt that they're prepared with the strongest of the Pokémon that all of them own."

"If we're to succeed in taking Sinnoh," began Captain's Assistant Gavin, who served under Nolan, "It will be less about winning in battle straight up and more about finding and capturing certain people in the Sinnoh region. Mostly those in leadership positions in Sinnoh's government, but there's also how some civilians, if we were to capture them, may be useful in coercing Dawn Berlitz and those in her companionship into yielding to Team Heart authority."

"Like their family members?" asked Captain's Assistant Astrid, who served under Mei.

As the Officer Staff members of the Unova Sector of Team Heart continued their meeting, Bianca simply sat quietly as she listened on. It truly did piss her off that the members of Ericson's Company had not only gotten away from Team Heart's reach, but that they had somehow slipped into Sinnoh, the home region of Dawn Berlitz. Sinnoh is also the region where numerous other notable trainers, many of whom have multiple legendary Pokémon, call home.

Natalie had a point; the original plan would have been to save Sinnoh for the end, after enough other regions and other territories were taken. It would have given Team Heart more troops to spare and more notable trainers to give marching orders to. Even Bianca knew better than to take trainers the likes of Dawn Berlitz so lightly.

But Ericson's Company. They had managed to slip into the safety of Sinnoh somehow. Bianca was guessing that Dawn had whisked them away to Sinnoh from out of Alola, no doubt to taunt Bianca and the rest of Team Heart. Team Heart simply cannot ignore Ericson's Company, too many of them are criminal terrorists who had carried out heinous acts on Team Heart soil. And the government of Sinnoh refuses to hand Eric Ericson and the rest of his fellows over.

Now Team Heart had no choice but to begin a large scale invasion of the Sinnoh region, taking the land that Dawn Berlitz and her companionship calls home in the process of finally getting a hold of Eric Ericson and the rest of his fellows so that those bastards can be taken to task for what all they had done. Taking Sinnoh this early does have some benefits, though.

It'll make taking the rest of the regions and other territories of the world far easier. Bianca was not able to imagine even Ash Ketchum being able to stand up to a trainer like Dawn Berlitz in a serious battle. And then there's how the Alola region doesn't have a whole lot in terms of power that it can drum up to fend off a serious invasion that's spearheaded by Dawn. Elio, the Champion of Alola, had no chance against the strongest of what Sinnoh has to offer.

All that Team Heart had to do was succeed in taking Sinnoh right now. But it's going to be a very tall order, especially considering that Dawn isn't the only member of her companionship who owns multiple legendary Pokémon. Bianca was estimating Sinnoh to be the most difficult region for Team Heart to take in conquest, especially considering that it would have been better for Team Heart if they had taken pretty much all other regions first.

But Team Heart had some terrorists to collect, and those villainous fellows were all hiding out over in the Sinnoh region.

END, CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

Author's notes;

The reborn trainers go to Kanto to report to Professor Oak about how they had gotten one of every species of Pokémon registered as caught, thus completing the National Pokédex. Brock also learns that Sophocles has a harem going, and that Misty is one of the girls in the harem. Good cheer is all around, and nothing feels like it can go wrong.

...That is until James and Meowth run on in and inform Dawn and the others about how Zed and Chandler had made public proclamations in Sinnoh where they put themselves in charge of what all military forces Sinnoh has. Team Heart is now aware that Zed, Chandler, and the rest of their group are in the Sinnoh region, and proceed to take appropriate action.

Dawn and the rest of the crew of The Big Beauty have to rush back to Sinnoh, remove Zed and Chandler from the positions they put themselves into, and have to scramble to get ready for Team Heart taking serious action against the Sinnoh region. Dawn and the others aren't going to be able to enjoy having completed the Pokédex. Not right now.

Meanwhile in Unova, the Officer Staff for the Unova Sector of Team Heart have a meeting to discuss Team Heart actions against Sinnoh in its bid to take the region and capture Zed, Chandler, and the rest of their group. Bianca sits in on the meeting, silently contemplating how Dawn had made things a lot harder for Team Heart than Bianca would like.

This is actually the last chapter of the Galar arc, despite how it's not even set in Galar at all. The next chapter will be the first chapter of the Paldea arc, which will see focus on an entire different crew of characters while the invasion of Sinnoh goes on in the background. This is something that I've been wanting to experiment around with for a while, actually.

The main star of the Paldea arc will be Juliana, the female player character from the Scarlet and Violet games. She will be going about her day to day life in a region ruled by the Team Heart Empire, all the while hearing bits and pieces of what's going on in Sinnoh. Juliana also has her heart set on winning over the affections of a certain someone.

The Paldea arc will be an interesting arc indeed. Until then, take care.
