3. First Job

Disclaimer: I do not own Helluva Boss

The next day rolls around. While the couch Ajax slept on wasn't exactly the best thing to sleep on, it served its purpose for him. He even found a closet that had some stuff in it, including a blanket for him to cover himself up with. When he woke up he knew he had to eventually find a way back to his home so he can at least get a change of clothes for himself. His current attire is still dirty from when he was shot after all.

The rest of the employees of IMP are back in the office, with Blitzø happy that Ajax didn't trash the place. Although Loona did give him quite the earful after she noticed he sat at her desk. Her visage didn't really faze him all that much but he did apologize for it. Still he asked for the book to at least keep himself occupied as he sits on one of the chairs in the lobby area.

"You know that's not going to help you." Amidst Ajax's reading, Loona speaks up in a bored tone from her desk. He looks at her for clarification as she stares at her computer screen. "That book. Whatever your reading from it, you won't be able to do anything with it."

"Are you going to tell me exactly what for?" He asks.

"…" She doesn't bother to keep talking, choosing to ignore his question. Ajax hums as he goes back to reading. From what he's read so far the book is some sort of incantation or spell book of a sort. He has pretty good memory of what he's reading so a onceover of each page allows him to commit most of the contents to memories. Some of them are pretty complicated that requires quite the repetiteur of magic and items on hand. Still some of the spells he learns of seem to involve a teleportation of sorts and similar distance travel. It's not an overly complicated book to read up on. It's not like someone would need specific items in order to perform some of the spells, only your own source of magic supply, or the book on hand to perform some of them.

Regardless of the hound not helping him, Ajax gets an idea in mind to help acclimate himself between being on Earth and being at the office in Hell. He would just need—

*SLAM*

The door to the CEO's office slams open, startling Loona, making her fur and tail frazzle a little and stand on end at the surprise. Ajax looks up, still feeling calm and collected at the sudden entrance of his boss.

"Get ready gang we got a new mission on the table!" Blitzø shouts to everyone with a smile on his face.

From the breakroom outsteps the Imp couple, Millie and Moxxie, or M&M as Blitzø has on occasion called them. Millie smiles while Moxxie looks annoyed as he wipes down the front of his clothes, no doubt having dropped something on himself after the loud entrance their boss made. "A new target already sir?" Moxxie.

"Yes indeed my baby-dicked friend." Blitzø says as he places a hand on Moxxie's shoulder. The smaller Imp though rolls his eyes at the untrue description his boss tends to give him. "Only this time unlike our usual contracts of killing jackasses and deadbeats in the city's, towns, countryside's and whatnot, this time we are going far off the beaten dead path now." He explains as he paces in the middle of the room so everyone can see him as he talks. "This time we are going to a fucking jungle people!"

The people in the room have mixed reactions about the news. Loona, even though she is not going, probably doesn't like the sound of trudging through a mosquito, hot, muddy and humid forest that contains Lucifer knows what in the place.

"Ohhh, exotic." Millie mutters in awe at the idea of a new locale for them to go butcher a target. Moxxie looks uneasy, the sheer amount of bugs, insects and wildlife that could be as dangerous to them in terms of size, lethality and disease carrying leaving him wary about the whole thing. Not to mention the mud, dirt and most likely water that could jam up his guns or obscure his scope.

Ajax though has a confused expression on his face as to the nature of the location they are going to, and just who the target is. "Wait a second," He begins to say as he stands up, closing the book as he does and walks over to the door. "The next target you guys have is going to be in a jungle of all places?" He asks and places down the book on Loona's desk, who takes it so she can get ready to send them out. "Who's the target?"

"Ehhhh not sure." Blitzø states with an uncaring tone as he nonchalantly waves his hand. "The client was speaking… something I don't really know or cared to have a dictionary to have over the phone. Basically after a while he figured it out I wasn't going to understand so he sounded it out in English finally to a few key words. 'Drugs. Jungle. Man. Kill. Pay.'" Some of them look unsure of the very lack of information their boss got of the whole thing. "Also he was able to provide the coordinates for the location of the target riiiiiiiiiight…" He holds the last word for a few seconds as he fishes out a map from his coat and places it on a nearby coffee table. Everyone leans in as he quickly looks all over. "Here!" He triumphantly shouts as he places his finger on a spot on the map. "You got that Loony?" He looks upside towards his daughter with a smile on his face.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." She takes a look at the map before stepping to the far wall and gets ready to open the portal.

"Perfect! Let's go people!" Blitzø shouts as he pulls out his flintlock pistol.

Millie smiles as she pulls out a menacingly notched black dagger and steps close to her boss.

"Uhhh sir!" Moxxie begins to say in haste and worry as he holds onto his sniper rifle he managed to grab. "I don't mean to question the validity of the client but that seems like a severe lack of information to…"

While Moxxie is trying to talk some sense into his boss, Ajax is staring at the spot on the map. Mental calculations and any remembrance of Earth's landscape as he tries to figure out why their target is somehow in the middle of a jungle in Columbia that has no towns or cities close by.

Just as the portal opens up his eyes widen. "Wait!" He shouts and runs to the portal.

"Shake a leg newbie or I'm docking your pay!" Blitzø shouts as he, Millie and Moxxie jump through the portal with the boss looking around. "Huh, figured the target was in this dirty cesspool of a fucking—"

"Helar! (Freeze!)"

Suddenly, everyone freezes up at the new voice before the repeated sounds of guns cocking and loading can be heard. From the point of view of Loon and Ajax, they watch as almost a dozen men in various green and tan colored clothes pop up from the sides and aim their weapons at the Imps in question. The weapons used are a mix of FAL's, M4's, some SMG's like Uzi's and MP4's, but the large majority of them seem to have AK variant weapons. The Imps look like deers caught in headlights at the dozen guns pointed at them with Moxxie putting his hands up, Millie looking worried and Blitzø looking annoyed. "Oh for the love of—"

"Como llegaste hasta aqui? (How did you get here?)" One of the men, a black man wearing a dark green vest and tan shorst holding an AK-74u to Blitzø's face, yells in a Columbian accent and shakes the gun at him.

"…What?" Blitzø questions. Even as the man yells some more at them, they still don't know what he's saying. "I don't speak foreign! Speak English damnit!"

The man looks ready to start unloading into the Imps face.

"Mirar! (Look!)" One of them shouts and points to the portal, more specifically at Ajax and Loona. A few more guns begin to train on them but Ajax is already ready for them. He steps right up to Loona and slams the book closed in her hands. The portal quickly closes up and disappears from view. Loona blinks in confusion for a few seconds before she stares at Ajax's hands on hers. He takes his hands away but she looks at him furiously.

"What the fuck was that?!" She yells at him, teeth baring and ready to tear him apart but Ajax is already turned around and staring at where the portal was. "Why the hell did you do that?! Don't you ever touch me like that or I swear I will—!"

"Do you know where you opened that portal at?" He asks in a calm tone, not reacting at all to the angry Hellhound next to him, just a focused and firm look on his face as a plan and theory's begin to form in his mind.

Loona looks on confused, taken surprise by the sudden change in subject before she shakes her head and resumes her anger. "Where— I don't fucking know! Blitzø gave me the coordinates and I opened the portal there! That was it! What the fuck was all that?!" She shouts as she waves her hand at where the portal was.

Ajax doesn't answer her right away. He looks at the location on the map that was marked. A target, in the middle of the jungle, who pissed someone off enough to want them dead, with about a dozen other people there. Not just regular people but people all carrying heavy weapons and armaments. They were quick to respond and immediately all had their weapons trained on the intruders on a moments notice. He lets out a sigh as things begin to piece together in his mind. From the accents, the weapons, the men, the language, it's not a pretty picture.

"HEY!" Loona shouts, grabbing him and turning him around so he can stare at her glaring red eyes. "I said what the fuck—?!"

Before she can finish, he manages to grab her wrists, force them off him with a very surprising amount of strength and forces them back to her sides. This enables him to lean in close, real close to her and stare at her. This time though, before she saw an old man who was just going to be a nuisance there at the office. Now… the eyes that are staring at her speak many thing but theirs one sentence that speaks out at the forefront of her mind as the hardened angry stare hits her:

Don't fuck with me.

"What happened?" He asks her in a calm voice, snapping her out of her thoughts as he continues to stare in anger, not at her specifically but just for the situation in general. He still manages to speak calmly and evenly towards her. "What happened is… it just so happened that you opened a portal right in the middle of a Columbian Drug lords fortified compound." He finally lets her go as he turns around and places his hand to his head and thinks.

Loona blinks at the information, confusion now overwriting her earlier anger. "A… compound? What? I don't…?"

"Weapons." He speaks again, looking back at her. "I need weapons. Guns preferably. Any weapons you all have on hand."

She stammers a little at sheer commanding force that Ajax has about him as he addresses her before she swallows. "O-over here." She quickly heads over to a nearby door and opens it to a hallway. She walks off with Ajax close on her heels. "Most of the gear that they use on missions is usually locked in this room here." She informs him as they make it to a large steel framed door. "If they ever need a few more things to help in killing their targets, they usually go here." She quickly takes out a set of keys and looks at them stunned before she yells out in anger. "Grrrrhh! Damnit Blitzø! I told him to label these fucking things." She frustratingly states as she's got over a dozen keys before she annoyingly begins to try each key to find the one that works. A few silent moments pass between the two of them as she tries to unlock the door as Ajax stares at he door. "… What are you going to do?"

He looks at her. She didn't turn back to answer him, just asked her question as she continues to fiddle with the keys. He stares at the back of her head for a few seconds before smirking. "Hm, what does it look like? I'm going to go save them."

*Click*

"Finally!" She shouts with a smile as she door unlocks. "Wait…" She pauses as she realizes what he said. "Save them? You?" She asks in almost disbelief. She steps away from the door and looks at him skeptically. "Seriously though, you, are expecting to get into that place that has over a dozen armed men, break in, save the others and somehow not get killed?" She shakes her head before chuckling at him. "That's… no. What are you going to do? Break your hip at them?" She continues to talk to him, focusing on the old age he is.

"…" He doesn't respond to her though. He just glances at her, not at all perturbed by the skepticism from her nor the insults she gives him. Instead he pushes open the door and walks in. Already he doesn't like what he's seeing. "Oh for gods sake." The entire room is small but with plethora of weapons. Tons of different types of melee weapons adorn one of the walls, from giant battleaxes, hammers, dozens of knives, daggers, stilettos and some swords to round off what they have. On the middle wall there are only a few guns placed in a locker, some sniper rifle looking weapons with designs he's never seen before, some revolvers and other guns pinned to the wall and a couple black pistols with red accents placed onto the wall within some holders.

The last part of the wall though, is barely anything he can tell what there is. A large pile of items is haphazardly thrown against the wall, with some of the pile covering the middle wall too. Theirs many random miscellaneous items but a large number of them seem to be random weapons, guns, melee weapons, magazines and bullets. The pile of weapons makes him wary to go digging through them for fear of a loaded gun going off or any explosives that might be hidden in them to detonate. Pretty sure he also saw some hand grenades laying about too.

Shaking his head at the thought, he walks over to the wall of guns and grabs one of the black pistols off it. Quickly pulling the slide back to eject any rounds inside, which there are none, he checks to make sure its working properly, from the cycling with the chamber, the trigger working, safety and so forth. The black pistol looks like a regular 1911 handgun design but has an almost completely black finish to it with a red decal along the back part and handle of the gun. "Hm, not bad." He comments and grabs some magazines, finding that they are chambered in .45 ACP. Unfortunately he doesn't find a silencer for him to work with, making him groan. "Seriously? What kind of assassins don't have silencers?" And he is not about to trapsing about in the pile for one. With having a gun in hand, he he's about to head to the door before he looks at the wall of melee weapons, spotting two black daggers crossed together. Grabbing the both of them, they have a very menacing blade design to them, looking something like a combination of combat knife and a karambit. A similar red decal is etched into the blackened shiny blades as well. "Okay, this can work." Grabbing some sheathes for the blades and holster for his new gun, he's kitted out as best as he can considering the gear he's found. A rifle is not an option as he needs to get into the compound in order to find the others so attacking from a distance will only alert the enemy and possibly get his fellow employees dead.

He steps out of the room with Loona eyeing his new gear with skepticism in her look. "Open the portal but this time open it a click away from the original opening." Ajax instructs her to do.

"A what away?" Loona replies confused as she opens the book.

"A kilometer. Half a mile."

"Fine geez! Not everyone knows your old man jargon." She mutters the last part as the portal opens up.

"I heard that." Ajax replies annoyed as he takes a look at the portal, noting the large amount of foliage, dirt and rocks around, a far cry from the previous portals position.

"Whatever. Here." He raises his hand and catches something thrown to him from Loona. He opens his hand and finds she threw him a black smartphone. "A spare phone we have. Chances are Blitzø probably lost his so use that to call me and I'll get you guys back. It's got my number plugged into it." He nods at her and prepares himself to walk through. "You do know how to use a smartphone right? It's not like one of those flip phones you know." Loona can't help but add one more jest to the man.

"…" He doesn't answer her, making Loona frown at the silence. She looks as Ajax's body begins to tense up, his arms go rigid, he pops his neck as he cranes it around. He also begins to flex his fingers tightly, his knuckles popping as he prepares himself. "…There's a saying back on earth:" Ajax speaks, snapping Loona out of her staring and looking at him. Just before he steps through the portal, he glances to the side and looks at Loona off the corner of his eye, a firm hardened glare on his look as he's ready to go. "'Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young.'"

Without another word, he jumps through the portal. As he passes through the portal closes shut behind him, leaving Loona all alone as she stares at where he just left through. Since the human basically was hired to be a part of their group, Loona didn't like. She didn't like the idea of a human being there in Hell, nor joining their business and possibly screwing things for her and everyone else. She may be bitter at the forced situation she has herself in at IMP. It's either being adopted by Blitzø and working there, or being out on her ass in the streets without anything to her name. She may not like it but she will take the free room and board. She thought the human was going to be a pansy in some way, not someone that could measure up or be of any use to someone from Hell.

But the looks he has, the glares, the tone, his voice and just this… commanding aura about him. It all screams someone who's seen a lot and been through a lot more than anyone else alive, especially considering what Blitzø told her how they met him. Getting shot is one way to have been introduced to them. Yet it was only a short time ago that he got shot and was up and moving in less than a week without any signs of discomfort from getting shot.

"Holy… shit…" She murmurs as she runs one of her paws through her hair and lets out a sigh. "Fucking hell Blitzø… who the fuck did you hire?"

She doesn't get an answer. Only silence.

"… Well, shit." Blitzø mutters angrily. After he and M&M went through the portal, they all immediately got jumped and held up at gunpoint. Nothing to do, they were forced to give up their weapons and anything else they had in their pockets before being escorted inside and tied to three chairs in a small cement room with a steel iron door prison door. The place also has a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling as the three of them sit in their wooden chairs tied up. A vent can be seen on a part of the ceiling behind the Imps. A small metal table is placed in the room as well but theirs nothing on it. Honestly its what you would expect from your average cliché torture room setup. "This sucks."

"Sir, do you think perhaps you should have gotten some more information from the client about the target? Like say the fact that he seems to have an ARMY OF ARMED GUARDS?!" Moxxie starts off speaking sarcastically before going absolutely angry and screaming at his boss.

"And do you remember the fact that I couldn't understand a single fucking thing he was saying?!" Blitzø replies back in annoyance.

"So you took the job without learning everything?!"

"How many targets do we have to deal with that involve bullshit like this?!" He gestures with his head to the room all around them. "How was I supposed to know this was the time we were going to deal with a lot more shit?"

Moxxie and Blitzø continue to yell back and forth with each other. Meanwhile Millie just looks on bored and blows a strand of hair out of her face. Amidst the yelling though she hears the sounds of multiple feet stomping and seem to be getting closer. Her years of being an assassin allows her to be pretty accurate with her hearing on the environment at times. "Hey boys!" She shouts to get their attention.

"And you—!"

"Why don't you—!"

*SMACK*

"Ow!" Both boys shout in pain as Millie shifts her chair and slams into the both of them.

"Honey, what was that for?" Moxxie asks hurt by her sudden action.

"Yeah Mills. What the fuck?" Blitzø adds as he shimmies a little in his chair.

"Some people are coming."

They both look at her confused before the sounds of the footsteps can be heard clear as day. All three of them quiet down and stare at the door as the sounds locks opening can be heard. Soon enough the door opens up and five guys can be seen. Two men step through the door carrying AK-47's and stand on opposite sides of the door.

The next man that walks in is Caucasian and a lot more confident looking as he walks in wearing a dark green vest with a white button up shirt underneath and some gray combat pants. He wears black combat boots and has some dark green fingerless gloves, which he has them clasped behind his back. He has slick black hair, brown eyes and a scar running from the left top of his lip to the middle of his chin. A pistol can be seen in a holster on his left leg. Most of the stuff about him screams that he's the leader of the soldiers in the compound.

Three more guards walk in carrying shotguns and two head to the corners of the room against the wall the door is on, turning and holding their guns up and staring at the Imps in the center of the room. The third one steps up next to the leader, almost like a lieutenant of sorts, as they stare at the Imps.

The leader steps closer and looks down at Blitzø before his eyes slowly crane towards Moxxie and then Millie. He purses his lips before staring back at Blitzø. "My name is Savam Mondaru. I own this building and this entire compound. I have guards stationed at all points of entrance, doors locked tight and guard towers setup at every corner watching many angles for any and all intruders." He explains a bit in a calm tone. His demeanor though changes to one of anger as he leans in dangerously close to Blitzø's face and speaks again, "So I would like you to answer two questions: what in all the god damn hells are you? And how the fuck did you get into the middle of my compound?"

"Well I'd be happy to oblige except that these ropes you have us in are kind of distracting me at the moment so if you could just—"

*Smack*

"Oof!" Blitzø grunts as the man gut punches him. Both Moxxie and Millie look at their boss in concern but the Imp just shakes his head and takes in some air. "Ahaha. Yeah… I figured you weren't the accommodating sort for guests." He straightens himself up and gives the leader a smug smile.

"Sir, maybe you shouldn't antagonize the—"

"Quiet!" The lieutenant standing next to the drug lord leader suddenly yells out. The man himself looks on annoyed while the grunt looks angry. "We weren't talking to you!" Moxxie flinches at the raging glare on him now, completely surprised by the action.

"Sweetie just let Blitzø do what he—"

"Sweetie?!"

"Arh!"

"Millie!"

The lieutenant suddenly grabs onto Millie's face and forces her to look at him. "Oh fuck." Blitzø mutters as he rolls his eyes.

"So you two sweet on each other?" The grunt mutters as he gets a good look at Millie, twisting her face to the side and such. Moxxie glares daggers at the man as he almost begins to grope his wife. "Well now, isn't that interesting. You all better start giving us some information before we have to start resorting to more… physical means." Millie lets out an almost feral growl through clenched teeth.

"Better not try that." Blitzø advises with a small smirk. The lieutenant though completely ignores him in favor of his own means.

The man leans in close to one of her ears. "Of course, I'm sure me and the boys will be happy to get physical with a little thing like yo—"

"NracK!"

"Craaaaah!"

In the span of a second, the mans grip on her face loosens and that's the chance she needs. With her mouth wide opens, she proceeds to bite onto the mans ear and tears it right off. The lieutenant screams as he latches onto his wound, stepping back a few steps and letting out pain groans. "You… you… fucking…. Bitch!" The man stammers as he glares at her, one hand clutching his wound while his other hand his clenched tightly into a fist.

"Told you." Blitzø adds, the smile still on his face.

"Ptew!" Millie simply spits out the ear to the side, her mouth matted with blood, including her teeth as she gives him a chesire smile. "How's that for physical?"

*Smack*

"Millie!" Moxxie shouts again as the man backhands Millie with his fist, making her fall over and land on her side.

"I'm going to teach you a fucking lesson you fucking freak!" The lieutenant says as he kneels next to Millie, making the leader scowl at the actions of his underling.

Moxxie however gets his attention. "Hey!"

His fist freezes in the air as he turns his glare to Moxxie. "Fuck you you stupid—!"

"Hya!"

The lieutenant looking up towards Moxxie was just what the Imp needed. They had bound their arms to the back of the chairs but their feet and legs were still free. Moxxie was just close enough where as soon as the man turned to him, one of his hooves is sent forward with a vicious strike, impacting right at the humans trachea. The lieutenant lets out a strangled cough before he falls onto his back, his hand leaving his ear wound and now both hands clutching his throat. Everyone stares at the man as he tries to breathe but is unable to, letting out weak strangled grunts as he desperately tries to breath through his crushed windpipe. He twitches, twists and turns for a few seconds until soon after his body goes still and falls limp.

"… Nice hit Mox." Millie from her spot on the floor smiles and compliments her husband.

Moxxie lets a small smile hit his face before he turns to nervousness on the fact he just killed one of the leader of this heavily armed compounds men. He slowly glances to the man, expecting a myriad of emotions similar to anger and rage… but all he sees is annoyance on the mans face. He groans as he shakes his head. "Stupid…" He then lets out a sharp whistle. Two more men walk into the room, this time they don't have weapons. "Saca a este idiota de aqui. Alimentelo al bosque. (Get this idiot out of here. Feed him to the jungle.)" He instructs and gestures to the men to the body. Without a word from them they walk up to the body and proceed to grab its arms and drag it out of the room. The Imps and the leader, Savam, stare as the body is dragged out of the room and the door closes behind them. Once they leave Savam pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a frustrated sigh. "I… apologize for that. He has been overstepping his position as of late. He recently executed several of my men on the basis that they were skimming more money than they earned when we weren't looking. While I don't abide by that I didn't like that he used my name to execute them." He explains as he steps around to the side a few times. All the Imps stare at him, even Millie on the floor, but the rest of the soldiers in the room all remain stoic and still as guards should. Savam kneels down and stares directly at Blitzø's eyes. "So in fact really, you may have just done me a favor. So for that, I ask you this: What are you? Where did you come from…? and what was that portal my men saw?"

Blitzø stays staring at the man for a good few seconds. He purses his lips and lets out a tired resigned sigh. He opens his mouth to speak.

*BOOOOM*

Half an hour earlier…

Ajax grunts as he lands on the ground. The portal closes behind him as he goes up to his full height. He glances back to where the portal was just then and he sighs. "Okay, no going back now." Resigned to his set path, he looks around.

The forest around him hits him with a wave of humidity. Your average look of a forest in the amazon looks just like what he's seeing. Large lush trees, bushes and wet fertile soil, not mud but just wet soil. Many of the trees block a fair bit of the sun in the sky but the forest is still quite illuminated regardless. The far off echoing and noises of a various animals can be heard, mostly bird and other avian types, along with the slightly smaller noises of amphibians such as toads and—

*Slap*

He slaps the side of his face. He looks down at his hand to find a crushed mosquito. "Mmm." He hums before wiping the insect off on his pants. "Where to go?" He asks himself and finds a relatively clear path through some trees that lead upwards towards a large hill. 'Get some high ground. Find anything that looks manmade.' Destination in mind he begins his trek upwards as he steadily gains ground upwards. His bones ache just a little from the exertion his is applying on his body, having not done any strenuous activity such as actual climbing in so long. At the same time his abdomen aches from the gunshot he sustained before. While he has a remarkably high tolerance for pain and surprisingly effective healing, a day is not enough time for him to fully heal or for it to not debilitate him.

Regardless he pushes forward and in no time at all he makes it to the top. As soon as he stands on top of the hill, he doesn't have to look far for his target. Instantly he spots a small column of smoke, emanating right from the middle of a massive large compound in the middle of the forest. From what he can tell the place is surrounded by a large light grey cement construct of high walls, with some wooden planks and logs used for some parts of the wall that may be in slight disrepair. Watchtowers also appear at all four corners of the compound. From the distance he barely makes out some small specks walking along the walls. A well used road is made and leads from the front entrance of the compound to further out into the forest, most likely somewhere to civilization. Different vehicles and movements can be seen moving about inside the compound as well. He presses his lips tightly as he begins to take into account what he sees and a plan begins to form in his mind.

But first, he needs to get there.

He steps forward and begins his slide down the hill. Several minutes pass by as he makes his way forward through the dense vegetation, taking care to not disturb any animals or an hazards that might injure and debilitate him further than what he already is. He also makes sure to keep an eye out for patrols but as he gets closer he doesn't find any patrols of guards. It would seem the majority of the guards are placed in the compounds perimeter. Much easier for him to put his plan into motion. As he gets closer the size of the compound comes to mind, showing the place to be wider and bigger than football field with several buildings lining the interior of the place. Eventually he manages to make it to the wall of his destination. He quickly presses himself tightly against and the wall and takes a moment to catch his breath.

The sounds of vehicles moving and heavy machinery can be heard just past the wall. He was barely able to make it to the wall as the guards were looking in another direction. Unfortunately most of the wall he's leaning on is largely intact with some cracks here and there and any holes that were in it have been relatively patched. Carefully he shimmies himself along the wall until he makes it to the corner. A quick peer around the corner shows another largely intact wall. 'Damnit.' He crouch walks his way to the other side. This time he smirks as he finds a hole in the wall with several planks of wood placed against it. Taking care to go around the corner, and being mindful of anymore sentries, he slides to the center of the wall, finding himself right at what he was looking for. He can't tell exactly how big the wall is as it's mostly covered by the wood but it's best thing he's got that's not the main entrance. The wood pieces are simply placed over the whole, with a medium sized wooden crate covered in a small growing number of vines and latched onto it, including snaking pieces of the vines into small holes and broken pieces on the crate.

Ajax quickly looks up, straining as best he can to hear of anyone up top but doesn't hear or see anyone close by. He grabs the crate and slowly but carefully tries to push the crate out of the way. At least only a little bit so he can move the planks out of the way. He quietly strains though as the crate refuses to move. When he stops trying to push, he finds that the vines have latched onto the crate quite a lot. A small growl of annoyance, he takes out his new knife and begins cutting.

*SHINK*

His eyes widen as the knife effortlessly cuts the first vine and carves a deep gouge into the crate, so much so he quickly presses himself against the wall again at the sound of the wood tearing a little. His heart beats harshly and roughly as he stares upwards, his heart almost skipping a beat as he spots a head peak over the side of the wall just barely to his right. He holds his breath as the man looks a little but doesn't look far enough down to spot him. The guard pulls back and Ajax stays pressed against the wall for almost a minute to make sure the guard goes far enough away in his patrol. He lets out large exhale of air and steady's his breathing. He wipes the sweat from his brow and looks at the knife in his hand. 'Holy fuck. That sliced so easily.' Whatever they made the knife of is top quality as the blade is completely clean of any wood fragments or grassy vine stains. He nods impressed at the weapon before going back to cutting the box free. This time he does it more gingerly and carefully, not putting as much pressure and force and just slowly watching as the vines easily cut along the blade. With the blades amazingly sharp feature, the vines are completely detached from the box and he's able to carefully move it out of the way. He doesn't push it completely out of the way though, just enough for him to shimmy himself behind it as so he can move one of the boards out of the way.

With one of the boards slid to the side, he now can completely see the hole in the wall, his ticket inside. It's a smallish fit, one that he should be able to wedge himself through, albeit with a little difficulty but he can manage. He's managed through worse before. Moving some of the planks out of the way for him to go through, he carefully makes his way through the wall. At the base its over a couple feet thick with jagged edges in the crack. Part way through he has to exhale as much as he can to squeeze through. He also has to grab one of the boards on the outside and move it back into place, just on the off-chance someone decides to check the hole. It's not perfect but he isn't exactly looking to take a tour of the place.

After a several tense moments of him not breathing and shimmying his way through, he makes it through. "Puuuuhh!" He quickly takes in air again and regains his breathing. Luckily theirs a large wooden scaffolding he's walked under, allowing him to hide under it and the stairs attached to it in the shadows so he can rest for a second. He sheathes his knife and it only takes a few seconds for him to before he's ready to go again. He hides behind a stack of blue oil drums and examines the place from behind a single drum. The place is slightly bustling with some forklifts moving crates and other oil drums around, into a warehouse or onto some transport trucks. He has no idea what it is exactly they are transporting but from the smell in the drums next to him, its not just oil in them. With the amount of armed guards he's seeing, including some workers packing a sidearm, he's definitely stumbled into a drug compound.

'Okay then… where are you three?' He questions in his head as he narrows his eyes, carefully looking around for any signs of them. None of the buildings are labeled from what he can tell, making his efforts to find them that much harder. 'Guess I should have known they wouldn't have left them in a jail they have here. That's asking too much of life. Maybe I can—'

"Did you see what happened earlier?" Ajax ducks down as a voice with an African accent can be heard very close by.

"You mean the Halloween costumed freaks that suddenly appeared in the middle of the place?" He peaks up carefully, now finding a black guy and a Caucasian man with an American accent talking in front of him, their backs to Ajax. "How could I not? The whole place went on alert the second they were spotted. I can't count how many of us had our guns aimed at the fuckers."

"But where did they come from? I thought we had all the entrances guarded?" The black man asks in a surprised and stumped tone, still trying to figure out what had happened with the new guests.

"Beats me." The Caucasian man shrugs his shoulders and lays his AK on his shoulder nonchalantly. "Some of the other guys are talking about some weird portal shit they saw but I don't know. I didn't get a good look at the whole scene, just the uninvited guests." He nods to a certain building. "The boss has already got them detained and ready to be interrogated."

They begin walking away. "That's good. We can figure out what happened and make sure it doesn't happen…" They walk far enough away that Ajax is able to make his way out and look in the direction one of them gestured to. Despite several buildings being clustered together, one of them is bigger, larger, has more guards on and around it and even has a couple satellite dishes on top. Already the place has the markings of a highly important structure for the compound. So either it's the main command center of the place, with the leader placing himself there so he can take command and coordinate his infrastructure from the centermost place in the location. At the very least, Ajax should be able to find a map or something that can give him a layout of the place and figure out where the others are if they aren't already there.

'Okay then… get back to it old man.' A large Deuce and a half M35 truck makes its way in front of him before stopping. Some dialogue can be heard between the driver and another worker nearby but this is the opportunity Ajax needs to cross the open. Quickly looking to the sides to make sure the guards from earlier and anyone else isn't looking in his general direction, he dashes forward; the loud sound of the trucks engine masking the sounds of his rapid movement, including the sliding he does as he slides and rolls under the truck. He spots the feet of the worker talking to the driver next to the driver side door. It's only a short distance away for him to make his way to the next building, which is a warehouse of sorts.

He just needs to wait for the right opportunity. It comes a few moments later as the worker steps away from the truck and heads for the warehouses door. The cranking of the engines gears can be heard as it begins to move. Not wanting to be exposed or crushed, Ajax rolls back out from under it and quickly makes his way to the worker while he's still masked by the noise. As soon as the worker opens the door and is through, Ajax is immediately on him. He grabs the man in a chokehold, covering his mouth as he does as well. While the man struggles in his grip, a quick look shows no one nearby so he quickly pulls the struggling man to the side behind some boxes and out of sight. He tightens his grip a little bit more, making the man struggle more but also depriving him of oxygen much faster. His struggles only accelerate what Ajax wants. It's only a moment later that the struggles begin to weaken. Ajax counts the seconds until the man is completely knocked out. He gently lays the body down on the ground, out of sight of anyone in the building. Once he does so, he starts searching through his pockets and clothes for anything he can find of use.

He finds two items he can use. The man is carrying a sidearm, a 1911 to be exact. Still no silencer but he won't say no to an extra gun. He takes any magazines the man has and grabs the other item, which is a small ring of keys for his use. Each one is labeled much to his relief so he can know what's for what without him having to try several keys before finding the right one. He takes a rag the man had and wraps up the keys, limiting the jingling and jangling they'll do on his person. He peeks out from his hiding place and looks around.

The warehouse he's in seems to be a motor pool of sorts, with several vehicles disassembled and on lifters, even chains to be off the ground. Workers and guards are all over the place, many of them working on the vehicles with the guards standing watch. 'Okay, now where to?' It doesn't take him long to find a door nearby for him to enter that leads in the general direction of the building he was looking for. Just past it though he spots a large pile of propane tanks clustered together. He smiles at the opportunity. 'Well, now that can be a really nice distraction.' When no ones looking he dashes for the pile and with the sounds of power tools and welding torches being used, he begins opening as many propane tanks, letting the gas contents out of them. With the many hissing sounds of the tanks going off, he quickly begins to make his escape out the door he passed. Just before he goes he finds a jerrycan of gasoline. Without thinking he grabs the canister and opens it and leaves it laying the ground, more specifically in the direction of the nearest welding torch user as the gasoline begins to pour in his general direction. It's not a fast pour but might as well add as much fuel to the literal fire he's setting up. Just as he opens and leaves through the door, having the right key of course, he gets a whiff of the propane smell and begins making his way through the hallways to get out and far away from the potential blast site.

"Hey what are you—?"

*SHINK*

Just as he runs to a corner, a man walks out and begins to speak. In an instant Ajax pulls his knife out and slices the mans throat. There is no resistance as the blade glides through the flesh. The man chokes as his body is jerked around, his hands flying up to grab the bleeding wound. Ajax doesn't let him suffer long as he plunges the blade right into the base of his skull from behind, killing him instantly. Not even bothering to hide the evidence he lets it fall and continues going. A few twists and turns through more hallways and he finds another door to the outside. Before he goes to said door he finds a double set of doors that has a sign right next to it:

Armory

A smile slowly forms on his face as he takes out the armory key and peeks inside. It's a large room with hundreds of guns of all kinds lining the walls and placed in lockers. Several men and guards can be seen checking the weapons and inspecting the inventory. Another plan forms in his mind as he spots a box of grenades within arms reach of the door. Before he can grab it though, he notices another set of items on the table next to it. These items are not part of the armory here because they are of the same weapons and items that were carried by the recently acquired prisoners for the place. 'Perfect.' He quickly swipes them, although he pauses to note the flintlock among them but shakes his head and grabs it still before slinging the rifle over his shoulder, and after grabbing the box he takes out a couple pineapple grenades and places the box down on the ground and props the door open. As much as he would like to raid the place for a silencer and any other goodies, his actions earlier require him to get moving.

Grabbing the key for the door outside, he peeks out a crack in the door as it opens just slightly. There is only one man guarding it. 'Easy enough.' Opening the door just wide enough for him to slip through, he sneaks up behind him and plunged the blade again to the back of his skull. He doesn't have time to scream or move, just falls limp into Ajax's arms. He quickly tosses the body inside the building and just before closing the door, he pulls the pin on both grenades. One he tosses at the door, banking it off the propped open door to go inside the armory, the other he rolls it next to the box propping the door open. He quickly relocks the door before moving away, this time in a more sprint crouching way. A large pile of pipes become his go to cover as he takes a breather and hunkers down for the—

*BOOOOOOOM*

He drops to the ground as explosions goes off in the building he was just in. He covers his head as it goes off, shifting himself closer to the pipes so he has something next to him to provide some sort of cover. The sounds of yelling, screaming, the twisting and tearing of metal can be heard, including the sounds of other smaller explosions going off. He almost flinches as the rush of air hits him, amongst the sudden heat his back is hit with, as something loud and metallic lands dangerously close to him. Moments pass as he waits for the explosions and inferno to die down. When it does he also hears the loud shouts of other people and guards directing people. A small squad of men's stomping foots can be heard really close to him. He almost prays that they don't find but thankfully they pass him right by. As he looks up from under his arms, he suddenly finds himself in a small darkened area. A brief moment of confusion hits him till he crawls forward until he's out from under the shade. As soon as he does he gets up, after making sure theirs no one looking in his direction, and realizes what happened.

A large piece of sheet metal from the warehouse was blasted outwards and into the air, landing right on top of him. This would have crushed him or seriously injured him if he hadn't been next to something to take the hit. 'Wow, that was close.'

*PING*

"FUCK!" He shouts as a bullet impacts near his head. He drops down and moves behind a nearby building. He quickly takes out his black devil pistol, expecting more gunshots to his person as he figures he's been made, but more screams can be heard as the bullet impacts are way too inconsistent and impacting all over the place. The ammo inside the building is cooking off and he can even see some guards elsewhere actually dying as they get hit by stray rounds.

"Well this is even better than I hoped." He smirks as now its hard for anyone to distinguish the sounds of gunfire going off.

*Bang*

Which he demonstrates by shooting a guard that rounded a corner and spotted him. As the man falls dead, no one seems to run to him to investigate as they are all focused on an even larger threat. A subtle grin forms on his lips as takes out his knife in his free hand, gun in the other. A wave of nostalgia and familiarity hits him as he gets himself ready.

"Okay then… let's do this." Weapons aimed forward, knife held close, he sprints forward, making his way towards his destination, no longer requiring as much stealth as he had before.

"What the fuck was that?!" Savam shouts into his radio. An explosion rocks the room, a massive one at that and the leader went straight to his radio clipped to his belt to get information as to what happened.

"Sir! The motor pool and one of our armory's just went up! It… exploded!" One of his lieutenants informs him through the radio.

"What do you mean it 'exploded?'" He asks, teeth gritting and seething in anger as he paces from side to side. Just as he asks that he can hear the distance pops of gunfire.

"It just went up in flames! We can't put out the fires because the ammo is cooking off! I've got a dozen guys shot already and it's not stopping!"

"Motherfucker!" The leader shouts as he kicks the table, the loud bang of metal making quite the racket in the small room. He takes a second to growl in anger at the quick deterioration of his organization. He takes a second to compose himself before clicking the radio back on again. "Listen, I don't care how you do it, just get the fire under control. Take some riot shields, put some metal sheets down, use the armored cars to get closer I don't give a fuck! Just make sure the entire compound and all our product doesn't burn to the fucking ground! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

"Ye-yes sir! We'll get it done!" The man on the other side replies before shutting his radio off.

The leader takes a second to take a deep breath before turning around and glaring at the Imps. "… Who?"

Blitzø cocks his eyebrow in confusion. "Who? Who wha- Nrgk!" Before he can finish asking, a hand reaches forward and wraps itself around his throat.

"Don't fuck with me! I was willing to be at least somewhat courteous after you removed an annoying gnat in my command but now for some reason I have shit blowing up around here so that can't be a fucking coincidence!" He yells and shouts into Blitzø's face. His grip on his throat is tight enough that the Imp boss can't speak, only grunt and sneer at the leader in front of him. "So I'll ask again: who the fuck is attacking my compound?!" He shouts and pushes Blitzø back forcibly.

The Imp leans back precariously before Moxxie pushes him forward a little with his foot as Blitzø coughs harshly from the lack of oxygen. He coughs a few times before shaking his head as he looks down. "Fucking hell… that wasn't fun… usually that type of stuff is." He lets out a small chuckle at that before looking up at the leader, who is still glaring at him fiercely. "Look, I don't exactly have an army at my disposal. My killers are right here so whatever is happening to your stuff is your thing, not mine or ours. So why don't you go out and fix your shit before you lose—" Blitzø stops mid-sentence as he gets a thought in his head, a curious idea on who is attacking. 'Maybe? Can't be Loony. At least I hope to every god and deity out there it isn't her so maybe…'

Savam start to get furious as now the hell creature in front of him seems to be thinking of something else instead of answering his question.

*Bang*Bang*Bang*

Everyone perks up and looks back towards the door as several gunshots can be heard. Unlike the ammo cooking off still, these are a lot closer and can clearly be heard echoing within the halls of the building.

The leader and all the guards turn to the door; their focus now on the door and the rest of the building as it seems the one responsible for the mess already in the compound has made his way into their headquarters. They stay staring at the door for a few seconds before the leader slowly pulls out his own unique and custom sidearm: a gold plated Desert Eagle .50 AE. He aims directly at the door with the other four guards pointing their guns at the door as well, two on each side of him. With it being the only door into the room, whoever is inside the building and killing his men, has to come through the door. He pulls back the hammer on his gun as they prepare themselves and wait for it to open.

With the distant ammo going off in the distance still happening, Moxxie leans in close to Blitzø to whisper to him. "Sir, what do we do? We can't exactly just stay here."

"I'm thinking damnit!" He whisper yells back to Moxxie and sighing. "Just gotta try to loosen these ropes and maybe we can—"

"Sir?" Moxxie interrupts him but he's staring at something else.

"For fucks sake Mox! If you want my answer then don't fucking interrupt me when I'm fucking—!"

"Sir!" Moxxie interrupts him again and gestures with his head in front of him. Just as he does, something lands in front of him. The sound it makes as it lands is covered by the sound of another explosion going off. Right between the Imps and the guards in the room is a tall and menacing figure, but the light shining on him from the fronts casts a dark shadow over the back of him, not allowing the Imps to see who it is.

What he does do though is place down the rifle that belongs to the imps and holds up two pistols, one in each hand, one of which Moxxie immediately recognizes.

*BANG*

*BANG*

Two shots go off simultaneously. The two guards on the far sides of the room fall to the ground with holes on the back of their heads. The other three begin to turn around but the assailant is already moving. He drops both his guns and moves closer to the guard on the right. He sweeps his leg out from under him before sending a fist straight into his face, making the back of his head slam into the ground, a crack sounding out from the hit. The leaders pistol is knocked out the way with the fist flying forward and hitting him right in his diaphragm. He recoils backwards as the air is knocked out of his lungs, curling forward in pain and lack of air as the assailant goes for the third guy. A rapid series of punches assaults the last man, first to the face with the side of his fist as he knocks the AK away. Next several punches hit his chest before ending on his stomach, making him bow forward in pain. He ends the attack with an elbow hit straight to the back of his neck, making the body drop to the ground.

All the guards are dead and the leader is barely able to pull up his gun through the tears in his eyes. Too bad his assailant is already on him. As the gun is swung towards his face, the assailant grabs the back half of the gun with his hand, catching the hammer before it can strike the firing pin.

*Crack*

He breaks the mans arm, eliciting a weak strangled cry from the leader as he still wasn't able to get his breath back. The assailant, still holding onto the gun, uses his other arm and slams his elbow twice into the mans face, breaking his nose and cracking his teeth. The leader groans from the hits as he begins seeing stars. The assailant takes the gun and twists it around, not caring about the tearing of flesh from the broken bones in the arm, before he places the barrel of the gun right to the bottom of the mans chin.

*BANG*

The gunshot goes off, the tight press of the barrel to the mans chin provides just enough of a muffle effect that everyone in the room doesn't get tinnitus for their several days but they still have their ears ring quite painfully. The ceiling and the door of the room gets a nice fresh coat of red blood and brain matter. The eyes in the leader instantly lose their life, the body falling limp in under a second.

When all's said and done, five bodies lay in the interrogation room, with the killer standing tall and the Imps still in their chairs, staring up in awe at their savior.

"Ughhhhhh…"

Except he missed one. The second guard he beat with multiple punches idly groans as she tries to get his barring's. A foot slammed down onto the back of his neck though, making him groan and try to push up but is too weak to do so.

*Crack*

More pressure and one twist of the foot, the neck snaps and the body falls limp once more. The assailant lets out a long drawn out breath before turning around. With the light now on him, it's revealed finally to the Imps who their savior is.

"Meat shield!?" Blitzø shouts in surprise.

"C'mon sir." Moxxie tiredly says to his boss, not really liking the nickname he's given the person who most likely saved their lives.

"Holy crap! Nice moves Ajax!" Millie, still on the ground, compliments the human.

"Nice to see you all are still alive." Ajax jests to them as he takes a deep breath, getting himself composed at the strain of his moves but otherwise okay. He doesn't do it long though before goes over and picks Millie up easily and places her right side up now. "Looks like I made it just in time."

"Boy am I glad to see you." Moxxie says in relief and is happy to see their savior and his wife upright again.

"Yeah yeah, hugs and kisses whatever. What you want a fucking blow job or something? How the fuck did you get here?" Blitzø in his usual pissy state can't but angrily demand why and how the human he just barely hired was able to make it inside a heavily armed and guarded cartel compound.

Ajax goes to speak until the door begins to open. Just as Ajax was about to start cutting the ropes from Millie, he turns around as soon as he heard the handle for the door begins to turn. His knife in hand, he breaks for the door as the guard begins to walk in. He doesn't hear the Spanish the man is speaking, nor the gun he begins to pull up before Ajax already pushes it away. He slices the mans wrist that's holding the trigger. He shouts in pain as he's disabled from shooting the weapon, the knife sharp and was able to go deep enough that he cut all the way to the tendons in one swipe. Ajax throws the gun away as he pulls up his free arm, blocking a wild haymaker before stabbing his knife in the inside of the mans elbow and twists it. The guard recoils as both his arm falls limply and his other wrist is dangling by just the attached flesh.

He doesn't have time to contemplate his next choice though as Ajax steps forward closer to him. He lets out a series of several swipes, a few to the chest and stomach, making the guard reoil back until his back is pressed against the wall. Next he lets one more swipe and cuts the mans neck in almost half, cutting through both arteries with ease and the windpipe, stuffing his throat with blood and preventing him from screaming or calling for more help. Ajax quickly ends him but stabbing his knife upwards, going through the chin and right into the bottom of the mans skull. His eye lids droop with death as Ajax rips the knife out to the side, ending him as the body falls to the ground.

Ajax takes another second to breath before composing himself and walking back to the others. "I'll tell you how I got here AFTER we are somewhere where we won't be interrupted by armed guards." He quickly tells them as he slices Blitzø's bonds off.

"In a minute. Need to check something." The boss Imp states as he looks at the bodies. Ajax just scoffs at him before going to Moxxie and freeing him.

"Thanks." The white haired imp thanks him as he rubs his wrists. He walks over and grabs one of the pistols Ajax dropped earlier. "You took one of my guns?" He says but it comes out more as question as Moxxie rubs dirt off the weapon and checking the magazine then goes for the rifle.

"I was kind of strapped for weapons before I got here. Kind of had to raid your armory. If you can even call it that." Ajax mutters the last part to himself as he recalls the mess a large chunk of the room was in. He goes over and quickly cuts the ropes from Millie. She jumps to her feet and smiles as she rubs her wrists. She stops and then eyes the knife in his hand. He flips it around and grabs the blade before holding the handle to her. "Guessing this is yours?"

She reaches out to grab it but hesitates for a second before pulling her hand back and shaking her hand. "No, go ahead and keep it." She tells him with a smile. "You deserve it after saving our behinds."

Ajax looks slightly surprised at the gesture but smirks and grabs it by the handle again. "Thank you." He sheathes the weapon before pulling out the other knife he had gotten. "But I do believe this is definitely yours."

"Oh sweet!" She happily shouts and takes back her knife. "Thanks hun!" She thanks him and quickly begins checking it, making sure its still good.

"No problem." He smiles back at her, a little happy seeing the joy she has at having her weapon back. He turns back to Moxxie and pulls out the two pistols he snagged from the enemies armory. "Here. I'm not sure who this belongs to."

Moxxie looks away from his pistol and looks at what he's holding. "You found them." He mutters in surprise before grabbing both pistols. He tucks the flintlock under his elbow and looks at the pistol, quickly and expertly checking it to make sure its still working. Ajax keeps a careful eye on him but is surprised and impressed the skills Moxxie is showing as he's examining his gun. Too many times Ajax has seen gun totting blow hards do some of the stupidest things as they handle guns so its nice to see someone who knows what they are doing with it. Once Moxxie is done looking at it and holsters it, he holds it tight and smiles at Ajax. "Thank you." He nods his head at him, in which Ajax returns it. The white-haired imp walks over to his boss and grabs the flintlock. "Sir, Ajax was able to—"

"Yeah yeah thanks appreciate it." Blitzø absentmindedly grabs the flintlock and tucks it into this coat as he holds the head of the leader up, having grabbed it by the hair, what little there is after the round nearly blew the entire top of the skull off the head, and is looking at photo. He looks between the two a few times before smiling. "Alright then! Jobs done. Targets dead, we haven't been fucked in the A and we're all relatively okay."

"Not all of us sir." Moxxie grumbles.

"Sweety I'm fine don't worry about it." Millie tries to brush him as her husband frets over her, examining the spot on her cheek that was hit earlier.

"We'll get some ice for her no worries. You got my phone meat shield?"

"It's Ajax." He grumbles and shakes his head. "And no I didn't. I only found your guns."

"Well fuck all this then!" Blitzø shouts in anger and kicks one of the bodies. "How the fuck are we supposed to call my sweet Loony to get us out of here?"

With his back to Ajax, the boss imp doesn't see the human take out the phone he was provided and speed dial the number already programmed in. "Loona. I got them and the target is down. Time to bring us back to base."

"This ain't the military dude. Fucking chill out. Give me a sec." She shuts off connection before Ajax can say anything else.

Blitzø looks at Ajax weirdly at the call. "Loona provided me a phone in case you didn't have yours."

"Awwww, that's my baby girl." Blitzø proudly states over his daughter. Just after he says that, the portal opens up on one of the walls in the room. Soon enough it opens up and the familiar office room from IMP headquarters can be seen, with an annoyed hellhound tapping her paw on the ground.

She glances at all of them, before looking at the bodies littering the floor of the room they are in. She raises an eyebrow at them before looking back to the others. "So, you guys done?"

"Yep." Blitzø nonchalantly states before walking towards the portal. "Bit of a hiccup there but we got the son of a bitch and now we can get paid… as well as have a discussion about some things." He adds the last part as he glances back to Ajax before stepping through. Ajax stands next to the portal as Moxxie and Millie step on through, with the former helping his wife on through. With one last glance to the door to the room and making sure no one is barging in, he steps into the portal, allowing it to shut and disappear behind him.

And just like that, the residents and employee's of Hell and IMP are back to where they belong. The former captives make their way to the meeting room with Moxxie heading straight for the breakroom.

"Hey." Ajax looks to the side at the tone, staring at Loona she looks at him for a second before huffing and moving to the meeting room, blowing air at a piece of her hair. "… Nice job." She adds with a small side glance back to him and is soon out of sight.

Ajax stares at her as she leaves before he smirks. 'Well, it's progress then.' With that though, he no doubt needs to iron out some details with his new crew in a bit, but first…

"I need to make a call."

Several minutes go by for the small group of Hell residents. The members of IMP sit in their conference room with the different people tending to something or another.

Loona sits down in a chair, idly tapping and scrolling away at her phone but she periodically looks up at the others. She may not speak out loud or make it obvious but she does have a small pang of worry for the others, especially as some of them got hurt somewhat.

Moxxie has the weapons that they all took spread out on the table in front of him, disassembled and ready for him to start the repairing and cleaning process. His focus at the moment however is the ice pack he has ready as he stares at his wife.

Millie is twirling one of her knives in one hand while the other is holding a slight melted bag of ice against the side of her face where she got hit. As soon as she takes it off, Moxxie immediately grabs it and replaces it with a full one. While some would find the heightened worry tiresome and annoying, Millie smiles at her husband and kisses him on the cheek. Moxxie gets a goofy smile on his face at her show of affection. Loona watches what happened and rolls her eyes before making a gagging motion.

Blitzø is at the head of the table as he checks his flintlock from different angles, just passing the time as he lays the top half of his body on the table, a pillow under him. He may not have gotten the stuffing beaten out of him but he still felt a little sore at the punches he did get.

Their last member of their team is not in the room and currently doing something else.

"… El objecto esta abajo… Gracias… Adis. (The target is down. Thank you. Goodbye.)" Ajax's voice can be heard from outside the room followed by the clicking of the room in Blitzø's office. The human makes his way to the conference room and shuts the door behind him as everyone looks at him. "Alright then. I was able to call the client and get some more information about everything." He walks over and stands in front of the board and begins explaining. "The target: as it turns out just so happened to be a ruthless and powerful Columbian drug lord, complete with one of the most remote and successful operations in the country. After prodding him a little, the client DID mention that little fact and the target wouldn't be alone."

All eyes turn to Blitzø, who looks around nervously at the stares, including his daughter who can't believe how stupid he was.

"The client used to be a part of their operation, but apparently one of the guys he worked with tried skimming some of the profits and product for personal use off the top. Their second-in-command decided to execute several of them, including the client, to make sure he got the right guy and to make an example of anyone else thinking of doing the same thing." Ajax sighs as he finishes explaining, crossing his arms as he leans on the wall. "I have to admit, for my first assignment I wasn't expecting things to go this big." He almost chuckles at this.

"Neither were we." Moxxie speaks up. "We don't usually get targets that are that heavily armed." He tiredly says, the whole ordeal, while not heavily painful, was surely quite the tiring experience for them all.

"Thanks again for saving us hon." Millie thanks her savior again.

"Yeah thanks. Speaking of," Blitzø thanks before he begins to speak in a more accusatory tone as he glares at Ajax. "I'd like to know how in the fuck you were able to sneak in to a heavily armed compound, not only go almost completely unspotted, grab most of our equipment, blow up half the place and somehow crawl in get the drop on a room full of armed guards without so much as a scratch on yourself or the three of us?!" He loudly states as he gestures to the couple.

"…" Ajax doesn't say anything, just giving him a nonchalant look. "… You didn't ask."

"… What?" After a second of silence, Blitzø's anger deflates to confusion as he asks.

"You didn't… ask. When you hired me on, you didn't even bother to ask me anything about myself. Not even today when you came into the office. Just walked in, went to your office and proceeded to screw around for the next few hours until you got the call for the new contract. Not once did you even think to interview me on my background, my skills, education, anything at all. If you had, then I would have told you everything that you needed to know." And just like that Ajax explains to him the simplest answer of why his skills came as much of a surprise to them: they simply never asked.

Blitzø proceeds to clasp his hands together and take a deep breath. "… Okay… soooooo—"

"How are you so good?" Moxxie interrupts him, a look of curiosity on his face from what little he's seen of Ajax's skills.

"How'd you learn to handle a blade like that?! You were so fast and deadly!" Millie adds, a small devilish smile on her face as she remembers how quick and fast Ajax was when he nearly sliced that last guard to ribbons with one knife.

"What did you mean by 'in a profession where men usually die young'?" Loona adds in her own question. This gets a confused look from the others as they never heard him say anything like that. Regardless of that they still turn to the main subject of their questions and wait with rapt attention of him to begin answering.

Ajax steps forward and stands next to the chair Blitzø is occupying. If he's going to explain what he's done, then its best he be at the center and close to them. He gestures to the chair. Blitzø lets out a frustrated loud sigh and gets up before heading to the side and sitting next to Loona, much to her chagrin if her low growl is anything to indicate. With the chair open now, Ajax takes his seat at the head of the table. Just like before, everyone has their attention set on the human. With one final deep sigh, he clasps his hands together and begins:

"My name is Ajax Rourke. I am sixty years old. I have no idea where or who my parents are. I'm an orphan and the first opportunity out of school I enlisted in the US military. From there my life was a constant mess of fight after fight, battle after battle… war after war… atrocity after actrocity. Being here in Hell most of you probably don't know anything about it." He surmises and he's right, considering the aloof looks on their faces. He lets out a hum and continues, "Regardless its where I was thrown right into the fires of combat, fights and so forth. War was my resume and battles were my experience. I've had to deal with many different types of combat scenarios, from small skirmish engagements, to long drawn out battles where I was either pinned down, or I had to stay deep in enemy territory for days on end. No allies, no friends, no backup. Just me, my wits, and anything and everything I could possibly do to survive in whatever hostile location I was sent into or find myself in. I started out as your average recruit when I joined the military but due to my ability to excel in combat and war, I was quickly picked up and slotted for special forces, where I became a true force to be reckoned with." He leans back in the chair and gets a small far-off look. "A one-man army."

The other employee's of IMP all glance to one another, not sure exactly how to take in the information he gave—

"After some of my deployments," he continues talking, regaining their attention. "I tried to go back to civilian life but it quickly became too mundane for my liking." He sighs and leans forward. "Because of my skills, I was tasked multiple times to be a covert agent, a silent assassin meant to either take out my targets, gather intel and information, or move amongst the enemy without them ever knowing I was there to begin with. Most of it all happening behind the scenes with little to almost no open combat to speak of. It's because of that I was able to learn to remain unseen while looking for every piece of information and tell who was my enemy or not."

He leans back and sighs as he begins to remember his more recent military exploits. "I continued to stay in the military for years after, including when I took part in the Afghanistan war, where you have no idea of the enemy. Where you don't know if the regular man or woman is actually an insurgent waiting to activate a bomb they have strapped to themselves and take you and your fellow soldiers with them… or if the child walking to you holding something is a ticking timebomb." He says the last part in tired, sad resignation. All his years and all his time has put a toll on him. He was scarily good at his job, able to do more than almost any other soldier he's met in all his years of service. Most would have cracked, most would have crumbled, most would have lost their minds to everything he's done.

Not him.

While he may still be haunted by many of his actions, he can still get sleep at night, even if he does see their faces every now and again.

He shakes his head and gives them all a hard look. "My point being, is that I am not a pushover. I am not just some meat shield. I have proven for years that am one of the most effective killing machines you will ever meet in the human world. If you need me to find, track and kill a person, I can do that. You need me to press someone for information without care how I do it, I can do that. Don't you dare think I'm some pushover when I have close to, or quite possibly an even higher body count than all of you."

And just like that he finishes talking. Not the complete history or retelling of his life but pretty damn close to it. He takes the time to take some deep breaths due to the long winded explanation but to also calm himself down from the trip down memory lane. After flexing his fingers a little, he looks around at the different people at the table and their reactions.

Moxxie and Millie look at him in wonder, no doubt surprised by the impressive resume that their new fellow employee has.

Loona has a sort of intrigued look on her face, a small smirk as she looks at him before pushing a strand of hair from her face and goes back to looking at her phone.

Blitzø has almost an annoyed look on his face before he sighs and leans forward. "Well alright then. It turns out that the regular human pleb we thought got lucky is in fact a very deadly and very dangerous spec ops soldier, right?" He asks out loud. Ajax simply shrugs and nods his head at the summary. "Well, shit. Wasn't exactly expecting to hire some of your caliber to be here but I won't say no to someone who I know won't shoot his dick off first chance he gets." Blitzø steps up and walks over to Ajax. The human stands up as the head honcho Imp extends a hand. "Pleased to make your acquaintance soldier."

Ajax smiles and takes the hand into his own in shake. "Good to be here." It's been a long time since the grizzled old soldier has been able to find some purpose again. To be employed and doing what he does best without any hold backs… that's something he can get behind.

"Good to have you on the team Jaxie!"

And just like that his mood sours a little. "Ajax."

"Jackie whatever." Blitzø nonchalantly and outright doesn't care to correct himself say and plops himself back onto his seat. Ajax rolls his eyes and heads over to the seat that the boss was just occupying before.

"I have to admit, sir. Your taking this rather well considering what happened and this new development." Moxxie points to his boss is pretty much relaxing and chilling in his chair.

"Yeah well… I can be a dick but I'm not stupid to thank a person who legitimately saved our lives so I can at least give the guy a break." Blitzø replies with a nondescript shrug. He even has his hands lying behind his head as he leans back a little. Moxxie smiles at little at his bosses attitude, glad to see him appreciating the work one of their own did in the face of such very low odds and maybe they can— "Alright now that we're back and everyone is good, anything on the agenda we need to address? I'm thinking some new curtains in this shindig would really spruce up the place." Blitzø states with a grin as he waves to the windows near them.

"Sir, we can't…!" Ajax stops listening as Moxxie tries to loudly dissuade their boss from frugal spending of their limited cash. Instead he's thinking on some other options and ideas that could help out the company.

The haphazardly thrown about poor excuse of an armory they have is already giving him some ideas for improvements. His memories back in the military start to crop up again, this time on the sheer amount of weapons he's seen where's stationed, and even on some assignments where he and his squads found giant treasure troves of weapons and stockpiled munitions.

"Actually," He begins to say, which stops the fighting in place as somehow Moxxie is on top of Blitzø, his arm between Moxxie's teeth and the boss imp pulling on Moxxie's white hair. Even Loona was recording what was happening on her phone. "I think I have some ideas that can help."

Well, for his first job with the company its safe to say that was quite the adventure for him and pretty much all who were involved. Its going to be quite something for him being with his new job and all that but at least he was able to show them his exact skills. Well, not show him exactly but show that he was able to get in and save their asses when they were in dire need of saving.

On another topic, been noticing a fair bit of weather problems amassing in the US and my area has been getting some storms and intense winds. No damage or danger but I hope everyone who's dealing with rough weather as of late finds safe tidings on the horizons coming over.

Pyrojack25: Oh yes, quite the assassination group he's a part of.

You would be correct. Honestly I couldn't come up with anything good or that I liked with the cannibal family and Mayberry so just opted to skip. Good catch with the fish tank.

He's got more to learn with the group that's for sure.

Marbled Gold: We shall see. Thank you very much, I'm glad I was able to do our favorite imps personalities justice. Honestly it was surprisingly easy with Blitzø and was fun with the others too.

Guest: We shall see how things go. With the progress Helluva Boss is going, plenty of time to work out how things go and fit into the story.

Boss Teal: Yep, it is a new chapter. Hehe.

Thunderbasilisk: Fun times for sure without a doubt. I'm sorry to say but the Mayberry job isn't going to happen. If you would have noticed the empty fish tank was a clue. Couldn't come up with anything good or would have fit well with that episode, sorry. But plenty more good stuff ahead I assure you.

ReadingBeta: Considering the amount of destruction and lack of care, mostly Blitzø, that go through, what's the harm in having an extra gun or pair of hands that is tough and doesn't take crap. And as for the sex, just have to see how things go for him and the others.

Guest: Just wait and see if theirs going to be a harem or not. Series still developing and so is this story.

Noble6117: And you shall have more. Count on it.

Dingo: Well Loona is pretty much the most popular choice when it comes to pairings for the show. Won't spoil or anything but we'll see how things develop as the story does.

And that's pretty much all she wrote. Stories coming along nicely and this was a fun chapter to write. Feels good to cut loose in a way and can safely say that more future kills in the story can most likely be quite graphic and quite violent. This is gonna be fun and I hope you all enjoy this.

Thank you all for your continued support. Go ahead and fave, follow, review, whatever you wish. Hope you all have fun reading, but most of all, have a great day each and every one of you.
