On a desk, five files were sitting on it; they were files of Jaime, Kaede, Tula, Flash and Cyandog.
A-Bomb and Ava were staring at the files, while Nick Fury was standing at the other side of the desk, with a calculating look, as Washington and Centorea were standing beside him.
Just recently, A-Bomb figures out that one of their own is a mole for Taskmaster and is Red X, after telling Ava, Kaikaina and Metabee, A-Bomb and Ava knew they had to alert Fury about this.
"Well, this is serious..." Nick said, as he was processing all of this information,
"If there is a mole, that would explain how Taskmaster knew where the Red X suit was being kept, and how he sent a message drone to the SHED, without alerting the alarms." Centorea said, figuring out how Black Velocity knew where to find the Red X suit and how Taskmaster managed to send a drone to the team when he kidnapped Alice.
Ava shook her head, looking sadden a bit, "It's just too hard to stomach, someone we took in and welcomed in our place we call home, is a traitor..." She said, betrayed.
Nick then looked at A-Bomb, "It's your team, Rick; how do you want to approach this?" He asked, as he lets A-Bomb decide how to handle the matter,
A-Bomb crosses his arms, as he thinks about it, they had to be smart about this, Red X revealed himself on purpose to cause confused and stir a friction within S.P.D., they couldn't just tell Jaime, Kaede, Tula, Flash and Cyandog that there was a traitor among them, for the moment this had to stay between A-Bomb, Ava and everyone in Fury's office.
A-Bomb looked at Fury, Wash and Centorea with a confident, "We keep this quiet, Ava and I'll do some investigating, try and narrow it down to who it might be." A-Bomb explained to them,
Nick nodded, "Just keep me posted." He told them,
A-Bomb and Ava then walked out of the office, now outside, the two of them started walking down the hallway, and Ava looked at A-Bomb,
"So, where do we start?" Ava asked, wondering how they were going to smoke out the traitor.
A-Bomb turned to look at her, "We start off slow, looking at where everyone was during the whole fight back in Manila." A-Bomb tells Ava how they'll approach it.
Ava had a concerned look, as she looked at A-Bomb, "Uh, Rick, do you wanna... talk about... y'know... your mom and... Kyoya..?" She awkwardly asked, offering to talk with him, as she knew that A-Bomb had to be in a bad place with Reese and his brother, Kyoya.
"No." A-Bomb told her, plain and simple, with a serious look, as he walks ahead, wanting to focus on snuffing out Red X and didn't want to think about what happened with his mother or Kyoya.
Ava stops walking as she watches A-Bomb; she worried how his situation for him has affected him in a bad way.
Meanwhile, far in Japan, at Mount Hotakadake, snow was falling from the sky, walking across a trail, both wearing heavy mountain coats, was Randy and Julie,
As Julie was out of her normal clothes and wearing mountaineering pants and a base layer long sleeve shirt under her coat,
Randy walked ahead, while Julie followed, as they two of them were searching the mountains for the ninja who Dororo said can train Randy.
Back at the Triskelion Island, in the building, A-Bomb, Kaikaina, Metabee and Ava were sitting around the table, in the conference room,
Metabee looked at A-Bomb, with a curious look in his eyes, "So what do we've have, Rick?" He asked A-Bomb,
"There's a traitor, a traitor that goes by the name of Red X, we have suspects who may be the mole." A-Bomb tells him,
"But we've already excluded Jaime and Flash, as they've been under watchful eye in the med-bay... Dr. Grey can vouch for that..." Ava mentioned, with a bit of an uncomfortable face.
But then, the sound of crashing came from outside the room, which made Kaikaina, Ava, Metabee and A-Bomb all turned to look at the opened door, where they see, running down the hallway, was Flash and Jaime, both in the hospital gowns, as they both ran with terror on their faces, they stopped at the doorway, before both turning around to look behind and quickly turned back around and kept running as fast as they could, as they were being chased.
And to whom was chasing the two? It was Dr. Grey, as she had a blowgun that had tranquilizer darts, in her right hand, as she stops at the doorway as well, looking at the fleeing Jaime and Flash.
"RUNNING ONLY MAKES ME WANT YOU MORE!" Dr. Grey yelled out at them, in a overly happy tone, as she loads a dart in the blowgun and kept running after Jaime and Flash.
Kaikaina, Ava, A-Bomb and Metabee all were Blank White Eyed with speechless expression, after what they just saw, Dr. Grey chasing Flash and Jaime as if they were elk and she, a starving coyote.
The thought of if Dr. Grey is a certified doctor grows more and more apparent each time she goes a little 'Dr. Moreau' crazy...
"Moooving on..." Ava said, awkwardly, breaking the silence, as everyone's eyes goes back to normal.
"Cyandog is excluded too, due to his smaller size and lack for combat skill." A-Bomb tells them,
"So, that just leaves Tula and Kaede," Kaikaina mentions, as A-Bomb nodded,
Metabee leans in, with a less than convinced look, "This is crazy, why should we believe there's a traitor, Red X might've just said it to mess with our heads, make us paranoid enough to attack each other and destroy S.P.D. from the inside." He theorized, thinking that the whole 'Traitor' thing is just a ploy from Red X to distrust each other and stir chaos within the team.
Ava turned to look at Metabee with a straight face, "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, either way we can't just ignore the fact, there's nowhere Red X and the Vanguards could've found which country Dr. Reese was at, she kept it airtight from the public, there's no way they could have found it, even with help from Taskmaster." She explained, pointing that fact out, and making it clear they need to investigate before something bad happens.
"Ava and I will talk with Tula and Kaede, get their sides of the story, but remember this whole thing stays in this room and between all of us." A-Bomb tells Kaikaina and Metabee, to keep this between them.
As Kaikaina and Metabee both nodded as they understood, before they got off the seats and walked out of the room, leaving A-Bomb and Ava there.
Ava turned to look at A-Bomb, noticing he had a bit of a hesitant look, which grabs her attention, "Rick... You OK?" She asked, wondering what was wrong.
A-Bomb sighs as he leans back on his chair, "We're going to interrogate two of our own on if either of them is a traitor, it's just gonna take me a minute to think of what to say to them." A-Bomb said, with a somber look.
Ava looked at him with a half-smirk, "I bet that Randy and Julie are having much better luck without having to worry about this.. (!)" She joked a bit,
Meanwhile, hours later, at Mount Hotakadake, it was the middle of night, as there was a blizzard stirring, as the wind and snow was howling.
Inside a cave in the mountain, a tent was pitched up; inside it were Randy and Julie, as they were out of their winter clothing and in separate sleeping bags, as a lantern was lit between them.
Randy and Julie has been through the mountains and back, looking for the temple all day and didn't find anything, and just when night fall, a freak blizzard rolled in from out of nowhere, Julie and Randy was get lucky enough to find a cave where they can rest and wait for the blizzard to die.
Randy just laid on the ground, looking frustrated that they didn't find anything, while Julie was sat up, as she had a map of the mountains sitting on her lap, as she was looking through the chart, trying to figure out where the temple would likely be.
"I think we might find a path somewhere over here, we'll check that area tomorrow." Julie tells Randy, as she points her right index finger at the area of mountains on the map.
But Randy kept quiet, as he just stared at the roof of the tent, with a look of intensity, which made Julie turn to look at him and see how serious he looked, she only rolled her eyes.
"Randy, we've only been looking for three days, not three years; you just can't expect to find it overnight." Julie said to Randy, not wanting him to mope for the whole night.
Randy sighs, as he knew Julie was right, and he could be short with her, especially when she wanted to come with him to help him look for the temple, he should be more considerate, as Randy sits up and turned to look at Julie, with an apologetic on his face.
"I'm sorry, Jule, I just can't stop thinkin' about what Red X told me, about being a weakest opponent he's ever gone up against, it just makes me think about how I haven't gotten any stronger, sure there was some areas that I've improved on but not for the overall, not enough to match up against Red X and especially Taskmaster..." Randy explained to Julie, with an emotionally deep expression on his face.
Julie's face then turned to a sympathetic look,
"... If this guy that Master Dororo said is as legit as he said, that he could help me to get stronger, show me how to do that... Move..." Randy finished, with hope in his voice,
Julie tiled her head to the right a bit, in confusion, in what he meant by 'Move', "What move?" She asked Randy,
Randy then turned to look at her, as he shuffles around a bit to remove his sleeping bag, as he takes out his right leg and pulls up the leg of his pajama pants, revealing his leg as it was wrapped up in bandages.
"When I went up against Scorpion in Taskmaster's underwater lair, I was angry but I felt like I channeled all of it into my right leg, I can't explain it, but all that anger just suddenly disappeared and my leg was burning as bright and more hotter than any part of my body, and when I landed a hit on Scorpion, I felt it's blow, the raw strength of it, I never felt such power before, but when I used it again against Red X, I ended up hurting myself..." Randy explained more, as Julie listens to every word.
"... And that's way I have to find this guy, if he can help me learn about that move and master it, then it'll be a stepping stone in learning more about what the Ninja Mask and myself are really capable of..." Randy finished,
Julie had never seen Randy be so profound with his journey for self-discovery and a wanting to learn more about his power and further himself beyond his limits.
Randy then looked at Julie, with a curious look, "So, don't mind me askin' but why did you wanna come with me?" He asked, wondering why Julie was so insistent on coming with Randy on this quest.
Julie then had a hesitant look, with being asked that, "Uh... You know... You're hurt and it would be crazy if you tried to trek through these mountains on your own..." She said on the spot, with an awkward smile and had her eyes closed.
But Randy was unconvinced that was the reason, she wasn't telling him something,
Julie then opens her eyes and sees Randy, who gave her a unconvinced look, her awkward smile disappears, as she knew that she shouldn't keep anything from Randy, especially since he just poured his feeling.
Julie sighed as she turned her head away, as she closed her eyes. "Randy, if I tell you, you have to promise not to tell anyone, not even the guys." She told him; wanting him to make sure what she tells him stays between them.
Randy looked surprised, as this had to be something if it made Julie wary and keep it a secret from Kaikaina, Metabee, Ava and A-Bomb.
Randy nodded his head, "I promise." He tells her, honoring her secret,
Julie opens her eyes and turned to look back at Randy, with a look of grief and great sadden. "Remember a few days ago, when we went up against N. Tropy?" She asked, if he remembers.
Randy nodded, "Uh... Yeah, Ava told me that you and N. Tropy went through a time portal, you were gone for about three seconds." Randy retells the fight S.P.D. had against N. Tropy.
Julie bends her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. "That portal sent me 30 years into the future, where Jump City was an abandoned city filled with criminals and scum, and where S.H.I.E.L.D. was no more and S.P.D. was broken up... And Rick was dead..." Julie reveals, mournful,
Randy looked shocked at this, 30 years... and the way Julie describe it being a place of despair and grit, and what Julie saw, S.P.D. disbanded and A-Bomb being dead... He couldn't imagine what she saw.
Julie kept that look of grief, "... I called in the team, but you all were so bitter and hate filled towards each other, like you were enemies... And how you looked, each of you looked like you spend the last 30 years fighting in war, and when we fought N. Tropy... I... I watched as each of you were killed..." She continued telling everything,
Randy was now utterly speechless on what she said, an alternate future where they die,
"After that... I felt so... Powerless... Like if I had been stronger, I would have saved them... Saved you..." Julie said, wrapping her legs tighter, as she's forced to go back to that moment.
"But it was an alternate future, a what-if, there's no way that a future like that will happen, me, Av, Kai, Bee and Rick, we're all still here." Randy tells Julie, trying to comfort her, as he puts on a gentle smile and puts his right hand on Julie's left shoulder.
But Julie shakes his hand off, before turned to face him, releasing her legs, as she had a frustrated look, "YOU WEREN'T THERE! YOU DIDN'T WITNESS YOUR FRIENDS DIE AROUND YOU WHILE YOU COULDN'T DO ANYTHING!" She yelled out at him, in fury, which made Randy flinch back a bit.
Julie was pacing heavily, with an angered expression, until she calms down and steadies her breathing, and now had a calm expression, "Randy... I'm sorry; I didn't mean to snap..." She apologized,
Randy stares at Julie, not saying anything as he figured that it would be best if Julie vents.
"(Sigh) It's not about how I don't want to remember that future, it's about how I have to remember... So what happened to you guys in that future never happens..." Julie tells him, with a somber look.
Randy has never seen Julie like this, she truly must have seen enough in that future. "Julie, I don't know what the future is gonna hold for S.P.D., and I won't sugar-coat the fact that what we do is a dangerous job. But wanting to focus all your energy into trying to prevent a future that'll never happen is just gonna drive you nuts, I don't know if it'll make you ease a bit, but I think that the way to ensure a better future is focusing on the Now, and always remember that no matter what the future is gonna bring, we'll sort through it..." Randy tells Julie, with a gentle smile on his face, as he reached his right hand over to Julie's left shoulder and looks right at her.
Julie stared at Randy, before she began to smile as what Randy said managed to help her a lot, as she looked at him, as she jumps forward and gives Randy a hug, as he was caught off-guard by the hug, but puts his hands around Julie and hugs her back.
Julie had her eyes closed and smiled brightly, "Thanks, Randy..." She thanked him, as what he said was something she needed to hear.
"Hey, just call me 'Dr. Cunningham'..(!)" Randy joked, "... And if there's times where you want to talk about anything that's bothering you, my doors always opened for you, Jule." He tells Julie,
Julie and Randy breaks their hug and the two friends looked at each other, before Randy gave Julie and serious look.
"Now, Julie, I need you to be 100% serious with me when I ask you... Forty year old me... Was I still handsome?" Randy asked, desperately wanting to know if he gonna retain his good looks after thirty years.
Julie couldn't help but laugh a bit that Randy really wanted to ask about if his looks didn't go all wrinkly and lose all his hair.
Julie then gave Randy a straight face, "You looked well for a forty year old, but you were blind and you shaved your head..." She tells him,
"But I'm still sexy, right? No part of my face was saggy or layer-e..." Randy asked, now really wanting to know,
But Julie laughed some more,
A day passed, it was the morning, at the Triskelion's island, inside the SHED, in the living room area, Tula was sitting on the couch, as Ava was sitting on the coffee table in-front of her, while A-Bomb was standing next to her, as the two of them looked at Tula.
While Tula looked confused on what they wanted to talk to her about, but A-Bomb and Ava was going to hear Tula's side of the story and see if she's Red X.
Tula looked at Ava, "So, this there a problem?" She asked them,
Ava gave Tula a gentle look, "No, Tula, there's no problem; we just need to ask you about where you were during the 'Kyoya' thing?" Ava asked her with a soft tone,
Tula was more confused, why would they need to know where she was during that, "Cyandog and I went shopping for dinner for that night, we were there for a three hours, and when we were finished we went back home." Tula explained to them, detailing what she did.
A-Bomb raised his right eyebrow, "And what time did you two went out?" He asked Tula,
Tula tried to remember what time her and Cyandog left, "I think it was in the afternoon, around 1:21 PM." She tells them,
A-Bomb and Ava then took what she said and both thought deeply about the time-zones, in Manila, A-Bomb and Ninja fought the Vanguards at 4:11 PM, it would be around 3:00 AM in the morning in Jump City, it would have taken Tula 16 hours to get from Jump City to Manila, even with a Quinjet, there no way she could make it to Manila.
Tula has Cyandog to vouch for her, so it was clear that Tula isn't the traitor.
Ava and A-Bomb then smiled at Tula gently, as Ava stands up, "That's all we need to know, thanks, Tula." A-Bomb said to her,
Tula smiled as she nodded, as she gets up and walks off, leaving A-Bomb and Ava there, as the two turned to look at each other, as their smiles disappears, Tula was clear and all there was left was Kaede.
Back at Mount Hotakadake, Randy and Julie were in the winter gear and walking up a path, as they reached a mountain face, and stops to look at it.
Julie and Randy looked confused that the path would just lead them to a dead-end, but Randy just got more annoyed and frustrated, as he takes a step closer towards the wall.
"Another dead-end... why does this path just lead to a dead-end, what's the point of it, is the Universe punkin' me!" Randy snapped in frustration, as Julie walks over to him and puts her left hand on his right shoulder, with a calm look, as she tried to calm him down.
"We'll just keep looking, I'm sure it's around here." Julie tells him, as she removes her hand from him.
Randy sighs as he moves closer to the wall and closed his eyes, "I'm starting to think this whole 'Ninja God' and 'Hidden Ninja Temple' thing was just somethin' a crazy old ninja..." Randy said, depressed as he turned around and faced his back at the wall.
Julie looked worried that Randy was now starting to think about giving up, even though she's halfhearted on believing in this mysterious ninja, but if Randy just gives up, his hope for getting stronger and uncovering how to use that technique with his leg will be all for naught.
Randy sighs as he leans his back over to the wall, but Randy actually falls through the wall, opening his eyes in surprise as he phased through it, completely disappearing.
Julie looked shocked at what she saw and quickly moves over to the wall and observes it, to see what just happened,
"Randy?" Julie said, as she looked at the wall,
But then, Randy's head comes out of the wall, in-front of Julie, making her flinch, as he had an amazed expression, while looking at her.
"You've gotta check this out..." Randy tells Julie, as he pulls his head back through the wall.
Julie stood there, blankly and confused, until she slowly lifts up her left hand and reaches it towards the wall and when it reached the wall, her hand went through it, as if it wasn't there, Julie quickly figures out that the wall was some kind of illusion.
Julie then walks through the illusion, entering a large and long hallway, as Randy was looking at it with amazement, Julie walks over to Randy, as he then turns to look at her.
"OK... Forget I said anything..." Randy tells Julie, wanting her to strike his comment from before from a record, even though striking a comment from the record is for court.
Randy and Julie turned to look at the hallway, as the two had found the hidden temple.
Back at the Triskelion's island, inside the building, in the training room,
Kaede, in her ninja gi, was doing some training, as she was running around the training room, as small drones were flying after her, firing small, non-lethal blasts, Kaede were straying side to side, dodging the blasts, Kaede then jumps upward, performing spins and flips, evading all of the blaster fire mid-air, before she lands and kept running, as she sprints towards a wall, once she reaches it, she jumps on it and pushes herself off it, towards the drones, as she tosses a wave of kunais at them, each one of them hits and destroys all of them.
Kaede lands on the floor, while the destroyed drones fell to the ground, Kaede stood there as she turned as she opens her left eye and sees A-Bomb and Ava walking towards her.
"46 drones today, nicely done, K." A-Bomb tells Kaede, with a gentle smile,
Kaede smiled back at him, "Thanks," She said, appreciate the complement.
Ava kept a straight face, as she crossed her arms, "Kaede, we need to ask you where you were during the time A-Bomb and Randy were gone, a few days ago?" She asked her,
Kaede closed her left eye and had a straight face as well, "I'm going to save you both some time, I know that there's a traitor among us, a traitor who is Red X, and you're interrogating everyone to flush out who it maybe, no, I am not Red X or a traitor." Kaede explained to them, calmly.
A-Bomb and Ava were surprised that Kaede knew there was a traitor,
"You know?!" A-Bomb said, speechless that Kaede knew,
Kaede then opens her right eye, giving to the two of them a small smirk, "You really think I spend my time seeing what's on TV? I like to be in the loop when there's some real blacklist stuff comes around, besides I'm a ninja, we know sneakiness when we see it." Kaede tells them,
Ava then scowls at Kaede, with this information of Kaede spying on they're more high-grade conversation with Fury, only made the likelihood of her being Red X more probable.
Ava steps closer to Kaede, with a dead serious scowl, "With what you just said, you really haven't help your case on wither or not you're the traitor, if not, you only shifted more suspicion on yourself, so I strongly suggest you tell us where you were during the time Rick and Randy were gone." She told Kaede, demanding she tells them her alibi.
Kaede then opens both her eyes, with her smile still on her mouth, as she looked at Ava, "I was undergoing some espionage, I went over to Wildcat's Gym and it was there I learned about something... Your greatest weakness, Ava..." She told Ava, calmly and confidently.
Ava scowls even more, as she wasn't fazed by what Kaede said, while A-Bomb looked shocked, Kaede searched for Ava's greatest weakness on purpose, to use against her, was Kaede really Red X? But what really got A-Bomb's attention was the fact that Kaede learned that Ava has a great weakness.
What was her greatest weakness? Ava's has always been resilient with anything that came her way, but if there was a weakness that could harm Ava, a potential spy for Taskmaster with that information could be dangerous for Ava.
Ava kept scowling at Kaede, as she was not afraid of what Kaede had, if it was a weakness, she wasn't going let it intimidate her.
Kaede then slowly lifted her left arm u and her hand went into her gi, "I learned that your greatest weakness is..." She said, as Ava narrowed her eyes at her, still unfazed or scared.
But then, Kaede quickly pulls her hand out of her gi, and held up her hand, and in her hand was a small, SD Gundam model, or more direct; an Zaku II SD Gunpal (Char's Zaku II).
"... That you love SD Gundams, like this SD Zaku!" Kaede told Ava with a bright smile, as she held up the SD Zaku,
The millisecond Ava saw the SD Zaku, her serious scowl immediately disappears and changed into a surprised look of ecstasy as her mouth was opened into a wide smile, as there was a little love heart on her tongue, her eyes were widen and her nose was gone.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Ava squeals in overwhelming excitement, as she looks at the SD Gunpal.
Ava then moves forward and starts flailing her arms at SD Zaku, but Kaede quickly moves her hand away from her, while Kaede smiled with amusement.
"You've beaten me in our last four sparring matches this month..." Kaede said, as she quickly moves her hand away from Ava's hands, as she kept flailing arms, trying to grab the Gunpla, while she kept squealing in total affection and excitement. "... So I decided to study my opponent by getting information..." Moves her hand again, "... So I asked Wildcat what you had for a weakness and he told me that you love SD Gundams..." Moves her hand again, "... I then went to a model shop and bought some SD Gunplas..." Moves her hand again, "... I still have the receipt, you can check the date and you'll see that I bought them on the same day that Rick and Randy were gone..." Moves her hand for the final time, "... Now do you believe that I'm not Red X (?)" Kaede asked Ava,
Ava kept flailing her arms to grab the SD Gunpla, "Sure! Fine! Whatever! JUST GIMME THE ZAKU! O-HOHOO!" Ava yelled out in excitement, as she forgets about the whole Red X traitor thing and really wanting Kaede to give her that SD Zaku.
A-Bomb just stood there, completely speechless, as he just watched as Ava Ayala, one of the most hard-core person A-Bomb has met, just went from awesome, hard-cord heroine, to six year old girl, getting her first two hamsters from her parents.
Kaede gave Ava the Gunpla, and Ava was now on the floor, with the SD Zaku in her hands, as they were up to her face, as she was cuddling it against it, with a bright smiling face, and had her eyes closed.
"SOOOO... CUTE..!" Ava squealed with glee, as she cuddles the SD Zaku against her cheek, while shifting her body a bit.
Kaede then reached both hands into her gi, "I also have a SD RX 77-2 Guncannon..." She pulls out that Gunpla out of her gi, and held it in her right hand, "... And a SD Zeta Gundam." She pulls the Gunpla out for her gi and held it in her left hand.
A-Bomb then slides in from behind her, looking at her with a confused expression, "What are you, an magician? How many of those things do you have?" He asked, wondering how many SD Gunplas did she buy?
Ava got her hands on the SD Guncannon and Zeta and was now in a sudden spin chair that just suddenly appeared from out of nowhere, as she spun around, laughing like a school girl, as she hugged the SD Zaku, SD Guncannon and SD Zeta up to her chest, with her kicking her legs.
Kaede and A-Bomb watched her, as Kaede had her left eye closed and still had the amused smile on her face, while A-Bomb still had his speechless expression, still processing that Ava's greatest weakness is SD Gundams.
Kaede turned to look at A-Bomb, "I'd say that I've proved my innocence." Kaede told him, with a smile, as she closed her left eye.
A-Bomb looked at her with a apologetic look, before his face changed to a look of deep thought, with Kaede cleared, that means the traitor isn't within S.P.D., so they are from outside of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Meanwhile back at the mountains, within of them, walking down the long hallway, Randy and Julie kept going.
Randy had a look of determination, while Julie looked at the hallway with amazement, as there were flaming torches on both sides of the walls, they were all lit and they lead towards a large door.
The two of them reached the doors, they saw that there was a face of a Komainu (Lion-Dog) in the center of it, Randy and Julie turned to look at each other, and both nodded as he and Julie moves over to both doors and pushes them open, once opened Julie and Randy sees the room on the other side.
The two enter the room and inside, there was a mist floating on the ground, around their feet, there were stands that were holding lit candles and a gong and in the center of the room, sitting on top of a table, was a large blue urn.
Randy and Julie looked around to see if there was anyone, but the room was empty, they were the only ones in it.
Julie turned to look at Randy, with confusion on her face, "Now what?" She asked him, they found the temple but where's the master?
'Who's out there?' A sudden voice called out, which made Julie and Randy jump in shock,
Mysterious Voice: I want answerrrrrrrs!
Randy and Julie looked around to find where the voice was coming from,
"Um, we're looking for the master of this temple..." Randy said awkwardly, as he and Julie slowly walked across the room.
'Never heard of him,' The voice told them,
Mysterious Voice: Go away please!
The voice telling them to leave,
Julie then noticed that the voice was getting loaded the closer they get to the urn, Julie turned to look at Randy, signalling him to kept the voice talking, as she quietly walked over to the urn.
Randy then tried to think of something to tell him, to make him keep talking, "It's... Uh... Really important... Umm... Only the great and wise master of this temple can help us..." Randy said, with an awkward expression, as Julie moves over to the urn and aimed his left ear near the urn.
'Great and wise, eh? Maybe I do know him. HA-ha-ha...' The voice laughed, as Julie quickly turned to look at Randy, pointing her left index finger at the urn, as the voice was coming from it.
Randy quickly moves over to Julie, where he puts both hands on the neck of the urn and tips it over to him.
'Whoa, hey!' The voice barked in shock,
Randy tilts the urn enough where he and Julie looked in it, inside the urn, was a small being who was wearing a full body armor, that was blue with a gold collar and shoulder guards, and there was an 'N' in a circle in the chest of it, the being was wearing a helmet, with a smaller 'N' in a circle in the forehead within a gold curved V, and had a sharp black visor, and had a katana in a blue scabbard, strapped on his back.
The stranger looked at Julie and Randy through the opening, and pointing his right finger at them, "Get out I say and leave me in peace!" He told them, now really wanting them to leave.
Randy wasn't scared, and just looked at him with a bewilded look, "Why don't you come out of your little hiding spot and tell us where we can find the master of this temple." He told him, wanting to know,
"Why ye snippety upstart! You happen to be looking at him, I am the great Ninjor!" The being introduced himself; as he spoke in a voice that rivals Marvin the Martian and Dudley Do-Right.
Randy and Julie were surprised that this person, who's actually called 'Ninjor', is the master of this temple and is the ninja Dororo sent Randy to find.
Julie had an small smirk as she chuckled a bit at Ninjor's small size, "That little pipsqueak is the ninja Master Dororo wanted you to look for?" Julie said, not impressed by Ninjor.
"What a rude little girl you are, I guess there'll be no getting rid of you til' I come out, stand clear!" Ninjor told them, as he puts him hands together into a ninja hand sign as he transforms into a streak of light and blasts out of the urn,
Which made Randy and Julie quickly step back in surprise, as the streak travels across the room before it reached the center of room and transforms back into Ninjor, now in a more average size for an adult.
Ninjor looked at the two, holding both hands together, as Randy and Julie stared at him with widen eyes, "Now whataya want? And make it quick, you've got five seconds." He told them, with an annoyed tone of voice.
Julie then nudges Randy forward, signalling him to talk, as he steps forward, with confidence on his face. "I'm Randy Cunningham, I am the Ninja, me and my friend has gone through these mountains to find you, and now that we have, I seek you to train me to master the power of the Ninja Mask and help me get stronger." Randy spoke with a seriousness and dignity that have rarely by heard and seen before.
Julie smiled as what he said was extremely profound,
"Times up, lovely story, don't the door hit you on the way out." Ninjor told Randy and Julie rudely as everything Randy just said didn't sway him in the slightest.
Randy and Julie turned SD, with blank expression, processing what Ninjor just said, basically just saying no to what Randy was asking.
"Uhh... What..?" SD Randy asked, confused,
Julie goes back to normal, as she steps forward, looking at Ninjor with a slightly serious look, "Wait, didn't you listen, he's the Ninja." She tells Ninjor,
"Which means... What?" Ninjor replied, acting so uncaring on the subject or with Randy being the Ninja, as he turned around.
Randy snaps out of it and goes back to normal, and looked at Ninjor, with a serious look, "Would ya just listen! There's a threat out there that aims to hurt and kill people just for their own means, and me and my friends are the only ones standing in their way, but they're getting stronger and more dangerous, I have to get stronger and I was told that you're the only one who can teach me to master the power of the Ninja." Randy ranted, in hopes it would convince him,
"Not my problem," Ninjor told them, still not caring on who he is or what he wants.
Ninjor: Go away please!
He turned away from them and begins to hum a tune to himself,
Julie and Randy were speechless on Ninjor, in the way Dororo explained about him, it made him out to be a being of heroism, honor and humanity, but meeting him now, Ninjor was just an inconsiderate, lazy excuse for a ninja, who would just let innocent people be hurt while he chooses to do nothing.
Randy clenches his fists in anger, as he thinks back to what happened when he suffered his defeat against Red X and Taskmaster, and now he finds the one person who could help him in getting stronger, refuses to help, every atom in Randy's body was just screaming at him to fight Ninjor out of anger, but Randy did something completely unexpected...
Randy dropped to his knees and bows his head, performing dogeza; Julie was caught off guard by that while Ninjor stood unfazed.
"Please! I've come so far, I've endured so much and my enemies are getting stronger and the threat they pose will result in hundreds among thousands of people being hurt and killed, I swore to myself that me and my team will stop them but I have to get stronger for their and everyone else's sake, so please! I beg to you, the great Ninjor, take me on as your student, as your apprentice." Randy begged Ninjor,
Ninjor kept silent, while Julie gave him a scowl as she gets down on her knees next to Randy, putting her left hand on his back. "Randy, you don't have to bow to this creep; we'll find another way to help you get stronger." Julie tells him, not wanting Randy to turn to groveling to Ninjor.
Randy then lifts up his head and had a look of somber as he gives up, and stands up, with Julie following, the two the turned away and began to walk towards the exit,
Ninjor turned his head to the right a bit, seeing them about to leave, "(Sigh) Oh boy... Wait a minute!" Ninjor called out, with an annoyed tone of voice as he turned around to look at them, as Randy and Julie stopped and turned to look at him. "You speak in the ways of Bushido, you don't seek my training out of greed, you have shown that you truly walk the path of the ninja, than you are worthy enough to unlock the true power of the Ninja Mask." Ninjor explained to Randy, as what he said has turned him and convinced him.
Randy stood with a speechless expression, as he quickly understood what Ninjor was saying, he was going to train him as his apprentice, Julie smiled as she turned her head to look at Randy, as he snaps out of his processing and bows to his new sensei.
"Thank you, Master Ninjor!" Randy expressed his gratitude to Ninjor, as he stands up, with a proud smile on his face, but then, the butt of Ninjor's katana scabbard and hits Randy's forehead, knocking his head back, "OOOFFFF!" Randy cried out after being hit in the forehead
Ninjor held his scabbard in both hands, as he looked at Randy, "Not so fast, first I need to see what I'm dealing with here and what you can do." Ninjor tells Randy, as he turned away and walked off,
Randy rubbed his forehead, with a look of pain, while Julie looking confused, as she watches Ninjor walk over to the wall, where a large sword was hung on the rack, an large sword that was called an ōdachi, it was single-edged as the blade one foot wide, as it was curved slight, and it was five feet long.
Ninjor takes the ōdachi off the rack and turned to walk back over towards Randy, holding the sword in both hands, as Randy and Julie looked at the sword; Ninjor reaches Randy and held the sword up to him.
"This is the Ataru, Blade of the Sun, this ōdachi has been passed down from generation to generation of shinobi, and you will wield it as it will be a stepping stone to your training." Ninjor explained to Randy, as he held the Ataru to Randy, offering it to him.
Randy was hesitant at first, he was only expecting to gain a teacher, but he didn't expect that he would be giving a new sword, but Randy had a look of pride as he held up both hands, ready to receive it,
But when Ninjor puts it in Randy's hands and the second he lets go, the Ataru's weight immediately pushes Randy's hands down, along with his body to the floor, making a high crashing sound.
"OUUUFFFF!" Randy cried out as he hits the ground with great force, as the sword was ridiculously heavy.
Julie stared down at Randy, with Blank White Eyes, Ninjor turned away from them, as Randy struggled to stand back, as he held the Ataru's scabbard wrapped around both arms, with a look of absolute struggling trying to hold the sword, while sweating.
"The sword maybe a normal sword now..." Ninjor tells Randy, sagely,
Before Randy's legs gives and he falls backwards, smashing back down to the floor. "GGGAAAHH!" He cried out after smashing into the floor.
"... But as you undergo your training, you will be able to carry and wield it as if it was made of paper." Ninjor finished, not even going to look at the downed Randy, as he was being crushed under the weight of the Ataru.
Ninjor then turned to look down at Randy, as the sword on top of his chest, being crushed by it, he then walks over to Randy and grabs the handle of the Ataru with his left hand and lifts it off of him and held it up with ease, as if it was made of paper.
Julie then helps Randy back up, as the two of them looked at Ninjor holding the ōdachi in one hand,
"So, are you just gonna stand there, admiring my prowess or are we going?" Ninjor asked them, as he rested the blade on his left shoulder.
Randy stands up straight, looking at Ninjor, giving a small smirk, nodding,
Back the Triskelion's island, it was the dead of night and inside the SHED, A-Bomb and Ava were in the living area, as A-Bomb was sitting on the couch, watching TV, Ava was on her knees on the floor, at the coffee table, as she was playing with her SD Gunplas.
Ava had her eyes closed, with a bright happy smile on her face, as there was an aura of bright yellow with little flowers around her, as she was having so much fun playing with her Gunplas.
A-Bomb on the other hand, was contemplating on the situation, with the recruits all having airtight alibis roving that none of them are Red X or spies for Taskmaster, the search has now gotten vaster.
"If the traitor is someone outside the team and S.H.I.E.L.D., you think it maybe someone from school?" A-Bomb asked Ava, as he turns his head to look at her,
Ava stops playing and turns to look at A-Bomb, "Maybe, but know that we know the traitor isn't one of ours, we can bring everyone in on the investigation, hopefully with everyone on it, finding the spy will be easier." She tells A-Bomb,
A-Bomb nodded a bit, as she was right, but he then stands up and walks over to the wall, where his hoverboard was leaning against it.
Ava looked at A-Bomb with a confused look, "Where are you going?" She asked,
A-Bomb picks up his board and held with his right arm, "I'm going out for patrol, clear my head." He tells her, as he turns his hover board on and dropped it and it hovers off the ground and A-Bomb steps on top of it and glides off out of the SHED.
Leaving Ava there, as she lifted up her SD Zaku and cuddles it.
Now in Jump City, A-Bomb riding his hover board down the road, as he had a unemotional face as the whole 'Red X' thing is draining.
But then his watch starting, which makes him lift up his left arm and looked at his wrist.
'Attention all units, attention all units, a robbery is taking place in the First National Art Museum.' A-Bomb's watch picks up a transmission from a police scanner.
A-Bomb's face brightens up into a smile, as that means there's some bad guys for him to clobber, for a guy like him, it was the perfect pick-me up!
A-Bomb then leans and races to the art museum,
Now at the Art Museum, inside a large room filled with tons of paintings and sculptures,
As there was two men walking towards a display case, that had a large piece of purple diamond sitting within the glass case on a pillow.
The two men were wearing grey protective suits with helmets with eyeshields on them,
One of them had a wide build with his suit equipped with a construction-grade lifting clamp fitted onto the chest; this man's name was Junkyard Dog.
The other one had a tall and slim build, with his suit having a tank attached on the back and two tubes that connect to two twin acid sprayers he held in both hands, the man's name was Doodlebug.
They reach the glass case, Doodlebug then aimed his right sprayer at the glass and fires a stream of corrosive acid, which hits the glass and melts a hole through it.
Junkyard Dog reached his right hand out and grabs the diamond and takes it out of the case.
Junkyard and Doodlebug stares at the priceless diamond with grins on their face.
"So, how much do you think we'll get for it?" Junkyard asked Doodlebug, as they plan to sell it on the black market for an astronomical price.
"Well, I'd say five to ten..." A familiar voice was heard, which made Doodlebug and Junkyard jump and quickly turn to see A-Bomb at the entrance, leaning his left side on the corner way, with his arms crossed, as he smiled at the two bad guys. "... With time-off for good behaviour, but then again, I've only seen how the criminal justice system works thought TV." A-Bomb finished,
Doodlebug and Junkyard Dog both charged at A-Bomb, as he pushes himself off the wall and stands his ground, as Doodlebug shoots steams of acid at A-Bomb, which hits him in the chest, but thankfully due to A-Bomb's indestructible armored skin, the acid didn't burn or harm him at all.
Junkyard Dog then changes in and opens his suit's clamp and A-Bomb lifted up his left forearm up and the clamp shuts on it, but instead of hurting him, the metal bends at the curves of A-Bomb's forearm, Junkyard looked shocked as he looked up at A-Bomb, as he smiled smugly as he lifts his right hand up and delivers a powerful open palm push that tears the clamp off Junkyard's suit and sends him flying across the room, before hitting sliding across the floor, knocked out.
A-Bomb then lifted up is left arm, seeing that the clamp was still biting down on his arm, as grabs it with his right hand he tears it off his arm, and tosses it away, he looks ahead and sees Doodlebug, who was now holding a painting in it frame, in his hands, as he charges at A-Bomb, swings it and smashes it over A-Bomb's head into pieces, but of course it didn't hurt A-Bomb in the slightest.
"Well, that's just gonna add another three years, just so you know." A-Bomb tells Doodlebug, smiling, while Doodlebug looked at the now smashed frame in terror and attempts to run.
But A-Bomb's long reach with his left hand, he grabs Doodlebug's tank on his back and tears it off and tosses it aside and delivers another right open-palm push that sends him flying and landing right next to the unconscious Junkyard Dog, knock out as well.
A-Bomb looked disappointed, sighing as he walked towards to the defeated bad guys and goes over to Junkyard and leans over and reaches his left hand and takes the diamond out of his pocket, and walks over to the display case and puts it back on the pillow.
A-Bomb turned around and looked at Junkyard Dog and Doodlebug on the floor, with a disappointed expression on his face. "(Sigh) I was hoping for some action, but I gotta say I'm disappointed..." He tells them, as he puts his hands on his hip.
But then, from nowhere the sound of a girl laughing from up above, which quickly made A-Bomb flinch and hold his fists up, ready for a fight, but as he looks around, he sees where the laugh came from, and his eyes widen and he drops his fists.
"Whoa..." A-Bomb said, seeing the person,
On the upper deck of the room, sitting on the railing looking down at A-Bomb, with her legs crossed,
Was an teenage girl, possibly around 17, she was Caucasian with blue eyes, short blond hair that ends at the middle of her neck, she wore a white leotard with a little cleavage window, she had white gloves on each hand and wore white heeled boots, and had a small gold belt on her waist.
The mysterious girl had a sly smile on her face, as she looked at A-Bomb, "You're pretty good... For a thicc blue boy in hot pants (!)" She joked,
A-Bomb puts on a serious face, as he looked up at the mysterious girl, "Alright, who are-" A-Bomb then cuts himself off as he just realised something, with his serious look changing to a surprised look, as he looked down at his shorts. "Wait, you think they're high..?" He asked, as she thinks his shorts' leg are high enough to be classed as 'Hot Pants'.
The mysterious girl laughs some more,
A-Bomb shook the whole 'Hot Pants' subject off, and quickly slaps on a serious face again and glares at the mysterious girl, "Those two idiots yours?" He asked as he pointed his left thumb over his shoulder and points at Junkyard Dog and Doodlebug, asking if she's working with them.
But she just scoffed as she spins around and gets off the railing, "Please." She tells him, as she walks off.
"Hey!" A-Bomb called out, as he didn't want the mysterious girl to leave due to the possibility that she took something, A-Bomb then super jumps up to the upper deck and lands and chases after her.
On the roof of the museum, A-Bomb bursts through the fire escape door and he sees the mysterious girl standing on the edge of the roof, with her back facing him,
"Hey, wait!" A-Bomb yelled out, with a look of panic as it looked like the girl was going to jump off the roof, which makes A-Bomb run to her to stop her.
The girl then turned her head to the left to look over her shoulder and see A-Bomb running towards her, she then gives a smile before she leans over and falls off the roof.
"NO!" A-Bomb yelled out, too late to stop her from fall off the roof,
He reaches the edge of the roof to look over to see where the girl landed, and to his shock and speechlessness, he sees, ascending upward, was the girl, as she floating upward, with her now facing him, with her hands on her hips and giving A-Bomb a smug smile.
A-Bomb just stares at her, with Blank White Eyes and no nose, processing that she can fly, "How..?" He tries to muster the words,
The mysterious girl puts her right hand on her lips and blew a kiss at him before flying off,
A-Bomb snaps out of it, as his nose reappears and puts on a serious face and super jumps off the roof, after her,
The girl just flew without a care in the world, until she heard the sound feet smashing into rooftops, she turns her head around to see A-Bomb, as he was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, chasing her, the girl smiles as she flew faster, A-Bomb super jumps across some rooftops getting closer to the girl, as he leaps in the air until she makes a hard right, catching him off-guard, as he looked at her, before he turned to look ahead and see he was heading towards a roof billboard, A-Bomb panicked before reacting as he shifted his body mid-air and places both hands on the top of the billboard and flips over it, avoiding it and lands on the edge of the roof, and goes SD as he flails his arms, almost losing his balance and nearly falls off the roof, but he just manages to regain his balance and pulls himself back from the edge.
SD A-Bomb sighs in relief as he goes back to normal; he turned his head to the right to see the girl flying away,
The girl kept flying until A-Bomb jumps up from out of nowhere, right next to her, where she sees him,
"Y'know, in regards of that 'Hot Pants' comment, I gotta say, a leotard? I mean doesn't that ride up?" A-Bomb asked the girl with her wardrobe as leotards tend to ride up around the butt, and to wear it in public, it's pretty daring.
The girl turned her head to look at A-Bomb with a smirk, "Wouldn't you like to know (!)" She joked as she flies ahead, as A-Bomb falls and lands on another rooftop before super jumping up again for the last time as he sees that the girl had landed on a tall rooftop and faced the city.
A-Bomb lands on the rooftop and slowly walked towards the girl, as she turned around to look at A-Bomb, with a flirty smile,
"You always chase girls who brush you off (?)" She asked him, joking a bit as she puts her hands on her hips.
A-Bomb shook his head, "Nah... Just the flirty ones... I might run around in nothing but shorts but I'm a guy with standards." He replied back, as he had a mild expression on his face, making the fact he chased after her is not cuz' he digs her clear.
The girl laughed a bit, "Standards is putting it mildly, and yet I was expecting... Incredible..." The girl tells him, softly, as she started to fly upward, high into the air,
A-Bomb's eyes widen, "Hey, wait!" He ran at her but he was too late as she was too high for him to reach even with his super jump, he watches as the girl flies away at breakneck speed.
A-Bomb looked up at the night and had a tried look, "Yep, you're smooth as ice when it comes to the ladies, Jones (!)" He told himself sarcastically,
The next day, it was morning at the Triskelion's island, in the SHED,
A-Bomb, Kaikaina and Ava were in the living room area, all sitting on the couch while in their pajamas, watching TV and eating cereal, while Ava had her SD Zaku sitting on top of her head.
"Hey, guys!" Metabee's voice was heard, getting their attention as they turn and see him running in from outside, "Julie and Randy are back!" He tells them, with a happy look in his eyes.
Ava, Kaikaina and A-Bomb perks up as they all puts their bowls on the coffee table and stands up and follows Metabee out of the SHED and out on the landing pads.
Where the four of them look up and see the Quinjet, as it was coming down for a landing, setting down on the landing pad, the cargo doors open and walking out of the jet was Julie, now wearing her normal clothes and she sees her friends and smiles.
"Guys!" Julie said, as she ran over to Ava and Kaikaina and gives her two best friends a hug, as Kaikaina and Ava smiled as well, both giving her a hug back.
A-Bomb smiled as he walks up to Julie from behind and puts his right hand on Julie's left shoulder, as she, Ava and Kaikaina breaks off their hug and Julie turned her head to look at A-Bomb with a smile.
"Welcome back, Jule," A-Bomb greeted Julie,
Metabee walks in, looking up at Julie, with happiness in his eyes, before he looked around and noticed that Randy was around, he then looked back at Julie, "Where's Randy?" He asked Julie,
"So, this is where you live? Not five-stars but good enough to train." The sound of Ninjor's voice was heard as A-Bomb, Ava, Metabee and Kaikaina all turned to the Quinjet, where they see the ninja stepping out, observing the island base.
Kaikaina and Metabee looked at Ninjor with confusion on their faces, "Uhhh, so who's ninja Marvin the Martian?" Kaikaina asked as she turned her head to look at Julie.
Julie turned to face Ninjor, "That's Ninjor, he's the one who's gonna be training Randy," She tells them,
Then the sound of grunting was heard, as Randy was slowly exiting the Quinjet, as he was dragging the Ataru low on the ground, with his face as red as an tomato, while sweating like a pig in a steam room in the middle of summer, struggling to even move it.
Metabee, Kaikaina, Ava, A-Bomb and Julie all stared blankly at Randy slowly and struggling to dragging the sword,
Randy looked up and see his friends, he slaps on a grin, while still sweating like crazy, "Hey guys! (Pant) (Pant) (Pant)... Check it... I got a... (Pant) (Pant)... I got a new sword! So Bruce, am I right! (Pant)" Randy tells them, while panting, before falling face down into the ground, extremely tried.
A few hours later, now in the Triskelion, in the meeting room,
A-Bomb and Ava were standing up, while Randy, Kaikaina, Metabee and Julie were sitting around the meeting table.
"We've investigated who the spy might be, but thankfully it's not our own." Ava tells her teammates on the progress of her and A-Bomb's investigation and assures them that Kaede, Tula, Cyandog, Flash and Jaime are not the spy.
"But that means that the spy is someone on the outside, someone not in S.H.I.E.L.D." A-Bomb continued, with a serious look.
Julie looked surprised, "Are you saying that the spy is someone we know at school?" She asked A-Bomb,
A-Bomb nodded, "Aside from the rest of S.P.D. who was told of the location, there were only two who was around to hear it." He explained that he and Ava have narrowed it down to two suspects.
Kaikaina leans in, "Casey and-"
"Alice..." Randy said, with a look that shook his core,
Casey has always been a wild card, but not enough to be considered a spy for a villain like Taskmaster, while also having problems with authority; could it all be a front to hide his true nature?
Out of everyone that they have ever affiliated with, Alice being a spy for Taskmaster, it was something hard to swallow, how down to Earth she is, to think for even a second she would be someone who would hurt them, a small group of people they call her friend...
The deeper they look into this, the more they don't like what they find...
Meanwhile, in Washington's private quarters, Washington was sitting at his desk, facing computer,
Then the door opens and Centorea enters, as she sees Wash, "You wanted to see me?" Centorea said to Washington,
Washington turned around to look at her, "I might have found something of interest." He tells Centorea as he turned to face his computer,
Centorea leans in and looks at the computer as well,
"I did some digging on those files Taskmaster took, and found that they were old blueprints and schematics to a project that was decommissioned years ago." Washington explained to Centorea; as he scrolls the screen down to show her the blueprints and schematics.
Centorea raised her right eyebrow in curiosity, "Why would Taskmaster be interested in files to a decommissioned project?" She asked,
"The project was high-leveled, Director Fury commissioned it with the S.H.I.E.L.D. research and science division, but when it was decommissioned, nearly ever file of it was wipe, while the other half was locked into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Athenaeum's shadow servers, as every name who worked on the project was removed from them." Wash continued explaining,
"And the project, who was the head of it?" Centorea wondered, asking who was in charge of it.
"That's the thing, any information of the head of the project has completely wiped from every S.H.I.E.L.D. database, no history with S.H.I.E.L.D., where the construction was taking place, not even a name." Wash said,
"So what does Taskmaster has to gain from a decommissioned project that S.H.I.E.L.D. made sure it would never see the light of day?" Centorea said, as she turned to look at Wash,
Wash leans back on his chair as he turned to look at his partner, "I don't know, but all I know is that project was too dangerous for anyone to know about, and if Taskmaster knows about it, than we may be facing a threat greater than anything we've ever seen." Wash tells her, with a somber tone of voice.
As Washington and Centorea both turned to face the computer screen, where the screen readied 'Project Next'...
(Author Notes - I'm getting my groove back! I know this episode didn't have much action in it, but I need to get the story moving and an episode that takes a break on the action and focuses on story progression is a nice change of pace, and I'm happy that I got this episode finished in a good amount of time and I like how it went, with Julie and Randy opening up and the beginning of Randy's training with Ninjor, FYI I've been dying to use the whole Ava and her SD Gundams, makes for some cute and funny moments in the future.)
