Eyes slowly opening, stirring awake, observing the surroundings, seeing the inside of a hospital room,
"You're awake," A nurse enters the room, with a surprised look,
Eyes then closes again, before opening again, as time has passed where there was a doctor, with a woman with pink hair, wearing a heavy fur coat.
"This woman is your aunt; she'll be taking you home." The doctor said, introducing the woman,
The aunt leans in, with an innocent smile on her face, "Mon cher, don't be afraid, you're with family now..." The woman said, to a young Alice, who looked confused,
(Flash-forward: Two years)
At Sydney, at the destroyed Hayward house, Julie was standing before a heavily armored Taskmaster, who was holding Julie's father up by his shirts.
Julie's Dad looks at his daughter, with great worry and panic on his face.
"Julie... Who is this guy?!" He asked her who this skull-masked man was,
Julie gave her dad a reassuring look, "Dad, don't worry, he's not as bad as he looks..." She tells him, referring to Taskmaster,
But then, Taskmaster aims his right hand at Julie and fires an energy blast from it, Julie quickly reacts and leaps out of the way, she rolls on the ground and gets back up on her feet.
Julie then looked back at her dad, now looking worried, "Okay that was a lie, he's actually worse!" She admits it, what was the point of lying?
Taskmaster stared at Julie, "I don't hold anything against your father, but I won't hesitant on harming him to get to you, if you want your father to see tomorrow, surrender and come with me quietly and let's avoid a fight." Taskmaster told Julie, threatening her,
Julie narrowed her eyes, she didn't know what to so, Taskmaster held the power in this situation, she needed to get her dad to somewhere safe, but she couldn't just attack Taskmaster.
But then, Chomp comes in and bites Taskmaster on his right ankle, getting his attention, as Taskmaster looked down and sees Chomp, as he dropped his guard for a bit.
Julie eyes widen, Taskmaster was distracted, this was an opening she actives her jetpack and files a full speed, zooming passed Taskmaster, snatching both her dad and Chomp with great swiftness, Taskmaster notices this, as Julie flies out of the destroyed house, carrying Chomp and her dad, she flies to the street, she puts them down on the sidewalk, Julie hands Chomp to her dad.
"Get somewhere safe!" Julie told her dad,
"But Julie-" He said, worried for his daughter, she's going to fight Taskmaster.
"GO!" Julie yelled at him, looking dead serious,
Julie's Dad reluctantly runs away, carrying Chomp,
But then, smashing through the front side of the house, Taskmaster flew towards Julie and delivers a powerful right swing, hitting Julie and sends her flying, she recovers in midair, when she falls the ground, Julie plants both feet and hands on the road, tearing it with her dragging feet and hands to slow herself down.
Julie came to a full stop, she stands up and sees Taskmaster, walking towards her, Julie narrowed her eyes, as she raised up both her fists and smashes them down on the road, which causes a shockwave that rips the asphalt out of the ground and a wave of asphalt heads towards Taskmaster, but he simply pulls his left fist back and delivers a powerful punch, stopping the asphalt wave, toppling it over, Taskmaster then looks ahead and sees, flying towards him at great speed, Julie had her right fist up, as she was gonna deliver a high speed punch, but then, just when Julie was about to reach him, Taskmaster shifted to the left and Julie flies passed him, missing Taskmaster, Julie turns off her jetpack and plants her feet on the ground and charges at Taskmaster, tossing her left fist but he steps back, dodging her fist, Julie then threw her right fist but Taskmaster steps back, dodging again, Julie finally tosses her left fist with great force and finally lands a powerful punch to Taskmaster's chest, the blow punches him back a few feet, dragging his feet on the ground, Julie looked surprised that Taskmaster took that punch and is still standing.
Julie then charges and punches him again, pushing Taskmaster but he still stood his ground, Julie punches Taskmaster, pushing him back, she was getting confused, with each punch, Taskmaster's armor was getting more dense and heavier.
Taskmaster then looked at Julie, "Pitiful..." He said, as he then, with a sudden burst of speed, he delivers a thunderous right punch to Julie's stomach, the punch was so powerful, Julie is blasted off the ground, and is sent flying into the air, Julie flies into a building, smashing through it, passing by surprised and shocked people inside the building.
Julie falls to the ground, crashing into a road, tearing through it, and knocking some cars around, there were some people around the area who saw Julie's crashing and immediately ran away.
Julie groaned in pain, as she puts her right hand on her head and rubs it, she opens her eyes and look up and sees Taskmaster flying down via jets on his feet and back, as he lands, Julie glares daggers at him, as she quickly gets back on her feet and readied herself.
"So much power and yet the best you could do is a couple of punches." Taskmaster told Julie, sounding very unimpressed,
Julie got angry by that, "Oh, you want my best (?)" Julie said,
As she actives her jetpack and flies at Taskmaster, grabbing his left arm, pulling him off the ground, Julie carries Taskmaster high into the sky, before Julie began spinning Taskmaster around at high speed until she tosses Taskmaster, he spun around violently before he stops himself with his jets, straightening himself, Taskmaster scanned the skies and sees Julie was gone, he prepared himself, until Julie flies in and delivers a high speed punch to Taskmaster's faceplate, before flying away, he recovers and kept flying, before Julie flies in again and lands another blow to Taskmaster, flying away, but Taskmaster was still airborne and just hovered there, but then, Julie flies in and tackles him, the two tumbled in the air, as Julie delivers two punches to Taskmaster's chestplate, before places both hands on its sides, and pulls on it, attempting to tea Taskmaster's battlesuit to pieces, but Taskmaster swiftly grabs both of Julie's hands in his large, metal left hand with a swipe, he holds Julie's hands up, as she struggles to break free of his hold, Taskmaster pulls his right fist back, but before he could punch her, Julie thought quickly and pulls on her arms and lifted her legs up, aiming her jetpack's afterburners at Taskmaster's face, and blasts them in his face, Taskmaster lets go of Julie's hands and she immediately flies away from him, she gets a good distance away from him.
Both Taskmaster and Julie stared down at each other, as they hovered in the sky, Julie narrowed her eyes, before her and Taskmaster flies at each other at full speed and the two clashes with each other, blasting a huge shockwave, when the shockwave dies down, Julie was plummeting out of the sky, with a look of pain on her face, as her jetpack was destroyed from that shockwave, as Julie falls to the Earth, she shakes off the daze, and repositions herself in the air and looks below, Julie had a frantic face as she couldn't transform into Gorem to land safely because Gorem's large size crashing down would harm citizens, she needed to minimize damage, but she quickly remembers her new powers.
Julie closed her eyes and concentrates, "Come on, come on!" She said to herself, trying to turn her entire body to metal,
But Julie was getting closer to the ground, fortunately she just manages to active her power and turns her entire flesh into metal and Julie clashes into the road, shaking the ground and making a huge crate.
Flying down near the crater, as the dust clears, but Julie wasn't there, but then from behind, a lamppost swings and smashing Taskmaster on his left side, knocking him to the ground, on his front, the swing came from Julie, who held up the lamppost in both hands, as she was still in her metal form, before her skin turns back to flesh.
Julie scowls at the downed Taskmaster, as she drops the lamppost and leaps onto Taskmaster's back, she scans the back of his battlesuit to find something important for her to rip out, like the power source or motor circuits, but before she could find anything, the right shoulder-guard on Taskmaster's battlesuit removes itself via a robotic arm attached to it, the arm aims the shoulder-guard, as there was some kind of red orb embedded into it, and it starts glowing brightly.
Julie's eyes widen in shock as she knew what that thing was, "Oh boy..." Julie simply said, as the shoulder-guard blasts Julie, sending her flying off Taskmaster's back, and smashing into the side of a parked car.
Taskmaster gets back up on his feet and turns to Julie, who struggled to get back up, as she hair was out of its side ponytail and was now down.
"An admirable try, but this is getting tedious, just surrender and this will end easy for you." Taskmaster told Julie,
Julie narrowed her eyes, as she brushed some of her hair out of her eyes, "I don't do 'Easy'..!" She retorted coldly,
As Julie then grows and transforms into Gorem, Taskmaster looks up at the towering golem, before Gorem lifted up her right foot up and stomps down at Taskmaster, but he flies backwards, dodging Gorem's foot, before lifting up her left foot and stomps it down at him, but Taskmaster flies back and dodges her foot again, he the flies upward towards Gorem's face, but then, with a swift snatch, Gorem catches Taskmaster in her large right hand, Gorem tightens her hold on Taskmaster until she tosses him to the ground, smashing him at full force, shattering the road below, Gorem then unleashed a barrage of punches down at Taskmaster, she punches with great ower and speed, shaking the area like an earthquake, shattering windows from buildings, destroying cars, and causing innocent people to run in fear from the destruction.
Gorem's punches stopped, leaving a huge crater in the ground, Gorem lean down a little to see if Taskmaster was down and out, she couldn't see Taskmaster, until, rocketing out of the rocks, he flies at Gorem, and once he reaches her chest and strikes a double open-palm on it, which blasts a pulsating shockwave that was 50 times more powerful than the last one a shockwave so powerful it knocks Gorem back and off her feet, Gorem topples over and crashes down, wrecking a few buildings, creating a huge gust of dust.
Gorem laid on her back, she opens her eyes with a look of pain, where she sees Taskmaster hovering in-front of her, he raised up his left arm, as a ray gun deploys and he aims it at her, before Gorem could react, Taskmaster fires a beam of strange energy, it hits Gorem on her forehead, and then suddenly, Gorem abruptly shrinks and transforms back into Julie, as she falls and hits the ground, hard.
Julie pushes herself up, looking at herself in shock, she then sees Taskmaster landing in-front of her, Julie struggled to get back up.
"How did you do that..?" She asked, wanting to know how Taskmaster turned her back into Julie?
Taskmaster raises up his left arm up showing the ray gun on his gauntlet, "Your ability to transforms has a unique energy wavelength, this device fires an energy beam that had the opposite frequency which cancels out your wavelength, reverting you back to your normal self." Taskmaster explained to her,
Julie now looked really confused, Taskmaster having a weapon to cancel out her transformation, how and why?
"And if you were wondering about those shockwaves, this battlesuit's armored hide is integrated with a highly rare and valuable metal you may already know as Vibranium, it took a while and cost the lives of a lot of hired mercenaries to smuggle as mush of the rare metal from Wakanda, with its unique properties of absorbing kinetic energy, this battlesuit structuring can store the energy from each blow you land, increasing its density, making it practically indestructible, and allowing me to expel all the stored up energy in a single, energy shockwave." Taskmaster finished explaining, as he lowers his left arm,
After hearing that, Julie's eyes widen in shock as she figures something out, "That suit wasn't built to fight just anyone; it's built to fight me!" Julie said, putting together that Taskmaster had that battlesuit made to take on Julie specifically.
"You should know by now, I always take my time to observe and study my enemies and prepare myself to the fullest." Taskmaster tells her,
Julie now looked so angry and frustrated, "You come to me hometown, almost hurt my Dad, built a dangerous battlesuit to stand toe to toe against me..? Why!?" She yelled out, demanding to know Taskmaster suddenly having interest of her.
But Taskmaster sighed, annoyed, "You still fail to see the role you play in all of this..." He mentions to Julie, in a cold tone of voice,
Julie gritted her teeth in rage, as she then charges at full speed towards Taskmaster, throwing a left punch at him, but Taskmaster shifted his body and dodges her punch, as it was so powerful it created a huge gust of wind, and Taskmaster then delivers a right punch to Julie's face, knocking her back a bit, he then delivers a barrage of punches to Julie's head, punches so fast, she couldn't react fast enough, before Taskmaster does a right uppercut to Julie's chin, it sent her flying and crashing through a corner of a building, she falls to the next street, she tumbles onto the road.
Julie had a look of pain on her face, a blood was trailing down her forehead and the right corner of her mouth, she laid on her front, struggling to get back up, but she couldn't, Julie knew this was a fight she couldn't win, she reaches her right hand to her S.H.I.E.L.D. communicator, and hits the emergency S.O.S.
But then Taskmaster appears and grabs Julie by her hair in his left hand and pulls up on it, lifting Julie off the ground and holding her at Taskmaster's eye lever, while Julie had a look of pain and struggle, as her hands were trying to pry open Taskmaster's hold on her, he reaches his right and takes Julie's communicator off her wrist, Taskmaster then crushes it in his hand.
Taskmaster then looked at Julie, "Are you done?" He asked, in a bored tone of voice,
Julie glares at him, as she then spits in Taskmaster's face,
As her bloody spit was trailing down his faceplate, Taskmaster punches Julie in her stomach, knocking the wind outta her, before Taskmaster tosses her a few feet away, as she tumbles, Taskmaster smashes his right fist into the road and rips out a underground powerline out of the concrete, he digs his fingers into the large cable, and high voltage was surging through his battlesuit.
Julie manages to get back on her feet, but she could barely keep her balance, as she looks ahead and sees, Taskmaster's battlesuit opens up and he steps out of it, as he had a large gauntlet on his right arm, with cables connected to the inside of his battlesuit.
Taskmaster stares at Julie, she was beaten and bruised, but she scowls at him and raised up her fists, she wasn't going down without a fight, Taskmaster was actually impressed by Julie's will not to give up, a trait from someone so young was amazing.
"Astonishing..." Taskmaster uttered, despite her knowing this is a fight she can't win, Julie wasn't gonna give up.
But then, Taskmaster charges at Julie, she swings her left fist at him, but Taskmaster shifted his body to the left, dodging her fist, and then Taskmaster reaches his right hand and grabs Julie's forehead, and then, Taskmaster's gauntlet strikes Julie with so much voltage, as the cables were generating the electricity from that powerline, Julie screamed her lungs out as the entire city's power was electrocuting her whole body, as huge strikes of electricity was coming off Taskmaster's gauntlet, then Taskmaster stops the power, smoke was coming off Julie's hair, as her eyes had no pupils, her mouth was wide open, and she slips into unconsciousness, Taskmaster releases his hold on Julie, as her unconscious self falls to her knees and then falls to the ground, on her front.
Taskmaster removes a small device from the palm of his gauntlet, as it was the small disk device his team stole from the lab from Germany, the disk looked burnt out and broken from that surge, Taskmaster tosses the now useless device, he turned looked down at the unconscious Julie.
"You have spirit, I'll give you that much..." Taskmaster said to Julie,
Running around a corner from an alley, was Julie's Dad, still carrying Chomp, he turned and sees Taskmaster, now back inside his battlesuit, picking up unconscious Julie and puts her on his left shoulder.
Julie's Dad looked shocked and horrified, "Julie! No!" He yelled out, as he ran to Taskmaster to stop him, but before he could reach him, Taskmaster blasts off the ground, making a small shockwave that knocks him to the ground, he saw Taskmaster fly away, carrying Julie, Chomp looked at the escaping Taskmaster, he barked sadly as he watched helplessly as Taskmaster flew away, Julie's Dad sits up and looks up, with an extremely worried expression.
Meanwhile, back at Jump City, there were lots of smoke coming from wrecked buildings, at ground level; there was a path of destruction with wrecked shops, apartment complexes, smashed up cars, as there were destroyed Taskbots laying in the street.
While, flying through the air towards an active battleground, was Blue Beetle, as he was carrying Kaede on his back, with her standing surfing on Beetle, as she was armed with her giant shuriken, while Beetle flies down towards a small group of attacking Taskbots, as he was shooting his arm cannons at them, hitting a couple of them, before Kaede leaps off Beetle's back, she performs a front-flip and throws her shuriken at the Taskbots, it mowers the robot to pieces as Blue Beetle then puts his arm cannons together and the fuse and transforms in to his shield, and Beetle flies in at the remaining Taskbots, crashing into them.
In another area, Agent Venom shoots a web-line at a fire hydrant and rips it out of the ground and swings it at some Taskbots, smashing them with the fire hydrant, as water was blasting out of the ground, Aquagirl runs up next to the geyser of water, she then uses her hydrokinesis to take control of the water creating a huge water serpent and attacks the Taskbots, washing them out, destroying them.
Washington and Centorea were fighting side by side, with Wash firing his rifle, as Centorea was slashing her longsword, bullets piercing and blade slicing, destroying a lot of Taskbots.
While the fight was going on street level, on the roof of the tallest building in Jump City, S.P.D. were facing the Syndicate, A-Bomb glares at Felix.
"What's your game here, Felix, Taskmaster wouldn't send you and an army to attack us unless there was a hidden reason." A-Bomb said to Felix, thinking back at how Taskmaster's Lieutenants kept them distracted before.
Killer Frost grinned wickedly, "The 'Hidden' reason is that we won, and Taskmaster gave us full freedom to destroy Jump City as much as possible and keep you idiots busy for the sheer fun of it!" Frost tells them, in a mocking tone,
Harley smiled as she lifted up her left hand, as there was a detonator in it, "And now we leave you with a bang!" She told S.P.D., as she presses the detonator,
Then suddenly, at ground level, the remaining Taskbots all got a signal, and they all turned and ran to the tall building, once the Taskbots reach the base of the building, the robots self-destruct, heavily damaging the base, shaking the whole building, catching A-Bomb, White Tiger, Kaikaina and Metabee off-guard, suddenly flying in was a jet craft, the Syndicate reacts and Felix fires an energy blast on the ground, creating a gust of dust, covering them, Metabee and A-Bomb bot ran through the dust and sees Felix flying up to the jet craft, as Frost, Poison Ivy and Harley climbed on Killer Croc's back, as he leaps up and climbs aboard the jet, along with Toad, Metabee and Kaikaina aimed their gauntlet and blasters at the jet to attempt to take it down, but the jet flies away with the Syndicate in it, leaving S.P.D. there, before they could do anything, the building started shaking more violently, getting their attention, as the team realize that the building was now beginning to topple over, with them still on it.
"Oh no!" Kaikaina said in shock,
A-Bomb quickly run and grabs Kaikaina, Metabee and Tiger, holding them in his arms and moving them to a signel towel.
"HOLD ON!" A-Bomb bellowed out, shielding his teammates,
On the ground, the others sees the falling building, everyone ran to get to a safe distance, Washington and Centorea, Keade and Agent Venom ran into an alley, as Blue Beetle flies in and picks up Aquagirl, carrying her bridle style and flies her upward to a safe distance.
The building was about to crash into the ground, A-Bomb and the others braced themselves, the building topples and smashes into the ground, shaking the ground, creating a huge gust of dust, shatter glass and destroyed debris, in the ally, dust blasted by, as Wash and the others shielded their eyes from the dust and glass.
As the dust cloud clears, there was nothing but wreckage and destruction everywhere, emerging from the dust, was S.P.D., as all of them were shaken up from that, A-Bomb's jacket was torn up, as was Kaikaina's, White Tiger's costume was cut up a bit.
Then, Wash and Centorea emerges out from the alley, with Venom and Kaede, Blue Beetle flies down and sets Aquagirl down, they all looked at all of the destruction everywhere, each of them with either shocked, speechless or confused looks, what was all about, Kaikaina and Metabee looked on to the wretched city, A-Bomb turned to White Tiger, both of them were uneased by what Frost said, 'They already won', meaning like on the space freighter, against Taskmaster's Lieutenants, the Syndicate were just a distraction.
Meanwhile, in Norrisville, inside Randy Cunningham's family house, in his room, Randy were kneeling on the floor, with Ninjor on his knees, facing him, as the Ninja Nomicon laying in-between them.
Howard was still in his wheelchair, watching from the side,
Ninjor looked at Randy, "Ready?" He asked Randy,
Randy had a bit of a hesitant look, as he turns to look at Howard, he gave Randy a assuring look, while giving a nod, Randy then turned back to Ninjor with a straight face.
"As ready as I'll ever be," He answered Ninjor,
Ninjor nodded, as he opens the Nomicon, and a bright light shines out of the book, Randy and Ninjor's body suddenly goes limp and falls to the floor.
Inside the Nomicon, Randy was in a long corridor of sliding doors, it was quiet as Randy was walking down the hallway, looking around, wondering where Ninjor was.
"Well, well, haven't seen you here for a good while..." The sound of Randy's voice was heard behind him,
Randy stopped walking and turned around, with an bored and unfazed look, as he knew who this was,
Leaning his back against the screen door, was a version of Randy who had his jacket's hood up, as he shot a serious smug smirk at normal Randy.
"Finally got tired of broodin' to come and visit (?)" Dark Randy told Randy,
Randy narrowed his eyes at Dark Randy, before a hand reaches out and touches his right shoulder, he turned his head to look over his shoulder, and he sees another Randy, who wasn't wearing a jacket, who had a straight face.
"You've been neglecting us for a long time, Randy..." Light Randy told Randy, with a disapproving look,
Randy looked at Light Randy, with a straight face, as Dark Randy pushes himself off the screen door and walks up to them, while Light Randy removes his hand from Randy's shoulder.
Randy takes a step and looks at Light Randy and Dark Randy, as Dark Randy gave Randy an anger scowl, "Why are you even here, you lost the Ninja Mask, you have no right to be here!" He ranted, pointing his left index finger at him.
Light Randy stood next to Dark Randy, crossing his arms, glaring at Randy.
He sighs heavily, "Look, don't need to tell me what I already know..." Randy retorted at his Light and Dark Variants,
Randy then gives them a hopeful look, "... But Ninjor is gonna give the Mask back, so, all I need to do is find him," He told them, with a small smile, assuring them,
But Light and Dark Randy were both unimpressed look, "You really think it's that easy?" Light Randy asked Randy,
"All that emotional baggage and you still haven't realized a thing!" Dark Randy added, in annoyance,
Randy's small smile then disappears and looked confused,
Light Randy turned to Dark Randy, "Looks like we're gonna have to take a more drastic approach..." Light Randy said to him,
Dark Randy chuckled, "For once, we're in agreement," He mentions to Light Randy,
Randy looked more confused on what they were talking about,
Then, suddenly both Light and Dark Randy began to glow a bright and blinding light, Randy shielded his eyes from the blinding light, the light dies down, Randy removes his arms from his eyes and sees, to his shock, Dark and Light Randy were gone and replacing them were Taskmaster and the Mandarin.
Randy was completely confused on what was happening, as he takes a step back,
Mandarin raised up his left hand as electricity was coming off his claw like fingers, "It's time to confront your demons..." Mandarin told Randy, in a dark tone of voice, as he shoots lightning at Randy, who quickly backflips and dodges the blast, he lands on his feet.
Randy looked up and sees Taskmaster deploys his energy sword, ready for a fight, Randy now looked really worried.
Meanwhile, back in Jump City, in the Triskelion, in the med-bay, Dr. Grey and her staff were treating S.P.D., as A-Bomb and Ava were sitting on sides of the same bed, deep in though, while Metabee was pacing back and forth, absolutely angry.
"They came to our hometown and blindsided us, and Fury wants us to stay put and not go after them!?" Metabee ranted in anger,
Tula gave him a concerned expression, "Metabee, please calm down..." She said, worried,
"No! Bee's right, Taskmaster attacked us, destroyed a good chuck of the city, terrorized innocent people, I'm not just gonna sit on my hands and let them get away with this!" Jaime ranted, standing up and looking dead serious.
"Yeah!" Flash yelled out, in full agreement, as Kaede nodded while holding up her kunai, wanting payback.
Ava then stands up with a frustrated look, "Enough! This isn't the time to look for revenge, considering that this attack was planned," Ava told them,
Jaime, Flash, Kaede and Tula all were taken back by that,
Then, entering the med-bay, was Centorea, who had a concerned look, everyone turned to see the centaur.
"So, how's the aftermath, Cerea?" A-Bomb asked her, with a tired expression on his face,
Centorea sighed, "The World Security Council are on a warpath against Director Fury, this attack on Jump City has the Council questioning this team's need in S.H.I.E.L.D., and unfortunately it's not just the Council." Centorea explained to them, as she raises up her right wrist and presses her watch, suddenly a holoscreen appeared, showing a news report.
'... An all-out super powered war breaks out in the Jump City, mere hours ago, an entire invading army of unknown origins attacked a group of what appears to be young teens with powers, the results ending with nearly half of the city being destroyed, homes and businesses left in ruins, thankfully only minimal injuries to a few unfortunate casualties, no fatalities, the group of young individuals have been investigated by local authorities and they have been confirmed to be students at local high school, this reporter doesn't know what the higher ups will do about this dangerous, super powered teenagers, but I can assure you that they will face justice.' A reporter gave their report, as pictures of A-Bomb, Kaikaina, Metabee and Tula.
The reason Ava, Jaime and Flash's pictures weren't there because they're the only ones who were wearing masks and concealed their identities.
Centorea turns off the holoscreen, Kaikaina were shocked and outraged, "WHAT?! They're blaming us?! It was Felix and those jerks who attacked and tore up the city!" She yelled in anger,
Ava had a disapproving look, "The city is furious and they want to angry at someone and we're the closer thing." She tells them,
"We have bigger things to worry about, this whole attack was just to keep us busy, they used the same trick on us before and we just fell for it again like amateurs!" A-Bomb yelled in frustration, angry at himself for not realizing what their enemies were doing it again,
Ava now had a greatly worried face, "And I fear that this time they got hold of something more important..." She uttered,
Then running into the Med-bay, was Cerebix and Cyandog, in a panic, as everyone turned to see the two robots.
"Everyone, Julie's been kidnapped!" Cyandog yelled out,
The whole team was all taken by shock and horror, A-Bomb especially, now putting two together, the attack by the Syndicate was to keep them distracted so whoever Taskmaster sent could take on and capture Julie.
Meanwhile, Julie lying on her side, slowly stirring and waking up, opening her eyes and sitting up quickly, with a look of panic, she scans her surrounding and sees she was inside a large spherical force field.
Julie then noticed that she was now wearing a white, full bodysuit with a pyramid prism on the chest, she was a bit weak, as she tried to get back on her feet, Julie wobbled a bit, as she looked around, she was in a dark room.
"Good, you're awake," The sound of Taskmaster's voice was heard, as Julie quickly turned to where his voice came from, as Taskmaster emerges out from the shadows.
Julie was too dazed and weak to react, so she merely narrowed her eyes and glares at him,
"I'll be honest, fight was a bit underwhelming, I was expecting more outta you." Taskmaster told Julie with a slightly dismissive tone, slight disappointing on his fight against Julie.
Julie got angry by comment, "Drop this force field and I'll give you more of a fight!" She threatens him,
Taskmaster started walking around the force field, "That sounded like a threat, a pretty good one..." He retorted, not fazed by it,
Julie throws her right fist and punches the force field at where Taskmaster was, it didn't do anything and Taskmaster didn't even flinch at that.
"Why did you kidnapped me..?" She demanded to know why Taskmaster wrecked her family's home, threaten her father's life and build a battlesuit to fight her.
Taskmaster turned his body and faced Julie, as he sighed annoyingly, "So much power and still have no idea how large of a part you play in all of this..." He tells her,
Julie pulls her right fist back from the force field, still scowling at Taskmaster, but with a slightly confused look, what did he mean on her playing a part in this?
"Your powers are tied to a world far beyond ours, and it's that world I'm going to pry open to..." Taskmaster explains,
Julie's face the changed to a look of shock, "Vestroia... That's where you're trying to get to?" Julie said, utterly stunned by this,
"Our lives were changed that day, but somehow you were able to travel across to that world without a portal, and once you emerged back to our world, you were now carrying a powerful piece of Vestroia within you that ties you back to the world itself." Taskmaster continued to explain,
Julie was stunned, "That day I was sent to Vestroia... That was because of you!?" She said, never considering that the reason she was sent to another world and got her powers was the results of Taskmaster's action.
"What are you trying to achieve by opening a gate to Vestroia?" Julie asked,
"A being of immense power that could spell the end of all life, a creature who goes by the name of Naga, when I crossed over to the other side, I bare witnessed to the intense force of his being, I knew that power like that wouldn't be held back by the borders of his world, even before learning there were other worlds." He explained,
Julie gave a complexed look, "You sound like you're a fan..." She mentioned,
"I am a realist, after he learned there were other worlds, Naga was determined to rip the walls apart and conquer everything, I offered an ultimatum, despite his power, Naga had no idea how to tear open into our world, the process would have taken years for him to figure it out, but he would figure it out regardless, so I proposed a deal to create another portal large enough to allow him to cross over, and in exchange, he'll leave one galaxy to be spared, that galaxy will be a safe haven to all, under the monarch that will offer survival and be savior to all; Me." Taskmaster finished explaining,
Julie was speechless, that's what this was all about?
"You... You're insane... All of this is because you were crazy enough to strike a deal with some inter-dimensional creature so you'd be some kind of savior!? You actually think that this Naga thing is gonna honor you deal, what makes you think that something that powerful won't just backstab you and take it all!?" Julie ranted,
Taskmaster turned away, with his hands behind his back, "You let me worry about that, as so all of the preparations are finished, a new order will begin." He told her, as he walks out of the dark room, leaving a stunned Julie alone.
Meanwhile, inside the Nomion, Randy was running down corridor, still being chased by the Mandarin and Taskmaster.
Randy was acing, getting tired and looks ahead, seeing a katana hanging on the wall, as he runs passed, he grabs the sword off the wall, the Mandarin fires a energy blast, Randy jumps and spins, using the katana to defect the blast back at them, but Taskmaster blocks the blast with his shield, as they kept chasing Randy.
Randy realized what he was doing and that running was pointless, he stops and turned to face Taskmaster and Mandarin, who stopped chasing him, as Randy raised up his sword, with a serious look, ready for a fight.
Then suddenly, the hallway walls falls down, revealing them to be in a large arena, Randy stared down Taskmaster and the Mandarin, waiting for them to make the first move, but neither of them made a move, Randy drops his guard a little as he was confused on what they were doing, but then, a foot swiftly comes in and kicks Randy's back, knocking him to the ground, Randy pushes himself up and looked over his left shoulder and sees, standing before him was Red X, to Randy's frustration, as he quickly gets back up on his feet, Taskmaster, Mandarin and Red X surrounded Randy, he had a patient look, as his eyes darted from Taskmaster, to Mandarin, to Red X, Randy waited for one of them to make the first move.
Then, Red X charges at Randy, swinging his right leg at Randy, but he ducks and dodges the kick, Red X flies passed him, and Randy quickly stands up and sees Taskmaster charging in, throwing a left punch, Randy raised up his katana and Taskmaster's fist his the side of the blade, the punch pushes Randy back, dragging his feet on the floor, when he stopped, Randy looks up and sees, flying over Taskmaster's head, was Mandarin, who slashes his claw-like hands at Randy, he reacts and blocks the attack with his katana, Randy holds the Mandarin's claws back with the sword's blade, as he was holding him back, Randy's eyes shifted to the right, and sees Taskmaster running towards him, Randy pushes Mandarin back, but before Randy could react, Taskmaster lands a left punch to Randy's stomach, knocking the wind out of him, but Randy tried to recover, but Mandarin reaches and grabs the back of Randy's head, and tosses him across the arena, Randy hits and tumbles on the floor, he rolls up and gets back on his feet, Randy looked up and sees Red X up in the air, falling towards him, armed with his X daggers, ready to strike him, Randy quickly raised up his katana and blocks the attack, Red X pushes himself off and lands on his feet, where he lunges delivers a flurry of attack, slashing his daggers, while Randy was beginning to struggle to keep up against him, until Red X swung his left dagger outward, knocking the sword out of Randy's hands, Red X then spins and jump, delivering a spinning kick to Randy's face, knocking him off his feet and to the ground.
Randy struggled to get back up, as he looked up and sees Red X, Mandarin and Taskmaster towering over him,
"Is this the results of all your hardships?" The Mandarin said to Randy,
"So much pain, so much failure..." Red X added in a mocking tone of voice,
"You were never worthy of being The Ninja..." Taskmaster told Randy, darkly,
Randy was enraged by all of that, as he immediately gets back up and leaps up above the three of them and lands near his sword, quickly picking it up and turning to Red X, Mandarin and Taskmaster, charging at them for an attack, Randy leaps up to strike them, but The Mandarin fires an energy beam, blasting Randy and knocking him to the ground.
Randy tried to get back up, "You are doomed to fail, as you have always failed yourself and others..." Mandarin told Randy,
He gets back up, scowling at Mandarin, "You don't know what you're talking about!" Randy yelled out, as he ran towards them again,
Randy thrusts his katana at Mandarin, but Red X teleports in-between them and blocks Randy's blade with his left dagger.
"We know you better than you know yourself," Red X replied to Randy, as he held him back, and where Red X jumps up and striking both daggers down at Randy, who reacts by lifting up his katana to block his attack.
But when their blades clash, Randy's mind suddenly gets a flashback,
(Flashback)
A-Bomb stood before Randy with a serious face,
'If you do this... You'll be destroying everything you believe in...' A-Bomb said, as the flashback recapped the moment where Randy betrayed the team,
(End of flashback)
Randy gets knocked back, before swinging his sword at Taskmaster, who swings his laser sword, and when their sword clashed, and another flashback struck,
(Flashback)
Gene Khan was facing Randy,
'... You must pledge allegiance to me and you will be rewarded for your action...' Gene offered as this was where he swayed Randy into joining him,
(End of flashback)
Randy snaps back to reality shaking his head as the flashbacks were hurting him, Randy leas up and pounces at Mandarin, but he reaches his right hand and grabs Randy by his left ankle and swings him down, smashing Randy into the ground hard.
This causes another flashback,
(Flashback)
Taskmaster was standing his foot on top of Ninja's head,
'This is where you belong, Ninja! Under my heel!' Taskmaster told Ninja, with anger in his tone; this was when Ninja fought Taskmaster in his underwater lair.
(End of flashback)
Snapping out of the flashback, Randy tried to get back up, but he was in too much pain and his body was pushed to its limit, The Mandarin looms over Randy, lifting up both his fists and smashes the back of Randy's head, knocking him back down to the ground.
This triggers one more flashback,
(Flashback)
Alice was facing away from randy, before turning around and looking at him, with a weary and lifeless look on her face,
She started at Randy, lifting up her left hand out, 'Randy...' Alice said, like a plead for help,
But then suddenly, in a burst of light, a huge, towering creature, that resembles a dragon, appeared behind Alice.
(End of flashback)
The Randy snaps back to reality, he gets back up, now with frustration as he charges at Taskmaster, Red X and Mandarin, and began slashing like crazy.
"I failed myself and my friends, I tuned to evil because I didn't think I was good enough, I let hatred for Taskmaster fester into rage and suffering!" Randy began ranting out, as he slashes his katana at Taskmaster, who blocks the attacks with his laser sword,
"I lost myself because I thought I wasn't, but I am, my friends knew it and so do I, I am good enough, I am worthy to be The Ninja and I'm not a failure!" Randy roared out, as he delivers a final slash and lands a strike on Taskmaster helmet, causing him to drop his sword and step back.
Taskmaster covered his masked with his right hand, before removing it, as part of his mask was gone, the rest of it crumbles to pieces, revealing his face, which turns out to be Randy!
Randy was taken back and shocked at seeing Taskmaster having his face, what was this?!
He turned to see Mandarin and Red X, who then removes their helmet and mask, revealing that they both have Randy's face.
Randy looked at all the Randys, confused on all of this,
"If you truly believe all of that, then why do you torture yourself?" The sound of Ninjor's voice was heard,
Randy's sight didn't leave the three Randys, he suddenly lost all his anger and confusion as he felt clarity, and a smile forms, finally learning what the meaning of all of this as, Randy's sword disappears in a flash of light; Randy then bows to the other Randys, before they disappeared.
Randy lifted up his head, he turned around and sees Ninjor, standing before him, Randy gets down on his right knee and bows to Ninjor, "Master... I finally understand," He told Ninjor, with a look of understanding,
Ninjor had his hands behind his back, looking down at Randy, "Well, tell this master what exactly you have learnt," He tells Randy gently,
Randy had a slightly sadden look now, as he faced the floor, "I... I've been obsessed with failure and redemption, letting myself by consumed by my want to take down Taskmaster, that with wanting to redeem myself for betraying my friends and almost help Mandarin in destroying the world, and because of all that I harden my heart, put walls around me and pushed away my friends when they tried to help me, pushing myself to be perfect, to be stronger, to be-" Randy explained, until he's interrupted when Ninjor whacks him over the head with his scabbard,
"WHACK!"
"OW!" Randy cried out, making him look up at Ninjor, with a confused and painful look on his face, "What!?" He said, wanting to knowing what he did that, as Randy rubbed the top of his head.
As Ninjor puts his scabbard on his back, he raised his left hand and lifted his index finger.
"You were monologuing, simple question: simple answer." Ninjor tells Randy, gently,
Randy looked at him, getting what he's saying; don't overthink it, even the simplest answers are the most clear.
Randy hangs his head, with a straight face, "I became my own worst enemy..." He answers,
Ninjor lowers his arms and gave a nob, "Good answer," He said, in an approving tone,
Randy stands up and gave Ninjor a small smirk, he felt a huge weight lifting off his shoulders, gaining a new found confidence, most definitely due to finally confronting his personal demons.
"Now that you are rational again, you must return to your friends to help stop a great and powerful evil from entering this world." Ninjor explained to Randy, in a serious tone,
Randy gives a determined face, as he nodded, "It's time to finish this once and for all." Randy mentions,
"Then you'll be needing this," Ninjor mentioned to Randy, lifting up his right hand, revealing the Ninja Mask, which made Randy smile widely as he takes the mask.
Randy noticed that the mask's design was different, "What's with the new design?" He asked, confused,
"It isn't just the appearance that's changed the Nomicon and Ninja Mask has seen you overcome your own challenges, so like you, the Ninja Mask has assented to the next level, and will grant you new abilities you will need for the upcoming battle." Ninjor explained to Randy,
Randy looked at Ninjor, before looking at his new Ninja Mask, a look of confidences forms on his face, and he puts on the mask.
Now in the outside world, in Randy's room, Howard was watching TV, looking bored, until all of a sudden, a huge blinding light flares up, causing Howard to shield his eyes from the light, as it fills up the entire room.
Then the light instantly dies down, Howard removes his arms from his eyes, where to his surprise, he sees, standing before him was Ninjor and Ninja.
And Ninja's suit was completely different, his scarf now had two ends hanging behind him, the suit sleeveless, while red bandages were wrapped around both forearms ending at his hands, where there made finger-less gloves, both legs had red patterns where the Ninja's insignia were on both knees, and the Ninja's mask new design had a red sash around his forehead, and the pattern had the red streaks around the eye-hole that were horizontal, were now diagonal with only the bottom half having them.
Howard was utterly amazed and speechless at Ninja's new suit,
Ninja takes a good look at his new suit, "So... Honkin'... Bruce!" He said, totally impressed.
Meanwhile, back in Triskelion Island, in the building, S.P.D. were all in the conference room, A-Bomb, Ava, Kaikaina and Metabee were all angry and annoyed, the entire team has been grounded by the Council, despite Nick's defense, they were forced to remain on base until the council comes to the decision on what to do with them, that also meant they couldn't go after Taskmaster and save Julie.
"After all we've done, this is how we're thanked!" Metabee yelled out, pacing around on the table,
Ava was sitting on a chair, leaning her left elbow on the table, cupping her chin in her hand, with a frustrated expression, "We put our lives on the line countless times, yet the people on our side chose to blame us for something out of our control." Ava added, in a cold tone of voice,
Kaikaina angrily kicks a chair out of her way, "And they have the gull to tell us that saving Julie isn't top priority!" She yelled out,
A-Bomb was leaning his back against the wall, arms crossed, with a grim and depressed expression, as he's taking Julie getting captured the hardest.
Inside Fury's office, Nick was arguing with the World Defense Council, as they were on the holoscreen, as Washington and Centorea were present.
'Our decision is sound, Director Fury,' One of the council member told Nick with a straight face,
But Nick had an annoyed expression, "And I'm saying that it's a stupid decision, my team is the best equip to handle this threat." He told them,
'We're done letting children handle matters of grave important, Director Fury, as soon as you pinpoint Taskmaster's location; we want you to send an army to take him and his whole operation down.' Another member of the council explained to them,
Centorea now looked concerned, knowing that sending an army would absolutely spell many lives lost, "Members of the council, an approach like that; we should reconsider an alternative plan of action." Centorea pleaded with the council,
'Agent, the men and woman of S.H.I.E.L.D. are prepared to lay their lives down for the greater good; everyone knows that's at stake, best to remind that to yourself.' A council member to Centorea bitterly,
That comment angered the centaur, making her clench her fists and glaring at the council.
Washington took a step forward, "The plan is just, but we should take this time to regroup, we don't know what's going to come out of that gateway, the rational thing would be preparing for what comes after." Wash explained,
'We've wasting enough time on this little pet project of yours, Director Fury, prepare all the heavily armed Helicarriers for battle, we have a world to save, and even more importantly, a Universe...' Another council member ordered Nick, in a serious look, before the hologram turns off,
"I hate those pencil pushers..." Centorea said, annoyed,
"You and me both..." Nick agreed with her, with a serious scowl on his face.
Meanwhile, back in the conference room, the team was silent, each of them didn't have anything to say, until suddenly, a knock came from the window, getting everyone's attention, A-Bomb then walks towards the window, opening the curtains, A-Bomb's eyes widen in shock, as on the other side of the window, was Randy, who was sitting on Ninjor's cloud, giving A-Bomb a calm smile.
"If you guys are itching to take down Taskmaster, then follow me..." Randy tells A-Bomb and the others,
Meanwhile, in a void of total darkness, suddenly, a pair of piercing, glowing red eyes open...
