A large group of people are assembled in Lucy and Lincoln's mansion in the movie theater.
"Hello everyone this is going to be our biggest Halloween so far. Now for the newcomers to this event We have purchased 500 full-size candy bars. It is your job to protect them by scaring away trick-or-treaters. Every one of them that gets through gets an increasing number of candy bars. If they are number one they get one candy bar but if they are number 5 they get five Candy bars. The next day is day of the dead any candy that is left behind is distributed. Now any candy that is dropped is fair game. You cannot kill anyone or hurt them." Said Lincoln
"But The public doesn't need to know that. We know some of you have been working already on this project but now everyonec should. Have fun making the woods terrifying my beloved children and siblings. Lupa." Said Lucy
"Ok so over the past year the twins and loach have been mounting hardware in the woods. So the first stage will be readying the traps. We have acquired a bunch of dummies for Leni and spider silk. so you will need to start dressing them and getting them ready. In addition other special effects need to be ready such as fog machines. Break up into groups and get to dressing the mannequin" Said Lupa
The assembled group broke up into different teams. Rita and Lynn go up to Lincoln and Lucy.
"Why don't you give out just a set amount of candy? this seems a little complicated."asked Rita
"We used to. But we discovered that if you do it this way children are more likely to have more candy in their bags later in the night. and what is dropped is fair game" Said Lucy
" why don't your kids just go get their own candy?" Said Lynn
" they used to, but well they terrify a lot of people. And some of them take trick or treat very seriously. Lupa and Liadan once put sugar in someone's gas tank just because they refused to give them candy. So this is safer for the community." Said Lincoln
" Plus they get a lot of enjoyment in Terrorizing the populace." Said Lucy
" remember the mazes you used to put together?" Said Rita
"oh yes those experiences spawn this tradition." Said Lucy in a happy monotone.
"So Lincoln usually gives out the candy and I pretend to suck his blood. So what do you want to do, I know father is going to be in the panic room." Said Lucy
"Panic room?" Said Lynn
"Yes reinforced against everything. Biological, radiological, ghosts, demons and explosives." Said Lincoln
"Oh ok that is ware I will go. can I go in there now?" Said Lynn
"Yes" Lucy grabbing a concealed lever. He made his way hesitantly down there.
"So mom how do you want to terrify?" Said Lincoln
"how about a witch like an evil one." Said Rita
"we don't even have to leave the house. Or this room." Said Lucy She handed her mom a which's Hat and rob. All of the sudden there was a scream.
"What is the matter dearest Grandfather." Said LeeLee
" nothing it's OK. You just look like grandmother Harriet." Said Lynn
"she is haunting me today. It is Opet and we are going to do something together today." Said LeeLee
Lynn eyes are darting back-and-forth violently in pure terror.
"sorry Grandma." Said Lynn running off.
" what was that about? But " Said LeeLee
"Don't try Honey she refuses to answer." Said Lucy
"I know what happened. Harriet It is time" Said Rita she cleared her throat. "As a Child Lynn opened a book he shouldn't have. It gave him nightmares. According to him Harriet broke the curse. But when October rolls around they start again."
"Oh that book. Opening that is not a good idea without proper instruction." Said LeeLee looking to her side. "Oh Book of shadows and the arcade" Replying to everyone's questioning look.
Everyone goes back to there preparations.
