The Chronicles Of Kaurava: Part II

A Confrontation With Destiny (trailer)

This is the grand prelude to an epic fanfiction showdown that I wanted to take time crafting, while doing my research on how to make good fight scenes in literature, as well as miscellaneous Warhammer and Avatar Lore.

Aside from that, the chief reason I haven't uploaded in so long is because I've recently been dealing with serious bouts of depression in real life, in addition to writer's block and procrastination.

I'm still going to stick around on this site, though, in case I am able to get back in the mood for writing. I do have fun doing this when I can, after all.

In the last chapter, we saw the Four Nations dragged into an armed conflict with a country that they didn't even know existed, while a new ideology of world unity began to spread like wildfire across the globe as a consequence. Meanwhile, a towering demigod standing out from the rest of humanity brashly disobeyed the orders of his superiors, and put the matters of winning the war into his own hands.

Krishna believed that getting rid of the Avatar in the same manner as dealing with an annoying insect would be enough to force the world to comply with a global government.

Let's just say that he wasn't ready for the tricks Aang had up his sleeve...

Outside the walls of Ba Sing Se, which had been rebuilt and fortified, stronger than ever, in preparation for another potential global conflict, the Primarch Krishna, the Spirit of Unity, stared down his greatest rival, the current incarnation of the Avatar, Aang of the Air Nomads.

"So, I've finally found you. The one person with the power to maintain balance in the world. The master of all four elements. It didn't take very long for me to recognize that you were the biggest threat to my society's plans... unfortunately, my masters did not see you as a problem worth their time. But none of that matters. Your friends are all tied up in faraway places, occupied by the chaos my allies are causing. Which leaves you with just two options: Yield, and let us build a better future for humanity, or pay the ultimate price."

Aang stoically stood his ground. He had seen a lot over the years, and went up against many dangerous foes, from the demonic Face-Stealer Koh, to the genocidal Fire Lord Ozai himself, all while trying his best to do a job that he didn't want, but the world needed him to perform nonetheless.

Yet he didn't give up on his pacifist instincts, instilled in him since a young age, from being raised as a monk. He gave the ruthless, godlike outlander a chance to walk away, and find a way to bring humanity together that didn't involve waging any kind of war.

"You have the choice to end this here and now. Return to your masters, and inform them that we do not need to fight. The world will not agree to be unified by force. It is immoral and wicked to sacrifice innocent lives for a so-called greater good. The Four Nations were meant to be just that, you see! Four! Perhaps humanity will come together, but it will take time- you must have patience!"

Krishna stood still, silent for a brief moment, considering the Avatar's proposal. Then, shaking his head, he gave Aang the full revelation of his unwavering beliefs.

"You are indeed wise, Avatar, and you have well-placed faith in the inherent capacity for good that mankind has. But you are blind to the unpleasant truth. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish. You may strive for balance, but chaos is always one step away... a more direct approach is needed to guide civilization on the right path. Requiring the greatest change, the likes of which this world has never seen. Because, the truth is..."

"There will be no true unity or peace without a sacrifice in blood."

"Those evils, those deadly sins... deceit, greed, betrayal, wrath, war, and shame... THEY ARE INEVITABLE."

"So our hard decisions must be made! In the end, it will all be worth it. A world under one banner will be more prosperous and selfless than anything before."

"You had your chance, Avatar Aang. Ready your blade, for your strength will be tested to the utmost limit! You will fight for what you stand for, or FALL BY MY COMMAND!"

-CHAPTER TO BE CONTINUED-

Simply put, I was trying to make a good, dramatic piece of dialogue between a Primarch and the Avatar. Something that would carry a lot of weight and meaning to it.

The epic fight scene is still in the works, too, since I've just begun watching some tutorials on how to make those more entertaining and impactful.

By the time I get to the turning point of the story where the burgeoning Imperium of Man (and its enemies) inevitably discover the world of Avatar, I'll need to plan the part of this crossover which involves creating an encyclopedia about the exploits of the Second Legion of Space Marines, the Spirit Wardens, who will use Kaurava as their new headquarters, recruiting from the best Benders and Non-Benders alike.

And what will happen when the God-Emperor meets Krishna? The reunion will probably be the peak of this current storyline, at least that's all I know.

Feel free to suggest possibilities or criticize me, I'm seeking advice to be a better writer.

As a last side note, I also need to finish watching the Avatar live-action Netflix remake... it's been a while since I've seen an episode.

Stay around for more! ...I just felt like a cliffhanger would be nice for now.
