No Such Luck...or Destiny's Deceit?

Ch 14: Whispers of Sympathy

Later, Lincoln released his hug with Sammy, and he pats the 7-year-old's head. Henry and Valerie smiled at each other, and turned back to Lincoln.

Valerie then told her husband, "Seems like it was Chandler's fault for making Lincoln angry, ain't it, Henry?"

"It's Chandler's fault." Henry cracked his knuckles. "If I see that kid, I'm gonna beat him so hard, his parents will wish they never did the no-no with each other."

"Alright, Henry." Valerie giggled. "We don't want to garner questions from our kids, do we?"

"Oh yeah, Sammy is here." The father of the Emily family said, rubbing the back of his head. "He's too young to know about, you know, how we made them?" He said to his wife.

The mother of the Emily family said to her husband while nudging his arm. "Don't talk about it."

The Emily family and Lincoln were done eating breakfast, and then they began fixing themselves up.

Soon after Henry washed the dishes, Valerie turned off all appliances running in the house, and locked the door. They got in the car, and sped off on the way to school.

Later, they arrived at school. Henry and Valerie waved them goodbye before speeding off to work.

They head into the halls, and they saw Roberto and Lori waiting for them as they walked by.

"Hola hermano." Roberto smiled. "Que paso?"

"Hey Roberto, what's up?" Lincoln greeted back.

Lori looked down. "Hey, Lincoln?"

"What is it, Lori?"

"Do you forgive us for being total tontos during the mala suerte fiasco? Lori and I totally regretted going along with the fact you have mala suerte, even passing you off as someone no importante…" Roberto said, shifting his posture.

Lincoln thought of it carefully, and after a few minutes of tension…

"I forgive you, Roberto and Lori." Lincoln smiled.

Roberto and Lori teared up, and they wrapped Lincoln in their embrace.

"Gracias, hermano…" Roberto smiled through his own tears.

Lori hugged her brother even tighter, as small tears formed in her eyes.

Lincoln hugged the couple duo even tighter, rekindling his bond with them. Charlotte and Sammy smiled heartfelt, though the 7-year-old still showed his hostility towards the Loud sisters.

The bell rang, Lori wiped her tears and so did Roberto.

"Ah, vamos…" Roberto slumped his posture. "Escuela…"

"Alright, Roberto." Lincoln chuckled. "Let's go to class, we don't want our teachers to chew us out for being tardy."

"Claro." The American-Mexican responded. "Vamos, todos, we don't want to ruin our attendance records, do we?"

Everyone quickly sped off to their classes, not liking the thought of their teacher scolding them.

Lincoln got into his classroom, and he heard the typical distinct chatting of his classmates. Fritz, his new seatmate, was waiting for him in his table.

"Hey, Lincoln." Fritz said, waiting for him in his table.

"What's up, Fritz?" Lincoln said, sitting down in his table. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine, thanks." Fritz said to his seatmate. "By the way, I found out about what your family did to you, and it was despicable."

"I know." The 11-year-old Loud told him. "I've forgiven some of them."

"That's nice." The ginger-haired lad smiled. "By the way, do you want to be friends?" He held out his hand.

Lincoln replied as he shook hands with Fritz. "Friends."

The two boys did their fist-bump, Ronalda watched from her seat while smiling.

The pains of school had started, everyone were now imprisoned in their classrooms. They listened to their teacher's explanations about their lessons for the day, boredom and irritation were on their faces as they sat in their chairs doing absolutely nothing.

The lunch bell rang, and everyone rejoiced as they stampeded to the cafeteria. Lincoln decided to lunch with his new and old friends, Ronalda, Clyde, Cassidy, and Fritz. Daniel was there sitting with them.

"Pineapple Boy?" Fritz said, eating his lunch. "Cassie used to call you that?"

"Yes, she did." Lincoln replied. "I got over it, and we're friends now."

"Daniel was the one I got infeected by." Cassidy said to them. "And by infected, I don't mean getting sick or turning into a zombie. I started learning from him, and I ended up pissing Lincoln off with that one." She giggled.

"Don't learn from Daniel, he's always up to no good." Ronalda said to the 11-year-old girl.

"I'm good now, don't treat me as some sort of villain!" Daniel said, irritated.

"Alright, alright, Daniel." Lincoln said, continuing eating. "You're good now, but you're still not off the hook."

Later that day…

Everyone went back to their classes, and dealt with being enclosed in their classrooms for another 4 hours. The final bell rang later in the afternoon, signaling everyone that they can go home.

They quickly get into the bus, except Lincoln, he was fetched by Henry and Valerie along with their biological children.

They arrived at the Emily residence, and they laid down on the sofa, seeming exhausted from that trip home from school.

Henry and Valerie were in their home outfits, and they sat down on the couch seats.

Lincoln shifted his position, leaning towards Sammy.

"Lincoln?" Sammy called out.

The preteen turned his eyes to meet the little boy.

"Can you tell us why you hate Chandler so much, so much that you had to beat him up?" Asked the 7-year-old.

Lincoln cleared his throat. "I hate Chandler, because he did so many bad deeds towards me and others. One example, he used ME to get free stuff at Gus' and not inviting me to his stupid party…"

Henry then shifted his posture abruptly. "What ELSE did that little brat do?"

"He bullies me at school, often calling me 'Lincoln Lame', he's always with his stupid lame-ass friends. They even mocked me and threw an acorn at me, those bastards think they're so..." Lincoln stood up and kicked the wall as he said. "…SUPERIOR! Who am I to them? Their PAWN? And then they think THEY'RE the kings who get all the treasure to themselves?"

"I'll deal with his parents when I get the chance." Henry said, laying back in his seat.

"When I get my hands on that little idiot…" Valerie said, angry. "…I swear, I'm going to turn him into—"

"Alright, Mom." Charlotte said to her mother. "Put the hostilities aside, you too, Lincoln."

Valerie and Lincoln dispelled their rage, and they sat down. Henry still laid back in his seat, thinking of how to get his word to Chandler's stupid dumb-ass parents.

To be continued in Ch 15…

A/N: I know this is rushed, but I promise that I'm going to plan a longer chapter next. By the way, I know that No Such Luck has left a bad taste in your mouth since 2017, now I have some two ideas I want to showcase in the next chapter, the first is Lincoln running into William and Olivia on the way, and the second, Chandler plans his revenge scheme on Lincoln with Daniel, but Daniel betrays him.

That's all I can tell you, and peace out. I'll get to work on chapter fifteen ASAP.
