Here's my first interlude chapter. It takes a little longer for me to make an interlude chapter than doing the reactions to the episodes because there's so much going on with the characters' talent and their development. Also, I wanted to share the breaking news once again the shooting that happened in Illinois. Six immigrants were shot dead and twenty-eight were injured which it was horrifying for all of us to hear. It just goes to show that the world we live in isn't a safe place. Not everywhere in the world is safe. There are some nefarious lunatics out there who intend to go far and beyond just to enjoy doing of what they consider in their mind to be fun, thrill of the kill, who knows. In addition, some human beings are deprived of social connections. Meaning, the studies tend to hateful or violent, even legitimately insane. That's why we have to stay safe not just from COVID-19 but also the lunatics.
That's all I have to say for now, enjoy the interlude chapter.

After watching 8 episodes of Death Battle so far, the Ultimate students, teachers, the branch leaders of the Future Foundation, the Warriors of Hope, Usami, Monokuma and the Monokubs were experiencing their new life in school of Hope's Peak Academy as well as living close to Jabberwock Island and the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. It was truly a miracle for the students and the teachers as they were now relieve that the horrifying nightmare that strike upon humanity was over. The ones who were on the side of despair, the ones who doesn't yearn for any kind of future, their personalities' had been rehabilitated including Junko and Tsumugi. For hosting the killing games 53 times, for causing the biggest most awful most tragic event in human history, to make the world meet its demise. All of the events was now undone. Never again that the world will fall into ruins, not just the students and the teachers of Hope's Peak, but also everyone else to go through that kind of hell. As they could now hope for the better by believing to each other. To form a strong mental bond and using their talents for the greater good in the future. Even the ones who intended to murder their classmates died failing must atone for their sins.
"*Sigh* Feels good for things to finally go back to normal, don't you agree Kyosuke?" Chisa asked
"Yes, the madness of despair may be over for now. However, my mind speaks differently and that the war against despair will rise again sooner or later and if that happens, then I will be the one to exterminated them along with my allies if it ever occurs to us again." Kyosuke noted
"Hmph, You're sharp as a needle. Always foreshadowing the facts." Juzo commented
"Still though, even after we achieve our goals, I wonder what else is there to do besides focusing on our own talents." Chisa pondered
"Hmm... that is a good question. I'm not so sure myself either... questions like that can be a like a lever we use to pry open a stuck lid on a paint can." Kyosuke replied
"There's so much to plan for in the future." Kazuo concurred
"I don't have the neck into answering that. All I can say is keep living until we carved a new path." Juzo suggested
"You know, it's not about just achieving our dreams, it's about how we can lead life to greatness. If we can lead life to the right way, the karma will take care of itself and our dreams will come to us all." Kazuo reassured
"Can't argue with that." Chisa replied nodded
Makoto was hanging out at the front entrance of Hope's Peak Academy thinking of what else he can do in the future as the Ultimate Lucky Student. An interesting tough question that he thought to himself. What could luck even do into helping others? He took one good look at the school and considers to himself as a normal high school student who just got lucky as all for being accepted in Hope's Peak Academy.
"I can't believe that I'm still here in Hope's Peak Academy. Not to mention that it's close to the beach of Jabberwock Island and the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. I am the Ultimate Hope after all. Although, I'm not even sure what to do with my other talent. How can my luck do anything into helping my friends carry on their goals and improving their talents? I mean, a person's own luck can only affect on them. Even I were to encouraged them and tell them 'good luck', I doubt it would change anything for them. I supposed that spreading hope onto others is the only method that matters the most. The hope that I treasured with from the bottom of my heart. As long as I keep believing in hope, I will keep moving forward towards my dream. That is the path that I craved for myself!" Makoto stated as he noticed Kyoko walking past by him.
"Huh? Kyoko...? Where are you going?" Makoto wondered
"Nowhere special. I came out here from the headmaster's room." Kyoko responded
"The headmaster's room? Could it be..." Makoto wondered
"It's for work. I can't really talk about it in detail." Kyoko informed
"Huh? It's for... work? Hmm... I've been wondering Kyoko, but is headmaster Kirigiri your...?" Makoto asked, genuinely curious.
"And just what do you intend to do with that information?" Kyoko asked
"What do I-? I was just curious is all." Makoto replied
"You're curious about me?" Kyoko queried
"Yeah, I know you don't like talking about yourself, but we're in the same class so... I want us to learn about each other and become better friends." Makoto noted
"Hm... in that case, I'll answer your question then. My surname is uncommon, so it's natural you'd think that. The headmaster of Hope's Peak just so happens to be my father." Kyoko conceded
"So he's your father after all. That's amazing... the headmaster of Hope's Peak and his daughter, an Ultimate student, working together." Makoto responded
"The fact that we're related doesn't matter. It's natural for a detective to take on cases. Even as family members, we only talk about work." Kyoko explained
"What?" Makoto quizzed
"My father left me when I was little, so there's nothing that we have to talk about." Kyoko asserted
"Is that so? There's really nothing in detail that you want to talk to him about? I'm sure there are some things he wants to say to you." Makoto said
"I doubt it..." Kyoko refuted
"How can you be so sure into knowing that? Have you ever asked him?" Makoto queried
"I have no reason to waste my time confirming that. I don't think anything of him." Kyoko informed as Makoto thought about it for a moment.
"Sorry, I must've said too much, so I can assume you regret asking me now..." Kyoko said
"No, that's not true. I'm actually glad that you told me. It's probably something you wouldn't talk about with just anyone, right? In fact, I'd like you to tell more about yourself if that's okay with you." Makoto reasoned
"If you insist, then I might as well..." Kyoko responded
"We should also count our blessings as well now that our world is saved after everything that we've been through. The killing games, the tragic event of human history, the whole world falling to ruins. The suspect who undid it all saved our lives. Miracles do intend to happen at anytime, don't you think?" Makoto informed
"I agree, yes. Truth be told, it never crossed my mind. The most significant fact that a person should know is to believe in your heart and never stop believing in hope because miracles happens everything as long as you believe. At least that's something you would said Makoto." Kyoko stated
"Right!" Makoto replied with a smile.
Leon was sitting down on a desk table minding his own business.
"Man, that 'Death Battle' show is pretty damn entertaining alright especially with some hot chicks in it like the pop-star girl cat Felicia, and Samus in her power suit. Heh heh, the show itself is only the beginning and later in some episodes, I bet they're adding even more kickass chicks on the list." Leon smirked, already anticipating the later episodes that includes female fighters.
"Yo Leon, can you come here for a sec?" Mondo asked
"Okay, but for what? Did I do something wrong?" Leon wondered
"No. I just want to listen to me alright. Hey! You got a problem with that or something?!" Mondo shouted
"Wh-What do you want from me dude?!" Leon worried
"Sorry dude, my bad. I didn't know what to say, so I just yelled..." Mondo remarked
"I guess you're more used to yelling, huh? But damn, you got me freaked out there for a sec. That might be cool with your gang, but it'll scare off some girls, don'tcha think?" Leon quizzed as Mondo got baffled
"Oh, now that I mentioned it, can you even get chicks?" Leon wondered
"Honestly... when I get nervous, I start yelling, so I mess up when I try to confess to girls." Mondo explained
"Huh? Is that what happened? Then the reason you yelled at me cuz you were nervous?" Leon coaxed
"O-Of course I was! No way I ask for an advice when I'm all smiling and shit!" Mondo ranted
"A-Advice!? That's how you ask for advice when you're shouting!?" Leon queried
"Like I said, my bad! That was not my intention!" Mondo replied
"*Sigh* Well, whatever. I don't feel like getting mad at you or anything. But hey, you've got a good eye picking me to asked me for that kind of advice. I'm used to both confessing and being confessed to. So if there's anything that chu need, ask me and I can help you out with your problem man!" Leon advised
"What, really?! Thanks so much man! I promise I'll return the favor to you, no matter what!" Mondo exclaimed
Usami was relived to see Akane waking up from her sleep, groaned after taking a beating.
"Ow...dammit!" Akane grumbled
"A-Akane, you're awake! Are you alright?!" Usami asked
"Huh? Why am I sleeping here?" Akane wondered, confused
"You were training with Nekomaru. He did a serious number on you, so you shouldn't be so reckless." Usami informed
"Oh, now I remembered. Coach Nekomaru roughed me up for a bit and knock me out good! I gotta hand it to him." Akane conceded
"Hey Akane, I made some extra large rice ball which is a team manager's special. You want some?" Nekomaru asked, offering her some as the size of his fist.
"Rice ball?! Heh, don't mind if I do!" Akane exclaimed, already chewing up the rice ball.
"Waaah! How were you able to make a rice ball the size of your fist so fast Nekomaru!?" Usami asked, curiously
"Gah-hahaha! You guys gonna eat well, that's for sure. If you don't eat well then you can't build your body." Nekomaru stated
"I know. I just gotta keep eating more, that way for sure I'll be able to beat you and Sakura." Akane said
"Hmph, you'll have to beat me first, a simple team manger and if you don't, then you don't stand a chance against Sakura." Nekomaru assured
"A-Akane... you wanna challenge Sakura?" Usami asked
"Well duh! There no way in hell that I'm backing down from a fight when there's a strong opponent is right in front of me!" Akane replied
"Sometimes, it's good to get knocked down a peg by a huge rival. Especially for people like her." Nekomaru remarked
"When I fight you or Sakura... I get very motivated when I lose. Like a fire burns inside of me that pushes me to get even stronger and next time I'll definitely win!" Akane asserted
"Akane, for once... I wasn't too sure if I stood by and watch you get beat up again. But now, I come to realize that this is something you have to do. Improving your abilities by fighting and becoming the best gymnast." Usami said
"Don't worry Usami. As a team manager, I'll be the one looking after Akane." Nekomaru said
"Okie-dokie, I shall leave it to you then and watch over the both of you. But next time, please train outside. The gym's wall are full of dents." Usami suggested, as she leave them both in the gym.
"Akane, I got a quick question that I've been meaning to ask you." Nekomaru said
"Shoot..." Akane replied
"About the web show we just recently watched, the show called 'Death Battle'. What do you think of the show? Do you find enjoyable or anything or what?" Nekomaru asked
"Coach, that show was out of this world! The one episode I enjoyed watching was the wrestling episode between Haggar and Zangief, that one was my favorite so far." Akane exclaimed
"Hmph, I do have to admit it, some shits out there have to respect the wrestlers especially the ones who built up their bodies." Nekomaru stated
In a classroom, Himiko was hanging out with Angie while her eyes were shut, praying for the one and only god that Angie firmly believes in is of course Atua.
"Nyahahaha, all done praying! I can hear Atua loud and clear today, too!" Angie considered
"Nyeeeh... how passionate." Himiko spoke
"Do you wish to pray as well Himiko? It will put your mind at ease." Angie asked
"No... I don't feel like doing so." Himiko replied
"I see... you still haven't feel Atua's presence. Don't worry, I will pray for you so your mind can be cleansed and you can feel Atua's loving embrace." Angie verified
"If you want to think about it that way, then I won't do anything to stop you." Himiko said
"You are correct for not stopping me because Atua is always correct." Angie remarked
"Nyeh... did Atua told you so for praying for me?" Himiko asked
"Huhhhh? What do you mean Himiko?" Angie wondered
"I mean that if you decide on your choice on your own free will." Himiko reasoned
"Hmmmm... Atua has spoken. He said that I must pray for a friend and if my friend converts, she and I will receive double points.?" Angie suggested
"Nyeeeh... I guess that's the deal then." Himiko replied
"Right?! Right?! So divine isn't it Himiko?!" Angie asked, happily that she agreed
Outside of the school, Hajime was waiting patiently for a little while.
"It's crazy that Hope's Peak, Jabberwock Island and Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles are together in the same spot. I know I've see strange things that has been happened lately, but this phenomenon was blatantly out of this world." Hajime stated
"Oh Hajime, you actually waited for me weren't you? Sorry that I took a while." Chiaki said, softly
"No it's nothing, don't worry about it. Did something happen? I heard something about the homeroom..." Hajime noted
"Yeah, it was the usual. Akane and Nekomaru started their intense workouts during class." Chiaki replied
"Oh yeah, I can picture that. The classroom must have been a mess. and they almost broke the whole room down. That's just *the usual* thing for you? That kind of thing never happens in the reverse course, otherwise the students would expelled." Hajime admitted
"It's always chaotic, but also fun too." Chiaki stated
"That sounds pretty bad. I know that everyone is relying on your help too..." Hajime declared
"Well that's not true at all, no one actually relies on me because I decided to help everyone." Chiaki informed
"That is why they rely on you cuz you're like the cinnamon roll student." Hajime commented
"I'm positive that everyone relies on you too, Hajime." Chiaki attested
"Huh? Really?" Hajime wondered
"Yeah, take Fuyuhiko for instance, when you and him first met, he didn't get along with you at first, but as time past, he seems to be taking a liking to you, and Hiyoko grew pretty attached to you and ver since you started talking to Nagito, I feel like he's been warming us up. And Mikan looks happy when you're there supporting her. That goes for everyone else, too. That's why they're relying on you because you helped push their motivations into being what they can be." Chiaki assured
"The people around me are pretty unique. It just feels easier for me to talk to them." Hajime clarified
"It's more fun when you're with them, Hajime." Chiaki approved
"You're right... it does feel more fun to me when I'm spending time with my friends. I should be the one thanking you because you brought us together, Chiaki. If it wasn't for you, I would have never met them." Hajime replied
"You think so?" Chiaki wondered
"Hm?" Hajime responded, confused
"Even if I wasn't there, I'm sure you would've met the others. And they would rely on you, like usual." Chiaki said
"Chi-Chiaki..." Hajime replied, worried
"Just kidding. But that is how I see when everyone is around you, Hajime." Chiaki maintained
"When they're around me, huh? Sometimes I feel more like I'm getting dragged along with them..." Hajime speculated
"Hey, we should hold a game tournament, and go out somewhere with everyone again. I can't imagine hanging out with everyone without you there." Chiaki suggested
"Sounds good to me... call me whenever you're ready." Hajime replied
"Okay! So, what kind of game are you determined to play today Hajime? Puzzle? Fighting? Or do you want to try with your hands by playing a rhythm game?" Chiaki asked
"Let's see... I did practice playing a fighting game from last week. So I'm calling it, a fighting game! I'm definitely more of a match for you now. What do you think?" Hajime challenged
"Oh, sounds good. I'm up for that challenge! And Hajime, one quick question I've wanted to ask you." Chiaki said
"Yeah... what is it?" Hajime wondered
"About the 'Death Battle' web show we just watched, what do you think of the show? Do you find it interesting or something?" Chiaki asked
"Hmm... the episodes we just recently watched, the show was not bad, but the research they did on the characters seems off... like there's more to uncover while analyzing the combatants." Hajime claimed
"You're not off-based... the show just recently started, so later on in the show, their research would become more accurate in a way." Chiaki added
"That is definitely the case here. Oh, I also have a question about you, are you the real Chiaki or are you an A.I?" Hajime replied and asked
"What am I? Well, the universe has been reset and combined the real human of me and my A.I into one, so I'm techinally both as a matter of fact. I remember everything when you, me and the rest of our classmates were trapped inside the Neo World Program when we were forced into playing the killing game. Nagito exposes me as the traitor because I was a member of the Future Foundation to infiltrate you guys, not to mention, I was an A.I. And as a human being, I remember that I walked into a maze filled with traps and when I reach the goal, I thought I finally get to see you guys, but the room I walked in was also a trap, but deadly and I got stabbed everywhere. I remember everything, both human and A.I and techinally. Chiaki explained
"I see, being both of the two, you've remembered all of those memories of the time you experience and no matter what happens, you're always going to be the same Chiaki that me and everyone else knows. Always have. Always will be. At least that's what I think." Hajime noted
"I'm glad to hear that... well I'll see you later then Hajime." Chiaki said, as they both departed ways.
Near by the ocean, Komaru and Toko were looking at the beautiful view far and wide.
"Wow, the ocean is pretty alright! We can swim around for a while and then build a bunch of sand castles and oh Toko! The bar has some shaved ice! What kind of flavor do you want?" Komaru commented and asked the Ultimate Writing Prodigy.
"You're getting all too worked up by this scene. What are you, a puppy on on a walk?" Toko asked
"Says you, but there's plenty to be excited about here. Going on a field trip to a tropical island virtual world with Ultimates is unfathomable to me! Also, it's my first trip to go out with you Toko." Komaru assured
"Th-That's right, it's my first time with friends. And... my first school event with friends as well. Whoa whoa whoa hold on, now you're going to get me all excited about this trip too." Toko noted
"Ooh, you're feeling the excitement now, huh?" Komaru teased
"Quit your teasing... Come on, let's go ahead and get us some shaved ice that you wanted right?" Toko asked
"You bet! Let's get frosty! Let's see, the flavors are... blue lime, hyuganatsu, pistachio, peach, dragonfruit..." Komaru exclaimed, counting the list of flavor
"That's an odd selection... who's responsible for this?" Toko wondered
"Oh I see! Those are the colors of the Monokubs!" Blue, yellow, green, pink and red...ish!" Komaru pointed out the colors of the shaved ice flavors.
"Ah... I see. What a shame that they deviated from the tried-and-true standard just for that." Toko asserted
"I've never had any of these flavors in shaved ice. Wanna order different ones and share you and me, Toko?" Komaru asked
"Huh? Share? As in like sharing a room or sharing a bicycle? Toko gasped
"Something like that. We order different flavors and then split them, fifty fifty!" Komaru suggested
"Urgh... this is too high concept for me! Is this a typical thing among friends!?" Toko rasped
"That's true, friends often do that when eating together... but we don't have to do so you know if any case you're too uncomfortable about this!" Komaru said
"N-No... it's fine. I'll just do it anyways. This is just another thing for me and I need to get used it to anyways." Toko said
"Oh good, then let's share all sorts of stuff during our stay and go through the entire beach hut menu! I'm sure you'll get used to it if we keep at it, Toko." Komaru exclaimed
"Y-You mean we're going to do things like that all the time? I guess there's no end to this field trip then." Toko speculated
Inside a classroom, Kaede approached her close classmate Shuichi for a quick conversation.
"Hey Shuichi...do you have a minute?" Kaede asked
"Sure. What's wrong?" Shuichi replied
"Well, I'm gonna be performing a piano recital at a big hall next month. So...if you don't mind, are you willing to come and see my performance when I give this to you?" Kaede asked, handing Shuichi a ticket
"A ticket?" Shuichi wondered
"Yeah, I'd be happy if you came. Oh, you don't have to go out of your way to see it if you're too busy right now!" Kaede said
"No, I'll definitely go! I want to see you." Shuichi responded
"Huh? See me? You're not gonna see my piano performance?" Kaede puzzled
"Yes, I want to see you play the piano. Did I say something strange?" Shuichi questioned
"Oh, I see what you meant... don't worry about it. Feel free to come watch me perform." Kaede soothed, smiling
"This will be my first classical concert. I'm so excited to see your performance. Oh and that reminds me... what should I wear for the performance? My school uniform or something elegant?" Shuichi approved and asked
"That's totally fine! You'll be sitting down for a while, so you should be wearing comfortable clothes. You're more than welcome to ask me anything! I know it's a bit nerve-wracking since it's your first time." Kaede suggested
"Okay, I might have some more questions for you after school tomorrow..." Shuichi replied
"Alright! Like I said, just ask me anything!" Kaede exclaimed
"I will... ah, I forgot to thank you. Thank you for inviting me to your performance Kaede." Shuichi thanked
"No problem! I hope you enjoy yourself. I have a lot of songs that I want you to hear, Shuichi." Kaede asserted
"I'm looking forward to it. Not to mention the promise that I made for you during the first class trail when Tsumugi framed you for Rantaro's murderer..." Shuichi asked as Kaede nodded
"Yes, I am really glad of you for keeping the promise that you swear you would protect everyone by any means after I was executed by Monokuma. If I didn't have someone like you who would grant my wish, I don't know what I can do without you. I would have never get the chance by living a happy lifetime in school with our classmates." Kaede conceded
"The feelings mutual. For me, I'm still just an apprentice and not a real detective even after solving through murder cases. However, there are times when despair has gotten me overwhelmed and I'm back in the corner, the spirit of my heart tends to tear me up apart when I have nothing left to say for my defense because I feel weak. That is when I heard someone's voice and the voice urges me to keep pressing on and talking back and to never give up on myself. It's my friends of which they made me strong and continue to keep fighting back and it was all thanks to not just you, but every survivors of our classmates who has died including Kaito, they're the reasons why I am alive." Shuichi explained
"Ha ha ha... it seems you and Kaito grew very close to each other even after you two went through some bad times." Kaede stated
"Yeah..." Shuichi replied
Junko and Tsumugi, the former masterminds of the killing games, were out in front of Gifted Juveniles academy, as they stood silent for a moment.
"*Sigh, The air feels different now of the way it should be." Tsumugi spoke out first
"Ugh, you can tell me so much about it sister. To me, it feels all sooo boring and predictable." Junko responded
"However, I am still plain ashamed because of my sins." Tsumugi muttered
"Hm, you and me both and trust me... this is our one ticket-to-hell for doing this sort of crap by hosting the killing games." Junko gulped
"Our option now is to work for the better by entrusting each other and hope for the better. That's something our classmates would say to us." Tsumugi speculated
"*Sigh* you're right and I'm sorry for getting you involved with all this despair..." Junko apologized
"And I'm sorry for taking the path to darkness..." Tsumugi also apologized
"So, does that make us friends now?" Junko asked
"When we apologized to each other and for our sins then yes. We are now friends." Tsumugi assured
THE NEXT DAY, THEATER ROOM
Everyone was gathered in the theater once again to resume watching Death Battle with some having food, drinks, and snacks to be ready for some more bloodshed matches.
"Yeah heh heh! Back again in the theater with some more hardcore matches!" Akane exclaimed
"You're not the only one who has ants in their pants.." Monokuma joined in too
"Sounds like they're bouncing off the walls." Sonia stated
"Very fitting to described someone's excitement." Kazuichi replied
"Alright, let's continue on with the next match." Kazuo announced, as he pressed the play button
Alright, that's the first interlude chapter. I uploaded this today because it was my birthday and I'm 21 years old. There is no turning back in human life as time keeps moving forward and that's just how the world works.
I might come back to this with some more editing, so let me of what do you guys think.
Until next time. Peace!
