It was a beautiful morning at Camp Wawanakwa. People were swimming, some were reading, and others were sitting and talking. Everybody was doing something, except for the time-traveler. He was spending his morning in bed, wondering about the future he was writing.

"Could I prevent Zeke from being feral?" he thought. "Did I already do that by accident? And what about Sierra? Maybe I can find a way for her to not bother me."

His thoughts were interrupted by more sobbing from Katie. As much pity as Cody felt for her, he was starting to get tired of her constant cries. It was the morning after her best friend had been eliminated, so it was only natural that she still felt sad. Bridgette was trying to comfort her, but it was clearly a fruitless effort. The noise finally got to Cody, so he decided to store his thoughts away for the moment and try to find somewhere else on the island that wasn't flooded with wailing.

Looking around the camp, Cody tried to find someone to have a conversation with. He eventually landed on Noah being a safe bet to talk to. He approached the egghead, who was currently sitting on a tree stump, reading a novel.

"Hey, Noah. How's it hanging?" Cody asked.

"It's going fine," Noah curtly responded.

"So, uh, what're you reading?" the tech geek asked, trying to goad Noah into a conversation..

Noah sighed before quickly closing his book. "Listen, Cody. I'm not here to make friends. That talk we had on the way to the first challenge was a fluke. My nerves were acting up and I couldn't focus on the game. I'd say you're not a bad guy, but you were insane enough to jump off that cliff first, so who knows? But I came here to win the money, not to get all buddy-buddy with everyone here. Please go bother someone else if you're really bored." After his rant, Noah swiftly turned around before opening his book to where he had left it.

Cody gritted his teeth. He always remembered Noah being a bit standoffish, but he'd forgotten just how bad it was. Leaving the bookworm alone, he turned around to face the rest of camp. They were spread out, but not nearly as isolated as they were on the first day. After a few seconds, he decided to approach the man currently fumbling with his yo-yo.

"Hey, your name's Tyler, right?" Cody asked, approaching Tyler, who was currently tied up in the yo-yo's strings.

"Oh, yeah. What's your name again?" The jock asked, struggling to untangle himself.

"My name is Cody. Nice to meetcha!"

"Yeah, yeah," Tyler said absentmindedly before falling to the ground. He finally kicked the yo-yo string off of him.

"So you, uh, like to yo-yo, huh?" Cody asked, offering a hand. Tyler took it, enthusiastically jumping to his feet.

"Hm? Oh absolutely! Watch this sick move!" Tyler tried to do something impressive, but like usual, ended up injuring himself in the process. The jock's eye was now swollen shut, sure to become a black eye.

"Oh, yeesh. Want me to take you to the medical tent?"

"Oh, thanks. You already know where that is? I haven't seen you walking around much."

Cody froze. He shouldn't know where the medical tent is. He only knows it because of his lengthy stay there during his original run on the show. He had to think of a lie quickly.

"I, uh, asked about it earlier! Yeah! I'm allergic to a lot of things, so I wanted to know where it was just in case."

"Ah, that makes sense," Tyler said. Cody wiped the sweat off of his brow. At least he believed it.

Cody knew that he was gonna end up a good liar, whether he wanted to or not. His entire identity, his existence was a complete fabrication. He'd either end up a great liar, or he was done for.

On the way to the medical tent, they bumped into Lindsay, who seemed to be wandering around aimlessly. When she spotted them, or rather when she spotted Tyler, lit up. She ran up to the duo with a bright smile and waved.

"Hi, Travis! Hi, Colby! Where are you guys going?" she asked curiously. Suddenly, Cody had an idea.

"Hey, Lindsay. I'm just taking Tyler to the medical tent. He hurt his eye. You know, the medical tent isn't far from here. It's just a straight shot from here. How about you go with him, Lindsay? Just to make sure he doesn't get lost." Cody suggested, a grin on his face.

"Okay! Let's go, Taylor!" she said happily, grabbing his arm. As they were walking off, "Taylor" turned around and gave Cody an appreciative thumbs-up before turning around and chatting with Lindsay.

As Cody returned to the main camp, the sun had dipped halfway below the horizon, so Cody decided to get his food. Ezekiel happened to be in there at the time, so Cody sat with him. The geek tried to teach the homeschooled kid more about the real world during their time at dinner. It wasn't easy, given how truly ignorant Ezekiel was, but he saw some progress. Still, Cody ended up exhausted afterward. Normally, he wouldn't go to bed for another few hours, but traveling through time gave him a distinct advantage. The next challenge would see him staying awake for an inhuman amount of time, so he needed all the sleep he could get. The boys' cabin was still empty, but crawled into bed anyway and fell asleep.

A/N: This is a bit of a shorter chapter, but it's here to set up Tyler and Noah as characters. I know Tyler and Lindsay's relationship doesn't really need Cody's interference, since they always get together, but Cody using Lindsay as leverage to be friends with Tyler works. It's fun to see the Peter Oldring characters interact.

Noah's section is to explain his surprising socialness with Cody on the first day. Once again, showing Noah's lack of social awareness isn't that important since it's shown in canon anyways, but Cody and Noah are a fun pair. Short chapter means a short author's note.
