"Superheroes are the hit of comic books and these two are here to put their lives on the line into defending the weakest of the weak." Masaru exclaimed
"I'm right there with you Masaru!" Jataro agreed
Boomstick: Bruce Wayne, the Batman.
Wiz: And Peter Parker, the Spider-Man.
"A guy in a bat costume against a guy in a spider costume. This should be something." Juzo commented
"Intriguing, but what I'm more curious about is hearing Batman's backstory." Shuichi responded
Boomstick: It's no secret that given time for prep, both Batman and Spider-Man can defeat pretty much any opponent.
"Characters who are gods, demons, martial artists, wizards, archers, cyborgs and psycho madmen who come in all shapes and sizes." Monaca noted
Wiz: Which is why we're pitting them against each other only with their standard equipment, gladiator style.
"Oh come on! They're doing it again?!" Akane whined
"Yeah pretty much. It's probably because they have more to demonstrate which might be abundant to study on." Hajime asserted
"As far as the scenario goes, I'm all cool with it." Nagito agreed
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
"Starting off with the Dark Knight, Batman debuted his appearance on Detective Comics #27 in 1939 on DC Comics and as for Peter Parker, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man made his appearance since Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962 on Marvel Comics." Nagisa explained
The first combatant is a well-built man in his 30's to 40's standing on top of a roof wearing a gray skintight with a bat symbol on it and a cowl that only covers his upper head and ears which they are shaped as bat ears along with black combat boots and bladed gauntlets. He also has a yellow utility belt that has all sorts of gadgets and a large cape which helps him glide through the air.
BATMAN
Wiz: The Dark Knight is a master of the shadows. Using intimidation as a weapon, he patrols the streets of Gotham City.
"That's right, he's a superhero who hides his presence in the shadows striking fear into the hearts of men." Masaru noted
"That is the way of assassination and judging his actions, he happens to train in stealth and much more in fact." Maki added
Boomstick: You know you're doing something right when people are terrified of JUST your shadow.
"Literally a wimpy person noticing a figurative shadow creeping up on them, they be shitting themselves right now." Monosuke noted
"In other words, making cowards run home to their mommys!" Monotaro added

Chihiro, Gonta, Sonia and Mikan teared in sorrow for having the most tragic backstory of losing both parents too soon.

"What else can you say about the batsuit looking badass and packing all sorts of gizmos?!" Leon said with an impression, and the others agreed on his statement
Boomstick: I guess when you're a billionaire, you can afford to turn yourself into a freaking human taser.
"That makes sense since they're looking at superheros from comic books who can do practically anything." Yasuhiro stated as most of them chuckled at Boomstick's statement
Wiz: The gadgets from Wayne's never-ending funds don't stop there.

Wiz: Notable gadgets include a gas mask, tear gas, smoke pellets, a Kryptonite ring, remote detonated plastic explosives, and his trademark grapple gun.
"He sure does come prepared when he's in a scenario and the solution into solving them is his gadgets." Maki noted
Wiz: He also carries a large supply of collapsible shurikens.
The shurikens he carries are shaped like bats which brought most of the audiences awing at the superb designed shuriken that Batman crafted himself .
Boomstick: The batarangs! And if throwing a razor sharp object at people isn't enough, he's got several types! Like electric shock, knockout dart, and grenade.
Another example they're showing is Batman throwing one at a barrel of a gun with perfect aim and precision and causing the gun to backfire plus using several other types of Batarangs.
"Holy shit! Did you see how well he throws it to hit the barrel of the gun? Now that's what I called precision!" Mondo exclaimed
"Truly a decisive aim. He must've took some training in order to land that shot with the Batarang." Jin speculated
"Not to mention the other types like the shock and grenade really do make it up to step up his game." Koichi added

Wiz: He can anticipate attacks through muscle movement and memorize the smallest details, even the shape of cheek he's punched.
"I must said that I'm impressed by his achievements even though he's only human. It takes hard work, dedication and the extra step into doing so much." Kyosuke commented
"Because of that, it is more of a reason to respect him more." Sakura added
Wiz: And while Batman is only human, his achievements stand among gods.
"My gods..." Hajime spoke as he was shocked as everyone else excluding the five children of Hope
"A mortal man standing his ground against the gods! That is impossible..." Gundham exclaimed
"That's absurd. How could such a man in a suit fight against those who are gods of his world?!" Byakuya questioned
"It's simple, because he is a Dark Knight of Gotham City who does the impossible by fighting fate." Nagisa answered
Boomstick: He's the founding member of the team of superheroes known as the Justice League, and he's even fought Superman!
Some were curious about the other members of the Justice League and they did remember about Superman being mentioned once ever since Rogue V Wonder Woman.

Boomstick: Well, let's see. His parents were killed in front of him as a child, he uses his money to beat the shit out of people dressed as a giant bat, and keeps employing 12 year old sidekicks! Yeah, he's clearly not all there.
"We can only hope that wouldn't be much of a problem in battle." Chiaki said
"Though I am concerned about his sanity hoping that he would reconsider it." Sonia replied
Wiz: But he IS a survivor. He endured being broken in half, fighting the other members of the Justice League, complete disintegration, and being stranded in the past as a living time bomb of galactic destruction.
Once again, everyone jaw-dropped all of this of him enduring the punishments and STILL lived.
Boomstick & Everyone (Excluding 5 Stars of Hope): Wait, WHAT?
Wiz: Yet he somehow pulled through every time.
"I... I can't believe what I'm hearing... How would THAT be possible?!" Leon wondered
"I know right! Normally an average dude would die easily for attempting the hard way. If he survived all of that then that must mean he has superpowers!" Yasuhiro claimed
"A bold claim, but surprisingly... he has NO superpowers at all. He's just a normal adult man." Masaru corrected
"If superpowers are out of the question then it would probably be his luck. I mean, that could be the only possibility explaining how he is still alive after all the events he endured over his career as a superhero." Nagito speculated
"You make a pretty damn good point. I mean, what else is there about the guy dressed as a bat?" Kazuichi assured
Boomstick: Why? 'Cause he's the goddamn BATMAN.
"An understatement we can all agree upon." Kyosuke agreed
They see a thug looking around frantically for Batman.
Thug: WHERE ARE YOU?!
Suddenly the screen turns to see Batman hanging upside down behind him.
Batman: Here.
Batman takes out the thug as the screen goes black.
"Scary..." Monophanie spoke
"I will say this, he just made himself a badass vigilante." Mondo commented
"You say it bro! As a moral compass, I of course abide by his reputation." Kiyotaka exclaimed
To the eyes of everyone from Hope's Peak, Batman is among the most baddest fictional superhero of all of the DC Universe. His weaponry, batsuit, gadgets and his skills that he specialize such as mastering every martial arts, escape artistry, genius intellect, a photography memory and his detective skills makes him a very suitable superhero. Makoto, Kyoko, Hajime and Shuichi admires and respects his detective skills. Maki and Mukuro likes his gadgets including the grapple gun, smoke pellets and the grapple gun. Leon, Yasuhiro and Nagito couldn't help but be jealous by his tenacity into surviving almost anything that comes at him.
The next combatant is a young man wearing a red and blue spandex with the patterns of a spider as he swinging around the city by shooting webs coming out from his wrists.
SPIDER-MAN
(Cues: Main Theme - Spider-Man 2002)
Wiz: The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man protects the streets of New York City.
"Good for him. For every city across the globe needs a superhero to step up for them." Kaito asserted
"New York City huh? I should plan a trip to travel there sometimes." Mahiru praised
"A friendly neighborhood who is named Spider-Man?! I never recalled having a neighbor like him living next door to me." Koichi joked
Boomstick: Once, Peter Parker was a wimpy nerd with no friends. Then he got bit by a radioactive spider that gave him weird bug powers.
"He went from being a total nerd to a superhero where he can do anything of what spider does." Kokichi said
Boomstick: And now he's a radioactive superhero with no friends.
"Gonta be happy by being friends with Spider-Man and Gonta studys about spiders." Gonta noted
Boomstick: Though after some practice and superheroing, he finally got himself laid. A lot, actually.
They see various pictures of girls that Peter has dated and kissed, ranging from blondies, to brunettes, a redhead, a raven haired girl and a woman wearing a skin tight black jumpsuit who's hair is white as snow. Leon was mind shocked in jealousy at Spider-Man for dating so many pretty chicks.
"Wow, he sure knows to get around with the girls. What a guy." Aoi commented

Boomstick: You know, if he was SO smart, wouldn't he make the webs shoot out of his butt like a real spider?
Most of the audiences including Monokuma, Nekomaru, Miu, Kokichi, and Koichi burst out of their laughter while Aoi, Mukuro, Mahiru, Tenko facepalmed at Boomstick's statement even though he's only joking.

"That ignorant fool." Byakuya scolded, facepalming as well as Aoi, Mukuro, Mahiru Tenko once again while Chihiro, Mikan, Sonia and Tsumugi giggled

They watched Spider-Man running at superhuman speed, lifting up a tank and smashing it apart and even took a bomb to the face.
"Gonta impressed by Spider-Man's lifting strength." Gonta asserted
"The blast I remembered torn me down but as for Spider-Man, he took it like it was nothing to him." Nekomaru noted, remembering the time he protected Akane from Monokuma's bazooka and was severely injured.
"And he's also agile on his feet, giving him an opportunity to intercept any incoming attacks and retaliate." Chiaki added
Wiz: He can even knock a dinosaur out cold with a single punch.
Nearly everyone were shocked to see Spider-Man fighting an actual dinosaur and took it down with one hit. Not even heavy hitters like Sakura, Akane, Nekomaru or Gonta can punch that hard with their physical human strength.
"Since when did Spider-Dude ever fought a dinosaur?!" Yasuhiro asked
"When he was in the Savage land." Monaca answered
Boomstick: Haha, suck it, Denver!
"Yeah, fuck Denver! No one ever really talks about him and he's the most wimpiest ass dinosaur." Monosuke agreed

Wiz: Also, by altering his body's electron attractions, Spider-Man can crawl along any surface.
"That is magificient. The power of science is predisgious! He can alter his body to the point where he can stick to any surface he pleases." Keebo exclaimed
"Wow Keeboy, I never expected you to react like that. Cat must've gotten your tongue." Kokichi replied
Wiz: But his most advantageous power is the Spider-Sense.
Boomstick: It acts kinda like a warning signal, like caller ID when your ex-wife's calling for alimony.
"No, that's not how the sense works but he is on the ropes when he said it's works like a warning signal." Kotoko corrected, while some girls like Mahiru, Aoi and Tenko frowned while everyone else made a blank look, not making any comments to Boomstick's statement about the sense
Wiz: Actually, the Spider-Sense is much more than a simple alarm. It gives Peter omnipresent detection of his surroundings. This is how he swings around New York without looking where he shoots his webs.
"That's incredible! He can detect any practically threat or danger through his surroundings." Kaede commented
"If I had a sense like that, I could feel the presence of those who oppose me, challenging me for a spar." Sakura noted
Wiz: And unlike his human senses, it is not affected by gases and toxins unless specifically tailored to the Spider-Sense itself. However, it's up to Spider-Man to recognize and react to its warnings, so it can be tricked if he doesn't think he's in danger.
"In other words, he has to make sure if he's in danger or not before taking action." Kyoko informed
Boomstick: Still, paired with his speed, Spider-Man is almost untouchable. He can even dodge automatic fire!
"Most people with athletic speed can do that." Masaru noted

"It appears "The Way of the Spider" is a plentiful art of which I have not heard about something Peter developed himself. Although, I do not believe it would be of any use to me at all." Sakura replied
"You're right, I don't think learning the art would be beneficial to me either because I don't have a Spider-Sense." Tenko agreed
Boomstick: No wonder other superheroes don't like this guy. I mean, the freaking Spider-Sense does everything for him!
Wiz: Speaking of which, somehow, Spider-Man once tried to join the Justice League, but was rejected by Batman.
They saw a text on the screen that was labelled non canon.
"Of course the scene we're looking at is Marvel/DC crossover comic and the page where Spider-Man wanted to join the Justice League, but was turned out by the members." Nagisa noted
"They all look at him and said 'Boooo... your reputation sucks. Your assistant is not welcome here in the Justice League.'" Jataro stated
"Then again, the crossover between the two comics is non-canon so it doesn't applied to the source material for both Batman and Spider-Man." Kotoko concurred
Boomstick: Ouch. I bet he wishes he could fight old Bats in a battle to the death - OH-HO, WAIT!
Most of them chuckled at Boomstick's line of sentence and everyone else knew Spider-Man would give Batman a difficult time to pin down if he were to keep up.

"I see what he means, being stealthy and silent in the dark is Batman's thing but not in Spider-Man's case cuz his red and blue costume are too bright." Nagito noted
"Not only that, he could only take so much damage before he can be wear down for good." Chiaki added
"That makes sense, but why bring up pesticide?" Kazuichi wondered
"T-The ethyl chloride pesticide is a certain type of chemical that is designed to kill insects and arachnids." Mikan answered
"Because he was bitten by a spider which altered his DNA, the pesticide is now one of Spider-Man's worst enemy." Fuyuhiko added
"Gonta worry now because there a chance where Batman have a pesticide in utility belt." Gonta stated
Wiz: Also, any enemy with speed comparable to his can outmatch his Spider-Sense.
Boomstick: Still, if those are only his limitations, how come sometimes he gets shot by a stray bullet?
Wiz: Lazy, lazy writing.
"People who wrote these characters are sometimes ignorant to put even more details." Miaya said
They see Spider-Man about to leave until a red-haired girl stops him.
Mary Jane: Wait! Who are you?
Spider-Man: You know who I am.
Mary Jane: I do?
Spider-Man: Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Spider-Man was an interesting character and a unique fighter to learn about along with his spider abilities. Gonta took a huge liking to him and because of his talent as the Ultimate Entomologist and his love for bugs, he's eager to become friends with him. Leon wanted to know how and discover a way that Peter is hooked up with more girls than anyone else.
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate once for all!

This was another difficult battle to decide from. Both Batman and Spider-Man can counter each other in many ways like Batman having the more knowledgeably brain and use his gadgets to outsmart Spider-Man and to get a jump on him. Spider-Man on the other hand can detect Batman hiding in the shadows with his incredible Spider-Sense and it when comes down to abilities, Spider-Man might practically overwhelm Batman with his superhuman power and skills. Sure Batman has faced the Justice League including Superman himself and won which sounds unbelievable, but against Spider-Man, it's a different story than most can anticipate.
DEATH BATTLE
Spider-Man swings onto the rooftop of a building and waits. Batman then appears by jumping out of the shadows of the rooftop exit door.
Spider-Man: You've got a black belt in stupid, if you think you're gonna beat me.
"There goes the mocking. Just wait until he gets what's coming to him." Aoi noted
One superhero will live, the other one falls to die a hero.
FIGHT!
Spider-Man shoots two webs, which Batman blocks immediately. Spider-Man shoots his webbing at Batman which pulls the caped crusader towards Spider-Man and hits Batman rapidly with multiple punches and kicks, but Batman manages to blocked them and knocks Spider-Man back with more powerful hits. Spider-Man bounces off the ground and lands on his feet, recovering instantly from Batman's furious attacks.
"The battle is already getting heated up and they're both delivering their own rushing attacks." Nekomaru said
"Still, I hope that bat guy can squish stomp that spider." Hiyoko replied
Batman throws two batarangs, which was aimed at Spider-Man, one of which Spider-Man dodges and the other was simply threw away with Spider-Man's webs. Batman then throws an explosive batarang, striking the floor beneath Spider-Man's feet. Spider-Man, however, simply believes that he missed him accidentally.
Spider-Man: It's just not your day, pal...
The batarang then explodes, which sends Spider-Man high into the air, and Spider-Man then lands near the rim of the building.
"Ohhhh!" Most of the audiences exclaimed
"Taking explosions in the face is not pretty, trust me. It would literally blow up a normal person to pieces." Monosuke noted
"We get it ya weirdos. One of the worst traits of death is the reason why I keep having nightmares." Kaito replied
While Spider-Man was recovering from the explosion, Batman jumps behind him as the Spider-Sense picks him up and throws a smoke bomb just as Spider-Man turns around. While it does not affect the web slinger, Batman uses the smoke jump at Spider-Man and land a couple of hits on him, then knocks him back towards where he was.
Spider-Man is now right at the edge of the building, where Batman throws bolas at him, wrapping around Spider-Man's torso. Spider-Man struggles to break free from the bolas, but then, an explosive at near his feet explode, which was likely secretly put there by Batman when the smokescreen was still up.
Spider-Man is thrown off the top of the building from the force of the explosion. He starts to spin as he falls and then shoot a web at the building's walls to pull himself forward and stick to them. But the moment he touches them, Batman swings in with his grappling gun and kicks him straight through the glass, shattering the glass into pieces.
"Holy hell man, he's gotten blow up again and was kicked through a tall building window." Kazuichi gasped
"And that's one of hell of an entrance to make." Fuyuhiko added
As Spider-Man bounces and tries to recover, Batman uses his grappling gun again and disappears on to the ceiling. Once he recovered, Spider-Man looks around the building for Batman. Suddenly, a batarang then flies in from the broken glass and breaks all the light bulbs, making the room completely dark. Batman tries to sneak up on the wall crawler, but triggered Spider-Man's Spider-Sense which alerts him. He then shoots a web from his left hand from his web shooter, bringing The Dark Knight down to the ground and making Batman visible to Spider-Man.
"The Spider-Sense has spotted him from the darkness. I called it!" Kaede exclaimed
"Agreed." Shuichi replied
The two continue to fight from inside the building. Spider-Man rapidly attacks Batman, furiously landing a few hits and staggering the dark knight, but then Batman counters Spider-Man's quick attacks with more focused attacks. Recovering from this Spider-Man shoots his webs at Batman and web rodeo slammed him against the window, cracking some of the glass from the other side of the building. Spider-Man leaped across the room to Batman, ready to attack. Batman suddenly uses his bat transponder to summon a swarm of bats to come in, breaking the rest of the glass and pushing Spider-Man back. Spider-Man then rushes up to him and kicks Batman out the window.
Spider-Man: Pardon moi!
Suddenly, the Dark Knight's grappling hook snares Spider-Man's foot, quickly making our web shooter fall from the building as well.
He then starts shooting his webs again at The Dark Knight, pulling himself towards him to continue the fight. They both fall through the air, continuing to trade blows. Spider-Man pushes Batman downwards to try and make him hit the ground first, but Batman uses his glider to get back up to Spider-Man, put him underneath his foot and slam him against a bystander's car and smash it. Batman jumps away from the vehicle which then, unsurprisingly, explodes sending Spider-Man flying through the air.
"Is it just me or is Batman is reluctantly on using explosion to bring Peter down?!" Komaru wondered
"It's just as we expected, Batman can't match Spider-Man's superhuman physique in combat so his only option is keeping his distance and plan some traps to wear him down." Makoto answered
"This battle is coming close to an end." Kyoko informed
When he gets back on his feet, Batman shoots his grapple gun, which Spider-Man ducks, evading Batman's attack, Spider-Man then grabs the grappling hook and yanks on it causing the caped crusader to fly forward but Spider-Man is then electrocuted by Batman's 200 volt suit and knocked away by Batman.
The Bat then throws two explosive batarangs, one which Spider-Man avoids, but as the second one flies away, Spidey uses his web shooter to catch it.
Spider-Man: Whoospie!
He throws the Batarang back at Batman, who shields himself, with his cape, from the explosion but is knocked back. Just as he recovered, Batman was suddenly hit by a web in the face, losing his sight and leaving Batman vulnerable.
Spider-Man: Having fun yet?
Spider-Man then shoots a barrage of webs, which hit Batman as Spider-Man shoots more webs at a faster pace. Batman is eventually pushed into a giant web, which was created by the shots that missed, and has his body constricted by the ones that hit him and he couldn't break free of the webbing.
"Not good! He's completely stuck of all that webbing and doesn't have enough time to break out." Yasuhiro pointed out
"You're fucking kidding..." Mondo replied, shocked of an anticipation
Spider-Man then shoots a load of webbing at once behind him to create a slingshot.
Spider-Man: It's all or nothing!
Spider-Man pulls back on it and then rockets forward from the force and goes into a kick position. He nails Batman with enough force and separates his upper body and head from his limbs which are still caught in the web trap.
Spider-Man: Loooossserrrr!
"GAHHHHH!" Kazuichi and Yasuhiro screamed
"WHAT THE FUCK MAN!" Mondo and Fuyuhiko shouted
"This is terrible..." Tsumugi noted while most were shocked in silent
He lands, with Batman's torn up, bloody body sliding after him.
Spider-Man: Sorry about that. Web Swing!
Spider-Man then web swings away from the scene.

Those who voted for Spider-Man cheered for him to win while the Batman voters clapped in sympathy for such a brutal death.
"I... don't believe it." Makoto spoke out
"Clearly, I didn't expect for this to happen." Kyoko replied

"I think we've seen quite enough." Mahiru said as the ending was pretty gruesome

"It's true, against Batman's stealth skill Spider-Man had the answer for countering that since stealth isn't everything." Shuichi agreed

"To my consideration, it would seem he spend his time associating with them understanding their strength and weaknesses since he is their member." Kirumi speculated
Wiz: Many of Batman's greatest achievements have required weeks or months of preparation and planning, which can hardly be compared to the one-on-one confrontation of a Death Battle. Keep in mind, if we have given Batman prep time, the same would be done for Spider-Man.
"I agreed with his statement. To defeat the whole Justice League requires months so he usually wins by planning in the long run." Kyoko noted
"Because of that, he barely met Spider-Man so he would only have little bit of time knowing him and understanding his capabilities." Makoto added
Boomstick: And all of Wayne's money, and the Commissioner's men, couldn't put Batman together again.
Most of the audiences chuckled at the pun while the rest groaned at it.
Wiz: The winner is Spider-Man.
The episode between superheroes was enjoyable to those who read the comics and a little do some know between Marvel and DC, there is bound to be more future episodes of the two clashing again and again. Time for the preview of next time.

The music started off as a light but then changed into heavy metal. They witness two red dots which most assume it was red eyes but when the lights were on, they were not the eyes, they were the cheek pouches that belonged to a yellow mouse like creature with a lighting bolt shaped tail, black stripes on its back and long pointy ears with blacked colored tips. Most of the audience including Chihiro, Sonia, Himiko, Gonta, and Tsumugi gushed at the creature.
"Hey, that little guy is a mouse!" Kazuichi pointed out
"That's not just a mouse, that's a Pokémon!" Chiaki replied in excitement
Unknown: PIIIIIIKAAACHUUUUUUUUU!
They watched it battle against another creature while shooting electricity from its body.

Another combatant looks to be human but his skin color is green, has claws on his hands and toes, his orange hair is really long and spiky and has sharp teeth and canines.

They watch the beast man also releasing electricity from his body and jumps around with an impressive agility.

And that wraps for Batman & Spider-Man episode. Yeah, most people can agreed with Batman winning over Spider-Man and making him like a joke but this happened way back then in 2012 and settled it in gladiator style, therefore making the fight wonky and fast. A quick thing I wanted to talk about is the Death Battle Tournament of Champions. There are 32 match-ups in the ballot and sadly only one can be declared to win and the ballot is getting nuts as it get and the one match-up that I never thought we would possibly get is Sailor Moon VS Madoka. Honestly, this one had caught off me guard. I was rooting for Monokuma VS Koro-Sensei, but until week 3 past, this one changed my mind, so I would have to give up on Monosensei because I'm more attached to MadoMoon. However, there are match-ups that have been talked about for years and gotten popular ever since like Gru VS Megamind and Wile E VS Tom Cat (so far), so I feared they would win the poll. Even still, even my favorite match-up doesn't won, I can't just be giving up on it. There will be another chance of winning next time for sure. You never know.
