Chapter 5: Days In Lowee
AN: Hey everybody I'm back with the next chapter. Sorry, it took as long as it did. Anyways, this chapter will have our very first legitimate fight of the story so look forward to it. Without further wait let's get right into it.

Lowee Middle of the Afternoon
"HA!" Rae roared as she threw multiple punches and kicks in her training grounds. She was dressed in her usual outfit though it was noticeably sweaty and dirty. She was putting in more effort than usual today as she had an important fight later. She then began to fire rapid-fire ki blasts that floated in the air and after creating several she moved her hands downwards causing them to fly towards her and she quickly dodged them ducking and weaving and even doing a few fancy backflips until there was no more dodge. She took in a breath to rest a bit and stretched. "Okay...I think I'm good for now." She doubted the amount of training she'd done for the best few days would be enough but she felt more confident she'd give him a fight to remember. "Guess I should head back to Lowee. Blanc and Mina should be up soon and will probably need me." She muttered and flew off towards Lowee.
A Few Minutes Later
"Ahh Rae you're here." Financier said as Rae entered the Basilicom. "They're in the office going over some last-minute documents for the festival."
"Okay. I'm gonna see if they need me to do anything." Rae said.
"Alright. I'll see you later and good luck with the fight." The Chamberlin said.
"Thank you." Rae said with a smile as she walked toward Balnc's office and arrived quickly before she knocked twice.
"Come in." Blanc said and Rae entered finding the CPU at her desk with another woman looking over a few documents. She had long blue hair with matching eyes and pale skin. Over her eyes she had glasses. She was wearing a white dress with a red cloak of sorts over her shoulders and a matching hat. This was Mina Lowee's new Oracle. She had applied on the first day and was almost immediately hired due to her impressive background and talents. She was quite intelligent and kind, something Blanc and Rae appreciated. Blanc had approached her and Financier about the position but both refused. Financier was quite content with her job as a Chamberlin while Rae didn't like the idea of sitting around all day doing paperwork. "Oh, Rae. How'd the training go?"
"Well." She answered.
"Think you can beat him?" Blanc asked and Rae shook her head.
"I don't know. I'm happy with the results but I don't know if it's enough." Rae admitted. "Still I'm gonna give him a good one at the very least."
"Well I look forward to hearing the results but let me remind you: Don't go too far and destroy the environment." Mina said sternly and Rae nodded. The fight was happening in a more deserted part of Lowee but still she knew they'd have to be careful with how powerful they'd gotten.
"We will. Is there anything you need me to do?" Rae asked and Blanc glanced around before nodding.
"Only one thing. We need you to go help a few workers finishing the last building in need of repair. A crane broke and they can't move the last supplies they need to finish on top of the building and the worker who has the Ancient Dragon is currently recovering from an accident that broke his left leg. There's one more thing that needs to be done but I'm doing that myself." Blanc said and Rae nodded.
"Okay. I'll head out then." Rae said and turned around before exiting the office and walked to the entrance.
One Minute Later
"Ahh Rae." A worker said as she landed. "You here to help out, little miss?"
"Yep. You just need me to get something on top of this building right?" Rae asked as she looked at the decently large building.
"Yep. After that we can finish this off and be done with city repairs." He said. "C'mon I can show you the crates you need to get up there." He said and led her over to three large wooden crates. "Should be easy for you right?"
"Yep." She said and easily picked up a crate and shot up to the top of the building and placed it down before going back to pick both crates in each hand and placed them on top before landing in front of the man. "And done."
"Thanks Rae. We can finally finish up." He said with a grin.
"You're welcome. I gotta go. Haven't eaten anything yet." She muttered her stomach growling.
"Well I hope you have a nice breakfast kid." He said as he walked over to his workers to get to work.
"Thank you." Rae said as she flew off to find a place to get lunch.
With Blanc
"Okay Mina I'll leave the last bit here for you. I'm going to go handle this last job." Blanc said as she set two documents for Mina to look over.
"Okay. I'll finish these easily Lady Blanc." Mina said and Blanc got up from her seat.
"I know. You've easily proven you can handle this job Mina." She said, giving her a smile before she exited the room. Mina smiled to herself as those kinds of compliments were rare from the often emotionless CPU.
"You heading out Lady Blanc?" Financier asked.
"Yes. I'm going to do the last job before we have some time to relax before tomorrow." She said.
"Very well. Thank you for giving me the day off tomorrow." Financier said.
"Of course. We intend for everyone to have a chance to enjoy the festival after all." Blanc said. "And as you're my friend it's natural I'd ensure you go."
"I suppose you're right. Anyways, go handle the job. I'll have lunch ready for when you get back." She said and Blanc nodded before exiting the Basilicom and began to walk through her nation with people greeting her and wishing her a good day. She continued walking until she arrived at a new shop that had been built and she entered it causing a bell to ring as she entered what seemed like a gaming store of sorts. After she entered a light bouncing sound was heard and in came Broccoli.
"Hello! Welcome, to-Oh hello Blanc nyu." She said, noticing who it was.
"Hello Broccoli." Blanc said. "I'm here to do that inspection."
"Of course nyu." She said and led Blanc around allowing her to check and observe everything was in line and following guidelines. After a few minutes, Blanc nodded.
"Okay everything's in order. Not that I expected less from you." Blanc said, giving her a smile.
"Thank you nyu." Broccoli said. "Are you done with the work before the festival nyu?"
"Yes. Mina only had two documents left and the last request was your shop for inspection." Blanc answered. "Are you going to attend?"
"Of course nyu. A big festival like that isn't something to miss especially with the treaty being signed nyu." Broccoli answered.
"It is a big moment in our history. On top of the fact it's celebrating the fact that for the first time ever a CPU is pregnant." Blanc said. While she'd never admit it she was quite excited about the festival. She needed a break from writing her novel and this was a good chance to do so plus...She had to admit she was a little interested in finding a date. She quickly realized she was the only CPU without somebody like that in her life with Noire and Jared being together, Vert and IF and finally Neptune with Julio which technically meant she had Compa and Kila as well. Hell she was going to have a kid eventually as well and sure she was happy for them all but...She couldn't help but feel jealous they had somebody like that. And before anybody suggests it no Rae was sure as hell, not someone she was interested in. She was a sister to her and nothing more.
"That's true. Maybe you can find a date there Lady Blanc nyu." Broccoli said innocently and Blanc blushed lightly.
"Y-Yes perhaps." She said before composing herself. "Well, I should go. I must prepare my outfit for tomorrow."
"Okay. I'll see you at the festival nyu." Broccoli said and Blanc exited the shop before walking back towards the Basilicom.
With Rae
"Ahh. That was good." Rae said satisfied after eating a nice meal prepared by the staff. She glanced at a clock on the wall and saw the time and shortly after felt a powerful energy signature land a bit outside the Basilicom and she took in a breath before grabbing her dishes and placing them in the sink before walking to the entrance where she saw Julio talking with Financier. He noticed her and waved a hand.
"Hey Rae." He said, giving her a smile.
"Hey Julio." She said returning it with her own. "You ready?"
"I was gonna say the same to you." He answered before turning to the Chamberlin. "It was nice seeing you again. You'll be at the festival right?"
"Yes. I'm one of Lady Blanc's guests after all." Financier answered. "Good luck with the fight. Try not to hurt each other too badly."
"We won't. Need to be able to attend the festival after all. Plus the girls wouldn't be happy if I came back with a broken arm or something." He said scratching the back of his head with a happy smile. Rae couldn't help but smile as well. He seemed very happy with Neptune, Kila, and Compa. She had gotten a talk from Blanc about relationships and various other things and while she was a bit traumatized at first by what their special training actually was she had gotten over it enough to talk with Julio easily. "Now, let's go. The girls want me back before dinner so we can go over our plans for tomorrow."
"Okay. Tell Blanc I'm with Julio Financier." Rae said as the two walked out of the Basilicom.
"I will." She called back as the two flew off away from Lowee.
A Few Minutes Later
"Here we are." Rae said as they landed in a completely snow-covered environment. It was very cold but the two Saiyans were hardly bothered by it especially since they were very excited. It was pretty far out and uninhabited thanks to the lack of materials and the sheer coldness of the area so it was the perfect place for the two to go at it. She hopped from foot to foot and Julio simply crossed his arms and smirked.
"Alright." He said and entered his fighting stance. "Let's see if your training paid off." He said as Rae entered her own with a smirk of her own.
Cue Battle of Omega Instrumental
"Let's see if you've been slacking!" Rae shot back and rushed forward throwing a punch only for it to be caught by Julio who pulled her to him till they were nearly face to face.
"Not one bit." He said and flug her fist away before slamming a foot into her gut, sending her back and shot after Rae who quickly recovered and blocked throwing her own punch that Julio caught before flinging her away but she recovered and did a few backflips to recover and land on her feet.
"Ouch. You certainly haven't." Rae said and was shocked when Julio shot forward and uppercutted her before hitting her with rapid punches and kicks before knocking her back but she let out a growl and recovered before shooting forward and striking him with a punch across the face before kicking him repeatedly only for him to grab her by the leg and slam her onto the ground before flinging her away but she quickly used her flight to recover and shot towards him punching him back causing him to fly back and smack into the ground and bounce a few times but he recovered and dug his feet into the ground to try and stop himself but quickly found himself blocking and deflecting Rae's punches which caused him to be pushed back further.
"Alright, looks like your training paid off." Julio said with a grin as he continued to block and deflect her attacks while throwing his own. He was pretty happy to see Rae had improved greatly but he could tell she was holding back so he decided to stop messing around and caught her fists in both his own and kneed her in the gut before slamming her onto the ground and kicking her so hard she created a trench that completely tore up the ground for a good several feet. She pushed herself up with minimal damage down to her.
"Ow. You're done messing around huh?" Rae asked and Julio smiled.
"Yeah. My desire to kick your butt is taking over." Julio said as his aura flared around him and Rae grinned hers as jets flared around her as well before with sonic booms roaring out into the wasteland they charge forward their fists colliding causing a massive shockwave that ripped the earth apart which only got worse as Julio and Rae began to throw rapid punches and kicks that destroyed the ground even more but it was mercifully spared for the moment when Julio kicked Rae into the air causing her to gasp out as she flew upwards but activated a times three Kaioken block Julio's blow before hitting him with a kick sending him flying down towards the ground but he recovered and boosted his own Kaioken to a times two before shooting up and kicking Rae again before firing a ki blast that collided with her causing a large explosion that sent Rae flying upwards smoke trailing off of her before Julio pursued and threw a punch that Rae narrowly blocked before slamming a fist into Julio's face that he shrugged off and slammed an elbow into her chest causing her to gasp out before he sent her flying back with another punch but Rae growled and recovered before shooting over and striking Julio repeatedly with punches and kicks before she kicked him away and with a roar fired a Galick Gun at Julio who stopped and quickly kicked the blast up to the sky before he retaliated with his own Galick Gun that Rae quickly blocked with a hastily formed ki barrier but she was still blown back and was soon bombarded by a series of heavy punches before he elbowed her into the ground below causing a crater to be formed and debris to fly into the air but Rae shot back out and threw a Kaioken times five enhanced blow that knocked Julio back before she roared and shot above him firing a barrage of blasts that caused an explosion and Julio crashed onto the ground but got up as Rae landed in front of him.
"Not bad." Julio shouted before shooting forward and throwing a punch that Rae managed to redirect allowing her to slam an elbow into his gut before she roundhoused him in the gut that sent him reeling backward before she flipped back and fired a Galick Gun that collided with Julio causing an explosion. The smoke cleared and revealed Julio standing in it the red aura even more violent.
End Theme
"Nice. You've really gotten the hang of the Kaioken." Julio said unscathed, having boosted the Kaioken to endure it.
"...Transform." Rae said and Julio looked shocked.
"What?" Julio asked.
"Transform. I want you to go all out." Rae said her tone was determined.
"Rae...I know you know I won't need to go that far to win." Julio said seriously. He wasn't trying to brag or be arrogant about it which Rae was well aware of. Julio was forcing her to use higher multipliers of the Kaioken than he was and despite her training, he was still better with it and could probably use times thirty with no issue now. His boost from his battle with Kobura coupled with his training had formed a gap that she'd need to train harder than she'd ever trained before to close.
"I know...I know that in that form I can't beat you...But I want you to go all out. I want to experience this form first hand." Rae said giving Julio a stubborn look that caused him to fall silent and he sighed.
Cue DBS OST - The Birth of a God
"...Alright...I'll show you why the might of a Super Saiyan." Julio said and clenched his fists before a golden aura flashed around him as he began to yell and charge his ki which caused the ground to shake and crack as the sky darkened above them. In all the other nations those who could sense ki stopped in their tracks and turned their heads towards Lowee feeling the immense power building up there. Julio began to yell louder as his muscles pulsed and his eyes began to turn teal before with a final roar a burst of power exploded from him and blinded Rae with the golden light that erupted but when the light stopped and she was able to see she saw Julio standing there his hair standing up golden in color resembling that of a candle flame. The power she felt...It was immense, almost overwhelming. "Alright...This what you wanted to see?" Julio asked a smirk on his face, his voice a little deeper than usual.

"Yeah...This is incredible." Rae said as her heart pumped. Whether it was out of excitement or fear she didn't know. She then let out a roar as the Kaioken flared around her and she began to charge it up further as red lightning crackled around her before she let out a roar. "Kaioken times 20!" Rae roared as the aura exploded around her and Julio grinned.
"Looks like you've gotten stronger with it." Julio said before Rae shot forward and threw a punch that nailed Julio in the face causing a massive shockwave that shattered the ground underneath them. Rae however, was shocked to see it didn't even cause him to move he was just standing there unhurt. "That tickled."
"...I've made a terrible mistake." Rae said recognizing how bad an idea this truly was.
"Yes, yes you have." Julio said as she stepped back. "Want me to go back to just Kaioken?"
"No. I got myself into this situation and I'll deal with the consequences." Rae said.
Cue Power to Resist
"If that's what you want." Julio said, shrugging before punching her across the face, sending her flying backward and feeling as if she'd been hit by a supernova before Julio moved behind her and kicked her before grabbing her foot and slamming her into the ground. She managed to free herself and quickly got to her feet attempting to punch him but he simply tanked the blow unfazed. She then let out a yell and began to throw many more blows that Julio evaded with minimal effort not even bothering to block before he kneed her in the gut and elbowed her away. Rae soared back and collided with a small hill that shattered and collapsed around her. Rae then burst out of it and rockets towards Julio tearing the earth beneath her as she did and threw a punch that Julio blocked before grabbing her arm and suplexing her onto the ground causing her to gasp in pain before he kicked her sending her along it creating a trench as she did once more. She then laid in it and groaned lightly.
"God I'm stupid for doing this." Rae thought to herself as she got up panting. "But...I'm also learning...This is what a Super Saiyan is." She thought to herself staring at Julio who had his arms crossed a smirk on his face. "I can reach this level...I know I can!" She thought to herself and shot forward throwing a punch that Julio tanked before he kneed her in the gut sending her up in the air before he shot up and grabbed her foot before slamming her back onto the ground.
"You still want to continue?" He asked again only for her to for a blast he jumped back to avoid. "Guess so." He said as she got up and shot forward again throwing a punch that he prepared himself to block but she surprised him by switching to a kick that moved his head a little as her foot connected with it doing no damage before he grabbed her leg before flinging her away. She soared back but quickly recovered only to see Julio charging a yellow blast that he fired sending a wave of energy that she quickly raised her arms to block it. The beam collided with her and she let out a scream of pain as it exploded damaging her which also caused Julio's eyes to widen.

"Shit! Rae you okay?" He asked in alarm as the smoke began to disperse revealing Rae with her clothes torn and burned. "Guess I didn't hold back enough."
"I'm fine. Little burned but fine." Rae said.
"We need to end this here. I'm sorry but you're not ready to take me on in this state." Julio said and was about to power down when Rae spoke up.
"NO! I need to experience this!" Rae said angrily.
"Is that what this is about?" Julio asked, realizing her intentions. "You don't need to fight me for that."
"Yes I do. If I fight you I can better understand it's power and attain it. I know I can't win this fight but I'm going to keep fighting!" Rae said seriously and stared him down, her eyes determined. "Now just fight me dang it!" Rae said and shot forward causing Julio to react and block her punch before he kneed her in the gut and punched her away. He wanted to stop, but there was an overwhelming feeling to fight her and he realized why.
"I've still got to learn to keep the instincts that come with this form in check." He thought to himself. "Fine. I'm gonna end this quickly then before things get out of hand." Julio said only for Rae to get up and let out a yell as the red aura began to intensify.
"TIMES 25!" Rae roared and shot forward striking Julio with a punch that actually caused him to slide back a bit mostly due to him being caught off guard but he quickly recovered and blocked a kick before he grabbed her leg and flung her away and chased after her striking her with several punches and kicks before he punched her away only for Rae to quickly recover and shoot forward only for Julio to catch her fist and slam his other one deep into her gut causing her to gasp in pain before Julio chopped her in the neck and after stumbling for a bit she collapsed unconscious and Julio sighed before powering down to base.
"Rae we're gonna have a talk when you wake up." He said and gently picked her up before flying back towards the Basilicom.
A Few Minutes Later
"...And that's what happened." Julio said, finishing his explanation to Blanc, Mina, and Financier who had finished treating Rae's cuts and bruises.
"That was severely reckless of her." Mina commented.
"And out of character. She's normally smarter than this." Blanc said. "What was driving her?"
"She wants to become a Super Saiyan to help protect Gamindustri." Julio said and they looked at him in surprise. "She was extremely determined to experience just what one is and learn its power to better understand it and eventually become one. At first, I thought it was her Saiyan side not wanting to be left behind by a fellow Saiyan and the overall desire to grow stronger but the way she spoke and the look in her eyes...They told me all I needed to know."
"Still...She could have done it in a better way." Blanc muttered.
"Oh no debate there. I still haven't gotten complete control of my instincts when I'm transformed. I could have accidentally killed her if I got pushed enough." Julio admitted and noticed Rae stirring and she sat up groaning.
"Ow...Ow...Ow." She groaned out and opened her eyes before looking around and saw she was in the living room of the Basilicom and saw the small group around her. "Oh...Hello."
"You're in trouble." Blanc said her tone stern and Rae winced. "What you did today was stupid and reckless regardless of your intentions."
"...Sorry. I really want to be strong enough to step up and not let Julio handle the strong opponents alone." Rae said looking down.
"I appreciate that but doing what you did was foolish." Julio said. "You could've been seriously injured today. You're lucky I knocked you out before the negative effects of the Kaioken took over. Your energy was incredibly unstable when you pushed it as far as you did." Rae opened her mouth and he cut her off. "Don't try and bring up my own use of it. Lately, I only push myself with the Kaioken beyond my limits when I need to. This was a sparring match and pushing yourself as you did was completely unnecessary." He paused and let her soak that in while he contemplated what was happening. "I really feel like an older brother right now."
"...I'm sorry." Rae said apologetically.
"...This Saturday at noon. Be at Planeptune." Julio said and Rae looked up. "I'm gonna train you to become a Super Saiyan."
"Really?" She asked.
"Yes. I'd start sooner but with the festival coming up and me beginning my job as a teacher at Takko's school it's the only time I have for it." Julio said. "Now I have to go. Gotta be ready for tomorrow."
"Okay. We'll see you tomorrow." Blanc said, giving him a smile. She was quite impressed with his scolding and ability to be firm.
"See you guys tomorrow." Julio said and exited the living quarters.
"Bye." Rae and Mina called after him. "So...What's my punishment?" Rae asked.
"No training for the rest of the week and no third helping for as well for the same time period." Blanc said sternly.
"Aww." Rae said looking down.
"Be glad I don't do worse." Blanc said. "Now let's eat. We'll need to get up early tomorrow so it's best we eat dinner now."
"Okay." Rae said getting up and the three went to the dining room.
Later
"That bath felt nice." Rae said as she entered her room her hair slightly wet. It really helped her sore body from the fight with Julio. She sat down and thought about his words to her. He really came off like the old man when he spoke like that, but there was something else about it. The old man always felt like a father or grandfather but Julio...It was like an older brother looking out for his sibling. Thinking about it, that was how she felt in general with Julio. He always felt like a brother to her with how he treated her. It was...A pretty nice feeling she had to admit. It also made her sad thinking of the man who looked after her for so long. "...I just wish I knew what happened with the monster that took his life." Rae muttered to herself as she thought back to the horrible day. How she awoke in the middle of nowhere, finding him crushed in a crater, burying him, and how she cried and hurt for so long alone. It had been difficult to adjust to not having him in her life. She closed her eyes and tried to remember what happened that night. She remembered an Ancient Dragon and how they were fighting it and if she recalled it was a full moon. She briefly remembered Julio had mentioned it being important to a Saiyan but she forgot why. All that had happened with the battles across the Nations and Celestia had pushed that out of her mind. She concentrated and brief flashes of the moon, the dragon, the old man, and incredibly loud roars that caused her head to hurt.
"Rae?" She heard and she was snapped out of her thoughts by Blanc's voice and a knock on her door and took a breath before speaking up.
"C-Come in." She said and Blanc indeed dressed in a white nightgown and socks.
"You feeling okay?" She asked.
"Yeah I am. Julio didn't hurt me much and I heal fast so a good night's sleep should be what I need." Rae said. "Anything else?"
"...You really had me worried you know?" Blanc said softly and Rae fell silent. "You were my first real friend and I love you like a sister...So, please. Don't recklessly endanger your life when you don't need to."
"...I won't. I promise." Rae said getting up and hugging Blanc. "I'm really sorry."
"It's fine. You're okay." She said and stepped back. "I've gotta get to bed. Tomorrow is gonna be a little exhausting so it's best I get as much sleep as I can."
"Okay. See you in the morning." Rae said and Blanc exited her room and she smiled to herself. "I may have lost him...But I've got a new family that cares about me just like he did. I bet he's happy that I've found this family." She thought to herself and went to bed where she fell asleep.
Meanwhile
In the Sharicite room, the crystal floated rotating slowly and glowing brightly however it was interrupted by two pulses that thumped in rapid succession more intense than the other Sharicites. It was getting closer and closer to that day.
AN: I'm ridiculously ashamed of myself for letting myself take this long and putting a short chapter like this out. I don't know why but I found it really hard to type in general. Like my motivation and thoughts were there but I couldn't type. So, I just decided to stop and try every other day until I could. Then other stuff happened. My family went through a rough time and my job really started taking up time. Then the holidays came along and I was focused on other things until I was finally able to sit down and type and finished this. Took me a couple of days to ultimately get this done.
Anyways, let's just get to a quick power level update for Julio and Rae.

Woooo boy. Rae, has some catching up to do huh? Amazing what a strong Zenkai boost can do and sheer determination to get stronger can do. Don't worry a few characters will definitely catch up in time.
The next chapter will be the festival and it will be a long one as it will involve every character and their own fun but it will mostly be centered on our protagonist and his harem. Also, I will be expanding more on Rae through this story but will mostly get into it during the true sequel story.
I really don't have anything else to say except once again I'm sorry for my long absence and I'll try to make up for it. I'll be going to my Yugioh and Fate fics to hurry and get something out for them.
