Welcome back everyone! I'm glad you've returned for this strange but hopefully enjoyable story!
In the home of The Dazzlings…
"Oh my gosh these little fellas are so cute!" Squeals Sonata as she messes with Messmers winged serpents who clearly are frightened by her and want her 18 inches away from them specifically.
"Sonata! Leave the poor things alone! Can't you see they're terrified of you?" Orders Aria flipping through the TV channels they have which isn't very many.
"Awww ok…" Whimpers Sonata as she backs away for now.
"Thank you Aria, this one refuses to listen…" Thanks Messmer who's too big to sit on the couch and has to sit on the floor instead and damn does he miss his throne..
"I know right?" Mumbles Adagio.
As Aria flips through the channels they find a news channel and watch it then the news quickly starts talking about The Rainbooms and Aria instantly changes the channel before they can even show a picture.
"What was that?" Asks Messmer, his winged serpents looking at her confused.
"Those Rainbooms are the ones who took our magic from us!" Hisses Aria, her mood even more sour now.
"I see thou still holds a grudge against them?" Asks Messmer.
"Of course we do! We've lost so much because of them!" Responds Adagio.
"Lets not get upset just yet! It's still super sunny out so why don't we all go out and find something nice? You haven't seen anything in this world yet Messmer and despite what Aria and Adagio say it's actually kinda nice around here!" Says Sonata grabbing the hands of her two fellow sirens and forcing them up and towards the door waiting for Messmer to join them.
"If this world is anything like thy's quarters I shall avoid seeing it but if it is as nice as thou says then I shall see…" Says Messmer as he stands up and summons his spear from his flames and into his hand.
"I don't think you need your spear…" Says Adagio.
"It is in case we run into dangers like those 'Rainbooms' thou despises" Responds Messmer.
Just then Adagio has another evil scheme pop into her head but this is quickly cut short by Sonata bonking her on the head.
"No! No evil plots while I'm around! We've given up that life, remember?" Says Sonata.
"Sigh, fine fine…" Mumbles Adagio as the four step outside but have some difficulty getting Messmer out the door like they did with actually getting him into the house last night so they have him exit through the garage which works like a charm and the three make a note of making changes to their house to fit Messmer.
In Sci-Twi's lab at home…
Sci-Twi and Sunset are with Bedman researching his bed-frame with sheer unending glee as compared to even Equestrian magic this bed is something. Bedman is also having a wonderful time and is ready to flex about his bed-frame and how meticulous the creation and testing process was once he gets the chance to bring them into his Nightmare Theater, that is until then he is stuck communicating with written words which he obviously dislikes as if it isn't clear as crystal by now Bedman just loves to hear the sound of his own voice.
"This bed-frame is a wonder even too science and magic combined!" Yelps Sci-Twi.
Bedman smiles and writes the two can just hear the sound of his voice and his smugness from the words alone:
"Impressive, no? I made it myself using several of the best features of previous generations and what made them work so perfectly!"
"Yeah it certainly is impressive! I cannot wait to see how Princess Twilight reacts to this!' Says Sunset.
"I'm sure she's going to love this! You didn't tell her everything right?" Asks Sci-Twi.
"Nope, just something really important popped up and she needs to see it! She should be here any—" Responds Sunset before she hears a loud bang on the door. Bedman quickly hides in the bed's normal form.
Sunset opens the door to see a panting Princess Twilight dressed in a much more regal outfit than the one she used to wear as well as looking significantly older like everyone else.
"Pant-pant I'm here Sunset what was this thing you mentioned Applejack found?" Asks Twilight still heavily panting and sweating.
"He's right over here! Follow me!" Responds Sunset taking Twilight's hand and bringing her towards Bedman.
"Who is this?" Asks Twilight leaning in to get a better look at the seemingly normal boy.
"He calls himself Bedman," Says Sci-Twi.
"Bedman? This has to be a joke! Sunset please don't tell me you brought me here just to see another one of you and Sci-Twi's crazy experiments!' Says Twilight a little disappointed, hoping her time hasn't been wasted.
"It's not!" Responds Sunset as she waits for Bedman to surprise her.
Just then the bed-frame comes to life doing the exact same thing it did with Pinkie (minus the forcing mouth shut and grabbing parts). The bed leans in to get a good look at Twilight who nervously smiles as Bedman gives a cocky smile in return.
"Um-hello Bedman?" Nervously says Twilight the mechanical bed-frame towering over her as the boy's body hangs limply gently dragging across the floor.
Bedman smiles as he turns the area from Sci-Twi's lab into his Nightmare Theater and watching the reaction of people who see this first hand is one of his favorite things! This 'Princess Twilights' reaction must certainly be his current favorite as she almost dies of a panic attack as her two friends have to calm her down!
"Why hello! As you know I am Bedman you must be the beloved Princess Twilight they adore so much is this assumption correct?" Says Bedman smiling while residing in his bed-frame.
Twilight nearly dies of sheer panic but somehow calms herself again and responds.
"Ahem yes I am! It seems you are friends with Sunset right?" Responds Twilight still feeling a little nervous.
"I'd hesitate to call us 'friends' , we are acquaintances at best as I allow them to study my Reinforced 8th Generation High-Density Bed-frame which I made myself!" Says Bedman full of pride.
"I see! May I ask why you needed it in the first place?" Asks Twilight.
"Due to my abilities me and my sister are unable to awaken for long periods of time without death to circumvent this I created this bed-frame to allow me to act in the waking world until I could have created my Absolute World which would have allowed us to awaken without risking our lives however I was killed before doing so" Explains Bedman rapidly.
Twilight takes a minute to process everything he just said mainly due to how quickly he said it.
"I think it'll be best if I simply show you" Says Bedman as he warps the area into a theater and shows Twilight his memories of everything he's done like how he did with Sunset and her group.
"Oh wow…" Mumbles Twilight who's seen evil before but this is certainly something.
"Yes yes I know murder is wrong, killing animals to prove a point is evil let's skip that part shall we?" Says Bedman.
"We can do that, yes, so how did you end up here anyway?" Asks Twilight.
"After my death I simply fell through Applejack's family barn, I have no idea what exactly brought me to your realm however" Responds Bedman.
"Are you the only person who got sent here?" Asks Twilight once more.
"I'd say no as I theorize whatever brought me here is affecting others who have also died especially those who want to atone for their actions like myself however that is just a baseless theory as to my arrival in this world" Responds Bedman.
"Well hopefully whoever else was sent here with you will be as understanding as you and would cause any trouble" Says Twilight.
"If they cause trouble I am sure my Bedframe can swiftly eliminate them! As it has fought much worse than even the threats that you've faced 'princess'!" Says Bedman pridefully with a cocky grin that puts Rainbow's to shame.
"Oh really now?" Responds Twilight with her own level of smugness and confidence in her friends and their strength.
"Yes as unlike you I do not need the quote 'Magic of Friendship' end quote to solve all my problems! I am certain I wouldn't need to use even 10% of my power to do so as well!" Says Bedman.
"I don't know fighting a God of Chaos isn't very easy" Responds Twilight.
"Ah yes Discord was his name correct? He may be powerful by your standards but within my dreams winning is impossible unless I allow it! Even without that I am also capable of warping reality as well!" States Bedman.
Twilight chuckles a little.
"Discords going to love this!" Says Twilight laughing.
Sci-Twi and Sunset look at each glad to see the two are getting along surprisingly well as Twilight is able to match Bedman's boasting easily due to years of experience.
"Speaking of your realm it seems Sunset hails from there yet she has not explained it in any detail, you are the ruler of your world correct? So why don't you inform me of this 'Equestria' you both are from?" Asks Bedman, curious to hear what she has to say.
"Well other than having magic Equestria doesn't have any humans at least to my knowledge, we have Dragons, Ponies, Yaks, Griffons, Changelings and more! We all used to be distant from each other but after solving lots of friendship problems with my friends we helped everypony get along! I even founded the School of Friendship to help keep these new relationships strong!" Explains Twilight.
Bedman raises an eyebrow. All of this sounds so ridiculous it must have come from a kids show that he's never heard of but is sure Deliah would probably enjoy.
"How intriguing. I would like you to take me there sometime in the future as I must see this world of yours for myself!" Responds Bedman.
"I'll gladly take you sometime! You might see some familiar faces though just not in human form, I wonder if you'll get turned into a different species like me, Sunset, Spike and everyone else do when we go through?" Wonder Twilight.
"I highly doubt it as I am not from either this world or yours so that law will most likely not apply to me or anyone else who has come from another realm" States Bedman.
"That might be true but we'll have to test it to find out" Responds Twilight.
"And who is this Spike you speak of? Is he a pet of sorts?" Asks Bedman.
"Spike a pet? No, no, no! Spikes my assistant and he's a Dragon!" Explains Twilight.
"Hmmm a Dragon? I see! Well then that is all my questions for now! Any other questions before we leave my Nightmare Theater?" Asks Bedman.
"Just one. Why do you talk so fast?" Says Twilight.
"That's due to my ability to process information at such rapid rates, much quicker than even some of the greatest minds ever could! This is enhanced by my connections to The Backyard" Explains Bedman.
"Make that two questions. What is The Backyard?" Asks Twilight.
"It is a powerful realm of my world discovered by The Original that contains all information and when combined with my world it will create The Absolute World!" Explains Bedman.
"So The Backyard plays a big part in your powers and magic?" Asks Twilight.
"Yes it does however as I am not fully a being of The Backyard the human limitations of my body struggle to keep up with all the constant information flowing through it which is why me and my sister must sleep as that is enough to suppress the flow to allow us to live" Responds Bedman.
"Oh well that makes sense when you think about it, so now what?" Says Twilight.
"Well me and Sci-Twi were going to go meet up with the others with Bedman after we got done introducing you to him, maybe you can join us?" Asks Sunset.
"I think I can spare a few minutes!" Says Twilight happy to catch up with the human versions of her friends again.
Bedman closes the Nightmare Theater and they all leave Sci-Twi's place to go hang out with the others at Sugarcube Corner…
With Messmer and The Dazzlings at the front doors to a shopping mall…
"Why does thou need all of this? Is what thy has in thy's living quarters not enough?" Asks Messmer carrying several shopping bags for them.
"It's to look pretty in!" Says Sonata happily hopping as she walks.
"Some of it is also for our music too" Explains Aria.
"I see… I have yet to see those 'Rainbooms' thou despise so much yet either" Says Messmer wondering if they are as bad as they say.
"Trust me you don't want to, they love preaching about friendship and magic and all that junk it'll put you to sleep" Complains Adagio.
"I must be the judge of that" Says Messer as he still doesn't completely believe what they say.
As they walk they come across Sugarcube Corner on, well a corner and Messmer stops to look inside.
"Why'd ya stop?" Asks Sonata looking at her new buddy.
"Are those the Rainbooms thy loathe?" Asks Messmer looking inside at all five women in there. Aria, Adagio, and Sonata look in as well.
"Ugggggh! Of course the one time we all head out to have fun we just have to walk by this place! Let's just go!" Complains Aria.
The Dazzlings start walking away but Messmer out of sheer curiosity heads inside after kneeling to get through the door. He stares at all five of them.
"Who are you?" Asks Rainbow looking up at the towering lanky man.
"I am Messmer, eldest son of Queen Marika" Answers Messmer.
"What brings ya here sugarcube?" Asks Applejack politely.
"I am here to investigate these 'Rainbooms' that a group I am currently staying with hates" Says Messmer.
"Well you're looking right at them! Well most of them anyway, both Twilights and Sunset still need to show up…" Proudly states Rainbow.
Messmer and his winged serpents stand there quietly for several seconds evaluating them. Both of Messmers winged serpents slithers their way to get a closer look at them before retreating back.
"Something wrong dear?" Asks Rarity.
"Thou'art not look like I expected…" Answers Messmer disappointed that of all people The Dazzlings lost to them.
"Well then what did you expect silly?" Wonders Pinkie giggling.
"A group more… fit for battle who have clearly seen battle not sitting around in a building enjoying whatever it is this is" Explains Messmer.
"Ah'll have ya know we've seen our fair share of battles!" Counters Applejack.
Messmer slowly opens the palm of his free hand and spawns at first a small crimson and black flame with dark coils slithering around it like a serpent, the flame grows and grows until it nearly touches the ceiling his serpents stare menacingly at the girls just like Messmer himself.
"Hast thou seen what I have seen? Hast thou done what I have done? Hast thou seen graceless crusades like I? Hast thou scorched cities and capitals with thine own flame? Hast thou taken even a single life with thine own weapon let alone entire peoples?" Coldly asks Messmer.
With Messmer's question the girls sit there all horrified and speechless as they simply don't know how to respond. At least with Bedman they did have some counter to his words but not this man as it's clear he's done horrible, horrible things that they hope they'll never have to do.
"There you are!" Cries Sonata followed by Adagio and Aria dashing into Sugarcube Corner easing the tension just a little bit.
"You could have at least said something!" Complains Aria looking at him.
Messmer slowly turns to the three girls, flame still burning and coiling within his hand.
"I ask of thee this, Are these the Rainbooms thou lost to so long ago?" Asks Messmer towering over the trio easily looking down upon them with no pity left within him.
"Uhhhhhhhhh yes?" Responds Adagio sweating a little bit.
"Of all to lose to thou lost to them?! My rank and file soldiers could slaughter them easily yet with your own seemingly powerful magic you lost!?" Hisses Messmer.
"D-Don't underestimate the power of friendship! T-There's nothing it can't beat!" Shyly says Fluttershy her stutters making Messmer disappointment in The Dazzlings loss grow.
Messmer looks over his shoulder at the girls, his winged serpents following suit; he then points his spear at them.
"If thou'art correct in thine ability and thy strength I command of thee a duel with no holding back from either side…" Demands Messmer.
Rainbow and the others look at each other then back to Messmer filled with their trust in each other and their strength. They all stand up and walk over to Messmer and look up at him.
"Fine then! Once Sci-Twi, Sunset, and Twilight get here a duel it is! Just don't cry when we win!" Smirks Rainbow.
Messmer turns to face them and despite desiring a duel he has no joy on his face, not even sorrow, just an emotionless gaze from his sockets and winged serpents.
"If thine group loses, prepare to be embraced by the soul scorching flames of Messmer and taken in the jaws of the Abyssal Serpent…" Responds Messmer.
"Hey girls! Sorry we took so long— Who is that?" Asks Sunset walking in alongside Sci-Twi and Twilight and Bedman.
Everyone turns to them, Messmer staring especially maliciously.
"Art thou the missing members?" Asks Messmer menacingly.
"Uh yes! And you are?" Responds Twilight.
"I am Messmer, firstborn of Queen Marika and I demand a duel between myself and thou's allies…" Coldly States Messmer.
Rainbow and the others go over to their other friends and promptly explain what is going on. Bedman considers just killing the man himself but his curiosity is far too high as he has to see how this fight goes. Bedman then turns to The Dazzlings, recognizing them from Applejack's memories.
"What is that thing?" Wonders Aria looking up at Bedman confused.
Bedman just smiles.
"Whatever it is it's creeping me out, can we go already Messmer?" Says Adagio not wanting to deal with this anymore.
Messmer just stares at her with such disappointment it answers her question for her.
"Hey maybe we can all get along?" Wonders Sonata hoping to prevent things from getting any worse.
Messmer stares at her too, shutting her up as well.
"When thine's allies are ready come to me I shall be waiting for our duel outside in a more favorable environment for combat…" Says Messmer walking out of Sugarcube Corner and waiting outside the store.
Twilight, Sunset, Rainbow, Sci-Twi, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, even Aira, Sonata, and Adagio look at each other. Their bad feelings at what's about to go down simultaneously rising. Bedman just looks on at them and chuckles in his own mind at how absolutely fucked they are he was going to challenge their power of friendship himself at some point out of curiosity, but it seems this 'Messmer' man beat him too it…
And I think that'll do for now everyone! Slightly shorter than the first part I know but we have only just started! And cliffhangers I don't enjoy them much either, but I'd rather not cram the fight in this chapter, so I'll save it for the next one instead! Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Goodbye for now my readers!
