Welcome back everyone! This chapter is going to contain a lot of fighting for obvious reasons so I hope you're ready! (Let's be real though this is kinda one sided since their human counterparts have like one ability each from what the wiki says so until the literal power of friendship can be pulled out they are in every sense of the word cooked).
Outside Sugarcube Corner…
The Dazlings, Rainbooms, and Bedman all simultaneously head outside and see Messmer and his serpents there sitting down waiting patiently for them. The Dazzlings move away from their old enemies to not get caught in the crossfire and Bedman just teleports to the side.
"Is thou ready?" Asks Messmer holding his spear in one hand as he stands up.
"M-Maybe we c-can still settle this peacefully?" Asks Fluttershy hoping to not have to fight Messmer and his serpents.
"...No…" Responds Messmer who will see if they are actually as capable as they think they are.
"You bet your butt we're rea—" Says Rainbow before being cut off.
Messmer raises up into the air forming an flaming orb in his free hand before soaring at them slamming the orb into the ground without destroying it creating a small burst before doing it again this time causing the orb to fully detonate creating a massive explosion. Luckily Rarity created a diamond patterned shield using her magic just in time to save them all even if it's on the verge of cracking from that attack alone.
"Wow! That was the bomb!—What?" Giggles Pinkie which gets her a look of: "Really?" from everyone, especially The Dazzlings and Bedman.
Messmer just stares at Pinkie and the rest of them as he stands up and instantly gets ready for another attack but is punched by Applejack and her inhumane strength which does impress Messmer a little even if he didn't hurt him that much. He sweeps his spear to hit them all but Rainbow using her incredible speed picks up her friends and moves them all out the way.
"Talk 'bout a quick start! And he's tough too!" Says Applejack cracking her knuckles while looking at Messmer.
Messmer leaps into the air and throws his spear at Sci-Twi who catches it via telekinesis with it being seconds away from her face. She tries to throw it back but it bursts into flames and reappears in Messmer's hand before it gets anywhere near hitting him.
"A item teleport spell? Impressive!" Notes Twilight.
Rainbow speeds up towards Messmer and looks at him mockingly.
"Catch me if ya can!" Mockingly says Rainbow ducking under a swing from Messmer just in time and kicking him in the chest rapidly.
Messmer not too phased by Rainbow's assault leaps up while coating his spear in flames and swings it from right to left mid air, he lands behind her then leaps towards her rapidly stabbing with his spear several times before getting even higher up and stabbing his spear into the ground which summons many copies of his spears to pierce from below before they all disappear and he resummons his spear into his hand. Luckily for her Rainbow managed to dodge it… At least that's what she thinks until she realizes her hair and parts of her outfit are scorched by his serpentine flames which slither up her outfit threatening to burn her alive before she quickly snuffs them out.
"Lucky hit!" Hollars Rainbow backing up out of the way of a wave of flame from Messmer's hand then leaping on his spear to evade a flaming thrust. And gives him a boot to the face with a cocky grin in return.
Messmer already tired of her cocky attitude instantly grabs her ankle and scorches it with his flames before attempting using said flames to raise her into the air and then to impale her with his spear (which is one of his favorite techniques) but large rocks to the face from Applejack and random objects shot at him from Sci-Twi with telekinesis and a concerningly large pigeon and who knows how much sugar and sweets which explode right in his face thanks get in the way of that.
"Rainbow are you alright?!" Screams Twilight running over and getting Rainbow and herself as far away from Messmer as she can.
"Ow! Can confirm that fire is not normal! But other than my toasted ankle I'm fine" Responds Rainbow feeling the true power of Messmer's acursed flames.
Unlike The Rainbooms at the moment, The Dazzlings are having a great time right now.
"Get 'em Messmer!" Screams Aria sitting on a nearby bench with her two fellow sirens. Loving the asswhooping Messmer is giving her old enemies.
"Get them for what they did to us!" Yells Adagio reverling in the fight going down.
"We believe in you!" Cheers Sonata hopping up and down in the most adorable fashion.
Messmer crushes the rocks by stomping on them and scorches away the sweets and decides to give the pigeon the Messmer special raising it into the air with his flames then impaling it with his spear then waving his hand to burn it again before swiping it off his spear like an insect with a flick of his wrist. Fluttershy lets out a horrified gasp at the sight of the poor bird.
"How could he do that?!" Cries Fluttershy.
"Ah'm going to teach him a lesson!" Yells Applejack stomping over to Messmer and punching him in the face with enough force to actually knock him back at least a little.
Messmer responds by charging a portion of his flame in his hand which raises up and launches itself at her like a fiery serpent but she is saved by a shield from Rarity. Messmer leaps into the air spinning around while his spear is coated in flames getting close to her then he leaps into the air again and attempts to stab her by bringing it down on top of her.
"Ya fancy footwork ain't gonna fool me! Ah've seen Rares do more impressive stuff with high heels!" States Applejack catching Messmer's spear mid attack with a single hand and stubbornly refusing to let go. She then attempts to punch him but he catches her fist in his hand and has one of his winged serpents coil around her arm and bite her neck before throwing her into a nearby wall Rarity runs over to her and gets in front of her to protect her.
"I won't let you hurt my friends! You're going to have to go through me!" Screams Rarity trying to intimidate Messmer with her words into not trying anymore which fails miserably as Messmer doesn't even bother responding.
Sci-Twi throws chunks of the wall Applejack slammed into from all angles at him as a distraction but he dodges to the side and leaps forward in a spiral motion to impale both Applejack and Rarity but the latter uses her shield to protect them. Messmer attacks her barrier continuously until Fluttershy and Pinkie of all two people are right behind him.
"I don't know who you think you are but what gives you the right to hurt not just my friends but animals as well!" Sternly states Fluttershy having found (at least at the moment) some confidence to speak without stuttering every five words and gives him and his serpents an impressively intimidating stare or perhaps The Stare is more accurate.
"Yeah what she said!" Agrees Pinkie crossing her arms and glaring too.
Messmer remembers while looking straight at them that these two exist since they can do so little he forgot about them. So he responds in the most respectable and responsible way he can!… By that I mean he transforms into a really big fucking snake and attempts to swallow them whole. But something stops him…
"Bedman?" Questions Fluttershy looking at Bedman who blocked the attack for them.
Bedman fires several spikes into Messmer's serpent forms mouth making him reel back in pain before he goes back to his normal form and stares at Bedman. Bedman blasts Messmer three more times but he swats away the first and dodges the second and third ones easily. Messmer throws his spear at Bedman but he teleports out of the way and behind Messmer stabbing him in the back with the of the bedframes spikes wheels then using the other wheel after it retracted the spikes and put three fingers in their place grabbed him by the head and flings him sending him crashing into a building.
"Th-Thank you Bedman!" Says Fluttershy as the bedframe's robotic head and Bedman's own head turn to her.
"Thank you dear for that save!" Says Rarity helping Applejack stand up again.
Bedman honestly doesn't care much for these people yet; Pinkie's loud playful antics and constant attempts to hug him are not something he enjoys nor does he like her plentiful parties as parties aren't meant to happen almost daily so throwing them over every little thing ruins the concept as a whole.
Then there's both Rarity and her constant attempts to make him get out of his hospital gown and into something: "More presentable and stylish" (her words not his) he's tried to explain to her he wears it for functionality as anything too complex would just be torn during combat but that doesn't work she's tried the same thing with his 8th Generation Reinforced High Density Bedframe as well.
Next is Rainbow Dash or as he calls her Rainbow Pride for two very obvious reasons her obsession with sports and comics and action movies is very strange to him but that's probably because due to his condition he can't watch movies read comics or join in on sports without the help of his bedframe and having lived in a world that could be described as something straight out a comic book or action movie actually being there isn't as fun as watching it on the big screen.
There's also Applejack Rarity's totally not girlfriend other than Fluttershy, Sunset, and both Twilights he has the least problem with her, although she could be less stubborn about her job as there are times he could do it much faster than she could but she doesn't want him too as he's a guest in their home.
Then both Twilights he hasn't done much with her Equestrian self yet but they seem to be very similar in personality so he groups them together anyway, he respects their desire to learn and gain knowledge and enjoys teaching them of the magics of his world but they take it too far at times not helped by being the most neurotic people he's ever seen as they stress out at the slightest inconvenience at times which makes him wonder about Equestrai's current stability if it's ruler is like this.
Second to last is Sunset who is similarly curious as Twilight but not as neurotic as her from what he's seen she is also the one who alongside the human born Twilight wants to help him atone the most due to her own past actions but to him attempting to make him join in with music, dragging him places to do random tasks, and teaching him random "Friendship Lessons" (which she got from Princess Twilight) isn't his idea of atonement.
Finally Fluttershy his favorite of the group her personality reminds him of Delilah in a way and he likes that enough to actually save her life and insteading of dragging him places just sits down and calmly speaks to him about things he does wonder how she's managed to live this long with such high social anxiety however most likely her good "friend" Rainbow Dash keeping her from dying of shyness he says "friend" in heavy air quotes as its so obvious she wants to be much closer than that (especially thanks to his mind reading/memory reading powers) but it seems she hasn't caught on yet. However he'll sadly have to put his monologue on a pause as his target is still conscious.
Bedman turns back to the spot where he threw Messmer and sees him standing back up his armor having protected him from most of the damage.
"How tough is this guy?!" Screams Rainbow wishing she had his level of durability.
"Bedman, is he from your world?" Asks Princess Twilight looking at him.
Bedman shakes the bedframe's head to tell her no. It seems this battle will last longer than first calculated no matter he'll just start using around 10% of his max power output to see if he can keep up.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Hollars Messmer a void of black sludge pooling and bubbling underneath him as he lets loose a cry making everyone nearby look at him as he summons several abyssal portals which let many gigantic building sized hideous accursed serpents exist partially and lunge at Bedman.
Bedman uses his teleportation to dodge the many serpents or contorts his bedframe into a weird pose to do so, he even teleports on one of the serpents themselves letting them bash into each other or into random builds but he does try to keep Sugarcube Corner out the crossfire for Pinkie's sake not his. He instantly teleports to Messmer and precisely strikes him in the chest with a spiked wheel then blasts him with several spikes point blank. Messmer reels from the hit but counters by stabbing forward with his spear forcing Bedman to quickly block and get pushed back giving Messmer just enough space to do the same combo he did to Rainbow earlier. Bedman reacts quickly enough to deflect the hits and teleport out of the range of the spears from below the two stare at each other intently for several seconds the bedframe ticking like a clock before spinning its head and wheels simultaneously every several seconds; Messmer stands there eying Bedman alongside his winged serpents.
"Why'd they stop?" Asks Aria.
"Maybe they're having a conversation?" Responds Sonata.
"Who has a conversation mid-battle Sonata?" Says Adagio.
"Bedman vs Messmer! Heaven or Hell! Let's Rock!" Suddenly shouts Pinkie in a perfect copy of an announcer's voice.
And just like that they continue causing so much property damage it'll be like Godzilla himself had a vacation here to give Tokyo a day or two to repair from the latest attack. Messmer leaps forward and thrusts his spear at Bedman only to be blocked but when Bedman attempts to stab him with a wheel he grabs the arm and tosses Bedman over his shoulder and leaps up to throw his spear at Bedman to prevent his recovery and two fire serpents for good measure. Bedman crashes into the ground leaving several large holes in the road and crashing into someone driving their car ruining their engine entirely.
"What the hell?! My car!" Yells and raves and rants the driver looking at Bedman.
Bedman briefly turns to face the man but not like he can do much to him so he can live, he sees the spear coming at him and dodges out the way or he would have if the spear didn't burst into flames and disappear before it could hit him but he does deflect the two Fire Serpents however. He then sees Messmer leaping at him flame burning in his free hand as he readies his spear but Bedman catches both his hand in the bedframes hands but Messmer saw this coming and transforms into her serpent form clamping down on the bedframe's hands before dragging him against the nearby buildings not caring who or what is in them nor how much damage he causes, he then charges up a extra power Orb of Messmer in his mouth and slams Bedman into a building causing the orb to explode as he pushes down on it sending Bedman crashing into the top floor of the building…
That building just so happened to be Sugarcube Corner…
"Oh sweet heaven!" Screams Mr. Cake who alongside him and his wife are the current owner of this confectionery horrified by the sudden destruction of their home
"Who is he?" Wonders a concerned Mrs. Cake staring at the temporarily downed Bedman.
Bedman sits there checking to see how much damage Messmer just did, which is to his annoyance quite high both arms are broken and so are the legs and head partially; the latter broken part shows an exposed glowing red eye and red flesh underneath the robotic plating which moves to stare at the couple and their horrified young kids. Bedman must admit he is quite impressed with Messmer's combat prowess and raw strength; his previous estimate of the proper output to use was certainly too low. But it did take him much longer than Slayer to deal a less amount of damage.
Either way Bedman quickly repairs the damage done and stands up as Messmer charges him once more still not done yet he grabs the spear with one hand he could've teleported but then it would have hit Mr. Cake straight in the skull killing him instantly, he then extends the other arm behind Messmer and grabs his back and pulls him through the floor quickly teleporting to follow him. Messmer quickly stands back up and sees Bedman in front of him the two balancing on the glass showing off what must be dozens or hundreds of foods Messmer has never seen before right now that doesn't matter as he leaps back to dodge a spiked wheel slam from his opponent (who he has to admit is doing much better than The Rainbooms ever did) before landing on the wall behind him flinging three more fire serpents at Bedman then leaping at him. Bedman deflects the fire serpents then spins his spiked wheels to grab and stop Messmer's spear he rapidly turns his body and pins Messmer to the floor attempting to slice him up with the wheels but gets a kick not to the Bedframe's face but his actual face for his attempts. Bedman recovers quickly and using one arm throws his bedframe's head at Messmer which he easily dodges and closes the distance between him and his opponent raising his free hand and sending a scorching wave of flame right at Bedman then attempting to stab him with his spear but gets smacked in the back of the head by the return robotic head of the bedframe which automatically reconnects to the spiked stump of the neck, Bedman retaliates by morphing the bedframe into a spiked spinning top and hitting Messmer several times with it knocking Messmer into a wall but he's not done yet! He quickly leaps into the air while spinning, tucking the arms and legs in as he does so before slamming himself down right onto Messmer's noggin' then promptly teleports to the other side of the glass they are both still standing on and taunts him.
But Messmer gets up and sends many Fire Serpents Bedman's way alongside his spear which he coats in flames and thrusts forward but little did he know he fell straight into Bedman's trap he retracts the spikes on both arms and clasps them together once the fingers come out before quickly opening them revealing three strange sigils that summon the three attacks Bedman had just done using gray copies of the bedframe all of which are missing Bedman attached to them to do so. This brutal combo sends Messmer flying and Bedman just to flex teleports behind him before he could even land or crash into a wall and does a swinging strike with both wheels now spiked once more, he then turns the legs into wheels and while rolling forward stabs at Messmer with one arm back to back to back finishing his combo by having the bedframe open the seemingly once nonexistent mouth revealing a huge alarm clocks which rings so loud it shakes the entirety of Sugarcube Corner or what is left of it anyway… Either way Messmer is launched out the store and crash lands right next to the Dazzlings who at least a little concerned for him rush to his side.
"Oh god Messmer are you ok?!" Yells Adagio kneeling next to him and shaking him.
"Come on dude don't let a boy on a bed kick your ass!" Hisses Aria hoping her encouragement? of sorts will work.
"Come on Messer get up! We can't lose you already! You haven't even eaten your first taco!" Cries Sonata still wanting to show Messmer the good parts of the human world.
Messmer is actually quite alright, yeah he just took one of the worst beatings he's sure he'll ever have he's not unconscious or anything he places a hand on Sonata's head to let them know he's still in the land of the conscious he may have already picked a favorite out of the three but they don't need to know that just yet…
"I am still alive it is clear to me my opponent had no intent to kill as he had several chances and the ability to do so" States Messmer standing up and looking at the Rainbooms disappointedly.
"It appears thou art is not as much of a threat as I had once thought, therefore thine may live to see the sun rise and fall once more" Says Messmer looking at them.
"Wait, that's it?!" Hisses Aria getting angry.
Messmer turns to her and just stares at her.
"It was a duel not a fight to kill, does thou have a problem with that? Or would'st thou like to be next on the flaming end of my spear?" Says Messmer giving her an ultimatum.
"Suddenly I'm not pissed anymore, let's just go home this was a horrible mistake" Mumbles Aria walking away Messmer and her fellow friends following her back to their home.
"Thank Celestia that's over with" States Sunset wiping sweat off her brow.
"I'm sorry did he say that wasn't a death match?! He must be lying, he almost killed us all several times!" Yells Rainbow thinking he has a very skewed view of a "duel".
"If that there was a duel Ah'm worried to see him actually tryin' to kill us" Agreeingly says Applejack Rarity helping her stand up.
"Is everyone alright?" Asks Fluttershy looking around as Bedman teleports right next to her.
"Are you alright dear? That man did quite a number on you" Asks Rarity getting a thumbs up from Bedman.
"Are the cakes ok?!" Says Pinkie looking at Bedman and getting a nod in response which lets her calm down.
"He did a number on all of us including the town itself— Wait what's this on the ground?" Says Sci-Twi looking at something on the ground and scooping it up in a container and looking at it intently.
"That's the flame he used against us? How is it not burned up yet? It must be some form of magic he has" Wonders Princess Twilight finding her own portion of flame to scoop up into a container from Sci-Twi, Sunset doing the same as well.
The dark crimson flames or rather Ember of Messmer appears to burn slithering sluggishly around the container like it's attempting to find more things to scorch and grow stronger to burn just as strongly as the flame it spawned from. Sci-Twi looks around and sees these embers everywhere across the city clinging to walls, ceilings, floors, cars, anything even if it cannot be burned by this strange magical flame.
"Girls we have a lot of clean up to do…" Says Sci-Twi, now horrified by the true power of Messmer's flame.
Fluttershy also sees something that horrifies her: Butterflies with black as coal cinder wings eternally lit by the ribbon dark crimson flames of Messmer all over these flames replace their bodies and dark coils like snakes around them, especially their wings. They fly around where his flames had touched which is almost everywhere at this point one of them lands on Fluttershy and she tries to speak to it and hear it with her powers but it doesn't utter so much as word to her. She has Sci-Twi bottles several of them up in nice large containers with holes in the lid so they can still breathe of course as well several willingly fly inside and rest there endlessly burning away…
"What did he do to these poor things?" Wonders a now equally horrified Fluttershy.
Bedman teleports onto a roof and looks at Messmer and the Dazzlings as they walk away and from now on he will keep a close eye on them so that if they become a threat he can swiftly eliminate them but he highly doubts that will come to be as it seems they have no interest in anything of the sort only wishing to cause petty mischief expect potentially their leader…
