Hizashi knew more often than not that he had just a bit too much energy for the avenge person to handle day to day and way more chatty than most people would like, which was why he loved being a radio host since he could be as eccentric as he wanted so all his little listeners out there could feel just a bit more normal, so of course whenever the sports festival came round he was the first to sign up to be an announcer.
From his place in the booth he always had the best view of all the students doing their thing throughout the festival, as a hero more involved in the business side of things he couldn't help being excited for each of his students as they learned how to work the crowd, he would always do his best to make sure the support course got its due for their hard work on the different events props for the other years.
There wasn't much he could do to hype up the Gen-Ed kids, but he still tried to get them into the spirit since he wanted them to have just as much fun, though there seemed to be much more cheer amongst them given there was more than a few spots open from Shouta's expelling spree and of course there was all the crazy shenanigans the hero course students got into every year.
And this year Hizashi felt it in his bones that this year was going to be good even though the first event was only half finished he knew he was right, ever since that spectacular rescue from Sho's kids he and the rest of the audience were on the edge of his seat as the watched the students continue through the YBR, and they weren't disappointed from Haya striking back at Kenranzaki when the support student slowed them down to how Miyake powered throughout the whole course with only a few hiccups.
Hizashi tried to show the rest of the students off as well for the remainder of the event, but it was hard to get everyone's focus off of the little group, there were some more hijinks during the second lap as Sho's kids would get a bit sidetracked as they worked to stay together the whole time, only Mineta would get off of Miyake's back now or then to better deal with the obstacles of the course.
Due to that decision none of the five finished in the top spots but they still had a respectable places in 15th to 20th and got a massive round of applause when they crossed the line, and the little group had a mini-celebration, Hado pulling Haya and Mineta into a group hug while Miyake was checking on Amajiki since the poor boy looked half dead as soon as he fell off of the taller boy's back.
Being a good announcer Hizashi kept up the commentary the entire time as each student placed "And wrapping up for this round in number 42nd we have the ever so lovely Smith from Ged-Ed, let's give our students a hand for getting through that yellow marathon!" he prompted, and the crowd obliged with a big round of applause "Naturally our students are tired after running a eight K race, so we're gotta give them a breather before we continue with the festival! While the students refuel let's go over some of the highlights before we have an intermission." Hizashi informed pressing some buttons to bring up the appropriate footage.
Scrolling way back to the beginning Hizashi found the little rescue "Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think I've seen anything like this during my time teaching here and I certainly would've remembered such a daring stunt if it had happened during my time as a student, most students wouldn't think of trying to help their classmates during the first part of the festival but that is hardly a bad thing." Hizashi said playing the moment on the screens.
"While Amajiki and Mineta's rescue of Hado wasn't planned their ability to adapt on the fly in a potentially dangerous situation shows off the raw talent both boys possess for the field." Hizashi praised looking over to Baki to see if he had anything to add before moving on to the next clip which was of Kenranzaki.
"Then there was Kenranzaki's strong lead in the beginning from her gear but like any truly good inventor she didn't let a flaw in her design keep her down and found a way to make it through, with or without." He commented showing part of her beginning and how she recovered after Haya fried her backpack.
"This year's General Studies course has also given the hero course a run for their money, just take a look at how they bulldozed the last end of the track." He pointed out finding plenty of shots where the Gen-Ed kids showing off their skills in various ways "Smith especially showed what a simple quirk can do when you put your mind to it." He added showing the scenes where she slid through where she could in the winding track.
"Anything to add before we cut to commercial Gen?" Hizashi asked turning to his lovely co-host, Baki raised a single eye **No, I believe you've covered everything Mic.** Baki replied, and he nodded glad he learned morse code back during his second year at U.A. "Well, you heard the man, see you little listeners back here after the commercial break." Hizashi told their viewers then pressed the button for starting the commercial reel and switching off the mics over to the teacher's private channel.
"The last student has crossed the line, all free staff please help assist the remaining students back to the stadium and contact the medical bots for any students that require medical treatment, and call Recovery Girl directly for any accidents." He instructed before cutting the mics completely and slouching back into his seat with a sigh, he was very much tempted to switch off his implants and turned to Baki 'I got to turn my ears off for a few minutes.' He warned.
**Go ahead Yamada, I'll keep an ear out and tell you when we're ready to start again.** Baki assured placing his "hand" on his shoulder, with his permission Hizashi reached behind his ears and pressed the off button on both of his implants, and the next moment he was bathed in the haze of silence.
It was great to hear things and he'd never be cross with his parents getting him his implants, but it could get overwhelming and he needed time to declutter his brain without a million noises demanding his attention, it was why he always turned them off when he went to bed so he could get some decent sleep.
Opening his eyes, he grabbed the tablet and checked how the deconstruction of the course was going, the other teachers had gotten it down to a science at this point and it would only take ten minutes to deconstruct the whole thing maybe less given a good chunk of it was blown up by the students, he managed to spot Shouta helping some of his business students and smiled taking out his phone and went to their group chat.

[Parrot: Great work out there Sho! ^u^]

[Parrot: ]:p8]
[Kitty: You're both incorrigible.]
Hizashi huffed smiling as he checked a few more camaras before checking the field to see how the students were, he spotted Nemuri passing out water and snacks with a couple of the teachers in the business course, she looked up and caught his eye with a wink before looking at her phone and typing something.

[Kitty: Stop calling my students my kids, and I wasn't worried about Amajiki's offers. There are plenty of people we can ship him off to.]
[Ferret: No need 2 get so defensive Dadzawa~ (͡°ω͡°) ]
[Kitty: Don't you dare bring back that cursed name.]

[Parrot: Sure Sho (-ω-)]
[Dadzawa: I'm stealing your waffle-bars.]
[Parrot: Wha?! (;OロO) ! nooooo! Not my waffles! They're innocent Sho (ಥ﹏ಥ)!]
A tap on his shoulder brought Hizashi out of the chat and he turned his left ear back on "Yeah?" he asked **We've got two minutes until we're back on air.** Baki informed him and Hizashi nodded with a thumbs-up "Thanks, buddy." He told him and sent a quick text to the chat about getting back to work.
He was worried about Shouta taking his waffles, he's taken them from him before for much less and Hizashi had bought the chocolate ones this time (which were his favorite!) but the kids were more important than trying to convince Shouta not to take his waffles right now.
Hizashi switched on the teacher's privative comps "We're going live again in ten seconds, is everyone clear?" he asked as he turned his other ear back on, he got a round of confirmation from everyone on the ground aside from the clean-up crew as expected "'Kay, we go live again in 10, 9, 8, 7," Hizashi counted down with one hand hovering over the correct button.
"3, 2, 1. Hiya everyone! Welcome back little listeners! The students have been given enough time to rest and are ready to rock out in the second round! So, are we ready to get this party started Mastermind?" Hizashi greeted and he could see the blonde pinch the bridge of his nose and the mic picked up on Himawari-Sempai's groan.
*Yes… now can you just spin the wheel.* Himawari-Sempai requested, sounding more than annoyed as he tapped his foot on the temporary stage "Absolutely Mastermind! Now let's see what our little listeners are going to face next!" Hizashi agreed pulling the leveler and the screens turned over to the second slot machine animation and he patiently waited to see what it landed on.
Then it stopped on the name: Hot Squared.
"Ah, a classic. I had a lot of fun with that game during my second year and I think you played it first year right Gen?" Hizashi said nudging Baki **Indeed.** his companion confirmed.
*For the second round you will form eleven groups of three to four and assigned to a colored square which is made up of four squares of the same color, you will each be put in one of those mini squares and not to leave it until the ten minutes of the game are up.* Himawari-Sempai explained with Hizashi activating the appropriate animation.
Baki pressed some of the other buttons and the field changed having three rows of different colored squares, two rows with three squares and the middle row had five, and Himawari held up a purple sack offered by a robot *Each team will be given a sack that matches your square, your goal for the game is get rid of your sack into someone else's square while keeping the other teams sacks out of yours, how heavy the sack is will be determined by how many points your team collectively has.* He instructed before tossing the purple sack back to the robot.
*For those of you in 41th and 42th your points will be 5 per person with the points getting larger the higher you placed, 1st will be saddled with 2,560 points, keep your place in mind as you form your teams, only four to five teams can move on to the final round. Any team that manages to not have a sack in their square will automatically move on to the final round with the teams with the lowest score of points failing that.* Himawari-Sempai quickly elaborated for the students and Hizashi flashed the score board across the screens.
*You will have five minutes to discuss amongst yourselves what your teams will be, when your teams are made come tell me who your members are, starting now.* Himawari-Sempai told them and Baki started the counter which took over half of the screens, Hizashi watched the students scramble to find themselves teammates.
"Well Gen, any idea for what teams we'll see this year? I know some of 1-A will pair up but with a max limit of four team members, who do you think will be cut from the group?" Hizashi inquired and Baki paused giving a thoughtfully gurgle that was the man's equivalent of a hum.
**I don't know, perhaps they shall instead split into two groups of three and take on an outsider member rather than abandon their fifth member completely.** Baki suggested.
"Ooh, I like that idea much better. What about 1-B then? Any insight on them 'cause I'm leaning towards them grouping together despite the point difference." Hizashi posited and he continued discussing the possible team ups with Baki for the next five minutes.
An air horn blew the second time was up and Hizashi checked the tablet for the list of teams so that he could announce them "Alrighty folks, the time for talk is over and our teams for this round are as followed;" Hizashi declared as he signaled Baki to bring the names and pictures up on the screens.
"Team 'O Collin: with 'O Collin, Haku, Nakano, and Matthias of Class 1-A in the red square.
Team 'O Collin 2: with 'O Collin, Ito, Wakame, and Marie of Class 1-A in the orange square.
Team Honda: with Honda, Matsuura, Yagami, and Haga of Class 1-B in the yellow square.
Team Doi: with Doi, Goto, Iwata, and Otake of Class 1-B of in the green square.
Team Kobayashi: with Kobayashi, Kamei, Fujiki, and Ahane of Class 1-B in the blue square.
Team Gushiken: with Gushiken, Sasaki, Ueno, and Ejiri of Class 1-B in the purple square.
Team Oba: with Oba, Ishizaki, Miura, and Genji of Class 1-G in the pink square.
Team Miyake: with Miyake, Amajiki, and Haya of Class 1-A in the brown square.
Team Hado: with Hado and Mineta from Class 1-A and Togata of Class 1-B in the white square.
Team Kenranzaki: with Kenranzaki from Class 1-F, and Kido, Takao, and Ichihara of Class 1-B in the black square.
And finally, team Yamagata: with Yamagata, Sone, and Nagata from Class 1-G, and Smith of Class 1-E in the Gray square." Hizashi listed off.
The screens showing off the combined points of each team as they moved to their assigned squares and further moved themselves into one of the four different boxes inside those squares, Hizashi was a bit disappointed that this year had the most diversity of teams and that it was only because of Sho's class was missing a chunk of its students.
But c'est la vie, there wasn't anything he could do about it though he was hoping that the second round would be as interesting as the first.
I 100% believe that Hizashi is completely illiterate over text by choice solely because he likes being a little gremlin.
