Charlie rushed into the boys Gryffindor dorimitory because he just had to get away from his homocidal father. But everyone in there was completely unaware of the senseless carnage that had just exploded all over the Weasley's front yard and Charlie decided to play it cool for now and not let anyone know yet that someone was out to kill him...

It seemed to pay off at first... because the first couple of hours that he was back in his old Dorimitory flew by as some of the most joyous times of his life; lots of Gryfindors had heard all about the oldest Weasley brother and had pleasing questions to ask.. But eventually Charlie and everyone went to bed.

Because Charlie was fast asleep by the time Arthur caught up to him he didn't hear the steady splatter of blood as it sprayed unceasingly out of his father's gaping wound like a red carpet unrolled for a murderer.. While he dreamt of something Arthur raised his killing-blade and it shone silver in the moonlight before stabbing Charlie fatally in the brain!

After his despicable deed had dealt dispassionate death upon his last surviving offspring Arthur slipped out as carefully as he could, he took extra care to not slip and fall in the copious blood he'd lost on the way into the darkened sleeping chamber and also not to splash around in it over much because any sound might wake the boys. He didn't worry about leaving bloody footprints or Charlie's body because he remembered from his own days at Hogwarts how Hogwarts had lots of house elfs, and house elfs are always hungry.

"Oh no! Whereever did Charlie Weasley go in the night I thought he was going to Hogwarts again but now he's gone?" Someone cried out early next morning.

Harry blinked his eyes in shock, could all that really be true? He looked at Charlie's empty bed and befouled himself in his shock!

"Charlie?" He asked timidly, afraid of the grim answer in store...

...But Charlie wasn't anywhere on school grounds! No one could find him no matter how hard they searched... That's when a new initiative was concocted to share students between the four Houses so none of the Dorimitory's should be empty in case of the sudden death or disappearance of students!

It was morosely recalled how Padma Patil had so recently lost her twin sister Parvarti to unnexpected sudden death and now this!? It sure seemed like Gryfindor Tower was foundering in a lugubrious sea of loss.

"Poor Gryfindor so many of them are dead recently lets cheer them up and make sure all the extra bed space doesn't go to waste!" Dumbledore cajoled all the other teachers at the meeting they were sharing about the recent demographic crisis.

Part of the problem was that after Ron died in childbirth and then his sister went home none of the Weaslys had come back except that ill fated disappearing Charlie and now the school didn't have any redheaded Weasleys left to roam its lofty halls...

Potions Master Severus Timothy Snape leered unctuously at Dumbledore and shifted in his seat. His tight fitting black robes ran up his chunky thighs in a suggestive manner...

"So you are suggesting we don't let anymore students die or disappear suddenly this semester...?" Snape insinuated silkily.

Lucious Malfoy had recently replaced Profesor Sprout as the Herbology Master because Sprout had suddenly gone missing earlier that week.

Lucious smirked grimly at what Snape just said and the two of them looked like they were leaning in for a high-5 but then thought better of it and just nodded at each other instead in the interest of professionalism and because they didn't want all the teachers knowing they were really quite close and also in cahoots with one another...

"I agree what Snape says," Lucious said, "he brings up a very cognizant point!"

Minerva Gonanagol looked grim, times were rough for her Gryffindor cohorts and now this...

"Hmm. well yes..." Albus stalled and stammered ineffectually.

"Dying is a natural thing that many people go through and as a part of nature it assuredly cannot be stopped!" Snape leered.

It was clear to everyone that Snape made a good point...

"I bet most of us in this room will die someday, how are we suppoused to keep students from doing that if we've never experience it ourselves!?" Minerva wailed in a dervish of sudden confusion.

Trelawney was there but too drunk to follow along meaningfully. She patted Minerva on the shoulder when it appeared the elder woman becamse dispirited but did not contribute anything further.

"Too bad I can just make a bunch of Slitherings room aside the Gryffindors in this there time of loss..." Snape implied vaguely...

Dumbledore raised an eyebrow at this, he was only partially sure he understood where the oily black haired potions-Master was going with this line of reasoning but as he seemed to be the only one with a plan Albus figured he'd better just play along... for now...
