Mackenzie's House:
It was 9:00 and Mackenzie was lying down on his bed as his mother rubs some antibiotics on his stitched up stomach before bed. His father by his side. "Okay Honey, Let's trying to get the tube out." Mackenzie's father said as he gets his son to sit up and holds him down. Then Mackenzie's mother then takes the feeding tube pulls it out as Mackenzie moans in pure agony.
"I know mate, I know." Mackenzie's father said comforting his son as the feeding tube comes out and Mackenzie starts crying. His father then wiped his son's mouth with a towel. "Good Night Baby, We Love You." Mackenzie's mother said as she and her husband give their son a good night kiss and walks out of room. Mackenzie quitely stares at the ceiling. He moans in pain as he feels a burning sensation from his infected stitches. He tries to relax himself and falls asleep.
Mackenzie's Dream:
Mackenzie wakes up in a dark scary forest all by himself. He sits up and looks at some scary looking black trees when all of a sudden he starts to feel something moving in his stomach. He grips it and was in excruciating pain as the stitches pop out of his skin. He falls on his back and starts screaming. A small bloody hand pops out and rips his stomach open as blood starts squirting out. Mackenzie looks at whatever was coming out of his body. It was the mop pup ripping out of his stomach. She was drenched in his blood and was covered in parasites and had an unsettling blank expression on her face. "No! Stop! Get away from me!" Mackenzie yelled as the mop pup puts both her hand onto his chest. She opens her mouth revealing black tentacles as black substance starts dripping from her mouth. Mackenzie stares at the black tentacles. Then the black tentacles start gouging in both his eyes.
Mackenzie finally wakes up from his nightmare. He look down at his stitch up stomach and looks around the room as he was breathing heavily and sweating. He covers his eyes and starts crying. He falls back on the bed and curls himself in a fetal position as he couldn't take more of this hell any longer and cries himself to sleep. A black shadowy figure looks through the window of Mackenzie's bedroom.
The Next Day:
Mackenzie was quietly laying on the living room couch with a red blanket as he was fed through the IV. His father walks up to the IV and disconnects the feeding tube from Mackenzie's nasal tube and the feeding pump and takes the empty feeding bag from the IV pole.
"Ding, Dong"
"I'll get it." Mackenzie's father said as he walks to the door. He opens the door and It was Bandit and the girls who came over to visit Mackenzie. "Hey Mate," Bandit said to Mackenzie's father. "Bandit! Good to see you, Mate." Mackenzie's father said giving Bandit a handshake. "Hi Mackenzie's Dad! Bluey and Bingo said.
"Hi Girls!" Mackenzie's father responded.
"We came over to see Mackenzie." Bluey said wagging her tail as she was excited to see her friend. "Yeah, He just laying on the couch over there."
Bluey and Bingo run inside and sees Mackenzie who was still laying on the couch. "Hey Mackenzie!" Bluey and Bingo said. "Hi Guys..." Mackenzie responded not feeling too happy. "Are you feeling okay?" Bluey said as she and Bingo slowly walk up to their friend. Mackenzie takes a deep breath. "I'm still hanging in the there. My tummy's feeling a bit sore though." Mackenzie responding rubbing his stomach.
"Um Mackenzie? Is it okay if I can see your tummy stitches?" Bingo said wanting to see Mackenzie's stitches. "Um...Yeah sure." Mackenzie awkwardly said as he takes the blanket and shows Bingo his infected stitches.
"Eww, Why does it look like that." Bingo said she and Bluey were disgusted by the sight of Mackenzie's infected stitches.
"Yeah, It's a bit infected." Mackenzie said rubbing his belly. Bingo takes a closer looks at Mackenzie's belly stitches. She puts her hand on his stomach and feels his it throbbing.
"Ewww Mackenzie, Your tummy's moving." Bingo said. Mackenzie moans in response. He then takes the blanket off and sits up. "So, You think your able to play us?" Bluey said wondering if Mackenzie has enough energy to play. "I-I guess I could try." Mackenzie said rubbing his eye. "Okay! How 'bout we play hide and seek?" Bluey said
"Okay...that's fine." Mackenzie responded. "I'm going to Ten. Bluey says as she starts counting as Bingo and Mackenzie run to their hiding places. Bingo hides underneath the tables cloth and Mackenzie hide in the bathtube with the curtain closed. "Ten! Ready or Not, Here I come! Bluey said getting ready to find Bingo and Mackenzie. She goes in the kitchen to look for Bingo. She checks in the cabinets and check in the fridgez "Hmm? I wonder where Bingo might be?" Bluey said to herself. Then she hears a giggle underneath the table. She grabs the table cloth and finds Bingo. "Found you!" Bluey said. "Aw Biscuits!" Bingo responded.
Mackenzie sits in the Bathtub quietly. He holds onto his knees. He starts having flashbacks of his nightmare. His stomach rumbles as fluid leaks from his infected stitches and starts sweating.
"Ah Ha, Found You!" Bluey sound as she opened the shower curtain which startled Mackenzie. "Okay, Who wants to seek next?" Bluey said wondering who will be the next to seek. "Uh, I-I'll do it." Mackenzie said nervously. He then climbs out of the tub and starts counting. Bluey and Bingo run to hide. Bluey goes in the closet hiding behind the coats. Bingo goes in Mackenzie's bedroom and hides underneath his bed.
"Okay, R-Ready or Not, Here I-I Come!" Mackenzie said stuttering. He walks in the hallway looking for Bluey. Bluey watches Mackenzie trying to look for her. "Hehe, He'll never find me in here." Bluey said to herself under her breath. Mackenzie looks in his parent's bedroom. He looks under the bed and and open the closet. He could not find Bluey or Bingo anywhere. He walks out of his parents bedroom as Bluey watches. He then walks in his own bedroom. He rubs his stomach as it rumbles. Bingo giggles under her breath as she watches Mackenzie trying to look for her. His ear perks up as he can hear someone giggling. He turns around look underneath his bed and finds Bingo. "Ha! Found you!"
"Oh! Biscuits! Not Again!" Bingo said frustrated that she was found again. Mackenzie and Bingo walk out of the bedroom to find Bluey. Bluey then feels a tickle in her nose and sneezes. Mackenzie instantly open the closet where he heard the sneeze. "Found You!" Mackenzie said as he finally found Bluey. "Oh! Biscuits!" Bluey said.
"Okay girls! It's Time To Go!" Bandit said as it was time to go. "Coming Dad!" Bluey and Bingo responded. Bluey and Bingo run to there father while Mackenzie follows. "Bye Mackenzie, We'll see you later." Bluey said as she and Bingo hugged Mackenzie. Bluey and Bingo walk out the door with their father as Mackenzie's father waves the Heelers goodbye as is son hides behind him. "Bye Bluey." Mackenzie said as his father closes the door. "Okay Mate, Let's go get your medicine." Mackenzie's father said as it was time for his son to take his medication. Mackenzie follows his father as his hands shaking for the anxiety and the fluid leaking from his stomach.
Adoption Center:
Calypso and Willow where walking down the hallway on the second floor of the adoption Center where the big kids were staying at. "I heard about what happened here on the news. I'm so sorry about Debbie ." Calypso said recalling about what happened to the young doberman. "Yeah, She was such a good young lady. She always loved working here." Willow responded as she was holding Luna in her arms.
"How are her parents holding up?"
Willow takes a deep breath. "They're still very affected. Her mother's been hysterical and her father is currently on suicide watch." Willow said describing how the young doberman's death as impacted her family.
"The police said that they couldn't find any evidence of the cause of the fire. So, They had to close the case." Willow said describing that the case had to be closed since the investigators could find any evidence regarding the fire.
"Oh, I-I am sorry, I can't imagine." Calypso responded how devastated she feels for Debbie's family and the case having to be closed. Then out of no where, A female pitbull bangs at the window which frightens Calypso. She looked be around 13 years old and was white with black patches. She was wearing a muzzle on her face and was missing both her ears and her tail which looked to be mutilated. She also had bald spots, whip scars, and cellulitis all over her body. Her eyes were bloodshot red and dilated. "GET ME OUT!!!! LET ME OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" The pitbull screamed banging through the window of her room.
"Poor Precious." Willow said feeling very bad for the unstable pitbull. "She's been through so much in her life. She was born an addict and was abused physically and sexually. She's been kicked out of eleven foster homes."
"W-Why?" Calypso said as she was very disturbed by the pitbull's aggressive behavior.
"She... would try to hurt and torture the other children. And It's been very hard for us to keep her under control. So, She's gonna go to a mental institution where she may have to stay for the rest of her life. Willow said describing the pitbull's disturbing past as the young pitbull throws her own feces at the window which causes Calypso to gag.
Then the staff members along with the paramedics walk to pitbull's room in order to take her to the hospital. One of the staff members unlock the door with a key. The staff members burst into the room and pin the pitbull down. "LET ME GO!!!!!!" The pitbull screamed. The paramedic take out a syringe and sticks it into the pitbull's back. The pitbull struggles to fight back. The staff members help the pitbull onto the stretcher and buckle her up.
"Hopefully, She'll get the help she deserves. That's basically what happens when your born in a terrible environment." Willow said as she and Calypso watched the pitbull get wheeled out of the room where she will be sent to the hospital to get treatment.
"Oh my." Calypso responded.
"But, Since you've been visiting Luna alot lately. there is a question that I'd to ask."
"What is it?" Calypso responded.
"Would you like to adopt Luna?"
End of Chapter 12:
