Adoption Center:
Williow was brushing Luna's fur in the bathroom. She was brushing the dreads on her head which were covering her white milky eyes. "Okay mate, Are you ready to see the person who is planning on adopting you?" Willow said to Luna as she picks her up from her arms.
Willow heads to the lobby to give Luna to someone who is considering to adopt her. That person was Wendy Chow Chow. "Okay, Here she is Mrs. Chow Chow." Willow said to Wendy. "My Goodness! Aren't you just the cutest thing!" Wendy said holding Luna face with both her hands. Luna jerks her face away from Wendy as did not like her touching her face. Even though she couldn't see her. "Okay, So here's her medication bag." Willow said giving Wendy the medication bag. "Make sure you give her the medicine in the mornings, the afternoons, and before she goes to bed. Oh! and don't forget about the antibiotics and vitamins, including B, C, and D." Willow said to Wendy remembering that she has to give Luna her daily vitamins and antibiotics. "Oh my, That's a bit much don't you think?" Wendy said.
"Yeah, But you'll gets use to it." Willow responded.
"Okay, She all yours." Willow said giving Luna to Wendy.
"Hello Sweetheart, Your coming with me to my home to meet my daughter. I'm sure she's looking forward to seeing you." Wendy said to Luna. Luna didn't respond. Wendy starts feel a little bit uncomfortable as she looks at Luna's unsettling face but shrugs it off. "Well, I suppose I better take this little one home then, I had Doreen look after Judo and she's probably getting impatient."
"I promise you won't regret it." Willow said as Wendy walk out the building with Luna and her mediction bag.
Wendy's House:
Wendy parks her car in the driveway of her house. She gets out of the car and opens the passenger seat. She unbuckles Luna from the booster seat and holds her in her arms. She then opens the trunk and takes out the medication bag and closes the trunk. She heads to the front door but realizes she's got her hands full. So she decides to press the doorbell with her nose.
Doreen who is a Great Pyrenees opens the door. Ah, Wendy! Your Back! Doreen said. "Hey Doreen." Wendy responded as. "I see you brought home the little one you were talking about." Doreen said as she notices Luna. "Yeah, Well know I couldn't help but take her in." Wendy said as she walks inside her house and puts the medication bag down. "Thanks for looking after Judo." Wendy said thanking Doreen for taking care of her daughter. "Oh, It was nothing really." Doreen responded.
"Oh, Now aren't you just the cutest thing." Doreen said holding Luna face. She makes a nervous laugh after getting a little bit creeped out by Luna's unsettling look. But chooses not to criticize Wendy about it. "W-Well, I-I suppose I should go now." Doreen stuttered as it was time to go back to her house which was around the cul-de-sac. "Okay then, See you later." Wendy said as she lets Doreen out of the house. Wendy closes the door As Doreen walks out. Doreen shivers as she was frightened by Luna's unsettling look.
"Judo!" Wendy said calling for her daughter still holding Luna in her arms. "Yes Mum!" Judo responded from down stairs. "Can you come down stairs for a minute!" Judo walks down stairs. "What is it Mum. I was in the middle of my latch hook." Judo said in a fustrated tone. "Now Judo, This is very important so don't start having an attitude with me young lady." Wendy said not wanting to put up with Judo's attitude. "Now, You know have been concidering of adopting someone right?"
Judo takes a deep breath. "Yes Mum." Judo said not too excited about the idea of her mother adopting a child. "Well, I'd like you to said hello to Luna." Wendy said she shows Luna off to her daughter. Judo looks at Luna as her mother puts her on the floor. Judo makes a dirty look a Luna. "W-Why do her eyes look like that?" Judo said looking at Luna's white milky eyes. "Oh, It's because she's blind Judo, she can't see anything." Wendy pointed out. "What do you think? Isn't she a darling?
"I-I don't know Mum. W-Why would you want to adopt a blind dog?" Judo said disgusted by Luna's appearance. "Now Judo, Just because someone as a disability doesn't mean they shouldn't be adopted." Wendy kneel down to Judo's level and holding both of Luna's hands. "Yeah but it's just-"
"No buts missy." Wendy said getting upset with her daughter. "Now, I want you to treat Luna like she's a little sister okay?"
"Now, Bandit has invited us for a picnic at the park with his family along with his brother Stripe and Pat so I need you to be on your best behavior. Wendy said as she was goes to the kitchen to bring a custard pie and a bottle of soda to the picnic. Judo looks at Luna who was sit the floor. Judo scoffs at Luna and walks away.
On The Way To The Brisbane Park:
Wendy drives Judo and Luna to the park to have a picnic with the Heelers and the Labradors. Wendy turns on the car radio. Luna swings her legs and sucks her thumb. Judo looks at the window not wanting interact with Luna still feeling uncomfortable about the idea of her mother adopting her and being a big sister.
Brisbane Park:
Wendy parks her car in the parking lot. She goes to the passenger and unbuckles Luna carrying her in her arms. "Judo darling? Can you help carry the pie for me?" Wendy said to Judo. "Okay." Judo said sighing. Wendy takes and soda bottle with one arm and closes the car door with her foot. Wendy and Judo walk to the picnic table where the Heelers and the Labradors were hanging out. The kids were playing while the adults were relaxing in the picnic chairs and cooking. "Hey Wendy!" Pat said with a bottle of beer on his hand. "Hello Pat, Janelle." Wendy said walking towards Pat and Janelle. "I see you brought the little mate." Pat said noticing Luna. "Here Wendy, I'll put these on the table for you." Janelle said offering the put the custard pie and the bottle of soda to the picnic table. Oh, Thank you so much Janelle, It can be hard to carry this little one and the soda at the same." Wendy said thanking Janelle.
"Yeah well ya know, We already had to deal with Lucky and Chucky So." Janelle responded. "Judo why do you introduce Luna to the other children?" Wendy said putting Luna down. "Do I really have to Mum?" Judo said complaining. "Now Judo." Wendy said getting annoyed with her daughter's behavior."
Judo sighs and rolls her eyes and grabs Luna's hand and walks to her friends. "I swear if she doesn't change that attitude." Wendy said to herself watching Judo walking with Luna.
"Hi Guys." Judo said walking with Luna towards Bluey, Bingo, Lucky and Chucky along with the cousins Muffin and Socks. "Oh! Hey Judo!" Bluey responded. " I-I'd like to introduce you to Luna." Judo said introducing Luna to her friends. Bluey looks at Luna and instantly recognizes her as the lost mop pup she and her school friends had discovered. "Hey! That's the mop pup I told you guys about!"
"You mean the one you and Mackenzie found?" Lucky said.
"Yeah! Exactly!" Bluey responded as all the kids walk up to see Luna.
"Yeah...Well her name is Luna. She's... blind and my mum was thinking of adopting her." Judo pointed out.
"Well that's great Judo, I think you'd be a good big sister." Bluey said to Judo.
"You think so?" Judo replied.
"Yeah, I've always been a good big sister with Bingo. Even though we sometimes have our ups and downs." Bluey and putting her arm around her little sister.
"But, Bluey is still the best big sister I'd ever had." Bingo said.
"Aww Bingo." Bluey said in a heartfelt tone hugging her little sister.
"The samething goes with me and Chucky." Lucky said holding his football.
"I'm the best big sistew in the whole world!" Muffin yelled. "Right Socks?"
Socks happily nods.
"See! told you!"
Socks looks at Judo and shakes her head let Judo know that Muffin isn't the best big sister.
"So you wanna play with us Judo?" Bluey said asking Judo if she would like to play. "Yeah sure!" Judo said as she runs to plays with friends leaving Luna all alone.
Wendy was have a conversation with Chilli and Trixie in the picnic table drinking wine while Bandit and Stripe were cooking on the grill. "I'm glad that your hand has gotten better." Wendy said to Chilli. "Yeah, I been taking physical therapy and learning how to use it again." Chilli said as she is no longer wearing a cast. Her hand had visiable scars from her stitches and bald spots with will no longer grow back. "However, I do have nerve damage so I can't close my hand like I use to." Chilli pointed out as she's not able to close her hand into a fist like she has in the past. So Wendy, are you still considering adopting Luna?" Trixie said to Wendy as they sat across from eachother. "Yeah, I'm still thinking about it. But Judo doesn't seems too exciting about it." Wendy said hold her cup of wine. "Don't worry about it, just give her some time to reconsider." Chilli pointed out. "Yeah." Wendy responded as she looks at Luna who was laying on her stomach touching the grass.
"I gotta admit Luna does have quite an...unsettling look. Almost like she's not..."alive."
Several Minutes Later:
Luna was still laying on her stomach whilst touching the grass and hasn't moved from her spot. A leaf bug crawls on the long grass in front in her. Bingo giggles as she chases a blue butterfly but stops as she sees Luna all by herself. "Hey Luna, Are you having fun touching the grass?" Bingo said walking up towards Luna and laying on her knees. Then she sees a leaf bug crawling on the long grass. "Luna! Look a Leaf Bug!" Bingo gasped as she sees the leaf bug. "Oh, I forgot that your blind." Bingo said remember that Luna is blind.
"I know!" Bingo decides to have the leaf bug crawl on her finger then she helps Luna get up on her feet by holding her hand. Then she puts the leaf bug on Luna's hand. Luna's eyes wide as the leaf bug crawling on her red bracelet. "You like the leaf bug Luna?" Bingo said to Luna. She couldn't see the leaf bug but could feel it's presence. The leaf bug then flies off of Luna's hand. "Bye Leaf Bug!" Bingo said waving as the Leaf bug flies away.
"Alright Kids! It's time to eat!" Bandit said as it was time to eat. "Oh! It's time to eat. Let's go Luna!" Bingo said as she runs to the picnic table holding Luna's hand.
Bingo takes a seat on the picnic table as Wendy picks up Luna as she grabs a plate with a hotdog. The adults hand over the kids some hamburgers and hotdogs. Wendy puts the hotdog on the table and has Luna sit on her lap. "Oh! Time for your medicine." Wendy said as she looks in her purse to find Luna's medicine for her too take before eating. She takes out the syringe filled with medicine and tries to put it in Luna's mouth. "Now, hold still darling." Wendy said struggling to put the syringe in Luna's mouth as Judo watches. Eventually Wendy puts the syringe in Luna's mouth. The medicine drips from her mouth. "Okay there we go." Wendy said as puts the empty syringe back in her purse. Then she picks up the hotdog to feed it to Luna. Luna smells the hotdog and takes a bite. "My Goodness!" Wendy said seeing how much of a messy eater Luna was. The kids giggle was they watch Luna chow down on the hotdog making a mess. "You're a very hungry little one aren't you." Wendy said to Luna as Judo giggles under her breath. Everyone was having a good time at the picnic.
Later That Day:
After everyone was done eating. They all the boys were playing football with while the girls watched eating dessert. The wives were rooting for their husbands. Bluey and Bingo were rooting for Lucky and Chucky. Judo was sitting next to mother watching the boys play. Then she looks at Luna who was sitting by herself on the grass. She starts feeling bad for her and decides to get up on her feet and walk towards Luna.
"Hey Luna." Judo said as she watches Luna touch the grass. Judo still wasn't interested in being a big sister but was very saddened to see Luna all alone. Judo then holds both of Luna's hands and helps her up. Luna tightly holds on Judo's hands and looks up at her. "Hmm? Maybe your not so bad after all." Judo said as she looks in to Luna's white milky eyes. Then blood starts dripping from Judo's nose. Judo touches her nostril and notices she bleeding. "Mum!" Judo yells letting go of Luna and starts running to her mother. Then she starts feeling light headed and collapses. "Judo? JUDO!" Wendy yelled she gets up and runs to her daughter who was passed out on the grass. Bandit also runs to Judo. "Judo! Can you hear me sweetie!?" Wendy said trying to wake up her daughter as everyone watches. She rolls over Judo and sees blood dripping from her nose and eyes. "We Need To Take Her To The Hospital!" Wendy said. "Go start the car! I Got Her!" Bandit said as he picks up Judo's unconscious body and Wendy runs to her car. "Chilli! Look after the kids! I'll meet you at home!" Bandit said running to Wendy's car carrying Judo in his arms. He gets in the car while still holding Judo and Wendy starts the car and drives away. Not realizing that she had left Luna behind.
"Great, Wendy left Luna behind." Chilli said as she pick up Luna in her arms. Everyone in the picnic watches the car drive away before their very eyes.
