Eda took a sip of Apple Blood when she heard a knock on the door to see Hooty throw Lilith into the house then slam the door shut. "What are you doing here Lilith, cause I'm not really in the mood to have the you should join the coven and let the Emperor cure me speech."

"Not this time Eda, the Emperor has put your capture on hold for the moment." Lilith explained getting off the floor. "I'm here on orders from the Emperor himself to find out more information about the mermaid sightings. So, I thought I should see if you could get me a meeting with some of you informants that refuse to follow the law."

Eda sighed then said, "Sorry Lily but my contacts would rather be arrested or petrified then talk to anyone in the coven system. If you would like I can get the info for you, but that's the best I can give you, sorry. Also Are you alright? You seem to have bags under your eyes."

"I'm fine Edalyn just trying to get as much information as I can for the Coven about the mermaids but thank you for worrying." Lilith quickly said. "And if you could, it would be much appreciated if you could tell me when you have the information for me."

As Lilith left Eda couldn't help but be a little worried about how Lilith seemed to be working herself too hard.

With Luz

Luz walked down the street while reading about how mermaids could control the boiling water to a certain degree. "I guess I should have Eda help me see if I can do that too."

"Hey Luz, over here." a voice said.

"No problem, but what is this really about because I know for a fact when it comes to human biology witches and humans aren't that different except the bil sack you guys have counted to your hearts." Luz said, putting the book she was reading away.

One of the girls started to look more scared at Luz's question while the other just rolled her eyes, the one that rolled her eyes then walked over to Luz then whispered, "You see she has a crush on Gus, but she thinks he's got feelings for you."

Luz sighed then said, "Hey Gus you mind if I just talk to them, it seems this is more of girls convocation."

"Okay, I got it." Gus quickly said. "If you guys need me then don't hesitate to call."

Once Gus was gone and out of sight Luz immediately looked towards the two girls and asked, "Okay what makes you think that Gus would have the hots for me?" Both girls looked at Luz as if she said something crazy. "It's a human play on words. It means being in love with someone or having a crush on them."

"But you're a human and he's been abused with humans since he found out about them." one of them explained.

"That might be true but me and Gus's relationship isn't like that besides I kind of have a thing for a girl at school." Luz explained back. "So, no worries. I'm sorry I don't even know your names."

"The names Alex and the girl who has the hot for your friend is Kate." the other said.

"Alex, not so loud." Kate complained.

"This is your problem, Alex; you never have confidence." Alex said back. "Plus, now you know that she isn't in a relationship with him, so you have a chance."

"How can you be so sure, last time I checked she said she has feelings for someone else and even if Gus doesn't have feelings for Luz what about Willow." Kate explained.

"Nope, Willow has known Gus far longer than me and I once asked them if they were a couple." Luz explained. "They said and I quote, "not in this life or another lifetime, that's just weird even for us." so no worries there. And not trying to sound harsh but it seems like you're trying too hard to make it seem like you don't have a chance."

"Because I know that if he rejects me." Kate sadly explained. "It will hurt like boiling rain."

"Well from what I've heard those that try and get rejected are in pain a lot less than those that never even tried and see the one they want walking away with someone else." Luz encouraged. "Love is never easy but would you rather lose the fight without even trying or say that you stepped onto the battlefield."

"See, even Luz thinks you should go for it." Alex agreed. "You got a chance so take it."

"Do you really think I have a chance?" Kate asked.

"As much as anyone else." Lux answered. "You just have to take the first step and talk to him yourself."

"Okay I will." Katte said with a bit more confidence. "Thank you both of you." Kate then ran off to go find Gus again.

"Thank you, Luz." Alex said seeing Kate run off. "She's had a hard time voicing her opinions when she really should."

"Aren't you the same way?" Luz questioned.

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked back refusing to look at Luz.

"You wanted to ask her out, didn't you?" Luz suggested. "But when you found out she liked Gus you put your feelings to the side." Luz then saw a small tear run down the girl's cheek. "You're a good friend and don't worry you'll find love again."

"Thank you for the kind words, Luz," Alex said, wiping the tears away. "I think deep down I needed those words too. See you around Luz and good luck with that girl of yours." Alex, then walked away in the direction that Kate ran off in.

"Thanks and remember the pain won't last forever." Luz said loudly so that Alex would hear her.
