Emperor's Castile

Kikimora quickly made her way to the throne room to see that the Golden Guard was there, but Belos and Lilith weren't. Before Kikimora could ask, the Golden Guard explained, "The Emperor had to deal with something real quick but told me to have both you and Lilith wait here for him. He wanted to hear your reports personally."

"Alright then, and do you know where Lilith might be?" Kikimora questioned not wanting to stand in the same room as the boy.

"She sent a message saying she was meeting with her last contact about the mermaids, and it seems he tried to make a break for it." Hunter answered. Just then the doors opened again, and Lilith walked through dragging a man with a black eye and bloody nose. "Good, you've finally joined us."

"Yes well, having to capture this fool was harder than I thought." Lilith said, using her magic to restrain the man.

"Why'd you bring him here?" Hunter asked.

"The Emperor will want to hear about it as well most likely." Lilith answered. "Where is he? Did I miss the meeting time?"

"No Lilith you're fine." a voice said, the next moment Emperor Belos came in and took a seat on the throne in front of the titan's heart. "What do you two have to report."

"Well, I found out that a great deal of merchants have been illegally selling objects that can hold a mermaid. I also found out about a rumor going around about the potions that require mermaid blood or tears. There were a few others but those were the most talked about." Lilith explained. "This man I captured, was selling a tank that could hold a mermaid and render them powerless. As for who he was going to sell it to, I have yet to find out."

"Then it looks like we have one less thing to worry about then." Kikimora explained. "I was able to sink the ship of a pirate that was fishing near the owl lady's residence. The captain of the ship is Captain Bloodlust."

"Are you sure Kikimora?" Lilith immediately questioned. "I thought you killed him when he dared to try and kill you using your own beast."

"I thought so as well. But it seems he got away." Kikimora growled as a red aura started to surround her. "How he did, even I don't know, but mark my words I am going to kill him if it's the last thing I do."

Hunter felt every fiber of his being go cold and thought to himself, "She's not kidding this time. She's going for blood."

"Golden Guard you are to take a few scoots back to the docks to make sure no ship leaves without first going through you. Kikimora you are to take a ship out to sea and sink any ship that dares to sail without permission." Belos ordered. "Lilith hunt down every merchant that dared to have any business hunting mermaids."

"Understood!" they said in unison.

As they were about to leave the room Belos said, "Hunter a moment before you go."

Lilith & Kikimora left the throne room and Hunter closed the doors and asked, "What is it my Emperor?"

"How was it seeing Kikimora in action?" Belos questioned.

"I'm sorry Emperor but I was hoping to prove that I could something to help," Hunter explained, "But yes seeing Kikimore work up close proved your point that much more."

"Yes, and I need you to stay away from her at the moment," Belos stated. "The one she's going after is a mad man and she has history with him. She will kill anyone that gets in her way."

"Understood." Hunter said before leaving to complete his own task.

Hexside (Lunchroom)

"Thanks again for the books, Amity." Luz said, taking another bit of her sandwich. "And don't worry this time the boxes are in my locker and Eda won't damage them."

"No problem and It helps that you're keeping them out of Eda's house." Amity said back. "We've been having hard time cleaning all the books she's borrowed. Also, might you know where the other twenty books she still has are."

Luz's eyes immediately went wide at remembering what happened to the other books and explained, "Sorry but I think you should tell your boss he is never getting those books back. Not unless he's willing to do something no one should ever do."

"Is it Hooty related?" Amity asked, hoping for another answer.

Luz just nodded her head and looked scared out of her mind.

"You borrowed books from the library." Willow questioned hoping to change the subject. "Are you longing for something about the glyphs again?"

"Not this time." Luz explained. "I'm looking into the creatures of the boiling sea, specifically mermaids."

"Wait, why are you looking into those." Amity quickly asked. "No one has seen a mermaid in years. Not since the blood sea incident."

Luz immediately remembered that mermaids were still being hunted, illegal as it might be, some people didn't care. So she gave the most convincing lie she could make, "Well the thing is me and Eda saw a mermaid close to the Owl House."

"YOU SAW A MERMAIDS?!" Gus, Amity, & Willow all said loudly.
