They stood on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The soft waves lapped at their feet, the world around them quiet except for the sound of the ocean.

Shinkai turned to Ogawa, his expression serious but tender. Ogawa herself is mesmerizing the airplane that flying above them, and with a sudden move Shinkai kissed her.

The kiss was brief, almost cautious. When he pulled back, Ogawa looked up at him, blinking in surprise.

"That was…" she began, then tilted her head and smirked. "That was horrible."

Shinkai blinked, thrown off guard. "Horrible?"

Ogawa didn't respond with words. Instead, she reached up, grabbing the back of his neck, and kissed him back. Her kiss was deliberate and sweet, lingering just enough to make Shinkai lose himself in the moment.

His hands instinctively slid to her waist, pulling her closer as the kiss deepened. When they finally broke apart, both were breathless.

"Now that," Shinkai said with a grin, "was amazing."

Ogawa couldn't help but laugh softly, her cheeks flushed. Before she could say anything, Shinkai impulsively swept her off her feet and spun her around.

"Shinkai!" she exclaimed, laughing as she held on to his shoulders. "Put me down! I'm dizzy!"

He laughed, clearly enjoying himself. "Not until you take back what you said about my first kiss!"

"Okay, okay!" she giggled. "Just put me down!"

Reluctantly, he set her back on the sand, steadying her as she stumbled slightly. His hands lingered on her waist, and he leaned in again, ready for another kiss.

But before he could, Ogawa raised her hand and pressed it against his mouth. "Are you seriously planning to keep kissing me here? On the beach?"

Shinkai paused, his lips brushing her fingers, then raised an eyebrow. "Why not? This is Hawaii. People make out on the beach all the time."

Ogawa shook her head with a small laugh. "Maybe, but we're not Americans."

Shinkai grinned, clearly amused. "Oh, so you're saying we should take this somewhere more private? Like a room?"

Ogawa's jaw dropped slightly, her eyes widening in disbelief. She opened her mouth to respond but couldn't find the words. Instead, she gave him a half-smile, shook her head, and started walking past him.

"You're impossible," she muttered as she passed.

Shinkai turned, jogging to catch up to her. "Come on, Ogawa! Where are you staying? Why not just stay with me?"

Ogawa didn't answer, her steps steady as she continued walking.

"Seriously, think about it!" Shinkai called, falling into step beside her. "I've got a twin room! Totally innocent!"

His words and cheerful persistence echoed behind them as they disappeared along the shoreline, the scene ending with their playful banter fading into the sounds of the waves.
