Nezu scrolled through the various messages sent from the mentors of the students out interning.

Happy to read of the progress each of them was making, whether physically or mentally, by becoming more confident in the field.

Goldman from A-1 was really improving, flying up in the air with Hawks and keeping up at a reasonable pace, and according to Ryukyu Hado was also close to figuring out flight with her own quirk.

Nezu watched the video file of Hado practicing hovering with his tail swaying behind him.

Izuku's predictions for her growth were spot on; she would most certainly be capable of flight before September at this rate.

The young girl giggled as she twirled around in the air in the video, and he was glad that Hado was able to find some enjoyment from her quirk.

Finishing reading her report Nezu moved on to the report for Togata only to flick his tail from annoyance when he saw that Sir had yet to send in the day's report, and he began to drum his claws.

The man had a knack for testing his patience as of late.

Firstly, in continuing to be aggressive with Izuku despite the boy having confirmed he was not on All For One's side and while a step on the grayer side of the morality spectrum was not an antagonistic force by any measure of the imagination.

And yes, he used to be worried about Izuku's intentions as well before they were properly acquainted, but now that he had all of the information to fill in the blanks, he felt safe enough saying that Izuku was a very trustworthy person.

So, the needless aggression from Sir was quite the annoyance.

Secondly, the man's... hm, what would the right word be? Entitlement perhaps? Entitlement in how he interacted with Yagi was also a cause for concern.

Even without the helpful insight from Izuku about the depth of the issue, no quirk use on himself was a clear boundary that Yagi made many years ago and a majority of his inner circle was fully aware of, and Sir chose to cross that line.

And he never made a proper apology for breaking said rule or made the effort to even think of why Yagi's feelings would be hurt by such a betrayal.

If that were not enough to get Nezu to be cross with him, Sir was now giving lack luster reports about Togata's training with him, for no other reason than to be petty he suspected.

Merely clicking on the reports from the beginning of Togata's second internship with Sir showed the level of detail expected from a 'fellow' info gathering hero.

Going through Togata's day at the agency and what he taught to him, how his patrol with the boy went, and any progress made with the boy's quirk training, along with any additional notes, videos, or pictures added when necessary.

The last three though were... bare bones would be a generous way of calling them.

Even Takami had turned in more detailed reports, the language not as eloquent but informative all the same with a plethora of pictures and videos of the two.

The pictures and videos more than likely for Izuku then Ito-San but he would not comment about such things since it was not his place.

Though he was happy that Takami had already patched things up with Izuku, his friend could use some good news about something.

However, that did not mean that he was any less annoyed with Sir's pettiness.

Frankly, Nezu wondered how the man had been able to hide his less pleasant qualities before now.

Perhaps he only got like this when it involved Yagi, but he doubted that, and even if that were true Nezu could not in good conscience merely brush off the behavior.

The fact he was even acting like that in the first place was concerning.

Having a hero of any kind acting entitled to any person was a major reason for concern, it would be for any person but made even worse that said person was someone in authority.

He would need to re-evaluate whether or not to allow Togata to return to Sir's agency later, he would not want Togata to develop any bad behaviors from the man, even by accident.

The sound of his phone's text alert caused Nezu to pause, turning from his laptop he went to look at the message.

Ah, a message from Yagi, he wondered if he had finished thinking about the job offer.

[Yagi]

[Yagi: Hello Nezu-San.]

[Yagi: I and the past wielders have made a decision, and we'd like to have everyone gathered as soon as possible to inform the others.]

Nezu hummed, Yagi had not named which of the two decisions he had made but considering he wanted everyone to gather it was about which of the two he had chosen to be his successor.

Happy to comply, Nezu set to work emailing everyone about a meeting and if they would be available to meet today.

Nezu drummed his claws as he considered 'forgetting' to invite Sir, it would not be hard to lie the man was 'busy' with something else, a breakthrough in a case Sir had been trying to crack for the last month would be rather believable.

Nezu chuffed shaking his head, emailing Sir about the meeting despite not wanting the man to be there.

It would take some time to coordinate but they should be able to have a sit down in the next couple of days.

When all was said and done Nezu was able to get everyone together by the day before the students would return from their internships.

Izuku had, much like Aizawa would, escape to his office to destress and work on his quirk analysis in private, chewing on the rabbit chew he had to keep from mumbling about what he was working on.

Perhaps if he did not know any better, he would feel a bit hurt at Izuku's lack of trust with him, but he understood that part of it was professional integrity as a licensed quirk counselor, and the other was Izuku's protectiveness over his students.

Both things that made Nezu think even higher of his friend, even when he was in a safe place he did not compromise on the safety of his students or their information.

Currently speaking Izuku sat in his office, and they were waiting for everyone else to come and talk, though they did not have to wait for that long.

Haruki, Shuzenji, Tsukauchi, Yagi, Torino and... Sir, arrived and he locked down his office for the talk they would be having.

A sense of awkwardness between Yagi and Sir, one that Tsukauchi could notice and being the only person not at the last meeting meant that he was clueless about the tension.

"Yagi-San, you said that you and the past wielders have made a decision and wanted to inform the rest of us about it." Nezu said to prompt the conversation after he sat back down, hoping to slightly defuse the tension.

Yagi nodded his head, happy for the out and something else to focus on.

"Yes, we have." Yagi confirmed reaching into his bag and pulling out the contract that he and Izuku had offered him during the last meeting and pushed it over to Izuku.

"Firstly, we will be taking the teaching position you and Dr. Midoriya offered me, I believe that my first day would be next year at some point and that I'll be teaching in heroics, yes?" Yagi explained, looking towards him for confirmation in the latter part.

"Indeed Yagi-San!" Nezu cheerfully answered with a clap of his paws "You shall start off as a teaching assistant much like Midoriya-San, and you'll be shadowing the heroics teacher until you finish getting your teaching degree Yagi-San." Nezu elaborated.

"Wait, when did you offer Yagi a position at U.A?" Tsukauchi asked, looking between him and Yagi confused, much like everyone except for Izuku and Yagi.

"Nezu-San and I offered him a job here after the last meeting, as a cover for his decrease in patrolling once Inheritance starts to fizzle out once it's transferred to the ninth wielder, mainly under the cover of Yagi-San stepping down from full-time to part-time hero work in preparation for eventual retirement." Izuku answered, carefully reading over the contract and that everything was signed.

"Hm, that's probably for the best." Torino commented.

"It is, since I'm unsure if Yagi will still have access to Inheritance or any of the other quirks after passing the quirks on." Izuku elaborated passing the contract over to himself, with a small nod that everything was signed correctly.

"Nana, and a few others were still able to use their quirks after passing it on." Yagi spoke up.

"Well, they were quirked before and would likely have it stay in their system for longer, as will you for having the quirks for so long Yagi-San, but I doubt any of them lived for much longer after passing it on and that means we do not have a reliable set of data to work with." Nezu pointed out.

Izuku nodded.

"Nezu-San is right. Even All For One hasn't run any trails about this, killing the Nomus he took quirks from almost right after so we really are playing around in the dark here when it comes to long term effects from passing on Inheritance, there's a good chance that after a year you might not be able to use the quirk at all or speak with the past holders either." Izuku further added to his argument.

Yagi's hands clenched and his shoulders hunched up, clearly uncomfortable with the thought, most likely not wanting to lose the past wielders even with how little time he had known them.

"Yes, I understand... I really hope that won't be the case." Yagi muttered, shaking his head.

"Either well way, I shall be looking forward to working with you Yagi-Kun." Haruki commented, making Yagi smile slightly, a touch more confident.

"Second, we've decided on which of the two 2-A students I'll pass One For All onto." Yagi told them with a state of finality.

Tsukauchi placed a hand on Yagi's shoulder, likely to comfort him.

Shuzenji sighed pursing her lips, upset but resigned, Torino looked much the same.

Haruki, sympathetic to his plight softly began to ask "Okay, which of the two-"

Only for her to be interrupted by Sir.

"Yagi please, allow me to tell you about the boy I found to be your successor before making any final decisions in regard of One For All." Sir requested already pulling out a file not waiting for an answer from Yagi.

Yagi frowned his jaw clenching but said nothing, Izuku also motioned for him to stand down with slight shake of his finger where, so while Nezu wanted to tell Sir to stop he would reluctantly allow Sir to pitch his choice.

"I've been looking for a successor for you for a few years now and, while more restrictive than I'd thought I do believe that Mirio would be a worthy successor." Sir tried to explain, already offering the file to Yagi.

Nezu sharply inhaled and his ears immediately folded back.

Things of the boy immediately rushed to the forefront of his mind.

Togata's change of behavior to being a more humorous hero, his strong efforts to build muscle the last year since he first interned with Sir.

The similarities in appearance between Togata and Yagi.

Similarities that became even more prominent after the boy interned with Sir.

The fact that Mirio had already spent a year of being silently bullied by his class and had issues with self-worth and overly trustful nature according to the files Inui was able to share with the rest of the staff.

Nezu allowed the smile to fall from his face.

The gall of this man.

And he was not the only one to whom understood the implications of what Sir was unintentionally confessing.

His friend's eyes were burning with fury and his jaw clenched so tightly he had a flicker of worry Izuku might damage his teeth.

"You cannot be serious." Izuku heatedly said, a level of unworldly calm he was not capable of at the moment rearing up and letting Izuku's voice remain level.

Sir leveled Izuku with a look, a touch of caution washing over his face before he began trying to defend himself.

"While Mirio's quirk isn't suitable for initial transfer of One For All, if given to Hado first her quirk's protection could then be transferred to Mirio and with his own quirk's-"

"It would kill him even faster, if not instantly." Izuku hissed back cutting Sir off.

Sir frowned and was about to argue but Izuku did not allow him that time.

"Togata-Kun's quirk works through centralized disruption of the boundaries of his own body's matter and is in no way, shape, or form capable of handling Inheritance," Izuku argued, slamming his hands on the table.

"Or if you you'd prefer it in layman's terms," Izuku seethed, his pheromones showing the true depth of his anger, cowing the others into remaining silent.

"Togata's quirk allows him to loosen his body's entire structure, down to the atom, and go through other solid mass with the rules of physics being temporarily circumvented, excluding gravity." Izuku outlined flatly.

"Which is the exact opposite of what Inheritance does by reinforcing the body structure by remaking the density of the entire user's body, from the bones to the muscles and even the very blood cells in their veins." Izuku continued to tell them.

"And if Togata was given Inheritance, God forbid, the two would be absolutely incapable of coexisting within his body, leading to it being ripped apart at a cellular level, with Togata left brain dead in minutes, something that would be even faster if Hado's near infinite levels of energy were added to the mix." Izuku spat at the man.

Most of the group were left staring at Izuku, unsure what to do or simply stunned that someone like Izuku was even capable of this level of rage.

Nezu though was proud of his packmate was able to defend his students so vehemently.

Sir though, did not know when to stop.

"Midoriya-" Sir began to speak but was cut off, not by Izuku, surprisingly.

"No Sasaki." Yagi managed to say.

Sir looked back at Yagi, a touch betrayed, as if he had the right to look like that.

"Yagi, I know you're less inclined to believe that Mirio would be a good pick but-" Sir tried to plea.

"I said no!" Yagi shouted back, shocking Yagi's colleagues, perhaps they had never seen the man snap back at someone.

Yagi included, his hands trembling, and he took a deep fortifying breath trying to calm himself.

"Even if his quirk was compatible, I would not be picking Togata-Kun as my successor. I have already made up my mind on who the Ninth will be and you do not have any say in this Sasaki." Yagi stated, reluctantly looking Sir in the eyes as he spoke.

"One For All, is my quirk and I am the only person who gets to say who can be the Ninth wielder. No one else." Yagi told him before finally turning away from Sir and looking to Nezu instead.

Effectively silencing Sir as he stared disbelievingly at Yagi.

"I believe that Hado would be the best person to take One For All, however I believe that both Amajiki and Hado should both be allowed to decide whether or not they wish to be the ninth, without pressure from any party." Yagi informed them all.

Nezu hummed "And how would you like to go about that?" Nezu asked tilting his head, curious of what Yagi would purpose.

"I'd spoken with the past wielders about this and we think it would be best to speak with both of them with their friends, with Dr. Midoriya to explain everything to them since he's not someone that would make them feel obligated to accept out of principle, as well as fully inform them of the problems of taking One For All." Yagi explained.

Nezu pondered the thought, that would be the best way to go about it.

Izuku would be able to speak to them as an equal, as well as a deeply informed third-party that could be neutral as he explained everything to them all, the only person who would see Izuku as an authority figure would be Miyake, and the boy would not let it cloud his judgement.

"I think that would be for the best, Yagi-San." Nezu agreed, nodding his head.

"Then I think the next step will be to arrange a meeting for us to inform all of them." Haruki commented.

"Not right away, they deserve to rest after they finish their internships." Shuzenji argued.

"Agreed, perhaps sometime next week? I think that would be enough time to rest and resettle into their schoolwork." Nezu suggested.

Tsukauchi turned to look at him "A week? Isn't that a little soon? Wouldn't it be better to wait until the upcoming break?" Tsukauchi questioned.

But Izuku shook his head.

"Unfortunately, no, the sooner they know and start preparing the better off they'll be. As horrible as it'll be, they'll need the time to wear off the shock of a murderous evil overlord while everything is still peaceful." Izuku replied, somberly.

"The brat's right, nothing good will come from hedging our bets when the bastard could strike at any time." Torino pointed out.

Tsukauchi sighed "You're both right, damn it." he muttered, burying his head in his hands.

Yagi was quick to begin rubbing Tsukauchi's back sympathetically.

"Okay, I shall arrange for a meeting with all six of them for next week. I think that emotions have run high once again that we all need to think, and I'm sure that you all have things you need to do." Nezu said, hoping that most of them would disperse after his clear dismissal.

"No. There is still something important that we need to talk about still." Izuku hissed glaring at Sir.

Ah, Nezu should have known better than to think that Izuku would let the matter remain until a later date, which Nezu could not blame the boy for.

Oh well, Nezu would be happy to watch the boy tear another pound of flesh from Sir.

Speaking of which actually.

"Alright, but you'll need to hand over your gun Midoriya-San. I don't think that Tsukauchi-San will be able to overlook you shooting Sir." Nezu told his friend.

The others sat there in confusion at Nezu's words, Sir pursing his lips and seeming to be slightly uncomfortable under Izuku's death glare.

Izuku scowled, tsked then pulled out his gun, walking over to him and leaving it on his desk.

"Your knives too, even if you would be doing the gene pool a favor." Nezu commented.

Izuku grumbled some unkind words in Russian but complied all the same, taking out both of his combat knifes and stabbing into his desk, on either side of him and hilt deep.

"Thank you, Midoriya-San. You may go ahead and interrogate Sir now." Nezu cheerfully told his friend, Izuku shaking his head and turning to glare at Sir, murderous intent raising.

Sir was cluing in that he just might be in trouble from the way he tensed up.

"Okay you boundary-stomping, son of a bitch, we're going to have a nice long talk about you grooming Togata for the last year and if I don't like your answers, you will wish that Nezu-San just let me shoot you." Izuku venomously spat, fully releasing his murderous intent, and drowning the room in it.

Nezu allowed himself to a feral grin.

This was going to be fun.

Outtakes with the past holders Yagi part 5

Hikage the 4th: Okay everyone, we're sitting down with the others, last chance for bets on whether Junior actually kills the all seeing bitch this time

Youchi: We are not betting on Midoriya killing someone

Bruce the 3rd: *Scoffs* Why not? Don't want your kid to be a murder?

Youchi *sputters*

Nana: Now, now Youchi. We know Izuku wouldn't murder anyone here today

Youchi: Thank you, at least someone else here doesn-

Nana: He wouldn't be dumb enough to kill a hero in front of a cop after all, 50 free rides says they'll throw down afterwards

Youchi stares at her, one eye twitching

Hikage the 4th: And everyone's here, betting closed, everyone strap in for whatever bull happens this time

Yagi explains that he'll be teaching at U.A.

En the 6th: So far so good

Second: Hn

Bruce the 3rd: Come on you big green bitch, I got money riding this

Banjo the 5th: We don't even need money

Bruce the 3rd: That's not the point Ukelele

Izuku points out that Yagi might lose his connection with them

Hikage the 4th: Huh, Youchi do you think that might happen?

Youchi: I... don't know. We haven't had two users living for very long at the same time, I think that Nana has the longest time between passing us on and dying, and that was only a couple of days.

Nana: Well even if it does we can still talk to you Yagi when Hado establishes a connection with us

Bruce the 3rd: Or you'll join us up here when you finally bite the bullet

Nana smacks him upside the head

Yagi begins to explain he's picked a ninth

Bruce the 3rd: *leans in and grining* Moment of truth boys

Sir interrupts Yagi

Bruce jumps to his feet

Bruce the 3rd: F*k yeah! I knew he'd bitch about it

Hikage the 4th: Oh C*p, look at Junior and the rat

The past holders fall silent as they watch Izuku rip into Sir

Youchi's hands twitch wanting to write down what Izuku's saying about Togota's quirk but he can't look away and is too scared to ask Yagi to relay his questions

Yagi suddenly interjects and defends his choice while telling Sir off, slightly.

Nana: *clapping* Yes Toshi, this is YOUR choice!

En the 6th: You tell 'em Yagi

Hikage the 4th: *snorts* Did you guys see his face?

Second: *rolls his eyes* As if that fucker has any right to feel betrayed

The meeting seems to be wrapping up only for Izuku to basically go 'haha, no.'

Nana: Oh dear

Nezu tells Izuku to hand over his gun

Banjo the 5th: Are we ever going to have a meeting where he doesn't hand that off?

Nezu then tells him to give up his knives too and Izuku stabs both hilt deep in the desk while cursing in russian

En the 6th uneasy now: I feel like we're missing something now and at this point I'm afraid to ask

Izuku whirls around on Sir and a few gasp holders gasp

Second, very pissed off: 8th, if Junior doesn't, then you better f*king castrate him for us

Bruce the 3rd, equally pissed: And break his kneecaps or I swear to god-

Yagi too shocked for words at the moment and in the middle of a melt down trying to remember if any of Sir's behavior towards other kids was suspicious.
