The apartments that Izuku wanted to make were a very ambitious project Nezu noted.

Counting the basements, each building would have six floors and a total of fifty-eight rooms in each of the thirty-four apartments.

And each of the building would be made with accessibility in mind, both for quirk and possible disability reasons.

Which would only drive the already high costs up even further.

In their final draft of the apartments, at the cheapest planning for the students and staff to bring their own furniture for their rooms the cost was still regrettably in the billions.

Fifty-seven billion to be exact as a startup cost.

That of which was a large sum of money that neither he nor Izuku could simply brush aside.

This was no new problem to Nezu, the cost was the biggest issue he came across when he approached the board before about building on campus dorms.

Building something so expensive would have forced them to increase the tuition to unreasonable levels.

So, Nezu had quietly let the matter drop and began to play the stock market without drawing too much attention to himself, and while he had managed to gather a decent chunk of money it would only cover a little over a fourth of the cost.

And perhaps if they could talk the board members around, they would cover another fourth of the cost but that would still leave them on the hook for twenty-three and half billion yen for the buildings.

Not to mention they would still need to figure out how to cover the maintenance costs for those buildings to prevent the board from making the tuition too high for lower income families applying.

Izuku after a few hours of brainstorming couldn't come up with a way to legitimately make that kind of money without hijacking the lottery and sighed then left the room saying he needed to make a phone call.

Nezu had a great deal of respect and trust in his friend's intelligence, however he had to give himself pause when Izuku returned telling him one of his connections would be willing to cover over half of the money, on one condition.

But Izuku as always explained himself, and who his connection was.

Having Morozov Yuri being the backer was something unexpected, but he would be able to guarantee the money, and his condition wasn't too hard to agree to.

The man simply wanted the original copy of Destro's manifesto to be taught to the students instead of the modern rewrites.

Something Nezu would be happy to help with since the original would provide richer learning for the students.

And having read the book himself he was sure that Shouta would like the questions it would raise in the students minds.

And with the startup covered that would just leave the maintenance costs.

But Izuku too had an answer for that, one that would even let them further manipulate the board to agree to building the dorms.

Once Nezu heard Izuku's solution he started to chuff and eagerly arranged a few things and set up a meeting with the school board and the heads of the four courses.

Izuku had helped him prep the meeting room with the blueprints that Izuku had approved with their prospective contractors, the building timeline promising that all twelve of the buildings could be ready to move into by the start of next year's term.

This would be for the best in the end, giving them time for the students currently attending to gather their things and not be rushed into a new living situation, and then letting them inform the students next year of the coming change they would need to prepare for.

Nezu groomed himself in order to look more presentable, but today of all days he had to get a 'cow lick' this time, he chirped once to get Izuku's attention and chirped again, Izuku's eyes traveling all over him.

Izuku licked his thumb and gently ran it over his fur getting the stubborn curl of fur to finally stick down.

"There." Izuku muttered and Nezu chirped back, licking Izuku's hand in thanks.

Before much else could be said though Nezu's ears picked up on the sound of incoming footsteps.

"The department heads?" Izuku asked, finished with putting together the room and now focused on pouring tea.

Nezu chirped.

"And the board members." Nezu commented picking up on the special heels one of the board members wore, for her 'flat feet'.

Izuku scoffed at that and raised an eyebrow back at him "They're on time for once." Izuku commented, pouring his own his own cup of tea and sitting with him.

Nezu was tempted to climb onto Izuku's lap for some last minute pets but he knew there wouldn't be time from how the group was moving.

"You best have a good reason for waking us up this early Nezu, especially on my days off rat." Yogi irately told him as soon as he opened the door for the others.

Ito looking similarly upset but she was content to let her coworker do the verbal lashing part.

Nezu smiled back at the gathered group.

"Of course I do, we're here to revisit the conversation we had about adding dorms to the school grounds." he cheerfully told them, clapping his paws for extra effect.

"Dorms?" Isamu said questioningly.

Ah, right. Isamu would not be privy to the fact they had considered making dorms before, he hadn't been a part of any of the discussions past or present.

"Yes, Nezu-San and I have already finalized the details and called you to see the plans we've made." Izuku replied motioning to the folders that would left at each of the spots at the table.

"Nezu, we've discussed this at length before," Kuto said pinching the bridge of her nose, no doubt ready to begin her rant.

"And unlike before, I've already secured a majority of the budget for the project and found a company that will be more than reliable for building only the best for the students. The two requirements you set the last time we spoke of building the dorms." Nezu informed her.

"And I do believe that you promised to hear me out should I do so, so please won't you all sit down as we may have a proper discussion on the matter?" Nezu requested, his tail wagging just a touch faster than he normally allowed.

"Where did you get the money for that?" Hara inquired, already sitting down "Last time you consulted me, the numbers were in the billions." Hara pointed out.

"Ah they still are Hara-San, fifty-seven billion to be exact to my current plans." Nezu responded while Izuku went to fetch the whistling pot of tea.

"Again, where did you get even a quarter of the money for such a project?" Hara asked.

"Well, there are some benefits to having a higher IQ Hara-San, I've personally raised nineteen billion myself for the dorms over the years." Nezu happily told her.

"Nezu even if we were to ask for donations from alumni and grants from the commission there would be no way for us to make up the other thirty-eight billion." Daigo told him.

"Then it's a good thing you won't need to contribute more than ten billion, because Spirited. Co have already pledged to give us twenty-eight billion, I believe that would be within your capabilities." Izuku stated as he poured Nezu a cup of tea.

"Spirited Corp!?" one of the older members exclaimed.

Nezu was pleased at their shock and disbelief, Morozov's company was quite famous as the first and only company valued in the trillions.

To have them backing so much of the bill was no minor matter.

"Indeed, I've already moved the money to an account just for the construction project." Nezu gleefully confirmed.

"How in the hell did you get them to pay that much up front?" Daigo demanded.

"I asked." Izuku replied calmly offering a cup of tea to the heads of the departments.

"You?" Kuto exclaimed looking utterly flummoxed.

"Yes, the company president was more than willing to provide the money due to the person we are collaborating with to make the dorms." Nezu cheerfully answered knowing that they would absolutely take it the wrong way.

"Who else are you working with Nezu?" Ito questioned with a scowl even as she accepted the tea cup from Izuku.

A knock on the door prevented Nezu or Izuku from answering because not a moment later Yagi threw open the door "I am here-" Yagi exclaimed but was cut off when Izuku flung the plate he was using at Yagi's head.

The room paused for a moment, Yagi awkwardly holding the plate that hit him and Izuku staring at Yagi looking so tired with the grown man.

A few of his staff looked notably amused at watching Izuku dome the number one with a plate.

"All Might, I do believe that you were warned before not to enter rooms like that, or I'd have Midoriya-San teach you not to." Nezu calmly stated before the board members could begin to panic-correct.

"Yes, yes apologizes Nezu-San and thank you Dr. Midoriya for doing as I've asked." Yagi humbly said waving his free hand placatingly, no doubt told to play along and coached by the past wielders.

"Doctor?" Yogi scoffed.

Izuku rolled his eyes in response.

"I do have a doctorate in quirk science and a license to practice." Izuku replied before moving to sit beside Nezu, All Might taking his own seat.

Shaking themselves from their stupor a few of the board members were of course already greeting Yagi fondly and trying to butter him up.

Thankfully though Yagi cut them off rather soonish.

"Thank you, thank you for being so welcoming, I can't wait to start working here next year and I'm glad that you all are so willing to come today. I know it wasn't easy for Nezu to gather you all, especially over my own concerns." Yagi told them.

"Your concerns?" Hara repeated, and Nezu could imagine her eyebrow would have raised if she would have been capable of it.

"Yes, when I asked Nezu-San to begin working here I expressed concerns over how the press had been harassing the students, a problem I know my presence would only make worse." Yagi shamefully admitted.

"Now, now All Might there is no need to worry over such things, if nothing else we just need to have some of the security posted at the entrance to keep the press away from the students." Kuto tried to assure Yagi.

"While I appreciate the sentiment Kuto-San, that was not my main concern but the safety of the students, since there is a risk that villains might target the students in order to draw me out. It has happened before in a few different countries I worked in." Yagi corrected.

"I'm sure that at least a few of you have heard of the what happened when I visited the tribes in South America twenty years ago." Yagi told the members, more than a few of them flinching at the memory.

Even Nezu couldn't help letting his ears fold back.

South America had been in many civil wars, something that had only gotten worse after the Dawning, as anyone would guess, when superhuman abilities were given to those in a volatile war zone.

The war mongers of the Dawning had left their mark even two centuries later on the continent.

Some factions so blood thirsty and full of themselves that they took kids directly from the camps that All Might was visiting to prove themselves better than All Might.

Kids that had deserved better than what happened to them that day.

"While the risk of something like that happening here, to the kids that go here is low, the chance is not one I am willing to take without knowing that I had done everything in my power to protect them." Yagi said.

"Which is why I shall personally paying for the maintenance costs for all of the students, to assure that they are safe. I understand this is a big thing to ask all of you to agree to do, which is why Nezu and I have already secured most of the money needed for this project." Yagi informed them, playing the pity card pretty well.

"In addition to increasing the students safety, the students will be able to practice important life skills that will help them for the rest of their life." Izuku said opening one of the files.

"Learning to cook and living with people outside of their families." Izuku listed off.

"Taking care of themselves all by themselves in a controlled environment with their homeroom teachers and the rest of the staff there to help guide them. Able to go home whenever they want and the parents can visit daily if they wish to after being register in the school's system." Izuku further explained to the group.

"Okay Speckles that's enough, just walk us through the changes that you and the rat have come up with." Ito snapped.

"With pleasure Ito-San." Nezu happily agreed, his tail wagging knowing that by the end of the meeting the board and department heads would all be in agreement with him and Izuku.
