Just visiting: Yep. Thank you. Tony acknowledges his narcissism, but did nothing to actually change it. Yes, I know. Eh, she might not get any big gigs anymore, but doesn't mean she can't recover in time. There are have been comebacks from people who did worse.

TW: Glad you enjoyed it. Made sense to use Dex, because he'd definitely want payback on Matt.

Mid-day

"Good to see you, kid," Carter said warmly as he pulled Dinah into a hug.

"Not a kid anymore, Carter," Dinah said, her voice annoyed but the smile betrayed her as she returned his hug. "It is good to see you. I just wish it were under better circumstances."

"Me too," Carter said as he pulled back, frowning as he took her in. "I'm sorry about what Bobbi's going through. But we're not giving up until we find her."

"Before or after this psychopath murders her?" Dinah demanded, worry shining in her eyes.

"He won't kill her," Oliver said, speaking for the first time since they'd arrived back and they all turned to him. "Joe's game is about making me suffer. Killing Bobbi would be easy, but there are other ways he can use her to hurt me before that. He's not done with her yet."

When Bobbi came too, she found herself handing from the ceiling, chains around her hands that suspended her a few feet off the ground. She'd been stripped of any weapons, Bobbi realized.

Bobbi had barely started to try and figure out a plan when the door opened and Kane walked in, smirking at the sight of her.

"Hello, Bobbi. Sorry about the accommodations, but you understand. I can't allow traitors to run," Kane said in a mock gracious voice.

"So Oliver got my mother out?" Bobbi asked sounding bored.

"As you knew he would. As I knew he would. Sending that message to him was brilliant. Someone who hadn't studied Oliver and his associates as closely as I have wouldn't have seen that coming. But I have been studying Oliver Queen since the day my father left to collect his debt. It was no surprise that you would find a way to contact him, to alert him to your mother's abduction," Kane said with a smirk.

"If you're gonna torture me, just get on it with it already," Bobbi spat and Kane laughed.

"Torture you? We both know that would be useless. I read the report on the incident with Grant Ward. Yes, I've been able to hack SHIELD servers. Or rather, someone in my employ has. They are not as brilliant as keeping people out as they think," Kane said, laughing at the surprised look on Bobbi's face. "Grant Ward and Agent 33 tortured you for hours, yet you never broke. You can't be broken by mere torture. It's one reason Oliver trusted you in a time he didn't trust anyone, he's the same way. I have bigger plans for you, Bobbi."

Oliver was alone, staring into space when Sara walked up behind him.

"You okay?" Sara asked gently.

"Not really. The woman I love might be in even more danger because of me," Oliver said in worry.

"You said it yourself; Prometheus will want Bobbi alive for now. That gives us time to locate her," Sara reasoned.

"That's what I keep telling myself. But what if I'm wrong?" Oliver wondered uneasily.

"You can't think like that, Ollie. You gotta have hope," Sara said and Oliver looked at her incredulously.

"Who are you and what have you done with Sara Lance?" he asked after a moment.

"I'm taking your advice, trying not to let the past drag me down. Take your own advice, Ollie, Have faith," Sara said gently and he smiled tightly.

"If you're trying to tell me to have hope…I guess I should take my own advice. I'm not giving up on her. Not yet," Oliver said firmly, his resolve strengthened.

In another room, Logan and Dinah stood across from each other, neither sure what to say. Finally, Dinah broke the silence.

"I know you lost your memory, you don't remember much," Dinah began.

"I remember a bit," Logan said, surprising her. "Carter, he gave me this picture of us and Laura before Stryker came for you…and it was like I remembered everything about her. Carter called it my starting point."

"So you remember our daughter. I guess that's the most important thing," Dinah said, a little relieved. "Do you remember…anything else?"

"Bits and pieces are starting to come back to me. I remember throwing this whole dinner after Laura was born, asking you to marry me. And you saying that marriage was just a piece of paper, that all you needed to be happy was to know I loved you," Logan said and it was quiet for a moment.

"That was the last time you asked me to marry you. I thought back on that moment a lot, wishing I'd said yes," Dinah said and it was quiet for a moment. "I know…some of what Stryker did to you. Can I see them?"

Logan didn't need to ask what Dinah meant. After a few moments, Logan raised his fist and summoned three of his claws. Dinah looked like she wanted to jump like, giving the claws a stricken look. After a moment, Dinah hesitantly approached, reaching out and gently feeling the claws on their blunt side.

"What did they do to you?" Dinah asked softly and Logan wondered if she was talking to him or merely thinking out loud.

"I don't remember," Logan said before retracting his claws. "It's all still coming back."

"If anything good has out of this, it's that you came back into Bobbi's life and you're getting your memories back," Dinah said, putting a hand to the side of his face as she smiled sadly. "I don't expect anything from you, Jimmy…Logan. I accepted a long time ago that what we had was destroyed the moment Stryker came after me and Bobbi. Too much time has passed. I will always love you, the way I'm sure you'll always love me when your memories come back. But it's time to leave our past in the past, where it belongs. Just promise me that you will protect our daughter."

"Of course. I wasn't there to protect her growing up, but I will make sure I will protect her for the rest of her life," Logan said and she smiled.

"There's the Jimmy I know," Dinah said before lowering her hand, kissing his cheek. "So…tell me about that blond who keeps giving you looks."

In another part of the building, Oliver, Clark, Sara, Chloe, Natasha, Sam, Clint, Fury, and Charles were meeting with Steve, Tess and Matt, who were sharing what they'd found.

"So Watchtower is compromised, but there's really nothing we can do about it," Sam mused.

"I don't think Darkseid cares about Watchtower. This all seems like a way for Granny to get to Tess. I'm sorry that happened to you," Clark said and Tess smiled tightly.

"Thank you, Clark. But it seems pretty small compared to everything else going on," Tess said with a tired sigh as she ran a hand through her hair.

"When I confronted her, Granny confirmed that Tony's been marked by Darkseid. And she claims that Darkseid has big plans for Tony," Steve warned.

"Stark has always been at the center of things. We need to take him off the board, at least until we figure out a way to get out from Darkseid's thumb," Fury mused.

"Tony's not my favorite person right now, but I don't want him hurt," Clint cautioned.

"And he won't be. We're just going to have to restrain him, keep him locked up until we know how to undo whatever it is Darkseid has done to him," Steve assured him.

"We need to find out everything we can about Darkseid," Clark said in frustration.

"I'll see what I can dig up. This guy has to have been to Earth at some point, people like him leave traces," Chloe said as she began typing at the computer.

"Before you do that, I want you to see if you can set up a trace. Joe is going to try and contact me at some point, to gloat that he has Bobbi," Oliver said as he handed her his phone.

"And you think we can use it to track Bobbi's location," Chloe noted as she took his phone.

"It's the only play we have. And I am not letting Bobbi stay in that madman's crosshairs for a second longer than we have too," Oliver said firmly.

In a darkened room, Goodness walked in before someone entered. Walking into view, she saw it was Adrian.

"Adrian," Goodness greeted calmly.

"Granny. You've made a mess of things," Adrian said with a smirk.

"Tess will come back to me. One way or another," Goodness said with a sneer.

"Even so, Adrian is right. The Dark Lord is displeased with you," the two turned around to see Godfrey. "Were you not a prophet, Darkseid would obliterate you, consume your soul. As it is, Darkseid has ordered you to not stray from his orders again."

"If Lord Darkseid has doubts of my loyalty, he need only confront me himself!" Goodness demanded boldly.

"He has no doubts of your loyalty. Merely concerns about your obsession with Tess Mercer," Godfrey warned.

"She will come to our side!" Goodness snarled.

"She's with the enemy. She has chosen her side, and it's not ours," Adrian said and Goodness fumed. "Either way, don't do it again or face Darkseid's wrath."

"And where are you off too?" Goodness demanded as Adrian began departing from the room.

"Servicing his own obsession. But unlike you, his perfectly aligns with Lord Darkseid's interest," Godfrey said with a smirk.

"Okay, that should do it," Chloe said, handing Oliver his phone back. "Sure you don't want me knowing whenever you get a call?"

"Keeping secrets from my teammates has never gone well for me. If it helps us find Bobbi, I don't care," Oliver said, pocketing his phone. "All we can do now is wait."

"Sounds like I missed a lot," Logan noted as he walked in, Dinah right behind him.

"Nothing of true importance, merely discussing a plan to find your daughter, Logan," Charles said before turning his gaze towards Dinah. "Hello, Ms. Drake. I'm Charles Xavier."

"Hello, Mr. Xavier. Fury's told me a lot about you," Dinah said, walking over and shaking his hand. "I'd heard that Jimmy – sorry, Logan – had joined your X-Men. Thank you, for giving him a home when he didn't have one. He'll put up this big show about wanting to be alone, but he needs someone to help him."

"Even without memories, that doesn't appear to have changed," Charles said, smiling at Logan, who merely shrugged. "Anyone is welcome at my school, should they desire to be there."

Dinah merely smiled before turning to Fury.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect her," Fury said and her smile turned sad at this.

"I don't think anyone could have anticipated this. You did your best to keep your promise to me, so thank you," Dinah told him before turning to Oliver, who straightened under her gaze. "And you must be Oliver. It's nice to meet the man who has captured my daughter's heart so completely."

"Ms. Drake. I'm sorry that you and Bobbi have gotten caught up in my mess," Oliver started but Dinah shook her head.

"Now, enough of that. I was in this life long enough to know the risks. I knew something like this was a possibility long before Bobbi fell in love with you. You feeling guilty isn't going to get my daughter back. So, what are we doing about that?"

Metropolis

Night

"You sure about this?" Logan asked as he and Oliver walked in a darkened room.

"No, but the only other option is to wait for Prometheus to call to taunt me. I don't feel like waiting. Do you?" Oliver asked and Logan snorted.

"Nope. Just want to be sure you know what you're doing," Logan said as they walked over to a man tied to a chair, a bag over his head.

"As much as any of us do," Oliver said before removing the bag, revealing Nylander.

"I already told you, I don't know where the boss is keeping your woman," Nylander said, sounding bored.

"We believe you. But you know something about his plan," Oliver accused.

"And what makes you think that?" Nylander asked sounding bored but they could see the slight flicker of his eyes.

"Because a guy like you doesn't work for someone like Wilson unless he gives you a bit of trust," Logan said confidently.

"You're gonna tell us what you know. The only question is, will you still be breathing when you do?" Oliver asked calmly.

"I don't know anything," Nylander denied although Logan could smell the lie and fear on him.

"Wrong answer, Bub," Logan said, giving Oliver a pointed look.

Oliver pulled out a small knife, which he then approached Nylander with. He tried not to grimace as he stabbed Nylander in the side, the older man crying out in pain as he did.

In the kitchen, Dinah was sitting down, staring into space when a cup of tea was placed in front of her.

"Figured you could use some tea," Sara said as she sat down across from the older woman. "How are you doing?"

"Trying not to think about what Logan and Oliver are doing. I always knew Logan had that side to him but…" Dinah trailed off.

"It's different when you know he's using it for torture. I get it, but we need every bit of Intel we can get. This doesn't end when we rescue Bobbi, it ends when we take down Prometheus," Sara said and Dinah nodded, taking a sip of the tea.

"I know. I just can't help but worry about Bobbi. I always worried that my past would come back to haunt her. In the end, it happened because she fell in love with a man almost exactly like her father," Dinah said with a sigh and a beat passed. "So, they say you're The Canary."

"That's what they call me. I chose it because of a Canary my dad got me when I was a kid," Sara explained and Dinah was silent, staring vat Sara as if measuring her up.

It felt rather intimidating, meeting and being judge by the woman who Logan had loved enough to start a family with, Sara mused uncomfortably.

"You and Logan. Are you two…" Dinah trailed off.

"It's…complicated. He asked me on a date a few days ago, but that was before he found out about Bobbi…and you," Sara said awkwardly.

"He's had a lot to process. I don't know him as well as I used too, but I like to think I know Logan pretty well still, even after everything that's happened. If you're worried his feelings for you have changed, don't be. He's not the kind of man who can just turn off his feelings for someone like that. Try not to worry too much," Dinah said kindly.

"You're…being surprisingly chill about this," Sara said surprised and Dinah laughed.

"What, was I supposed to be a jealous bitch, ragging at you for the crime of loving the man I had once loved? What Logan and I had is something I'll always treasure, but it's been over 20 years. I let him go a long time ago. And I think it's good, for Logan to have another Black Canary in his life. He needs someone to pull him back from the edge and tell him when he's being stupid. I could tell you stories about some of the stupid shit he did before I got pregnant," Dinah said with a laugh.

As she laughed with Dinah, the knot in Sara's stomach loosened.

Elsewhere in the building, Fury handed Tess a file.

"Just like that?" Tess asked skeptically as she took it.

"My spy network specializes in this kind of thing. And without Goodness hiding the truth, it wasn't hard to find," Fury said, pausing. "I'm sorry. It won't be easy to take."

Fury stood there for a moment longer before turning and walking out of the room. Tess looked down at the file for a moment uncertainly before opening it.

St. Louise's orphanage, many years ago

Night

It was raining as Tess' father walked her up the steps to where Goodness was waiting. Tess was unnerved as Goodness smiled at her, her childish mind frightened by the kind looking woman. Goodness took her hand and Tess turned back to her father uncertainly. He patted her on the head in an affectionate manner, but Tess felt no comfort from the gesture. Her father then walked back to the limo, his driver opening the door for him.

"Daddy!" Tess called for him but was ignored as he got in the limo.

The driver closed the door, walking around to the driver's seat as Tess ran down the steps, uncaring of the pouring rain.

"Daddy, wait! Don't leave me!" Tess pleaded.

There was no response as the limo drove off, the license plate reading 'LUTHOR' engraved in Tess' mind.

"Daddy I love you!" Tess cried out.

But the limo did not turn around, leaving Tess crying as she stared after it.

Now

Tess stared down at the birth certificate in the file, listing Lionel Luthor and Pamela Jenkins as the parents of Lutessa Lena Luthor.

"Happy birthday…Lutessa," Tess muttered to herself, a tear falling from the corner of her eye.

In his home, Ross was getting a drink of water when a voice spoke up behind him.

"Nice place," Ross whirled around to see Adrian walk into view. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you."

"Who are you? What do you want?" Ross asked as he put down his water, reaching for the revolver he left under his counter.

You could never be too careful, as this proved.

"My name is Adrian Chase. And you don't need that gun," Adrian said, smirking as Ross stiffened. "I'm about to make you the offer of a lifetime."

"Is that so?" Ross asked skeptically as Adrian smirked.

"I know about Project Icarus. And I thought I'd help you with that," Adrian said, pulling out a folder and placing it on the counter. "Consider it a gift."

Raising an eyebrow, Ross warily opened the file.

"Oliver Queen. He's made a fool of you. He's been to Russia, shortly before Konstantin Kovar was killed. Then he played part in the abduction of Lex Luthor four years earlier. In the earliest known Arrow sighting, Marc Guggenheim, a respected business man and weapons manufacture, had his security assaulted by two men, one later identified as Hydra agent and another wearing a suit that matches the description of the same one The Arrow uses. And then, shortly before Hydra uprising, he was in Canada, shortly before the death of William Stryker, a military scientist," Adrian said as Ross looked through the file, finding pictures of Oliver in all three places, with time stamps being when Oliver was supposedly on Lain Yu. "Kovar's guards and local gangsters were either killed or injured with arrows. Lex Luthor's then girlfriend, Lana Lang, was injured with an arrow. Security footage shows the man who attacked Guggenheim used a bow and arrow. And security tapes from a gas station recovered from Canada shows The Arrow, less than two hours away from where a waitress sighted Oliver Queen. What are the odds of these same two men being at the same place, at the same time?"

"Very good…if Oliver Queen is The Arrow," Ross muttered.

Mostly a filler chapter aside from the ending, but hope you all enjoyed it.

Even all these years later, the revelation of Tess' true parentage is such a great plot twist, mostly because of how unexpected it was.

And now Ross knows the truth about Oliver's double life, something that's bene building up for a while now. We're in the Endgame now.
