And now another bedtime story for all you wonderful readers out there in the big wide world…
So sorry for not having updated earlier, had an exam I had to pass, which I did thankfully.
Hope you guys are doing well out there, wherever you are and following the restrictions against COVID.
I sincerely hope you guys have all had an amazing Christmas and New Years Eve. These are the precious times that we will remember for a long time.
Now to answer to some reviews:
Guest: No. Much like in Age of Ultron when Tony had a hard drive with Friday's AI, Matt has a copy of the same AI which he installed on Earth-1's computers in S.T.A.R. Labs. He installed the copy as he still has Jarvis installed in his suit. Might have Iron Man join the chapters at some point, and a battle between Evelyn and her Earth-1 doppelganger would be awesome. Thanks for the idea. If I have inspiration for the future Flash seasons then maybe, yeah. You're free to come with suggestions to help me along.
xavier pacheco: Maybe, could be interesting to introduce those anti-heroes. But with Marvel, there are so many to choose from. I got a few ideas on which to actually include in the future chapters.
guest: Got Part 3 right here for you, m8. Please do not spoil No Way Home, haven't watched it yet. The cinemas were momentarily closed because COVID being a tidal wave in my neighborhood… and country.
hunter41963801: Thanks for that, my friend. Glad to hear. Your story was interesting.
So, without further ado…
ENJOY!
Chapter 12: Invasion Part 3
"So you got them back?" Caitlin asked Matt through the webcam on her monitor. Seth and Olivia were beside her as she initiated the conversation with the nanite mutant. He told them of their success in getting back the Star City natives from the Dominators.
"All of them are safe and sound." Matt told them. "Granted, Queen's grumpy but we didn't expect anything different, did we?"
"Nope, not at all." Olivia spoke for her brother and his girlfriend.
A chuckle escaped his mouth before Seth looked at the screen with his brother-in-law's face. "Where are you now?"
"On our way, we just had to drop Queen's sister off at Star City." The nanite mutant explained.
"Why?" Caitlin asked.
Matt shook his head. "Didn't ask, must have been thrown for a loop after the mindscape she was subjected to."
"Mindscape? Like, what I can make in people's minds?" Olivia asked in shock, referring to her ability to reconstruct a mindscape within another person's head by reconstructing the events of a memory. She had used this ability on Caitlin once, allowing her to see what she didn't see before when she and Seth broke up.
"Yeah, but it was made to retrieve information and it might have been bigger since it was five people."
"Damn, those Dominator assholes." Olivia said with a groan, actually impressed by their level of ingenuity.
"We're outside now, see ya inside." Matt cut off the connection just as the Waverider landed outside the hangar.
Caitlin turned in her chair, facing her mate. "You really think they wanted information on the metahumans we have on this Earth?" She asked, inquiring the nanite mutant about the reason behind the humans kidnapping at the beginning of the call.
"Sounds likely." Seth said, running a hand down his face. "They must not have seen or had any interest in mutants."
"Or they don't know you're mutants." Caitlin followed up. "Unlike with metas, who have dark matter in them, the only one to scan for a mutant is by having knowledge of the X-Gene. But…"
"What is it, Caity?" Olivia asked the doctor.
"If they only wanted humans to get intel on metas… Wouldn't Ruby have made a much better choice?" Caitlin asked. Her questions made the gears in the mutants' heads turn in realization. "Compared to the legends, Sara and Ray, and the Star City heroes, Oliver, Thea and John, our daughter's metahuman knowledge surpasses them by a landslide."
"Her knowledge pales in comparison to theirs." Seth admitted, tapping his chin. "Why didn't they take her? She was right there."
"Well, one thing those guys all have in common…" Olivia got their attention. "None of those guys have powers."
"That's why?" Caitlin said. "Maybe… But I think it still would have been more beneficial for the Dominators if they took Rubs and not the others."
"Jeez, thanks Mom." Caitlin looked up, seeing Ruby look down at her with a smile from on top of the trailer behind them, a red apple in her hand. "Wanna gift-wrap me and give me to the Dominators? Pink bow and all?" She took a bite out of her fruit.
"Honey, I'd be worried for the Dominators if I did that." Caitlin chortled. Ruby gave her mother a joking wink. "But you have to agree it would have made more sense if they took you?"
"I know you're right, Mom." Ruby said, jumping down from the trailer. "It's pretty weird."
"Let's see what the others have to say!" Cisco shouted, rushing to meet the returning heroes that stepped out of the Waverider. "I can't believe you guys escaped an alien spaceship. Keywords: "Alien spaceship." I have questions."
"They can wait." Oliver answered grumpily. "Thanks for helping me get my sister home." He told Nate.
"Yeah, man." Nate nodded.
Matt walked over to his family. "Hey guys." He saw Ruby grab and hold her neck with a groan. Around the trailer, he saw Frankie and Evelyn, both of them in the same state of pain as their sister. "What happened to your daughters while I was gone?" He directed his words to Seth and Caitlin.
"Two guesses, and they have "Fury" in their names." Caitlin subtly said, accusatorily pointing a finger to the two Fury siblings. "They decided to go all Mortal Kombat on the girls."
"We heal, Mom!" Frankie reminded her worrying mother.
"Not always good enough for me!" Caitlin shouted back.
Martin walked towards the group with Barry and Cisco. Seth, Kara and Sara joined them as the archer asked. "What's our status?"
"Nothing since the Dominators paid their little visit to mess with our heads." Barry said.
"Why would they do that?" Nate asked the other heroes.
Ray suggested. "What if they were trying to pit us against each other in order to gain intel about metahumans?"
"They'd probably wanted intel on Seth and his family, too." Oliver argued.
Olivia gave him a dry look. "I know you didn't actually finish high school, or kindergarten, maybe, but get this through your empty head: We're mutants, not metahumans. There's a difference, day and night."
"I had forgotten how your sister loves to insult people." Felicity commented on the psychic's antics to her brother.
"Tip of the iceberg." Seth quipped.
"I imagine. But man, I wish they would just send us an IM with a questionnaire." The hacker jokes.
"Well, metas and mutants pose the biggest threat to their invasion." Kara noted. "It would make sense they'd wanna get to know their enemies."
"By kidnapping people." Martin agreed.
"Best and classic strategy for sure." Seth added. "They must have searched your heads for potential and fatal metahuman vulnerabilities. And while they're at it, maybe get an estimation of our current forces."
"If their forces overwhelm ours or vice versa." Martin stated.
"Precisely." Seth nodded.
"If they want a number on our forces or search for weaknesses, I think it's time we return the favor." Oliver stated.
"What do you wanna do? Kidnap one of them now?" John questioned.
"Oh, I'm down for that!" Olivia admitted.
Barry pitched in. "Ever since we fought off that one ship, they've kind of been in short supply."
"Actually…" The historian started. "I know where to find one." He walked over to the computers, the others following him. "I've been reviewing old army footage of their first encounters with the Dominators." He searched for the file in question. "And I think I've pegged the fight to…" He trailed off, displaying the footage on the six monitors in front of them. "Redmond, Oregon, 1951."
Everyone watched as human soldiers tried to fight back against the Dominator forces, but they might as well be using rubber bullets against the enemy alien species. Their energy weaponry instantly took down soldier after soldier with shot after shot. Even the rapid gunfire from the jeeps' artillery proved useless and inefficient against the green aliens. Explosions occurred in the video, but were mixed with the sounds of the Dominators roaring and hissing.
Professor Stein realized the historian's plan. "You're suggesting we travel to 1951, abduct a Dominator and interrogate it to determine their intentions."
"They kidnapped us. Seems fair." Sara seemed onboard with the plan.
"Time travel. I'm definitely in." Cisco excitedly said.
"Hold on there." Barry said. "Professor Stein and Caitlin have been talking about a way to take down the Dominators. They could probably use your help."
"We're seriously going with a boring way to take them down?" Ruby complained. "Takes the fun out of it."
"Young lady, you smelled horrible from one fight with the Dominators, I don't want to imagine how you'd smell after taking on a whole invasion." Caitlin countered with a fake stern look.
"Pass." Cisco said with a scowl.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm with him. Mostly because I don't wanna lose my geek cred, but time travel…" Felicity said excitedly with wide eyes.
"Sara, there are weapons on that ship?" Seth asked the Captain of the Waverider who nodded her response. "Matt, you're going with them."
"What?!" Matt shouted. "Why? I'm not a damn babysitter."
Pointing an accusatorily finger at Felicity and Cisco, Seth stated. "Last time those was near a weapon, Caitlin almost lost her head to a damn boomerang."
"What?" Ruby asked in surprise.
"Fine. I will go with." Matt groaned, veins popping all over his forehead from his spiking anger. "Why'd I have to become a babysitter, exactly?"
"Hero-ing is basically a grander title for a glorified babysitter if you think about it." Olivia telepathically told her husband, imagining that an entire city's nothing more than a baby that needs caring.
"But you owe me, Seth!" Matt hissed.
"Whatever." Seth said with a sneer. "You wanna join him, Liv?"
"Sure, why not." Olivia accepted with a sigh.
Nate pitched in. "I could take Amaya and Mick."
"Okay."
"Do it."
Both Barry and Oliver allowed it.
"Yes!" Felicity exclaimed, she and Cisco rushing towards the time ship.
"Come on, hubby!" Olivia tapped her husband's shoulders before rushing after the nerds.
"Coming!" The nanite mutant rushed after his wife in a sprint.
Barry recalled. "And, uh the new president called, which would be cool under different circumstances."
"Wanna get to the point, Flasher?" Seth impatiently asked.
"Yeah, she wants to meet with us." Barry revealed.
"Let's bring Ray and Sara as backup." Oliver stated.
"What about Seth and me? We can do backup." Kara said, the mutant giving her an appreciative look as she included him.
"Let me talk to you for a second." Oliver nodded to the side, Kara giving the others a worried look before walking after the archer.
"Now I wish I had super hearing." The elemental stated as he really wanted to know what the archer had to say to the Kryptonian. He turned to his girlfriend who walked with Evelyn. "You're going?"
"Yeah, think it's time." Caitlin said, wanting to get on with the plan that she and Martin Stein had. "Good luck, call me if something happens." She told her mate with a kiss on his mouth.
"Okay, be careful." Seth turned his head, quickly locking onto Martin. "Yo, Stein! Shake a leg, would you? Caitlin's waiting for you."
"On my way right now, Dr. Fury. No need to rush." Martin told the elemental.
Evelyn threw in her two cents. "Maybe just a little rush. I mean we still have aliens on our doorstep, and they want prod, probe our minds, probably blast us to smithereens and-" Her mother covered her mouth with a hand, stopping her daughter from expelling more of her dark thoughts.
"Honey… Just bring me and Professor Stein to S.T.A.R. Labs." Caitlin instructed.
With the hand still covering her mouth, Evelyn nodded and attached tendrils to her mother and the professor before shadowporting out of the hangar.
Seth smiled to himself, slightly worried at how much his daughter's becoming like him. Turning back to the others, he saw Oliver walk away from a crestfallen Kara Zor-El. "Looks like the Woman of Steel can actually be sad?" He noted in mock shock, recalling the speedster said it seemed impossible for the woman to ever be sad.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
At the facility Caitlin and Martin had already begun working, the doctor's daughters sticking to the ceiling and watching as she and the professor continued working. Their mother had gone off somewhere, not leaving a message behind for them.
"Think we should help?" Evelyn asked her sisters, somehow managing to stick to the ceiling in a crouched position and eat from a bag of potato chips without the chips falling onto the professor.
"With what? I don't get his science." Frankie said, sitting on the ceiling beside her sister. "Do you, Rubs?"
"A bit." Ruby said with her eyes locked onto the two blackboards that her mother and the professor have been using to do their research. "I've seen something similar from my HYDRA school days, but it's not much."
"Think you're on the path to becoming a scientist?" Frankie teased.
"Don't know." Ruby shrugged her shoulders. "Haven't given much thought to the future except for continuing to be Genysis. What about you two?" She faced her sisters, wondering what their goals are for the future.
"Not really." Frankie shook her head.
"Same." Evelyn admitted.
Three young heroes set on their paths as heroes, wanting to become the best heroes and protectors of their home, but they didn't know what to do about their futures and what they sought after. They didn't have any other goals set for them now.
"Professor." Caitlin walked into the Cortex again. She waved and gave her daughters a smile.
Martin, removing his marker from the board, said. "It's highly unlikely we can fashion a weapon with sufficient force to overcome the Dominators."
Caitlin nodded her understanding. "I was thinking the exact same thing, which is why I invited-"
"So, what if instead we try to attack them with something infinitesimally small." Martin recalled a famous tale. "I'm sure you're familiar with the story of the lion with the thorn in his paw?"
"You used to love telling me that story when I was a kid." Martin snapped around in surprise at the familiar voice. The three girls looked down at the stranger beside their mother. "Hey girls, long time no see." She greeted them, the three of them waved sheepishly.
"Oh. Hello." Martin greeted his daughter who is practically a stranger to him.
Facing Caitlin, she explained. "The lion with the thorn in his paw is a parable. A story about a big, ferocious creature that is felled by something small."
"That sounds fun. Is there a live-action movie of it?" Ruby wondered.
"Haha, no." Lily Stein quipped before walking over to the boards to examine the equations and the results her father and Caitlin have come up with so far. "So, what do you need help with?"
"I'm afraid it's classified." Martin blocked the contents of one transparent board with his body.
Lily's eyes lit up with interest and excitement. "Oh, juicy. Some sort of secret government space weapon, no doubt."
"Who is this lady?" Reap asked her host. "Can we eat her?"
"Don't know, and no, you're not eating her." Ruby told her "other" with a mentally stern voice. But the gravity manipulator truly wanted to know who this woman was, she hadn't seen her before, but she seemed to know who they were for some reason.
Martin chuckled. "Something like that. Only this sort of work is slightly out of my wheelhouse."
Lily struggled not to laugh. "Yeah, if only you knew someone with a PhD in nanotechnology."
The metahuman chuckled. "Unfortunately, Raymond's busy working on other things."
"I was talking about me." Lily confessed, her father gaping his mouth in surprise and confusion. "Did the six years I spent at MIT magically slip your mind?"
Martin was about to answer, but then got a raised look from Caitlin. Her daughters gave him suspicious looks, no doubt curious about his answer. "Of course not." He said while under the watchful eyes of the Snow-Furys.
"Liar, liar, his head's not on fire." Dusk quipped.
"Oh yeah, he totally forgot about this one's education." Evelyn smirked.
"Good." She took the marker out of her father's hand. "Okay, let's get to work." Martin watched his daughter go to work, his eyes shifting between her and her work.

(Redmond, 1951)
Having time traveled through a hole in the fabric of time and space itself from the present to another time, The Waverider landed in Redmond, Oregon in the year of 1951. Upon landing, Gideon turned on the cloaking functionality of the ship and made it invisible.
From the cockpit, Mick Rory removed his latches from the seat and got up. Nate and Amaya followed him. Matt looked to his wife. "You okay?"
"I'm fine, just disappointed." Olivia admitted to the time travelers' confusion.
"Disappointed from what?" Amaya asked.
"Thought it'd be a little bumpier than just "Whoosh you're in another timeline, congrats you win an ugly giraffe!"" Olivia admitted, throwing air quotes.
"You kidding, Liv? We made it. This is the '50s. Oh sick!" Cisco pushed off his seat restraints.
In a flash Felicity pushed off her restraints and bent over, vomiting all over the floor. Matt groaned. "Probably shouldn't have eaten that taco before time jumping, Smoak."
"Well, that's actually because of the time jump. Severe time jumps can cause nausea, temporary deafness-"
Felicity groaned, returning to her seat and spoke. Or tried to speak at least, her words came out in gibberish. ""Thanks for the warning?"" Olivia read her thoughts.
"Linguistic disorientation." Nate finished off.
Felicity groaned through a closed mouth, turning to the psychic who narrowed her eyes. ""Seriously, a warning next time for the newbies…" She spoke. And heck yeah, at least give us a brochure or something." She pushed off the restraints as did her husband before both stood up, stretching their limbs.
"You…" Mick got Cisco's attention. "Clean it up." He got up from his seat. "We're gonna kidnap an alien."
Cisco scoffed as he removed his restraints. "Okay, I know I did not just travel through time so we could stay on this ship."
Mick, Nate and Amaya came to a stop, turning around to face the viber and the hacker. Mick gruffly said. "Ponytail, you're staying on the ship." He directed his words to the hacker.
Cisco looked at the mutants. "Don't tell me you two are okay with this?"
"They got a food fabricator, and I can dive into Gideon's tech." Matt said.
"I'm starving anyway." Olivia pitched in. Felicity angrily faced the three Legends, speaking gibberish again.
"I'll take that as "Have fun storming the castle."" Nate jokes.
"Deadass wrong, Storybook. She said, "Don't you dare leave me behind on this ship."" Olivia turned to the hacker, asking her. "That's not because of us, is it?" She gestured to her and her husband.
The hacker spoke gibberish once more. Matt tapped his wife's shoulder. "Don't ask her anything else, she can't form a single coherent sentence in her state."
Somehow their entire conversation the mutants had with the Star City hacker didn't even reach the viber's ears who was more focused on Nate's words. "Oh, for real? You're gonna use "Princess Bride" against me? Against me?"
Felicity once again felt nausea hit her with the strength of a freight train, vomiting all over the floor for the second time.
Cisco tended to the vomiting hacker as the two mutants looked at each other. "Wanna check out the food fabricator?" Olivia suggested.
Felicity continued to throw up her guts and Matt immediately nodded.

(Present Day)
Back in the present, everyone was doing their own thing. Barry, Oliver, Sara and Ray were preparing themselves for whatever the President had plans for them, but they decided to suit up and meet up with the leader of their country.
But something else was on the elemental's mind. From the ground, Seth turned his gaze to one of the craters, seeing Kara sit on top of it with a heavy and sad look. It looked like the Woman of Steel had been dealt a severe gut punch, and it must have hit more than just her solar plexus to get her to be this sad.
Curious as to what brought this change of mood on, he walked towards the craters.
"What are you gonna ask her?" Venom wondered.
"No idea, actually. Just gonna walk up to her and ask her what her deal is." Seth responded to his "other". He pressed a foot against the side of the crate before walking up the surface. "But I'm confident that this has something to do with her talk with Queenie." He noticed the two of them talking, and it was after that Kara turned sad.
"Yo, Supes!" He got the Kryptonian's attention. "Got room for one up there?"
"Free country, Seth." Kara slid to the side, giving the room he needed to sit beside her. He used tendrils to lift him up and place him on the seat beside her. "Now that I think about it, from what I've gathered, you're the first mutant of this world, right?"
"Well, technically that'd be my sister, she was the first one to be dragged off into this world." Seth said.
"And you jumped after her." Kara chuckled.
Seth gave a shrug. "She's my baby sister, I will help her no matter what… But if she needs someone to help her with her twins, heck no! I'm out." Kara chuckled at his words. "What's with you?"
"What do you mean?" Kara asked.
"According to Barry, it's hard to imagine you being sad. You're proving him wrong." Seth stated with a serious look. Kara bit her lower lip, unsure of what to say. "Wanna share what's on your mind? I can be a pretty good sounding board if you need one. So, you got anything to unload?"
"I…" Kara sighed heavily. "It's Oliver, I think. He pulled me aside earlier and told me… He told me to he wanted to "Minimize my involvement in this invasion.""
"Because you're an alien? Or because of what happened when he and his friends were kidnapped?" It didn't make any sense to the mutant to sideline one of their biggest allies with the greatest powers.
"He said I'm an unknown quantity and that this isn't personal." Kara noted.
"You feel otherwise?" He rhetorically asked, already knowing the answer.
"I do." Kara nodded. "I don't think he trusts me."
"In his little world, unknown variables like you and me tend to get his panties in a twist." Seth stated. "It's smaller than ours, it's not filled with super-powered villains. At least not in the beginning from what I've heard from Caitlin."
""You and me?"" Kara questioned, turning to meet the elemental's eyes. "Oliver wasn't open to you either when you met?"
Seth added. "Nope, cause that boring old green bastard can't handle anything more than human threats. Metahumans came along, those he could handle, I think."
"I don't think, I know." Kara scoffed. "Now he learns about the Multiverse, infinite Earths and being brainwashed from his ordeal with the Dominators. He said he doesn't get unnerved."
"Bullshit." Seth said, tendrils sprouting from his side, slithering down the side of the crater and to the tables. "He definitely got his panties in a twist from that experience. Dumbass probably wanted to feel normal again after that entire mess, like that's possible."
"Are you sure you're not a mind-reader yourself?" Kara quipped, feeling like he already knew everything about her talk with the green archer.
"Nope, but I've already met Oliver's types before on my own Earth. Plenty of them at my Dad's organization." Seth said. Kara gave him a look of confusion. "My Dad's the director of a massive, extra-governmental agency that's devoted to maintaining national and global security, it's called SHIELD. Me, my sister and her husband, Matt, joined in our teen years. We met plenty of assholes with the same attitude as Queen, plenty of them asking us to step back and let them live in the normal world. But they crumbled to pieces the moment their little normal world was pricked with a needle from the extra-terrestrial beings, popping in their faces. In their eyes, I was no different, a guy with powers that didn't threaten their normal world."
"Did it bother you that you met people who didn't want you to use your powers, or if they asked you to step back?" Kara wondered. "How'd you react?"
"Gave them the bird, and continued what I was doing." Kara tilted her head at his words. Seth chuckled at her reaction, slightly surprised by it. He expected her to be surprised by his words, most would be of course. "I decided a long time ago that I would continue to help people even if they don't want me to, even if they don't like me. I don't do what I do to make people like me, whether that's allies or civilians. I do it to keep them safe."
"I guess I can understand that, yeah…" Kara looked forward. "Guess I just like that the people I save look up to me. It lets me know that they trust me and know I can be there to save them in their times of need."
"Granted that's true, it's nice to be appreciated, sure… But I don't do it for that reason, I just protect people. That's my goal." Seth admitted. "But I don't give a rat's ass if Queen's angry about this entire thing or not." His tendril came back, holding a bottle of water in front of Kara who gratefully accepted it. "He can't just go off on you like that."
"What do you mean?" Kara asked. Seth jumped off the crater top. "Where are you going?"
"Gonna give our Robin Hood a little stern talk." Seth said, retrieving his large crystal sword before walking towards the four heroes about to move off to meet with the Leader of the Free World.
"Looks like the President is gonna have to wait a bit." Seth muttered; his eyes locked onto the Emerald Archer.

(Redmond, 1951)
In the kitchen onboard the Waverider, Matt watched as the food fabricator constructed a second cheeseburger. He and his wife visited the kitchen and partook in the treats and free food that Gideon prepared for them with great vigor.
Olivia looked from the other side of the counter and watched her husband take out the cheeseburger and hand it to her. "Thank you, honey." She said biting into the burger. She reared her head back in surprise. "Damn, we should have this fabricator at home, it'll make our lives a hell of a lot easier."
"Because my dad can't cook?" Matt inquired.
"Exactly because your old man can't cook. You remember Pott told us he practically dropped a charcoaled fish on her plate when he handled dinner that one day?" Olivia countered, biting into her burger again. "Gids, please give us the blueprints for that fabricator."
"…"
Matt looked up in surprise, chewing off a bite of his burger. "Gideon, did you hear her?" Once again, no response came. "Jarvis, you there? Figure out what's wrong with Gideon."
"Unfortunately, sir, but Ms. Gideon is currently occupied as am I for the moment." Jarvis replied.
"Do we wanna know why you're both occupied and what you're doing?" Matt asked the AI, who has already returned to his matters with the AI of the future. "Guess not."
"What do you think?" Olivia asked with a serious expression.
"That I need to limit whatever programs or bugs Jarvis has? Yeah, I do." Matt chuckled.
"No." Olivia placed her half-eaten burger back on the counter. "About Seth being forced to give the girls symbiotes. About this mess with villains from both Flashpoint and 616. It's crazier than before. It's like the problems from two different places are making their home on Earth-1. It's scary."
"You know that the only way for Seth to save his daughters, our nieces." Matt told her. "If we were in his shoes, we would have done the same."
"Yeah… But I feel like we should have stayed behind, maybe, back then." Olivia said, referring to the time she and her husband announced their departure from Earth-1. "What do you think would have happened if we did that?"
"Seth would have told us to get back to Earth-616 and focus on our kids." Matt countered. "Family's important to all of us, we'd sacrifice anything to help them even at the risk of our own lives."
"So, if you had the chance or given the option, depending on the circumstances, you'd even risk altering time itself to save me and the twins?" Olivia wondered about her husband's decision in such a situation, stating a serious question.
"Can't say… It's a really impossible question to answer, Livia." Matt answered. "I'd do anything for you and our kids, but… After seeing what Barry's Flashpoint mess has done and the consequences of his actions, I think I'd have massive second doubts about changing the timeline itself."
"Good." Olivia surprised him with his response. "For the kids I'd do anything, same as you, but I don't ever wanna put other people's lives, their futures… their families are at risk just so we can have a better life."
"Good point." Matt chuckled. Noting how silent it was, the nanite mutant wondered out loud. "What do you think Cisco and Felicity are doing?"
"Hating the Legends." Olivia said as she stood up. "Let's check on them, like proper babysitters should."
"Technically, they're never supposed to leave the kids out of their sights, which we've done spectacularly well." Matt countered. His wife showed a hyena-like smile as she moved towards the exit. "And you're happy about it, of course." He smirked and walked after her.

Entering the bridge, the married couple found the viber lying down on the staircase to the Captain's office. Felicity was inside of the office itself, twirling around in a chair by herself. She let out a loud groan from both frustration and boredom. "Do you guys have any idea what's going on out there?"
Cisco sighed. "It's a real-life Spielberg movie. And we're stuck in here."
"Okay." Olivia faced the viber. "How about we kill time with you explaining what's been bothering you this entire time, Cisco?"
"You mean the worst case of FOMO ever while everyone else is out there kidnapping an alien?" Cisco stated.
"No, that's not what she means." Matt said.
"I think…" Felicity walked closer to the viber. "You escaped 2016 to get away from Barry."
Cisco shook his head with a hum. "Excuse me." He got back on his feet, looking between the mutants and the hacker from Star City. "I escaped 2016 so that I could come see the Waverider. And so that I could time travel."
"And…?" Olivia impatiently waited for the inevitable truth.
"And… Also, yes, I wanted to get away from Barry." Cisco confessed, he moved away from them.
"Ha! You realize that's insane, right?" The hacker told the viber. "You're holding a grudge against your best friend when the world is potentially going to end."
"I'm sorry, "my best friend"? He only killed my brother." Cisco reminded them.
"Well, not exactly no." Matt corrected him.
"Okay, you're right, he didn't literally kill my brother." Cisco admitted. "What I mean to say is, he was responsible. Okay, he just needed to save his family, and in doing that, he ended up destroying mine and almost erased Seth and his family."
"Thanks for the reminder." Matt quipped hollowly.
Cisco turned around, his back facing the others as he took in his surroundings again. "You know, all this time traveling, fighting aliens… This is stuff I used to dream about as a kid."
Felicity nodded, walking up to his side. "Yeah, me too."
"Guessing it doesn't feel like a dream now, huh?" Olivia asked, moving closer to the viber's side. He nodded his confirmation. "Must feel weird, huh?"
"Yeah, it does." Cisco confirmed.
Felicity patted his back comfortingly. "Well, exactly, and it's only gonna get weirder. So, that's why we have to be able to rely on our friends."
"I really wish I could right now, Felicity." Cisco turned his eyes to meet the hacker's. "But he's not my friend." He walked out of the office, leaving the others behind.

At the battlefield where the battle between the army and the alien army at Redmond took place, Nate, Mick and Amaya continued with their agreed upon plan. It was Mick's plan where they'd let the army and the aliens fight one another, waiting for the weaker ones in the herd.
But as the battle raged between humans and aliens, Amaya doubted if there truly were any weak ones in the Dominator species. Now after waiting for what felt like forever, the three Legends watched as several Dominators dragged humans away till they stood under their mothership which pulled them up with the tractor beam.
Amaya sighed at the sight of humans being captured by such violent beings. "They're taking off."
"I don't get it." Nate asked, wearing his new armor for the first time that Ray designed and made for him. It's a full suit that consists of red and blue pants, a blue breastplate with a white start in the center of it with red accents around it along with blue shoulder pads. His hands are clad in blue gloves, and he's equipped with arm guards and a red helmet with white and blue accents.
Steel faced the Dominator-riddled battlefield. "Why are the Dominators attacking us then just leaving?"
"It's an RIF mission. Reconnaissance-In-Force." Amaya noted the nature of the Dominators' mission.
"Ah, look." Mick looked back at the battlefield. He and his fellow Legends locked their eyes on the single Dominator alien that's looking around in search of a human. The alien found a human and went to him. "A straggler." Heatwave laughed as the green man grabbed the injured man's leg and dragged him away.
Mick stepped forward and Amaya reminded him, knowing of his volatile and combustible temper and quick action antics. "We need him alive, Mick."
"I'm just gonna rough him up a little." Mick innocently said. But the other legends were confident it would involve his version of a roasting. The three Legends rushed down to the battlefield and quickly made their way to the Dominator. "Hey!"
The Dominator faced Heat Gun user with a snarl, hurling the captured human after him. Heatwave spun back to the green alien, lashing out his Heat Gun and pulling the trigger, a column of bright red flames came out of the nozzle and blasted the enemy.
"Squeal, you pig!" Mick growled while watching his flames come over the screeching Dominator.
Nate jumped into the air, turning into steel and delivered a hard punch to the side of the Dominator's face. The metal blow to his face forced the enemy alien down to the ground, knocking him out. "Wow! We knocked out an alien!" He said in victory as he turned back to normal.
"Why'd you jump in Haircut?" Mick shocked Nate with his gruff question. "I was about to roast this pig!"
"Not exactly a pig, Mick." Amaya corrected and Mick gave a scoff of annoyance. "But at least we managed to complete our mission and capture it alive." She turned to the Heat Gun user and the steel man. "You did leave it alive, right?"
"Yeah. I'm sure it's alive." Nate nervously said while feeling Amaya's eyes glare daggers at him. He curiously stretched out his leg and tapped the down alien's arm. Thankfully, it breathed still, showing signs of still being alive. "It's definitely alive."
"Much appreciated." The three Legends snapped their heads around, coming face to face with a pale man with black hair and glasses in a black suit. "Well done." Suddenly various men in similar suits appeared from behind the downed or flipped vehicles, surrounding the three heroes. Each one of them are armed with firearms, each one aimed at the three heroes.
The one with glasses walked closer to them and the downed Dominator. "I see that you've managed to catch us a specimen."
Steel faced the agent. "Well, I'm afraid we're gonna have to keep this one."
Vixen asked the agent. "Who are you?"
The agent took out his badge. "Just a humble civil servant."
Mick just got a glance of his badge before admitting. "I don't like guys with badges."
"Easy, Mick." Nate stopped his friend from attacking the agent.
The agent held up his hand and his badge, giving them a calm look as he assured the Legends. "We just wanna ask a few questions."
"We'd love to answer them, but-"
"We're in a hurry." Vixen finished off Steel's sentence.
"And so are we." The agent with glasses replied. He gave a subtle nod to his agents and his agents shot the three Legends with tranq darts. Each of them grunted in pain at the sudden pain.
Steel was the last of them to fall, allowing him to briefly inform the agent. "You don't understand. We're… We're to save the future." He managed to get out, his vision turned blurry as the agent looked down at him.
"And you can tell me all about it…. When you wake up." The agent's blurry voice reached the steel man before he fell unconscious.

(Present Day)
"Hey Queen!"
Oliver, Barry, Ray and Sara turned around at the sound of Seth's shout when they exited the hangar. They saw the mutant walk towards them in a stride. "We need to talk."
"Not time for that now, Seth." Oliver stated, turning around and continuing his walk.
But a series of tendrils wrapped around his arms and legs, lifting the archer off the ground and turning him around. Sara. Barry and Ray looked at the mutant walking closer to them. "Wasn't a request." He released his tendrils' hold on him, letting Oliver fall to the ground and land on his knees.
Oliver gave the mutant an angry glare, getting back to his feet. "You think you can order me around?"
"Yeah, let's get something straight, you do not now, nor will you ever order me around. I actually have a brain, a diploma and a career, and I'm not that sore like you." Seth countered.
"And you have powers." Oliver spat back in rage. "Take that away and what are you exactly?"
"SHIELD Agent with Alpha Level clearance, a doctor, genius, bioengineer and not a moron who sidelines our best ally because of one encounter with bad aliens." Seth replied uncaringly. "But that's not the issue here. What exactly did you tell Kara?"
"None of your business, Seth." Oliver told the mutant.
"You talked to Kara? About what?" Barry jumped in.
"Not much, except for him whining, mostly about his unnerving experience with the Dominators." Seth stated. "And he decides to go back to "normal" by benching our friend who's here to help us."
"I do not get-"
Seth cut him off. "Whatever you say, Queens, but here's the deal with this job; You adapt to whatever comes your way and you rely on your comrades. You don't act like an ass because you're a bit sore from one experience with the enemy."
"Seth, you don't know what it was like for us in there." Ray explained. "It was a whole other world that the Dominators showed us, one where we had our lost loved ones back in our lives and we weren't heroes… We were different people, altogether."
"I know, Ray, I got the briefing and all, and I'm sorry you guys went through that… I really am, I had something similar done to me when I had a sword run through my chest." Seth admitted.
"Sword through your chest?" Sara asked in surprise.
"Long story." Seth replied to the former assassin before facing the archer with a hard glance. "Kara's a nice person, she's all the way from another Earth and helps us with our Earth's problem now. She does not deserve you projecting your issues on her. Apologize to her after you've talked with the president, otherwise, I'm gonna tear you in two."
With that said, Seth turned around and walked back into the hangar, the others leaving for their meeting with the President. The mutant sighed and looked up, shocked to see Kara standing there with a smile on her face. "Thanks." She said gratefully.
"For what?" Seth asked when getting close to the Kryptonian.
"Heard you talking to Oliver back there. Thanks." Kara told him.
"Wow, Super Eavesdropper." Seth joked and she laughed. "I know you don't need anyone fighting your battles, but I don't like assholes like Queen, like at all."
"Thanks still." Kara said. "Means a lot to have a friend in your corner who'd take up something like that."
"That's what friends are for, Supergirl." Seth told the Kryptonian with a mock bow.
Kara stepped back and took a fighting stance. "Since your sister got to spare with me… Wanna fight too?"
"Heck yeah." Seth stated with a wide smile.
The chance to fight an alien warrior with powers granted from a yellow sun is not an offer he could say no to.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
Inside of the workshop at S.T.A.R. Labs, both Martin Stein and his daughter, Lily Stein are hard at work on a method to disable the Dominators that are swarming their city.
"Hey, Dad?" Lily called her father. But he didn't seem to hear her words the first time. "Dad?" Lily called out again, a bit louder the second time.
"What?" Martin jumped in his chair, turning to face the girl that his daughter he did not know about. "Um, I'm sorry."
Lily smiled at her father, nodding to the equipment close to him. "Can you hand me those induction clamps?"
Turning to his side, he found the clamps. "Yes." He picked them up and handed them to his child that he did not know existed.
With a look of nostalgia coming over her face, Lily stated with a happy smile. "This reminds me of that time we stayed up all night building my seventh grade science project. Remember how mad Mom got when she found out you let me drink coffee to stay awake?"
Martin looked emptily. "No." He responded honestly, not recalling that memory. That strange response made Lily turned to her father who corrected himself. "I mean, no, no, I should never… Never have let you do that."
The daughter looked at her father with a weird gaze, looking at him with confusion. "Sorry, will you excuse me?"
"Are you okay, Dad?" Lily expressed her concern for her father.
"I'm just, uh, preoccupied with my work, that's all." Martin sheepishly said. He all but sprinted out of the workshop, rushing past Caitlin and Frankie.
"What's with him?" Frankie asked, looking at Lily for answers. But she received a shrug of her shoulders and a shake of her head as a response.
"I'll talk with him." Caitlin patted her daughter's shoulder before walking out of the Cortex. Exiting it, she quickly found the professor in the hallway, wearing a look of dismay. It was like he was overwhelmed. "You know, you're really taking this whole absent-minded professor thing to a new level."
"I don't know what you mean." Martin faked.
"Professor, I have three teenage daughters in my house, I know how to spot a liar pretty easily." Caitlin reminded the professor who chuckled. "Your daughter. Ever since you've come back, you've treated her like a total stranger."
"That's because she is a total stranger." Martin confessed when facing the doctor. Caitlin looked confused at his words. "Sorry." He apologized when seeing her questioning gaze. "It's just that when I last left 2016 that young woman did not exist." He revealed, pointing a finger at the young woman who's his daughter.
Rapidly blinking her eyes in shock, Caitlin inquired in disbelief. "Wait, you're saying Lily belongs to another timeline? That when Barry created Flashpoint-"
"Unfortunately, this is all my fault." Martin interrupted her, more confusion coming over Caitlin. "You see, a month ago, I interacted with my younger self back in 1987 and unwittingly motivated him… me… to sire a child. So, it's because of my carelessness that… this… Time Aberration exists." He said looking at the reflection of his daughter.
"She is not an Aberration." Caitlin countered. "She is brilliant and funny and a lot like you, just a little less uptight. And like you, she helped me with Frankie when Seth was gone."
"Please stop talking about her like this." Martin snapped his head back to meet the doctor's eyes. "She is not a real person."
Caitlin countered. "She is a real person. She's your daughter." Martin looked away from Caitlin, looking at the Aberration that he had unknowingly created. Seeing him gaze at his daughter which he didn't want to accept as a real person, she asked with fear in her heart. "Wait. When we finish fighting the Dominators, you're going to go back in time and erase her?"
"No." Martin then corrected her. "I'm going to restore the timeline. Unlike your friend, Barry, I have the luxury of fixing my mistakes."
With that said, Martin walked away. Caitlin felt herself stuck to the floor, unable to move from her current spot. She felt a void take form inside of her very being, growing bigger and bigger at the professor's words.
The erasure of a child, an innocent child…. It was something that truly horrified and petrified a parent with fear… And Caitlin felt her heart…
Resonate with those words… thoughts…. And she didn't like it or the unexplainable waves of sadness that followed.

"This is why I hate the government." Mick stated. After waking up from the tranquilizers that the agents hit them with, the Legends found themselves in a cell with a locked door and no other exits for them to use. Amaya and Nate had already woken up.
And they weren't alone as the Dominator they intended to capture themselves was captured and sharing a cell with the Legends now. The alien's strapped to a table.
Mick, while examining his gloves and his hands, asked his fellow Legends. "Can't you two use your powers and get us out of here?"
Looking at him, Nate answered. "Whatever they tranqed us with is screwing with our powers."
Amaya took a look at the alien and saw it waking up. "Hey, he's still alive." She walked towards the other end of the cell, getting closer to the restraint Dominator. "Although, something tells me none of us are gonna be alive for long."
"Wait." Realization hit Nate and he got up from his seat and walked up to Amaya's side. "This is the exact opportunity we've been looking for."
"To get captured?" Mick wondered.
"No." Nate shook his head. "To talk with one of the Dominators."
Vixen nodded her agreement. "And find out what they want with our planet."
Mick chortled to himself. "Well, this is a first. Talking with an alien." He walked up to the other Legends.
Amaya pushed Nate forward, telling he's the one to converse with the Dominator. He accepted and cleared his throat. "Excuse me, Mr. Alien Guy." The Dominator gave a defiant screech, not showing signs of willing to cooperate with them. "Well, he's a peach."
"Get to it, Haircut." Mick impatiently told the historian.
Nate groaned and turned back to the alien. "Look. We just wanna know why you attacked our planet. I mean, we're just down here minding our own business, then you guys just drop from the sky and attack us. Why?"
The Dominator forged a telepathic connection with the Legends. "There has been a recent emergence of metahumans on your planet."
Widening her eyes in realization, Amaya rushed to Nate's side. "Wait, he's talking about the JSA."
"We are here to determine if your kind are a threat." The Dominator revealed.
Before they could ask any further questions, the doors swung open and a swarm of agents, lab scientists and soldiers came out. The same man who had them tranqed before at the battlefield returned to them and pointed a finger to the Dominator. "Let's start with him." Agents had their weapons trained on the Legends. "Rest of you will have to wait your turn."
The Legends didn't want to wait for their turn, but they didn't have any choice and then watched as the agents and scientists wheeled the restraint Dominator out of the room and into another room. The agent with girls gave them a mock smile of assurance as he followed his men.
Few moments later, suddenly the sound of the Dominator's screams echoed through the entire facility that they're inside of. The alien they wanted to communicate with continued to screech in pain, horrific thoughts birthing inside the heads of the three Legends.
Nate gulped. "What do you think they're doing to him?"
"Same thing they're gonna do to us unless we get out of here." Amaya stated.
EXPLOSION
Suddenly the doors exploded, blown off the hinges and flew into their cell. The Legends shielded their faces when seeing the burnt doors bounce off the wall and slid across the floor. A second later a few groans emitted, following with agents flying through the entrance and down to the ground.
Strange sounds of laser firing emitted through the entrance and was followed by both Felicity and Cisco running into the cell. "Oh yeah! Y'all call for tech support?" Felicity quipped in pose.
More explosions emitted from behind them as if on cue, akin to explosions erupting behind the main characters of a popular TV show. Amaya flinched at the sounds of men screaming which came after the sound of a whip cracking against either wall or floor.
"Great. Saved by geeks." Mick thought he was in hell.
An agent came flying into the room and hit the wall close to Mick's head, making him groan in shock. Him, his fellow Legends, and the tech geeks looked to the entrance, finding Angel Fury facing Heatwave with a stern and threatening look.
It didn't help her image as she was holding an unconscious agent by his throat with a single hand. "Who're you calling a geek, you two-bit thug?" She released the agent, letting him fall to the ground with a thud. "Remind me never to save your useless ass."
"Seriously, now you wanna piss off someone?" Cisco questioned her timing.
Nate heard the sound of lasers blasting. "Guessing Matt's here too?"
"Of course he is, his trigger fingers were getting itchy." Cisco joked. "Waverider is ready to take us back to 2016."
Iron Knight appeared behind the two of them and quipped. "Legends, your ride's waiting."
"Perfect timing." Amaya said, moving along with her Legends into the hall. She was shocked at the massive destruction they've done. "Are you guys sure you should have done this? Could affect the timeline, you know."
"We came to babysit Cisco and Felicity, not the timeline, Amaya." Olivia reminded the totem-bearer. The heroes came to a stop when they heard another deafening screech coming from the Dominator. "Is that the Dominator?"
"Yup." Mick uncaringly said.
"If we leave him here, they're gonna kill him." Nate stated.
"So what? He's an alien." Mick continued uncaringly.
Cisco argued. "Just cause they're douches doesn't mean we have to be."
"Debatable." Olivia argued with that answer.
"We gotta send him home." Cisco said.
"Great, double rescue mission." Matt said, inwardly annoyed cause that meant he couldn't blast anything else.
Amaya looked at the viber. "How?"
"Blast a hole in a wall and hope it's close to the time ship?" Matt suggested.
"I meant; how do we get our new passenger home?" Amaya clarified.
"Don't we have one of their ships aboard the Waverider?" Cisco asked.
"Wasn't that thing damaged?" Olivia asked, her husband nodded his confirmation mostly because he accidently shot it. First time being the accident, the other times, not so much.
"Felicity and Matt are gonna help me fix it." Cisco stated.
"We are? / We are?" The two spoke at the same time. Cisco gave them a pleading look and they conceded, agreeing to fix the alien ship with a nod of their heads.
"See?" Cisco bragged.
Olivia gave her husband a dry look. "The kids are not gonna be happy with their Dad like this."
"That one… That really hurts, babe." Matt admitted, placing a hand over his arc reactor that's on his chest.
The sound of the Dominator groaning echoed throughout the entire hallway. "That doesn't sound good." Felicity admitted in horror.
Cisco faced the direction of where the sound was coming from. "Guys, it's up to us to show the Dominators we're better than this."
"Last time, Seth's asking us to be babysitters." Matt said, his helmet turning into nanites and retracted along with the rest of his suit. The others watched as he crouched down near an unconscious agent and pulled out his gun. He checked the ammunition and if there was a bullet in the chamber. "Fine, let's save this dick." He pulled out the other gun of another agent, handing it to his wife.
"Thanks." She accepted it, checking the gun itself just as her husband did. Pressing the emblem on her chest, she let her suit dematerialize into nanites except for her mask and her hair. "Let's go."
"Why are you using guns?" Mick asked.
"Timeline and all that nonsense, right?" Olivia quipped before walking towards the sound. "It's this way."
"We can all hear the scream, Liv." Nate told the psychic.
"But I'm the only one who can hear his thoughts." She countered without facing him.

In the experimentation room, Agent Smith watched the results from the Dominator's experiments. He smirked at the results. "Fascinating." He looked to the scientist and walked to him and the restraint Dominator. "The creature's nervous system is not unlike our own, which means it must be capable of experiencing pain."
The scientist examined his syringe before jamming it into the alien's arm, injecting the drug into it and the Dominator screamed in further pain.
The doors swung open, and Nate rushed in. "Maybe that's why he's screaming." He turned to steel and knocked out Agent Smith with a swift blow to his head. Amaya rushed afterwards and knocked out the scientist with an uppercut.
Amaya faced the Dominator. "Don't worry. We're gonna get you out of here."
"Hey, you got our passenger?" Olivia asked as she stepped into the room.
But the moment she entered, the Dominator glanced at her and suddenly struggled against his restraints. "What's his deal?" Nate asked, pressing down on the alien's chest to try and calm him down. "Calm down, man!"
"Wait." Olivia halted the Legends' efforts as she faced the erratic alien. Her eyes shined with a psychic veil coming over them. "What's wrong?"
The Dominator faced her. "You possess the same capabilities as my species? A metahuman?"
"Something else, actually." Olivia replied telepathically. "What's with you? You don't like me?" She knew there was something more to his sudden erratic reactions to her.
"I can smell it on you… The stench of Klyntar."
"What?" Olivia said in shock.
"Sorry to cut the chat short, but we gotta dash!" Nate reminded her.
Olivia agreed, but decided to keep the alien's words close to heart.

(Present Day)
Back in the present time, Oliver, Ray, Barry and Sara awaited the President's arrival. They've been standing there for some time now, yet the President hadn't arrived yet and the agreed upon time had long since passed. Their patience was growing thinner by the second.
Especially Sara's. "So, where's the President?"
"She's late." Oliver noted with hints of annoyance in his voice.
Atom gave a mild chuckle. "Well, you gotta figure she's got a lot on her plate, what, with the whole alien invasion thing." Barry moved closer to the green archer.
"And her predecessor getting killed." Sara added.
"Hey, um, about what Seth told you before… Was that true?" Barry asked Oliver. "That why she was angry? I didn't know she was capable of being angry."
"It's nothing." Oliver growled.
"We've got movement." Sara announced when seeing vehicles approaching from behind. Seeing that it was four SUVs driving towards them. The cars surrounded them, agents jumping out of their vehicles with large firearms.
The four heroes looked worried as they stood in the middle of armed agents, each one of them having their firearms trained on them. This was not what they expected from the President's entourage.
One of the agents opened the door of a car, allowing the elder agent Smith out. He walked towards the heroes with a fake smile. "I'm sorry. President couldn't make it."
Barry pointed a finger at the elder agent. "Who are you?"
Smith faced him. "If I tell you…" His men cocked their weapons, stating that they meant business. "I'll have to kill you."
Sara looked between the agents around them. "Oh wow, I didn't realize we were supposed to bring guns…" She quipped as the stoic agents kept their guns aimed at them.
"Uh, I think we have a misunderstanding. See, we're the good guys." Ray tried to convince the agents and their leader. "The President invited us here."
"Barry, I think it's time we do something. And fast." Oliver told the speedster in a whisper.
Barry nodded his agreement, speeding into action instantly. One of the agents noticed the movement and pulled his trigger, shooting a bullet. But the speedster snatched it with his fingers, turned it around and placed it against the agent's shoulder.
The Flash sped forward to another agent, pushing his firearm down so the nozzle was aiming at his own foot. Time returned to normal, and the two agents were shot by their own bullets. Barry continued onwards in that manner, knocking out the rest of the agents quickly.
GUNSHOT
The sound of a bullet being fired off reached their ears, hitting Ray's shoulder pad, the bullet ricocheting off it. Green Arrow looked around, facing the direction of the bullet. "Sniper." He deduced.
"On it." Barry stated, speeding away to find the long-range shooter.
From the corner of his eye, Oliver saw two agents get back on their feet. The archer shot an arrow into one of the agents' shoulder. The other moved in close and Green Arrow switched to close-range combat, swinging his bow out to counter the incoming strikes from the agent.
Another agent came back on his feet and, with him, his gun. But White Canary stopped him, using her batons to strike him rapidly and repeatedly. Each blow to his body disoriented him and caused him to lose focus and his grip on his firearm. When it was knocked out of his hands, she continued her assault.
Atom went to another agent that kept opening fire on him, but each bullet did little to no damage as none of them could penetrate his armor. Knocking the gun out of the agent's hands, he punched him several times before clenching his left hand, releasing an energy blast that pushed the alien back.
In a matter of seconds, both Ray and Sara knocked out two agents. Oliver quickly followed their example, knocking one agent down to the ground. Grabbing another by the back of his neck, he threw him into a car. Another agent tried to attack the archer from behind, but Atom delivered an array of punches to him that knocked him down.
Another one came for Ray, but he saw it coming and quickly thrust his fist into his stomach, knocking the air out of him. He grabbed him by the back of his coat and threw him over a SUV, he landed on the ground with a scream.
Knocking an agent down to the ground again, Oliver lowered himself to a crouch and pulled an arrow back. Releasing it, the arrow ricocheted off the ground under a car and flew into the leg of another agent. With the agent in pain from the arrow embedded through his leg, Green Arrow jumped over the hood. His fist connected with the agent's head, knocking him out.
With all of the agents down for the count, the heroes turned to the leader.
WHOOSH
"We're trying to help you. This is how you thank us?" Barry asked him after returning from dealing with the snipers.
Agent Smith countered. "You don't understand. The reason the xenomorphs are here-"
"Is because they have a beef with the metahumans." Sara interrupted the agent. "Tell us something we don't know."
"Like, what exactly have we done to them?" Barry asked the agent.
"Nothing yet." Agent Smith started. "But they see individuals with powers such as yours as a future threat. And, frankly, so do I."
Sara gritted her teeth in anger at how this bastard was working with the enemy aliens. "If you're such BFFs with the Dominators-"
"Then, why don't you call them off?" Oliver continued.
"We know you sent them packing once before back in 1951." Ray stated.
"That was just a reconnaissance mission." Smith said.
"What brought them back?" Barry inquired.
Stepping closer to the speedster, Agent Smith revealed. "You did, Mr. Allen."
Everyone widened their eyes in surprise at the man's revelation. "He knows who you are." Ray noted.
Continuing to glare at the speedster, Smith bluntly said. "You threatened the entire universe when you used your powers to upset the normal course of time."
Ray's eyes widened behind his visor. "You're talking about Flashpoint? How do you even know about-"
"They told us." Smith cut off the Atom.
"I made a mistake, okay, I'm not gonna let it happen again." Barry said in his defense.
"For the past 60 years, we have enjoyed a truce with your so-called Dominators. You broke the truce." Smith stated, each word cutting into Barry's heart like knives.
Green Arrow asked. "What do they want?"
Smith stated. "I've negotiated a deal with them. If Mr. Allen surrenders himself, they will leave us in peace." That deal didn't sit well with the heroes. "You really wanna save the world?" The government man looked at the speedster again.
"Here's your chance."
X
Both teams returned back to the hangar, meeting up with the rest of the heroes. While some of them were slightly surprised from seeing both Seth and Kara groan in pain, both teams gave their briefings in detail. The group that met with Smith was informed of the deal that the government has made with the Dominators.
How Barry's time traveling ruptured the natural course of time and the Dominators saw that as a threat, as did the government agent Smith. Because of this, he was expected to give himself over to the enemy aliens and then Earth would be saved.
The other team that traveled through time confirmed the same deal, having heard it directly from the Dominator that they saved before. The rescued Dominator felt grateful and showed his gratitude by sparing the lives of those that saved him. But that courtesy extended to them and them alone, especially not for Barry Allen.
They were given an ultimatum: If Barry did not turn himself in, the Dominators will have no choice but to deploy a weapon that will exterminate all metahumans.
"It's a trap." Sara stated to everyone after hearing of both briefings. "If they're that threatened by metahumans, it's hard to believe they'd be satisfied with just one."
"Yeah, well, if I know Barry, he's gonna wanna be that one." Cisco informed.
"Well, Oliver's trying to talk him out of it." Sara stated.
Nate then asked. "And if he does, what's the collateral damage of the meta-bomb?"
Matt stated. "Projected casualty count is around 2 million non-metahumans."
"Lovely." Seth muttered sarcastically.
"Okay, so what if we negotiated with them?" Nate mused the idea.
Seth gave him a dry look. "Smart as you are, Heywood, you must have noticed that your last chat with the Dominators didn't go so well."
"Not the only thing that happened there." Olivia said, recalling the strange telepathic conversation she had with the Dominator where the enemy surprisingly mentioned Klyntars.
Hearing her words, Seth glanced at her. "What do you mean?"
"Later." Olivia told him via telepathy, empathizing the importance of their talk.
"Well, what've we got to lose?" Nate asked.
Nate wasn't the only one to muse the idea, his captain did the same. "Look, maybe we should contact them."
"And make it fast." John said, walking towards them with Jax behind him. Everyone turned to them. "We got incoming."
"Friday." Seth called out to the AI.
"On it, boss." The AI said, pulling up a worldwide map. Warning marks appearing all over the countries in red colors. "Dominator ships are approaching worldwide."
"Including Central City." Olivia muttered in regret.
Cisco, looking at the locations of the ships, said. "Yeah, but they're not moving or anything, they're just sitting there."
"For now." John stated.
"So much for that truce Secret Agent Man negotiated." Said Ray with sarcasm in his voice.
"So that's what they're doing." Seth realized their plan. "They're trying to leverage us into handing Barry over, by holding the entire world hostage."
"Low-lives." Matt gritted his teeth.
"Contact the Dominators." Sara snapped around, ordering both Cisco and Nate who nodded and moved away to try and contact the Dominator they rescued in the past.
"Seth…" Olivia got her brother's attention. He faced her and her husband joined them as the psychic began. "Don't know how or why, but the Dominators somehow know about Klyntars."
"They know about our species. How?" Venom joined the conversation.
"I said I don't know how but somehow this species is familiar with symbiotes from Klyntar." Olivia repeated. The two male mutants were widened from the piece of information but also knew she was conversing with Venom with her powers. "But I don't get it. How does this universe have any knowledge of Klyntars? I thought they were natives and only existed in the Earth-616 universe."
"Maybe the Dominators know something else about Klyntars." Seth glanced at where Cisco and Nate are, the two of them trying to contact the Dominator via the same device that he used to contact them. "I might need to jump in on this conversation."
He turned back to his family members. "But I think we need more backup, especially with the way things are now."
"And on the off-chance everything goes down south." Matt said.
"What do you want us to do?" Olivia asked.
"Get backup… The kind we're familiar with, please." Seth stated and his family understood his words. "Meanwhile, I'm gonna crash a conversation about the fate of our city and possibly our world, too." He nonchalantly admitted before walking towards Nate and Cisco.
As he walks towards them, he hears Nate tell the viber. "Looks like your friend's not calling you back."
Twirling the communication device around, Cisco informed. "No, he's not, but I got a plan B."
"Mind if I hop on this train?" Seth made his presence known to them.
Cisco looked at him with shock. "Why you wanna help Seth? We don't need muscles on this?"
"I was thinking you might need a bit of terror when talking with the Dominators, though." Seth clarified his intentions. But Cisco knew there was more to this. "But I'll join you guys for this ride." He finalized.
"Fine. But what's the plan B?" Nate inquired of the viber.
Cisco pointed to the comms device in his hand. "If this came from their dropship, and the drop ship came from the mothership, theoretically, I could use it to vibe us up there."
"And if you can't?" Nate had to ask, though the same question plagued Seth's mind.
"Then, I'd be vibing the three of us into the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space." Cisco bluntly said.
"Let's not do that, okay?" Seth quipped.
"Yeah, let's not. Okay." Cisco nodded before holding out his hand with a sharp intake of air. Sharing a nod with the historian, the mutant and him grabbed onto his outstretched hand.
Cisco's eyes flashed as did the other males… Like flashing lights, the vibe came to them… And it worked…
X
…
The next moment… The three heroes found themselves not in the hangar but somewhere else…
…
Taking in the surroundings, they deduced that Cisco's vibe had successfully brought them to the mothership…
…
Turning their heads in another direction, the three of them came face to face with the Dominator that Nate and Cisco have met…
…
The Dominator felt their presence. "What an unusual gift. You appear to be a metahuman as well." The alien looked at Seth. "You are something of a different nature, though."
…
"Correct." Seth admitted.
…
Scoffing, Cisco stated. "I figured you'd cut me and my home some slack seeing as how we saved you back in 1951. Remember that?"
…
"Much has changed on your planet in the last 60 years." The Dominator stated. "The threat of your kind has become imminent."
…
"Listen, ET, we're not a threat." Cisco countered. "Metas, mutants, others… They're protecting this planet."
…
"And besides, the guy who tortured your ugly ass back in 1951 was human." Nate clarified.
…
"But what happens when a man like him inherits abilities like yours?" The Dominator stated the question. "We have seen it happen on countless other worlds." Cisco felt something come over him. "Which is why we must exterminate your kind before the scourge of your planet becomes the scourge of ours."
…
The Dominator looked at Seth. "Something I'm sure the Klyntar in you would find pleasing."
…
Seth widened his eyes. "You know I'm a host?"
…
"From the very second I placed my eyes on you." The Dominator sneered. "To think that the God of The Void's spawns have infested this world as well."
…
"God of the Void?" Seth muttered, feeling his "other" slither shakingly inside of his body. "How do you know of the Klyntars' existence? They're not native to this universe."
…
The Dominator snarled. "As the host to one of his spawns, you should know this better than anyone… Any and all universes have suffered from Knull's wrath."
…
Before any of them could say anything else, the vibe came to an end with a series of flashing lights.
X
As soon as the vibe came to an end, the heroes were brought back to reality. While Cisco and Nate gasped from being brought out of the vibe, the mutant gasped and gagged, his entire body slithering and covered in symbiote mass.
Cisco turned shocked; he's never seen the mutant do this before. It was like the Klyntar within him was acting erratically and trying to actually take control of his host with force. The mutant fell to his knee and Seth held his stomach in pain.
"Yo, you okay, man?" Nate crouched down beside the mutant, who's body is continuing to be ensnared by shifting black symbiote mass.
"Not exactly sure how to describe this feeling." Seth admitted, feeling all of his organs and bones shift around uncontrollably. "But it's not exactly pleasant, though." Shaking his head, he came back up to his feet. "But at least we can agree that the asshole's out of his giant mind."
With a look of horror, Cisco faced Nate and Seth. "What if he's right? What if in using our powers to make the world better, we actually end up destroying it?"
Nate stood up and faced the viber. "Dude, I get it. Barry screwed up."
"Yeah, so did we!" Cisco exclaimed.
"What are you talking about?" The elemental asked the viber.
"Back in 1951." Cisco said with a horrified look.
Sighing to himself, Nate realized the truth in his words. "We messed with time when we freed the Dominator."
"Who's now coming to kill us and the rest of the city if it comes to it." Seth followed their train of thought.
"This whole time I've been mad at Barry…" Cisco said, horrified by his own actions that may as well have damned his home and their world. "Now I'm the one who messed with time. I just wanted to make things right. I only ended up making them worse."
At this point, Cisco realizes what he's done, the exact same thing as Barry has tried to do and what he hasn't done. He realized that the reason why Barry never ran back in time to save Dante and now understood how the speedster felt. He knew first-hand how it feels to try and rectify a mistake but for it only to blow up in their face in a way that caused fallout to affect others more than yourself.
Changing the past can make the present worse.
Seth scoffed. "Can't believe I'm saying this… But now you know what Barry tried before with his little time adventures and his attempts to correct his mistakes."
Granted, he still didn't like them.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
"I'm an idiot." Lily berated herself, watching the result of her work on the monitor as she tried to work on it with her tools. "I can't stabilize the nanomolecular reaction." Caitlin glanced at her, seeing her struggle. "Damn it!" She shouted, pushing her tools away and jumped out of her chair.
The younger Stein member rushed out of the workshop and out of the Cortex in a hurry. Caitlin and the professor faced the young woman rushing out of the Cortex. "Well…" Martin said.
Despite what Martin told her before, Caitlin got out of her chair and told the professor. "Speaking as a daughter, I'm not sure that outburst had anything to do with her project."
"What, you think it's related to me?" Martin inquired.
Caitlin clarified. "She doesn't know that you think she's an Aberration. All she knows is that her father is keeping her at arm's length."
"The world is being invaded by aliens. I don't think this is the time for family therapy." Martin argued.
Caitlin fired back. "It is when the world's best chance at a workable weapon is focused on getting her daddy to love her." Martin looked hesitant. "Trust me, a parent's love can make anything possible. Right now, your little girl needs to know her father's love."
"Perhaps, you're right, my dear. I should listen to the more experienced parent, I guess." Martin admitted with a chuckle.
"If your daughter somehow ends up hosting a phenethylamine-craving symbiotes that turns them into cannibals, then you should definitely take my advice." Caitlin quipped.
"Perhaps when the book version is released, Dr. Snow." Martin chuckled, walking out of the Cortex to follow his daughter. He quickly found his daughter, standing in front of the elevator she's waiting to come to her floor. "Lily?"
She turned around. "Hey. I'm sorry." She sighed. "Mom always said I got my temper from you."
Shaking his head, he assured his child. "No, no, I'm the one who owes the apology. If it feels like I've been keeping my distance, I assure you, it's nothing personal."
Lily bit her lower lip, countering as she said. "Yeah, it feels personal."
"No, I mean, it's not personal to you." Martin clarified. "I'm sorry. I wish I could explain, but my life has gotten rather complicated lately."
"So?" Lily said back. "You raised me to enjoy complexity. That's-" Realization hit her, and she stated her thoughts. "The nanomolecular reaction keeps breaking down because the replication is sequential, not-"
"Exponential." Martin understood his daughter's thoughts. "The reaction requires greater complexity."
"Yeah." Lily nodded with a wide smile. Martin smiled just as widely as his child, his eyes never removing themselves away from her. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Lily asked her father.
With a gulp, Martin confessed wholeheartedly. "Because I truly believe I'm seeing you for the first time." For the first time since coming back to 2016, he was finally able to see her… His daughter.
His phone beeped and he pulled out his phone to examine the message he's received. He scoffed at the message. "What is it?" Lily asked her father.
"My friend Barry. He's about to do something terrible." Martin revealed.

"This isn't up for debate." Barry announced to the team. "It's not even a close call."
"Now I don't even think this moron's thinking properly." Seth thought to himself as he heard the speedster's decision. "What do you think?" He asked Venom. But strangely enough, his "other" didn't respond or say anything.
"Venom? Come on what's going on with you?" Seth asked his partner again, this time a little more impatient.
"… We never thought we'd hear that name." Venom said, referring to the bone-chilling name of the dark god that is the father of all symbiotes. "Not on this Earth."
"The lord of the abyss…" Seth mentally said. "We'll talk about this more, I promise."
"Good." Venom stated.
Barry continued. "I turn myself over to the Dominators, they leave the rest of the world alone. It's simple."
"Your brain needs work." Ruby countered at his definition of "simple."
"No, it's not simple." Felicity countered.
"Barry, it doesn't matter what you've done. You can't do this." John argued.
"It's been an honor to know all of you." Barry told all of his friends and family. "To fight alongside you. Now it's up to you to keep our home safe." He turned around, walking towards the exit of the hangar, intent on handing himself over to the alien species that threaten his home and his planet.
"Idiot." Seth muttered under his breath.
"Barry…" Oliver called out to the speedster. "I'm not letting you leave."
"No offense, Oliver, but you and what army?" Barry questioned the archer. He turned around and met the army of heroes who'd stop him.
Amaya, Mick, Nate and Ray stood beside the archer. Along with them, stood John, Felicity, Kara and Cisco. Barry looked up to the wooden craters, seeing Seth sit on the edge of top one. His daughters are sitting like their father.
"This one." Kara stated. Barry stared at them in disbelief.
"Listen, Red, I don't like you, but when you've got a crew, you don't take a hit for the rest." Mick told him.
"That's actually pretty inspiring." Barry said. "I mean, up until the point that Mick compared us to a bunch of criminals…"
"If you hadn't gotten the memo yet, that's exactly what the Dominators think we are." Frankie reminded the Scarlet Speedster.
"And maybe they're right." Nate stated. "Maybe we do more harm than good, but this is our chance to find out."
"We're not letting you sacrifice yourself." Cisco stated to the speedster's surprise, walking up to him. "There's no way. I don't care if that's what it means to be a hero. You're not a hero to me. You're my friend."
Barry smiled widely, overjoyed that the friendship he had with Cisco was now back again, stronger than ever.
"Bout time, we got a plan?" Olivia asked, joining their talk as she came forward. She walked forward with her husband. "Looks like everything's coming up Barry, right?" Behind her back, she clenched a fist and enveloped it with psychic energy.
"Yeah, they are." Barry smiled widely. "Everything's okay again."
"About that, Barr…" Olivia telepathically called out to him and got his attention-
PUNCH
Everyone flinched when seeing the psychic's fist slam into the side of the speedster's face, causing him to fall down to the ground with a heavy thud. Barry's body twitched on the ground after the devastating blow that hurled him to the ground, close to actually breaking him through the very ground.
"Now… Everything's okay." Olivia showed a big smile.
"What was that for?!" Cisco shouted at the psychic.
Olivia, while pointing a finger at the downed speedster, stated casually. "Jackass here almost erased my nieces and my big brother, I had to get this out of my system, or I wouldn't have been satisfied."
Amaya was sure she saw smoke coming from Barry's cheek, the area of impact. "Maybe you went overboard."
"I don't know the meaning of that word." Olivia said in a mock pout.
Evelyn looked at the speedster's body. "Aunt Liv, you didn't kill him, did you?"
Olivia tapped his leg. There was a reaction and his leg kicked out in response. "He's alive." She assured her niece.
"Do we even wanna know what she would have done if he wasn't?" Nate directed the question to the psychic's elder brother.
"No. No, you do not." Seth stated.
Matt grabbed the speedster by his cowl, pulling him back to his feet. Barry somehow managed to find the strength to stand on his feet again after feeling the destructive strike that met his face. "Seth, I'm positive your sister is scarier than you." He admitted while rubbing his sore cheek, just grazing it with his fingertips felt like a knife was being jammed into him.
"Wimp." Olivia chuckles.
"Yo, guys." Jax got everyone's attention as he and Sara walked towards them. "You know that ship that landed in Central City."
Sara delivered the bad news. "It's opening up."
Oliver and Barry shared a look and the archer declared. "Here we go."
Seth walked over to his brother-in-law. "You gave them the message?"
"In a way, yeah. They'll be here soon." Matt stated.
X
Things had taken a drastic turn very quickly. The support team received reports of multiple ships opening up all around the world. Worse was that something from the Dominators' mothership just passed through Earth's atmosphere, and it wasn't something of insignificant. It was something of a much larger size than anything they've encountered so far and it's falling at an incredible rate.
Only one thing made sense as they realized what happened, the Dominators had already dropped the meta-bomb.
The heroes realized that the ships served as a distraction, redirecting their focus to keep them from stopping the heinous weapon designed to annihilate metahumans.
But they still had to deal with the Dominators' ground forces, keep them at bay while others took care of their mission. While most of the heroes dealt with those, Cisco and Sara will use the Waverider to catch the bomb before it collides with the ground.
Thankfully, both Martin and Lily had come up with a solution and revealed it in the form of small round devices that're mass-produced. When the devices are placed on the individual Dominators, it will cause them indescribable agony.
The native heroes of this world, including those of the Legends, took their stance on a skyscraper's rooftop.
Venom and the others took their stance on the streets. The elemental slammed down in the middle of the streets, holding his crystal sword up high and looked forward. A smog of shadows erupted from behind him, and his three daughters appeared. His brother-in-law and his baby sister hovered behind them.
The six of them looked forward and watched as the Dominators walked towards them.
"This is gonna be interesting." Genysis smirked, showing her massive fang-like teeth.
Looking over his shoulder, the elemental told Matt and Olivia. "The two of you are flyers, stay up there and take care of any reinforcements that might come from up there." He looked at Eclipse. "Eclipse, you take a high spot on one of the buildings, shoot down any flyers you see up there."
Eclipse nodded. "Give me a lift, Unc!" She directed to her uncle.
"Giddy up, Legolas." Matt quipped, grabbing his niece before flying up into the air.
"What about us, Dad?" Frankie asked.
Seth raised his sword, pointing at the army of aliens with his crystal blade. "We're taking a stand right here and we're gonna meet them head-on."
"I like that plan!" Ruby stated, pulling out her Chakram blade. "We're not going easy on them, are we?"
"No way." Seth roared, drawing the Dominators' attention and making them rush towards the three symbiote-bearers. Like a ravenous animal, Venom ran and charged the Dominators and his daughters followed him.
Before even clashing into the mutant and his daughters, several Dominators fell to the ground after arrows with immense darkness and light either embedded their shoulders or their kneecaps.
Genysis looked up, seeing her sister fire off her arrows from the corner of a skyscraper rooftop. She used her serpentine wings to unleash beams of both darkness and light to take down any Dominators coming from the sky.
"Show-off." She smirked, turning around and stretched out her tongue. The tongue wrapped around a nearby lamp post and pulled herself to it. Spiraling around it, she jumped into the air and landed on the lamp. "Get off our planet, you damn bastards!" She shouted, throwing her Chakram Blade after the enemy aliens.
Her spinning blade cut against the aliens, damaging their torsos and their heads, each blow making them shout in pain as the Vibranium blade cut into their bodies. The blade ricocheted off of various Dominators. Clenching her fists, putting immense gravitational energy into each hand, Genysis jumped off the lamp and shot down for them.
A Dominator faced the girl and was met with a small slamming into the side of its face with the force of a meteor, thrusting the alien to the ground so hard the ground cracked. Genysis landed on the ground, her Chakram blade returning to her hand as she spiraled into a jump, lashing out her feet and kicking the Dominators as well as cutting them.
They fell around her in a circle. Landing on her feet again, she swung her tongue around. A Dominator tried to strike her with both of his wrist-mounted blades. But thanks to her expanded senses, the young gravity manipulator grabbed his hands with her tongue, wrapping it around them both. Grabbing her outstretched tongue, she used it as a rope and pulled the enemy alien around.
Swinging him around like a mallet, she knocked several aliens down. Planting her foot into the ground, she threw the Dominator she captured into a bunch of others, a lot of them falling to the ground. "Strike!" Genysis shouted triumphantly as though she had knocked down all bowling pins of a bowling alley in one throw.
"Genysis, down!" Magenta shouted, swiping her arms through the air and threw an array of spiraling car doors like they were throwing stars. Her sister saw them and crouched down, avoiding the incoming attack from her sister. Ruby was shocked to see so many Dominators fall to the ground so quickly, screaming in pain as they were mowed down.
The ferrokinetic came to her sister's side. "You okay?"
"Peachy." Ruby smirked. "Thanks for the save though."
"We promised each other we'd look out for each other's blind spots." Frankie said. "I'm gonna keep my end."
"As will I." The gravity manipulator stated. The two sisters nodded their agreement, turning around so they're standing back to back. The Dominators sneered at the sisters, growling predatorily. "Time to try this out." Genysis muttered to herself, her tongue grabbing her blade and placing it behind her.
She recalled her aunt's voice in her head when she gave her this advice, a technique that not even she could do as an advanced psychic.
"Try and augment your strength with gravity powers. Do it in a smart way that simultaneously increases the weight of your attacks, making each strike deal more damage while decreasing the weight of it, making you move faster than your opponent can react." It was the words her aunt gave her, a technique that suited her close-range fighting style and would work perfectly in tandem with her new healing powers.
Exhaling deeply, Ruby focused on her entire body, feeling the gravitational force channeling through her every vein. A Dominator appeared in her field of vision, one wielding a wrist-mounted firearm. It took aim at the gravity manipulator.
Eyes widened and, in a flash, Ruby appeared in front of the enemy alien. Reeling her fist back, she thrust it into the Dominator's stomach. The alien barely got a chance to counter or even scream when suddenly it was met with an onslaught of furious fists that hit with the weight of a planet and the speed and fury of a meteor shower.
Delivering a straight punch into the Dominator's torso, she watched as the alien was hurled off the ground and hurled into the other Dominators. "Yes!" Genysis shouted, rushing towards the other enemy aliens charging towards her.
Magenta flexed her hands, lamp posts around her broke into several pieces and spiraled in the air over her head. While sharpening the pieces of metal into small dagger-like blades with her ferrokinetic powers, she morphed her right hand into a sword and the other one into an axe.
Roaring at the Dominators in front of her, she launched the metal pieces around her at the enemy. The Dominators fell like dominos and the ferrokinetic rushed towards the ones that didn't fall. The ones that didn't meet her blade and axe, crossing blades with her, only to be overwhelmed as the symbiote weaponry crushed the Dominator weaponry with ease.
She swung her blades and brought down a Dominator. One of them tried to shoot her, but she saw it and jumped into the air in a backflip. She landed on that Dominator's head, pressing her foot into its face and launched the last pieces of metal around her. While the metal daggers flew, she lashed out her hands, stretching the limbs as she spun around, striking every single enemy alien that came close to her.
The ones that didn't attack the younger symbiote-bearers met the blade and fists of the Lethal Protector. Seth mowed down several Dominators with his crystal blade, engulfing the blade in abyssal flames before cutting them down.
Several of them grabbed onto his arms and legs, trying to restrain the elemental's movements. Venom bellowed. "Get away!" In a flash, his entire body became engulfed in dazzling, blazing flames. The Dominators were forced to release their hold on him, giving him an opening to spin around and cut them with his flame-enveloped sword.
Curling his clawed fingers into a fist he turned it into adamantium before slamming it into a nearby Dominator, which was hurled into a wall. Lightning sparked off his metallic fist before the elemental wrapped his hand around a Dominator's head.
While the enemy alien screamed in pain, the mutant intensified the lightning released from his hand and had it envelop his entire arm. With a roar emitting from Venom, he thrust the Dominator into the ground with enough force to not only crack the ground but actually shake the foundation with the earth element strengthening his action.
Getting back to his full height, he roared as more Dominators charged for him from every angle. Leaping into the air, the mutant cloaked his free arm in bright flames before thrusting it downwards, splitting it into a series of flaming tendrils. Some of the enemy aliens blocked the attacks with their wrist-mounted blades but to little success. Others dodged the tendrils, shooting the mutant with their wrist-mounted firearms.
Using his tendrils to get out of the way, he avoided the energy bullets coming his way. He pulled him to one of the nearby walls, placing himself on it. Seth growled in rage as the Dominators rushed to the wall. But they were shot down by arrows that came flying with blinding light and onyx darkness.
Showing a smile, Venom looked up and saw that Eclipse was busy herself with the Dominators from her spot on top of the building.
Looking left and right to cover her blind spots, as well as keeping Dusk's senses expanded to the limit, Eclipse fired off arrows imbued with her two elements. From the corner of her eye, she saw two Dominators use hovercrafts to fly towards her.
Backflipping away from the edge, she landed on all four. Raising her four serpentine wings, she formed and opened mouths at the end of each one. The insides of the mouths shine with a mix of both light and darkness before releasing spiraling beams of two elements.
One of the hovercrafts managed to dodge the attack, but the second one was not so lucky and was hit by the spiraling beam. The other Dominator hovercraft, occupied by two aliens, got closer to the metahuman.
Eclipse narrowed her eyes, her eyes responding in kind and narrowing as well before she shadowported out of the way. The Dominators looked for her, their expressions missed with surprise and fear as to what the younger metahuman will do next.
Evelyn appeared over the hovercraft. With a thrust of her arms, she lashed out the serpentine wings from her shoulders and wrapped them around one of the Dominators. She pulled the alien off the hovercraft and slammed him down on the ground. The one remaining on the craft turned it around and flew towards her.
Once again, she used shadowporting to dodge the Dominator's energy beams. Reappearing again she fired off three arrows at the hovercraft. With ease, every single one embedded into the hovercraft's engine and it exploded in response.
Landing on the ground, Evelyn looked over her shoulder. The Dominator she threw earlier returned to its feet, snarling at her with two wrist-mounted blades. It charged her. Unflinchingly she faced the enemy alien, a handle forming in her left hand before light and darkness emitted from it. In an instant, Eclipse held a broadsword in her hand.
The Dominator swung its blade for her, but the metahuman of light and darkness cut it in half before repeating it with the other blade. Eclipse then cut the Dominator's torso. The cut broke the skin and made the alien hold his stomach with both hands. Using that chance to strike, Evelyn wrapped her wings around its form before throwing it off the rooftop.
The young metahuman flinched when she heard a strange metallic clatter from the direction of where she threw the alien. She realized what that metallic clatter meant when she saw Iron Knight fly into her field of vision, dropping off the Dominator she threw.
"Evie?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, Uncle Matt?" She chuckled sheepishly.
"Did you drop an alien on top of me?" He asked sternly. All the while he spoke with his niece, he made sure to form a pair of dual-barreled cannons on his back that kept firing and shooting down aliens from both the sky and the ground.
"Not intentionally." Evelyn shook her head, assuring her uncle.
Before the nanite mutant could respond, he was suddenly hit by a piece of metal flying into the side of his helmet. Having a feeling of where and who it came from, Iron Knight looked down just as he heard. "Hey Scrap for Brains, quit yammering and get to work!" He shouted, tendrils wrapping around the heads of nearby Dominators and threw them away.
"What was that?!" Matt shouted, flying down to the elemental's side. "The hell's wrong with you, you damn hazardous pest?! You can't just go and throw things like that after your own allies?"
"Forgot you were even here. Things were too slow." Venom countered.
"What was that?!" Matt shouted behind his mask.
Ruby and Frankie stuck to the side of a building. "They're really fighting now?" Magenta asked.
"Sometimes I forget who the kids are, us or they." Genysis scratched the side of her head while watching her father bicker with her uncle. "Gotta admit, it's pretty cool they're still taking care of the enemy around them like pros."
"Can't call them pros right now." Magenta chuckled as her Aunt Olivia lowered herself to the ground, standing between the two male heroes. She punched her family members without a care in the world and without hesitation.
Matt and Seth held their heads in pain from the blow that Olivia dealt them both. "Can you two pull your heads out of your asses and actually attack the bastards around us instead of each other?" A Dominator raised its weapon at the psychic, but she countered with a powerful psychic blast that hurled the alien into the sky.
She turned around, facing the army of Dominators that stormed towards them. "We got a lot more incoming."
Matt chuckled hollowly, holes forming along the side of his right thigh and micro-bombs dropped out of the holes. He grabbed them before they collided with the ground. He threw the bombs towards the group, watching as they connected with the enemy and exploded. "Nothing we haven't tried before. But these guys really hate Seth and Venom."
"No shock there." Olivia quipped, but she took out her razor-whip when the Dominators returned to their feet. "But they're stubborn."
"Until Flash and Supergirl has placed the devices on the Dominators and the others have taken care of the meta-bomb, we're gonna keep fighting!" Seth snarled with a growl.
Three Dominators rushed towards the three mutants, running towards them with blades mounted to their wrists. But something flew past the three mutants, slamming into one of the aliens before bouncing off it and into another one. After hitting the second one, the object bounced off it and hit the third Dominator.
Then it flew back past the mutants, giving them a glimpse of its circular form with the colors of a certain flag. The three heroes turned to the direction of the shield and saw who threw it… And couldn't believe their eyes.
The man grabbed his shield again, a Vibranium shield that features three stripes of red, white and red surrounding a blue circle with a white star at its center. He put it on his left arm, attaching the shield to his forearm. Much like his shield, his suit is red, white and blue with a white star on his chest plate. The upper part of his torso is dark-blue with a white start. The lower half of it is with white stripes. His helmet that exposes his mouth and his eyes has a white "A" letter embroidered on the forehead.
The superpowered soldier smirked at the sight of the elemental he's fought alongside on their origin Earth. "Been a long time, Venom. I admit the new look is… Shocking."
"Nice to see you again, Captain America." Seth greeted the original super soldier from Earth-616, the first Avenger himself.
Steve Rogers walked up to their side. "Matt told us you needed backup." The super soldier chuckled at the sight of the green aliens. "Didn't expect another alien invasion, though."
""Us"?"
"He's talking about us, old biggie!" Said a familiar spider hero in a red and blue suit with a bright white spider on his chest as he swung over the heads of the three mutants. The man spiraled in the air, lashing out his hands and shooting web shots at the Dominators' feet, stopping them in their tracks or causing them to fall.
Spider-Man shot more web shots at the Dominator's faces, closing their open maws when they tried to snarl. He landed on the elemental's shoulder. "What's up?"
"You're here, too?" Seth asked.
"Not just me, Sethy." Peter Parker jokes.
Two Dominators tried to attack both Ruby and Frankie, but were assaulted by web shots coming from another direction. The two symbiote-bearers saw who shot the dominators, the spider-hero landing on the same building wall.
Ruby smiled behind her mask as she saw the familiar black spider-hero with a red spider symbol on his chest. He turned around, the white eyes on his mask widened in surprise as he faced Ruby. "Ruby?"
"Miles." She recognized the spider-hero immediately.
"Yeah." He walked up to her. "Wow, your suit is really cool." Miles Morales admitted, looking up and down her form.
"Thanks." Ruby's smile somehow got bigger.
Magenta rolled her eyes. "Sis, you can talk to your boyfriend later. We sorta have an invasion going on."
A strange electric spark erupted from their heads, sending three Dominators flying over the edge of the rooftop and down to the ground. A familiar hero in a black suit stepped onto the ledge, her long brown hair flowing in the air as wind blew over her. Unlike the other spider heroes, the female spider-hero has an upside-down yellow triangle in the middle of her chest. Spider-Woman smirked at the elemental.
"You better not be complaining about the backup, Venom! I'll shock your ass." Jessica Drew empathized her point with bio-electricity sparking around her fingers. Eclipse shadowported to her side, standing on the side of the building. "Nice suits you and your sister got, Evie."
"Thanks, Ms. Drew." Evelyn told the spider-hero.
"Think this will make for good backup, huh?" Matt directed to the elemental.
"The best." Seth admitted with a snarl directed at the Dominators, getting their attention.
"In that case…" Captain America stepped forward to the mutant's side. "How about we deal with the clean up here while your friends up there take care of this meta-bomb?"
"You know the situation?" Seth asked.
"First thing I asked for." Steve said, holding out his shield. He smirked, calling out to the heroes beside him.
"Let's go!" Seth shouted, running towards the aliens. Peter jumped off his back and landed on the ground. Flexing his entire body, he turned into adamantium and punched the aliens.
Peter hummed, stroking his chin while examining the mutant's work. "For a doctor, he sure is flexible when it comes to "Do no harm"." He quipped.
"Caitlin's better at upholding that part, actually." Matt noted. He and his wife flew back up to the sky, taking down the ground forces from the sky.
(FLIGHT FIGHT)
"Well…" Spider-Man performed a series of stretches, stretching out his limbs. "Time to dance. Or weave, I guess." He quipped and dodged the incoming slashes from a nearby Dominator. "Could you not interrupt a guy like that? I haven't done my morning stretches yet."
The Dominator continued to try and slash the spider-hero, snarling in rage as each of its attempts failed. Peter stopped the two blades by grabbing the Dominator's wrists. Using its torso, he walked up the alien's front before delivering a kick to its underjaw as he released it from his hold.
Spider-Man landed on all four just as the Dominator fell to the ground. "And that's one down Central City!" He looked around, seeing Dominators around him. "Oh, come on, you guys know you have to stay in line if you want an autograph."
Once again, the enemy aliens snarled in rage, rushing to the spider-hero. But they got to him when suddenly a Vibranium shield hit their heads, bouncing off their bodies and hitting each other. It returned to Captain America who jumped up and slammed the shield into another Dominator. "Thought you said you'd stop talking." He reminded Peter while dodging the attacks of other Dominators.
"We both know I'd never agree to something like that." Spider-Man used the super soldier's shield as a springboard, jumping into the air and spun around, shooting web shots at the Dominators around them. Each shot blinded the aliens.
Peter crossed his arms over one another, shooting out weblines from each shooter. They connected with car doors and then tore them off the vehicles. With the Dominators between them, they were slammed into each other by the doors.
Steve slammed his shield into another Dominator, causing it to hold its stomach. The war hero delivered a powerful uppercut with his shielded arm, the immense and powerful blow to the alien's underjaw sent him flying and on top of a car.
Captain America noticed that more Dominators swarmed around him and Peter. "Note to self: Never accept another invite from the Furys." He really wished he could write this down in his notes.
Venom, hearing the war hero's words, faced him as he knocked three Dominators away. "Like you haven't missed us, Captain." The elemental stated.
"It's not that I haven't missed you, Venom." The star-spangled hero assured him, jumping up and slamming both of his feet into an alien's torso, sending him to the ground. He got back to his feet. "But I was hoping you'd invite me and the others for something other than an alien invasion."
Spider-Man jumped into the air, swing-kicking down an array of Dominators. "Woohoo!" He exclaimed excitedly, spiraling into the air before letting go of his webline. He flipped in the air and then landed on the elemental's back. "Cap's got a point, buddy. Why not invite us out for a barbeque or something next ti- ARGH!"
Suddenly the spider-hero found himself in the elemental's hand, who showed an angered look. "You talk too much!" He snarled at the hero in his hand. But he stopped speaking when seeing the Dominators again. Smiling like a hyena, he stated. "Fastball."
Paling in fear, Peter rapidly shook his head. "No, no, no! Please anything but THAT!"
His words didn't reach the elemental's ears, who threw the spider-hero like a soft ball for the second time on this Earth.
"AAAARRRRGGGHH!" Spider-Man screamed as he was hurled through the air and smashing into a bunch of Dominators, a bunch of them falling when his body hit theirs. Shaking himself out of shock, he shot webshots out of his shooters, pinning down the downed aliens. Leaping off one of the Dominators, he punched another one he rocketed towards.
"Damn, they're good." Ruby was in awe of seeing the veteran heroes at work. "Really, really good." She said as the three heroes worked in tandem, taking down a group of enemy aliens with skills.
A finger tapped on her shoulder, and she looked over her shoulder. Miles nodded to the other side where Dominators were swarming. "Think those guys need a better welcome party?"
"We'd be awful hosts if we didn't." Ruby admitted with a wide smirk, holding out her Chakram blade. "Wanna join me?"
"Nowhere I'd rather be." Miles quipped, leaping off the wall and clenched his fist, sparking with bio-electricity. Ruby jumped after him, clenching her own fist with gravitational force.
The two of them drove down with their fists, sending the Dominators away. Genysis jumped into the air, lashing out her tongue and grabbed an alien. When landing on the ground again, she hurled him up and into the air.
Seeing a shadow come over him, Miles jumped into the air. He clenched his fist, generating massive bio-electricity in his hand before thrusting it into the alien's head. The Dominator snarled and screamed in immense pain as the electric-cloaked hand thrust into it.
He landed on the ground, reeling back another fist with bio-electricity. Miles grunted, smashing the fist into another Dominator and sent it flying into a wall. Two shadows appeared over him, each one raising their blade-armed arms and he avoided their blades when they swung for his head.
Rolling on the ground, he looked up and saw the two Dominators that tried to skewer him. "You guys got seriously bad manners. Can't you say "please"?" They snarled at him. "Guess you don't have manners on planet Dominator." Miles gagged and covered his mask-covered nose. "Or breath mints."
Before the Dominators could charge the young spider-hero, Genysis slammed both of her feet into one of them, sending him flying into the other. She backflipped and landed on her feet again. "You really gotta stop talking at some point, Spider-Man."
"And not get to talk to you? No way in hell." Miles adamantly said, crossing his arms over his chest and shook his head rapidly.
"You're unbelievable." Genysis stated with a chuckle as tendrils sprouted from her back, forming blades at the tips of them before striking the Dominators that try and attack her from behind. The blades met the opposing ones, clashing against one another.
Genysis tightened her hold on her blade before spiraling around, swinging her Chakram blade around, cutting their blades in half. While the Dominators were shocked, Ruby pulled them to her with gravitational force.
When seeing them be yanked to her, Miles jumped into action. He leaped over the gravity manipulator, bio-electricity coursing through his entire body. The spider-hero landed between the two Dominators, and released a war cry.
Ruby saw Miles release an immensely powerful burst of bio-electricity, the electricity exploding outwards in a blinding burst. The lightning-like energy didn't just hit the two Dominators, but also the others around him. The energy he released was akin to a dome of lightning, ensnaring several Dominators in it and they were shocked and fell to the ground.
"Spidey!" Ruby shouted as she saw him fall to the ground, panting through his mask. "You okay?" She asked, crouching by his side.
"Not doing too hot, actually." Miles admitted with a grunt.
Dominators circled around them, snarling at the heroes. But their snarls came to an end, replaced by screams of pain when arrows of hardened symbiote mass came flying and pierced their shoulders and their torsos.
A smokescreen of shadows erupted behind them and Eclipse rushed to the two. She placed a hand on both her sister and Miles's back. "Hang on!" She quickly shouted, using her shadows to transport them away.
The shadows erupted again, on top of a building and the metahuman let go of her sister and the spider-hero. "Cool trick, Miles, but…" Evelyn saw him hold his stomach. "Are you okay? You don't look so good now."
Miles chuckled. "What can I say? That move sorta knocks the wind out of me."
Another Dominator hovercraft came flying towards them, armed with three enemy aliens. All three of them lashed out their blades. But the metallic crafts came to a halt when Magenta appeared and clenched her hand. With her right hand stopping the hovercraft with ferrokinetic powers, she thrust out her left arm and split it into dozens of tendrils. The tendrils ensnared one of them, pulling him off of the hovercraft before slamming him into the ground of the rooftop.
"Spidey!" Spider-Woman shouted, jumping off the adjacent rooftop, spiraling into the air. When coming over the two Dominators on the hovercraft, she quickly converged her bio-electricity to her hands before releasing them in a powerful discharge.
The immense lightning hit them, shocking the Dominators and the engine of their craft, causing it to instantly explode. The explosion released a powerful gust of wind which Spider-Woman used to her advantage, allowing herself to be propelled onto the other rooftop.
Jessica looked up, meeting the eyes of the younger heroes, specifically the spider-hero's. "Miles, we've been over this, Mega Venom isn't suited for a team-up fight. One wrong move and you could have cinched your girlfriend here." She pointed a finger at Ruby.
"Mega Venom?" Evelyn asked, inwardly liking the name.
"It's the name of what I did back there." Miles nodded to the ground, of where he discharged his electricity in a burst. "But Jess isn't too hot on me using it in the field."
"I am." Jessica corrected the young spider-hero. "But it's not a move that's good in a fight with allies, especially in close-range. Alone against a large group of enemies, it's the ideal weapon to stop them all in one fell swoop."
Ruby looked to Miles. "Drawback being Miles gets exhausted."
"He won't be able to move for a while, right?" Evelyn deduced, shooting off four arrows that pierced the shoulders of two Dominators that tried to attack her father from behind. After giving his daughter a grateful look, Venom grabbed both of their heads and thrust them into the ground. "Rubs, you gotta play babysitter for your boyfriend now."
"I will tear you apart." Ruby threatened her sister.
Magenta faced her sister and the spider-hero. "Doesn't seem like Miles is against the idea, sis." Miles was sure he was blushing underneath his mask, as is Ruby. "Keep an eye on him till he stands on his feet again." Ruby nodded. "Eclipse, keep an eye on them both."
Evelyn nodded, continuing to fire arrows at the Dominators that either came from the sky or the ground. "Not that I wanna complain, but what the hell are the others doing about the meta-bomb? And the weapons to take care of these bastards?"
Jessica chuckled sheepishly. "Evie, you really got your father's mouth." She noted her foul-mouthed words. Two Dominators dropped down from the sky, both armed with firearms.
Spider-Woman faced the two aliens, shooting webshots at the nozzles of their wrist-mounted firearms. The Dominators noticed the web covering their weapons and each one released an angry snarl. "We're talking!" Jessica said, channeling her electricity to her hands as she rushed to them.
The spider-hero delivered a swift electric uppercut to the closest one. Like a pile bunker, the energy she concentrated in her fist discharged from it and released it directly at the alien's face. With small residual sparks around its face, the Dominator fell to the ground.
The other one swung its webbed gun for Spider-Woman who met a purple symbiotic axe. "Leave her alone!" Magenta snarled, lashing out her foot and kicked the Dominator. With a swing of her arms, she threw an air conditioner unit after it and sent him over the edge. "There's no end to these guys." She said as more and more Dominators arrived from their mothership.
"Wouldn't be so sure about that, actually." Evelyn looked down at the streets, seeing a familiar blur of yellow lightning speed past the Dominators. "They're attaching the devices on them now."
Ruby nodded. She pressed on her earpiece. "Smoak, what's the status?"
"Who's this?" Felicity questioned.
"It's me, Ruby. Genysis." Ruby rolled her eyes.
"Oh sorry, sorry… You and your sister sound alike because of the whole Venom child bearing stuff." Felicity said giddily.
"That was not creepy at all." Evelyn said with a shiver at that last sentence.
"You're really weird." Ruby countered. "What's the situation then?"
"Flash is already planting Professor Stein's nano-weapons, but we've still got Dominators all over the country." Felicity declared.
Turning to her sister, Ruby asked. "Evie, can't you teleport over the entire country and help with the nano-weapons?"
"No way. I can only shadowport to places I've been to. And I haven't been anywhere other than Central City and Star City, but there are only a few locations I can remember back there." Evelyn countered.
"Damn it." Ruby said. "You're on your own, Smoak."
"Don't worry about that, kiddo. We've got Supergirl." Felicity said proudly.
Jessica looked at them. "Who's Supergirl?"
The three sisters pointed their fingers at the sky, the two spider-heroes facing the direction of their fingers and saw a blur and red blur fly over their heads. "Was that a bird?" Miles asked.
"A plane?" Jessica followed up.
"That was Supergirl." Evelyn answered their question. She pressed her own earpiece. "Felicity, what about the meta-bomb? Are they taking care of it?"
"Cisco and Sara are holding it, but barely. Firestorm's on their way to them." Felicity informed.
"What? Why?" Evelyn asked.
X
Up in the sky, Firestorm came closer to the large spherical meta-bomb that's being held up by the Waverider's tractor beam. The conjoined metahuman propelled himself close to the large bomb.
"Sara, we're here!" Firestorm called out to the captain of the Waverider.
"Firestorm, do it now." Sara shouted.
"Do what?" Jefferson questioned as he flew over the meta-bomb.
Within their shared mind, Martin stated. "I believe Ms. Lance intends for us to transmute the meta-bomb into something harmless."
Landing on top of the meta-bomb, Jefferson let out a groan. "I was afraid you were gonna say that."
Inhaling deeply, he slammed both of his hands down on the spherical bomb. From their hands, Firestorm's nuclear energy shined and came over the large explosive device. Jefferson and Martin put all of their might, all of their strength into nuclear power and tried to convert the massive explosive into something harmless…
But it didn't go well for them, and they were racing against time itself now.
"All right, devices are being planted." Felicity started from the hangar, speaking to the Legends and Cisco. "Let me know when I can bring the pain."
"Come on, Firestorm!" Sara impatiently called out to her metahuman crewmate, the entire time ship struggling to hold up the immense explosive device from outer space. It wouldn't hold for long.
It was a miracle it was even able to remain airborne.
"Grey, I can't do it, man. It's too big." Jefferson said, his nuclear powers unable to convert the immense bomb. With another push, he released more of his nuclear powers in a wave, trying to convert the bomb again. But to no success.
"I can't. I can't do it." Jefferson said hopelessly, but still trying to convert the alien superweapon.
"You must, Jefferson." Martin encouraged his other half. He confessed, hoping that his next words would fuel Jefferson and enable to fully unleash one of their most powerful abilities that comes with their fusion. "I have a daughter. Her name is Lily and she's counting on you. She's counting on both of us."
Those words echoed in his mind, temporarily confusing the other half of Firestorm, but it also fueled him as Martin hoped. Jefferson knew what this meant if he couldn't convert this weapon into something of its opposite nature, something harmless.
The other half of Firestorm… Martin Stein… He'd lose his child…
And Jefferson wasn't gonna let that happen, not while he's still breathing.
He shouted a war cry, releasing all the nuclear energy he could muster and just as the bomb was about to close in on the skyscrapers… Their technique bore fruit, the entire bomb immediately turned into water. instead of a bomb falling down on the city, it was now a flood from above.
"Woohoo!" Firestorm shouted and panted in exhaustion. "We did it! We really did it, Grey." Jefferson said, completely in awe of his own ability and what he did with it.
"Nice job, Firestorm. Ground, what's the status?" Sara asked the ground forces.

"Guess this means we win." Steve Rogers said as he holstered his shield on his back, his eyes taking in the sight of numerous Dominators running the other way. When coming to stand under the ship, they were beamed up. "They're retreating."
"Take care!" Spider-Man said, jumping up and coming to stand on the side of a nearby wall. He waved his goodbye to the green aliens. "Stay healthy! Please remember any and all luggage you've brought with you! We hope you've enjoyed your stay at Hotel Planet Earth and will leave more than just a five-star review!"
Venom sneered at the spider-hero. "They better not leave anything! Otherwise, we'll tear the rest of them into pieces."
Jessica Drew landed beside the elemental. "You mean more than you've already done?" She elbowed the mutant's symbiotic skin.
"And it's not just the ones in Central City." Evelyn exclaimed, dropping out of her shadows with Miles and her sisters. "It's all around the world. The Dominators are leaving for good."
Frankie and Ruby fist bumped. "We did it." Magenta said with a smile.
"Yeah, we did." Genysis agreed with a smile.
"This was awesome." Miles admitted with a wide smile behind his mask. "What now?"
Seth faced the young hero with a raised eye. "You want more, kid?" Miles turned shocked at the question. He looked at his mentors. "He's a lot like you two." The way he said that didn't give any indication of that being a good thing.

After everything that took place with the Dominators, the heroes had met up in the hangar on the wishes of the new President. The heroes were placed on top of a stage, facing the direction of the audience that's filled with seats of military officers and others.
Though it perplexed most, if not all there, the President had asked for every single one of the heroes to stand on stage. She insisted that they halted their plans of departure until the end, hoping they'd all join the event so she could express her gratitude. That included the heroes from Earth-616 and Venom, despite the bounty that the Central City Police Department has placed on his head.
The new President started her speech, unflinching as numerous pairs of eyes were placed on her. "Many responsibilities have fallen to me since the President's passing at the beginning of this crisis." Some of the heroes looked uncomfortable on stage, but continued to listen to the new leader of the free world. "Sobering, sad responsibilities. This is not one of them."
She looked at the eyes of everyone looking at her. "Today, it is my distinct honor to bestow upon you a small acknowledgement of the great debt that the world owes to you all."
Mick took in the President's physique. "Is it just me or is she really hot?" He whispered to his Captain.
"Although your brave efforts must remain a secret…" The President continued.
Much like he did, Sara admired her. "She's hot." She agreed.
"Know that metahuman or not, masked or not…" The President glanced at Venom and his daughters. "Wanted or not…" The elemental gave a nod of appreciation. "Child or not…" The girls with symbiotes and Miles nodded their appreciation. "Each and every one of you is a hero."
The officers in their seats got up, clapping and giving the numerous heroes a much awaited applause.
Then….
….
….
POP
The cork from the champagne bottle when flying sky-high as Felicity popped the cork on the bottle. It was a private party event that the heroes and their teams arranged after the President and the others left. Allowing the heroes to take off their suits and enjoy their victory. But it was mostly the native heroes and Kara that took part, accepting a glass of sparkling champagne.
Seth, from the wall he's leaning on, watched as his daughters and Miles talked. Jessica laughed as she was telling the four young heroes of her adventures. He smiled softly when seeing Ruby and Miles hold hands, happy that these two are getting closer together.
"You're not gonna have a drink?" Seth looked to the side and saw Steve walking over to him.
"Not now, should let the young ones have their fun for now. What about you, old man? You're not gonna join the fun or what?" The mutant quipped.
Leaning against the wall beside the elemental, the super soldier stated. "Figured I'd just let the youngsters enjoy this one. Not the time to upstage them after all." He sighed. "Heard from Matt, things have become tough around here."
"Oh yeah, the Sinister Six is here and everything." The two heard Peter say as he came closer. "Really can't believe our world's problems are becoming this world's problems. Feels kinda responsible."
"Pretty sure I'm the one who should be feeling responsible for this mess." Seth said. "I was the one who didn't finish off Carnage back on 616 quicker and let him open a portal to this one."
"You regret it?" Steve asked.
Seth chuckled at the question; it was the same kind of question he has asked himself repeatedly in the past. "I don't." He said immediately. Gesturing to his three children conversing with Miles and Jessica, he stated. "I wouldn't have those three then." As though the girls knew their father's talking about them, they looked back and waved their hands.
"Yeah, they're very much like their father." Steve chuckled.
"That's one of the many things I love about them." Seth spoke like a proud father.
"Unfortunately…" Caitlin announced her presence, walking towards the heroes. "That's always what scares everyone else about our daughters."
"That is true, but I am happy with that." Seth stated with a wide smile. He shared a hug and a kiss with his mate.
Peter looked around. "Where's Matt and Liv? They leave or something?"
"They said they had to fetch something." Steve answered.
As if on cue, a portal opened up near their spot. The four of them looked at it and watched as Matt and Olivia exited the dimensional gateway. They weren't alone, each of them holding…
Cradling a baby… as they walked towards them.
The portal closed, Seth formed a smile at the sight of his baby sister and the baby in her arms.
Olivia looked up, continuing to sway her giggling child as she made eye contact with her brother. "Thought you and Caity would love to meet your niece and nephew."
"Oh my God. Of course, we'd love to!" Caitlin admitted, rushing to the psychic and the nanite mutant. She smiled at the babies in their arms. Matt was holding a giggling boy and Olivia was cradling a baby girl.
"The girl's Nicole and the boy here is Anthony." Matt said.
Caitlin looked at the baby boy in Matt's arms. "He's handsome. Hey there." She said softly, one of her fingers stretching out to the baby's forehead. After lightly tapping his forehead, the finger was immediately grabbed by the smallest hands that Caitlin's ever felt in her life. She awed at the feeling of the small digits pulling her fingertip to its mouth, trying to chew on it like it's a pacifier. "Oh."
"She's pretty this little one." Seth admitted as his sister handed him her daughter. "Hey Nikki."
"It's your Uncle Seth, baby girl." Olivia told her child, patting the head of her big brother. "Can you say "hi" to Uncle Seth?"
The baby girl cooed in his arms… But then it suddenly cried, its small eyes shut and bursting with tears.
"Oh yeah, I remember that from Bucks. Yikes." Peter said with a slight shiver, recalling the times the mutant's first child cried uncontrollably.
In an instant, Matt snatched the elemental's collar and pulled him closer. "Don't make my daughter cry, you oaf!"
Seth gritted his teeth with wide eyes brimming with rage. "Not my fault, Nikki's got her dad's weak genes!" He shouted into his face.
Olivia slapped herself at the sight of her husband and her brother staring daggers at each other, about to initiate another one of their fights. "Okay, you two are not fighting with my children in your arms!"
"And why is your daughter laughing?" Steve asked. Everyone there saw Nicole Fury-Stark giggling out of her mind at the sight of her father and uncle arguing.
"She's definitely a Fury." Caitlin admitted with a chortle.
The two male mutants glared at each other; Olivia stated in rage. "You two are not fighting with my children in your arms. So, either you morons hand them back to me and Caity and beat each other, or you can…" She stopped talking when her husband handed her Nicole and her brother handed Anthony to Caitlin. "Or you can still be morons and fight."
"Thank y-" Seth was cut off when Matt thrust an armored fist into his face and sent him flying.
Matt laughed as the elemental got back on his feet. "Pathetic basta-AARRGG" The nanite mutant was interrupted as tendrils wrapped around him and swung him around in the air before slamming him into the ground.
"You're dead!" Seth bellowed, his entire form enveloped by symbiote mass, his sword sprouting from his sword.
"Bring it on!" Matt shouted, his armor forming around his body. Seth charged him, punching the nanite mutant with an adamantium fist that sent him flying. Using that momentum, Iron Knight flew out of the night and Venom followed him.
"Those two will never change." Olivia groaned.
"You know this was the reason why we didn't give you three a spot on the Avengers." Steve reminded the psychic.
Peter chuckled. "Good point, those two would fight each other at every whim. Forget the bad guys, those two would need all your attention."
"You're not wrong, Pete." Olivia agreed. "Right, Caity?" She said, waiting for an answer. "Caity?" The psychic turned around, seeing that Caitlin was busy staring deeply into Anthony's eyes. "You okay, Caity?"
None of the psychic's words made their way to Caitlin's ears, barely audible to her. She busied herself with the bundle of joy in her arms, looking up at her with intrigue and awe of the woman holding her. The baby boy cooed and giggled, trying to reach for the brown locks of hair hanging over his cradled body.
Caitlin softly laughed as one of her locks was caught in his fingers. The baby boy immediately pulled the locks to his mouth, sucking and nursing on the silky brown hair strands. "You like my hair, huh?" Caitlin asked, stroking the baby's head. Her touch made the baby move around in her arms, smiling widely with the hair stuck in her mouth.
"Guess someone likes her Aunt Caity." Olivia joked.
"Guess so, yeah." Caitlin admitted with a chuckle. Her eyes turned up, pointing at her three daughters. "Girls." She got her children's attention. "Come meet your cousins."
"Wait, they're here?!" Evelyn exclaimed, rushing to her mother's side, seeing her hold a baby. Frankie and Ruby followed her in an instant. "Hi." She fawned over the baby boy in her mother's arms.
"Hi." Ruby greeted the baby girl in her aunt's arms. "Oh my God." She smiled as the baby laughed and smiled at the sight of her face. "She's cute."
"Hi there, little cuzzy." Frankie waved at her little cousin. "Oh, they're so cute."
"Yeah." Caitlin agreed with her daughter, holding the little baby boy.
She swayed her arms gently and carefully, almost as though she's afraid of breaking the small bundle of joy laughing in her arms. For some reason, she couldn't peel her eyes away from the young child. The way his dark-blue eyes would open and close at the sight of her face, then open again with awe. Baby Anthony opened his mouth again, trying to snatch the tips of her hair strands with his mouth.
Even though the young baby finally managed to catch and grab her hair, pulling on them all at once Caitlin couldn't stop smiling. She widened her eyes as she felt something else inside of her… Creeping and growing inside of her….
A void… Something empty…

Both Barry and Oliver looked up in disbelief at the sight. They saw Iron Knight fly straight up towards the sky, but before reaching the clouds that covered it, tendrils wrapped around his legs and pulled him back down. Venom grabbed his leg and then hurled the other mutant back into the ground.
The two Earth-1 heroes flinched and grimaced as the knight received a beating that was so demonic it suited the elemental. But Matt retaliated, shooting, blasting, and hurling either repulsor beams or explosives at Venom. Despite the onslaught of attacks he received, Seth continued to attack Iron Knight without hesitation.
"Those two never run out of energy, do they?" Oliver noted, thinking that the two mutants have been at it for hours.
"Never, I'm scared of what they might do when the holidays swing by." Barry admitted, sipping on the celebratory beverage that will never be able to get him drunk or even buzzed.
"Hey, hey, guys." Kara rushed to the two. Barry greeted her with a nod, as did Oliver. "Either of you ever saved the world before?" She asked.
"Mm-hmm. Last year." Oliver nodded.
"Oh, it doesn't get old, does it?" Kara asked, she blinked when seeing the two mutants continuing to go at it.
"No." Barry looked down in sorrow. "It sure beats screwing up the world."
Kara shook her head, looking at the speedster. "Hey, you are too hard on yourself."
Oliver chuckled. "That's what people usually tell me."
"And for good reason I'm sure, but…" Kara started. "Back on my Earth, it's just me and my cousin. Between the two of us, we're more powerful than…"
"Yeah, everybody in this room combined." Barry joked with a serious look. "Though, I'm sure our alien hosts could give you a proper challenge."
"No, no. I mean, yes, they probably could." Kara clarified. "That's the point. That's what you've all proven here. Metahuman or not, superpowers or not, mutants or not, alien hosts or not… You are Earth's mightiest heroes."
"This Earth's, anyway." Ruby countered, walking past the three heroes.
"Um…" Oliver confessed. "After I had a… talk with Seth, I realized I have… I owe you an apology." Kara listened. "Keeping you at arm's length was the wrong move and, uh… Well, the truth is that this Earth could probably use a Supergirl."
"Well, that's funny." Kara quipped. "Because I was just thinking my Earth could use an Oliver Queen." The three of them shared a laugh. "I know you said you don't get unnerved." Oliver sighed with a twist of his head. "But if you did, I think hardship is what makes us stronger. That's probably why these people look to you as their rock."
Barry smirked mischievously. "You guys feeling the group hug?"
Though Oliver was initially against it, he reluctantly let himself be pulled into a group hug with the two other heroes. Cisco walked up to the three heroes, holding a box in his hand. "Hey, Kara, I made you something."
"What?" Kara exclaimed and Cisco nodded. "Cisco." She accepted the box, opened it and saw that it's a strange spherical device the size of a disc. The strange device had a blue light source in the middle of it. "What is it?"
"That better not be the device that you gave us, Cisco!" Frankie shouted, walking past them.
"It's not, kinda! It's not like that…." Cisco turned to face the Kryptonian. "It's, uh… It's the same thing, or principle actually. It's an inter-dimensional extrapolator." That did nothing to ease Kara's confusion. "It creates small breaches, so you can use it to cross over to our universe anytime you need to."
Kara laughed in shock. "Oh, my God. That's amazing."
"I also included communication functionality, so if you ever need any help, you can always contact the team." Cisco added and Kara's smile widened.
"Hey, skirt." Mick got Kara's attention, walking between the viber and her. "Call me." He told the Kryptonian, walking away. Kara was more than just bewildered at the Legend's words.
Suddenly a loud boom came from the entrance of the hangar, echoing throughout the entire building. They all turned and saw Seth and Matt try to tear into each other again. Iron Knight trying to wrestle his repulsor blade out of Venom's maw.
"Go Dad!" Ruby cheered, his father slamming his feet down on the nanite mutant's chest. "My money's on Dad winning this one." She looked to her sisters and Miles.
"Make that two of us on Venom winning." Miles pitched in giddily.
It looked as though Matt was about to lose his arm.
At the sight of that, Olivia rolled her eyes and formed psychic earplugs, plugging her children's ears. She whistled, getting the male mutants' attention. "Hey dumbasses, could you two maybe not fight for like five seconds, or do I seriously have to introduce my infants to a massacre when I have to tear their father and their uncle to shreds?"
Seth and Matt shared a look, both shrugging their shoulders before letting go and returning to their feet. They got out of their suits and gave a chuckle to their respective beloved ones. "Sorry, babe."
"Sorry, Bubble." The male mutants apologized.
Caitlin chuckled. "You guys will never change." She looked at the giggling baby in her arms and then to Evelyn. "Evie, wanna hold him?"
"Sure." Evelyn accepted, holding out her arms. Her mother gently placed Anthony in her arms while also giving instructions on how to hold the child, making sure to inform of the importance of supporting the baby's neck. "Hi, Cuz." The metahuman spoke to her young cousin.
"They're really cute, aunt." Frankie admitted as she now holds Nicole in her arms.
"Remember you guys are cousins now." Olivia laughed and chuckled. "Take care of each other now…" She trailed off as the girls seemed busy fawning over their baby cousins.

A little while had passed and everyone was getting ready to leave. The Earth-616ers decided to stay a little while longer, spending time with the Snow-Fury family back at their loft. Steve and Seth would join them, but after bidding farewell to the others.
Barry looked at Kara. "You ready to see if Cisco's gadget works?"
"Ready. Though, I'm hopeful this one doesn't make a breach that stays open. Otherwise, Seth's gonna need his crystal picker again." Kara stated.
"Crystal picker? Seriously?" Seth chuckled in disbelief.
"Reminds me of when you called a certain someone's weapon a "Frisbee"?" Steve sniped, elbowing the elemental who chortled.
"And remember, if you guys ever need me, I'm just a call away." Kara waved the extrapolator around.
Giving a two-fingered salute, Oliver said. "Same."
"Looking forward to another fight, Ms. Danvers." Seth bid his farewells to the Kryptonian.
"Right back at ya, Dr. Fury. Give my regards to your family." Kara said and the mutant nodded. She stepped in front of the others, pressing the button on the device and opened a portal. The breach spiraled into existence.
Kara walked into it, walking into the gateway leading to her Earth. Much to their relief, the breach closed behind her.
Sara glanced at Oliver, starting. "It's weird to think that all of this started with the two of us. Ever think about what it would be like if we never got on that boat?"
"I don't know if I have to think about it." Oliver started. "I mean, maybe the Dominators showed us what our lives would have been like."
"I know it was a prison, but in a way…" Sara started.
Oliver followed up, finishing her sentence. "In a way, it was a gift."
Sara and Oliver shared a hug. When unwrapping her arms, the former assassin tapped his chest. "Stay out of trouble."
"Yeah." Oliver said in a mutter.
John gave her a thumbs up when she passed him. "There she goes. Off to her spaceship, time traveling as if it's totally normal."
"Well…" Oliver laughed. "John, it's like you said. Normal sort of went out the window when this one and Seth arrived." He gave a nod to the speedster and the elemental.
John gave the speedster a long look. "I may never understand you, man, but…" He held out his hand. "You're one of the best men I know."
In shock from his words, Barry shook hands with the former soldier. "Thanks, Digg. So, will you forgive me for what I did?"
John exhales deeply. "Barry. It's like I keep telling this guy, you have to forgive yourself."
Barry nodded. "Yeah."
"Good luck." John patted his shoulder.
"Thanks." Barry nodded his gratitude as the former soldier left. He faced the archer and the others. "Well. We ought to do this more often. Get together, I mean."
"I will decline." Seth joked. "Ow!"
Steve slapped him and he spoke. "We'll see if our schedule fits, but yeah, it wouldn't be the worst thing."
"I meant, without the world being threatened." Barry clarified.
"If the world wasn't being threatened, what would we do?" Oliver asked.
"Drinks?" Barry suggested.
"Thanks… But I promised my family I'd introduce them to a real-life fossil tonight. So, another night, maybe." Seth joked, patting the war hero's back.
The heroes went their own ways… The two natives making their way to a bar. The other two making their way to the Snow-Fury loft. Just to enjoy and relish their victory.
They needed it after this invasion they've thwarted…
To be continued…
And that's a chapter, peeps!
An alien invasion have been thwarted by the heroes across the multiverse and even time itself. Earth-616 heroes have entered the fray to help stop the Dominators that try and destroy the powered species of Earth-1.
But a shocking revelation have reached Seth's ears, he learns that the Dominators have knowledge of the Klyntar species. This shocks him as he also hears the real name of the being that is claimed as the Klyntar Demiurge.
Perhaps the evil god's influence have spread further than anyone could have realized.
Though wanted, Seth… Venom have been hailed as a hero by the president.
Hope you guys liked the cameos by the familiar Earth-616 heroes.
