Gapped Knowledge- A Special Episode

Hey, guys! Welcome to a special episode of the series! I hope that you like these, because I do! Anyways, enjoy!

It took an hour for Splinter to tend to Donatello's arm.
And another two hours to tend to each of the brothers and their wounds.
Raph knew that he only put on an act to show that he had left everything behind him.
An act about how he doesn't care anymore that Spike was mutated, and did those things to them.
Even if he's the one that took the mutagen after an angry outburst at Donnie, he still couldn't help but blame him.
And here he was, lying on his bed after today's events, unable to sleep.
He groaned angrily as he tried changing positions and finally fall asleep, to no success.
He kept thinking.
'If only Donnie would have stopped with those stupid experiments.'
'If only he wouldn't have driven me into taking the mutagen.'
'If only…'
Raph sighed as he shook his head, trying to get rid of those useless thoughts.
He knew that he wouldn't forgive Donnie anytime soon, but he can at least try and hide it. At least until Donnie's arm healed and he wouldn't feel guilty anymore.
Then, suddenly, he heard a knock on the door.
"Raph?" A voice called out quietly.
'Speak of the devil.' He thought to himself.
"Come in." He declared, trying not to let his anger show.
The door slowly opened, revealing a nervous Donatello.
"Hi, Raph." Donnie said with an awkward smile as he entered the room, closing the door behind him.
"Hey." Raph said, trying to remain cold and distant to make Donnie understand that he's not invited to enter his room. That he's not welcomed.
Donnie, as smart as he is, understood Raph's tone, but he decided to ignore it.
"I need to talk to you, Raph." Donnie said nervously, as Raph lifted a brow.
"Oh, really?" He replied cynically, as he sat on his bed.
With a flinch, Donnie continued.
"I simply wanted to apologize. For today's events, that is." He said quietly, looking at the floor in guilt.
Raph immediately got filled with rage, but he held himself from displaying it.
"Let me sleep, Donnie." He said coldly.
"I know that you are mad, Raph." He replied hesitantly.
"Who would have guessed?" Raph growled.
"I'm sorry, Raph. I really didn't mean for any of this to happen." Donnie basically begged, only to receive a glare from Raph.
"That's it, Donnie." He declared with a glare, deciding to let some of his frustrations out.
"W-what?" Donnie flinched with wide eyes.
"Because of you, Spike is gone. Do you really think I'll forgive you? Seriously?" Raph said coldly.
"But-!" "I'm not finished." Donnie quickly closed his mouth.
"Spike mutated and became a violent monster. He even turned on me! His family! Do you know how that must feel for him, Donnie?" Raph tried not to raise his voice and wake everyone up.
Donnie didn't answer, as he stared down at his injured arm.
"You wouldn't know what it feels like, to be mutated into a monster. To become so violent and turn on your family." Raph said in disgust as he stared at Donnie in rage.
"Raph…" Donnie whispered, his voice cracking.
"But one day, you'll get a taste of your own medicine. Karma will get you and you'll experience just that." Raph didn't even notice what he was saying in this angry rant. He only snapped out of it as he noticed tears going down Donnie's cheeks.
His eyes widened as Donnie opened the door swiftly and ran out of his room.
Raph straightened his back for a moment, debating whether or not to go after him, but he decided that it would be best not to. He needed to calm down.
"I… Will apologize in the morning."
And he did, and they managed to patch up their relationship again. But that doesn't mean that Raph didn't feel guilt for whatever he said even after he apologized.

Raph sobbed quietly in his room, shoving his head onto the pillow.
He remembered this conversation vividly, feeling neverending guilt, that only intensified after what happened to Donnie.
Is it because he told him that he will get a taste of his own medicine? That he will experience karma? Is that why such a horrible thing happened and he's here, crying in his room? Raph almost never cried, and he didn't expect to cry under those terrible circumstances. He didn't expect whatever he said in sheer anger to become true.
Raph trembled as he tried to imagine what Donnie must be going through right at this moment.
He wondered what would happen now. Usually, Donnie is the one that finds the solution. But now, Donnie is the one that's in trouble. So, what are they supposed to do without him? How will they fix it?
Raph got up from the bed, wiping his tears as he opened his room's door.
It was night, and everyone was asleep.
He walked quietly through the halls until he arrived right where he wanted to be.
He stepped through the lab's open doors and turned on the lights. He looked around as he walked towards the table.
On the table, there were a bunch of notes. Raph smiled a sad smile as he recognized Donnie's writing.
"Raph?"
He yelped as he turned around swiftly to look at the lab's doors, only to see Mikey standing there, staring at him.
"Mikey!" Raph exclaimed in a whisper, feeling embarrassed since he was caught.
"I guess that we are here for the same reason." Mikey smiled as his eyes seemed red. Raph could easily see that he was crying.
"I know that you cried too, Raph." Mikey declared as he walked towards him, and Raph blushed.
"I didn't!" Raph exclaimed quietly in embarrassment.
"You have the right to be sad, Raph. It's not a shame to feel sorrow over Donnie." Mikey's voice slightly cracked as he looked at the same notes Raph looked at.
"I… Know. Donnie deserves at least that." Raph sighed.
"You know what I don't like, Raph?" Mikey said as he looked at the floor.
"What?" He replied in confusion.
"I don't like how we act as if he's gone forever." Mikey sighed, as Raph flinched.
"You noticed it too. Didn't you?" Mikey asked with a sad smile, as Raph looked away.
"Yeah… Sorry." Raph wasn't known to be one to apologize, but he could feel the need to. Perhaps, an apology for Donnie, since it sounds as if they have given up on him.
"You don't need to apologize. You just need to hope." Mikey looked into Raph's eyes, causing him to smile.
"Yeah, you are right." Raph walked towards the door as he called out. "Are you coming? We need to sleep and get stronger for Don."
Mikey smiled with excitement as he ran after him.
"Yeah!"
