"I know that, but which these items should we start with?" asked Otis, following up on the "cliffhanger" I left you all on.
"Oh, let me choose!" said Olympia, jumping up and down.
"Alright", said Oona.
"Oh, how about…" said Olmpia, closing her eyes and choosing an item at random, "a baseball trophy?"
"Are there even any games going on right now?" said Oona.
"Let's ask Charlie," said Otis, "I'll go get him." Otis quickly proceeded to do just that, bringing Charlie Brown to the table in record time.
"So, are there any baseball games coming up soon?" Otis asked Charlie Brown.
"Well, there was going to be a really big one this thursday," said Charlie Brown, "but then some of my guys couldn't make it."
"How many?" asked Olympia.
"Roughly four," replied Charlie Brown.
"That's perfect!" said Olympia, "There's four of us! We can play."
"Really?" asked Charlie.
"Sure!" said Oona, "We can do it."
"Alright!" said Charlie Brown, before walking off.
"Guys, are we sure about this?" asked Oscar.
"Oh, of course, why not?" said Oona.
"Um…" Oscar leaned in towards Oona and whispered.
"You can't play?" said Oona, perhaps a bit too loud.
"Yes," replied Oscar, "but you don't have to yell it."
"Well then, what will we do?" asked Oona. Everyone thought for a moment, before Olympia perked up with an idea:
"What year is it again?" she asked, and was told. "Okay, so he should be around at this point… Yep, I've got it!" She said.
"What is it?" asked Otis.
"I'll tell you after we transition." said Olympia.
*AWESOME TRANSITION, NOT JUST A CUT, BUT A FULL ON SCREENWIPE*
The gang arrived at a baseball field, as one reasonably would if they wished to learn baseball.
"We're going to Estimation Eddie!" said Olympia, with a little flourish.
"And you couldn't have just told us this before we got here, why exactly?" asked Otis.
"For dramatic effect. Anyways, there he is!" answered Olympia, pointing to a young boy who was walking up to them. He had a black baseball helmet on, and a baseball uniform as well. The baseball uniform was not black, (it was white with blue strips) but it worked none the less. Oh, he also had an eye patch. How could I forget?
"What do you want?" he asked.
"First of all, I just want to say: big fan of yours. Love what you did with Ophelia and Oz." said Olympia.
"Who…" replied Eddie.
"Oh right, that hasn't happened yet," said Olympia, "But, my friend over here" pointing to Oscar "needs to learn baseball, and fast. Can you help?"
"Sure, why not," he said, shrugging, "Not like I have anything else to do. Anyways, let's see what you've got."
"What do you mean?" asked Oscar.
"Oh, you'll take this bat," Eddie said, gesturing to a bat that most assuredly was not there a minute ago, "and try to hit some baseballs I'll throw."
"Wait, what baseballs?" said Oscar, looking around, "I don't see any." Oscar was then beaned in the head by a baseball, which Eddie had thrown at him. "Hey, what was that?" said Oscar.
"Don't worry where they're coming from, just hit!" said Eddie. And so Oscar tried. This quickly transformed into a cool montague of Oscar gradually improving at baseball, intercut with some funny actions by his friends and people around the town, set to cool music. I cannot be bothered to determine what music, so it's up to you. Here are some highlights of this montage:
* People slowly start to come into the field to watch. Notable faces include Lucy, Sally, Linus, and 555. (The last of which sits next to Oona)
* Roughly halfway through the montage, Oona goes up to Eddie and gets him to zap her up 4 hot dogs.
* She then shares these hot dogs among Olympia, herself, Otis, and 5.
* At one point, it cuts to Schroder, who is playing the music.
* At the end, Oscar finally manages to hit one out of the park at the end, which manages to go out, over everyone's heads, and knock Charlie Brown's clothes off. Even though he wasn't watching the game.
"Well, he's gotten better," said Eddie after the montage had ended and everyone had left, "Still not good, per say, but better."
"Alright!" said Olympia, "Now, we just need to find a team."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down." Eddie said, "You can't just try to get into a team with skills like that. He need at least two more weeks of this, daily, to be any good."
"Two weeks?" said Olympia, incredulously, "We don't have that kind of time."
"Well, it'd take that much time," said Eddie, "Anyway, what about the rest of you? How about y'all hit a few?"
"Sure!" said Olympia. They then proceeded to all try to hit a few. Olympia did pretty weel, managing to hit most of them. To the surprise of everyone, Oona hit all of them out of the park. Otis, however, missed them all. "Her and her," said Eddie, pointing to Olympia and Oona, "are pretty good. Could definitely get in on try-outs. Those two on the other hand," pointing to Oscar and Otis, "are not."
"See, I told you I couldn't play," said Oscar, "Now let's go with my idea."
"And what would that be?" asked Oona.
"We steal the trophy," answered Oscar.
"I'm up for it," said Otis.
"Well, I'm not," said Olympia.
"Neither am I!" said Oona.
"Well, what are we going to do?" asked Oscar.
"Let's call Charlie, and see if he can play with just two more people," said Oona, "That way, Olympia and me can try this legit, and you can rob it as a backup."
"Sure," said Oscar, "Call him."
And so Oona did. She used her badge phone to call Charlie Brown on his home phone. "Hey, could you play with just two more people, instead of three?" she asked.
"Sure," said Charlie Brown.
"Alright," said Oona, "thanks." She then hung up, and turned to Oscar. "Alright, he said okay," she said, "How about that?"
"Sure, that works," said Oscar.
"Just to be clear, Oona and me are going to actually play," said Olympia, "and you two are going to try to steal the trophy?"
"Well, we'll only try to steal the trophy if you aren't doing to well, okay?" said Oscar. Everyone else said, "Okay" in reply. And that is where I am going to leave you for now.
